I shall always remember those past days of my childhood, those days where something...

I dont really remember My childhood that much but i remember that i had parents that were kind and loving, I grew up in a small town near a huge forest where I always used to play in! It was very fun!

I used to play there from when the sun came up until the soon went down, I've always had a thing for forests I guess. I made many memories there!

But one memory shall always stand out for me. I remember it was a beautiful spring day I was playing in the grass as a normal seven year old would.

Until a man approached me.The man asked me kindly "Hi there little one I was wondering if you have seen a dove fly by?" His voice was calm and gentle he was dressed in a long white gown and his yellow eyes that shined bright...

He didn't look human at a all but I still answered him."Uh no sir I haven't seen a dove fly by..." "Ah, what a shame" he said and smiled gently, but then he asked "Whats your name? How old are you?"

"Huh?.. well im Malkim im seven!" "Seven? You're a baby why are you here All alone!? Where are you're parents?" "My parents?.. well they are at work" "Oh dear. Well we should get you home Come on. Why don't I follow you home?" "Oh uhm..sure?.."

Then that mysterious man ended up following me home dropping me off, but after I meet him there would always be two white Doves that would just sing all day plus they would follow my parents around everywhere they went...I never knew why.

But then...

one day, when I came home from playing in the forest I saw my house, it was in flames. The house I grew up in was set in flames...

But there was something off, the two doves that always used to be there...were dead..? They burned in the fire just like my parents did...

"Oh dear what happened here..?"A familiar voice said it was the same young man I meet some days ago..."I dont know...i just came home and and!-" i said my voice was trembling, for the first time in years I was crying..it hurt

"Ah, that's terrible my child. Please don't cry. Why don't you come home with me? I'll take good care of you"

...

That day the strange man named "Dove" took me in as his own... And after that everything became a nightmare."Dove" promised to take care of me but he didn't...

He ended up experiencing on me I still dont why but It hurt. It hurt bad I felt like I was being burnt Alive... i didnt even feel human anymore. He's evil and he knows it. He's a terrible person I hate him more then anything.

After four years of pure torture i ended up finding a way to escape that terrible "Dove". I finally felt free it was felt amazing i loved it...

And I ended up meeting the love of my life...

His name is Harper he's a beautiful boy and I love him so much! I wanna spend the rest of my life with him.

I love him.

My opinion about Malkim is that i think he's becoming a fav oc now. But Dove is still over him ig. I was actually gonna put human trafficking in this but nah. Doesn't mean that Dove has done that tho.

So, this is Tsuki Hikaru, aka the Starlit Sonata (people refer to her just by "Sonata" tho, the starlit part is optional). She didn't start out as a magical girl, hell I wouldn't have even considered her main character when I first conjured her up. Waaaayyy back in like, 2018(?), Tsuki was the bitchy twin sister of my primary danganronpa oc, Junko (who I think was just "Jun" at the time? side tangent sorry. also a lot of my ocs started out as dr ocs, i just realized). They had a horrible relationship and Tsuki was all high and mighty about being the favorite child and neither of them were happy about the fact that they were related. But that's long in the past because nowadays in this story they have a very good relationship and are Besties!!! or they were before Junko died tragically a little before the events of the plot began. Sad.

(^ girl who haunts the narrative) (also just realized i don't have any drawings of them actually together??? wack) (also also a detail that I want to people to notice is that they each have one half of one of those bff heart necklaces that you can put together. i thought it would be cute)

Anyway. With regards to Sonata, her space-theming really only extends to night-sky theming. She's all stars and moons and glittery sparkles. The girl literally glows in the dark. i like to imagine she has special effects that go off when she moves. like she'll be magically skating around and she'll leave behind a trail of sparks as she glides around- probably has the ability to just summon a bunch of stardust that she throws in people's eyes like it's attack glitter. This is all kinda funny considering her powers are mainly ice-themed? she's got ice powers, no correlation with her outfit other than the color Blue.

Tsuki is a very cheery and friendly person who, despite having experienced many tragedies in her life (the loss of her identical twin + the earlier death of her parents), always tries to be optimistic. She's very emotionally-intelligent and understanding. She has the typical cartoon friend group of like, her 3 closest friends in the world and nobody else. There's Skye, Donovan, and Chaoxiang. The latter being the childhood best friend bi4bi love interest who is also incredibly integral to the overarching plot that I will not mention here bc it is late and i am Tired.

After gaining her powers, she sees becoming a hero as the next logical step. Like, to her it's sort of an obligation. She has the ability to save people, so she has to save people. She's literally the only person on the planet (which i should mention is Not earth. long story short it exploded humans left in ships for new worlds, one went off course and landed up on [placeholder planet name] and assimilated so well with the local population it was like they had always been there) who can fight against the monsters that have been showing up and wrecking havoc. Also, I want to mention that I'm going with the trope of "regular people become Corrupted by evil object and the hero has to beat it out of them in order to save them" bc it slaps what can I say. Tsuki's out here strangling a demonic dog creature with a whip (which is the weapon she can summon from nothing) and after a bit a shard pops out of its head and it just, poofs back into being a regular dog person.

