Might not update this often as I do not have a title or anything for it and nobody probably will read it so I don't know if I'm talking to anybody but if I am thankyou! :)
Summary:
It's about a person whose parents get divorce and because their mum has financial issues they live with her mum's best friend for a while. The mum's best friend is the mother to Shawn Mendes and Aaliyah Mendes. Y/N hits it off really well with Shawn and that's all I have so far but I know it will remain pretty light-hearted and non-sexual either way.
This is my first time ever writing a fanfiction so I tried to make it pretty easy for a light read when you're bored and want something not too hard on the brain. loosely based on a dream I had, the person in my dream was a completely made up person, I just thought that I might as well make a fanfiction about it because I haven't had a dream in a while and it was kind of cute so I don't want to forget it.
It had finally been summer break, all those miserable memories of school were starting to vanish from your recollection, you were excited and surprisingly motivated to socialise with your friends and make those crucial coming of age movie moments. But of course none of that was upon your horizon, this was because nothing worth living through ever happened in your life, for instance the last eventful thing that occurred in your life was when your parents' marriage fell apart and you then had to start living with your mum who then began struggling with finding a permanent house. Regardless of that you were still disappointed when you were told that your next three weeks will be spent in some weird town purely because your mum's bestie (Shawn's mum) lives there.
The whole way to this town you let your mind wonder; what will it be like there, is it hot or cold? Will any of your friends miss you? How long is this drive? Will it be annoying to change the radio channel? Is your mum really ok? Did you forget any belongings at your dad’s? Will you ever be proud of how you live life? Are there gonna be any cool people there? Apparently your mum's friend has 2 kids, Shawn Mendes and Aaliyah Mendes. For your sake you've hoped that the one your age at least will be approachable, especially because your therapist had recently told you to meet new people and put yourself out there, your real self.
This drive was truly revealing of you and your mum's relationship, you had always had a certain awkwardness about you and now that was clashing with your mum's personality, she was and always had been the hardest person to read. You figured you would switch between listening to music and watching a show but the tension was just too much so you just began to ask those questions you thought of earlier, none of the deep ones though mainly just like what your mum remembered about Shawn's mum and what to expect.
Whilst bored in the car you came up with the best plan. Well… now that you know the first AND last names of who you're visiting (your mum told you) you impulsively decided to stalk their Instagram's and Spotify. Was this the most moral thing you’ve done? Not at all, did it give you fuel to make a judgment about them and prepare yourself? Yes. Luckily nothing was really too alarming with either of their Instagram's, they were all pretty casual and had photos of when they’d travel or do fun stuff at home with an occasional photo of just themselves in a fit check or like a selfie, you were way too scared to look at their stories though. You found you have similar taste in music with all of them to some degree, and none of them had Spotify followers which was honestly a huge green flag.
You gave special attention to Shawn's Spotify as you gathered you two would bond the most as the 19 year olds, his carefully crafted almost endearing playlist had phenomenal music and perfect covers. Your favourite was the one titled “I miss quality time”, it consisted of songs so good they felt nostalgic but you’ve never heard before, songs that can capture moments for eternity and give them gracious hugs. With one hour left of the drive you plugged in your earphones and began listening to it unshuffled, certain lyrics would catch your ear and result in you pondering whether it also caught the attention of Shawn's ear or moreover his heart.
i'm sorry this is awful :(

Roaring engines (Shawn Mendes AU)
WARNING, this story contains:
Sex
Dirty talk
Pickering is a small town and nothing really happens there, so when Gina’s cousin takes her to an industrial area for some illegal street racing Gina doesn’t expect much. She definitely doesn’t expect to get fucked on the hood of a car in a deserted neighborhood.
aka
I have a car kink, here’s some street racing and kinky sex.
AN: this is definitely a sidenote but I imagined Gina as Stephanie Beatriz for some reason. You can obviously imagine anyone you want.
”Ready?” The tall brunette asked as he looked over at me from the driver’s seat. I looked out the windshield where two guys had drawn a white line on the street with those crayons made for children. It wasn’t even a straight line but it didn’t matter as long as the cars were standing behind it.
How’d I end up with a stranger in his matte black, very expensive Audi you may ask. Well, the short answer is that my cousin Becky is in a different car, standing next to us behind the crayon drawn line, with her boyfriend and since everyone drive in pairs I ended up with this stranger whose name apparently is Shawn.
Apparently street racing is what the kids in Pickering do during the weekends. There’s a industrial area that basically shuts down completely after five pm on Friday’s and no one sets foot in the neighborhood until 7am on Monday. The police probably know that the kids in town use this area as their own street racing venue but they probably don’t care at this point, maybe they even feel bad for the kids since there’s literally nothing else to do in this boring suburban town.
I’m not even from this town and I can already tell that it’s probably the most boring town ever. I can sort of related to that though, I grew up in a rural farming town where there was literally nothing to do during the weekends. I moved to New York as soon as I could, I fought hard to get good grades in high school because I was desperate to get away from the small town I grew up in. I’ve lived in New York for a little over a year now and I love it. I love the people, the buildings and the pulse of the big city. I love being surrounded by people everywhere I go and I love that everything is always open and available, I can go shopping at nine pm if I want and I can go clubbing whenever I want using my fake ID. It’s such a different vibe from the small town where my cousin Becky is currently stuck.
I feel bad for Becky but then again she’s a senior in high school and soon she’ll be able to escape this town if she wants. Toronto isn’t that far away and I really don’t understand why she doesn’t just hop on a train and go there on the weekends but then again, knowing my aunt and uncle they’re probably super strict with her when I’m not around. At least the parents living in this suburb are rich and willing to spoil their children. I mean someone’s gotta pay for these expensive fast cars and I’m sure the kids themselves aren’t paying.
”Yeah.” I replied as I looked over at the car next to me where Becky was sitting with her boyfriend.
”Pretty bold of you to get into a car with a stranger…” Shawn grinned as he kept his hands on the wheel, he was more than ready to floor it the second his friend outside the car waved his arm in the air, indicating that the race was on.
Shawn was right, it was pretty bold of me to get into a race with someone I don’t know, for all I know he could be a shitty driver and get us killed by the second corner but since he’s managed to survive so far, I think we’re good.
You seem to know what you’re doing.” I replied with a shrug as I watched his fingers wrap around the thick, black steering wheel. The car was of a slightly older model but it had a lot of work done. I’m sure these kids have nothing better to do so they probably put all their free time, money and energy on their cars. ”Besides, I tend to easily trust men with brown eyes.” I said as looked over at him in the driver’s seat. Not only did he have pretty, trustable brown eyes but he also had dark brown curly hair and a few tattoos scattered across his exposed light brown, tanned skin. He was my type of guy for sure and I wasn’t mad about the pairing at all. Maybe if I’m lucky I’ll get to have a good night and an even better orgasm.
”Oh really?” Shawn grinned as he looked out of the windshield, waiting for his friend to signal that it was time to start the race.
The boring industrial neighborhood was made up of several blocks with dimly lit street lights, grey buildings and backyards full of garbage or whatever else was scattered across the lots. There was no people to be found and if Pickering hadn’t been filled with rich white families, the area would’ve probably been way sketchier and filled with drug addicts or homeless people but now it was just an arena for the town’s teenagers to mess around.
”Mhm.” I hummed as I too looked at the tall boy standing outside the car.
It was warm outside, summers in Canada are beautiful, there’s so much light and natural beauty once you leave the big city and Canada is filled with beautiful scenery. It was nine pm and the sun was still up, gracing the edge of the horizon and tinting the sky into a soft pin color. It was beautiful.
Shawn was dressed in a white T-shirt and despite the heat a black leather jacket with silver buttons on it. He’d paired everything with a pair of light washed skinny jeans and there was a silver watch gracing his right wrist and a matching silver ring wrapped around his middle finger on his right hand. He was tall, dark and handsome which was everything I was looking for in a man and I couldn’t believe my cousin hadn’t told me about him earlier.
”Becky didn’t mention she has a hot, older cousin.” Shawn grinned as he glanced over at me in my seat. I was wearing a black crop top with a heart shaped cleavage, the straps were pimped up with some cute rhinestones and the black was low cut with cute criss-crossed straps. It was a typical go-out top and I may have been a little bit overdressed but it all worked out fine since I ended up in a hot stranger’s car. I’d paired my crop top with a pair of ripped jean shorts and a pair of cute black, heeled sandals.
”Well, now you know.” I grinned as I leaned back in the premium leather seat.
The boy outside the car waved his hand and the race was on. All four cars that had been patiently waiting by the chalk white line zoomed down the street. Shawn pressed the pedal to the metal and I could feel myself sink into the seat below me as the car sped off. Shawn looked concentrate, his eyes focusing on the road ahead as he, without looking, reached for the gear shift to change gear. His legs moved swiftly, his knees hitting the bottom of the dashboard, as he pressed down on the clutch and released it over and over again before reaching the maximum gear.
”Sorry, I didn’t get your name?” Shawn carried on the conversation as if we weren’t zooming down the street at 80 miles per hour. The streets in the industrial area only had one lane going in each direction but they were wide enough for the cars to pass by each other. There was no other traffic, the area was completely empty and it was like the street lights could barely be bothered to stay lit because they too knew that nobody was gonna walk or drive by them.
”It’s Gina.” I replied with a giggle. Shawn swiftly swerved around a large corner, his leg stomping on the break as he shifted down to a lower gear before speeding off again.
I had no idea if there was a price involved in this race or if they were just competing for fun but Shawn seemed determined to win. The car roared loudly as he shifted gear again, his hand blindly guiding the stick into its right place as if he’d done it a million times before, he probably has done it a million times before.
”Gina…” Shawn repeated my name as if he wanted to taste every syllable and see what it would sound like coming out of his mouth. ”So like-” Shawn paused as we zoomed down another wide road. The road felt much smaller and shorter than it probably was. The grey concrete buildings zoomed by us way too fast and I could feel the butterflies inside my stomach come to life as I watched Shawn swerve around another corner. The tires squeaking as he stomped on the break in order to avoid making too wide of a turn. ”Did you guys grow up together?” His tone indicated that he had no idea what else to say and that he wasn’t really interested in my relationship with my cousin but he was too concentrated on the race to come up with an actual conversation starter.
”Yeah, we did.” I laughed softly as I watched his right hand grab a hold of the stick to guide it back into another gear. The car roared as he pressed the gas while simultaneously easing up on the clutch. So far we were in the lead, not that I cared. I was slightly impressed by his driving skills and I had to admit that if this was the only entertainment these kids had during the weekends, then it was at least a fun and thrilling experience.
”So is it like your mom and-” Shawn continued to small talk as his eyes focused on the road. I could tell that he was completely uninterested in my family tree but he still wanted to talk about something.
”My mom and her mom are sisters.” I giggled as I watched the buildings zoom by as we entered our second lap.
”Right…” Shawn hummed as he reached for the hand break. Since this was an older model there was still a physical hand break instead of a button like the more modern cars have. Instead of breaking with his right foot, Shawn pulled the hand break as we entered the curvy part of the road. The car swerved and the tires shrieked as they rubbed against the warm asphalt. Shawn never lost control as he skillfully turned the wheel and followed along the cars movement. I’m pretty sure he was just trying to show off because the friction between the tires and the ground probably wasn’t the best thing for the sake of the car.
I winced a little as the car drifted closer to the metal fence closing off one of the industrial lots. I trusted Shawn not to total his car and kill us but it still made me a little nervous that we were surrounded by metal fences and concrete buildings.
”You’re not scared, are you?” Shawn sounded both worried and a little amused as he noticed my squint in the corner of his eye.
”No.” I replied with confidence as I straightened up in my seat, I refused to come across as a wimp especially now that there was a smug grin plastered across his perfectly sculpted lips.
”Good.” Shawn exclaimed as he looked over at me, giving me a quick wink before turning his attention back to the road.
We rounded the last corner and Shawn once again pulled the hand break as we crossed the finishing line. I felt the force pull me forward as Shawn forced the car to come to a completely stop before shutting it off. He stepped out of the car and raised his arms in the air, celebrating his victory.
”Fuck yeah!” Shawn called out as the rest of the cars joined us by the finish line. ”You all owe me 20 bucks!” Shawn cheered as he watched his friends jump out of their cars. I let out a chuckle as I noticed the excitement on Shawn’s face. It was such a boyish thing to be excited over but I mean it was all for fun so I couldn’t really judge him or anyone else. ”Hand them over!” Shawn called out as he walked around his friend group and collected his reward.
”This was just a warm up.” Shawn’s friend called back as he bitterly handed over a twenty dollar bill to his friend. ”Imma win this round and then you owe me forty.” Shawn’s friend exclaimed loudly to make sure everyone heard him and Shawn laughed in amusement as if he was unbeatable.
”Alright, let’s go! You and I!” Shawn sounded vindictive even though he’d already won.
Shawn jumped back into the car and this time there was only two cars waiting at the white chalk drawn line.
”If I win this, you can have half of it.” Shawn spoke proudly as he playfully roared the engine to challenge his friend.
”Thanks.” I laughed, I wasn’t in desperate need of twenty dollars but if he wants to give them away for free I’m good with that.
Shawn’s friend once again motioned for the raise to start and the cars sped off. This time the race was more even than before, Shawn’s friend was right there next to us as we swerved around the first curve. I could feel the butterflies twitch inside my stomach as the two cars almost brushed against each other despite the wide road.
”So…” Shawn once again trailed off without knowing where the sentence was going. ”Are you like half Dominican like Becky?”
”Yeah.” I couldn’t help but to laugh a little at the awkward conversation we were having. It was clear to me that he didn’t know what else to ask or say while driving.
Shawn’s fingers gripped the steering wheel tightly as he blindly reached for the stick to shift gears. I let my eyes trail over his concentrated face as he kept his brown eyes on the road. There was something about them that made me trust him, maybe it was the dark color or the depth of them. Shawn pursed his lips into a thin lined pout as he concentrated on his driving. His long legs struggled as he pressed down and released the clutch, his thick thighs almost brushing against the lower part of the steering wheel as he continued to alter between the gas, break and clutch.
I was impressed and kind of turned on at the same time. There was something about the concentration on his face mixed with his skillset that made my pussy tingle. I usually don’t get turned on that easily but the thrill of going 80 miles per hour in an industrial area was probably also contributing to my arousal.
We rounded the last corner once again and I watched as Shawn pulled the hand break right on time, stopping the car right above the finishing line only seconds before his friend. Shawn flashed me a cheeky grin as he looked over at me.
”Would you look at that, I beat your ass again.” Shawn rolled down the window as his friend pulled up next to us. He rolled his eyes at Shawn as he was once again found himself defeated.
”You’re just lucky.” His friend called out dismissively as Shawn’s entire face was beaming in amusement.
”Luck has nothing to do with it.” Shawn called back at his friend before rolling up his window. ”Unless, you’re my lucky charm.” His grin widened as he stared back at me. It was such a cheesy thing to say but I let it slip because he was hot. Hot people can get away with anything.
”Maybe I am.” I returned a cheeky grin as I looked at him. Shawn’s eyes shifted towards the curly black hair as I twirled it around my finger. Shawn kept his eyes on me, the car was still on even though the rest of the people were starting to exit their cars to take a break before the next round. I could feel the sexual tension between us and I didn’t want to ruin the moment by going outside and joining the other’s so instead I decided to improvise. ”Can I try?” I asked as my eyes met Shawn’s gaze. His eyes shifted as he stared at me slightly confused, the grin on his lips slowly faded as he realized that I was serious.
”Do you know how to drive a stick?” He asked as he looked at me skeptically. He stayed silent as if he was waiting for me to smack my forehead and say oh gosh golly, I totally don’t know anything, I’m such a dumb little girl. Okay, maybe he didn’t expect me to say exactly that, but he definitely didn’t expect me to say yes.
”Yes!” His eyes widened as he stared at me, slightly impressed by my answer.
”Are you sure?” He asked, wanting to make sure I was capable of driving his fast car. I rolled my eyes a little as another small grin spread across my lips.
”I grew up on the country side, I’ve been driving stick since I was 14.” I pointed out with a cheeky grin as I stared back into his brown eyes, challenging him to interrogate me further before he handed over his keys to me.
”Okay fine.” Shawn said as he pulled the car key out and placed it in my hand. He could’ve just left it in the ignition but for some reason he wanted to firmly place it in the palm of my hand.
The butterflies inside my stomach fluttered as I felt his large fingertips brush against my soft skin. A smirk spread across Shawn’s lips as he stepped out of the car and held the driver seat open for me to climb inside before he seated himself in the passenger seat.
”If you total my car, I’m gonna fucking kill you.” Shawn spoke with a low, dark voice as he watched me fasten my seatbelt. I let out a small laughter as I pressed the key into the ignition.
”Sure, but you’re gonna have to pay for my funeral.” I raised my eyebrows at him challengingly as the car came to life with a big roar. ”And you’re gonna have to tell my mom that I’m dead and she’s gonna be devastated.” I whispered with a low flirtatious voice as I looked into his chocolate brown eyes.
Shawn watched as I pressed down my left foot on the clutch. His eyes diverting towards my small delicate hand as I wrapped it over the large stick to pull it into the first gear. My left foot slowly eased up on the clutch as my right foot pressed down the gas and just like that, we were off.
”See, no problem.” I gloated with a big grin in amusement as I shifted into the second gear. I pressed down the gas hard and shifted straight from the second to forth gear before once again easing up on the clutch. Shawn looked a little taken back as I gave it my all, my hand once again swiftly shifting to the sixth and highest gear as we reached enough speed.
The car ran perfectly fine and it was a pleasure to be able to drive again. I hadn’t driven anything during my year in New York, there’s no point in owning a car or driving in the city. I kind of miss going on long late night drives every now and then.
”I can handle a stick.” I boasted as I looked over at Shawn with a smug grin on my lips. He was grinning too as he watched me shift down before the big curve. I swerved around the curve just like Shawn had done earlier and he seemed mighty impressed by my driving skills as he watched me stomp on the break and clutch while simultaneously shifting the gear all the way down to the second gear before pressing the gas and shifting back up again after the curve.
”I never once doubted you.” Shawn replied teasingly as I pressed the pedal to the metal and sped off down the street. I didn’t turn where Shawn had previously turned, instead I continued straight as I maxed out the speedometer at 100 miles per hour. The car could probably go even faster but the industrial area was small and I didn’t wanna top out the speed if I had to turn around a few miles down the road.
”You look surprised?” I asked as I arched my eyebrows at him, my grin reflecting the confidence I was feeling inside.
