How great would it have been to have Lila and Diego’s marital problems actually be that they’re both tired of normal marital life, when both of them are secretly getting back into the superhero / assassin gig behind eachother’s backs?
Like, ok Diego can still has his infidelity suspicion plot, thinking lila is cheating on him with five (which is fake. Didn’t happen at all. We all agree right?) but it turns out that Lila and Five are actually meeting up to plot, talking about old commission stuff on the downlow. Diego sneaks out to find them having dinner and he’s heartbroken, but it’s actually them eating takeout over assassination plans with files all over the table detailing how to kill someone without a trace, with pictures of alleyway vantage points and sniper rifles.
I didn’t expect this to end up being A Whole Thing but I had to write it out. Full thing under the cut:
Meanwhile, Diego’s been lying to Lila about losing his job. He hasn’t shown up for work in weeks, and recently got fired. Levaing the family financially unstable. Diego’s still showing up to be a dad during his usual scheduled times, but he hasn’t been paid in a while and both parents seem to be pulled away in different directions. And now the kids have begun to notice. This comes to a peak when one of their kids spot someone in their house at night dressed in black, and they tell Lila later that they saw Batman. Obviously Lila sees right through this and confronts Diego, who confronts her right back over her infidelity. Lila laughs in his face, because he’d have to be insane to think she’s ever do that, and with Five?? The barely-legal teenager who killed her parents? Are you stupid?? (Stares directly at the camera). But Diego’s hurt. He can’t get a clear answer on what they’re doing because she doesn’t want to admit she’s tired of being a housewife and wants to kick ass again. All they can agree on is that this isn’t working anymore, neither of them are happy, and they just hurt each others feelings.
So this fight ends in Diego storming out. They’re on a break. Lila is heartbroken, the kids don’t know what’s going on, and Diego throws himself wholeheartedly into being a vigilante again. It’s shown he’s fighting some shady organization that seems to have far reaching ties—related to Reginald, Abigail, and their new reset empire. Lila doesn’t know what to do, she gets some in-laws to stay over and look after the kids as she goes out to look for him (to no avail) and it ends up being the day she and five planned on their big assassination happening. Lila caves and says to five he’s gotta do this himself because her family is falling apart. Five is annoyed and makes a quip about how this is why he never lets romantic attachments get in in the way of him doing a job (stares directly into camera).
So five takes his sniper rifle and goes to the location early, where he’s positioned to take out their mark. Lila is out looking for Diego, and Diego is kitted up, on his way to take out these shady people he’s been making a case on, and intends to stop what they’re doing before they do it.
Anyone pick up where this is going yet?
Diego shows up at the location—a shady laboratory owned in secret by Reginald Hargreeves. The place is familiar. Diego slips into an alleyway. but what’s this? We’ve seen It’s the exact same alleyway but from a different point of view! Five is perched on the roof with a sniper, looking down at him. He gets his quarry in his sights and takes one final, steadying breath. This mission is going exactly as planned. The idiot showed up right as predicted. He didn’t even come with backup this time. It’s a textbook fish in a barrel. It’s almost disappointing how this couldn’t be an easier kill. But maybe Five’s glory days are just behind him. He puts his finger on the trigger.
Cut to diego and Lila’s house. It’s dark inside. Gracie and the twins have been put to bed and the in-laws are tired and in the living room. A phone rings, and it’s Lila, calling to say she hasn’t found Diego and is hoping he came back, but it’s not the case. Lila says she’ll be back soon and the in-laws begin packing up to go home. Gracie stands in the hallway, overhearing. To her, her whole world is falling apart, and she runs back to the twin’s bedroom in tears. She can’t believe this is happening. The lights are turned off in the hallway and the house grows quiet. The front door opens and closes and it’s implied that the in-laws have just gone home. Mum will be back soon, but the twins won’t stop crying, so Gracie gets up to get them some milk and cookies to make them happy again. She steps out into the dark hallway
To see a man dressed like Batman, in full fight gear. And she looks up at him with hope in her eyes, saying “daddy?”
