in one of the more extremely stupid moments of being me, i am currently waiting for the grey cup (it’s the canadian version of the super bowl for any americans following me) simply so i can watch the halftime show lmao

like i am literally about to put on a fuckin football game, of which i have never managed to learn a single rule of, just to see green day. i honestly wish i could’ve gone to the game just to see green day. also the festival would’ve rocked cuz one of my other fave bands, the dirty nil, played.

anyways, fuck sports (except baseball) and hail hail rock and roll

Silly CFL thing I did at the end of last season. Nathan Rourke was a treasure, and I wish him the best (and of course, hope that he might come back to the Lions, if it works out for him to do so)

I'm merely a casual fan of the CFL, but the 2024 Hamilton Tiger-Cats may be as shitty a football team as I've ever seen to win as many as 2 of their first 7 games, regardless of league. There's pathetic, and then there's getting destroyed 32-3 by halftime by a franchise that can't win a close game to save the lives of their wives or kids. One look at the fans is all you need to tell you about the state of the only CFL franchise to not have a title not just since 2010, but even in the current millennium at all.

It's Grey Cup weekend! The league championship for the CFL is being conested in my hometown, Hamilton, ON, between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Montreal Alouettes! And also, Green Day is doing the halftime show! It's WAY better than the Super Bowl. Who do you think will win? My pick is the Bombers.

I don’t know if this will land with anyone but as a wrestling fan and CFL football fan, in my experience being a CM Punk fan is a lot like being a fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, in that it’s rarely rewarding (but when it is it’s fucking amazing), you wish you could root for someone else because it would be easier, and everyone else constantly makes fun of you/tries to make you feel bad for being a fan of them, but you wouldn’t root for anyone else for anything
