Exciting adventure tonight
Went out in the dark & the pouring rain to bag the nest of bald-faced hornets
Precautionary measures:
(Not pictured: work gloves tucked into jacket cuffs, jeans tucked into boots, with rubber bands to keep all the joins airtight)
The nest was larger than my 5-gallon bucket, in both length and girth, which led to an exciting moment where I had to abandon ship for a while until the rain beat them back down:
Came back with a big lawn leaf bag & got the whole mess into a carryable arrangement. Brought it to a spot under the pine grove far from everything important, loosed the bag, and ran like fuck.
I had to brush off the five or so who managed to cling onto me, but I escaped without being stung!

So I dreamt up a whole trailer for Silksong and it was ridiculous:
First of all, the trailer music was Dung Defender's theme. Dunno why, but fitting, somehow. So play that in the background while you read this post.
Second of all, at some point, it said Solksing instead of Silksong.
Third, it was revealed in E3, and as soon as the trailer started everyone knew why it had taken so long because the entire game was in 3D.
The overall tone was much less serious than that of Hollow Knight, and there were a lot of cutscenes and dialogue where Hornet reacted to past and present stuff.
I feel the need to point out that Hornet was specifically upset that Lurien's giggle was squiggly.
The Pale King's ghost hovered around a disgruntled Hornet like a genie giving shitty life advice.
Some cutscenes were in an entirely different art style, one of which depicted Hornet as some sort of forest rabbit sprite.
Also, Hornet would be very disappointed if a quest was failed, which made players feel bad.
And that's about it.
I spent my bleary morning hours thinking about "squiggly giggle".
