some jentry cheng au doodles, i realized i forgot to mention that living in diyu means jentry's powers are somewhat suppressed (she's not aware of this) so in order to do the same things she is able to do in canon, she always has to use up a lot of strength and energy, pushing herself twice as hard -- it takes her a very long time to master her powers

Part of the thing that makes Five being 58 in a 13-year-old body so awful is just... the loss of freedom.

Sure, his siblings know he's an adult, but the rest of the world doesn't. So the apocalypse is over. Ok. Now what? He can't get a job, isn't able to get a place of his own, doesn't look old enough to drive, he can't even buy himself a drink.

So, what does that mean? Is he 58 years old and suddenly reliant on his siblings for all these things he should be able to do on his own? Is that it? Is that his life now?

I'd hate it too.

Literally my biggest peeve. Maybe I’m selfish but we deserved one episode of every sibling duo idc

also?? Out of all 7 of them Five and Allison had arguably the absolute most range/potential for a really really good plot or side plot together LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

Allison’s a mother and has almost always put that before everything else throughout the show. And in s1, she very recently lost custody of her daughter, the literal fuel for her life. Then her dad dies. And THEN, to shake things up even more, her brother, who disappeared 17 years ago, comes back. Looking exactly the same. Like a little kid. Like another little kid she’d lost!!!! Hello!!!!! I don’t exactly think she’d consciously try and mother him, especially with how much he’d hate that and how prickly they both are, but I really do think she harbors a bit of maternal instinct around him due to his physical appearance. Which is devastating. Personally.

Allison is also one of the first people who truly believes Five in s1, in his paranoia and skepticism and takes it seriously. she’s one of the first people to actually listen to what he has to say. And!! To worry/ACTUALLY GAF about what he’s doing!!!! and they have so many little interactions to the point where they’re basically teasing us. Like! the conflict in s3. It wasn’t a main focus because the writers hate me specifically but it was still consistent throughout the season, through little spats they’d get into to Five finding out about her deal to Five taking her place in oblivion. I cannot believe they didn’t expand on those two

I’m so upset we barely ever got ANY Five and Allison scenes… all their interactions were in a room with other characters and mostly off handed comments. I wish we had a scene, just the two of them, having a genuine conversation :(

The closest we got is when they make fun of Diego for jumping through the door in S1 but even then it’s not just them in the scene…

don't think about number 5 talking to dolores like a child would talk to their plushies. don't think about him setting up dolores to look like a real person like a child would with dolls. dont think about him pretending she can talk back cause he's just a scared lonely kid who needs a friend.
