I have a few and reasons so let's get into this!

will we talk is one of my faves bc it's such a vibe and one to scream, it's the one me and my bestfriend scream all the time (usually drunk) and dance to and when he came out to it at the concert we instantly felt at peace.

next is call me lover bc omg it's amazing and reminds me of my bf. as well as two people bc it's perfectly written and beautiful.

the dying light bc of my mum who passed away. before he plays that he always says "this is for the ones who didn't make the night" and i just think of my mum everytime he says it and it gets me really emotional bc even tho she isn't here, she's the reason i carry on. im living this life for us and she would of loved sam. i also chose it for my gcse concert music piece for her so it means a lot to me.

Keeping a Tidy Garden

I believe that for a garden to be productive, it should be tidy. Vegetable plants should be spaced properly to provide the room they need for maximum production. I cage my tomatoes so they grow up toward the sky and not into each other. I plant in a raised bed so that the grass does not grow into the rich topsoil I spread. Ideally, this also keeps the weeds out, but they are tenacious and sneaky. Some mornings it looks like the entire tract is choked by weeds. Many gardeners pluck them carefully, taking time to pull up the long taproots that weeds often have. I have a different technique. Drawing from a pile of soil I keep in reserve, I spread a layer of new dirt over the intruders. The layer is thin, but when I am done it looks like there were never any weeds. My plants stand tall and stark in contrast to the fresh new soil. The extra support is good for them. I nurture them with fresh water and fertilizer. They grow tall with my care.

But weeds have evolved to survive, and when I water my garden or the rain comes, the dirt is loosened and they poke their tendrils through to seek the sunlight again. They have driven their roots deep in the meantime; they have shot runners to snake and tangle across the surface. They rise and shake off the soil, seemingly stronger than before. I smooth dirt over them again, but as I care for my garden, the weeds draw strength. It is never long before the dandelion greens and the wild violets swirl to embrace my peppers and herbs. They are now impossible to peel off without ruining the vegetable plants, so I pack soil tightly up around them and hope that this time they are buried for good. Still the weeds rally and rise, and with growing fervor I try to push them back. I cover them again and again until the new soil reaches the top of the box and overflows into the yard. I pile it higher until the chard is smothered and the tomatoes can bear no fruit. The dirt in reserve runs out, but the mountain has grown high enough so that nothing can grow. There is no more tending the garden, it is hardly a garden at all. It is a monument to numbness: more concerned with covering the plants I did not want than nurturing the ones I did. There are no more weeds, but there is no excitement for the harvest, no savoring the first fruit of the fall. There are no plants at all. I have buried everything. My sorrow dies in the darkness, but my joy dies with it undifferentiated.
