Your post regarding specifc places for things and some places dont need a vent channel it helped me realise that the people i follow online were damaging to my health. They were constantly sharing real people who died horrifically and saying things like "if you dont share you're supporting violence " while i only joined social media to view art.

I actively speak about real life events offline with my family, we always talk about whats happening in the world once a week and mention anything new within the local and worldwide news. I didn't understand why social media was worsening my mental health around these topics since i could speak about it in real life with my family. i assumed i was horrible for simply not wanting to see it online, When your post about a safe space came up i realised why it made me feel so bad, the artists i followed no longer were posting art and were just constantly sharing news daily about horrific events. It became inescapable and i was unknownly doomscrolling for hours on social media while hoping to see art (that just made me feel bad viewing after seeing so much death) , my only escape was going offline. I already made new accounts just for art and Im so thankful for your post since i did avoid everything that was about real world events since the account is only for art and i feel so much more.. i guess happier.. but definitely more mentally healthy if that makes sense? It felt like my mind was drained or foggy when scrolling through social media, and i wasnt actually paying attention before but now its a lot more, clear, healthy and positive. Im able to think properly and actually pay attention and appreciate the good things online

I'm so glad I was able to help you on your journey to bettering your wellbeing. Its an aspect of why I run this blog and talk about the things that I do.

So very often people don't actually register or realize what parts of their lives are causing stress. They attribute it to 'working too much' or 'not sleeping enough' without realizing that there are direct causes for things like not sleeping enough. And I'm not saying every single part of life comes back to activism, but very often we don't even realize how much negativity and forced awareness we're exposing ourselves to.

I used to religiously follow accounts on Instagram which posted about animal abuse. Other than a handful of celebrities my Instagram feed would be the most graphic videos you could imagine of people hacking into live dogs with axes, boiling cats alive in huge vats of water, jockeys tearing at horse's mouths until their teeth were loose and they were leaving a trail of blood as they walked the winner's circle.

I used to think if I wasn't constantly forcing myself to acknowledge that these things were happening, if I wasn't constantly reminding myself the extent at which these things happen, I was a bad person. I wasn't a real animal lover. If I truly loved animals why wasn't I sharing these videos? Why wasn't I sitting there with thousands of other people acknowledging what animals go through while I sit comfy at home doing nothing?

It got the point where I'd be throwing up constantly, I refused to sleep because I was terrified of the nightmares and my hands would shake as I opened up the Instagram app because I dreaded what I'd see today.

It wasn't helping me. It wasn't helping the animals. I'm just as aware now of what animals go through without having to see any of it.

But now, I have the wellbeing to actually devote myself to meaningful activism. Not just tormenting myself to no outcome. Now, I have the willpower and the energy to sign petitions and do research and take steps in my own life to better the welfare of the animals in my care.

Now I can sleep at night and wake up well-rested with the energy and the motivation to do things both for myself and for other people. Now, I can scroll Instagram and leave polite, correctional comments on misguided videos about animals. Now I have the knowledge to devote my attention and my efforts to where it actually makes a difference and changes animal's lives.

It is such, such a hard thing to drag yourself out of. We're so conditioned into thinking suffering shared is suffering lessened. We're so conditioned into believing that by spamming words anywhere we can we are the direct cause of change.

Its a hell of a learning climb. A steep one. But I genuinely believe the world would be better off for learning and changing as we both had the courage to.

Mostly OOC but since I mention a left-wing streamer who usually mostly does politics I'm going to vent about this here.

I don't usually watch Hasan. I don't really like his "America bad no matter what" attitude. But I do follow the fan Twitter account that's dedicated to his pet bear.

About a week ago or so he had a stream where he got a tour of an animal sanctuary and he advertised it with him feeding a young rat and the fan account retweeted it so I caved in and watched it. (Because I'm a sucker for animals.)

In the sanctuary there were some animals who were rescued from an illegal wild animal auction. (It's California, so I imagine that they mostly appeal to celebrities.)

There was a fox who was bred to have a shorter snout and he's just a bit too domesticated to be released into the wild, but still not domesticated enough to be a pet because he's not a pet. He has a really pretty gray/black coat and he was pretty nervous, probably because of where the hell he came from.

So here's where the venting really comes in- I went to a local pet store to get some things for my rabbits and they had a black Pomeranian mix who looks a lot like that fox. Anybody who wants a black fox who's been poorly bred could just get a damn dog who looks like one!

I love that dog. He's super friendly and is absolutely loving the attention he was getting from me, but when I was petting him I was still getting mad. Just get a fucking dog if you want a fucking dog!

Or don't, actually. I don't trust anybody who would want a selectively bred wild animal as a pet to ever have any pet. Somebody who will buy a wild animal only wants the novelty of owning a wild animal, not a companion.

