Tommy Moscatelli at Del Sol Valley Studios, performing his hit song "My Plumbob darling" during the 1968's New Years Broadcast.
Tommy was a huge teenage heartthrob during the late '60s. His hip-shaking dance moves made him a global, controversial pop sensation that even managed to get the L.A.I.A. (Llamas Against Immorality Association) to try and ban him from appearing on national television.
He can be seen wearing @surely-sims's Strangers in the Night Set during this performance.

The original Queen of Gossip
Hedda Adcock at her office, Del Sol Valley 1932.
She was the first sim to ever write a celebrity gossip column and her razor-sharp tongue could make or break a career. She would stop at nothing to get the juiciest of rumors and would amusingly refer to her own mansion as "the house that fear built".
(As always, special thanks to @surely-sims & @swapmeetsimming for their beautiful CC creations!)

#ShowUsYourCASStyle
As you all know if you follow my blog (and other than the occasional Juno Birch appreciation post), I pretty much do nothing but historical gameplay. Roaring twenties to be more specific, daaahling!
However, one of the things I really struggle with is making unique characters with distinctive faces. I don't know why but somehow my sims always end up looking very much alike and it's very frustrating as I usually develop background stories for them and I like their appearances to match their stories.
That's why after gathering some inspiration from amazing creators such as @pixelshary or @dashisims while also trying to maintain my own personal style, I've recently been embracing and playing around with a more cartoon-ish CAS style.
I downloaded some sliders and presets to make the eyes and head shape waaay bigger to achieve that cartoon look and I have to say... I kinda love it! It's turning out very Disney like, which I believe complements my 1920s aesthethic beautifully (I'm thinking of one my favorite Disney characters ever aka the ICONIC Lottie La Bouff from The Princess and the Frog). What do you think?
Would you please help me out naming her? I'm thinking Hedda in honor of the legendary Hedda Hopper. But what should her last name be?
Also, huge shut-out to the one and only @happylifesims without whose content my game would be literally NOTHING lol😅

Lady of the Seas, a 1920s cruise ship (Download Tray Files & CC)
Hello my lovelies! It's been a while, I know... but you know how it is, you pick up the game and play non stop for like five days and then you forget about it for two months. Would it really be The Sims 4 if we didn't have a love/hate relationship with it?
I do check Tumblr every now and then even if I'm not in the mood to play the game, though. That's how I came across @khakas-cc's Painted Lady set the other day and felt so inspired I just had to go back to building! I thought it was the perfect set for a pristine white, Titanic-like cruise ship and so without further due... introducing the stunning Lady of the Seas!
Indulge in the pleasures of hedonism aboard Lady of the Seas, a luxury cruise ship equipped with everything you need to embark on your journey through the crystal-clear waters of Sulani like the true aristocrat you are. Here are some screenshots:
Exteriors:
Reception, main hall & staircase (yes, I took reference from my own old posts and kinda replicated The Palace Hotel build. R.I.P. to the save file that died with my old laptop):
Downstairs lounge/music room:
Upstairs lounge/casino/library:
Restaurant & buffet:
Coffee shop/drawing room:
En-suite rooms (there are four):
Floorplant screenshots:
Ground floor (reception, main hall, lounge/music room & jacuzzi area).
First floor (second lounge/casino/library & restaurant/buffet).
Second floor (four en-suite rooms and coffee shop/drawing room).
Roof
Before you go ahead and download it into your game, a few IMPORTANT disclaimers:
The lot is a 50x50. I built it in the empty lot on the Lani St. Taz neighborhood (Sulani).
I used items from several expansions and packs (listed in screenshot below), so if you don't own them those items might be replaced with others.
This lot is set as Residential, but you can change it to a Residential Rental and make each room an apartment!
Like all my builds, this is a heavily CC based lot. If you don't have a powerful PC, it might get laggy while trying to play with it.
Regarding the CC, I do not own nor take credit from any item included within this lot. All credit goes to their amazing creators, especially @valiasims, @khakas-cc, @surely-sims & @doctorsimcraft whose content I mainly used this time around... though I also used some items from others creators such as Harrie or FelixAndre.
The .ZIP file (3.62 GB) includes two folders: one for the Tray Files and another one with all the CC. I'm 99.9% sure all the CC I used is already public for everyone; if it's not, it's been definitely longer than three weeks since it has all been in my game and you (the CC creator) shouldn't be putting content behind permanent paywalls to begin with ;)
I did use bb.moveobjects on while building and have playtested it, so it should be fully functional. Let me know if otherwise.
And that's pretty much it, folks! Please let me know your thoughts and if you run into any issues do not hesitate to let me know. I'll try to help best I can :)
PLEASE do tag me on your screenshots if you share them here on Tumblr. I'd love to see what you guys make with it!