Only surprise! It’s not, and they grab her as she lets out a scream. We cut to Diego as he reaches to open the door at the end of the alley only to find it locked, and realize he’s been set up. He spins around only for a gunshot to sound, and it cuts to black.
Lila comes back to the house. Finds it trashed. Finds her Inlaws murdered in horrific fashion in the driveway. Gracie and the twins are gone. And the little domestic life she and Diego made destroyed as we cut back to Diego, bleeding out in the street from what looks like a fatal gunshot.
Then five comes down from his perch to confirm his kill, only to realize what he’s just done.
So there. Here’s a dramatic, non-cheating subplot that has a similar amount of stakes that we could’ve had with season 4. Maybe Lila and Five end up going on a crusade for everyone to get their powers back so they can bring Diego back from the dead. Maybe this is what leads them to the subway, to mess with the timeline again, because as commission agents they can’t let go of the idea that time can be fixed and it isn’t theirs to mess with anymore. Maybe this sends Lila over the edge, and when trapped in the subway with five—she tries to murder him instead!! After all, he’s not only killed her parents, he’s now killed her husband! Why not have five scramble to figure out a way back for all those years while running for his life? (While a scooby-doo like soundtrack plays and they get all turned around and confused). Maybe Diego isn’t actually dead in the end, and it’s all a bait and switch to fool Reginald, who was watching and lines the whole thing up to fuck with them. Taking the kids as a deterrent so they won’t dig any deeper. But maybe in the last second before five pulls the trigger five hesitates. Maybe he doesn’t have what it takes to murder anymore. He swore it off earlier—what glory is he really chasing anyway? Maybe he recognizes the gait of the person in the alley and makes a non-killing shot to just take them out. Maybe he saw ahead that this was a setup by Reginald and made an agreement with Diego and filled his vest full of blood packets. And he fully knows Lila and Diego are both doing secret little vigilante gigs behind each others backs but tells neither because he really doesn’t want to get in the way of some stuffy marital dispute. Nooooo thanks. He had enough of that when he and Delores were together and bickering constantly. Five just wants his family alive and happy in whatever timeline they end up. (Chokes the spirit of Steve Blackman just a little bit harder)
Anyway, everyone else thinks Diego is dead; and all get together again. Weddings and funerals uniting them once more, and each of them reveal how life didn’t turn out how they wanted on their own, and they get to bond and unite to track down Gracie and the twins. “One last time” they agree, to be heroes and finally do something right. To save some little kids. Members of their family! Innocent ones, who don’t deserve to be caught up in their mess. And it culminates in confronting Reginald once and for all and destroying the ill-gotten gains he warped the universe in his favor for. And Reginald’s gone the rest of them can finally have peace of mind. Maybe the timeline genuinely gets better now that one monocoled megalomaniacal maniac isn’t in the centre of the universe anymore. The very thing that doomed the timeline before. And now the umbrellas are able to disband and go on in their lives as normal people in a timeline that exists with no favouritism at all. It’s all just what they make of it
(and hey! Maybe Diego comes back out of hiding and saves the day! And he and Lila both confess they want to take more active roles outside of being parents. And their kids are wowed by the fact that their parents are both superheroes. And it’s cool and awesome and I don’t sob at a very tragic defeatist ending of all I hold dear).
I don’t know guys. There’s so many different ways the final season could’ve gone, but not in a million years would I have chosen to make it go the way it did. That’s a whole other post—but in the end, I just know I’ll be entertaining my own little ideas for what happens to these characters I’ve grown and loved, and keep them alive in my own heart and AU story ideas. Thats the true canon for me, and the rest is just… fuss and marigold dust

I watched Umbrella Academy Season 4-- Let me talk about the finale. (And my writer's interpretation of how it should have ended)
As much as I love a 'doomed by the narrative martyr-dom' tragedy, that is not how you go about it.
