It was just supposed to be a fairly simple time travel mission (or as simple as time travel can be anyway) for Peter. He'd be in close range of pre-Iron Man Mr. Stark at some high end party but he honestly didn't think anything of it. Peter wasn't someone who had to go out of his way to be under the radar, he wasn't noteworthy. He was beneath notice. But Mr. Stark did notice him. Peter didn't know how he had inadvertently caught the eye of his not-a-hero-yet mentor but suddenly his mission became sidetracked as he found himself unable to escape Mr. Stark's attentions. "And who are you?" "Uh, Peter P... Reilly. Peter Reilly, Mr. Stark, sir." "I'd say to call me Tony but I gotta admit, I like the way you say my name. Come dance with me?" "Oh... no, I couldn't, I wouldn't want to keep you from anything important..." "You're important right now." "I-" "Just say yes." "....Yes, Mr. Stark."

[Ever since the terrifying and unexpected Battle of New York, questions have arisen about the team dynamics of the newly-formed Avengers. Despite leadership under America's sweetheart, Steve Rogers, reports have suggested that the team isn't cooperating with each other nearly as well off the battlefield as on.

Sources attending Saturday's charity fundraiser, hosted at Stark Tower, have revealed that tensions were high between teammates Iron Man and Captain America, resulting in a disastrous argument that threatened the rest of the evening's festivities as well as their chances of collecting enough funds to cover the post-Battle clean-up and repairs to the city.

Multiple witnesses stated that interactions between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark had been marked with hostility for the duration of the event, culminating in the pair eventually getting physical with each other and knocking over the $10,000 custom cake designed and ordered by Ms. Pepper Potts to celebrate the Avengers' victory over the Chitauri.

This is certainly not the first time that Stark has caused a scene at a black-tie event, and while his drunk and disorderly antics are, at this point, expected, it is surprising to note that Rogers had allegedly contributed as much to the fight himself. America's golden boy was seen pushing and shoving Stark moments before they both tumbled into the buffet table. Not only was the celebratory cake ruined, but two bottles of champagne, a chocolate fountain, and multiple platters of hors d'oeuvres had fallen alongside them.

As Rogers is the only Avenger to have officially moved into Stark Tower as of yet, their clashing personalities are bound to make living arrangements interesting. It is unclear, however, what the future of the team will look like, especially with Rogers and Stark reportedly disagreeing on leadership styles, but one thing seems certain: if they are ever going to win another battle, they first need to stop fighting each other.]

Tony never really paid attention to the red string attached to his hand. Sure he knew intellectually it was meant to lead to his soulmate but if he was honest with himself Tony wasn't sure how much he believed that to be true. And so he just didn't think about it. That was until one day while walking around the R and D department he was taken to be introduced to his companies latest employee. An absolute genius if the supervisor was right. Now if Tony had paid attention to his soulmate string he would have noticed that he was being led in the direction it went off in and was becoming noticeably more tangible the closer he got. But he didn't. Tony only noticed when he went to shake the younger man's hand and saw his red sting was in fact also attached to the red string on the others hand too. Looking at the younger man his soulmate all he could do was smirk and feel extraordinarily pleased with who fate had lead him to.

'Well, Peter was it, looks like your time at Stark Industries is going to be a lot more exciting than you thought and I for one look forward to it.'

Tony hadn't ever been on a double date since he started dating Peter. He'd always preferred the dates he'd take Peter on to be close and intimate, just the two of them. So that brought up the question in his mind. How on earth did he and Peter find themselves on a double date? Much less one with villainous alternate versions of themselves?

Anthony didn't get why this inferior version of himself seemed so nervous. His Peter wanted to go on a double date sometime and, as no one but himself and Peter would be worthy of being the other couple, obviously he went looking for alternate versions of them that were also dating. Honestly didn't this world's Tony and Peter know just what an honour he had given them. Urgh heroes, so fussy.

When, during a lecture, students noticed a ring on Professor Stark's hand naturally the campus gossip mill started churning. The mechanical engineering professor had always been incredibly private and quite sharp with people who asked questions about his home life, which was a world away from his friendly nature when talking about anything to do with his class or anything else a student needed help with. This obviously made everyone even more interested as to the man's private life. But to no avail, nobody knew anything about him other than what pertained to his class. Until now. It was just a simple gold ring but to those who wanted to know more about the man (not just the students were interested as several of Stark's fellow professors had bets on the man's home life) it was so much more. It was a thread for them to follow, a lead to their much desired answers. But most importantly it was a link. A link to the new biochemistry professor. Someone who, while no one had seen him interact much with Professor Stark on campus, wore an incredibly similar ring. A matching ring even. Could it be that the most mysterious professor on campus was married to another professor? Nobody quite knew but it was an intriguing thought. One that if true would be an incredible addition to the discord server dedicated to unraveling the mystery of Professor Stark. All they needed now was more evidence. The hunt was on.

Tony looked forward to seeing the little spider again. He's so much more interesting than any of the other 'heroes' he fought. And he'd been able to put up a decent fight. No other hero he had fought had been bale to put up as much resistance their first time. But young Parker had. He'd even manage to land a few decent hits on Tony. It may have been their first fight together but Tony anticipated many more. The spider definitely had potential. Maybe enough that he'd be worth Tony putting some effort into turning to his side. After all he is the market for a consort

Tony had planned this day meticulously. It was the annual meet up of the heads of New York's families, And it was to be the day all of them came under the Stark family's rule. He had carefully managed to place all the other's heirs and successors under his control. Either by way of bribery or force. All that was left was to take out those blocking their path to the top. It wouldn't be too hard a task as even the other head's guards were (mostly) now under Tony's sway and wouldn't respond to cries of alarm. But it could still be difficult as no one was to be allowed guards or weapons in the meeting room itself. Sure he knew the others had no doubt hidden weapons on their person, as would he, but those weren't the sort that could defend against a dedicated gunman. They were the sort to hold one off until the guards could enter. Guards either under Tony's power or ones who would be dealt with by them. That's why he chose Peter for the task. Every other boss at the meeting only saw a piece of arm candy, a wife at most, when they looked at Peter and so wouldn't note him as a threat. What they didn't see was his other role in the Stark family. Oh they were lovers that much was true but was Peter so much more. He was Tony's personal assassin. And the perfect person to do the actual killing. After all no one thinks to frisk the sugar baby for a gun do they. Their hubris and dismissal of Peter would be their downfall and Tony would reap countless rewards from it. Rewards he would share with his lover of course. He wouldn't be making their mistake not now or ever.