This is all very disjointed bc I am Tired but I would be glad to answer any more questions!!! Actually talking to someone about this would be a great way to like, come up with a solid plot bc right now it's mostly "would that be cool or what"

i, well, this requires explanation since i got too deep into this AU that probably nobody knows about

i guess the tl;dr is "zwijo gets turned into a vampire and yudias is recruited as a vampire hunter on behalf of (human!)zwijo in exchange for zwijo's protection (the actual one)." for the sake of this AU consider the human and alien ones to be different people, and they're all "human." there aren't aliens here.

yes, this is a "crossover" (more like an AU) but not with what you probably think it is. it's from 1dolmaster: m1llion l1ve, specifically from one of the plays/(musicals?) they do within the game/drama cd, the group gr4c&e n0cturne performs kur4ki hoshi t0oi tsuki.

to sum it up it's about the tensions between vampires and humans. there are two halves to this story, one about the vampires and one about the vampire hunters. this AU is just about the vampire hunters. the last pic is a summary of my AU. but im wondering if it makes sense LOLOL

btw: i didn't draw yudias' face markings but i drew zwijo's. and you may think it's a mistake and, yeah it was. maybe in this AU vampires are the only ones with them? not!zwijo probably hides them since he is a vampire and has some magic powers...

...not!yudias and not!zwijo have names but i can't think of them.

i guess this is either zwiyudi or zwizwiyudi... zwiyudizwiyudi idek LOLOL. i actually only thought of it as alien!zwijo/alien!yudias but it probably looks more like human!zwijo/alien!yudias. either way is fine i guess.

also, for this i went with the more canon compliant (to the drama) version, where in all 4 of these people are different people. but there's also the other interpretation of, "okay, what if both zwijos/yudias are the same people?" maybe after not!yudias died, he was later reborn as yudias... (i think actually some people have this as a theory for the original drama's characters, so this could be true.) and maybe zwijo was a vampire all along, and disguised himself as the margrave (aka human!zwijo) to manipulate yudias into becoming a vampire hunter. it's an AU, so i guess he could be more evil like that...

• Golden Sakura Petals: ↬ Rosalie has a kekkei genkai. It is where golden sakura petals are infused with her healing and earth capabilities. The notion can heal any wound instantly. However, this ordeal will heavily impact her, leaving her out of commission for a while.

• Crystal Prison: • To comment, Rosalie can do other crystal formations. ↬ It’s much like Gaara’s Sand Binding Coffin, but with crystals. The opponent rarely lives and it takes a considerable amount of chakra. • Blood Crystallization: ↬ Rosalie can stop bleeding by using this concept. Nonetheless, this is primarily used for healing aspects. She can use it for negative connotations if she wishes.

Gods: Filing off the Serial Numbers (Worldbuilding 1)

Greetings. I'm Jack Kellum, @JackGogsbane over on Twitter. This is the first installment of a series on worldbuilding, from my particular point of view.

From my perspective, one of the most important foundations of a world, whether for fiction or gaming, is its religion. In settings where such things are unknown and unknowable, the religion tells us a lot about what the people of that setting find important. In settings where the gods are objectively, provably real...the religion can tell us a lot about the world itself. What kind of world would those gods make, and administer?

So starting with the gods, in a setting where they are worshiped, and especially a setting where they truly exist, can be a great first step. But devising a whole pantheon of gods, with their own personalities, mythology, and interactions, can be daunting. It can be difficult to make gods that feel real, that inspire, that are gripping. But there's an easy solution to that.

In short, use gods that already exist. I'm not talking about the gods people invented for their worlds. I'm talking about gods humans really worshiped at one point. They come with complicated backstories, interpersonal relationships, and stories that illustrate those. Sadly, they also come with baggage, unintended implications etc. So what do we do?

We file off the serial numbers. Find mythological gods that resonate with you. That feel like how people might actually see their purviews in the world you envision. They don't even have to be from the same pantheon. Imagine, for instance, how Thor as a storm god might interact with, say, Nergal, as a sun god, or Amaterasu. An important part here, though, is changing the names. (Sometimes. If you want a straight up Viking game or setting, use the Aesir as is.) But for a lot of fictional and game worlds, you want consistent naming conventions between the gods (though they might have different names in different places), because you really only need one pantheon. If the gods are real, it can mess with suspension of disbelief to have two or more sun gods. Which one is really in charge?

So. Assume we have one pantheon, made up of your favorite gods. We might use the following, say, Thor for the storm god and god of strength, Nergal as the sun god, Geb as the earth god. If we have a male earth god, let's make the ocean and the sky female, giving us Tethys and Asherah, respectively. Throw in Brigit as a goddess of fire, craft, and healing. We'll need a moon or night deity, we could go a bit further afield here from the Sumerian, Egyptian, Norse, Greek, and Egyptian, to say, Japanese. Genderbend the moon god Tsuki-Yomi to a female or nonbinary (not a huge stretch, because accounts differ on the god already), and you have a somewhat uncivilized unpredictable moon. Grab Inari for another nonbinary, and you have a marvelous fox/rabbit/shapeshifter/trickster god.