I love stories with bittersweet "not everyone will make it out perfectly fine" endings. TMA. The Sandman. The Haunting of Bly Manor. Arcane. LotR. Not everything has a happy ending, and often it can be fairly satisfying in its own way. But for someone who likes tragedies, I am sorely disappointed in The Umbrella Academy.
Not in a 'oh I wished they lived happily ever after' sense-- no. No, it makes sense that the ending is sort of bittersweet because that's how the narrative was built to be. It was never going to be their perfect ending. Every season is just another apocalypse, another world-end scenario. In fact I appreciate the way they go out of their way to say it's just a vicious cycle every time they try to go back to being the same, there is no escaping the fates their destinies clearly have written for them, even if everything was quote unquote "normal". They were left without their powers. With a timeline where they are essentially human. And still-- the end of the world happened. Obviously something needs to be done, but it can't be all the way it was.
Here, is, personally, how I would have written the ending. Keeping the same tone, same aspects. But differently formatted.
Five goes through the same motions of realizing that he and his family are the one causing the apocalypses. Over and over and over. Not necessarily their existence itself breaking the timeline, but it's their existence as these marigold-fueled beings. Marigold was never supposed to go out into the world, let alone unto living beings. Timelines collide, and nothing ends well, as the universe can't handle its own essence being fused within living and breathing beings. It never has. So, it needs to be neutralized, so everything can fuse into one perfect timeline.
Five then goes back to the others. As a sort of veteran to the ideas of apocalypses, gives them their solution. And it's something that everyone doesn't expect. Do nothing. Let the apocalypse happen. Every time they've tried to stop it, it's only split the timeline into more apocalypses. So they need to let it neutralize itself.
But everyone is in disarray by this result, "Five, how can we just do nothing? We'll all die!"
And Five simply states that no. They might not. In fact there is a very likely change they won't. But they won't be the same. And everyone is silent as Five explains the situation. The Marigold, their father, the existence of the academy. It's all put them in these horrible timelines. Each one showing no resolve. If they neutralize the Marigold, they will restore the original timeline.
They won't die. More than likely their souls will still exist within this whole, original timeline. But those versions of themselves won't remember anything of each other. Living vastly different lives in different parts of the world, they might live their whole lives without ever meeting. They won't remember the times they've shared, their powers, their father, none of it. They will spend their whole lives not even knowing the words "The Umbrella Academy". They won't even remember there was ever any other timelines in the first place, nor that they were the ones who saved them. They would be no more special than any other ordinary people living their lives. No more apocalypses. No more despair.
And as the scene comes to a close and they all say their possible last goodbyes, and we have the sequence of all of the other timelines disappearing-- We are then met with our original timeline. We see all of the different endings for every character, living out their lives as they would have been if they hadn't ever been born with their powers. Each happy in their own individual way but the important part is that none of them have stories together. They are all living different stories, and have no memory of anything else. Obviously with "I Think We're Alone Now" playing over this montage.
And after our montage song ends with everyone else, there is one more person we haven't seen from-- bear with me on this last shot because it's a little cheesy, but in classic Umbrella Academy fashion. Our final shot is of a grown man in a suit, and it's not exactly said who it is, it's not a face we've seen before. Perhaps in a diner, as a call back to the famous seen from Season 1. The waitress with the name tag "Dolores" asks this man what he's to order. And with the snarky yet cool demeanor this man has always had he says 'I'll have the No. 5'.
And it is Five. Finally not trapped in the body he was. Finally no longer a slave to the apocalypses he's had to deal with ever since he was a boy. He gets to grow up. He gets to live. Once this man exits the diner, he takes his briefcase with him. Opens his umbrella to shield himself from the rain. Smiles. And walks away.
SCENE!
Am I a writer or am I a writer? Bittersweet, yet not horribly executed. Thank you for staying. I'd like to thank Umbrella Academy fans for taking your time to read this. I would also like to thank my regular followers who are wondering what the hell an Umbrella Academy even is. And if that is you, I promise you we will get back to our regularly scheduled program soon! But thanks everyone for sticking around this writers rant of a post!

