And now for the final result : * ))))
(Though I will have to add it to the cooking slot)
UPDATE
Fixed. There is actually nothing left for me to do here. This Recipe and ingredient are officially done. Wow. Oh! I took the steak out of the chopping board and replaced it with Flour, that way it doesn't break your immersion if you used another meat other than steak!

Breakfast At Twinsimming’s by Twinsimming 🥞
This mod adds six new breakfast recipes converted from The Sims 4, along with one new custom Avocado harvestable, and one new custom Butter ingredient!
The recipes, harvestable, and ingredient can all be placed in your Packages folder. They were created and tested on 1.69, but should work fine on 1.67.
(Yes, the title is a play on Breakfast At Tiffany’s, and no, I have not seen the movie lol)
Requirements
This mod requires CCLoader to function.
Overview
New Recipes
Avocado Harvestable
Butter Ingredient
New Recipes
All of the recipes are breakfast themed, but they’re enabled to be prepared at any time of day. They are also all Vegetarian safe!
Cooking Overhaul mods make the recipes require more ingredients, but they are not required to use this mod. Cooking Overhaul ingredients will have an (*) symbol next to them. From left to right in the preview photo:
*Edit: Cooking Overhaul mods are required for this version of the mod. If you do not have one, please download the [No Cooking Overhaul] version now included in the latest update.
Baleada (Level 2): Cheese, Egg, and Avocado
Fruit Salad (Level 0, under Dessert): Any Fruit x3
Avocado Toast (Level 0): *Bread, Avocado, and Butter
Eggs Benedict (Level 6, requires recipe book): Egg, Butter, and *Milk
Oatmeal (Level 0): Any Fruit, *Milk, and *Granola
Eggs and Toast (Level 0): Egg, *Bread, and Butter
Avocado Harvestable
The Avocado harvestable is a conversion from The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure. It can be bought at the grocery store for §6 or planted and grown at Level 6 of the Gardening skill.
Note: There is no auto soil for the Avocado tree at this time. Hopefully I can find a working tutorial and make this a reality in the future!
Butter Ingredient
Butter is a new, non-plantable ingredient that can be purchased at the grocery store for §5. It can also be made using my Pasteurize Milk Mod.
If you have my Pasteurize Milk Mod already installed, you do not need the Butter file included with these recipes as it is the same ingredient as the one included in that mod.
Note: This Butter ingredient is different from the one included in icemunmun’s Baker's Basket Plants, Ingredients and Recipes mod, so both can be installed at the same time.
Conflicts & Known Issues
This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

Oni28's Blueberry Cheesecake for TS3
I've been sitting on this for days because, well, 'real life'... Anyways, it's done. You can check this and this post for further info and more pictures.
The cake can be purchased from the catalogue and a single slice can be bought from a food register. But I haven't check the Rabbit Hole Grocery Store. It also comes with a recipe book and a custom buff which are documented in the posts linked above. Two versions: A BGC one with a recipe requiring eggs, fruits (if there's no blueberry) and cheese. And a Baker's Basket version with a recipe requiring creme cheese, sugar and fruits (if there's no blueberry) which is shown in the screenshot above.
The cooking process in this post is for BGC version. Baker's Basket version has a slightly different process. During testing, upon eating the cake Gigi was so delighted she wanted to learn the recipe which amused me quite a bit so I included the screenshot of it.
Both versions require Custom Cake Connector and CCloader. Baker's Basket version additionally requires, well, Baker's Basket. You ONLY need ONE version since they're exactly the same except ingredients and cooking process which will conflict if you have both.
Technical details for the nerds: I changed the UVMap of the cake to make room for the serving tray. The berries and their sauce beds are decimated to acceptable levels. Polys are 734 for the cake and 138 for the slice. One thing to note, Baker's Basket already have a recipe for Blueberry Cheesecake. Still, the meshes and the textures are really different. Also, this one's recipe book costs §150 and requires level 5 of cooking skill. So you can easily sort them out. Have fun. And let me know if things are not right.