What kind of a world does that give us? Well, Thor and Asherah would probably be married. People would call on An to sooth his temper, but in general the sky gods would be beneficent protectors, especially from otherworldly threats. Geb might be paired with Tethys, and both would be worshipped for fertility and prosperity. Tethys would be the feared one of that pair. Not everyone is married, though. Let's say Nergal and Brigit are siblings. Also, since Nergal is a god of disease and harsh sun, he and his sister, the goddess of healing and fire, would be generally opposed. Tsuki-yomi is mysterious, and becomes a patron of magic, while Inari is beloved, a trickster who brings food and fertility. Only Nergal is possibly 'evil', although even he may actually only be a harsh judge. Mostly folks don't worship gods they see as evil. But those gods are in the religion. So Nergal if is harsh but not evil...what god do we have representing evil, then? You'll note that while Thor is a warrior's god...he isn't a god of war. Maybe, like the Greeks, the people of our setting see war as inherently evil. In that case, we could do worse than grabbing Ares as the BBEG of the religion.

Nergal, as the harsh male sun god, suggests a land where the sun is shining often enough, and warmly enough, that it is considered one of the trials of life. Tsuki-Yomi as the moon god suggests night as a time of mystery when anything can happen, but not evil by nature.

At any rate, with the above set of gods, I see a predominantly agricultural culture, probably more southerly than Northern Europe or Japan, because of the harshness of the sun. Maybe something vaguely Mediterranean. But we can get to that later.

So, let's assume we're building a pantheon like this for D&D 5e. We have nine gods, and we can figure out what their domains and alignments are. They don't actually have to cover all the alignments, but you do want them to provide all the domains. And in this same process we can chisel the nameplates off.

Let's use a Mediterranean sounding naming convention. The names of the gods might have been established, for instance, by a fallen Romanesque empire. All these are actually lightly butchered Latin.

Saevios, “He Who Rages” King of the gods, god of storm, protector of the world. Defeated the ancient demon-dragon. (Referential to Thor and Jormungandr as well as Marduk and Tiamat).His domains would be Tempest, and maybe War. He's probably Chaotic Good.

Caela “She Who is Heaven”, Queen of the Gods, soother of tempers, intercessor for mortals.Her domains would be Knowledge and Peace. (Sky gods are often associated with wisdom) She's Neutral Good.

Tellus “Lord of Earth”, master of green growing things. His domains are Nature and Life.His alignment is Neutral.

Marea, “Lady of the Sea” Mistress of waves and all that lives below them. She carrieds the dead to the afterlife. Her domains are Tempest and Grave. Her alignment is Chaotic Neutral.

Lunos, “Deity of the Moon” They are unpredictable and obscured. Their domains are Twilight and Light. Their alignment is Chaotic Good.

Hi. I has a small question... What do you believe was the mayor theme of AoT? Like for example in Evangelion the mayor theme was existentialism at it's worst (loneliness, the curse of individuality) what I mean is what do you think this was all about at the end?

I'm between "war" and "love", but I think there is something I'm missing, because for it to be "war" it feels almost redundant but also "love" feels too naive.

I hope what I'm saying makes a little sense, I like the way you read into these things

Oof.  There’s a “small” question indeed! And to be honest, it’s one I'm still asking myself.  What was it all about? What was the message that Isayama wanted to convey?

I’m minded of an excellent meta post that @tsuki-no-ura wrote, that I can’t lay my hand on right now, that highlighted the difference between a lot of mainstream Western media that tends to draw polarised distinctions between good and bad, and makes it quite clear who we’re supposed to be rooting for, and Japanese media which focuses more on characters’ motivations and actions, while leaving us to draw our own conclusions.  

I know in past interviews Isayama has said that he wanted readers to draw their own conclusions from the story, and in the spoilers for his forthcoming interview, he says “There are as many reviews as there are readers, and every honest opinion is right”.  However at the same time he says that some readers “misunderstood” that Armin supported Eren’s genocide because his storytelling wasn’t skilled enough.  So who knows.  If there’s one thing we do know about Isayama it’s that he’s contradictory to the last.  

In terms of my own opinion, I think the main themes of the story are the futility of  hatred and war, the power of love, and the dichotomy of fate and freewill.

On one level I read SnK as a cautionary tale about the dangers of hatred, prejudice and extremism. It’s a story about what happens when extreme power is handed to someone who is driven by hatred, and who has neither the maturity or humanity to care about the consequences of his actions.  Eren’s extreme actions result in slaughter and suffering, and perpetuate further extremism with the rise of the Yeagerists and the Eldian Empire.  And Floch is pretty much a poster boy for how easily disillusioned and disaffected young men can become radicalized and turned on to extreme prejudice and racial hatred.  Having said that, given the ambiguity of Isayama’s storytelling, I can understand why some readers take away a very different, and to my mind, dangerous, message.

The story’s portrayal of love is equally ambiguous.  Love is shown to be a powerful force, possibly even the most powerful.  But it’s not necessarily always a power for good.  Love can be unconditional and irrational, it can be selfish and selfless, and it can grow and flourish in the strangest of places.  People are capable of doing great good and great evil in the name of love, and love can be both tyranny and liberation.

Which takes us on to fate, free will and self/determinism.  There’s a thread on my blog where I chatted about some of these themes with @tsuki-no-ura and @recrudescent-ultima, both of whom had really interesting perspectives. My own take on it was

Regarding the dichotomy between fate / determinism and love / freewill, it’s always struck me as being deeply ironic that no matter how much Eren yells about freedom he is oddly passive and deterministic, while Mikasa, who he accuses of being a slave, is the one who has the courage and freewill to break the cycle of the Titan curse.