”I mean-” Shawn shrugged as his eyes watched me intently as I focused on the blurry road ahead of me. ”Most girls don’t know how to drive stick.” Shawn shrugged as he watched my bare legs shift in my seat as I stomped down on the clutch and break.
”Well, I’m not like most girls.” I grinned as I spoke with a low seductive voice. My eyes gave him a quick glance as the car almost came to a stop before I managed to make a complete U-turn. “And I grew up on a farm.” I added with a chuckle.
”I can tell.” Shawn cooed as his eyes shifted towards my right hand as I pushed the stick into place before easing up on the clutch again.
”So…” I hummed as I pressed the gas down. I didn’t know my way around this town and the easiest thing to do was to turn back around and drive the same way back. ”How long is this break gonna be?” I asked as I looked over at Shawn. I wasn’t driving nearly as fast as before because I wanted to be able to talk at the same time.
”I don’t know, like twenty minutes or something.” Shawn shrugged as he looked back at me, the two of us staring into each other’s eyes. I could feel the sexual tension between us, his dark brown eyes were unable to tear away from my body and I could tell by his facial expression that he was both impressed and a little turned on by my driving skills.
I wiggled my eyebrows at him as I swiftly swerved around a random corner. I had no idea where I was going but considering the entire neighborhood was empty, we were sure to have some privacy either way.
”Wanna fuck?” I asked boldly as I looked over at Shawn in the passenger seat. My sweet grin widening as his eyes widened in surprise. He looked back at me with beaming eyes as I turned around another corner. I couldn’t find a parking lot or anything else, just a bunch of fenced up industrial lots.
”I thought you’d never ask.” Shawn replied with a cheeky grin as he looked over at me.
”I’m kinda disappointed that I had to ask.” I whispered as I bit the corner of my bottom lip.
”Why’s that?” Shawn asked as he looked at me with curious eyes. His brown eyes went from a pure chocolate brown color to a deep, dark brown lustful color as he stared me down in the car.
”I was under the impression that you’re the kind of guy that just takes what he wants.” I spoke with a flirtatious, low voice. I like my men dominant, maybe that’s why I’m such a sucker for guys with dark hair and dark eyes.
”Alright, stop the car.” Shawn cooed as he looked at me with serious eyes.
”What?” I snorted out a laughter, we were in the middle of a dimly lit street in front of what looked like a warehouse.
”You heard me, stop the fucking car.” Shawn repeated himself, this time it wasn’t a request but more so an order.
”Fine.” The tires screeched as I stomped down with both feet on the break. I shifted the gear into neutral and turned the car off as I looked over at Shawn with my eyebrows arched. ”Happy?”
”Get out.” Shawn instructed me with a firm tone and I could feel my insides tingle as he stared me down with his dark lustful eyes.
”Yessss Sirrr.” I purred sarcastically as I reached for the door handle and exited the car. Shawn slammed his door shut as he met me in front of the car.
The sun had finally set outside and the only thing illuminating the street was the warm street light. The sudden change in Shawn’s demeanor indicated that he understood exactly what I wanted and he was willing to give it to me. I more than happily leaned forward as Shawn grabbed me and pulled me up against his body. His warmed mouth came clashing down against mine as we stood underneath the dimmed street light.
His mouth tasted sweet like sugar and I was instantly swept off my feet. He kissed me hard, his lips rubbing tenderly against mine as he continued to devour my mouth. Our tongues danced together in union as we tasted each other and explored each other’s mouths.
I let out a soft moan as I felt his tongue brush against mine, mixing our saliva together before sliding over my bottom lip and leaving me empty handed.
”Damn-” I whispered breathlessly as I stared up into Shawn’s wild eyes. The soft grin gracing his lips widened as I stared back at him in disbelief.
I couldn’t say anything else before Shawn grabbed me by my hips, his large palms brushing against my exposed skin as he pushed me back against the hood of his car. I let out a soft moan as he attached his lips to mine again. He kissed me hard as he trapped me between the hood of the car and his large body.
I ran my fingers over his white T-shirt as he continued to skillfully manipulate me with his tongue. It was hot outside and he was still wearing a leather jacket to my dismay. I brushed my hands over his shoulders, forcing my palms under the leather fabric to push his jacket off of him. Shawn let his jacket fall to the pavement as he was completely consumed by my mouth, his warm tongue exploring every inch of my mouth.
I continued to run my hands over his body, feeling every inched of his clothed torso before shifting my attention to his now exposed arms. My eyes quickly glanced at his lightly tanned skin and the black ink on his arms before closing themselves again. I was instinctively leaning into the kiss and my mouth acted on its own as my hands continued to explore every inch of his body. His skin felt warm and soft against my fingertips as I raked them down his muscular arms.
”Do you want me?” I whispered as Shawn finally broke away from the kiss. He nodded eagerly before he tried to contain his excitement. There was no point in hiding it, I could already see it in his eyes - and his pants.
”Yeah…” Shawn breathed out heavily as he looked down at me. My hand shifted from his wrist towards his lower stomach as I continued to trail my fingers down over the bulge in his pants. I rubbed the palm of my hand over the large bulge in his pants. I could feel the outline of his cock through the Demin fabric and from what I could tell, he was definitely above average.
My eyes focused on Shawn’s face as I continued to palm him through his jeans. His eyes widened as I added more pressure to the palm of my hand. He let out a soft groan as he watched me lick my lips in anticipation.
Shawn quickly closed the gap between us, his mouth hungrily devoured me as I continued to rub my hand against his hard cock. I closed my eyes as I leaned into the kiss, his tongue swirling against mine as I continued to caress him. Shawn let out another soft groan as I increased the pressure against his cock, I could feel him get harder as I continued to stroke him through his pants.
”Mmm, do you want my pussy?” I moaned softly into his mouth as I opened my eyes to scan his face.
His dark brown eyes stared straight into my soul, his cheeks were flustered and his lips slightly swollen from rubbing against my mouth hard.
”Yes, fuck.” Shawn let out a low grunt as I continued to stroke his cock.
”You’re gonna have to take it baby.” I whispered encouragingly. I wasn’t sure if he needed the confidence, he seemed to already have enough confidence and I’m sure I wasn’t the first person who’d wanna fuck him.
”Oh baby, I will.” Shawn grinned as he smashed his lips against mine again. He kissed me with his open mouth, his tongue now familiar with the taste of my mouth and the feeling of our tongues brushing together.
He kept his hands on my hips as he lifted me slightly onto the hood of the car before hovering me. He pressed his large, heavy body against mine, trapping me against the large car. I continued to rub my hand over his bulge to show him just how much I wanted his cock and how desperate I was to have him inside me.
”Better get to it before I change my mind.” I whispered teasingly against Shawn’s lips. I let out a soft gasp as Shawn’s hands trailed over my chest. He squeezed my breasts through the fabric of my crop top before sliding his palms down the side of my body towards the curves of my hips.
A soft grin spread across Shawn’s lips as he leaned in to kiss my neck. His warm mouth felt like heaven against my sensitive skin. I was purring like a kitten on the hood of his car as his wet tongue pressed against my warm skin. His hands reached over to unbutton my jean shorts. His long fingers slowly unbuttoning each button in a teaching manner.
I let out a moan in frustration as he sucked on my skin. His warm mouth trailed up and down every inch of my neck before returning to my mouth. His brown eyes looked deeply into mine as he passionately kissed me. His hands tugged my jean shorts down and I was left in my panties. I spread my legs slightly as his large hand trailed over the laced fabric of my panties. I let out a quiet moans as I felt his large fingertips tap against my entrance. I was already wet and needy for him and we’re barely even getting started.
My eyes widened as I felt his hand slide down over my exposed stomach, he pushed the thin laced fabric aside as he buried his hand between my legs. I swallowed hard as I laid on top of the hood of the car. Shawn’s fingers trailed over the soft, glistening skin beneath my panties and I inhaled sharply as I felt his fingertip press against my wet hole.
I bucked my hips against his hand, needy for his touch as he barely brushed over my entrance while I continued to rub his cock through his pants.
”You’re so wet already.” Shawn exclaimed as a smug grin crossed his lips. He sounded a little surprised but I wasn’t the least bit surprised, he was hot as fuck and I could just feel how hard his cock was through the fabric of his pants.
”Yeah…” I gasped as I felt his long fingers slide up my wet slit, exploring every inch of my soft and sensitive skin with his fingertips.
”Bet you’ll feel so fucking good around my cock.” Shawn murmured into my ear as he continued to hover me on the car, the only thing between us was his slow moving hand.
”Mhmmm.” I moaned as I felt his fingers press lightly against my clit. It was like his fingers tapped an invisible button that made my insides completely explode. I could feel the sharp tingles inside my body as he pressed two fingers against my clit and rubbed it slowly in circles. ”Yesss.” I gasped as he swirled his fingers over my clit. I could already feel my pussy pulse and clench in anticipation and he wasn’t even inside me yet.
Shawn stared at me intensely as he watched me enjoy his soft touch. He continued to swirl my clit around in circles, adding more and more pressure to my clit every now and then as I laid on the hood of his car, gasping and moaning already desperate for a release.
”Don’t stop.” I whimpered as I pressed my hand against his hard cock, a little too distracted by his touch to be able to continue my own teasing. My eyes shifted between Shawn and the moonlit sky above me. It was a beautiful night outside and inside my body there was chaos. ”Fuck!” I bit my bottom lip as I furrowed my eyebrows. My eyes refusing to look away from Shawn as he skillfully manipulated my body. ”Oh fuck, it feels so good.” I swallowed hard as I sucked on my own bottom lip, my voice desperate and pleading as Shawn continued to rub my clit even harder.
”Are you gonna come for me baby?” Shawn groaned, his voice low and seductive as he stared at me with glistening, brown eyes.
”Mmm yes.” I moaned as I curled my toes against my heeled sandals. My mouth stayed open as one moan after another continued to escape my mouth. I was completely consumed by his touch and it was like a fire was going off inside my body and there was nothing I could do to stop it. ”Oh my God.” I breathed out heavily as I reached for his lower arm, desperate to hold onto something as I laid on the bare hood of the car.
”Can’t wait to bury my cock inside you.” Shawn dirty talked as his eyes focused on me. He rubbed harder, his fingers now pressing with force against my sensitive clit. I fought to keep my legs spread properly, my thighs were already aching and my stomach was clenching hard in anticipation.
It felt like I was swooning off the car as I bucked my hips against his touch. I couldn’t control myself any longer, I was so close to my orgasm and so desperate to come at this point.
”Are you gonna take all of my cock like a good girl?” Shawn continued to whisper into my ear, his heavy breathing tickling my ear lobe as his heavy body hovered me on the car.
”Yes, fuck yes.” I mewled like a desperate hoe. What can I say dirty talk and dominant men makes me weak.
”Think you’ll be able to handle it Gina?” Shawn whispered teasingly as he playfully licked my earlobe.
”Mmmm yes.” I moaned as I felt his entire palm press against my clit and rub over my pussy. I was soaking wet and I could tell that Shawn could feel it too. My pussy was dripping for him and the dirty talk made me a messy puddle. ”I can handle it.” I purred sweetly as I felt his mouth press a light kiss against my tragus.
”Are you sure?” Shawn teased me, a smug grin spread across his lips as he felt my hips grind against the touch of his hand, desperate for a release.
”Give it to me and I’ll prove it.” I whispered challengingly as I looked into Shawn’s lustful eyes.
”How badly do you want it baby?” Shawn asked as he used his free hand to undo his zipper. I still hand my palm on top of his cock but I was too distracted by Shawn’s touch to do anything in return.
”So, so badly.” I emphasized the O’s with loud desperate moans. My lips turned into a soft pout as I looked up at Shawn through my innocent black lashes.
”Tell me what you want…” Shawn continued to taunt me as he looked down at me, my innocent gaze turning him on even more.
”I want your cock baby, fuck. I’m so fucking wet, I need to feel your cock inside me.” I begged sweetly as I looked up at Shawn, my doe eyes twinkling in excitement as I batted my innocent lashes at him multiple times.
”Fuck-” Shawn choked out as he looked down at my pouting lips. He wasn’t the only one that could dirty talk, I was more than willing to match his energy.
”Please baby.” I purred pleadingly. I was so close to the edge and I wasn’t sure if I was begging for a release or begging for his cock or begging for both. ”I’m so fucking close.” I whined as I felt his fingers rub my clit harder and harder. He didn’t stop as I bucked my hips higher and higher. I felt the intense sharp tingles take over my body as my pussy began to pulse in anticipation. ”Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck.” I moaned over and over again as he furiously rubbed at my clit, determined to make me come. ”Fuck, I’m coming.” I announced loudly. I probably didn’t have to announce it because I’m pretty sure you could tell by my scrunched up face and the way my body desperately swooned off the surface of the car but whatever.
I came hard, it was like my pussy got its own heartbeat for a second. I could feel the walls inside me contract as my muscles clenched hard. My orgasm ripped through my entire body making me writhe against Shawn’s touch and the hood of his car.
”Mmm.” I moaned as I felt the waves of pleasure consume me. My mind was completely lost and for a second it was like my soul had left my body. ”Fuck, that was good.” I breathed out heavily. ”I haven’t come that hard in a while.” I admitted with a soft, cheeky grin as I looked up at Shawn.
”That was just the warm up.” Shawn grinned as he looked at me with lustful eyes.
He hooked his fingers between my panties and pulled them down as I laid completely spent on top of his car. Shawn began to strip as he stood in front of the car, he pulled his white T-shirt over his head and dropped both his jeans and boxers to the ground. My eyes trailed over his perfectly sculpted body, his shoulders were broad, his chest toned and his abs and V-line perfectly cut out. I was almost too distracted by his muscular body to notice the hard cock between his thick thighs. It was definitely above average and I could feel my pussy clench just at the sight of it.
The tip of his cock was already glowing from the pre-come coating it. It was like God couldn’t choose between thickness and length so Shawn’s cock was blessed with both and I wasn’t complaining.
”Fuck.” I whispered to myself as I stared at the gorgeous man in front of me. I breathed in and out heavily, causing my chest to rise and fall as I let my eyes trail up the large cock.
”You look surprised?” Shawn hummed teasingly, repeating my question from earlier as he flashed me a cocky grin.
”I am.” I moaned softly unable to tear my gaze away from the hard cock between his legs. Damn, I couldn’t even anticipate this even though I’d felt him through his pants. ”It’s so big.” I mouthed quietly as I looked at the light pink skin on the tip of his cock, all I wanted was to feel his soft skin against my tongue.
”I’m just gonna get a condom.” Shawn reminded himself as he walked over towards the passenger seat, he probably kept a stack of them in the glove compartment.
”Fuck condoms, I need to feel all of you inside me.” I groaned as I looked at him pleadingly. ”I swear I’m clean.” I’d gotten tested three weeks ago and everything was fine.
”Are you sure?” Shawn asked as he looked at me skeptically, his body already making its way back to me while is mind continued to hesitate.
”Do I look like I’m unsure?” I arched my eyebrows at him. ”If you’re clean we’re good.” I pointed out.
”Alright then.” Shawn grinned as he returned to his initial position in front of me.
”Good, because I really need to feel all of that inside me.” I emphasized the word ”that” as my eyes widened at the sight of his large cock. ”Bet it’s gonna feel so fucking good.” I moaned as I spread my legs for Shawn.
He hovered me on the hood of the car and I let out a soft groan as I felt his warm body press against mine. I could feel his cock grind against my pussy as Shawn pressed his weight against me. I moaned eagerly as I felt him slide his cock between my slit, coating his soft skin with my juices.
”Fuck, just put it in me.” I mewled desperately as I looked up into Shawn’s dark brown eyes. ”I need to feel your cock inside me.” I whispered pleadingly as I caressed his body with my soft hands, feeling every inch of his skin beneath my small fingertips.
Shawn winked at me as he reached down to adjust his cock against my entrance. I let out a soft gasp as I felt his soft tip against my wet entrance. He slid into me slowly inch by inch as I laid on top of his car.
”Oh my God.” I gasped as I felt his entire length inside me. My pussy clenched around his thick shaft as he buried himself inside me. I was dripping wet and his cock was already soaked in my juices.
”God, your pussy feels so good.” Shawn groaned against my ear as he stayed buried inside me. I could feel my body slowly adjust to his large size as Shawn moved slowly inside me. Thank God we didn’t use a condom, holy fuck, his cock felt so fucking good I’m pretty sure a condom would ruin it. ”You’re so fucking tight.” Shawn growled as he grinding into me, missionary style. His heavy weight rested against my body as he grinded deep into my pussy, his butt clenching and his head buried against my ear as he humped me hard.
”Holy fuck, it’s so fucking deep.” I moaned as I felt the tip of his cock hit my G-spot. I don’t know anything about biology but I’m pretty sure he could literally break me or my cervix at this point.
”Shit, you feel so fucking good Gina.” Shawn groaned into my ear as he started to slide in and out of me with long, hard strokes.
I felt his cock slide through my tight walls and my body was instantly filled with pure desire. I forced myself to keep my legs spread, allowing Shawn to bury his cock even deeper inside me with every stroke. He picked up his pace as he shifted his weight onto his elbows as he hovered me. I watched as his muscles contracted while he thrusted deep into me.
”Just like that baby.” I moaned encouragingly into Shawn’s ear as I ran my fingers through his hair, my hips swirling around his cock as he continued to push into me with long, hard thrusts in a slow grinding motion. ”Your cock feels so fucking good!” I moaned as I continued to trail my hands over the nape of his neck, down his shoulders and along his contracting biceps.
”You’re so fucking wet!” Shawn exclaimed as he unintentionally slid out of me. I let out a displeased moan as his cock left my hole empty. Shawn stood up properly and grabbed me by my legs, pulling me off the hood of the car. He motioned for me to stand up as I slid down the curved hood of the car.
I let out a soft giggle as Shawn eagerly grabbed me and turned me around, bending me over the hood of his car. I let out a soft moan as he squeezed my ass and kneaded my cheeks before separating them to push his thick cock into me from behind.
I let out a loud moan as I felt him enter me all over again, this time I was a little more used to his size and my pussy was more than ready for him to fuck me hard. ”Who made you this wet baby?” Shawn growled into my ear as he hovered me from behind. I could feel his warm chest press against my back as he whispered the dirty words into my ear. His cock grinding slowly into me like before.
”Fucking hell.” I moaned as I felt the tip of his cock deep inside me. ”You did!” I whined as I pressed the palm of my hands against the matte painted hood of his car.
”Did I?” Shawn sing-sang teasingly as he slowly grinded his cock into my pussy.