So
Lol I seen that post going around. I don't want to reblog it because I disagree with a lot of the OP's ideas on it. Especially for a game like TS3 that barely gets any new custom content nowadays. However, I got a few words.
While I see the appeal of trying to make money in this dystopian, capitalist ass economy, it's a well-known fact that Sims CC paywall culture has become absolutely atrocious. With that being said: PLEASE DO NOT MONETIZE EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO!! Particularly if it's a hobby that you love doing. Look into the dedication, time and care it takes to make a living off producing things you make with your own hands and creativity before just jumping in! Monetizing artisan skills "just because" is a recipe for burnout. And let me tell you, it sucks to be burntout and having to pump out content anyway because you decided to rely on it as a job.
Sims CC isn't something you should be relying on as a stable source of income in the first place. I know you've heard it all before, but—even if you made it from scratch, the moment you turn it into a package file, or something that goes in-game, EA owns that content. At any moment they can decide you're not allowed to use it for profit anymore and then your shit outta luck.
Still don't believe me? Look at most of the large content creators for any sims game. Do any of them actually play the game? Do any of them ever post just for fun and love of the franchise? Or is their entire blog dedicated to posting the CC that they monetize?
And tbh, I'm not saying that it makes them a terrible person if they don't post for fun. There are people who simply love creating certain types of things. But when it's always monetized, it does bring into question about whether they actually love and care about the game, or if they are just making content for profit.
#And I'm not gonna even get into the quality control thing#People who knowingly post broken and barely functioning paid content shouldn't be monetizing ANYTHING lol#Just a rant#Might slap a read more on this if it looks too long#Just ranting

Want to support my mods and cc making?
So this is something I've been thinking about for a little while due to changing real life circumstances. I've decided to make a patreon to help me be able to create the things I love while also staying home as a temporary carer.
Recently my grandma broke her femur, and has been in rehabilitation for about a month. I live with her, and she's going to need pretty much around the clock care for the next 6 months while she gets back on her feet. This means I'm not able to work at my real life job as much, however I will be at home much more often!
I know there is a bit of a stigma around early access, especially with ts3, so I won't be doing that. Instead, I'll upload all mods and cc publically as soon as they're finished, but allow patrons to download testing and unfinished versions earlier. This includes a testing version of my new TS3 TOOL mod, that will be coming soon!
To show my gratitude, patrons in the Supporter + Tier can also request custom recipes, plants or ingredients, and can individually choose whether they'd like me to make them available to the public or just as a private download.
I really really appreciate any and all support, even just likes and reblogs over on my tumblr! I don't intend to keep this patreon up forever, just until things become a bit more stable for me. I hope you all enjoy what's to come :)

I am stuck on the stupidest question.
With my mod CustomCakeConnector, it's now possible to have custom birthday cakes with matching slices AND it's possible to bake them. CCC birthday cakes also don't have to be used for birthdays. You can also just serve them and bypass the candles.

Sim World Tag Game
Rules: List your top 5 favourite Sims 3 worlds
Thank you so much for tagging me @ninjaofthepurplethings ✌
In no particular order, my favourite worlds for The Sims 3 are...
Lucky Palms
Desert worlds do it for me. Throw in Mid-Century Modern architecture. Combine with casinos, and retro Americana. You’ve got a recipe for sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll gameplay with lashings of mafia thrown in. Home to my favourite pre-made Sim, Yolanda Shaw.
Roaring Heights
In keeping with my adoration of 20th-c. architecture, this ‘20s-40s, Art Deco inspired world combines concept, beauty, and fun. In spite of routing issues, the layout is intuitive and the skyline unparalleled. Bonus points for the scandalous queer subplot.
Al Simhara
TS3’s OG desert world. Breath-taking landscape and a trial for BACC enjoyers. An Orientalist's wet dream but as a postcard world it paints a pretty picture of Egypt.
Isla Paradiso
It’s a Western tourist’s narrowminded concept of the Caribbean and buggy beyond belief but this tropical world has unrivalled charm and a relaxed atmosphere that compelled me to make it my main world.
Woeford
A custom desert world by @nornities & @simsmidgen, with the help of ninjaofthepurplethings that ticks every box:
✔ Desert ✔ Grungy ✔ Straight out of pulp science fiction
Honourable mention: Vintage Champs les Sims
@franglishetchocolat’s masterpiece makeover of WA’s Champs les Sims would top the list if I’d played it as much as these other worlds.
I tag @enable--llamas, @simsmono, @solori, @descendantdragfi, and @obscurus-noctem (if I can pull you both away from TS4 temporarily lol)
Any worlds you think should make my top 5? I haven’t played most of EA’s custom worlds or many player-made worlds. Recommendations greatly appreciated.