So there you have it Anon, those are my “honest opinions” on the main themes of SnK, though your guess is as good as mine as to whether any of this is what Isayama intended!

An Alternate Version of the Shuten Douji Most now. This Shuten Douji Has a Different Backstory .Even thought he Doesn't talk that Much about it .He use to be a Rather Handsome yet rather Cold Young Man whom the girls of the Villages loved to give Gifts and letters  to  hoping that he would propose to them .However  while he was a Flirt  at times Shuten Had no interest in Love at the Time(or rather he had no interest in Women at all)  and the Girls were Rejected Harshly . Shuten Has Said that He had hoped him starting to  put on weight  due to practicing Sumo at time would turn them away  but it didn’t.

All that changed when a Girl who Had really big Crush on Shuten Killed herself died of after Confrontation with  him about getting a reply to a  letter she sent him .Her mother Angry at the boy who Rejected her daughter  sent a letter to Shuten  along with  a cursed Tsuzura Box(a box used to Store Clothes) .Upon opening it  a Strange Smoke  rose from it and Fell unconscious.When when he woke up he was an oni. Confused at what happen Shuten tried to get help to reverse the transformation. But as Shuten tried He was meant with Followers of the Temple he was at attacking him, giving him no time to explain and Forcing him to Run.This Eventually cause the Downward spiral that lead him to Infamy as one of  the Three feared Yokai of Japan and eventually His Death at the hands of Raikou .

Shuten Has gone on to say his subordinates were mostly made up of Humans Cursed to become oni .

Shuten and His Raikou seem have Similarly tense relationship.Jugding by how Shuten kun describes Raikou as a runt and a stick in the mud He’s was short or just looked young and had a more serious personality than the Raikou Everyone eles know .

🏕️ Camping trip with Karasuno

As summer is upon us , could you perhaps do headcanons with whatever team you want in which they go on a camping trip for some *team bonding*. Who tent collapses? Who is the camping expert? Who straight doesn’t want to be here?. I so wish we could have another haikyuu OVA. I am loving the blog so far, keep up the amazing work.

The members spend a lot of time together but it’s mainly because they’re in the same team and they talk mostly about volleyball. That’s why Daichi and Sugawara came up with the idea to go camping, just the members and the managers, no teachers or coaches. They wanted to get to know each other a bit more while doing different activities. Everyone liked the idea (except for Tsukishima but he didn’t have any choice).

It was a Saturday morning when everyone got on a bus and headed to the campsite. It was a beautiful field near the forest with a little lake with crystal clear waters – like a piece of heaven. There also was a tiny waterfall and a small river nearby. Everything looked so calm and relaxing up until Karasuno came.

On their way to the campsite Hinata, Nishinoya and Tanaka were screaming of excitement. For them to stop yelling Suga suggested singing. They were extremely loud. However Kageyama was sleeping during the whole ride and Tsukishima was trying to ignore them and put on his headphones. Kiyoko was reading a book for school, Yachi and Asahi were discussing all the different animals they wanted to see during the next 24 hours in nature. Asahi even took his huge book with all the species you can find in Japan. Yamaguchi was looking through the window the whole time, delighted by the scenery. Daichi, Kinoshita, Ennoshita and Narita were playing cards and at one point they even tried to teach Hinata how to play but the poor boy didn’t understand a single thing so he gave up.

- At the campsite –

Nishinoya and Hinata ran to the lake. Yachi was right behind them ready to hand them the towels. Tanaka lifted as many bags as he could trying to impress Kiyoko which sadly didn’t work out.

Daichi saw that everyone went to a different direction and decided to end this mess:

‘Listen up everyone! We have four tents which means that there is one for the first years, one for second years, one for third years and one for the girls.’

‘Excuse me but why should I share a tent with the crazy duo? Can I exchange with someone?’ Tsukishima didn’t like the fact that he had to sleep next to Hinata and Kageyama who always had a reason to be loud.

‘I’m sorry Tsukishima but it’s already decided. Besides because of certain people’ Daichi looked and Nishinoya, Tanaka, Hinata and Kageyama ‘there should be at least someone in every tent who is responsible and mature. I’m sorry but in your case it has to be you and Yamaguchi.’

‘Hinata is the problematic one.’ Added Kageyama.

‘FIGHT ME KAGEYAMA!’ yelled Hinata at which Tsukishima sighed. He knew exactly why he had to be the responsible one.

The boys wanted to swim so bad but Daichi told everyone to set up their tents. To make things more interesting and exciting they decided to turn it into a competition.

Yachi had no clue how to do it but luckily Kiyoko knew. Their team was the one that won. The third years didn’t have many difficulties so they ended up in second place. Third place was for the second years. Their tent was almost done when Noya saw a flying moth and went crazy throwing his hands left and right. He accidentally pushed Tanaka who grabbed Narita and they both fell over the tent which caused them to start all over again. No one in the first years team knew how to set up a tent. Tsukishima couldn’t care less but Yamaguchi actually tried to learn how to do it by reading the instructions. Kageyama amd Hinata weren’t of much help because they couldn’t understand a single thing that Yamaguchi was telling them. Both of them were arguing the whole time.