”Yes, you did.” I purred like a kitten as he filled me up.
”You’re so fucking hot.” Shawn moaned against my ear before standing up properly. His cock thrusted into me with long strokes, his speed increased a faster grinding motion as he pumped into my tight hole. I stood bent over with my feet steady on the ground and my heels still on. ”Look at your tight little pussy, taking me so good.” Shawn groaned as he kept one hand on my hip and the other on my lower back as he pushed into me.
His cock moved all the way back to his tip before he pushed back into me. The long strokes were great for build up but I was already frustrated and aching for an orgasm. ”Mmm, fuck me harder.” I pleaded softly as I pushed back onto Shawn’s thick length.
The desire was consuming me and my entire body. I couldn’t stop even if my life depended on it. His thick cock felt so good and I was completely consumed by his entire body and his overwhelming presence. ”Your thick cock fills me up so good.” I moaned as I pushed my hips back, adding force to our grinding movements.
”Fuck, your ass looks so perfect.” Shawn moaned as he squeezed my butt. I let out a soft whimper as he squeezed my ass cheek hard before smacking it in a playful manner. ”I love watching you push back on my cock.” Shawn groaned as he stopped for a second, watching me do all the work as I thrusted back onto his cock. I let out a series of moans as I worked my ass onto his cock, pushing back hard with every stroke. My breasts were almost spilling out of my tight crop top as I kept my elbows on Shawn’s car for support.
My pussy swallowed his entire cock with ease and Shawn continued to watch as I fucked myself on his cock. ”Fuck!” I cussed to myself as I pushed back hard. Our hips colliding with force as I bent over Shawn’s car. He kept his hands firmly on my hips for guidance as I slid onto his cock.
”Keep going!” Shawn moaned encouragingly as I kept thrusting back onto his length. My knees felt weak at this point, the feeling of his thick cock inside me was overwhelming to me and I could feel every muscle inside my body ache for a release as I unintentionally tensed up where I stood. ”Such a good girl, taking me so deep baby.” Shawn groaned as he grabbed onto my hips to help me slide back onto him.
He squeezed me hard as he began to meet my thrusts, his hips slammed against mine with force as he pounded into me. The sound of our bodies colliding echoed through the moonlit night as we stood in the middle of the street, bare and sweaty while fucking each other raw. I had never been fucked like this before, it felt so good that I almost got scared I would never feel this way again. Maybe this is the best sex I’ll ever have, I might as well enjoy all of it then.
”Fuck yes, you fuck me so good!” I moaned at the top of my lungs as Shawn thrusted into me from behind. His hands squeezed me tightly as he guided me back onto his cock. The two of us worked in union as I stood bent over with my hands on the hood of his car and he stood behind me. He was pounding into me at a slight angle from below, making me purr like a kitten with every thrust as he hit the perfect spot. ”You fuck my pussy so good baby, holy fucking shit.” I moaned as I felt him drill into me hard, his thick thighs slammed against the back of my thighs as he buried his cock deep inside me. ”Making me feel so fucking good…” I chimed encouragingly as I let my palms slide up the hood of his car as he forcefully pushed into me.
”You’re so hot-” Shawn choked out as he thrusted into me. ”And your tight pussy feels so good wrapped around my hard cock. You look so fucking hot, bent over while taking all of me.” Shawn praised me in return.
”Mmm yes.” I whimpered as I felt myself stand up on my tippy toes in anticipation. He pounded into me with force as one of his hands reached over to rub my clit, making me swoon off the ground as the sharp tingles coursed through my body.
”Are you gonna come on my cock?” Shawn growled as he felt my walls clench around him.
”Yes, God yes.” I moaned as I felt his cock force my walls apart. They once again had their own heartbeat as he manipulated my sensitive skin. ”I’m so fucking wet for you.” I whined as I felt his fingers flicker across my clit, making me go wild.
”I know baby.” Shawn cooed sweetly. ”You’re so good for me baby, taking me so deep inside your tight pussy.” Shawn continued to praise me as he swirled his fingers across my clit, rubbing me hard with every thrust as he slammed into me, making my entire body wiggle against the hood of the car. ”I’m so fucking hard for you baby, my cock’s literally throbbing.”
I’m a sucker for anyone who calls me a good girl and tells me how good I am, that is literally my weakness.
”I’m gonna come.” I whimpered as I felt my tight walls clench around Shawn’s thick shaft. I couldn’t hold back any longer, his fingers on my clit was too much for me and I couldn’t fight the orgasm back any longer. The waves consumed me, making my legs shake as Shawn pulled me back against him as he filled me up completely.
He stayed still inside me as I came hard around him, my walls literally pulsing around his sensitive skin as he pulled me back as hard as he could against his body. ”Ohhhh fuck.” I whimpered, my thighs were aching and my legs almost shaking as he held me in his arms. My body writhed in his tight grip as I came undone hard around him, his heavy breath teasing me as he breathed into my ear.
Suddenly my orgasm was interrupted by a loud noise. I let out a soft groan as Shawn reached down for his jeans and I was left empty handed way too soon.
”What?” Shawn yelled into the phone as he answered.
”Where the fuck did you go? We’re waiting!” I heard Shawn’s friend coo through the phone and I let out a giggle as I looked back at him, his face flustered, his skin glistening and his forehead sweaty as he stood bent over with his jeans still in his hands as he spoke into the phone.
”Fuck, I’m coming, two minutes tops.” Shawn promised his friend as he ended the call.
”Two minutes?” I pouted as I looked over at him with a playful grin.
”We might have to cut this short.” Shawn groaned as he ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. He seemed just as disappointed by this as I was.
”But you didn’t even get to come.” I pouted in disappointment as I watched Shawn grab his clothes off the ground.
”Dosen’t mean I didn’t enjoy it.” He grinned as he began to get dressed against his will.
”Can’t they wait a little longer?” I pleaded with a soft, cheeky pout.
”Connor’s already pissed.” Shawn groaned as he pulled half of his t-shirt over his head before opening the door to his car.
”Fine.” I pouted as I pulled my panties back on and swiftly buttoned up my short. I got into the car and Shawn quickly started it back up. I felt a soft tingle rush through my body as the engine roared and the car was brought back to life.
I glanced towards Shawn’s lap and quickly noticed that his zipper was still undone. I leaned over in the car seat and before Shawn could object, my hand was placed firmly on his crotch. He was driving just as fast as before, but as soon as he realized what I was about to do, he swerved around and took a little detour.
I let out a soft moan as I managed to pull the large cock out of the little opening in his boxers. His skin was still warm and he was still covered in my juices. I slowly leaned over to lick at the tip of his cock as I looked up at Shawn through my lashes.
”You sure you wanna do this right now?” Shawn asked as he reached over the shift gears. I let out another soft moan in response as I wrapped my lips around the tip of his cock. I kissed it slowly and swirled my tongue over it in a teasing manner.
”Yeah…” I whispered as I playfully wiggled my tongue over his cock. ”I wanna know what your come tastes like.” I whispered as I slowly inched my mouth down onto his thick length. I could taste myself on his soft skin and I didn’t mind. I tasted good.
Shawn slowed down as he swerved around another block, taking another detour to prolong our cozy little roadtrip. His eyes looked down at me as I kneeled over the seats and took him into my mouth. I had to open wide to fit his thick shaft inside me. My jaw was almost aching as I forced my mouth to slide as far down his length as I could.
My mouth filled with saliva as my tongue slid across his soft skin. His entire cock didn’t fit into my mouth and I had to use my hand to compensate down at the base. Since Shawn’s friends were so eager for us to come back I wasted no time, instead I started to swiftly bob my head up and down as he pressed the gas. His legs shifted beneath me as he pressed the clutch down before quickly releasing it. His right hand reached for the stick to shift gears as he kept his left hand on the wheel. Between gears, he made sure to pull my hair away from my face with his right hand as I slid his cock into my mouth.
”Oh fuck baby, your mouth feels so good.” Shawn groaned as he gripped the back of my head and guided me down onto his length. I let out a moan as I felt him grab a fistful of my draping hair and tugged at the roots.
I worked hard, my mouth and hand moving in union as saliva dribbled down his thick cock. I was such a hoe for his cock and I had no shame as I stood on my knees in the passenger seat of his car.
Shawn let out several deep growls as I continued to take him into my mouth. I was a sloppy cock sucker and I loved to make a mess whenever I sucked cock, but I had to restrain myself since he was wearing light washed jeans and there was a risk that my little mess would leave stains.
”Good girl.” Shawn growled as I tried to inch my mouth down as far as I could, almost gagging around his cock before I pulled back to wipe my wet lips off. I could feel myself get wet all over again as I looked down at his saliva covered cock. It was so big and juicy and my pussy was aching to have him inside me again, but there wasn’t enough time so this would have to do.
”Fuck, I love sucking cock.” I groaned as I slid my mouth back down onto his shaft, almost taking all of him in one go before pulling back.
”And you’re damn good at it.” Shawn murmured as he fisted my hair with his free hand before turning another corner. His eyes kept shifting between my bobbing head and the road ahead of him as I continued to suck him off with wet lips and hollowed cheeks. ”And you’ve got such a pretty mouth.” Shawn grinned as he gently caressed my cheek before reaching for the stick to shift gears again.
”Mhmmm.” I hummed around his cock.
”I love watching that pretty little mouth take my cock.” Shawn moaned as he slowed down so that he could watch me while I sucked him off. My hand squeezed around the base of his cock as I continued to bob my head up and down, sucking and swallowing as saliva kept dribbling down my lips. ”You look so fucking hot with my cock in your mouth Gina.” Shawn praised me as he reached back to caress my face.
”Mmm, your cock tastes so good.” I hummed, sending vibrations against his sensitive skin. ”I bet your come tastes even better.” I moaned as I felt Shawn reach over and caress my back. ”Can’t wait to taste it.”
”Fuck, I’m so close baby.” Shawn growled as he leaned over to squeeze my butt through my jean shorts.
”Mmm yeah? I wanna taste you so badly, give it to me baby.” I moaned as I continued to suck him off, my tongue swirling teasingly over the tip of his cock before I sunk back down onto him.
”Don’t stop.” Shawn choked out through gritted teeth as he looked down at me, his gaze still occasionally shifting towards the road to make sure we wouldn’t crash into anything.
”I want you to fill my mouth with your come baby.” I continued to moan encouragingly as I looked up at Shawn through my black innocent lashes.
”Ohhh fuck.” Shawn groaned as he twitched inside my mouth. I quickly pulled back, allowing him to squirt his come all over my tongue as I lapped against the tip of his cock like an eager kitten.
”Mmmmm.” I hummed in satisfaction as I felt his warm come hit my tongue. I savored the salty taste of it as I waited for him to empty his entire load in my mouth. I kept swirling my tongue around his cock, mixing his warm come with my own saliva as I refused to swallow before he’d given me every last drop.
I sat back up in my seat with my mouth filled with come. My tongue playfully swirled in my mouth as I looked over at Shawn. He looked at me with lustful eyes as the car came to a stop right where we’d started the race an hour ago. Shawn quickly tucked his cock away as his friends were about to approach our car and I let out a soft moan as I continued to savor the taste of his come. Shawn watched me with intense eyes as I swallowed hard right before his friends came up to the car.
”Where the fuck have you been? We’ve been waiting for like twenty minutes.” His friends cooed as they all looked at him questioningly.
”We went to 7/11.” Shawn lied with a shrug and I let out a giggle as I looked down at his still unzipped jeans.
”Yeah right…” His friends rolled their eyes at Shawn as they too noticed the unzipped pants he was wearing.

First Steps

Shawn Mendes x female reader
Warning: fluff, maybe grammar error and maybe some punctuation errors
“Alright little Raul, let’s get something to eat.” You say as you begin to pick up your 9-month-old son and puts him into his high chair.
Raul is officially nine months old today and in your eyes he is still your little bundle of joy. Now at this age he is curious about everything and keeps wanting to crawl all around the house.
“Oh Raul no!” You say while chuckling and trying to stop him from slamming his hand on the banana slices. In response he just giggles and squishes the banana with his tiny hands into a puree.
As Shawn opens the door and slides off his shoes. He can hear his son giggling in the kitchen and You trying to calm him down.
As he made his way to the kitchen the first thing he sees is Raul throwing a banana at his wife’s face. And now he was just trying his best to cover his laugh while you shoot him a glare and gets up to remove the mess from your face.
Shawn walks to his son and leans down to him. “You can’t throw your food at your mommy’s face Raul. We don’t do that little one.” he says seriously, but can’t help but look at his son adoringly. Raul just giggles again and Shawn swear it’s the purest sound he ever heard.
Raul begin clapping his hands, which are full of smashed bananas. “Cutie.” Shawn sighs and pats his cheeks. “How can someone make such a mess with a single banana?” he asks and turns over to you who’s currently drying your face with a towel.
While drying your face you could feel Shawn begin to wrap his arms around your waist. “How was work, baby?” You say as you turned around and hug him tightly while rubbing his back slowly.
In response Shawn just buries his head into your chest and starts to mumble his answer. “It was actually good. We got a couple more songs to record but according to our schedule we are right on track.” Shawn says as he looks up to you and smiles happily.
You begin playing with his hair and nods with a smile. “That’s great Shawnie.” You responded encouragingly because you know he feels awful for not being able to help you with Raul most of the time.
Shawn begin to stand fully on his feet and gives you a kiss. “I missed you.” He whispers and lean down to kiss you again.
You just chuckle at his words and plants a kiss on his forehead. Shawn had been away for only a few hours and every time he went out of the house he would homesick and you knew part of it was due to the new addition to the family. “I missed you too.” You replied with a smile.
As Shawn lets go of you, he decided to walk over to his son and He leans down to say. “And I missed you sweetie! Did you miss your daddy too?”
“Dada!” He says with a giggle that just melt both of your hearts.
After cleaning the kitchen both of you decide to go to the nursery to change Raul as he was literally covered in food.
As you watch Shawn clean his baby up and dressing him again. He manage to tickles his son which makes the toddler kick and laugh hysterically.
Seeing this just made your heart warm, you could spend hours just watching the two people who mean everything to you. Shawn was also talking in a silly voice with Raul and he occasionally would tap on the little one’s nose and it is the best feeling in the world to be able to witness how Shawn’s eyes would be shining brightly whenever he hear his son’s giggles.
Once he was clean Shawn picks him up again and sits down on the sofa with him.
“Do you think he’s so ticklish because you’re very ticklish?” Shawn asks laughing and you slapped him playfully on his arm.
“I love you.” Shawn said
“I love you too baby.”
Meanwhile Raul randomly decides to climb down from the sofa and crawls outside into the entrance. “Where is he going now?” You groan tiredly and moves to get up.
“I’m gonna go and get him.” Shawn says and stands up while you begin to close your eyes when suddenly Shawn gasps and calls out for you. “Oh my god Y/N!”
Immediately your eyes shoot open as you could feel the panic begin to rise. “What’s wrong?” You shouted and gets up quickly, and starts walking into the entrance where Shawn is standing.
Shawn turns towards you and his eyes are brimmed with tears of joy. “He’s walking.” he whispers happily and looks back at Raul.
As Shawn crunches down and reaches his arms out to Raul who is walking slowly on his tiny feet. He stumbles a bit, but somehow he could take a few steps without holding himself up against something.
“Come to daddy, Raul. Come here.” Shawn encourages his son and smiles happily.
Eventually Raul makes his way into Shawn’s arms and the little guy is immediately embraced with a tight hug and many kisses. “He can walk!” Shawn cheers and looks up to his toddler proudly.
While you sit down next to them on the floor and said. “I love you two so much!” with tears in your eyes and kisses Shawn softly.

Before Now - chapter 12
previous chapters
Warnings: descriptions of anxiety
12.
The next morning, I wake up feeling exhausted. Shawn has a full day of press scheduled, and I’m supposed to follow him around all day to film some behind the scenes and fan interactions. I’m still really practicing my filming and editing skills, so a lot of what I do doesn’t get released, but I’m just glad to be doing it. I head down to the coffee shop in the lobby before its time to meet up with the rest of the team to head over to the studio. I get a large latte with an extra shot of espresso because I know I won’t make it through the day without a lot of help after the night I had. Generally, I try to avoid caffeine, but today, I just know I need it. I’m supposed to be filming all day, and Shawn has a show tonight, so there’s no way I’ll make through the entire day and night without some help.
When we arrive at the studio, I get out of the van first because I’m seated closest to the door. There are crowds of girls and paparazzi outside of the building. Luckily there is a whole security team already there to manage the crowd, and Jake is with us. I focus on holding tight to my camera, directing all of my attention and effort into holding it steady, on getting the shot in order to block out the noise of the crowd that immediately increases tenfold when Shawn steps out of the van behind Jake.
I pour all of my energy into keeping my hands steady as the chaos causes my anxiety to spike. Once we’re inside, I drop my camera, letting it dangle from the strap around my neck. I feel disoriented. We’re immediately ushered into an elevator and the whole crew piles inside. I’m two steps into the elevator when I realize this might not be the best idea, but it’s too late because people are following me in and I can’t just turn around and walk back out without people questioning me, so I swallow hard and try to focus on something, anything that will get me to stop my mind from screaming, anything that will help me feel less trapped and surrounded and helpless.
A hand on my shoulder jerks me back to reality and I instinctively shy away from the physical contact. I look up, realizing the hand belongs to Josiah. He pulls his hand back, clearly noticing the way I moved away from him, and he asks, “Are you okay?”
I just nod, even though I’m not. When the elevator finally opens, I have to wait for the people in front of me to exit, and they seem to be taking their time. All I want to do is run, but I force that urge down and move along with the crowd, still trying to calm my racing heart and slow my breathing. I think I tell Josiah I need to use the restroom, but everything is a little foggy, so I’m not sure I get the words out. I don’t double-check with him or anyone before rushing off in a direction I’m just praying will have some privacy and space for me to calm down.
I finally locate the bathroom, not caring if I’m now lost in this building and I don’t even know where the interview is taking place. At this point, I can’t bring myself to care. I’ve fought these crowds several times now over the past three weeks, but I’ve never experienced it like this before. It’s never felt like this before.
I take my time in the bathroom, treasuring the sound of silence. I splash water on my face and force myself to take my breaths slow, trying to count and breathe like I remember hearing somewhere, but it’s not working. I finally compose myself enough to leave the bathroom, wandering off in search of everyone. Luckily this office space has large glass windows, allowing me to just glance as I’m walking by each room. When I finally find people I recognize, I linger outside the door because it looks like they’re finishing up. I must have been gone for longer than I realized.
