Sometimes another person is… just in the way. But you would be advised NOT to try and hire a Hit Man because we see in the Netflix movie (that got a theatrical release), that most of the time they are just police. How much is true? Can you change your personality? And are hitmen just fancy serial killers?  Email us: [email protected] Follow us on Facebook: fb.me/KillerFunPodcast All the Tweets, er, POSTS: http://x.com/KillerFunPod

No Turn on Red
Welcome, I am attempting to write a blovel.
A novel in a blog format. It is a work in progress.
It is based on the truish story and experiences of a stroke survivor, battling with dark-robed demons in the ICU while unconscious.  His unconscious mind, believed he was stuck indefinitely at a red traffic light, a barrier he couldn't pass through until he had resolved crucial questions about the meaning of very strange occurrences in his life. He considered a number of coincidences; the synchronicity in his life; the half-forgotten or suppressed, intuitive abilities which may have once informed his spirit.
Red Herrings as opportunities. Coincidences as feint but meaningful signals of change to come; infinitesimal changes in moments of time engendered by the ever-humming life force of this immense, incomprehensible universe. Infinitesimal in magnitude, infinite in nature. In his mind, he enlisted the help of dear friends from his favorite local bar - some living and some whose souls persist in parallel dimensions. Smedley, our survivor, came out from a dark place in his mind to find peace and joy, eventually making the decision to wake up, and return to life, his friends and family, a completely transformed man. Feel free to add comments and feedback, Smedley Ziad's Note:  All the ideas and themes in this blovel are Mark's except in "More things in Heaven and Earth", a post I exhibited on my Facebook page after actually seeing a friend who had passed away.    I have only been asked to edit the work for grammar, syntax, punctuation and style.  What changes you read are those introduced by yours truly for the sake of clarity, consistency and harmony.  Ziad

Do you speak tru-ish?
Tumblr media
Consumers today don’t want to be sold to, they just want to have conversations with purpose-led brands.
People want precisely targeted and relevant messages to empower them throughout the buying process.
People have shorter attention spans than ever and can only tolerate 3-frame micro videos before getting bored.
We hear this kind of stuff all the time in the advertising world. Usually from the lips of some TED Talk guru who thinks they’ve discovered the marketing theory of everything, conveniently laid out in their new book, of course.
Heads nod in unison as this hollow-eyed huckster spews their snake oil from the stage. These are not dumb people in the audience. So why are they so captivated by this cult leader wannabe?
Because he is speaking the world’s most popular and hypnotizing language—Tru-ish.
Take a tried and true (dare I say obvious) insight, sprinkle in a few buzz words, add a dash of “this changes everything” energy, and you too can achieve master level fluency in this diabolical dialect.
That sprinkling of truth is what hooks you, a reputable delivery mechanism that lulls your brain into a state of unquestioning acceptance.
People don’t want to be sold to. Never did, really. But do they really want to have a conversation with the company who makes their toilet paper, even if said company donates half their rolls to underprivileged chimps in Liberia?
People who are ready to buy something do like to know that there’s a good deal available at their local store. But I’m not sure they want to tracked to every corner of the internet for the privilege.
And yes, we have lost some of our ability to pay attention; we’re more distracted than ever. But we’ll also spend an entire long weekend binging all 27 seasons of Law & Order SVU from the toilet so we never have to take a pee break. We’re complicated like that.
Tru-ish may not be a new language. But social media has helped fuel it’s spread, especially among the elite. Politicians, the press and business execs have all become remarkably fluent, knowing full well that most of us are nearly powerless to resist its appeal.
To give ourselves a fighting chance, we must learn to recognize Tru-ish before our minds have been seduced by its lilty brogue. Only then can we see it for what it truly is.
Good old-fashioned bullshit.

"Fact, celebrities and others that willingly chose to be on the RC, as part of their job, open themselves up to criticism and that is true of men, women, and those who are gender fluid. Part of the job description" this may be true-ish, but I think there's a line between criticism and being genuinely MEAN. Abby's known to shame make comments that are completely out of bounds. Surprised her issue is with Darren and not Mia this time. She just wants to bitch, no one cares THIS much about an outfit
I guess I agree about it being truish (even though I don’t like doing it, cause I know I would hate someone to do that to me).
And that’s true, not liking something is one thing. I saw lots of people on twitter not liking it, and that’s Okay. You don’t need to like it. But what she does is not not liking, she’s shaming him over that outfit. It’s freaking clothes, as you said, no one cares that much about that outfit.
I guess the problem is with Darren, cause he’s sending her an image that she doesn’t recognize, he sends her that 90s lover image, the rockstar. She deeply hates that Darren cause he scares her, he’s too far from Blarren, the only one she likes, she can’t get around that look so as everytime she can’t understand something or gets her head around something, she lashes out and loses it, and meltdowns. She’s scared cause the image he sends her is the Darren she hates from the bottom of her heart. And she’s scared shitless he’s the real one, not Blarren.

