Casa Tow Set
The youthful free spirit of the 1920s has been displaced to make room for the serious, hard-working, masculine sims that every home needs. There is no reason why he can't enjoy the comfort of a new suit. The lady, bearer of good taste and elegance, can bring her wit and good taste to choose the fabric of her husband's suit without undermining the masculine seriousness.
Casa Tow, an important department store like Gath & Chaves, has for you new suits that add the illusion of height and width, with wide, padded shoulders, high lapels and matching mid-length vests.

1920s Inspired Hair Set
Long time to see! I fell in love with the slick wavy hair from the latest expansion pack and felt it needed more variations. This is the first hair I've made in a while and I'm hoping to release a few more before the end of the year. Stay tuned!

Simple 1920s summer ensemble. Mesh and texture not the most intricate in the world but I like it, and maybe someone will also find it usefull. Important (!): it is not a hat it is a hairstyle with a hat attached to it. Every cloche hat, I ever found, clipped with ea's and cc hairstyles (if it wasn't made specificaly for that particular hat) so this was the solution. By default the hat colour is simple yellow straw. In "hats" you can find overlay for the hat and in "earrings" - flower accessory for the hat (this category used because you will not see earring with this hat).
download (simfileshare)
If you have any problems with my cc tell me. I have no intention to ruin someone’s game and will try to fix it.

Late 1910s Convertible Dress
Tumblr media
Saw this image, got inspired, made an outfit.
This type of "convertible" ensemble is meant to make it easy to switch between pants (for activities like bicycling or work) and dresses, in a time when it wasn't exactly acceptable for a woman to wear pants in public. In this case, the ensemble consists of a bodice, bloomers, and an apron-like dress to cover the bloomers.

El Dorado Cabaret & Casino (Download Tray Files & CC)
Tumblr media
Yes, I'm back to playing TS4 and that means I'm back to building. I created a sim called Octavia who used to be an exotic dancer (until she married money and started the black widow challenge), so I needed to have a Generic lot that worked as a cabaret/casino for gameplay purposes and I decided to build it from scratch. I'm now sharing it with you guys in case you also need something similar for your vintage 1920s/30s/40s save file.
The exterior is obviously inspired by the infamous El Dorado Berlin while the interior I kinda reimagined myself. Here are some screenshots:

Showgirl's dressing room:

Before you go ahead and download it into your game, a few IMPORTANT disclaimers:
The lot is a 30x20. I built it on Magnolia Promenade.
I used items from a few expansions and packs (listed below), so if you don't own them those items might be replaced with others.
This lot is designed to work as a Stripclub, therefore you'll be needing the Wicked Whims mod in order to obtain the pole and have your sims being able to dance for money.
Like all my builds, this is a heavily CC based lot. If you don't have a powerful PC, it might get laggy while trying to play with it.
Regarding the CC, I do not own nor take credit from any item included within this lot. All credit goes to their amazing creators.
The .ZIP file (2.76 GB) includes two folders: one for the Tray Files and another one with all the CC. I'm 100% sure all the CC I used is already public for everyone; if it's not, it's been definitely longer than three weeks since it has all been in my game and you (the CC creator) shouldn't be putting content behind permanent paywalls to begin with ;)
I did use bb.moveobjects on while building and have playtested it, so it should be fully functional. Let me know if otherwise.
Like I said before, the lot is currently set as Generic so I could turn it into a Stripclub with Wicked Whims and have my burlesque sims make some simoleons while dancing. Wicked Whims is not included within the CC folder, you'll have to download it and install it yourself.
That's all for me! This is only the second piece of content I share for others to download, so if you run into any kind of issues do not hesitate to let me know and I'll try to help best I can :)
If you do like it, please make sure to like this post (heck, maybe even comment on it if you feel like it!) and please, please, PLEASE do tag me on your screenshots if you share them here on Tumblr. I'd love to see what you guys make with it!

ARGENTINIDAD
🇦🇷 A Argentinian Historial Sim Download A few weeks ago my historical tumblr with things related from my country took a lot of relevance, thanks to many resources I realized that there are many people who are interested in having several argentinian sims in their game, so this is for them and everyone interested in the history of different countries (or who need some sim for their game lol).
[More photos, info and download below]
These sims are originally from my Women's Day post inspired by female historical figures from different decades in Argentina. They are doctors, lawyers, writers and much more. But there is a bonus included which is two new sims = Corina Kavannagh and Lola Mora.
Tumblr media
Corina Kavanagh. 1890-1984.
Corina Kavanagh was an Argentinian rancher known for the Kavanagh Building , the tallest concrete skyscraper in Argentina and South America at the beginning of the last century. This building has a legend that says it was built because Corina fell in love with a man of the Anchorena family, one of the most illustrious surnames in Argentina. The Anchorena's were an aristocratic and landowning dynasty with a Basilica which they could see from their mansion. Corina had a wealthy family but they looked down on her as a "nouveau riche" with no lineage, so the Anchorenas prohibited her from having a relationship with one of their members. Corina bought the land between the basilica and the mansion and built 120 meters of concrete so that they could not see the church. Since 1936, the only way for the Anchorena family to visit their Basilica was through the Corina Kavanagh passage.
Tumblr media
(Lola) Dolores Candelaria Mora. 1866-1936.
The most flattered and discussed Argentine sculptor of her time, the artist who scandalized the society of her time, died in poverty and was vindicated by time. She began studying portrait and drawing in Tucumán and then obtained a scholarship in 1896 to perfect herself in Rome where she changed drawing for sculpture. There she was highly praised and in 1900 the artist decided to return to the country, where she obtained several state commissions, including the Fountain of the Nereids in 1903. She also faced controversy due to the nudity of her figures, and in her workshop it was common to find her working with pants on the structures of the sculptures.