The STUN 'IN' MART & UFO home (Download Tray Files & CC)
So @surely-sims and @ice-creamforbreakfast made our jaws drop once again with their incredible Juno Birch CC Set, sure... but now you have to actually spend the time building a lot so you can start your new save file with the STUNNING Juno Birch and you simply can't be bothered. Is that so? Well, fear not my friend because here I am to make your life easier and allow you to jump straight into gameplay! Introducing the STUN 'IN' MART & UFO home, a residential lot designed specifically for none other than the LEGEND, the ICON that it is Juno Birch:
Since she landed on planet Earth she thought it'd be best for her to go undercover as a human, 1960s wife but hey, she also needed to make some simoleons... so why the heck not open a supermarket? Also, finding a parking spot in Ordinary Springs is incredibly difficult these days so she had no choice but to stunningly park her UFO home right on top of it. YES, THAT'S HAPPENING! Here are some screenshots:
Minimart:
Aaaand PAUSE! If you go in the cereal and premade meals aisle, you'll find a suspicious back door leading to a shady, dark room with a ladder that seems to be taking you to a basement:
It's a prison cell for Joy Despret, YES THAT'S HAPPENING! In case that "No Joy Desprets" sign in the front yard goes unnoticed.
Back patio:
UFO home, kitchen:
Bedroom:
Dining room/interior garden a.k.a. The Green Plumbob Room:
Living room:
Here you can also find some floorplant screenshots, so you can get an idea where everything is located.
Basement:
Ground floor:
UFO home:
Before you go ahead and download it into your game, a few IMPORTANT disclaimers:
The lot is a 20x15. I built it on the bottom left lot from the Parched Prospect neighborhood in Oasis Springs (which for me is Ordinary Springs because I play in a save file that brings back worlds & townies from TS2).
I used items from several expansions and packs (listed in screenshot below), so if you don't own them those items might be replaced with others.
This lot is set as Residential.
Like all my builds, this is a heavily CC based lot. If you don't have a powerful PC, it might get laggy while trying to play with it.
Regarding the CC, I do not own nor take credit from any item included within this lot. All credit goes to their amazing creators, especially @surely-sims & @ice-creamforbreakfast whose content I used almost exclusively to build this one.
The .ZIP file (2.35 GB) includes two folders: one for the Tray Files and another one with all the CC. I'm 100% sure all the CC I used is already public for everyone; if it's not, it's been definitely longer than three weeks since it has all been in my game and you (the CC creator) shouldn't be putting content behind permanent paywalls to begin with ;)
I did use bb.moveobjects on while building and have playtested it, so it should be fully functional. Let me know if otherwise.
That's all for me! Please let me know your thoughts as I'm slightly insecure about this lot because it is a lot wackier than my regular 1920s historical save file kinda style lol. Also, if you run into any issues do not hesitate to let me know and I'll try to help best I can :)
PLEASE do tag me on your screenshots if you share them here on Tumblr. I'd love to see what you guys make with it!