Food Overhaul Mod
Are you a fan of TS3′s ingredient system and are looking for something similar for TS2? Or do you simply want to make the gameplay surrounding food preparation to be more interesting? If you answered ‘yes’ to either or both of these then check out the Food Overhaul Beta! Features: • An extensive meal/ingredient system. Meals require a combination of food points and ingredients to be present in the fridge and/or the Sim's inventory respectively to be preparable. During preparation, ingredients are subtracted from the Sim's inventory, fridge, or both. If there are insufficient ingredients, the pie menu for the food will be grayed out as shown. Cooking Skill requirements still apply. • User tunability: Ingredient recipes can be modified by the user to a high degree of flexibility. Support exists to handle custom added ingredients by the user. Foods can be added and removed from the system. • If your Sim fails to find ingredients at the start of the cooking animation, meaning that their inventory/fridge got cleared, they will perform the 'fridge is empty' animation. This will also occur if you direct them to "Make"/"Make Many" and they lack the sufficient ingredients. • Meals do not need to require ingredients - if the food is not in the system, it will display Maxis behaviour, and if it is in the system but no ingredients are set for it, it will always be preparable. • The Ingredient Overhaul will only process on residential, dorm, and apartment lots. Users can choose whether playables on vacation need to worry about ingredients. NPCs and Sims not in the active household are not restricted by the system. • 8 new custom ingredients with their own GUIDs, along 16 Seasons produce and fish adapted into system-compatible ingredients for a total of 24 ingredients at launch. Seasons produce and fish all given prices and catalogue descriptions to those missing them. All ingredients are available to buy via the Debugger, or via the collection file included. • Seasons 'Stock Fridge' with harvestables interaction is nuked to accommodate the new system. This means that Sims can no longer put harvested foods or fish in the fridge the 'Seasons' way. Food recipes that REQUIRE harvestables keep their sparkles and filling effect. • Seasons special fish foods are always available in the fridge menu (barring Cooking skill requirement). However if you lack the ingredients for them, they will be grayed out. All other foods with 'special conditions' keep their conditions in addition to the ones imposed by this mod. • Sims can transfer ingredients in their inventories to the fridge (currently not animated). Sims can also check fridges to see the number of ingredients inside. For more details + download, checkout the thread at MTS.

Mmkay most of you probably won't understand this, but I am documenting my progress because I just like doing that on my blog. And if this post reaches anyone with experience willing to help that would be great lmaoo.
So the good news is I've got the ingredient model into ts3. The geostates are done! The mesh was originally 20k POLYGONS, but I got it down to 438 :). And it was very easy. @bietjie was VERY helpful to me in answering my noob questions and I did not want to bother them too much more! But their help and their guide probably cut my project time in HALF! I def would've stumbled over this part without them so TYSM for that!
Stopping the project here for now as it's getting late, but I got as far as making my event handler and buffs template. Since I really want custom moodlets with the ingredients. If you watched my cooking overhaul guide then you know you'd be able to use these buffs in any recipe in the game, which is the main function that I want out of the ingredients. I am stuck on understanding the STBL's and how to link them (and anticipate I will get tripped up on the thumbnail as well LOL), I will try again tmrw after work, thanks for coming to my TED talk!

I was wondering if you could create recipes for medieval times? If not can you show me how too?
Hello! I'm not interested in creating medieval recipes, but if you're looking to learn how to make your own, @omedapixel has a great custom recipe tutorial on her TS3 Custom Recipe Class discord server!
There's also this amazing mod called Functional Fireplaces with Cauldron on Mod The Sims that adds some medieval style recipes and a cauldron to cook them in 😋

