It’s Day 316 of the Windy Wessagusset Wimple of 2024. The wind was out of the WSW at 15mph with gusts to 25mph at 10am. The temperature was 60°, and felt like was 52°. I used the Turqua color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to show the wind was out of the WSW. I knit in stockinette stitch to show the wind was blowing at 15mph. It was a surprise day of brothers visiting today. John came to conduct some business with Mike. It took awhile, but it went without a hitch. Later Matt and Mitchell stopped by unexpectedly to drop off some items that were Mike’s Mom’s that they thought we should have. There was a newspaper wedding announcement from our wedding over 50 years ago, and some stitched items I made for my in-laws. There was, however, a pair of embroidered pillowcases that she never used because they were too special and pretty! It is so wonderful to have these items to remember her. Be safe out there.

2019 Day 008: Splash

As in, a splash of color.  Red Heart Turqua and Black.  It was a pattern off of one of the skein labels.  I need to add an additional layer to the bottom as the stitches are loose and the wind still hits my ears.  I love how it turned out though.

It’s Day 311 of the Windy Wessagusset Wimple of 2024. The wind was out of the WSW at 15mph with gusts to 30mph at 11am. The temperature was 72°, and felt like was 66°. I used the Turqua color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to show the wind was out of the WSW. I knit in stockinette stitch to show the wind was blowing at 15mph. It was a sunny day in Wessagusset with some clouds in the sky. It was a very warm day for November, with temperatures into the low 80’s. It really felt like summer, and I threw open the windows, and I’m still enjoying it after 7:30pm. It was a quiet day, resting up after staying up way too late watching election returns, but not late enough to hear it called at 6:30am. At least there shouldn’t be any problems with a peaceful transfer of power, though the next four years will keep me on my toes. Be safe out there.