BARBARA O'BABS hair salon & laundromat (Download Tray Files & CC)
Hello friends, long time no see! I'm about to move to Ireland within three weeks and to say I've been busy would be quite an understatement. However, I can always find myself some time to play The Sims 4 (especially when a new EP comes out) and I just HAD to try this new Businesses & Hobbies one, how are you guys enjoying it so far?
I created this beautiful mess of a woman named Barbara Salomon who smokes like a chimney and I'm absolutely OBSESSED with how stunning she looks:
Anyway, I decided she was gonna be a hairdresser and created a 1950s inspired hair salon & laundromant (because hey, why shouldn't those two mingle? lol) for her to thrive as a businesswoman. And so today, I bring you this charming little lot I've spent way too much time on for you to enjoy as well! Here are some screenshots:
Front:
Back:
Hair salon:
Laundromat:
Upstairs apartment:
Before you go ahead and download it into your game, a few IMPORTANT disclaimers:
The lot is a 20x15. I built it on the Old Torget House lot from the new world of Nordhaven.
I used items from several expansions and packs (sorry I couldn't list them below, I played offline while building it and taking the screenshots), so if you don't own them those items might be replaced with others.
This lot is set as Residential.
Like all my builds, this is a heavily CC based lot. If you don't have a powerful PC, it might get laggy while trying to play with it.
Regarding the CC, I do not own nor take credit from any item included within this lot. All credit goes to their amazing creators.
The .ZIP file (2.21 GB) includes two folders: one for the Tray Files and another one with all the CC.
This is only the third piece of content I share for others to download, so if you run into any kind of issues do not hesitate to let me know and I'll try to help best I can :)
If you do like it, please make sure to like this post (heck, maybe even comment on it if you feel like it!) and please, please, PLEASE do tag me on your screenshots if you share them here on Tumblr. I'd love to see what you guys make with it!

Guess what I'm doing! The minute they went available on the Epic Games app I immediately bought them... take my money, EA!
Y'all have no idea what this means for a 90s kid like me, I'm smiling side to side. The amount of hours my 9 years old self spent on this game, the lore, the storytelling and imagination it brought on me... the memories this is unblocking is UNCANNY.
Cancel all my appointments, please! You won't be seeing much of me in a couple of days lol

So I've been quite busy lately (I'm moving to Ireland! Sounds exiting but trust me, the process of moving across the ocean ain't fun) and wasn't able to post these screenshots I took the other day, but here they finally are!
The lovely Anne (aka @surely-sims) was kind enough to send me the AMAZING Bioshock Deco Set she made alongside @doctorsimcraft & @lumenniveus a day prior to its release and I got to live my best 1920s roaring life with it. If you follow my Tumblr at all, you know I play almost NOTHING but 1920s historical save files... so to say this was a gift from heaven to me would be an understatement lol
I'm simply speechless with the talent of these three out of this world talented mod creators, truly. Every set they release is better than the last and they continue to amaze me, every-single-time. Thank you for your incredible and constant contribution to this community I love so much!
If you take a look further at some of the swatches for the wall art pieces that come with the set you'll notice a few of them that are very, very special to me:
I'm proud to say I made them myself and honored to see @surely-sims was kind enough to included them as swatches. I know nothing about modding and wouldn't know how to help any other way, so this is my way of giving back. Thank you Anne for allowing me to be a tiny little part of this set somehow.
The only problem now is they have left us wanting more, right?

Okay, so I'd be liying if I say I didn't roll my eyes when the Life & Death EP was announced... I'm not an occult kinda simmer so I felt like this gorgeous 1920s short hairstyle was going to be the only thing about it I'd be interested in.
However, after building myself a mansion that took me way too long and investing some time in setting up the right enviroment for my gameplay, I feel like I can confidently say this might be one of the best EP we've gotten since Cottage Living.
The foggy, mysterious, dark academia vibe Ravenwood is showered in is totally up my alley. I even found myself enjoying the gameplay itself (which doesn't really happen very often in TS4 EPs for me, to be honest) with the whole bucket list thing, the Alice plotline and the delicious references to TS2. Yes, we old school simmers appreciate details like that.
Plus (and I know this is one of the reasons people are upset about, because they feel like EA is milking us once again... which of course they are lol), seems to me like this EP works pretty well with the Paranormal stuff pack if you have it and serves for a great storyline.
What do you guys think, are you enjoying it so far? I'm glad EA finally seems to be listening to us and actually putting some effort in the releases... let's hope the strike continues on!