the ballad of songbirds and snakes in the tua universe — basic info for season 1.
this is a little au i thought up with the help of the lovely @softie-rain and @diiwata !!
before i get into the character descriptions, the characters don't necessarily have the same relationships and personalities as they do in tua canon, just ones reminiscent of them (minus the allison/luther incest, which doesn't exist at all in this au because WEIRDD. no incest welcome here. yuck.)
okayy onto the info now!
the siblings —
panlo as number one / spaceboy -> his power being super-strength makes sense to me considering that i headcanon panlo to do the heavy lifting in his industry. i also believe him to be a good, albeit difficult leader. he's dedicated to being "number one" because its all he's ever known. staying up on the moon alone for four years broke him in ways unimaginable – he truly craves company. unfortunately, his unwavering loyalty to his mother (gaul) can make him do the wrong thing for the "greater good", and blinds him to the blatant abuse that both he and his siblings face. however, at his core, panlo is a good person. his loyalty to gaul falters and he finally realises that he is his own person beyond the academy. he's fiercely protective of his siblings and finally starts doing actual good – outside of the realms of gaul's controlling regime.
brandy as number two / the kraken -> district ten's industry involving knives was the reason brandy was my pick for the trajectory manipulation power – also the fact that she kills arachne with that very weapon. brandy has always been rebellious, killing her mentor is such a diego move. she does not stand for the abuse she faces and she's quick to call out gaul on their mistreatment. however, she has a soft spot for who she regards as their "real mother" – a robot built by gaul to tend to the children's emotional needs and care, dr. kay. brandy is a soul yearning for affection and real friendship with her siblings hidden under a cold vigilante exterior. immensely distrusting and skeptical at first but a great, caring person once she comes out of her shell.
treech as number three / the rumour -> treech is well-regarded in the fandom as a theatre kid performer, which is exactly why i chose him to have this power. he can persuade anyone just by using the phrase "i heard a rumour" but at what cost? what of his life is real anymore, who would he be without it? he's got everything he had ever wanted, a family of his own, his dream career; the whole world is mouldable in the palm of his hand. deep down, he knows it's wrong. he thought he had escaped the childhood fantasy of the umbrella academy, now he is back to square one. like allison, he's constantly trying to be a better sibling, to right the wrongs of gaul, but it isn't his job. he just needs some rest.
coral as number four / the seancé -> i chose coral to have the power of seeing the dead because of her relationship with mizzen. imagine this, mizzen dying at the age of sixteen, never to be seen again by any of his family except for her. the ghosts take a toll, and she falls into drugs and alcohol to hold them at bay – just the right kind of numbness to keep the pain of everything (mizzen's death especially) at arms length. she's uncaring of people's opinion toward her and unafraid to speak up about something if she believes it's wrong. her childhood fucked her up big time, that trauma combined with being tortured (by ghosts and commission agents) and losing her one true love (mags flanagan) in the vietnam war is enough for her to start trying to turn her life around. no more drugs, she wants answers from gaul on why the children were treated this way.
bobbin as number five / the boy -> bobbin is tiny & capable in the tbosas book – literal embodiment of number five. jokes aside - i chose bobbin to be the five of the story because he seems to be ready to do anything to get home – this is very reminiscent of five murdering a boardroom full of people to get his family safely back to 2019. they are both determined, always scheming and intelligent. bobbin knows what it's like to lose people – he's lost his whole family once over, he's never letting that happen again, come hell or high water, his family are making it out alive. also the idea of bobbin being able to blink (spacial jump) is cool as fuck.
mizzen as number six / the horror -> mizzen died young, we all know that. he died after losing his innocence, being forced to kill and being branded as a monster for it. this is reminiscent of ben's story, being forced to use the horror as a weapon and being the same as it in gaul's mind. they are both kind young boys who wanted to be something more than their situation. mizzen feels trapped whilst being a ghost – constantly trying to regulate coral's bad decisions, standing powerless, helpless on the sidelines. nowhere to go, no way to change (direct quote from ben that i thought fitted him.) he just wants to be seen, to be loved. to be able to experience, rather than endure. also the tentacle thing made me think of district four.