I don’t want to interrupt, so I wait until they all start leaving and follow along, hoping no one noticed that I didn’t get any footage. Josiah falls into step next to me as we head back out. “You okay?” He asks the same question he asked earlier in the elevator.
“Yeah,” I say, brushing him just like I did earlier. When he stares at me with a look that says he doesn’t believe me, I add, “I don’t know what happened.”
“We all get overwhelmed sometimes with the crowds. It's normal.” He reassures me, and I try to believe him. I want to believe him. I’m more prepared this time as we make our way out of the building and through the crowd again. I only film a small section before I step outside. Once I’m out in the crowd I’m not focused on filming Shawn, I’m focused on getting myself to the car as quickly as possible. That helps a little bit, and I don’t feel as bad as I did when I walked into the building. I console myself with that fact as I climb into the very back seat. The van is big enough that no one needed to sit in the very back on the ride over, so luckily everyone else files into the seats in front of me, and they’re all too busy with their own conversations to even glance back at me. That’s for the better since I’m still freaking out inside.
When we get to the venue, there’s a little time to eat, and then Shawn has his meet and greet and Q&A session, then he’s going straight into warm ups. For every show so far, I’ve been a big part of the afternoon routine. I’m always busy scoping out the venue during the meet and greet, trying to figure out where I want to be for the show and what shots I want to take. I’ve also been helping to set up the Q&A room, making sure there will be enough space for everyone and setting up some things to keep it from being just a plain boring room. That’s not really part of my job description, but I’ve liked finding other ways to help out and learn about tour beyond just the photography, even though there is more than enough to keep me busy with photography alone.
Upon arriving, everyone files straight into the venue, but I decide to go onto the bus instead because I am still feeling anxious, way more than normal and I’ve been unable to shake these feelings. I know I have a lot to do, but I find myself climbing into my bunk and trying to get my thoughts to stop racing so my breathing can return to normal.
After giving myself around thirty minutes alone in my bunk, I force myself out and off the bus. Everyone will probably be finished eating now, and I really need to get started on setting up the Q&A room. Every step takes energy and determination just to force myself inside and push through these feelings of anxiety.
When I get inside, I set up the Q&A room quickly while Shawn is doing his meet and greet. I’m rushing around, trying to make sure that everything is okay with the room, and I manage to keep busy enough that I think I might be feeling a little better.
The Q&A has become one of my favorite things about tour. I always sit in the back, but I love watching the girls squirm and squeal in excitement as they wait for Shawn to enter the room. I also love watching the interaction between Shawn and his fans. There’s something special about it, even though I can’t explain it.
When the room fills up, I’m unexpectedly hit again by those feelings of anxiety that I can’t explain. I stay in the back of the room, my camera hanging from the strap around my neck as I try to get myself to focus on the task at hand. After sitting at the back of the room for a while, I realize that I can’t even remember a single question a person asked, and I have no idea what kind of footage I got or if I got any at all.
I push my way out of the room before the Q&A ends because I can’t stand the thought of having to be present in the chaos as everyone tries to leave the room.
I find myself alone in a bathroom struggling to breathe for the second time today. I don’t know what’s wrong with me and maybe that’s what makes it all worse. I stay there for well over thirty minutes, and I realize that the openers are about to go on, which means the arena is already around half full and I haven’t even walked out to the front to see where I’ll want to be later. That thought stresses me out, and I take a few more minutes before exiting the bathroom.
I start walking down the hall, not exactly sure where I want to go right now since my thoughts are so scattered. Andrew sees me in the hall and he says, “Hey, Skylar, Shawn was looking for you. He wanted to talk to you. He’s in his dressing room.”
I tell him that I’ll go there now, and my thoughts start racing even faster, which I didn’t think was even possible. Shawn probably realized that I’ve barely filmed today and he’s looking for me to tell me that I’ve been slacking, and I really need to get it together. All things I know, but I’m not looking forward to him telling me that.
I find Shawn’s dressing room easily and knock lightly. I still always knock because I’m not comfortable with just entering despite how many times they told me to just go in. Dave opens the door, “Hey Skylar, come on in.” He says with a smile.
I can see Shawn seated on the couch playing guitar. He looks up when he hears my name. Putting the guitar down, he walks over to the door where I’m standing. “Hey, you wanted to talk to me?” I question, and he nods. My heart is still beating in a way that’s become familiar to me today.
“Yeah, let’s talk in the hall.”
At least he’s opting not to embarrass me in front of his whole band, I can be grateful for that at the very least. I follow him out into the hallway, my heart beating wildly in my chest. Once we’re outside, he studies me for a few seconds, not speaking right away, which only makes me nervous. Why is he staring at me like that? It makes me want to say something, but I don’t know what to say, so I stay silent.
When he finally speaks, a jolt of surprise runs through me because he says, “Are you okay?”
He was looking for me, and he brought me out into the hallway to ask me this?
“What?” I say impulsively before realizing there is no need for clarification. It’s a simple question, and I heard it loud and clear. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
He’s still staring at me, so I drop my eyes to the floor, still so confused. I’ll just apologize, that’s almost always the best option anyway. “I’m sorry I haven’t been filming much today. I’ll do better.” I say, still not making eye contact because I can still feel his stare on me, and I don’t like it. I don’t know what he’s thinking or what he wants right now.
“What?” Now he’s the one that sounds confused and I still don’t know what’s even going on. “No, that’s not what I wanted to talk to you about. You’ve just seemed…” He pauses, unsure of what to say next. “Distant today, so I wanted to check in with you.”
“I’m fine.” I insist quickly.
He’s still staring at me, and I want to tell him to stop. To stop caring and stop staring, but I don’t.
He doesn’t argue, and I know it doesn’t take a genius to realize that I’m lying, so I’m grateful he doesn’t call me out. He nods, “Okay,” He pauses, then says, “Well maybe you should take the night off. You’ve worked really hard this week.”
Part of me wants to argue, to tell him that I’m fine again and that he doesn’t need to go easy on me or anything like that just because of our history, whatever history that we have. But the larger part of me realizes that I don’t know if I’ll actually make it through the night if I work.
I’m about to agree with him when I remember my promise to myself, my promise that I’d work hard, and earn my place around here. I’m not here for charity. No one else is taking the night off, so why should I? I don’t want Shawn to keep me around as a favor to my mom and his mom. It isn’t about whether or not I feel like I can do this. The truth is, I have to.
“I’m fine, Shawn. You don’t have to worry about me.” It comes off colder than I intended, but I don’t apologize. “I can work tonight.”
He seems taken aback by my cold tone, and I don’t blame him. Finally, he nods, “Okay.”
“So, is that it?” I ask, suddenly wanting to be anywhere but here with him.
“Uh, yeah, I guess.” He responds running his fingers through his hair while watching me closer than I’d. I don’t say anything else. Instead, I just turn around and walk away.
I head back to double-check all of my equipment and try to distract myself from everything that has happened throughout the day. By the time the show is about to start, I still don’t feel much better, but I’m determined to film the show, just like I have every show so far this tour. Just like I’m paid to do.
I try to remind myself that everything is fine, that I’ve done this before and tonight is no different. But no matter how much I try to convince myself there’s nothing different about tonight, I know that I feel different. Everything feels a little bit off, and I can’t exactly put my finger on it, but I have a bad feeling about it.

Drunk or Sober (smut)
MASTERLIST
Word count: 3k.
You know this specific playlist is made with only one intention in mind. You have heard the songs too many times, though you still can’t remember the words to most.
Shawn will never admit it, but the only thing he uses this playlist for is getting drunk and getting it on.
Not that you complain, you never really complain when you hang around Shawn’s.
The familiar tunes fade into background noise as Shawn’s lips fold around the cigarette, his eyes flicker as they sink together and he takes another drag.
In public Shawn never smokes, you doubt Karen has the slightest idea and you know he’ll never get caught. He’s too clever.
You feel a slight tug in your stomach while you watch the way Shawn’s tongue darts around the edge of the cigarette in his mouth. His cheeks are getting flushed, but you hardly even notice, you’re too busy staring at his plump lips moving in ways that makes your toes curl.
He’s teasing you, playing games and working you up. You can tell easily from the smirk wandering his smug face.
There’s something about these steamy summer nights that makes you a tad insane.
You’re both laying in his couch, legs entangled to each other with a stunning view of the Toronto skyline as background. You’re sipping another glass of wine and your thoughts are already somewhat slurred.
You bumped into Shawn outside a club a few months ago and you have been coming around his place loads since.
Sneaking in late at night when the neighbors has gone to sleep and mostly sneaking out before the crack of dawn. You don’t get your hopes up with him, though.
You have heard all the rumors at least a hundred times and seen all the pictures multiple girls post on social media. Shawn gets around as much as he likes and you’re fully aware that you aren’t the one to change that.
You know it’s risky when you stumble into his apartment at two in the morning. At some point, your heart is going to fall in too deep and you’re the one who’s going to end up hurt. Not that you care much.
Being around Shawn, talking about deep shit you’ve never shared with anyone or getting drunk on a bottle of tequila with him, is the best cure when you’re stressed out.
There’s something about being in Shawn’s company that you can’t quite put your finger on. You relax when he’s around, he makes you feel less anxious and you like that. Not being at war with your mind every waken moment. With
Shawn, it’s easy. It’s always easy.
You tilt your head as you watch Shawn force his fingers through the dark curls, using two fingers to remove the cigarette from his lips to down his glass of wine completely.
His tongue slides between his pink lips and you feel a warmth in your stomach. Shawn’s slurred eyes fall on yours and you can’t help the smile that peaks on your face.
He returns immediately with a small but somehow warm grin, that cracks butterflies in your stomach within seconds.
Shawn shuts his eyes and nods his head to the rhythm of the song. He chews on his bottom lip while humming along almost silently. Most people get him wrong.
You can’t blame them, you did to begin with as well. People say he’s shallow and thinks too highly of himself. It’s not true, though.
Sure, he’s confident. But he’s confident in a way that makes him comfortable in his own skin. Shawn knows who he is and what he stands for and you find that extremely attractive.
He’s much deeper than people assume. You have never met someone who think as much as he does, feels as deeply as he does.
You are completely and utterly in awe when he talks about things that matter to him, but most people don’t see that side. Shawn won’t let them. He’s private and he doesn’t care what other’s think. You could learn from him and his attitude in life, you know that.
“Hey.” Shawn mumbles to catch your attention. “What are you thinking about?” He smiles softly when your eyes meet and then, he leans forward to put his empty glass on the table.
You shrug your shoulders in response as Shawn reach for your feet to drag you across the couch and closer to him.
You swallow a small giggle and then you crawl into his lip. He watches you carefully while you get comfortable on top of him.
Your knees are resting on each side of his thighs and you’re staring directly into his warm, brown eyes.
“Tell me.” He says again.
“Tell you what?”
“What you’re thinking about?”
You feel a heat raise to your cheeks while a small lump appears in your throat.
“You.” You stutter back, eyes darting across the room.
You aren’t quite sure why you’re feeling embarrassed, maybe because you have been staring long enough for him to notice, maybe because you suddenly feel emotionally naked by admitting.
You’re slightly unsteady from the way he’s mentally undressing you already. You know the look and it forms a wet pool between your thighs.
“Mmh, I see.” He whispers while leaning towards you. He attaches his warm lips to your jawline as chills rush down your spine. “We can play that game.”
“That’s not what I meant, Shawn.” You correct him with a laughter while his curious fingers wander your body and leaves burns behind.
You hold back a soft moan when his hands dig into your ass, a small smirk appearing on his heated face. His hair is messy and tots of curls are sticking to his forehead.
You aren’t sure whether it’s Shawn’s teasing touches or the alcohol making you shiver. You move your hands behind his neck and he tugs you closer to his body while locking your eyes with his.
You feel Shawn’s boner grow between your thighs which forces heatwaves down your spine.
“Kiss me.” He breathes as his thumb slips across your mouth.
You can almost feel him throbbing when you press yourself further against him, eager to feel as much of him as possible. You dwell too long and Shawn loses his patience with you.
Therefore, he leans in to press his lips to yours in a messy and somewhat sloppy drunk kiss. He tastes bitter from the wine but his usual sweetness lingers just underneath.
You tangle your fingers into his curls while Shawn uses his tongue to spread your lips apart, he moans into your mouth as your tongue begins to play with his.
Your entire body is vibrating. You feel it in your fingertips and all the way to your toes.
Shawn moves his hand from your thigh and reaches for the back of your neck as he deepens the steamy kiss.
He’s getting worked up, you feel the heat from his body through the white t-shirt, hiding his well-trained chest underneath.
You search for the bottom of the t-shirt and allow your hands to slip under. Your cold fingers make him shiver, when you begin to trace his butterfly tattoo.
Shawn doesn’t like when you tease him, he likes to be the one in charge, but you cherish the moments where he doesn’t fight you on it.
“You do it every time.” He mumbles into your mouth.
“I like your tattoos.” You excuse yourself.
“This is my favorite, though.” Your fingertip swirls the ink of the butterfly and within seconds you feel his body tensing.
“You have an odd obsession with my tattoos.” Shawn laughs in your ear, before sucking gently on your earlobe.
“I have an odd obsession with you.” You whimper back, your eyes flickering from feeling his wet tongue.
“It’s not that odd.” He teases with a smirk.
“You’re an absolute idiot.” You roll your eyes at him and he can’t hold back a small laughter.
He pushes the white shirt over his head and throws it toward the floor. Shawn watches you carefully and a little impatiently, while you begin to study the small tattoos on his body.
He doesn’t like to be touched too much, unless he’s in a certain mood, but he allows you feel him this time. Your hand runs over the guitar on his arm and behind to the ‘good luck’ on the back.
He tilts his head with a smile while you trace the black ink. Shawn cups your cheek with his hand and you feel his thumb caress your jawline softly.
You lean down and plant a tender kiss on the little yoga tattoo on his wrist. You hear a soft moan as response to your small gesture.
He’s told you the meaning of the rest, but he’s never gone into detail with this one and therefore, you know it’s special to him.
“You’re beautiful, you know?” Shawn suddenly states and your eyes darts to his. You shake your head with a smile, but his stare remains serious.
“I think you’re too drunk to know better.”
“I might be drunk, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re fucking gorgeous.”
Your heart flicker from his sweet words but you remind yourself not to put too much into his words. You figure it’s a compliment most manage to get out of him. But even with that in mind, your heart does skip a beat.
“You’re doing it again.” Shawn points out, allowing his thumb to slide across your trembling bottom lip.
“Doing what?”
“You’re overthinking. As always.” He says as if it’s the most logical answer in the world. “It’s like you tune out completely.”
“Then make me stop.” You interrupt teasingly with a playful look in your eyes.
Shawn’s expression changes in a heat moment and suddenly you see the lust glowing in his eyes. Shawn dips his hands beneath the hem of your over-sized hoodie and as easily as nothing, he removes the fabric from your body and lets it slide to the floor.
You hold your breath and feel the goosebumps on your bare skin while Shawn takes a few seconds to look at your curves.
You feel somewhat exposed and it causes your eyes to flicker as the heat raises in your cheeks.
The wine is getting to your head and the heat rolls of your body as response when Shawn allow his hands to brush delicate patterns against your collarbone. He smiles at you and your heart melts from the sight.
You card your fingers through his hair as he leans forward to meet you in a heated kiss. Shawn moves his hands to unbuckle his belt without breaking the kiss, you exhale into his mouth when his fingers slides between your legs to push your panties aside.
You’re soaking already which makes Shawn smirk while continuing to kiss you. His fingers are rubbing your wet core, forcing you to throw your head back while whimpering his name in an ache.
You hear him mumble a small ‘good girl’ when you shut your eyes in response to the pleasure his fingers are causing.
You’re dripping on him, sticking to his skin and warming in his while they are in you. Shawn attaches his lips to your neck, swirling and sucking to leave marks behind.
He doesn’t take a second to prepare you and in a sudden move, you feel his cock slide in you.
You sway your back when you feel him deeper in you, whimpering under your breath to cope with the frustration vibrating through your veins.
Shawn bites your neck, groaning against your sweaty skin when you begin to ride him softly. Your hands are on his broad chest, your nails digging into him as you move on top of his lank body.
Shawn’s hands are cupping your sore breast while his tongue leaves wet trails behind.
You’re used to the fact that Shawn’s hands know their way around your body, but he never fails to crack butterflies in your stomach when he explores you with his fingers.
Shawn shudders when your hands trail down his chest and you reach for his hands. It only takes him a second, until he’s interlaced your fingers together and he open his eyes to catch your stare.
While you ride him with slow but deep moves, Shawn raises your hand intertwined together to his mouth and places a few kisses on your knuckles.
The heat is coloring his cheeks and drops of sweat are forming behind his curls. Shawn feels you clenching around him and he begins to guide you while riding him.
He meets your thrust the best he can, eager to slip deeper into your wet core. A lump form in your stomach and Shawn continues pushing you closer to your limit when meeting your deep thrusts.
He fills you out perfectly, stretches you out as much as you can take. Shawn throws his head back in pleasure when you adjust your position on him and begins to ride him hard and quick, eager and desperate to collide in an explosion with him.
Shawn moans your name, entirely out of breath, when you lean down to kiss him. His tongue slides into your mouth and he sucks on your lip hard enough to force a sharp yank to shoot through your body.
You break the kiss to moan when Shawn lifts his lower body to meet you rough moves. You bite into his shoulder to cope with the frustration and you hear Shawn laugh slightly at your reaction to his cock filling you out.
He loves to see you like this, desperate and hanging on the edge. You twist on him, resolving the both of you to reach your limits.
Shawn’s eyes flicker as he releases his load in you with a loud groan. You feel the warm liquid inside you while Shawn helps you climb of his body and sink down next to him.
You’re seeing stars as you cuddle into his warm chest and he slides his arm around your tired body.
With a small smile he removes tots of hair sticking to your neck and then, he leans down to place a tender kiss on your lips.
“You taste like me.” He mutters with a giggle.
“And you taste like me.” You whisper back.
For a second, he allows his forehead to rest against yours while he doesn’t take his eyes of you. Your fingers climb his skin to reach the silver chain around his neck, it forces goosebumps to appear on his arms.
“I have a confession.” He tells you with a raised eyebrow.
“And what’s that?” You reply with an eyeroll at his dramatic words.
With his thumb he turns your head and allows his mouth to find your ear. You feel a warmth in your stomach when you feel his unsteady breath against you.
