Edit since a lot of people seem confused - your "real" name is the name that you want to be referred to in real life. It doesn't have to be your legal name. So if you're trans and you have a different name to whats on your birth certificate, even if not many people call you by the name, it still counts as your real name.

as much as I love batgirl 2024, I have to admit the lack of Barbara Gordon mentions in the whole series so far, especially with the first arc having such a big theme of motherhood/daughterhood and the things that comes with it, makes me soo sad. Barbara was the first person Cass actually considered as a mother! Barbara, although she wasn’t the best at it at first, truly did try to understand and love Cass unconditionally even when she was separated from the Bat mantle! And that panel where Cass overhears Barbara tell Dick that she doesn’t know how to really care for Cass could’ve been the perfect parallel to the whole “is a Mother just being connected by blood? No, Something more is owed/Being a daughter is more than being connected by blood” lines that Cass says in the last (current) issue because Barbara, though she did not physically bring Cass into this world, has sacrificed SO much for her, and in return Cass gave so much back.

Simon "Ghost" Riley Headcanons (sort of??)

Everytime I listen to this song, I can't help finding Simon Riley in the lyrics.

Greater love has no man than to die for his friends is the perfect exemplar of Simon's relationship with the 141, who he sees as his friends, even if Ghost would like to consider himself more detached.

Which is a feeling lightly sketched through this lyric: could You take my narrow love from me, and make it beautiful again?

Ghost sees his love, his devotion, as narrow. Impotent and lacking, and therefore something not worthy of giving. Though Simon will try anyway, and his team will accept graciously. Because it's part of him, and he is theirs.

Which ties in the (repeated four-fold) lyric: how could I not know I'm loved?

Also the play time is 4:44, which is just another bit of perfectly categorized symbolism for me.

The angel number 444 represents stability, security, and the importance of hard work to achieve your goals. Which is basically a rough definition of Ghost. Who clings to all these attributes by his cracked fingernails, hiding his downward spiral behind his mask.

Ayyyy im back again!!! For the past 2 Months or so school was hard, but now im like 2 days away from summer break so i can back to drawing silly states yay

These doodles (although very lazy, sorry) were inspired by (and have direct quotes from) @flarefoxxx ‘s amazing fanfic “Workplace crush”, cuz Gov/Greg has been making my brain rot for these months that I’ve been inactive and i just needed to draw something with these two (and so help me god i will combust if someone makes a fanfic of these two getting together) 😼

Important to mention that the designs that i do for the states may change a lot throughout every drawing of mine as im gonna study anatomy AND do some research about each state during the summer to try to find out kore about them

I don't think Boyd ever truly got over his paranoia. The Milkman may be gone, but the Voices and the Visions remain.

I spent all my energy on Boyd, but I'm still pretty happy with how Gloria turned out. I love her gravity-defying hair in the game, and I just wanted to give her a curly, gravity-defying ponytail. I think I should've lined her in literally any colour, tho.

I do wanna draw the rest of the Thorny Towers group, but I have no clue if I'll ever actually get around to it.

Character relations/opinions!

Alright before I post any more Battle Addict stuff I should probably explain what a League Council is. Here's a summarized diagram:

A Pokemon League is a region's network of specialized skilled trainers. It is run by the League Council, which includes finance, HR, marketing, PR, and other managing departments which are divided into different branches depending on who they work with.

This is all to say that everything gets messy very quickly when news of the diagnosis spreads through the network. Originally the diagnosis was supposed to be private information for only the Battle and League departments, however certain higher ups felt it was a safety risk and notified gym leaders as well in the event of future collaborations.

The network is mostly divided into people who are positive/neutral about the news, and people who feel negatively about the twins as a result. Coworkers who were already familiar/close with the two tend to be positive, or at least supportive, whereas those who didn't know them got another reason to avoid them. Some people think they should go on leave for "recovery", but some are more forward and want them terminated.

If you're wondering where Cynthia falls in this, she's a foreign top league worker (Sinnoh Champion) who is hosted in Unova. Basically she has dept. employees assigned to help her connect to people around the region and get different services if requested. She's basically watching everything unfold from the sidelines, with every interview about her opinion boiling down to "lol if you're scared of people stronger than you then get good". She does also bring up historic accounts of CM/HCCM though, mostly to clarify that CM is not a new or scary thing. She's not for or against the twins, rather just hoping to use this as an opportunity to teach others.

I didn't end up drawing her because I got tired but Elesa got the news too!! She actually got it before everyone else since the twins decided to go tell her beforehand. The general scene basically had Ingo and Emmet deliberating in the car, Ingo telling Emmet it's not too late to turn around and go home while Emmet was hesitant but adamant that they needed to tell her first. She probably took it the worst out of everyone but that's mostly just cause it caught her off guard that her friends would just randomly drop in to deliver the news. She's still rooting for them though, mostly trying to support the Subway with more collaborative events to make the twins look better after the hit from the media. She also tries to rework Emmet's restraints where possible, usually trying to make them look more cohesive with the rest of an outfit or trying to make them less visible (cause as much as Emmet says it's not a big deal it's still the first thing he looks at in his reflection).