I Watched A Third Of YourEverdayTheorist’s Extinct Disney Iceberg Video. You Know What That Means.

There used to be fairy tale themed rides. 

There was an electrical parade involving animatronics, people in mascot costumes, actors and techno music. These began in 1969. They were also brought back in 1999 after demand. They remained up until the mass evacuation. It eventually involved the “mascots”.  

There used to be a people mover expy sponsored by US Royal. These were installed in 1953. After a ton of injuries and even deaths, Isaac demanded for them to be removed in 1960. They were temporarily brought back in the early 80’s-early 90’s. 

The park used to have the second largest ceramic mosaic mural in the world. 

There was a gold titanium Rambley sign at some point. 

There was a Rambley’s soundsational parade. It was scrapped the year before the evacuation. 

There was a skyway expy built in 1970. Unlike the Disney skyway, they used the newer ticket system that was being implemented at the time. Like the Disney skyway, they built a ride around it. They were eventually closed two years before the evacuation. 

There was a much easier to steer autopopia that was eventually scrapped some time after Isaac’s death. 

There was a Lloyd themed film attraction very akin to the Muppet Vision 3D ride. There weren’t as many cheap gags as the latter. 

There was a Mollie themed attraction very similar to the It’s Tough To Be A Bug attraction. Animatronics, 3D glasses, all the stuff. 

There was a walk-through attraction where you could go through the characters’ homes close to their museum. They were partially scrapped/left abandoned in 2000. 

Isaac Indigo and WWF made a ride before similar to how Walt Disney and General Electric made the carousel of progress. It would talk about the importance of being stewards of the Earth, the importance of saving endangered species and the dangers of animal abuse. This is ironic considering… The ride featured animatronics and a timeline of WWF’s history. It was scrapped suspiciously some time before the new mascots were implemented. 

There was a ride made in 1970 that took the rider through a tour of Indigo Park’s history. It showed the land it was built on before and after its creations and explained how Isaac Indigo’s vision had come true in a year. It was unfortunately scrapped in 2010. The film is still in the data files of the park. 

There was a center where Mollie would guide you through the history of the airplane implemented in 2000. It was scrapped in 2011 and changed into a character meet and greet. 

The arcade with the game we all know and want to know more about was established in 1977.

Gonna put this under a read more cause it's extremely sensitive content for a lot of people, but...

Dazai's Father was a monster.

It wasn't even what he did to Dazai that made him that way in Dazai's eyes. Dazai had raised a cat from a very young age, bottle feeding it, and it was his constant companion for many years.

In the end his Father tortured and killed it in front of him just to get a reaction out of him.

He will forgive his Father for abusing him, but he never forgave him for that specific instance. Ever. He considered going back to his family home to murder him many times while he was in the mafia.

In the end he chose to leave it alone and walk away. No one really understands why he made that choice.

but i don't wanna do the regular key ring/bracelet/earing/pin stuff, i wanna hide it so i can surprise other trainers.

Also, I hope you've gotten your license for that key stone. If you haven't gone through the rigorous training required before attempting Mega Evolution, it's a felony in a lot of regions, since it's considered Pokemon abuse in that case.

I am sick and tired of seeing shit takes from people about how characters like Sawako (Kimi ni Todoke) and Miyo (My Happy Marriage) are "unfeminist" because they're shy and soft-spoken. When Miyo is literally that way as a SURVIVAL TACTIC because SHE WAS FUCKING ABUSED And Sawako is showed to have social anxiety and the other kids are shown to kind of bully her. But both girls gain confidence and strength as both series progress. NOT ALL WOMEN HAVE TO BE STONE COLD BADASSES TO BE STRONG!!! Geez…

I genuinely don't fucking care what you like in fiction. I don't care how disgusting, heinous, or "illegal" (not actually) it is, as long as you aren't agreeing with it or acting out things you read in a non-roleplay/fiction setting.

You can read about someone being raped. You can read about a child being raped. You can read about incest. You can read about pedophilic incest. You can read about someone fucking a dog. You can read about someone being raped by an animal. You can read about someone grooming someone else. You can read about horrible power imbalances. You can read about Victim x Abuser. You can read about gang rape. You can read all of that and more, whether the content is "romanticizing" or "sexualizing" it or putting it in a "positive light", because I do believe if you're reading these things you are capable enough to not have your morals and "respect" of laws immediately broken because you didn't get told 100 different times during the story how bad the content was.

You can read WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT, however you want, forever and ever. Don't act out the fiction in real life unless roleplaying with another consent adult (or teenager within your age range if you're not 18+) and it DOESN'T MATTER.