I never liked TS3, but your recent gameplay pics makes it seem so fun. How many packs do you have? Do you play with any mods? This is unrelated, but I was wondering what are your opinions on Sims 4? I am asking because I love sims, but don't enjoy anything beyond sims 2 and it is becoming increasingly difficult to play the game on modern computers. My playstyle seems to match yours, so I would like to know your thoughts.
You know, I didn’t like TS3 for years. I think it was because I really wanted it to be TS2, only better. Like, the same exact game only with better graphics, more freedom with the open world, etc. When I tried to play TS3, I was spending so much time comparing it with 2 that I couldn’t appreciate it on its own merits, as a completely different creature. Which it definitely is…
And I babbled a lot (What a surprise!), so I’ll cut the rest. I just woke up, so pardon my incoherent rambling. :)
Once I finally accepted that TS3 isn’t TS2, I started to enjoy 3 a lot more, and then I started to discover its own unique strengths. Because it does have strengths over TS2 – gardening and its tight integration with cooking, for one, plus the adventure-vacations and, oh yeah, HORSES and the other pets that, annoying routing aside, are just better than TS2’s – although there are many things that I like better in TS2, of course. Primarily building. I love building neighborhoods from the ground up in TS2. Doing that is why I got the game in the first place. In TS3? I HATE BUILDING WITH THE FIRE OF A THOUSAND SUNS. (So I’m really thankful for the people who enjoy making custom worlds! :D ) I just want to open up a fully-built, ready-to-go, but unpopulated world -- and if it’s populated I just nuke everyone with Master Controller -- and play TS3 because its gameplay is actually really fun, IMO, once you stop expecting it to be TS2. Now, to be fair, I haven’t gotten tired of TS3’s gameplay probably because I haven’t been playing the game for a solid decade, so I haven’t done all the stuff a million times yet. But in TS2, I’m starting to find the gameplay really tiresome, even with all the mods to make it more interesting. So, I break up the tedium with building, while my “playing batteries” recharge. I can see me coming to a point where I’ll stop wanting to play it, though, and just want to build in it and make stuff needed for what I build. But I still have fun playing TS3, so...yeah.
Anyway, I have all the TS3 EPs, and I kind of consider all of them essential because they all add bits (or large chunks!) of gameplay that I like. I only have one of the stuff packs – High End Loft Stuff or something? – because the base game I bought had that bundled with it. I have also *ahem* acquired *ahem* all of the store worlds and the interesting-to-me store items. (Like the canning station and the gardening/greenhouse/farm stuff and the glass-blowing/jewelry-making and the bakery set and the OFB-like stuff and…Well, you get the idea. :) )
And I have many, many mods. I have more mods than anything else, when it comes to third-party content for the game. I have pretty much all of the NRAAS mods, some of which – like Master Controller, Error Trap, and Overwatch – are essential for keeping the game running smoothly, and some of which add fun stuff. Like Traveler, which makes it so that you can have Sims living in multiple worlds in a single save (sort of like a neighborhood + subhoods in TS2), and you can bounce between them. It’s probably my favorite mod of them all. Other non-NRAAS faves involve gardening/cooking, whole packs of new plants for growing new ingredients that are needed for new recipes for the game, including cuisines for different cultures. (Greek, Indian, Mexican, etc.) Still others add more abilities and interactions for children, toddlers, and babies.
And then there’s the “adult” mod, “Kinky World,” which adds realistic animated sex and various sorts of stuff for grown-ups. I have much of it disabled because I’m not interested in having things like rape and incest and bestiality in my game, but I’m OK with drug use and sex work and especially the customizable menstrual cycle that makes baby-making far more realistic, in addition to various services added to the hospital rabbithole (sterilization procedures for both sexes as well as some sex reassignment procedures), and…Well, I confess that the flashers amuse the hell out of me, specifically different Sims’s reactions to them. *laugh* The “Kinky World” mod certainly isn’t for everyone and it does throw errors and such and the admins on the NRAAS forum really poo-poo its shoddy coding, so you probably shouldn’t use it in a save that you really care about keeping around long-term, but if you’re into that sort of stuff and you’re just screwing around (pun intended :) ), it has some interesting features. I wish I could have the menstrual cycle from it all by itself because that’s mostly why I use it.
Overall, when it comes to TS3, I think you sort of have to find your bliss with it. Go into it with an open mind, explore the game unmodded for a while, try out various aspects of its gameplay, and then decide what you don’t like and look into how to fiddle with it with mods and CC and such. Like, I thought I’d hate the whole Story Progression thing – and I would hate it, in a TS2 context – but in TS3 I actually enjoy losing (some) control over my playables when I’m not playing them. It adds randomness, sort of like things like ACR does in TS2. That said, EA’s story progression sucks in various ways. Get NRAAS’s Story Progression. It’s huge and has a scary-looking learning curve but also has extensive documentation on the NRAAS site as to what everything does, and once you get used to it, it’s really cool. You can basically decide, on a very detailed level, which things you’re OK with the game deciding as opposed to you deciding, so you can get rid of the annoying things about EA’s progression while still keeping the general idea of it.
So…yeah. Play the game with an open mind, with a “I’m just testing” sort of mindset. Find out what you do and don’t like about it, on its own merits, and don’t just assume that the things you like in 3 will be the same as the things you like in 2 because they very well might not be. Then spend time exploring mods and CC (and prepare to be enraged by Adfly and such! :P ) to change how the game works and what it looks like and stuff like that.
I did a lot of experimenting over the course of various stabs at the game over the years, trying to find something to like. I quickly discovered that the “build-a-city-esque” way I generally play in TS2 was out because I hate building in TS3, but I also discovered that, like in TS2, I’ll get bored if I only play one household all the time. So, I do still like a rotational set-up. Happily, it is pretty simple, with NRAAS’s Story Progression’s “caste” system, to do rotational play in TS3. (There’s a “how to set this up” tutorial of sorts here.) This is what I found that I like best; I’m still in the process of fiddling with the Story Progression settings for non-active playable households, to determine what level of control over them I really want. (Turns out, it’s less control than I thought I’d want, but there are still some things that I don’t want to happen without my consent.) Anyway, the point I’m trying to make is to, at first, play some “throwaway” saves in the game that you just experiment with stuff, to find worlds you like (I highly recommend My Sim Realty’s worlds because they’re CC and store-content free as well as well-constructed – no lag – and attractive) and to find out what you like in terms of gameplay. For you, it might turn out that you like nothing…or you may find that you like a lot of things. And, yes, TS3 still runs well (when modded to fix some of its inherent flaws) on modern machines. I mean, EA still sells it, after all, so it kinda has to. :)
And finally, speaking of inherent flaws… I think TS3 is the proverbial red-haired stepchild of the franchise mostly because of two things:
One, while it has grand ideas – i.e., the fully open world – it’s just not executed well. For instance, there are many construction errors in the EA worlds that cause Sims to get stuck, and when a bunch of Sims are stuck but the game still tries to make them do things, it gums up the whole works, resulting in lag, lag, lag. There are fixed EA worlds out there, though, so if you try out the game and want to play an EA world, I highly recommend finding a fixed version, so you don’t get frustrated by the world’s EA-created issues. They’re all a bit screwy in this regard, but the worst offenders are Bridgeport from Late Night and Isla Paradiso from Island Paradise. Basically, EA tried to do it all and so did most of it half-assedly. The game pretty much requires fixed worlds (if you use the EA worlds) and the error-fixing NRAAS mods in order to run smoothly. IME, custom worlds tend to run better. Not always, because some creators are just better/more experienced than others, but generally speaking. It’s probably because world creators are crafting labors of love rather than operating under pressure and a strict time-deficient production schedule. :)
Two, people were like me: They wanted TS3 to be TS2, only better, but it's not that at all. It’s a completely different game in many respects, and it seems to me that many people just couldn’t accept that. I’ve never played TS4 (so I have no opinions about it, I’m afraid), but from what I’ve seen it seems a little more 2-like, and it’s more cartoon-like (whereas TS3 was going more for realism, the pudding-Sims aside) in a way that’s more reminiscent of a “Maxis-match” TS2 game. And it’s also not the resource hog that playing a huge world in TS3 can be. So, I can see why a lot of people play TS2 and TS4 but skip TS3. I always have a tendency to zig when everyone else zags, though, and I kinda really like TS3. Go figure. *shrug*