‘This piece should be here!’

‘Hinata are you dumb!? It should be there!’

They were both wrong though. Tsukishima started to pity Yamaguchi for having to deal with two 7 year-olds, who share a single brain cell, and decided to help.

The losers had to collect firewood from the forest. Tsukishima was trying to ditch them but failed every time. Suddenly some bushes near them started moving. Hinata screamed and hid behind Kageyama.

‘Hey come out! It’s probably a mouse or something.’

‘Kageyama, why aren’t you scared?’ asked Hinata.

‘Nothing is more frightening than Oikawa.’ calmly replied Kageyama.

‘Ah... I guess you’re right.’

Tsukishima looked at the duo and added:

‘Nothing except the wendigo.’

Yamaguchi got goosebumps. Hinata and Kageyama were very confused:

‘What is a wendigo?’

‘Oh you don’t know? The wendigo is an evil spirit... a monster who was once a possessed human. It is hiding in forests... just like this one... and it’s waiting for someone to come visit it. Legend says that wendigos are very fast and eat human flesh.’

‘Haha Tsuki... don’t be ridiculous! There’s no such thing as wendigo!’ Yamaguchi was trying to calm himself down because he was really close to faint.

‘Yes! Tsukishima was just trying to scare us! Besides I am a very fast runner.’ said Hinata who actually believed the story.

The whole time while they were collecting firewood Kageyama, Hinata and Yamaguchi couldn’t help themselves but to look around for the wendigo.

Nishinoya saw the first years.

‘Oh they’re back! Sho come here the water is really warm!’

The boys quickly put on their swimwear and jumped into the lake. Tsukishima was resisting but Suga and Tanaka lifted him up and threw him into the water declaring he should have fun. Hinata and Kageyama were racing once again. They wanted to see who can swim faster. Tanaka and Noya were showing their swimming skills off to Kiyoko but she was too busy sunbathing and didn’t even notice them. Ennoshita, being the good swimmer he is, made sure that no one drowned. His job was extremely hard considering the fact that half of the team needed a babysitter. Sugawara was like an embarrassing mum and made everyone put on sunscreen.

It became cooler and the boys got hungry. Kiyoko and Yamaguchi started preparing food. They needed fire so Tanaka and Nishinoya once again wanted to prove to Kiyoko that they are husband material. The others were wondering why they haven’t given up already because every time they failed miserably. Nishinoya tried to start a fire using rocks but one of them flew directly to his face. Good thing that Kiyoko had first aid kit and took care of Noya. He felt extremely blessed and didn’t regret hitting himself with a rock. Hinata also wanted to try but he ended up setting Kageyama’s shorts on fire. He was afraid that Kageyama would find out so he hid them while he still could. A couple of minutes had passed and Tanaka realised that Saeko gave him a lighter earlier today just in case.

‘You had this the whole time???’ yelled Ennoshita.

‘I’m sorry okay... I totally forgot about it.’

While Kiyoko and Yamaguchi were cooking the three explorers of the group (Asahi, Yachi and Sugawara) headed to the woods searching for wild animals. Yachi took her camera and made some great photos. Asahi was reading his book while still walking deeper into the forest. Suga was dressed as if he was Bear Grylls.

‘Hey guys, I know this might sound a bit weird but if we don’t find the way back whose piss are you willing to drink?’

Yachi and Asahi looked at him in confusion wondering if he was joking or he’s actually serious. Both of them were later having a lively discussion when they realised that Sugawara was nowhere to be seen.

‘Asahi... where is Suga?’ asked Yachi very uneasily.

Both of them started screaming Suga’s name but there was no sight of him. Yachi started crying and wondered if a wild animal has eaten Sugawara.

‘No no Yachi please don’t cry. We’ll find him don’t worry.’

Suddenly a dark figure appeared in front of them. It was a few meters from them.

‘S-Suga? Is that you?’ asked Asahi.

The figure didn’t move nor said anything.

‘Come on Suga... it’s not funny anymore.’

‘Suga? Suga?’ Yachi panicked ‘Asahi I don’t think that’s him... ‘

The figure started moving towards them slowly but suddenly it got faster and faster. Everyone heard from Hinata the story about the wendigo that Tsukishima told him earlier. Asahi and Yachi were so terrified that they ran straight to the campsite while screaming their lungs out. A few seconds later they heard a laugh behind them.

‘Oh my god I can’t believe I actually got you!’

‘SUGAWARA!? IT WAS YOU ALL ALONG?’ asked Asahi still screaming.

‘You should have seen your faces! Oh god I love camping!’

‘I can’t believe you did that! Yachi and I were worried about you and you pranked us!’

‘Okay...I’m sorry but that was really funny. Wait...where is Yachi?’

Yachi was in fact still screaming and running to the campsite. When she finally reached it she told everyone that a wendigo had eaten Suga and probably Asahi. She was crying when both of them appeared in front of her. Everyone made everything they could to calm Yachi down. Her poor heart couldn’t take all this chaos.

After having dinner and Yachi got better everyone gathered around the campfire. Kinoshita had brought his ukulele and played while the others were singing. They ate marshmallows and shared stories of themselves. It was so much fun. They laughed all night long. Hinata insisted on Tsukishima to tell him more about the wendigo but Daichi forbid them after what happened in the woods.