sheaf as number seven / the white violin -> sheaf, like viktor, is always underestimated. both small and "powerless", their whole lives they've been told constantly of how disappointing they are. how weak, how ordinary. sheaf is tired and angry and lost. she knows how everyone views her, and she's sick of it. she's sick of seeing everyone belong apart from her. a spare part. she falls for any kind of attention at all, even from somebody she doesn't truly like. androcles anderson manipulates her to unlock the powers that she has always had and she loses control. everything leading up to that point made her snap. she slits treech's throat by mistake, kills androcles and ends the entire world as we know it. good for her /j. in all seriousness, sheaf learning to accept her powers with her family is a big thing for her and feeling love, real love, helps her understand that neither her or her siblings were ever the problem, gaul was.
other characters —
dr. gaul as reggie / mr(s) monocle -> this one is pretty self-explanatory, she's the main antagonist in tbosas and has an obvious dislike for children. she has an interest in science and is able to invent new species using her knowledge in biology – much like reggie creating pogo.
dr. kay as grace / mom -> i like to think, like reggie knew the human grace, gaul once knew the human dr. kay and became fascinated by her. kay, like grace, is a scientist who develops too much of an attachment to her experiments – grace with pogo, kay with the jabberjays. i believe, once the human kay dies, gaul would remake her into a robot, seeing her motherly care towards her experiments as the same as motherly care towards real children.
harlow the monkey as pogo -> gaul would 100% be able to create a talking, humanlike monkey. the amazing @felixravinstills suggested that the monkey should be called harlow (as in the harlow's cloth vs wire experiment.)
pup as hazel -> he's definitely soft under a hard exterior. after all of those years of killing with vip, he yearns for normalcy. he also really likes donuts.
vipsania as cha-cha -> i love evil women!!! they're both competitive, vindictive and fight dirty. good for them!
io as agnes -> uhhh this was originally meant to be apollo, but i have other plans for both him and diana (wait till i post my lil s2 info thing!) but yeah i think io fits. she's silly + smart! she works in a donut shop! she birdwatches! she's in love with a man who's a time-travelling assasin! the usual!
sol as patch -> they just have those vibes of striving to help people no matter what. they're still in love with that one person who got them but didn't follow the rules.
juno as patrick -> uhh this was originally meant to be coriolanus but i have a different character that he fits. juno gives salty ex vibes. honestly makes sense. also i couldn't think of anyone to fill this role lol.
androcles as leonard -> serial killer vibes. some kind of connection to sheaf. all that.
mags as dave -> uhhhhh i want an excuse to write tragic coralmags sorryyyyy!!!
fabricia whatnot as the handler -> fashion icons who are terrible, horrible people. five & the handler's relationship is somewhat reminiscent of tigris & fabricia's.
chapter one of this fic is coming out soon!! the characters featured in season two/three and who they correspond to will be revealed once s1 is finished (it'll probably be a chapter an episode!)
this fic IS canon divergent, so expect some changes from tua canon. that's all, thank you for reading!

AU in which they all grew up with their birth mothers
Rachel gets excommunicated on October 4th, she's in her early 20s, has nothing but the child she didn't have until a few days ago. That's when her sister Sarah-Beth escaped and joins her. It was a hard decision, but she loves her sister more than anyone.
Sarah-Beth finishes school and becomes a mechanic. When Klaus is older, Rachel gets back to school as well and gets a position at the local governmen, helping adolescents how do live on their own after running away or being kicked out.
Growing up though, she worked at a nail salon. The women there were very nice and understanding, teaching her. Klaus found her job was amazing. She got to paint all day!