So I don’t know if you all can tell but I’m pretty into messing around in CAW. Like I spend just hours in it when I get started. My biggest problem though is actually completing a full world project. I think I get too ambitious and want to cover everything I could possibly want instead of focusing on what will actually run long term. A world full of lots won’t do you any good if it takes 45 minutes to load. I mean just look at this shit I’m working on... it’s like a recipe for disaster no matter how obsessive I am with route testing just because of the sheer number of possible elements that will need processing.
So that being said, TS3 GAMEPLAY folks, what lot types and rabbit holes do you find MOST essential to your gameplay. I’m not talking about just things that are fun to have but things you couldn’t imagine playing without. Like I personally HAVE to have a festival park and at least one arcade in my towns because I think they offer great social experiences for my sims. So think of stuff like that.
Anyway, the point of all this is I’m going to try random legacy with Tidus and Nola and I want to build up a town they can stay in for at least a couple generations. I haven’t done a legacy/challenge save for ts3 in some time because I’ve had to move worlds/save files pretty frequently and that’s kind of a pain but I really miss the open world and nraas progression system so I’m really craving this play right now. So anyway, suggestions welcome so I can make some base lots to work out of. Also trying to decide on the type of world, usually I do forested places cause that’s what I personally love but feel like other environments are highly underrepresented comparatively and offer a lot of options. Like I really do want to do a good desert world, being from the American southwest myself it is a very special environment for me personally.