It was time for everyone to go to bed. Yachi and Kiyoko were the first ones to go to sleep. Tanaka and Nishinoya found it impossible since their tent was near the girls’ one. Nishinoya was listening very carefully for every sound that might come out of Kiyoko and Yachi’s tent.

‘Hey Tanaka, do you think Kiyoko sleeps on her left or her right side?’ wondered Noya.

‘I don’t know man... what if she sleeps on her back?’ answered Tanaka.

‘Whatever it is she’s still very pretty.’ said Noya.

Ennoshita had a very confused look on his face. He wanted to share a tent with someone else because of the conversations Noya and Tanaka were having but he had to make sure that both of them went to sleep on time. In the tent next to theirs was the first years’.

‘Please Tsukishima tell me more about it!’ begged Hinata.

‘No! You heard Daichi!’ said Tsukishima who was already annoyed.

‘Pleaseeee I won’t tell him!’

Yamaguchi was very tired and told Hinata to just forget it.

‘But I can’t! I need to know more about it!’

‘I also want to hear it.’ said Kageyama.

‘Okay I’ll tell you... but then you’ll leave me alone!’ Tsukishima finally agreed because he also wanted to sleep. Yamaguchi wasn’t very pleased with how things turned out. He was really afraid of the wendigo.

‘Everything started in a small town. A couple moved there. The man had to go to work to the nearby town and on his way there was a dark forest. One night he finished work later than expected. He drove his car when suddenly on the side of the road he saw a hitchhiker. It was an average looking man. Since it was extremely dark and scary outside the man decided to stop the car. The man asked the other one questions but he wasn’t responding.’

‘Oh no why isn’t he responding?’ asked Hinata.

‘If you don’t interrupt me maybe you’ll find out!’ explained Tsukishima then continued with the story:

‘That man got so scared that he left the hitchhiker and headed home. A few minutes passed and he heard a weird noise coming from his car. The man went to look and there was nothing wrong. He got into his car when he saw a big figure walking towards him from the direction where he met the hitchhiker. He thought it was nothing but the figure was getting closer and closer with incredible speed. The man tried to start his car but he couldn’t. The figure was just a couple of meters away from him. He still couldn’t start it. Finally the figure was so close to him that he could see it. It was a wendigo. A giant creature with antlers and a discharged body. It looked hideous. The wendigo was about to grab the person when the car started and the man managed to escape. When he got home he told his wife what happened and she said to him that her co-workers warned her about the creature but she didn’t believe them. The next day the couple was nowhere to be seen. They have moved out.’

‘That was it?’ Kageyama asked with disappointment.

‘This is the coolest story ever! Tsukishima do you know more scary stories?’

When Hinata asked that Yamaguchi quickly suggested everyone to sleep.

‘Yes I know many more. But first I have to go brush my teeth. Yamaguchi you wanna come with me?’

‘I’ve already brushed mine. I want to sleep.’

‘No you haven’t. Come with me.’

‘Um... okay Tsuki.’

Yamaguchi and Tsukishima went out and Hinata and Kageyama were having a discussion.

‘Do you believe in the story Kageyama?’

‘Not really. As I said nothing is scarier than Oikawa and if I can beat him I can beat anyone!’

‘But this isn’t a person Kageyama... it’s evil and horrific. I’m getting goosebumps even by thinking about it.’

‘That’s why you’re the dumb one Hinata.’

‘WHAT? SAY THAT AGAIN!’

-somewhere near the tent-

‘So your plan is to scare Hinata and Kageyama... but why?’ asked Yamaguchi.

‘Come on it’s going to be fun. Besides Daichi took my mp3 player and I can’t even ignore them.’ answered Tsukishima.

‘And what’s your plan then?’

‘I’m going to pretend to be a wendigo.’

‘You shouldn’t joke about stuff like this Tsuki.’

‘Do you really believe the story? It’s fake. I read it online. Can you lift me up now?’

‘Okay Tsuki. Do you think it will work?’

‘Of course! You’ve seen their grades.’

- in the tent-

‘Kageyama did you hear that?’

‘Yes... it’s probably nothing though.’

‘I see something.’

‘Probably Tsukishima or Yamaguchi. Now sleep!’

‘Um...Kageyama... this is not Tsukishima nor Yamaguchi... it’s too big to even be Asahi... ‘

‘What? Let me see.’

Kageyama took a look and saw it! A wendigo! Huge and with antlers. The crazy duo started screaming and woke everyone up.

‘RUN! A WENDIGO! RUN!’

Sugawara came out of his tent and laughed after seeing the so called wendigo.

‘Guys your wendigo is Yamaguchi holding Tsukishima who has sticks on his head.’

Daichi was so done that he couldn’t even yell at them so he calmly said: ‘Why can’t we have a single normal day together?’

-the next morning-

‘Okay everyone time to go! Saeko should be here in a minute.’ informed Daichi.

Last night was a disaster. No one could sleep. Some of the boys were snoring, others were screaming, Asahi was even sleep walking and scared Hinata and Kageyama again. As a punishment for starting all of this Tsukishima had to take care of the loud members for a month without using his headphones.