“I’m falling in love with you.” He whispers and your heart stops for a second. You won’t admit the impact those words have on you, but you won’t give in.
“Let’s not do this.” You remind him, swallowing the lump in your throat. “You’re drunk. Too drunk.”
It’s not a new confession.
It’s the confession you get most times, when he’s downed a bottle of wine and he’s feeling lonely.
You know this is all you are ever going to get from him, empty words and drunk love confessions. Shawn isn’t the one to put his heart on the line, he doesn’t like it and at times you doubt he’s capable of doing it.
That’s the reason you’re never the only one he’s seeing and the reason you’ve never met his family.
You’re in his sheets when he wants you to be and not when you want to be. Shawn calls the shots and all you do is follow because you can’t quite give him up.
“I’m being serious.” He tells you, his tongue falling over his slurred words.
“Shawn, please stop.” You beg him, tears forming in your eyes. “Don’t do this again.”
Shawn doesn’t react to your begs, instead, he leans forward to place a kiss on your forehead and then, he reaches for his cigarettes on the table. He lights one and takes a drag, then he places it between your lips while you do the same.
You know its Shawn’s way of shutting down the conversation, his way of acting like he doesn’t know what’s going on and denying that you’re hurting.
You want it to be real, the things he tells you and the intimate moments you share with him.
But he’s said the slurred words before, after going through a bottle of vodka and not thinking clear.
As much as you want to believe him, as much as you want it to be true, you know he’ll wake you in the morning and ask you to sneak out before the sun comes out.
He thinks he might love you when he’s drunk, but then he sobers up and it all change for him.
But it doesn’t change the fact that you keep coming around to get your daily dose nor does it stop you from spending the rest of the night laying in each other’s arms in a cloud of smoke and a smell of cheap wine, while you talk about the stars and the moon to completely forget about it in the morning.
When the alcohol runs out, so does Shawn’s feelings but not yours. Your feelings stay the same, day and night, drunk or sober.

Fine Line || part i
author: here we go, lovies!! Want to give a quick shoutout to my babe @wholesomemendes because Kaleigh has been so supportive and I love her. Also quick thanks to @sauveteen and @shawnjpeg for writing you flower, you feast (I tagged it) because it made me want to do this and @watchmegetobsessed because she reinstated my need to write this story when I read back to you (i tagged it). I hope you fall in love with Maia like I did and enjoy reading this as much as I loved writing it!!
synopsis: she walks the fine line between friends and lovers. he walks the fine line between love and heartbreak. they walk the fine line where everything is blurred.
warnings: 4.2k of oblivious “best friends” obsessing over each other. It’s a little angsty but more fluffy than anything.
Jet-lagged Shawn is simultaneously Maia’s favorite and least favorite version of Shawn. Or maybe her favorite was her drunk Best Friend after her seventeenth birthday when he became affectionate and clingy crying out her name. But the jet-lagged version was definitely up there.
He looked soft, in grey sweatpants and his ‘Youth’ sweatshirt. With hooded eyes, rosy cheeks, and chapped lips, emulating a sigh from the back of his throat. Exhaustion hid messily behind his smiling features. It was clear to her though. Maia could recall this look, and his crushing weight on top of her, since high school before he was selling out stadiums.
She enjoyed this sleepy side because she knew what followed his sweet demeanor. His forehead would crease, his hands would tug at his perfect curls, his voice would drop to a grumble while his muscles flexed. It was the worst.
Maia has seen a lot of jet-lagged Shawn throughout the years. Whether he was in a different country while on tour or flying to Los Angeles from Toronto too much, she’d confidently say she knew her best friend in this state quite well.
The Oceania leg of his headlining world tour was complete. Shawn had rushed from Auckland, New Zealand all the way to his condo, and happily found her curled around the softest blanket he owned, sunk into his white couch.
The second he heard ‘New Girl’ reruns coming from his tv through the door, his heart was light. Finding Maia exactly where he hoped she’d be, just bringing up his heart rate further. And he took a minute just drinking her in. It didn’t matter that her hair was messy with knots littered about, that her, his, sweater was wrinkled, and she softly snored. It didn’t matter that those noises began overpowering the dialogue of the show she’d seen too many times to count.
What mattered to Shawn was seeing his Maia for the first time in months. She didn’t live here, though he had asked her to move in with him on multiple occasions, she had always refused because her life was in Montreal, five hours and eleven minutes away from him. A few hours doesn’t seem terrible, because frankly, it wasn’t, but Shawn missed seeing her the moment he got home. Back when she lived in Toronto, a mere four-minute drive from the famous boy, Maia ended up spending more time frolicking through his halls than her own.
Things did change, though. No matter how hard Shawn denied it. Because she got her dream job, and she moved away. Away from him.
Yet, here she was. His Maia, five hours away from her congested apartment, instead found sleeping soundly in his. Shawn couldn’t be happier seeing her there. He toed the heel of his Chelsea boots off his feet and shuffled over, praying his socks would mute the sounds of movement. Crouched by Maia’s face, hand coming up to cup her cheek, he was undeniably adoring her. He stared from this closer angle before pressing the calloused pad of his thumb across her cheekbone and peacefully roused her from her dreams.
“Papillon?”
She had called him that jokingly in school after a French class they had together. Leaning against her locker as students bustled and shoved their way down the small halls of Pine Ridge Secondary School. One extra aggressive classmate pushed so hard against Shawn’s bag he ended up pressed into Maia.
“You’re so fragile, Papillon.”
“Papillon? What ev-”
“It’s French for butterfly.”
“Really? And why am I a butterfly again?”
She had responded with some stupid excuse about him being delicate and a clutz before shoving him off her chest.
The nickname stuck. It didn’t matter that Shawn’s limbs had filled out or that he could lift her off the ground with ease. He was always Maia’s Papillon.
Her eyes were shut tight, her brows furrowed, and she mewled his name in question over and over.
“Maia,” he smiled when your shifting eased as his voice echoed along the walls, “Flower, I’m right here. Open your eyes, M.”
“Papillon?”
He watched as her eyes opened and nodded, his smile only growing when her arms wrapped around his neck.
Maia had driven, on Ontario-401 East, with every intention of surprising Shawn. She had thought about going all out, but after considering how jetlagged he’d be, Maia simply bought some popcorn preparations and flipped his television on.
“When did you get in?”
“About an hour ago. We took the long route home, Jake said something about a wreck on Gardiner Expressway.”
She nodded, too overwhelmed by her happiness to speak more. Maia’s hands found the small of his back, under the navy fabric of his sweatshirt, and pulled his body over her figure. Shawn’s arms quickly adjusted to brace his weight on his forearms on either side of her pouting face.
“What?” He flicked the hairs framing her face out of her eyes, “don’t give me that look!”
Her hands pressed down harder on his back, trying to effectively press his body down to hers.
“Stop! Your hands are so fucking cold. Jesus Christ, woman.”
Maia’s hands slipped out from under his clothes, holding his shoulders. Pulling down harshly, still wanting his weight on her.
“Honey,” Shawn’s hands slid along her jaw, “hey, I really don’t want to crush you.”
“Just c’ mere.”
“Flower, I love you, but I’ll crush you.”
He wasn’t lying; his 6’2” frame would smother Maia’s shorter figure, by seven inches. She had always been dainty, her hands barely reaching his second knuckles when they compared their hands.
“I know,” she smiled sheepishly, “you’re just far away.”
Shawn agreed, even though their legs were intertwined, her chest was pressed to his, and he felt her familiar heartbeat. He smiled softly when Maia continued pouting until he quickly shifted to flip their position. His body, now resting against the cushions, cradled her as she laid on top of him.
“I’m right here,” his hands made grabby motions at her hips.
She was quick to oblige, her head tucking into the crook of his body. Her lips grazed the crease in his shoulder, her hair brushed along the underside of his jaw. This was her favorite Shawn, the one who seemed happy to just exist with her.
“Bub.”
“Mmm?” He hummed against her skin, Maia felt the goosebumps crawling up her spine from the vibration.
"I have popcorn and hot chocolate makings on your counter.”
He hummed again, softer this time. Shawn knew they'd move from this position before too long because she wasn’t really his to hold, not like this, at least. No matter how many times he called her his Maia. She’d never be his, not really.
“Let me hold you a little longer,” he relished in the feeling of her lips pressed sweetly to his neck, “okay? M, just a little longer.”
“You good?”
His hands squeezed the curve of her side, before letting her pull away just barely. His perfect Maia coming into view.
“More than good,” he smiled as she brushed her finger down the bridge of his nose, “perfect, really.”
Her smile grew, her gaze remained locked on his. Maia leaned down, kissing the scar on his cheek, remembering that day happily. His heart almost hurt from beating so hard, and Shawn had to hold back a whimper when her eyelashes fluttered. She was so perfect, staring down at him. The moment broke off much too fast for either of them as she rose to her feet, hand outstretched for his.
“I love you, Papillon.”
“I love you too,” Shawn’s eyes locked on their intertwined hands, “God, I really fucking missed you.”
She just laughed and pulled him towards the kitchen. Both with gushing smiles and red cheeks, looking like a teenager with a stupid crush.
Maia wasn’t lying when she told Shawn she’d gone shopping for popcorn, but she wasn’t being completely truthful either. She had stocked up all his cabinets with food of all kinds, including a takeout box holding his favorite french toast from Regine Cafe, a local favorite down the block from her Montreal apartment. She had bought the makings of chocolate chip muffins, and he saw what looked like all the parts of a traditional English roast dinner. Shawn’s favorite meal his mom, Karen, makes when she comes by.
“You’re too good to me.”
“Yeah, well, you’re too good to me, we even out,” she chuckled, stepping up behind him, “I know you get homesick, and I just saved your mum the drive down. She always made you food before you get home, and I was already here. It made sense, Shawn.”
He hadn’t even been processing Maia’s voice behind him, all too focused on her small arms looping around his waist, her chin resting between his shoulder blades.
“Either way, thank you.”
“You’d do the same.”
“True,” she could practically hear his eye roll, “but, just let me say thank you.”
“Okay.”
The two just remained in the corner of the kitchen, enjoying the sweet, homey silence of Shawn’s condo. They worked happily making hot chocolate because it was past midnight, neither of them needing caffeine, and Maia had never liked the bitterness of coffee. Before long, they both had steaming mugs being stirred with silver spoons.
“Put your drink down.”
“Why?”
“Just,” he smiled at her confused look, “trust me, okay? Drink down, Flower, please.”
The moment the ceramic touched the marble countertop, his hands found the small of her waist just above her hips. He lifted Maia into the air, chuckling, as she squealed in shock. The hair of her arms stood up, her warm skin made contact with the cold counter she was now sitting on. She nearly gasped when Shawn’s hands found home under her shirt where the fabric met her cotton shorts, kneading the skin gently.
“You’re crazy,” her head fell to his shoulder.
“Yeah, for you. Only for you, M.”
Her heart dropped, freezing up her whole body, but Shawn’s hands continued to massage the tight muscle.
“Jesus, woman, why are you so tense? It’s just me.”
“Would you stop saying ‘woman’?”
“You are one, aren’t you?”
He was being cheeky, Maia’s body remained stiff in his hold.
“Relax,” his lips kissed her forehead, hoping she’d melt into his touch again, he repeated his mumble, “it’s just me.”
Shawn continued to move his hands, reassuring her of his words, until she slumped against him like putty in his hands. She turned her head, letting her lips brush the soft skin above his collarbone. Maia’s eyes fluttered closed, enjoying their closeness, knowing she couldn’t have it for much longer.
“Honey,” she hummed against his skin, sending vibrations down his spine, “what’s wrong?”
“What do you mean?”
“You’ve just been clingy.”
Maia’s eyes snapped open the second he finished his remark, quickly, adjusting her legs, forcing Shawn to move out from between her thighs. She offered him a half-ass, awkward smile before hopping off the counter.
“Whoa, wha-what?” He followed her figure with his eyes, not moving, still in shock from her sudden distance, “what just happened?”
“Nothing, um, I’m heading to bed, it’s late.”
“Flower…”
“See you in the morning?”
“What about,” his eyes searched for an excuse for her to stay, “what about your hot chocolate?”
“You can have it or just dump it in the sink.”
Shawn nodded his head, a frown on that perfect face of his as he watched Maia leave the kitchen, wandering down the hall.
He just stood there, processing the demeanor change, it was completely drastic to your soft persona he adored so much. His hands found his curls tugging on them harshly like she had predicted he would at some point, just not for the same reason. Shawn hated it when she blocked herself off from him, especially when he caused it.
Maia was never one to let her emotions out, she liked to keep them bottled so no one would worry until Shawn would mumble one word and she’d be falling apart in his arms.
His hands absentmindedly found the two lukewarm mugs dumping them into his sink and placing them on the metal drainer, reminding himself to deal with it in the morning. The quiet the two of them shared, now seemed bitter practically nipping at his mind until he walked down his hallway. He found himself staring at his bedroom door.
He let the light from the hall sneak in when he entered the room, not wanting to disturb your quiet and unmoving body with the overhead fixtures. His hands found the neckline of his soft sweatshirt, pulling it from his body. The once comforting warmth was now claustrophobic against his flustered skin. Shawn wanted her cold fingertips to run along the valleys in his back, to lure him to sleep. He lightly padded his way to the bed, feeling around the duvet for the curve of Maia’s figure only to come up empty. The mattress was cold, her perfume only lingering from that morning when she crawled out. Shawn could feel his stomach drop, knowing she was upset enough to not curl into his king-sized bed for comfort.
He flopped back, not bothering to pull any blanket over him, his arm folded behind his head as he considered his choices. Knowing Maia wouldn’t fall asleep laying across the hall from him, Shawn climbed out after only minutes of staring longingly from the ceiling to the crack between his door and the frame.
He stood silently in the hall, peeking into the guest room, sure enough seeing her resting form in a lump under the wool blanket stolen from his bed. His legs had a mind of their own walking towards you until he was kneeling at the foot of the mattress. He felt the fabric sink under the new weight, and Maia’s red eyes were connected with his all too welcoming honey ones. He could barely see her face, but the city lights reflected off her cheeks, tear tracks hitting him in the gut all over again. Shawn walked around the bed until he was kneeling by her face, just like she’d seen him earlier that night.
“Shawn, what ar-” her voice was cracked, and she had sniffled when taking a breath.
“Baby,” he was basically whimpering, reaching to cup her damp cheeks, “I’m so sorry. You don’t have to tell me anything, okay? M, I shouldn’t hav-”
“Shaw-”
“No, I shouldn’t have pushed you to talk to me. I swear, I just wanted to be helpful. And you’re absolutely not clingy, I love it when you let me in, and you are so close to me. Flower, I’m so sorry, so, so sorry.”
Shawn was crying, when Maia’s hands gripped his. Pulling him into her embrace, this time, however, he let his weight crush her dainty figure.
Shawn buried his head deep in her dark hair, his lips moving next to her ear mumbling.
“Sorry, Baby,” he repeated, again and again, mixed with sweet nothings.
“Papillon, hey,” she pulled his head back, so their temples pressed together, his nose against her cheekbone, “hey, I overreacted, please calm down. It kills me to see you like this, Bub.”
He pulled back further to hold her gaze, both their teary eyes making them let out soft chuckles of relief. Shawn rolled them over, letting his Maia bury herself in his chest, breathing in his expensive cologne.
“I love you,” He littered kisses on her eyelids, before letting Maia curl up in her spot in his neck.
“Mmm,” she hummed, the goosebumps down Shawn’s spine were back, “I love you too, Papillon, so much.”
He smiled as her breathing evened out, her grip loosening but still holding his bare chest against her now sleeping body. Shawn let his hand travel across the expanse of her spine under his sweater, adorning her figure. Maia leaned into his touch, her mind not letting her overthink in its restful sleep. It was like all her inhibitions were gone when his calloused thumb stroked the curve between her shoulder blades, enjoying the softness of her tanned skin. This was Shawn’s favorite Maia. His Maia. It was rare, but when he could just hold her silently, it always sent a serene wave over his mind just being with the girl he adored, holding her.
Shawn didn’t mind that he didn’t sleep before the sun peeked through his windows, the rays sending a glow over the skin he could see from the gap between her shorts and the rolled-up knit fabric of his sweater. He didn’t mind staring at her with a soft smile because he couldn’t sleep. His jetlagged head was eight hours ahead of hers. He definitely wouldn’t mind curling up with her later when he did, finally, tire out sometime in the afternoon.
“Shawn?”
His gaze moved from where his hand grazed her skin to her now open eyes, hours after sunrise. Shawn took in the depth and warmth of her brown irises. He smiled when her cheeks crinkled as she giggled at his sheepish expression, after being caught watching her sleep.
“How long have you been up?”
“Not long,” he was lying, Maia could tell when he gazed back down at his hands, not daring to make eye contact, “how did you sleep?”
“Good. What time is it in New Zealand?”
“Like twelve or one I think, why?”
“You haven’t slept?”
“Honey, it’s fine. I’ll go to sleep early tonight, eh?”
She nodded yawning and enjoyed her view of her best friend's home. Maia’s hands found the edge of the covers, pushing them off of her, Shawn's hand slipping out from under her clothes when she adjusted. He quickly grabbed her waist, pulling her back into bed, flush against his chest when she tried to climb out.
“Where do you think you’re going, Flower?”
“Mmm, up.”
He held her tight when she went to stand again, laughing when she huffed, realizing she’d be unable to overpower his strength.
“Shawn, our day is already shortened because you’ll be collapsing in exhaustion by like two.”
“I’ll stay up for you.”
“Yeah,” she frowned from on top of him, his hands holding her down on his stomach, “you and I both know that’s not what I want, Papillon. It’s not healthy.”
“Stop your worrying, woman.”
“Stop calling me ‘woman’”
She groaned, still sitting on him, her legs on either side of his waist. His hands squeezed her legs, showing no signs of letting go at any point. Maia realized a morning cuddled into Shawn wouldn’t hurt, even if both their sleep schedules changed in the result, so she let her chest slump onto his and just enjoyed the feeling of his touch everywhere.
“Shawn?”
“Mmm?”
“How long are you home for?”
He sighed and his movements stopped for a moment before she looked up at him. Shawn smiled down at the girl in his arms before continuing to rub her back and kissed her forehead softly.
“My first show is the twenty-ninth,” he tried to ignore the pull on his heart when Maia frowned, “so, I’ll leave in a couple weeks for rehearsal and publicity.”
