OK I'm gonna do a more detailed "common mistakes" post later when I have time but there's two things I've been seeing ALL over my dash that have got to stop.

(a) Cannot believe I need to be saying this but you MUST stop setting elves on fire. Listen I get this. Fire is fun for you! Fire is pretty and I like to play with it, too! But elves do not like fire. Fire can and WILL hurt them.

If you're going to fire for enrichment: You can give your elf plants or rocks to play with! They will like these. You can also let elves observe fire from a safe distance -- let them decide how they want to approach! They have good self-preservation instincts and will not usually not keep touching something that hurts them.

If you're going to fire for warmth: you can always put your elf in warm water (make sure not to cover their mouth/nose), give them a warm food/beverage, or wrap them in furs! They will look very cute wearing a little jacket AND it won't harm them. :)

(b) I know mermaids secrete salty fluids from their facial orifices when they're feeling happy, but elves are not mermaids. If an elf is wailing and secreting fluids they are NOT happy! This response indicates they're stressed out or in pain. Please re-think whatever you are doing around that elf. And stop posting videos that encourage that!

HONESTLY a lot of my characters fit this but I feel like the most obvious example of this is in Cypress Michaels who, in her first inception, was a human AU of a literal demon imitating another character's childhood best friend who died, and would literally physically torture him about it. But NOW she's a human woman who imitates his childhood best friend, and is in a situationship with him.

It's plant bath day! On (most) Sundays I do housework. There's a lot of witchcraft involved: smoke cleansing, singing to the plants and blessing them for protection, sweeping, mopping, cooking, filling the house with positive vibes before having a dog walk and group hang out together in front of the fire later. Might even play trash pandas seeing as ours is home for a couple of days. In recent days I have taken greater ownership of my role in the house of all things. She wants to be a safe haven for people who need one, a leaping off point into greater things and that takes a bit more than just the usual cleaning. Houses have personalities they hold onto the energy given to them. Oh what fun! These gals are just the best! Today we went to the station & recorded the new radio ad that will run about our Old Fashioned Christmas. Peggy, aka Chim Kringle, Santa’s personal chimney sweep and standing in for Mrs. Claus herself, Julie (cause we all know the real Mrs. Claus is still in the north pole and getting ready for her big visit here). These gals were rockstars!! Knocked it out of the part in two takes! Bam! Just like that!💪 .