‘Hello guys! Did you have fun? How was the camping?’ cheerfully asked Saeko.

‘Please not now... we’re not ready to talk about it yet.’ replied Tanaka which left his sister bewildered.

On their way back all of them were sleeping. No one expected that a calm camping trip with the idea of bonding would turn into an emotional roller coaster.

-at Kageyama’s home-

‘Why does my swimwear look like it’s burnt?’

Red Pens Pt 2 - Tsukishima Kei

AU: T.A → Co-workers

Word Count: 1.3k

*Same rules apply….I have no idea how teacher’s assistants work so if you do then suspend your belief for a bit

Pt 1 | Pt 2

You have grown to hate all types of writing utensils. Pencils? Evil. Markers? Devils. Pens? The spawns of satan. You haven’t written this much since you were in university and even then it would only be exams. 

You glanced over to Tsukishima, who was rubbing his hand.  

“You know this is your fault.” 

Tsukishima smirked, a small laugh escaping his lips. “What’s my fault?” 

You raised your hand and stretched out your fingers towards him, showing him the unseeable pain. “My hand pain. Your hand pain. It’s all your fault. Why can’t you just let them hand in their work online like everyone else? That’s why people made programs for this type of stuff.” 

“Computers miss things that the human eye doesn’t.” 

“Computers catch things that the human eye doesn’t,” you countered, walking over to his desk. 

He offered you your own desk, like his own, a few weeks after you started being his teacher’s assistant and realized that you weren’t going to quit and he had no reason to fire you. But you like this small desk that was at the end of the first row of desks that the students sat at, it was only a little way away from his desk and made you feel like you were a part of the class. 

Plus, the small walk helped you believe that you were getting some sort of exercise. (Which you weren’t)

Also, you liked the way you would still learn from his class even if you already knew most of the material. You liked the way he would glance over at you every now and then, and the way you would smile at him and he would give you a small smile in return, followed by a shake of his head.

It was a nice little dance that only the two of you knew the rhythm too. 

“Most professors don’t even look at the essays once they put it through the computer,” he complained, pushing his glasses up. “I like reading what my students have to say. A lot of them put so much effort into their work, spend hours, days or weeks putting it together. The least I could do is give back that effort.” 

He paused and rubbed his hand. “It’s worth it in the end.” 

You stared at him for a second. Despite how much your hand hurt, you understood what he meant and knew that he meant every word that he said. Maybe that’s why his classes are always full and that there were waitlists for some of them. 

You wanted to teach as he did. 

“What?” 

Your eyes snapped up. “What?” 

“You were staring at me,” Tsukihima said, taking another pen from the holding and clicked it. “It was weird.” 

You rolled your eyes. “My hand still hurts.” 

He smiled and his eyes went back to the paper in his hand. “You can complain when you’re done.” 

“I only have a few more weeks as your T.A,” you said, clicking your pen on and off. It was mostly to annoy him because you knew if you did it long enough he would take it away and would call for a break. “You’re soo going to miss me. I basically do all of your work for you.” 

Tsukishima looked up. You were marking tests this time which were much easier, so you had the time to annoy him. “You’re not the worst teacher’s assistant.” 

You rolled your eyes and continued to click your pen. “I’m an amazing teacher’s assistant. I get all the work done on time, I stay extra late to finish, and I get us coffee even though I know it’s not in my job description. You’d be uncaffeinated without me.” 

He got out of his chair and walked towards your desk. Once he got close enough, he snatched the pen out of your hand. “Stop clicking the pen.” 

“Does that mean I can take a break?” You smiled, already getting out of your seat. 

“You can go get us coffee,” he said, walking back to his desk.

“That’s what I meant. Getting coffee is the best type of break.” 

You grabbed your bag and started towards the door. 

“(Y/N)?” 

You turned around. 

“I’m happy that you’re not going to be my teacher assistant next year,” he said, not looking up from the papers in his hand. 

You deflated. “Really?” 

“Yes.” You stood in silence for a minute. Maybe this time you’d take your time getting coffee. Slowly, he placed his pen down and looked at you, his face blank, like his answer was obvious. “Yes, when you stop being my teacher’s assistant and you become a professor, then I can ask you out.” 

1 Year Later 

You were marking essays, a blue pen carefully balanced between your fingers. Unfortunately, this one was riddled with marks and your hand hurt. Your teacher assistant didn’t show up and hasn’t shown up for almost two days, so you’ve been marking over a hundred essays by yourself. 

You understood why Tsukishima fired so many of them before you. Maybe you should fire yours.

Why couldn’t they give you a good one? 

You closed your eyes and leaned back into the chair. 

“Meditating?” 

Your eyes shot open, the blue pen falling from your hand onto the floor. Tsukishima leaned against the door frame of your classroom, his hands behind his back and a smug look on his face. 

You narrowed your eyes. “Are you here to mock my hand pain?” 

“Not really,” he admitted and walked towards your desk. He bent down and picked up your pen, carefully placing it on the desk. “That feels more like a Monday thing. Today’s Friday.” 

“I’m glad that you know the days of the week. I think I should be concerned if you didn’t.” 

“Not marking by computer? You complained about it a lot. I thought you would switch over once you got your own classroom” he said, taking another few tentative steps closer to you.  