She nodded, wanting to say something along the line of ‘I wish you could stay’ or ‘I wish I could go with you’ but, wishes were all they’d be. So, Maia held her tongue not wanting to give Shawn any ideas or hopes that she’ll skip the rest of her school semester. She would skip the rest of the semester, she’d probably skip the rest of the year because no one, in her mindset, could say no to him.
“How long can you stay?”
“Um,” she glanced up at him, trying to see past the little stubble on his chin, resting on his chest to see his eyes, “I’ll stay as long as you’ll have me.”
His eyes looked down to hers in shock, the idea of her staying in Toronto with him for two weeks almost too overwhelming.
“Really?”
“I mean, yeah. I’m taking a couple classes online right now, so I’m in no rush.”
“In that case,” he tickled at her side, getting a sweet laugh in reward, “you’re stuck with me, forever.”
“Forever?”
“Baby, now that I have you, I’m not letting you leave this bed, much less my city. Or Drake’s city, whatever”
Maia giggled and settled back in his arms, smiling at the idea of being his forever, just the two of them holed up in his bed, his apartment, and this perfect little world for both of them. Her heart fell a bit, knowing he’d share that world with a different girl, eventually, that Maia wouldn’t always get the benefits of Shawn’s love once a girlfriend enters the picture. Once he finds the love of his life.
She couldn’t bear the idea, much less a reality like that. She pulled away, just slightly.
tbreak. She’d excuse her love towards the boy on multiple occasions by choosing to believe she just missed him like any best friend should. And maybe a bit more.
Shawn could read Maia like an open book, his concerned eyes watching her, searching for answers in her silence. He watched the shift in her eyes from its warm, chocolate color to a dark, sad muddied color.
“Hey, Honey,” he was still watching her reactions, “we’re taking advantage of this time, yeah? And then it’s only a month apart, and then we’ll be back in Pickering for Christmas. My parents would love to have you again, and then I can stay in Montreal with you for a while. You’re stuck with me, M. You should know that by now.”
She smiled, but that sweet light he loved hadn’t shown up again, so Shawn pulled her down onto his chest, hoping Maia would curl into him again. She’d be happy again, and that’s all he cared about.
“I love you, Flower.”
“I love you, too,” she rested her chin on his chest, the little hairs tickling her skin, to stare at him, “I’m just homesick, I think.”
“Want to go back to Pickering for a couple days, then? I was actually thinking that’d be a good trip. I’d love to see my parents and Aaliyah again.”
“No,” he looked confused with furrowed eyebrows, “I mean, yes, but I’m not homesick for Pickering. I think I’m just missing you more than usual.”
Shawn felt like jumping around and squeezing Maia, so she’d squeal in shock, but he settled for kissing the crown of her head and holding her hip that much tighter.
“I’m right here.”
She hummed, her lips pressed into his chest, feeling the thump of his heart. He was so close, acting like Maia’s favorite Shawn. Just holding her.
“Is that why you were upset? Last night?”
Maia nodded, deciding that was close enough to the feeling of her heartbreak. She’d excuse her love for the boy on multiple occasions by choosing to believe she just missed him, as any best friend should. And maybe a bit more.
“M,” Shawn waited for her eyes to lock on his, “I love you.”
“I love you too, Papillon.”
And for once he actually believed she could be his Maia. Not his best friend. Not the girl he loved since he was seventeen when he admitted his feelings, drunk. Not the Maia he adored from a distance. His Maia.
“C’mon, up we go,” she’s pulling at his hands, “it’s Sunday, so we can head to the farmer’s market. I’ll make that raspberry jam you like to put on the bagels I brought from Montreal. It’s time to explore, eh?”
Shawn’s perfect morning is ruined just like that. It’s a wave that hits him, pulling him underwater the rips too strong. He knew she wasn’t his — his Maia. He sat up letting the covers fall from his stunning physique that Maia tried to not ogle at before turning and sashaying her way into his kitchen.
This was their reality. Walking around the market, pinkies brushing each other, her eyes searching his profile covered by those stupid Tom Ford sunglasses. They couldn’t hold hands and they definitely couldn’t kiss. They just stood side by side, longing for something they feared they’d never get. Reality sucked.

twenty! three! my! dream!
Here you go my dear @justinndavis! 💕✨
Prompt: *gentle head massages until the other is alsleep*
You know he’s going to be totally exhausted when he makes it back home to you. A 14 hour flight back from Tokyo was bad enough, but then add in the delays on both ends and how long it’s been taking him to get back into the city from Pearson. It was a lot.
He throws himself onto you the moment the door was closed behind him, clinging like an oversized koala. “Hey you,” he murmurs into your hair, fighting a yawn.
“Come on, to bed with you Shawn,” you say, tugging him towards your bedroom.
“‘S early for you though,” he fights out through another jaw cracking yawn as you cross through the doorway.
“What a tragedy, cuddling and loving all over my boy in bed for a couple extra hours. Gosh, how totally horrible. What ever will I do?” you joke, helping him strip his layers off. “You want flannels, baby?”
He shakes his head, crawling immediately under the covers in just his boxer briefs. “C’mere?” he asks, one hand peeking out from the duvet trying to snag you.
You dust a kiss to his forehead, “One second. Lemme get this in the hamper and I need to change since my human fireplace is back in bed with me.”
Making a quick change into a cami and boyshorts while tossing everything of his into the closet hamper, you make it back into bed just as his eyes are giving way. Sliding down next to him, he immediately shifts, rolling into you with his head on your chest.
“Mmmm, I missed you,” he mumbles against your collarbone as he reaches for your other hand. “Please baby? M’so damn sleepy. And you always make me feel so good when you do it.”
He draws your hand up, leaving it in his unruly curls and presses into your palm. His giveaway on how truly drained he is, is when he does this. Overgrown puppy mode. You’ll never admit it, especially to him, how much you love when he needs you this way.
You can’t help but chuckle as he keeps leaning up into you as your fingers start weaving through his hair, scratching and rubbing at his scalp in haphazard pattens. You feel his breath start evening out against your skin. “That’s it sweetheart, just let it all go. You’re home. I’m right here. Get some sleep.”
He nuzzles against you with a soft sigh, “Love you. Your turn tomorrow night.”
You lean down to drop a kiss against his head. “Deal. Love you too baby. Now sleep.”
And he does.

When life throws you lemons Part 4 (Shawn Mendes Au)
When life throws you lemons, you’re forced to deal with Shawn Mendes. Before moving in with five guys, including Shawn Mendes, Kylie swore she would never ever in her life allow Shawn to get anywhere near her but things quickly change and soon she finds herself drunkenly kissing him in a bathroom. What starts as a drunken kiss turns into a passionate secret relationship.
A soft knock on the bathroom door interrupted mine and Shawn’s second kiss. A smug grin covered his lips as he slowly backed away from me, his eyes taking a quick look at me before his gaze shifted towards the mirror. He calmly ran his fingers through his hair before reaching back to unlock the door. Shawn walked out of the bathroom with me following him in a panicked state.
Did that just happen?
”What are you two doing coming out of a bathroom?” Bella called out drunkenly as she watched me shamefully wipe the smeared lip gloss off of my lips.
”Can I talk to you outside?” I quickly tried to silence Bella as I grabbed her hand and led her towards the front door.
The second kiss had sobered me up and my current state was somewhere in between painfully aware that I’d just kissed Shawn Mendes and pleasantly unaware of how hungover I was going to be in the morning.
”What’s up?” Bella asked as we walked down the steps of the front porch and sat down at the bottom. There were a few people on the front lawn smoking and talking while others were already getting ready to leave.
”I’m really fucking drunk.” I tried to explain myself and I was really fucking drunk, I just happened to sober up the moment I stepped out of the bathroom and now as I was breathing the fresh air outside, I realize I’d just made out with Shawn in the bathroom.
”Right…” Bella urged me to spill the beans. I explained the kitchen drink off that me and Shawn had in the kitchen and Bella laughed as she chimed. ”That explains why you’re ten times as wasted as I am.”
”I know…” I rolled my eyes. I mean, we did say we were gonna get completely wasted tonight, so at least I stayed true to my promise. I continued to explain the events that had unfolded after me and Shawn had our stare off in the kitchen, telling the story back to Bella made me realize how much I’d had to drink and it was honestly a miracle that I had yet to pass out.
”Wait!” Bella cooed loudly. ”You what?” She chimed loudly as she covered her mouth and looked at me with wide eyes.
”Not so loud!” I groaned as I looked around the front lawn, a few girls on the sidewalk had turned around due to Bella’s little burst out.
”You saw it?” She whispered yelled as she looked at me surprised and with slight amusement in her eyes. ”Was it big?” She gasped, releasing a giddy laughter as she waited for me to spill about the details I’d seen while Shawn and I were in the bathroom.
”I-” I choked out, replaying the scene inside my head against my will. ”I guess.” I shrugged as I tried to surprise the memory of seeing Shawn’s dick.
”You guess?” Bella cooed. ”It either was, or wasn’t…” She cooed, a grin covering her lips.
”I didn’t really-” I tried to explain but deep down inside, I knew I’d seen more than enough and if I were to judge, it was pretty big.
”Yeah, you did.” Bella called out teasingly as she watched a soft blush creep onto my already red cheeks.
”Okay, I might’ve peaked…” I said, avoiding her burning gaze.
”How big?” She asked motioning with her two hands as if she was measuring a huge loaf of bread between her hands.
”I don’t know, big enough.” I shrugged. ”That’s not the point… You’re missing the point.” I tried to shift the subject.
”Did you guys have sex?” Bella squealed as she looked at me with glistening eyes. She was way giddier about this whole thing than I was but that’s because she’s a child at heart. I know if she wasn’t already into Niall she’d probably have a crush on Shawn. She’s the kind of girl that falls for any guy and every guy as long as they pay enough attention to her and if she wasn’t completely smitten by Niall, Shawn would’ve probably reeled her in with his obnoxious flirting a long time ago.
”Ew, no!” I called out, grossed out by the thought.
”I don’t see why you’re so against it, he’s hot.” Bella frowned as she scolded me for the missed opportunity.
”Yeah, but he’s also extremely annoying and Harry’s cousin!” I pointed out. ”Besides, if I have no other place to stay at the end of the month them I’m forced to live here and I refuse to share a house with my best friend and his cousin whom I’ve fucked.” I explained as I looked at Bella. Bella looked confused, as if she couldn’t understand what the big deal was but I already knew that if I ever let Shawn anywhere near my pants I would never hear the end of it from either of the five boys in the house.
”What makes you think Harry would mind?” Bella asked me with a shrug.
”I don’t know, maybe he wouldn’t but that’s weird. The idea of sleeping with your best friends cousin is weird.” Bella pursed her lips at me as her shoulders shrugged at me again.
”I mean, you are my best friend and if you had a hot cousin, I’d probably fuck him…” Bella giggled.
”I’d never let that happen.” I laughed as I looked at her smug face. ”Besides all my cousins are back in Arizona and after hearing this, I’m never letting you meet any of them.”
”Okay fine, maybe it’s a little weird.” Bella admitted. ”But it’s not like they’re siblings.” She pointed out.
”Ew.” I shook my head at Bella.
”I mean, it’s not like you can deny the fact that he’s hot. You’ve gotta be blind to do that.” Bella drunkenly argued as she leaned back on the wooden stair.
I wasn’t gonna deny that, Shawn is attractive and there’s no denying that, but it’s not like all I’m craving in a relationship is sexual attraction. I’m not looking for sex, I’m looking for love. I want a guy to spend the rest of my life with, someone who can make me laugh and cook dinner. I want someone who can challenge me to evolve as a person and someone who can understand me on a deeper level. I doubt Shawn even knows how to cook cup noodles.
When I think about my future, I see myself as a successful entrepreneur and business woman. I see myself as a wife and a mother, someone who can balance her work life with her family life. I see myself with a husband that supports me, someone who personally challenges me and maybe professionally too if we share the same career path. He’s equally as dedicated to work and our family as I am and I see us living happily together somewhere in Los Angeles, maybe in the Hollywood Hills, maybe even in Beverly Hills.
”No, no, it wasn’t like a full on make out.” I overheard Shawn in the kitchen as I walked through the hallway towards the bathroom. My feet instantly turned as I made a bee-line for the kitchen.
”You’ve got to be kidding me.” I muttered beneath my breath as I listened to Shawn spill all the details about our kiss to his best friend Brian.
”Back for another round?” Shawn’s drunken gaze shifted towards me as he leaned back against the kitchen counter, a cocky grin plastered across his lips.
”I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I smiled as I looked towards Brian with a huge friendly smile on my face, trying my best to sound as believable as possible. ”And if you say another word, I’ll fucking kill you!” I whispered through gritted teeth in Shawn’s ear. I had to lean up on my tippy toes to be able to get close to his ear. ”I’m just gonna talk to him over there, for a second.” I said as I pulled Shawn towards the hallway, squeezing my hand around his arm and forcing my fingers into his skin painfully hard. Brian could barely insist before we were out of the kitchen.
”I thought I made it pretty clear that if you kiss n tell, I’ll kill you.” I said as Shawn leaned back against the wall in the hallway. I narrowed my eyes at him, hoping he would wipe that smug grin off his face and realize that I was being serious.
”Relax, Kylie.” Shawn cooed as he leaned his head back against the wall. I wish I was taller, because at this point he was staring down at my 5’3 figure and it did not make me come across as the biggest threat ever.
”Just for once, keep your mouth shut!” I groaned, clenching my fist tightly. I was extremely tempted to punch that smug grin off of his face.
”And if I don’t?” Shawn asked teasingly.
”I’ll deny it.” I shrugged, I’m a decent liar.
”Well, we both know the truth so…” Shawn cooed, his piercing gaze burning into my eyes. ”And I know you like what you saw.” Shawn winked before freeing himself from the conversation, leaving me speechless and without a chance to retaliate.
”I swear to God.” I cussed at myself before clenching my fists together. On one hand I wanted to punch the wall and on the other hand I wanted to punch myself because Shawn wasn’t wrong. I had kind of liked what I’d seen, but I blame that on the alcohol and the effect it has on my hormones.
How much more alcohol until I black out, I thought to myself as I circled back into the kitchen, grabbing myself a new red cup and making myself another vodka soda. I gulped the drink down hastily and made myself a large refill before walking back into the living room.
The music was blaring around me and as the large crowd of people moved around the living room. I didn’t feel like joining them. Instead I sat down on the couch and placed my cup on the table in front of me. My eyes were having a hard time focusing on anything and the music was just so loud, making it hard to concentrate on anything. I leaned back in the couch, releasing a sigh as I made myself comfortable on the soft cushion.
I almost dozed off as I sat on the couch thinking about how fucked up I would be in the morning. I guess I can only blame myself for this upcoming hangover but that doesn’t mean I’ll like it. At least my night had gone exactly as planned, I’d completely forgotten about my anxiety over my living situation thanks to the large amount of alcohol I’d consumed. However, this anxiety had been completely replaced by the fact that I’d not only drunkenly kissed Shawn Mendes in the bathroom but also seen his entire dick. Seeing a dick isn’t gonna kill anyone but I might have to kill myself for thinking about it in this drunken haze that I was now entering after downing what seemed to be my last drink.
I couldn’t help it, I’m a fucked up person that likes to replace one anxious thought with another so I guess, sober me, will have to deal with this in the morning. Hopefully - or maybe unfortunately - my sober self will have forgotten about the sight of Shawn’s dick.

Beautiful Distraction
Shawn Mendes x female reader
Warning: SMUT ,maybe grammar error and maybe some punctuation errors
GIF credits to owner and maker @undertheniall
You currently lay in the couch, scrolling through your meeting and interview schedule for tomorrow. It’s around 7:30 PM, and your husband Shawn, was still scribbling lyrics in his notebook.
Ever since you and Shawn got married, the two of you decide that both of you are not allowed to be working past 7 PM or before 8 AM but interviews and concert performances are excluded of course.
This was the only way the two of you could just function as a human being and spend time with each other as balancing marriage life and pop-star life can be difficult.
“Shawn, baby it’s time to take a break.” You said
“In a minute baby.” He replied still focusing his gaze on his notes.
That’s when an idea pops into your head that makes you giggle excitedly and make your way from the couch to the closet.
Once you’re fully dressed in your new attire, you do a bit of touch ups to your hair and makeup before leaving the bedroom, and go back downstairs.
You decide to wear a short, black silk robe, open a bit to show the matching black lacy lingerie and tights you were wearing underneath.
Before proceeding with your plan, you decided to cook his favourite food.
Once the food is done you walked back to the living room and put two plates at the table near the couch before heading to Shawn’s seating area.
“Something smells goo-” He Says with a grin as you walk over, sitting across his lap in the couch with your arms around his neck.
“I made your favourite since it’s after seven and I figured we should at least have dinner before you continue.” You said while carding your fingers through his hair. Meanwhile he started to ran his fingers over the robe, trying to pull it off. You moved his hand away.
“Na-uh, not til after dinner,” you told him motioning for him to sit down back down and you remove yourself from his lap.
He sat, but he couldn’t keep his eyes off you. You were playing a dangerous game but what’s life without a little teasing.
Once you placed his plate of food in front of him, leaning over just far enough for your robe to open a little allowing him to glimpse your exposed cleavage and took your place, you could see him drooling. You smirked and started eating as if this was something you did everyday.
“So how’s the lyrics coming along?” You asked innocently.
“Huh, lyrics?” He blinked. “Uh it’s okay .”
“Just okay?”
He nodded and started to eat.
You reached for your glass, letting the robe slide open a bit more. “So do you need my help?”
He stared at the skin and lace that had been exposed, not hearing what you said. Making you just giggle. Hearing your giggle he snapped out of his thoughts.
“This is my favourite food.”
“Oh, I know,” you replied before crossing your legs where he could see your thighs when your robe rode up and taking a sip of your drink.
His eyes widened, completely thrown off by what you’re trying to do. “Am I supposed to only look at my plate?” His words sarcastic.
“I guess so, because a few minutes ago you wouldn’t even take your eyes from your notebook.” You replied sarcastically
He shook his head, getting annoyed. “Baby suddenly my favourite food doesn’t sound that tempting anymore.”
“Oh really? You asked cocking an eyebrow, “what could possibly be more tempting?” he couldn’t believe you asked him that when it’s obvious you already know the answer.
You walked over to him, now right in front of where he sat. “After this are you going back to writing?,” You asked while placing your hands on either side of his chair so your face was almost touching his. “I mean work is important right?” You asked, straddling his lap on the chair.
He gulped, his eyes going soft again as he tried to fight the temptation. You were so beautiful and he felt lucky you’re his wife. Shawn knew he needs to continue writing his lyrics.