Get to Know You - Sims Edition
I was tagged by @hazely-sims. It takes me a while to respond, but I love being tagged.
What’s your favorite Sims death?
I’ve had to do some extreme challenge rules to let my sims die of anything other than old age. I have a difficult time letting my sims take risks that might get them killed. Amusingly, I don’t like that that pets have no other ways to die in the vanilla game because even though I don’t let them die, I want it to be meaningful for me to take care of them. 🤷♀️
OTOH, I love ghosts. I’ve added death types for cats and dogs with my Pets mods, and I’ve explored ALL the ghost types ad nauseum to pick ones that go well with those death types. A lot of the most obscure ghosts are the best ones. Vampire Thirst has a beating heart that is really impressive. Mummy’s Curse has neat color effects. Freezing to Death puffs out fog breath. They’re great, and they work seamlessly with pets.
Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?
Almost exclusively MaxisMatch. I used to use a mix, but over time the clash of art styles really started bothering me. Going all-alpha is way more work than all-mm, and I actually enjoy my sims’ lightly cartoony appearance.
Do you cheat your sims weight?
No. I want my sims to have a variety of weights, and I prefer body weight to just be genetic. My second gen heir for the Samples, Lancelot, was pretty heavy, and he was Athletic, so I made him a bodybuilder. Then he passed that physique down to his kids because Sims 🙄. After that, most of my sims have ended up slim by chance. My choice of mate is in-game and almost entirely gameplay driven, so there’s no particular reason partners would be slim or fit.
Do you move objects?
Since I’m very gameplay-driven, you’d think I wouldn’t use it much, but @hazely-sims is right. How can you play without it? If you use the default game restrictions, everything in your house ends up looking like it was place on a grid, which it kinda was.
Favorite Mod?
Good grief. I’m going to set aside NRaas, since that suite is rightly most people’s choice. One mod that’s had a big effect on my game is @flotheory‘s Make a Mess. Toddlers got to be incredibly boring, and EA reacted by creating store content that allowed them to skill themselves and be as unintrusive as possible. That was the wrong choice! Toddlers need to be a big PITA. You need to watch them every minute. That’s a real simulation of toddlerhood!
I also have gotten into more detailed survival simulation with my medieval game. @anitmb‘s Hunting Mod has been a big part of making that fun. Also Ingredients Overhaul and custom harvestables and recipes (psst Plantable Wheat)
First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?
I played The Sims and TS2, but not very long. I didn’t learn about fan-made challenges until TS3, and that’s when I really fell in love. So that’s the first game I bought expansions for.
Not very creatively, the first one I bought for TS3 was the first one that came out, World Adventures. That seems like a controversial one, but I love it. I guess the Game Pack equivalent for TS3 would be functional store content. I honestly don’t remember what I bought first.
Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing
aLIVE. Sims isn’t the only software to have a live mode, and that’s always how I’ve understood it to be pronounced. I didn’t even know people pronounced it like LIVing, but I can see how that would make sense for Sims.
Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?
I technically haven’t MADE a lot of sims because I’m obsessed with naturally born genetics. I download a lot of sims with interesting faces and load them into my game, then let NRaas StoryProgression pair them off and, using its Advanced Genetics, populate my town with interesting genetic combinations.
Have you made a simself?
Yup! Echo Weaver. Some sim friends over the years have put her in their games too.
Which is your favorite EA hair color?
I am SO SICK of all the TS3 hair presets.
Favorite EA hair?
Another difficult answer. There’s a braided updo that came with one of the expansions that I think looks wonderful on all female sims, but I’d have to look it up. That said, I don’t like repeating hairs in a game very often.
Favorite life stage?
Yeah, adult is where you can do the most stuff. I’m not sure it’s my favorite exactly. I like roleplaying each life stage to build a sim’s personality. My Gen 8 Sample sims are kids, so I’m thinking in kid mode at the moment and really enjoying @olomayasims Void Critters mod. Seems like most of the really fun gameplay for non-YA/Adult comes from mods.
Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?
I can’t build my way out of a cardboard box. Definitely gameplay. I think this is the wrong question, though, since there are way more options than those two. My answer would probably still be gameplay, but the gameplay wouldn’t be nearly as fun if I weren’t building a story out of it.
Are you a CC creator?
Trick question! I mod, but I don’t art. So it depends on how broadly you mean cc? 😁
Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?
Definitely have friends! Back in the WordPress days, I made a private Facebook community and invited a bunch of my Sims-playing pals. That was probably a “squad.” These days, I’m here, and I’m friend with folks who read and comment on each other’s stuff. I probably wouldn’t still be here without those relationships.
Do you have any sims merch?
I don’t think I’ve even seen TS3 merch. LOL.
Do you have a YouTube for sims?
I cannot stand watching other people play video games on YouTube unless it’s a tutorial. My play style would be horrible to watch because I go on random tangents to tweak lots and down population in the middle of gameplay. Yeah, I’ll skip that and keep to telling stories with screenshots.
How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?
I have gotten increasingly wish-driven and more focused on “emergent” sim personality.
Only year 13 or 14 of playing this game, I’ve gotten into challenges that are world aesthetic in addition to gameplay, such as the medieval history challenge (Morbid’s Ultimate Decades Challenge). That involves buckets of cc, a medieval-themed custom world, and a bunch of social rules in addition to just day-to-day gameplay. I want to feel like my games are different experiences.
Since I have trouble making my sims deliberately take risks, and I don’t think I could deliberately kill an active sim, I’ve looked for ways to add hardship into the game. I want to keep my sims relatively poor. I want there to be ways in the challenge for them to die. I want to have real life obstacles for my sims to overcome.
What’s your origin id?
It’s either Echowever or Echoweaver. I misspelled it initially and tried to fix it when EA moved the site to its newer account system. I can’t remember how that turned out. I think it’s Echowever in some places and Echoweaver in others. 🤦♀️
Who’s your favorite CC creator?
Gah. I started to answer this 3 times.
I love cc creators! I’m afraid to list any for fear of leaving anyone out who I also love. You’re all amazing!
How long have you had simblr?
I looked this up for a different meme, and I created this account in 2013. I haven’t been on it consistently during that time. I also took a 3-year hiatus from the game entirely and came back during the pandemic.
How do you edit your pictures?
For most of my time storytelling with this game, I haven’t edited my pics at all. In the last year or so, I’ve added ReShade with a pretty unobtrustive preset. mostly just to sharpen things up a bit and improve light quality. I’ve started editing dark shots in Photoshop Elements to increase the light or remove photobombing gui elements.
Not much overall though.
What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite?
Oof with the hard questions. Probably Seasons. The weather and holidays add a lot of depth and character to the gameplay.
Mmmmm. Who to tag? I’m not sure who hasn’t done this yet. @withlovefromayre? @pudding-parade?