You straighten up in your chair. “I tried, but I think I like marking by hand better. It’s different and I’m kind of used to it thanks to you.” 

He smiled. “I have something for you.” 

“Wow! A present for me? Maybe I should have quit being your teacher assistant if I knew it led to presents.” 

He rolled his eyes and brought a box from behind his back. It was wrapped with red paper. You unwrapped it

It was a box of red pens. The same brand that he used and the same ones that you went through multiples of marking things with him. There was a sticky note attached to the back of the clear plastic container and you turned it over. 

Written in red pen, it wrote: 

Will you go out with me?

You looked up at him. He was, quite literary, towering over you. He had always been taller than you by a lot, but with you sitting down, he seemed larger than life itself. Something was different in the way he looked at you, but it seemed so familiar. 

“I want to hear you say it,” you said, putting down the box of pens and standing up. “I want to hear you say it.” 

“Will you go out with me? Someone who is not my teacher’s assistant and as someone who’s a teacher not breaking any rash rules made by me.” He paused. “Someone who I waited a really long time to ask out.” 

You smiled and took a step closer to him. “Hmm….I don’t know. Can I think about it?” 

“Seriously?” He said, but a small grin played on his lips. 

“It’ll just take a second,” you said, tapping your chin, pretending to think. After a moment, you said, “I’ll take it under consideration. I have a lot of essays to mark.” 

He grabbed your hand. “Come on. We’ll get something to eat and then I’ll help you mark them.” 

You grabbed your jacket. “Such a hot date.” 

“You know it.” 

You headed out of the classroom with Tsukishima’s hand in yours, throwing out the blue pen as you did. 

You’ve always liked the red ones better. 

I know that you probably won’t get a job a year after, but it would be weird if I did like “5 years after” cause Tsuki would probably ask them out by then and wouldn’t wait that long….

Here’s the part 2 as promised!! I hope that you enjoyed it! This was actually really fun to write and didn’t take that long to write which is weird. I think it liked this one better than the first one lol. Stay safe everyone - Kiwi

And at first I was like? WHERE THE EFF IS YUKI IF YOU GONNA DO ALL LADIES THEN SHE’S ON TOP OF MY LIST!

do you think eren’s friends are actually relieved that the ultimate evil to be defeated was ”just eren” and not some giant unknown with hundreds of adversaries? like, i’m trying so hard to understand the ending and everyone’s reaction to eren committing genocide but it’s honestly quite gross. it doesn’t help that those who’ve disliked aot because of its themes being misunderstood as pro-fascism, pro-imperialism etc etc are now celebrating because the fandom was so vocal about the ending being bad.

like have i been following a story i thought to be condemning war, genocide and fascism only to be hit in the face right at the end for actually trying to redeem eren and his actions because ~ he did it for his friends uwu ~ i did not sign up for this.

anyways i wish hanji had survived cuz at least they were very against eren’s plan. i think that might also be the reason for their sudden death. also the fact that levi wouldn’t have been livid at the truth, that he had to say goodbye to his closest friends, was guilted into saving armin because he was necessary for everything to go according to plan, put himself in danger constantly and almost got killed because of zeke like WHERE was the reaction to that? i know he was probably too exhausted and dejected to even care but still.

also i’m really hating the new eldia army logo taking the wings of freedom and slapping guns over it. like...c’mon.

I agree with a lot of what you’re saying here Anon. The reaction to Eren’s genocide is deeply distasteful, and his redemption is abhorrent.  There can never ever be any vindication for genocide. However I’m still not convinced that the story glorifies war and condones fascism.  War is shown as an endless destructive cycle and the fascist Yeagerists are not portrayed as the good guys, despite what some readers seem to think. I have no doubt that Isayama intended the manga to end on a tentatively hopeful note with Armin’s final speech:

 “When they see us all together like this.  They’ll have to want to know. About our story.  Why those who tried to kill one another for so long have appeared on Paradis to advocate for peace.  They’ll want to know what we saw.”

It’s a positive message. The big problem of course is how the story gets there. I’m minded of the meta post that @tsuki-no-ura wrote about the different ways in which war and conflict is portrayed in Western and Japanese media, where the aim of the narrative is to explore the motivations of the different antagonists, rather than pass judgment on who is right or wrong.  I’ve been trying to reflect on that as I attempt to get my head round this story.

A couple of other points I want to pick up on…I’m sure the crest of the imperial Eldian army is deliberately designed to shock and to invoke a reaction of visceral distaste.

I certainly agree that Levi would have been absolutely furious if Eren had attempted to communicate with him. He sacrificed everything to save Eren over and over again, because he believed that Eren was the best hope for humanities survival.  As Levi himself said in chapter 112, it’s almost like some big, awful joke.  

However I don’t agree that Levi was “was guilted into saving Armin because he was necessary for everything to go according to plan”.  If you’re referring to Levi choosing to give Armin the serum instead of Erwin, that’s not what happened.  For a start, Eren has no power to control Levi, he can not manipulate him or wipe his memories.  But more importantly, Levi stated quite clearly that he allowed Erwin to die in peace because of his own personal feelings. Levi didn’t choose to save Armin, he chose to save Erwin, by allowing Erwin to die.  That was the choice that Levi made, and it’s important we don’t loose sight of that, whatever else has happened since.