Listed below are all the sims to download and with a view of their outfits.

A little bit of context for today's story post: some Lorimer lore, if you will. content warnings for death and pregnancy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above: Formal portrait commissioned by the Palace, c. 1919, age 22. Left: Pictured c. 1905, age 8, with her parents. Right: Pictured c. 1914, age 17.
Frances, Princess of Romilly, (born Frances Elizabeth Imogen Selby; March 5, 1897 - April 11, 1924) was the first wife of King Arthur V and the mother of his three eldest children: King Frederick IV, Prince Patrick, Duke of Statham, and Prince Louis, Duke of Atteberry.
Frances Selby was born on March 5, 1897 in Maloret, Iverny to Lt. Col. James Selby and Lady Imogen Penrose, a niece of Earl Maurice Penrose, husband of King Charles IV’s fifth daughter Princess Georgia. The marriage was loving, but morganatic, and Frances was the only surviving child.
Frances was enrolled in the Maloret Girls’ School at age six, on the insistence of her mother. She graduated in 1914 and had planned to enroll at St. Anne’s Women’s College in Lorain, but the outbreak of World War I prevented this. Frances’s father, James, was drafted into the war at age 50 for his military accomplishments in the 1889 Isle of Leonne Offensive, a brief land dispute between Iverny and the United Kingdom. His actions as a Lieutenant colonel during a 1915 Western Front battle, while directly in opposition to his superior’s commands, were responsible for saving the lives of nearly 1,200 Ivernian soldiers. He was dishonorably discharged for insubordination in November 1915, but received a pardon directly from the Queen. In January 1916, he was knighted by Queen Jane II and awarded an Augustan Cross for valor, the highest military honor in Iverny. Frances reportedly met then Prince Arthur of Ettinger, the Queen’s cousin, at this ceremony.
Prince Arthur and Frances quickly bonded over their shared love of books and reading. According to the diaries of his sister Princess Antonia, the prince reportedly gave up to thirty-three books as gifts to the young Frances, and loaned out several copies from both his personal library and the Queen’s Clemons Palace library. It did not come as a surprise to the family when Arthur asked the Queen’s permission to marry Frances in the fall of 1917. The match proved unpopular in the Assembly and amongst the Royal Family for being morganatic, especially because Arthur was second-in-line to the throne behind his father, and Queen Jane II had yet to marry and produce an heir. However, the Queen approved the marriage on the grounds that morganatic marriages, while unpopular, were not against the law, and that she “saw the deep Affection and Trust between these two young people.” This infuriated Arthur’s mother, the Duchess of Ettinger, who had been trying to arrange a marriage between Arthur and one of her Romanov relatives for years. The wedding and marriage were delayed by the Queen for months at the Duchess’s insistence as the Russian Revolution made contact with her family almost impossible.
The Queen died unexpectedly at age 26 in November 1918 from the Spanish Flu, shocking the nation and sending the royal family into upheaval. The Duke of Ettinger ascended the throne as Richard V, and both his wife and the Assembly urged him to prohibit the marriage. The new king refused on the grounds that “continuation of the Family line is essential” and that “through all of their Hardships, Miss Selby and the Crown Prince have stayed true to themselves and steadfastly honoured the love between them. Despite her humble background, she will make a fine Queen for this nation.” The two were finally married in February 1919 at Herriot Cathedral in Gaucelin. The Princess became a dedicated patron of many of the same causes that the very popular Queen Jane II supported, such as labor and occupational safety and education, as well as several of her own, including literacy and public libraries, quickly endearing her to the skeptical public. Her popularity exploded almost overnight.
The couple’s first child, Prince Frederick of Romilly, was born in January 1920, followed by another son, Prince Patrick, in the summer of 1922. Both pregnancies and deliveries were easy and uncomplicated. When the Princess fell pregnant again in 1923, court diarists wrote that she complained often of exhaustion and chills, and was confined to bedrest for much of the pregnancy. In April 1924, the Princess went into labor. After almost eleven hours of no progress despite labor symptoms, the court physician determined that the baby was breeched and ordered a cesarean section. Court midwives desperately contested this decision, but the Princess agreed to the surgery. The child, Prince Louis of Romilly, was born healthy on April 8, 1924, and initially the Princess recovered well from the delivery. However, the next day, the Princess developed a fever and extreme fatigue, and her condition rapidly deteriorated. The Princess died on April 11, 1924 at 27 years old, three days after giving birth to her third son, from sepsis and postpartum hemorrhage. The nation, still reeling from the shock of losing Queen Jane II unexpectedly five years prior, was in shock, outrage, and disbelief, but none moreso than the Crown Prince himself.