Small Town Life
Honestly, i’ve seen a bunch of posts about small town aesthetics and what not, and as someone who grew up in a small (ish) town those aesthetics are kind of accurate. But like, I live in a small town in California, so it’s different kind of small town than a lil’ southern town. Sort of, still racists but hey that’s America.
So technically, it’s considered desert where i live yet we’re an hour away from the coast but it is California so that means no fucking water and on the one week of rain we get a year (if we’re lucky) there’s always part of road that floods and fucks everyone over because there is literally two ways to get out of town so when we catch on fire we are fuckeddddd.
but anyway, the things that are true about (my) small town are:
Having a Main Road: we have a main road that goes through town (as ya probs guessed) that dead ass used to be called ‘Cold Grave Road’ because until about ten years ago there was only two traffic lights on the whole dammed thing. fucking two.
Big Fields: yeup, we have a shit ton of big open fields that used to be for diary farms but they moved out bc there ain’t no water. Now it’s just for hay and solar fields.
A Town Center: kind of? Like we do have a town center with a gas station and one of our three restaurants. The town council is also there so yey.
Farms everywhere: again, truish. There’s avocado groves, chicken farms, and horse ranches. Oooh, there’s one right on the other side of the road from me that during the summer uses blanks to train their horses to not spook from gun shots. (Don’t worry, no animals are harmed or shot jesus it’s not the wild wild west).
Religious: uh yes. yes yes yes yes, like there’s more churches than I can fucking count. I mean there’s one right by the high school. Within spittin’ distance from the baseball fields.
uh what else, I mean we don’t have an actual hospital. The nearest one is probably an hour away. There’s more veterinarians than human doctors. But we do have a dentist now! So suck that. We have one school district that every fucking kid goes through so we all know each other for years, y e a r s.

The Articled Particle: True Or Truish?
The Articled Particle: True Or Truish?
Ish. The names are changed while the timing isn’t. I did impersonate a client briefly and I did work for one who spent ages trying to escape the Eye’s clutches and suing them, or threatening to. No milkmaids were harmed however. I did surprise and embarrass the senior partner on his leaving his club when I bumped into him as I reversed out a sex shop in Soho. But I had been serving the owner…

Films Watched in 2022 - (108/???)
Jerry and Marge Go Large (2022) - David Frankel (2.5/5)
If all you want is a feel-good truish story to kill 90 minutes, I hope you have a Paramount+ subscription; however, Cranston and Benning are truly wasted as the protagonists (as is Rainn Wilson, who mysteriously provides unnecessary narration at the top and bottom of the film as well as playing a less well-kempt version of his convenience story worker from Juno). Maybe something substantial could have come from an adaptation of the source material, but the director of Devil Wears Prada and writer of Yogi Bear and Wild Hogs aren't going to give it to us. What we needed was "man figures out a way to beat the odds" and what it somehow ends up being is "man realizes the way he beat the odds prevents him from connecting emotionally to those that should matter most," which is a huge gulf; there's also nothing resembling an antagonist until roughly halfway through.

Title: The Last King (15) Year: 2016 Running Time: 96 minutes Director: Nils Gaup Cast: Jakob Oftebro (Skjervald), Kristofer Hivju (Torstein), Torkel Dommersnes Soldal (Egil) Notes: In Norwegian. Rating: 8 Thoughts: During a civil war at the start of the 13th Century, one Norwegian faction whisks away the infant heir to the throne as the other side seeks to kill him. This was a story I didn't know, a real feature of such "origin" films. The cinematography is at times spectacular, making the most of the icy scenes and mountains. In addition the lead role is very strong and there is a good supporting cast. It becomes a little harder to judge the script as it is subtitled but even with that there was a nice pace to the narrative. The real feature of the film is the way the fighting men interract with the baby and deal with the challenging situation. The child could have so easily just become a prop but instead they come across as convincing. It's a good truish story that is well delivered.

ugh is Bo Rhap coming out earlier in the UK?? you mean i’m gonna have to basically not be on Tumblr for over 1 week because it will be spoilers ahoy?!
i mean, yeah, it’s presumably all true or truish things so i know the basic story, but what they show & don’t show, how they show it, etc. is important, so i can’t risk seeing people’s reactions til i see it.

Truish? Idk if is describe me as “super cool”, im more lazy than chill. As for the last part I mean it depends and most of times i prefer to deescalate but hmm yeah I’m morally okay with hurting someone if they try to harm me