“Y/N, I-” He stuttered. You grabbed his hands and placed them on your hips. “Do you want me to stop?” You asked, pouting your lips. He bit his lip as his fingers began to swirl circles on your sides where they rested. You slightly grinded your hips against him as you wrap your arms around his neck.
“No...” He breathlessly spoke. You smirked, your heart skipping a beat.
Shawn tried to fight this feeling he was getting but he knew you could already feeling him getting hard beneath you. “Fuck it,” he said and crashed his lips to yours.
You started to pull your robe off and he pulled away so he could get a good view. Then he started kissing your chest while his hands worked with the back of your bra, unclasping it.
You stood up for a moment, his eyes watching your every move as you pulled your underwear down. You began to work at his shirt and pants as he arched his back against the chair and immediately removed them so his was completely exposed.
You smiled as He reached for your face, pulling you tightly against him and crashed his lips into yours .
his hands roaming to grip your ass. You gasped as he pulled away. You looked up into his eyes, that were hungry for lust.
“Shawn! Ugh..” You yelped as he hit your g-spot.
He could feel himself nearing the end and he couldn’t take not being in control any longer. He picked you up and placed you on the floor below him. You lay on your back as he was placed between legs.
By now You both were moaning, each other’s names and you could feel Your body getting warm as you felt your climax, bucking your hips up to meet his thrusts.
You both finished as he slowly removes himself from you and you simply collapsed in his arms.
Feeling that he just picks you up, lying down on the couch with you on his chest.
“You good baby?” He asks, running his fingers through your hair.
“That was great.” You reply with a giggle. A laugh rumbled through his chest as he kisses your forehead.
“I’m sorry I distracted you from writing your lyrics.” You say softly, tracing your finger over his chest.
In response Shawn just places his hand over yours before bringing it to his lips and began kissing your knuckles.
“It’s okay, baby. I’m actually glad you did. I’m sorry I lost track of time.” He Says and You pull away from him, getting up and reaching for his shirt.
“Let me help you. With two brains you’ll finish a song in no time.” You say while putting back your underwear as you speak. Meanwhile Shawn puts his own pants back into place as he sits up, looking at you.
“Baby you still have to write your entire album too, You don’t have to-“
“I want to, Shawnie. I don’t want you feeling so overwhelmed about this. Let me help you. I know the vibe of your songs and I’m also a songwriter .” You say
In that moment a smile appears in his face when he saw that you were wearing his shirt and he also felt really grateful to have you by his side everyday for the rest of his life and especially during these tough times.
“It’s late. You should be sleeping . Are you sure you want to be here and be overwhelmed with me?” He asks, laughing when he sees you roll your eyes at him.
“Yes Shawn I want to be stressed out with you.” You say, leaning in to kiss his lips.
“Okay, okay. Well, let’s write some lyrics. No distractions.” He Says, pointing his finger at you with a smile.
“I love you but I make no promises.”
“I love you too but baby please put the distraction off for tonight.” He replied

Before Now - chapter 11
previous chapters
11.
A couple of days later, Shawn’s gone for work again, so I don’t have to worry about running into him. I don’t bother texting or calling him to ask about what my mom mentioned. I don’t know how to bring it up. Despite how much I want to yell him for talking to his mom about me like I’m a charity case or a lost puppy that needs a home, my ego won’t let me reach out to him.
After a week, I’m convinced that Karen was just being nice by trying to push Shawn into taking me on tour, the poor girl whose life is falling apart and who dropped out of college. Shawn probably agreed enough to placate both of our parents, but he had no intention of actually following through with it.
I had almost forgotten about all of that a week later when I receive an email from Andrew, Shawn’s manager. The email details an offer for a three-month-long position on Shawn’s tour. I’d work as his photographer with more of an emphasis on videography. An entire contract is written up, but he says that it can all be discussed in a meeting if I choose to attend. I’d be traveling with Shawn pretty much nonstop throughout the contract, so all travel expenses are paid for, and I’ll get a paycheck on top of that. In my opinion, a very generous one especially considering I have so little experience doing concert photography. Any reservations I may have had about spending three months following Shawn around are overshadowed completely by the opportunity to get paid to travel the world and take pictures, which is honestly all I’ve ever wanted in life. I just never thought I’d actually get a chance to do it. And I didn’t want it to be because Shawn felt bad for me or because his mom made him do it.
Despite this, I agree to talk to Andrew about it and we schedule a meeting. I was not expecting to see Shawn in this meeting, but he’s the first person I see when I walk in the room that morning. He’s sitting at the head of the big conference table staring down at his phone. There are a few other people in the room besides Shawn and Andrew, and they’re all dressed professionally. I introduce myself to them and they share that this meeting is mostly to discuss my contract and the outlines of the contract since they’ve already seen my work and are interested in hiring me.
I didn’t expect Shawn to be here, seeing as it didn’t seem to have much to do with him at all. What came as even more of a surprise was how involved he was once the meeting began. I was unprepared and unsure of how to even negotiate. Shawn, on the other hand, clearly had some experience with meetings like this one. He was undoubtedly paying attention, and it soon became clear he was looking out for me in terms of the contract. I, obviously, don’t know much about anything to do with working as a photographer for concerts.
If left on my own in the meeting, I probably would have done all of it for free, and I would have slept in the back of a van if I had to, scraping together enough money one way or another to pay for my food. I was not going to be picky or difficult about this. I would take what I could get because in all honesty, I had nothing to offer and experience to gain. Even just being able to write on a future resume that I had photographed Shawn for the duration of an entire tour would give me more credibility than I could get working my ass off on my own. The experience alone provided more than enough incentive to say yes to whatever they asked of me and not ask for more than the absolute bare necessities.
If I didn’t know any better, I could have easily assumed that Shawn was there for me, to get me the best deal. Almost like everything more that I asked for was not coming out of his own income. He sat in the meeting, going over the contract more carefully than even I did, asking questions that I wouldn’t have thought to ask. All I knew about this job was that I was taking photographs, putting together short movies for him to post on Instagram and for them to sell to various sources. That’s all that really mattered to me, but Shawn asked about sleeping arrangements, about hotel rooms for whenever he stayed in hotels. That wasn’t something that was in the contract until Shawn brought it up, and they agreed to write it in. Another thing he inquired about that I hadn’t thought of and wouldn’t have brought up myself was flights. He let them know that if he was flying somewhere, I should too. At first, it didn’t make sense until I realized that some of his shows were on the same landmasses but very far, so Shawn flew, but most of the crew would just travel by road, and if he hadn’t put that stipulation in, I would have been with them, which I wouldn’t have argued about.
I still don’t fully understand how all of this stuff works, but Shawn has to be behind all of this. They sell him, his music, his face, his fame, and the money he makes gets distributed in whatever way to the people who put him out there or back him, or somehow contribute to making this all work. He has to know that everything more he asks for me to be written into the contract is less that he gets at the end of it all. I don’t understand why he’s even taking a chance on me, bothering to bring me onto the tour when I’m really just another expense. But I’m too afraid to ask. My mom always said don’t ever look a gift horse in the mouth. I don’t know exactly what that means, but I know not to ask questions when something comes along just when I need it most.
Other than sitting in the same room and Shawn talking about me and the contract, we don’t talk directly to each other much at all throughout the meeting. I don’t know how to talk to him anymore anyway, and I know it’s better this way. I’ll go on tour with him, but only as his photographer and nothing more. It’s a silent agreement between the two of us, at least I think so. He’s doing it as a favor to our moms, and maybe deep inside he’s doing it as a favor to me, not that I really deserve a favor from him. I don’t want to feel like I owe him anything, but I already feel like I owe him everything. I have to earn my place on this tour, and if I don’t then I can’t stay. I’ve already decided.
Any contact I have with Shawn in the next week before leaving for tour is strictly business. I get the sense that he’s not entirely interested in being friends, and it gives me at least some peace of mind about this all. I’m not the same person I was when we dated, and I’m not the same person I was over a year ago the last time we talked. He doesn’t need to know that or the me I am now. I work for him, so as long as I do my job and take good pictures, my personal life shouldn’t matter.
I leave a week after the contract is signed. I don’t have much to say goodbye to that I haven’t already said goodbye to. The twins are already moved into their college dorm, and Noah is excited to finally have his shot at being an only child. My mom’s just glad I won’t be sitting on the couch all semester, and my dad, well, he doesn’t really say much.
-
From the very first day of tour, I’m immediately overwhelmed. I have so much to learn. Tour life is so different than anything I’ve ever experienced. I’m not sure how to approach it at first, but then I get caught up in the excitement of getting to shoot and practice photography, and suddenly it becomes all about that. I’ve always had a passion for photography but getting to photograph someone with so much passion for what he’s doing has opened up a whole new world for me. When I’m hidden behind my camera, looking through the lens and waiting to get the perfect shot, I forget anything and everything else.
The traveling is exhausting, but being on the road all the time, and being constantly busy, either traveling or filming or editing leaves little time for me to think or really do anything but work. Healthy or not, it is honestly the only way I’ve learned to cope. Keeping busy like this is the only way I know how to be okay right now.
The first few shows honestly pass in a blur. I’m learning faster than I’ve ever learned anything before, and yet it still seems like I’m not keeping up, not learning fast enough. It’s like being thrown into the deep end of a pool and having to learn to swim.
None of my photography classes could have even come close to preparing me for this experience. I’m quickly discovering that it really is a full-time job, and I’m exhausted after just the first week. I spend all my time shooting or editing or sleeping. Between the constant traveling, filming, and editing, I really don’t have much left in me by the end of the day. I honestly don’t know how Shawn does what he does, actually getting on stage and performing every night has to be exhausting in itself, not to mention the meet and greets, soundchecks, and press.
The crew has been very welcoming, but it’s hard for me to force myself to open up to them or let myself be included, partially because I’m so busy and exhausted with all the work I’m doing, and also because I’m just not exactly comfortable with them. I’m sure they’re all great people, and it really is just a personal issue, but it’s been hard lately for me to get out of my comfort zone any more than I’ve already been pushed by coming on this tour.
It feels safer to just keep to myself. I hate to admit it, but it also probably has to do with the fact that Shawn’s team is predominantly male, at least the people who I come into contact with most. Even though they invite me to hang out with them, I’m not exactly in a place where I want to be surrounded by alcohol and dudes. And hanging out with Shawn is practically out of the picture. Not that he’s going out of his way to invite me to hang out with him, but the mobs of people he tends to attract genuinely freak me out even though I’d never want to admit it out loud.
I find that most of the time I spend with Shawn, I’m hiding behind my camera. It’s my way of protecting myself from getting close to anyone here. I’ve never been the type of person to document everything, but all of a sudden, it’s my job and I’m clinging to the security of the camera more than ever I thought I would.
It’s our first night in a hotel since the start of tour a week ago. When we finally get there, I go straight to my room, excited to have my own space for the first time in a week. Its already nearly midnight. I thought I was exhausted, but once I get to my hotel room. The reality hits me that I’m all alone, and I can’t fall asleep. I guess there’s something comforting about the feeling of the bus bumping along through the dark on a freeway headed somewhere. I’ve grown used to the rocking of the bus and the tiny space in my bunk where I sleep pressed up against the wall. Now, the large hotel bed in the middle of the room that appears way too big for just one person isn’t as welcoming as I expected it to be. I thought I’d sleep like a baby, it being my first night in a real bed in over a week, but much to my disappointment, I tossed and turned for over an hour before finally deciding to give up on sleeping at all.
If I can’t fall right to sleep, I don’t really want to just lay in the dark. Lately, I’ve found it hard to sleep, especially because I find myself waking up in the middle of the night because of nightmares. At least in the bus, I can hear all the normal sounds, and I can quickly remind myself of where I am, of how far I am from where I used to be. I have never felt alone on the bus because I’m never really alone. Even though I don’t talk to the band a whole lot or see Shawn much, it is comforting knowing that I am surrounded by so many people who are all sleeping peacefully. I can tell because someone is always snoring. When I wake up from nightmares on the bus, I press myself up against the wall, trying to force my pounding heart to slow. As I lay there in the dark, the moving bus brings me comfort and eventually, my breathing evens out enough for me to fall back asleep.
Tonight, there are no sounds except the occasional sound of footsteps walking down the hallway and the muffled sounds of talking or doors closing. I turn the light on and decide to do some editing, since sleep seems to be off the table. Its nearly three am and sleep still hasn’t come. I’m feeling lonelier than ever. I know that most of the crew went out tonight, since we have an off day tomorrow. I opted to stay in, thinking I might be able to catch up on sleep since I haven’t slept well in so long. Now that I realize I can’t even sleep, I’m starting to regret not going out. At the very least, I could be drunk right now. And if I’m forced to be awake, I’d rather be intoxicated.
When I finally can’t take the being alone anymore, I grab my laptop, pull a sweatshirt on over my tank top, and head down to the lobby. Even if I’m still going to be alone, at least there are other people there. I settle into a sofa and watch tired-looking people come and go while I try to get some work done.
I’ve been engrossed in my editing for a while when I finally look up because I see movement. The lobby has been pretty empty for a while considering it’s the middle of the night, but I notice a couple. I’m about to go back to my work, not thinking much of them at first when the guy makes me take a closer look. When I do, I realize it’s Shawn and a girl I’ve never seen before. I know I shouldn’t be surprised. I assumed that he hooked up before, and even often, but I never really thought about having to see him and his girl for the night. I quickly look back down, hoping that he won’t notice me. Luckily, the elevator opens and the two of them disappear inside without a glance in my direction.
After they’re gone, I turn back to edit, but my mind is everywhere else. Of course, Shawn goes out and brings girls back to his hotel room. He’s a twenty-one-year-old musician who also happens to look like a model. I try not to think about it, but there’s a feeling that’s made it's home in the pit of my stomach since seeing Shawn and whoever it was he took upstairs. I don’t know what it is. I don’t know why I feel it, but I close my laptop and return to my room, hoping morning will come quickly.

sorry pls can you not talk abt c, because i like her and i HATE when i actually find writings i like (yours) and they talk shit abt her it’s so ANNOYING, you don’t have to like her but he’s dating her so.
So here’s the dealio, I’ve received multiple anons with similar lines to this one some harsher some nicer but the point is that I want to clear the air. If you don’t know I had a request -
which specifically asked for a “falling out when he had to do the pr stunt with c.” I personally don’t have personal opinions towards their relationship because they’re old enough to make their own decisions and be happy however they please. I tried to make my writing unbiased and I'm not here to spread “hate” or “talk shit” or be “fucking rude” about someone I don't know. My blurb, which is called Honey, was supposed to include angst and a “falling out” so my word choice is stronger to convey the emotions that I thought fit for a break up. i also want to point out that i made it clear that c would be mentioned relating to rumors of a pr stunt and asked that people do not take my writing to heart-

I've chosen to respond to this message and others, though they won’t be posted, because you made the decision to share your opinions anonymously and I have every right to share my thoughts on what you assume about my stance. If you feel uncomfortable by a topic I write about then don’t read it. I have author notes and warnings at the top of every writing piece to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe so please read those and just don’t read the ones you don’t want to read. I’m not going to respond further than this but I felt that I needed to get out so people can let me write happily for you. Side note I’m not going to be posting my next fic until I fully evaluate how I personally want to move forward. That’s all. I seriously love you all and you mean the absolute world to me.

Haven Port | Chapter Seven| Shawn Mendes
Summary: Shawn and his pack have moved to your tiny town of Haven Port. You’ve never met werewolves other than your dad before and you’re infinitely curious. You may be only half werewolf but you and Shawn have a connection that will send you on a wild romantic journey in this small town you call home. [hybrid reader] [werewolf shawn]
Word Count: 1.8k
|Masterlist In Bio|
Since the founding festival things have been going smoothly. The weather has eased up, the snow is starting to melt. Haven Port is beginning to see the first signs of spring, and with spring comes the ships. Triple the number of ships that you see in the winter months to be more accurate. More boats means more business for the shop.
Tia suggests making the shop a cafe a few weeks after the festival. She knows how to get permits and she is willing to help you run it. The only issue is money. You've got a little bit in savings but you're not too keen on taking out a loan from one of the banks in the city. Tia has savings too and she is willing to go in with you but ultimately it's your call. Making the shop a cafe will be a big undertaking and a huge change from just using and buying dry goods. You're going to think about it and sort out everything that will need to be planned.
It's a Monday morning and you head down to the docks to take Shawn some lunch. He's been working overtime since the weather has gotten nicer. You know he's been putting everything extra into savings but you don't know why. You hope he isn't doing it to help you make the shop into a cafe, you told him you wouldn't accept his help on it and the only reason you'd take Tia's help is because she will be a partner.
The water is choppy, loudly slapping up against the undersides of the old wooden docks as you make your way down the hill and across the port. Shawn works in hangar two, on the far side. You can see dark skies on the horizon, a storm that's churning up the water. Hopefully it stays out there.
You wave to a few of the guys you know as you pass, men your father worked with when you were a kid. Just as you pass dock six you see a group of guys getting off of a boat. Usually this wouldn't catch your eye, people come and go every day, but one guy in particular has your attention. At first glance you thought it was Shawn, but you're not close enough and why would Shawn be on a freshly docked boat? You speed up, trying to catch up with the group before they disperse into the crowds of fisherman and workers near the hangar entrances. No luck. The guy is lost in the sea of people. Maybe Shawn was just helping them fix something. You turn down the walk way and head for hangar two, if Shawn isn't there one of the guys will know where he went.
Hangar two is packed when you arrive. There is a ship up on risers being worked on and it looks terrible. If this thing sailed into port like this you're shocked they weren't towing it off the bottom of the harbor right now. You look around at the crew, defined by their blue work shirts that say dock crew on the back. There isn't a ton of actual crew but more fisherman than you can count.
"Hey! Cat girl!"
You whip around and glare at the direction the insult came from. You knew forgetting your headwrap was a mistake, especially when the docks are teaming with unfamiliar people. "Get fucked!" You shout and head for the office door at the back.
In the office there are a few of the upper management guys taking a break and you spot Bruce the manager of hangar two.
"Bruce, have you seen Shawn?"
The older man turns and smiles brightly. "Of course! He's on the port side welding a patch on the hull."
"Thanks!"
Bruce motions to the lunch bag you have in hand for Shawn. "No treats for me?"
"No, just for Shawn. Maybe next time? I'll make some cookies."
He laughs boisterously. "I'll hold you to it!"
You shake your head and smile before turning out onto the work floor and heading for the ship. If Shawn is welding that means he was not the guy out on the docks, so whoever you saw earlier was a strange look alike.