Rachel loves her new found freedom, a freedom she never thought she missed. But she loved wearing whatever she wanted, whatever colour she wanted. She didn't bat an eye when Klaus wanted to wear bright clashing things he liked. Let the kids be happy and be themselves.
But there were still moments. Moments when Klaus would be so afraid. He would reach out to her, but there was nothing she could do to comfort him except distract him.
It was during one of Uncle Levi's deathdays that she found out. Klaus was four years old at the time. She wasn't brave enough to go back to visit his grave, but there was a bus station a bit further away from the community. He would take her siblings, cousins and herself sometimes there and they'd just eat bread.
He tragically died due to a drunk driver, but the memories were nice anyway.
So she drove there with Klaus, with bread she herself had baked.
And while they shared and ate it, Klaus eyes widened out of a sudden, looking just past her. He couldn't look away and started to shiver.
He told her there was a man there. A man with a long beard and hat and covered in blood. He was missing a tooth.
She did not know what to think of this. She didn't tell him how Uncle Levi died, a far too sensitive subject for a small child. Did he see something he was not supposed to watch on TV?
But then Klaus asked if they had pumpkin bread, the man was asking. She hadn't, but it was Uncle Levi's favorite bread.
Then, Klaus backed away, his breathing starting to quicken until he yelled "No!" and grabbed her wrist. Right as she was about to calm him down, she noticed the blue glow on his hands, how it went around her and when she turned-
Uncle Levi was standing there. Just like Klaus had perscribed, except he was all blue. He started to flicker and she turned back to her son, pulling him into a hug.
After that, nothing could surprise her anymore.
Not when it turned out that he was immortal (a day which she would not like to repeat ever again) or when he showed her how he could levitate.
And so, it really didn't shock her all that much when a person just fell out of the sky just a few feet in front of her and Klaus, only for said person to spot her son and explain how they were sibling- adopted!- siblings in an alternate timeline and they really would like to go back there

Five: I’d like to propose that we all calm down and take a nap
Allison: the world is ending!
Five: when has it ever stopped ending? That’s right. Never. I’m going to nap now
Diego: you can’t be serious
Five: can’t hear you, I’m napping
Klaus: but—
Five: oh I’m sorry, do you guys actually CARE about the end of the world now? Not how it works buddy! You had your chances, you blew it, and iff you’ll EXCUSE me, I am going to eat a whole JAR of peanut butter and TAKE A NAP.

call me crazy but I don’t hate the umbrella academy season 4
#spoilers in the tags#like idk#Lila and five was weird but I could totally see 5 finally finding a partner and latching on too tightly#it didn’t have to be Lila ffs#but I don’t think it breaks his character to not tell Lila about the way home immediately#this is a 62 year old man#who spent a majority of that time alone in an apocalyptic wasteland#with an unhealthy attachment to a mannequin#and that’s not to belittle his relationship with Delores#my atl poster is one of my closest friends to this day#it is VERY easy to build an attachment like that to an inanimate object when you’re that lonely#now imagine five finally has a chance to settle down after 62 fucking years of constantly running and chasing a way to save the world#and the universe basically gave him a second chance to actually live#to be in love and be loved#in a timeline where there is peace#it is entirely human to want to hold on to that for as long as possible#regardless of what you miss because of it#‘they broke 5’s character’ is the weirdest take for me#because finding a way to regain control over your never ending eternal nightmare of a life#is one of the most human responses to trauma I have ever seen portrayed#it did NOT have to be Lila#and I will be forever mad that they paired him with Lila#but Five is not any less himself at the end of the series as he was at the start#he got to experience something a vast majority of the other fives never would#and that’s what makes him OUR FIVE#if our Five hadn’t had that moment of peace he’d have continued the same cycle of every other alternate five trying to fix the timeline#the umbrella academy spoilers#tua spoilers#tua season 4

In Three, We Have Everything:
Chapter update: 8th Chapter is out!!! 🥳🥳
Tumblr media
Summary:
Klaus needs to learn to control his powers, like yesterday, and what better place for it, tha the literal fairy tale dimension.
