A parte mais importante antes de começar a editar é a de angariar inspiração, tanto dentro do mundo dos capistas, como fora dela. Especialmente em design e começar a procurar estilo/grafismos que fazem sentido com a tua estética e com o teu senso artístico, que é único e especial em cada um de nós.

O 99designs tem um guia interessante onde mostra e explica muitos estilos. Também podes pesquisar no Shillington e ver as sugestões deles.

E uma pequena pesquisa no google e tens logo acesso a muita informação:

Agora que tens este trabalho de base feito e foste observando aquilo que mexe contigo, é muito mais fácil procurar material para as tuas edições. Porque agora tens acesso a palavras chave que irão direcionar-te corretamente nas pesquisas.

No meu caso especifico, eu sou fã de maximalismo, design psicadélico, arts & craft, punk e abstracionismo.

Ou seja, a minha pesquisa inclui palavras como "abstract background" (fundo abstrato), "collage material" (material de colagem), "neon textures" (texturas neon), "funky patterns" (padrões engraçados), que, se fores a ver, são maneiras de descrever os estilos que gosto.

O DeviantArt é muito útil para encontrar material, não so pesquisando diretamente por ele, mas ao procurares outros artistas com trabalhos publicados. Frequentemente os recursos são linkdados no perfil, ou estão nos favoritos da conta. E, se fores como eu, vais acabar num rabbit hole e ficar três horas a fazer download de material.