Sure enough Shawn is up on the scaffolding welding. You grab a pair of the tinted safety glasses and put them on before looking up to get his attention. "Hey!"
Shawn shuts down his torch and lifts his face guard. "Hey sweetheart. What's up?"
"Lunch." You lift the bag of food up for him. "Come down."
He puts his stuff aside and descends the scaffold carefully. "I was gonna go home for lunch. Bruce is giving me a half day since I've been working so much. He wants me to have some time away."
"Oh, I won't argue. We'd have the house to ourselves for a while."
Shawn wipes his hands on his jeans and tosses his welding gloves aside. "Sign me up." He wraps his arms around you and noses your ears. "It's about time we got some down time together."
"Check out with Bruce and we'll head home."
"Yes ma'am."
___________________
Nearly an hour later and you and Shawn are laid together on the couch at the pack house. You decided to change things up, to give him attention. So you have him laying between your legs and you put your hands in his hair. It's so thick and it feels longer since you first met but maybe it's just because you don't do this often.
"This is nice." Shawn purrs, rubbing his head back against your chest.
You scratch gently with your short nails and he groans, body becoming heavier as he melts into your body. "You like this? You like when I scratch your head?" You flex your fingers and he moans softly.
"I've never had this."
"What? No one has ever played with your hair?"
He shakes his head. "I always do the playing. I guess an alpha is expected to provide."
You snort. "That's some shit." You tug his hair gently and he growls soft and lovingly. "Alphas deserve to get as much as they give.”
Shawn turns over, rolling between your legs to lay with his face on your chest. "You're making me weak."
You giggle softly. "An alpha weak for a hybrid? Wow you must really like me."
"Iloveyou." He mumbles, rubbing his face against your boobs.
"Hmm?"
Shawn pulls back and looks up at you, face red from his groaning and rubbing. "I love you."
You cup his face and he crawls up so he is over you, face close to yours. "Y-you love me?"
He nods. "I've been trying to say it since we met but I've been worried about how you would take it. I know we've discussed the mate situation but saying it out loud is something entirely different."
"I love you too."
He leans in and presses his lips to yours. You giggle and he presses in harder, hands going to your hair. You wrap your arms around his back and grip, making him press down into you. Things get very heated after that, hips rolling desperately into each other and kisses traveling across your jaw to your neck.
Just as you're about to suggest going up to his room there is a knock on the front door. The sudden interruption makes your heart stop and everything feel cold. Shawn pushes up and looks to the door.
"Who is that?" He mumbles, crawling off of you. "Usually the others let me know if they're expecting a package."
You sit up and fix your shirt he had messed up with his hand under it. "Maybe it's someone who's lost."
Shawn pulls open the front door and you peer over the back of the couch. "Shit."
"Who-"
A man steps in and he looks just like Shawn, the spitting image of him like a clone just waltzed out of a lab. You have no doubt this is Shawn and Peter's other brother, Raul. He's got on a beanie and suddenly you realize that he is the guy you saw at the Port. He's the one you thought was Shawn getting off a boat.
"You're hard to find Shawn." Raul says and shrugs his coat off. "I just happened to come across Ryan and Lindsay and they told me where you were."
"What do you need?"
"My family." Raul pulls his beanie off and you let out a soft gasp that gets his attention immediately. He has ears just like yours but they're dark like his hair and much smaller and closer to his head than yours.
"Shawn, you didn't tell me he was like me."
Raul crosses the room and you both stare at each other intently, eyes raking over one another curiously. "She's your mate?"
"Yes, and Raul just didn't come up, I didn't think anything of it." Shawn walks over and stands very close, almost wary of his brother's gaze upon you.
"How?" You ask, looking between the two of them. "You and Peter aren't..." You reach up and run a hand over Shawn's head as if you could have missed them. "How?"
Raul reaches out and touches your ear, fingers gliding up the side delicately and you shiver, not hating the touch but also not entirely comfortable.
Shawn stiffens up beside you.
"Our parents are an alpha and a hybrid. I got the hybrid and human genetics and the other two didn't. Luck of the draw I guess, it could have been much worse considering we're triplets. You're stunning by the way, I haven't seen many hybrids look as gorgeous as you."
"Thanks?" You step closer to Shawn as he wraps his arm around you and Raul pulls his hand away from your ear.
"Why are you here again?" Shawn asks, changing the subject.
"This." Raul lifts his sweater and reveals a large bandage around his middle. "Hunters tried to kill me in my apartment and I got away but a bullet got me in the side." He drops his shirt. "I figured being with my brother would be safer than being alone."
"Brothers. Peter is here too." Shawn says and Raul's face lights up. "He brought a wolf with him, but the rest of his pack was taken down by hunters as well."
"Everyone?"
"All but Tia, but she found Peter after the fact."
"Shit."
Shawn presses a kiss to your head. "You're welcome to stay, but keep the flirting to a minimum."
Raul grins and winks at you. "Of course I will. I'm just curious, it's been a long time since I saw another hybrid."
"Keep your curiosity to a minimum then." Shawn growls and wraps both arms around you. "Now excuse us, we're having some alone time."
Raul raises his hands and wanders off toward the kitchen. No doubt you and Shawn will just cuddle a while longer and then take a nap. You know Shawn won't take things further with anyone in the house, but that's fine, your mind is elsewhere where now.

coin toss
Summary: There’s only one bed in the hotel room.
word count: 2.8k
“How about we flip a coin for it?” Shawn suggested. “Heads, I sleep on the floor. Tails, you sleep on the floor.”
“No!” she protested, strongly resisting the urge to whack her best friend across the face, though his shit-eating grin made the task impossibly difficult. “The last time I agreed to flipping a coin with you, you cheated.”
Shawn held up both hands in defense, looking far too innocent for her liking. With a casual shrug, he replied, “I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.”
Her eyes narrowed in suspicion, hands resting on her hips. Shawn pressed his lips together to suppress the laughter fighting to burst out of his mouth.
“You wanted to flip a coin for the last chocolate chip cookie. You said it was heads, so you had won the cookie,” she said, putting the word “won” in air quotes.
“Air quotes unnecessary,” he interjected quickly.
“But,” she went on, raising her voice just slightly. “When I asked you to see the coin, you shoved it into your mouth. So, yes, Shawn. You cheated,” she finished, her index finger pressed accusingly into his chest.
Shawn playfully swatted away her hand and rolled his eyes dramatically. “That wasn’t cheating! It was heads, which meant I deserved the cookie.”
“Then why didn’t you let me see the coin afterwards?” she asked. She crossed her arms, looking smug.
“Does it matter who won? You got to have the last cookie anyway,” he pointed out. “If anything, I deserve to be upset.”
“But it was obviously tails!” she screamed in exasperation, throwing her hands up in the air. “Why else would you try to hide it?”
“That’s irrelevant,” Shawn countered. He rummaged through the pockets of his jeans to find a coin. “I know I have one somewhere, just give me a second.”
She let out a loud groan, moving to lie face down on the bed.
The two of them had rented a hotel room on the first night of their week-long road trip, a trip they’d been planning since they became best friends in elementary school. Except, when they showed up to the front desk, the receptionist handed over their key and said, “Room 312, one bed and a view of the oceanfront.”
She had looked over at Shawn in complete and utter confusion. After all, he was in charge of booking all the hotels they were going to be staying at. She’d never asked him before, but she’d assumed there would be two beds — one for each of them. Even Shawn was puzzled. When he asked if it was possible that the hotel had made a mistake, the woman shrugged and said matter-of-factly, “It’s what was listed in your reservation.”
Which led them to where they were now, arguing over who would sleep on the bed, and who would sleep on the floor. Of course, Shawn knew how stubborn she was, and that she’d insist on taking the floor. But there was no way in hell he’d let that happen.
“You’re just going to eat the coin again,” she complained, voice muffled by the bed, when Shawn nudged her arm with the penny he’d found.
“You could always just let me take the floor, and you could sleep on the bed,” he retorted.
She shook her head and sat up straight, crossing her legs beneath her. “Absolutely not.”
“Then, I’m afraid you have no choice but to agree to this coin toss,” Shawn grinned excitedly. “Heads or tails?”
She couldn’t believe she was actually agreeing to this. But it was hard to say no whenever Shawn grinned like that. “Tails,” she chose defeatedly.
Shawn flicked the coin into the air. They watched in anticipation as he caught it deftly and flipped it onto the back of his left hand in one smooth motion.
“Wait!” she screamed, her hands clasping his tightly together, just as he was about to reveal the outcome of the toss.
“Yes?” Shawn asked, eyebrows raised.
She pulled his hands towards her, so that Shawn wouldn’t be able to hide the results from her this time. That way, there was less of a chance it would end up in Shawn’s mouth. Her hands let go of his. “Okay. Now you can do it. And don’t eat it!”
“I won’t. Promise.” Shawn lifted his hand. The coin had landed on heads. He let out a victorious whoop, and bounded off the bed. “Alright, well that settles it!” He reached behind her to grab a pillow, and threw it unceremoniously onto the bare floor beside her.
Without even processing what she was about to say, she blurted, “Why don’t we just share the bed?”
Her words took Shawn by surprise, who didn’t answer with a witty joke the way he usually did, but answered instead, with a very timid sounding, “Are you sure?” He looked so much like the shy boy he had been when they first met. In fact, he had burst into tears the first time she said hello to him because he was too nervous to say anything back. She still liked to tease him for it, even though he clearly wasn’t nervous around her anymore. But her — well, recently, she’d been very nervous around him.
“We’re best friends, Shawn,” she said, though the reminder served more to comfort to her than him. They were best friends, after all. Why did the thought of sharing a bed with him bring butterflies to her stomach? She desperately pushed the image of cuddling with Shawn out of her mind, ignoring the way it made her heart race. She tried to inconspicuously wipe off the sweat accumulating on her palms. “Of course it’ll be fine.”
“I mean, it would be a tight fit with the both of us,” Shawn commented. “The bed’s not very big. I don’t want you to be uncomfortable.”
“But you need to sleep well. You’re driving most of tomorrow. Just sleep with me, it’ll be okay.”
“You’re sure?” he asked again.
“Positive.”
“Alright,” he finally agreed, placing the coin on his nightstand.
“By the way, nice shorts,” she snorted. She had bought the pair of shorts for him when he was about to leave for his first tour, so that he wouldn’t forget her. Of course, Shawn told her that forgetting her would be impossible. But she wanted to be sure anyway. So, she customized sleeping shorts with her face plastered over every inch of the fabric.
“Thanks,” he said with a smirk. “They’re very comfortable.”
Shawn turned out the lights, submerging them both into darkness. The bed dipped to the right when Shawn settled down beneath her. She moved to the left to make more room for him, except she shifted far more than she needed to, and nearly plummeted to the ground. Shawn’s arms grasped her around the middle, pulling her back onto the bed as if she weighed no more than the penny he’d used in the coin toss. When he let go of her, she started shifting away towards the edge of the bed again.
“If you move any further, you’re going to fall off. I don’t bite, you know,” he joked.
“Shut up. I just don’t want to crush you, or anything,” she admitted, though that wasn’t true. The truth was, she didn’t want Shawn to hear how rapidly her heart was beating. This was ridiculous. They’d shared a bed a couple times before when they were younger.
But you didn’t have a crush on him back then, she said to herself.
Shawn let out a chuckle, leaning on his side to face her. Even though there was still some space between them, the bed was so small that she could smell the scent of his shampoo. “It makes more sense for me to crush you, than for you to crush me. I’m a whole head taller than you.”
“It could still happen,” she insisted. “I could roll on top of you in the middle of the night by accident.”
“And what, suffocate me?” he laughed. “You wouldn’t. Besides, I would definitely notice if you were on top of me.” Even though it was dark, she still noticed some undetected emotion swimming within his eyes. Shawn cleared his throat. “Come on, move closer. You’re still in danger of falling.”
“No, it’s okay,” she replied. “This is fine.”
“I don’t want you to roll off. And that can’t be comfortable.”
“I’m very comfortable!” she persisted stubbornly.
He sighed, but before she could open her mouth to retaliate, his arm had reached over and rested itself on the small of her back. Shawn pulled her towards him until their chests were separated only by an inch or so. “See? You’re not about to fall to the floor anymore!”
“Shut up,” she repeated, lightly slapping his retreating arm. If it wasn’t so dark in the room, Shawn would’ve noticed the way her cheeks were burning. She desperately tried to silence any thought in her head involving Shawn that wasn’t strictly platonic, including the ones involving moving just a few inches forward to kiss him. She couldn’t afford to think like this, not when they were about to spend an entire week together. And besides, Shawn didn’t seem fazed about their predicament in the least.
“I’m hurt,” Shawn responded sarcastically. “I just want to make sure my best friend is comfortable, and what do I get in return? A slap. And I’m told to shut up. Multiple times.”
“You also could’ve let me sleep on the floor!” she asserted, causing Shawn to groan.
“Shush. You know I could never let you do that.”
“Hmph,” was all she said.
They lay next to one another in the dark for a while, staring at one another in complete silence. This was new territory for her; she always had something to say when she was with Shawn. It was why they got along so well — their conversation, and more specifically, their banter, had always come naturally to them. What she wanted to say was, you better stay on your side of the bed, Mendes, or I’ll kick your ass, but her throat was so dry she could barely speak.
“You should sleep,” he said softly.
“You should sleep. I can sleep in the car tomorrow while you drive.”
“True,” he said. “But I’m going to be bored if you’re not awake to talk to me. So, correction: we should both sleep. Okay?”
“Fine,” she huffed. “Promise not to crush me?”
“I promise, princess. Good night.”
Her heart skipped a beat hearing Shawn call her that, even though he’d started using the name ages ago.
She closed her eyes, but her mind was far from tired. Every few minutes, she’d open her eyes just a fraction to see if Shawn was still awake. Not long after, she recognized the slow breathing that indicated he had fallen asleep. She took the time to memorize the way his face looked, free from worry and stress. Her hand reached out to cup his cheek. Tracing his jawline, she wondered if she’d ever gather up the courage to tell Shawn how she truly felt about him. Then, almost instinctively, she leaned forward to press a kiss to his forehead.
A couple of hours passed before her racing heart slowed to a calm, steady rhythm. The nervousness she’d felt by being in such close proximity to Shawn slowly transformed into exhaustion. She was so tired that she barely noticed the way Shawn’s hand was rubbing circles against her back, helping her drift off to sleep.
Shawn most definitely was not asleep, but he knew that if he kept his breathing even enough, he could trick her into thinking he was. He almost gave it away when she’d kissed his forehead. He’d wanted to tell her then, to kiss her with all the emotion and passion he could muster, but if she wanted him to know about it, she would’ve done it when he was awake.
His hand moved to brush a strand of her hair out of her eyes, heart skipping a beat when she hummed contently in response. He wasn’t sure when he’d fallen in love with her. If he had to guess, it was probably the coin toss for the chocolate chip cookie. Because the truth was, the coin had landed on heads. Shawn should have gotten that cookie.
But he also knew that she was stubborn. Once they’d agreed on the coin toss, there was no way she’d take the cookie unless she’d won it fair and square, so he’d made sure that even if he won, she’d still get her cookie.
And when he did win, he had to make it look like he’d lost.
Chocolate chip was her favorite cookie flavor, after all.
In truth, Shawn started to love her way before that moment, but it was only then that he realized why he cared so much about making her happy. Because when she snatched the last cookie from the tin with a mischievous smile, wagging it teasingly in front of his face, he almost forgot to pretend like he was disappointed that he didn’t get the cookie. He almost forgot about the metallic taste of the coin still sitting on his tongue. None of that mattered if he got to see her happy like that.
(Then again, maybe he should’ve realized he loved her when everyone on the tour bus started to make fun of him for always wearing those crazy sleeping shorts she’d gifted him. Because no matter how much everyone taunted him for it, he brought those ridiculous shorts with him wherever he went.)
She shifted closer to him in her sleep, her arms encircling his middle. Shawn smiled at how fucking adorable she looked. She buried her face in the crook of his neck, every breath tickling his skin. Without even thinking about it, his arm moved to rest on her back once again, and it was only once he was holding her that he was finally able to fall asleep.
***
When she woke the next morning, she was incredibly warm. As she slowly regained consciousness, she became aware of how her legs were intertwined with Shawn’s, and how her cheek was pressed against his chest. She could also sense that Shawn was awake, judging on how he was lightly stroking her hair.
She opened her eyes. From behind Shawn, sun was shining in through the windows. Ocean waves crashed up against the sand of the beach. Shawn really did pick a nice hotel. He’d always been particular about where they stayed, though she couldn’t care less. No detail ever went unnoticed by Shawn; he had always been extremely meticulous about the places they went to. Gotta make sure you get the best, princess, he always said.
She pushed herself up on her elbows to glare at her Shawn, the realization suddenly striking her. “You sneaky little asshole,” she immediately said, though she was smiling.
“Good morning to you too,” he responded, pushing away the curls that had fallen in front of his eyes. His eyebrows were scrunched up in confusion, but he was amused.
“You did this on purpose.”
“Did what?” he questioned, feigning innocence.
“You purposely reserved one bed instead of two, didn’t you?” she guessed. “You’re so particular about reservations and vacations. There’s no way you’d mess up a reservation, and you’d never pick a hotel even remotely capable of messing up a reservation.”
A smile spread across Shawn’s lips. “I knew you were too smart for your own good.”
She shook her head in amazement, not even knowing what to say. If Shawn had chosen the bed on purpose, giving them no choice but to share a single bed, did this mean he had feelings for her too? Or did he just want to cuddle with someone? Did this mean anything at all?
“Stop overthinking,” he said softly, his hand lightly tracing the back of hers. “I was ready to sleep on the floor last night if it would make you uncomfortable, but judging from the fact that you’re not running away screaming from me right now, and that you’re smiling, I’ll take it as a good sign. Would you say so?”
“Yeah, I’d say so,” she replied, still astounded that it had taken her so long to figure it out.
“So I’m going to suggest something, okay?”
“Okay,” she said hesitantly, lying back down.
“We’re going to flip another coin.”
She groaned, leaning her head against his chest again. “Do we have to?”
He laughed. “Just this once.” His hands reached up to run through her tangled hair. “Heads, I take you out on a date. Tails, I also take you out on a date. What do you think?”
In that moment, all the feelings of nervousness from the night before evaporated. There was nothing that felt as natural as being by Shawn’s side, her hand intertwined with his, and her grin just as wide, if not wider than the one on Shawn’s face.
“I like my odds.”
