the worst part about Harris being elected as president will be the loss of the phrase ‘in this economy?!’

Not to be that person, but if Kamala Harris were a white man with the exact same ideals, positions, and beliefs, it wouldn’t have even been a competition. Realising that the worst thing you can apparently be is a woman, is truly devastating.

So I just saw Tumblr is promoting a flat earth video under the NASA tag 🤦🏿‍♂️ Not to sound dramatic but flat earth content is very dangerous bc it shows that even when faced with undeniable proof and empirical data you can still choose to be purposefully ignorant and gain a following. Why are we spreading this

How is it that Trump is still polling well, when all the raucous enthusiasm that he once inspired seems to be gone?
His rallies are half-empty and sad now. His online nutcases are far less numerous and far less loud. The people he once handpicked for top jobs are publicly bashing him. Even the Nazis have turned on him.
But somehow, he's still polling well. How?

Black people are going to die, not just in Ohio, but all over the US, because of the conspiracies being spread about Haitian migrants eating people's pets.

I know the economy worries a lot of people. I understand. High grocery prices bother me too, but what if I told you voting for a horrible person won’t fix it? What if I told you the bad economy is in part due to the aftermath of his time in office? His tariff plan will causes prices to go up, not down. Can you take that chance? Kamala Harris is only the vice president right now. Her only power is to follow Biden’s instructions and break Senate ties. If she became president she would stop corporate price gouging, which is the biggest source of the problem. Corporations are doing well enough economically they don’t have to charge the prices they are, but they choose to anyway. Kamala will also offer tax cuts to families with young children, tax cuts for new small businesses, and lower rent prices. For those ready to settle down and buy a home, she will offer a $25,000 down payment for that home. Taxes will be lower for regular people. They’re only going to go up for people making more than 400k a year.
Most people know Donald Trump is a nasty human being. People make the argument that we shouldn’t vote for someone based on character but shouldn’t the person holding our nations highest office be a role model for our kids? You might think you’d rather have someone of despicable character in office if life is more affordable but he won’t even do that. Someone who has no real empathy will not make your lives better because normally it won’t suit him.
Let’s fix our affordability crisis. Let’s put Kamala Harris in office and vote in a blue congress to support her.

Yes, these are different horrible people, but I feel like these news items are connected and part of a pattern.

At this point if you vote for Trump I automatically assume you're a fucking idiot.
No I don't care about being nice or if you're doing it because of Palestinian. Because if you truly cared about them you wouldn't vote for the man who wants isreal to finish the fucking job. Kamala can be reasoned with, Trump can't. He doesn't want to be reasoned with. He doesn't care. He doesn't want to help the people of Palestinian. He never fucking did.
And honestly, most if not all Trump supporters I've seen are fucking idiots. "What if kamala bombs someone because she's on her period" SHE'S LIKE FUCKING SIXTY!!! And might I remind you that you've probably interacted with a woman on her period without ever fucking knowing it. Because women are forced to act like everything is fine when on their period even if they are in excruciating pain. Women for YEARS have done jobs on their period without saying shit because people didn't fucking wanna hear about it. But people who say this don't know jack shit about women and have never heard the word menopause before. Women don't usually go fucking crazy when on their period. And most Trump supporters don't know jack shit about a period and what it actually does. Mood swings don't mean a woman just spontaneously decides that it's a good day to murder a bunch of people because she's on her period!
Also, people who spread shit about her not being black.. She's literally fucking mixed. Do you people NOT KNOW MIXED PEOPLE EXIST!?!? Just because she's also Indian (im pretty sure?) doesn't mean she's not fucking black too. Honestly I'm surprised these people are able to fucking function with how their brain seems to catch on fire the moment they have to use common fucking sense.
This election is a literal FELON who thinks Hitler did some pretty good things too vs a woman who actually believes in our rights. Is she perfect? Hell fucking no but at least she doesn't wanna be a fucking dictator and remove rights away from minorities because she's a bigoted asshole who thinks the world revolves around her, using Christianity to fear monger without knowing a damn thing about it.

Fundamentally, a lot of self-described "progressives," "liberals," "leftists" &c. believe that white supremacy and fascism and Naziism are icky scary ideas to be disavowed or vaguely countered (largely by pointing out logical inconsistencies in those ideas). They don't understand or believe that white supremacists are actual people with whom they could potentially be interacting online or in-person. They don't recognise white supremacist dog whistles, they don't recognise baseline obvious white supremacist rhetoric, they will see someone online spouting obvious white supremacist rhetoric and believe that said person is joking or being sarcastic.
Their idea of progressivism is inherently social—our social circle of the educated anti-racist élite are obviously against that sort of thing. The logical inverse also seems to apply—if someone is socially interacting with them, that person (by virtue of that social interaction) must belong to said circle of the educated anti-racist progressive élite. Their social circle is their politics. They have no understanding of fascism as anything dangerous, anything real, anything that must be seriously intellectually or physically countered. Probably this applies to a lot of self-identified "communists" too.