Five just wanted to relax after they averted the apocalypse... again, and healed the fractures of the timeline... again. And to top it all of, he got his hart broken, and might have lost a sibling. Even if it was one of his least favourite... it still stung. Travelling to a different dimension (again), wasn't on his to do list. What is one willing to do for his siblings...
And Chad? Chad just wanted everything to go according to his plans. Really is it too much to ask? As things stand it is, thanks to Ben and his rehabilitation ideas, and the Hargreeves siblings uncanny ability to stick to him.
All in all, nobody expected their life to take this turn, but maybe, just maybe... they might find something they wouldn't have in any other way. After all it's enough for a butterfly to flap its wings, and the other side of the world might get destroyed... or three people fall in love. It's really up in the air still...

Timeline #000 - “Pilot” Verse
Synopsis: When the timelines all disappeared at the end of season 4 instead of erasing the Hargreeves siblings from existence altogether, the little girl in the sky instead decided to combine everything into one singular “earth” (timeline).
Supposedly, it should be perfect. After all, She was kind enough to make it so 00.06 never died and 00.05 never ran away. The Umbrella Academy gets to grow up as heroes - they defeat the villain of the week and then move on to live their lives beloved by not only the citizens of The City but also the entire world.
Still, things feel…off. Every so often a memory not belonging to them will pop up or an object that shouldn’t exist will appear. Hopefully it’s nothing of concern. It probably isn’t. Right?
Explanation: This verse is heavily based off of the original pilot for the Umbrella Academy - which you can read here - and the plot of DC’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths”.
As mentioned above, it is a pretty heavy combination of different aspects of the show and the comics. The main difference is obviously Five never disappearing and Ben never dying but there are smaller details that make up this verse as well, including:
The siblings having a mix of their comic and show powers (so Diego would have Trajectory Manipulation + Infinite Breath, Allison would have her reality manipulation, Ben would hypothetically be able to summon other creatures with the portals his body makes, etc.)
There would be actual supervillains (such as Dr. Terminal + Murder Magician) alongside the Commission as antagonists.
“Mom” being more like her comic counterpart as the actual Grace lived a normal life.
Reginald’s “inventions” actually being a significant part of the siblings’ lives and the general environment of the Academy.
Modern Technology existing.
Alongside many other things (it’s heavily RP dependent).
I mainly roleplay this verse with versions of the siblings that are either teens/young adults (18-21) or the versions of them that can be found in the original pilot -  but once again that can be dependent on the type of roleplay and my partner’s own preferences.
This is one of the “verses” (alongside Show + Comic canons, Combined Umbrella + Sparrow, and general crossovers) that I’m always willing to do. Feel free to take it and use it for your own RPs if you want. If you’re ever interested in doing a roleplay in this “verse” with me specifically or if you have any questions about it, feel free to reach out - I’m always happy to expand on some details/explore possible avenues of a roleplay!

My TUA S4 teaser trailer notes/thoughts
-The Academy in this timeline/alternate universe is "Hargreeves Home for Wayward Boys"
-Diego has a daughter??
-Luther puts on a spacesuit?
-Luther has gained back his simian physique
-Ben and Diego seem to be buddies!
-Diego is pumped to be a team again and going on a mission! Hurray!
"Let's go kill this bitch!!"
.....
"This is a rescue mission"
.....
"Right..."
-Lila and Five seem to be doing more Commission stuff and time traveling
-The name patch on Luther's vest says "Fred"
-Viktor beats up Ben
-In the scene of Viktor beating up Ben, Luther is wearing a robe that says "Space Boy"
-There are a handful of scenes in the trailer that involved Christmas decorations (Santa with a gun??)
-Five comforting a crying Lila in the subway :[
-Reginald has some weird bullshit machine again that we see Allison and Diego get strapped into
-Diego and Luther brotherly bonding!
-It appears that most get their powers back, but they are altered/different in some way....
-Based on the trailer, S4 will be great I'm calling it now