Fiction can affect reality, but usually only if you're allowing it to. Children oftentimes shouldn't be online but even if they are, it is never an authors fault or the people who enjoy the fiction the author writes that the child ends up exposed to bad things. If someone who is mentally unwell and cannot separate fiction and reality due to this is online and is affected by these things, it is not the authors fault or the fault of the people who enjoy the authors fiction.

If something that someone else wrote affects someone else in a bad way, it is not the authors fault.

Censorship of fiction is bad no matter what, and if you want to censor any form of fiction you are automatically already getting closer to people like transphobes and racists and ableists, because being pro-censorship ALWAYS leads down the same exact rabbit hole of puritan beliefs and controlling others.

I love thinking about Bucky and Steve volunteering post-Endgame so here is where I think they would volunteer.

My headcanon for Bucky is an animal shelter. He sees one of those sappy ASPCA commercials and it upsets him so badly that he decides he needs to start volunteering. At first, he mostly like feeds and cleans little kitties and puppies, which he loves. He loves how even the teeny little kittens don't see him as a threat. They meow and lick at his fingers and it just makes him feel so warm and fuzzy inside because everybody else in the world sees him as a murderer but they just see him as the nice guy who brings them food and gives them belly scratches. But after a while, Bucky finds himself drawn to the "aggressive dogs." The ones that the shelter says are pretty much doomed to die there. The ones who were thrown into dogfighting when they were just puppies, the ones who never knew kindness. The pitties with big, sad eyes who bark at anyone who tries to touch them. He offers to help with them one day, because he's strong enough that he doesn't have to worry about being bitten or anything. They don't bite at Bucky, though. He knows how to move, how to reach for them, how to show them that they won't be met with violence. They don't understand what Bucky went through, but they seem to trust him in a unique way.

My headcanon for Steve is a children's hospital. Everyone kinda figures he's doing the whole "superhero who visits sick kids" thing, mostly for publicity, but he starts going back often and forming friendships with these kids and their families, and soon enough he's practically an uncle to most of the kids there. He knows the strength they have, just to stay alive, he remembers it all too well. They all marvel at his muscles and his shield, but he knows he was stronger pre-serum than he ever was after. They see themselves in him, they tell him they're getting medicine that's going to make them better "just like him" and they ask him if getting the serum was scary during their infusions. He shares Sarah Rogers' wisdom with their parents. He makes silly sketches of whatever the kids request, and they always giggle at his old-fashioned jokes and his inability to grasp modern slang. They ask him if he knew Abraham Lincoln or Cleopatra and he makes up elaborate stories to keep them entertained.

I’ve seen multiple antis now complain that proshippers turned the Kyle Carrozza situation into a proship vs anti thing

I’m gonna add the following sentence in big letters so everyone understands:

the proship vs anti discussion is an integral part in this case!

We cannot have this discussion about Kyle Carrozza, Tony Goldmark and Jane Amber without mentioning the fact that this was a coordinated attack on an abuse survivor who was coping with cartoon aliens. And it blew up after the victim tried to make people aware of Kyle’s abuse

And yes I’m saying this was 100% coordinated, by people both from inside the animation industry and outside of it. Heck, Kyle Carrozza was literally regarded as a saint because he spoke up about the bad evil cartoons that people who defended and still defend Ang like, and there are people who took this assumption, that everyone likes what Ang was into, as fact

Kyle Carrozza got away with owning more than 600 child sexual abuse images for years because he rode on the moral panic discourse that antis helped to spread around to this day, successfully distracting everyone from the many many victims. Which neither Jane nor Tony ever apologized to. In fact, anyone reaching out to Tony is an “Ang stan” and blocked, even completely unrelated people are dismissed

Antis (and the two previously mentioned people) also still sympathize with Carrozza because they won’t and will never admit that the rhetoric they spread ends up helping abusers. People keep long, very very long archived records of this thing happening for years, and when we point exactly it out, they’ll just paint themselves as the poor poor victim who is attacked because they think obsessing over what someone likes in fiction and thinking someone’s fictional preferences = real life morals is completely normal.

”Kyle wasn’t an anti, he just pretended to be one!” is such a funny admission in the last screenshot. “Someone who calls out proshippers and libels them as pedophiles CANT be a bad person!” is exactly how predators get away with either grooming and or abusing people for so long

also Tony goldmark literally used the word “proshippers” and “antis” on his public Facebook posts (these are from before Kyle’s arrest and are also still likely up)

I want to expose these screenshots of my former friend and mutual (@therealfurina) and some others in the discord server for enabling pro-contact paraphilia. These screenshots have evidence of such behavior. Some of these screenshots were taken by my boyfriend since I was banned for calling them out.

I've reported the server but I'm trying to bring this issue to light so that she doesn't get free because this isn't right.

I'm sorry that this has to be my first post after getting out of my HIATUS on Tumblr, but I don't want any more people falling into this rabbit hole because of enablers like her.
