And you see some of them condos have features like it there's only one that has all of it it's really really tucked away in a corner and it's over by the bird sanctuary it's a huge place and it's structurally not sound but it is the look and it looks nice and a lot of people want that much it will make the whole town look affluent instead of like full of bums

So it's going forwards and we have more calls in from the remaining 70 20 more call in you can't say we have deals but that leaves only 50 we haven't spoken to and we do have deals on 120 properties is going up soon 160 properties. yessss!!! This is exactly what I meant, well said. “nothing about their life ever looks like they worry about a budget or if they can afford XX thing” so true. the wedding really cemented this for me. I went into season 4 thinking “well they’re probably not gonna be able to afford a big wedding barely two years after they bought the loft and maybe they’ll fight about this and elope” but I stuck with this idea because nothing about their wedding planning gave us an inkling about how big it was gonna be. In episode 1 tk says this location was “in their budget” and they toured placed that were out of their budget (what was their budget and what places did they tour? Actual Medieval Castles?). The way they reacted to the flower arches you’d think they were getting married in a barn but that location could easily fit 4 or 6 flower arches and those enormous centrepieces Andrea chose.

I’d guess they both come from money, both Owen and Gwyn made good money and they lived in NY which is more expensive than Austin. And Carlos wouldn’t be able to afford a classic car, a condo and loft in his twenties (god I wish that were me) on a beat cop salary. And they go to the farmer market (most expensive lettuce and eggplants you’ll ever see) and they order take out when Carlos “doesn’t feel like cooking”. And they talk about going to Tuscany or China or having kids (very expensive activities) and money are not even on the radar.

But then they casually say stuff like Carlos “barely being able to afford his car” and “paramedics making less than firefighters” (tk replies “I think I’m doing okay” I think you’re doing better than that buddy) and “not being able to afford flowers” and sometimes they sound like a normal couple in their twenties and then Carlos whips out a Le Creuset 10 Piece Cookware Set.

I wanted tarlos to circle back to their fight about money because it’s the reason they broke up and I wanted to see their growth. Fights about money are very realistic but rarely seen on tv.

Except it’s not gonna be realistic at all if the couple with the classic car (maybe two cars? Does tk have a car?), the loft downtown close to the hottest clubs in Austin (3rd priciest city in the US) and the wedding with 150 people in a fairytale location fights about idk groceries or taxes.