First of all, thank you for sharing all of your amazing custom content for TS3! Would you be willing to convert TS4 base game & Vampire pack bassinet, as well as make TS3 Supernatural alchemy potions available in buy mode?
Hi there!
I could have sworn I’ve seen the TS4 bassinets converted to Sims 3 already... In any case I could only convert the one from basegame, as I don’t have any add-ons. But if anyone would like to extract the vampire bassinet mesh and textures for me, I’d give it a go.
I’m afraid, I can’t make the potions available for buymode. They’re not in S3oc, and I’m pretty sure they use some script that would get in the way. However, there are several ways to get hold of potions quickly. You could try the More Potions for Sale mod for better chances to buy them at the elixir store.
Or you could use NRaas DebugEnabler + NRaas MasterController (with the “Cheats” module) to unlock them more quickly. With MasterController, you can set your Sim’s alchemy skill to maximum. If you click on the alchemy station, the DebugEnabler menu has a function to make the active Sim learn all available potion recipes. To get the necessary ingredients, you can again use Debug Enabler on the ground to spawn gems or insects. Fish can be obtained by getting the correct spawners from the buydebug menu and placing them in a body of water. Also the fridge has a DebugEnabler function to get stocked with three of every ingredient in game; although this can slow down your game, because there are a lot of them!
I’m sure there are more tricks, but that’s all I can think of right now. I hope this helped a little!
