I’m back - with a Review of my Tarot Collection!✨

Hey Tumblr fellows! It’s been awhile! Last year was a pretty deep year of shadow work for me so I haven’t been around the blogging space in a little while. I also discovered the Fediverse which is where I spend most of my social media time now. It’s amazing!

This year is my 30th birthday and my hubby is gifting me a new tarot deck, so I thought it might be fun to do a review of the tarot and oracle decks I’ve collected over the past 8 years and share them with you! And perhaps you’ll discover some that you’ve never seen before to add to your own collections!

1. Age Of Aquarius Tarot by Yana LéVie

(Ordered on Etsy, will review once it arrives).

I love the aquatic feel of this deck so much. But what makes this deck really unique is it has 88 cards! It features the major and minor arcanas, and a THIRD arcana has been added to this deck called the Universal Arcana (hence, the additional cards). The guidebook also seems really beginner friendly but I'll review this deck properly once I actually have it in my possession.

2. The Starchild Tarot (Akashic Edition) by Danielle Noel

(Ordered from her website).

I purchased this one for it's art style, it was the second deck I ever owned. The images are absolutely stunning. Reading the symbolism in this deck isn't quite as intuitive as other decks and would likely be more difficult for beginners without the guidebook, but some are decent. It's truly a beautiful deck to own for those who love this art style and pastel tones. The guidebook is also fairly detailed and includes upright and reversal meanings, as well as some associations.

3. True Black Tarot by Arthur Wang

This deck is so polished, I've never touched cards softer than these ones, and such great quality! A lot of love went into the production of this deck, both in the card stock and the imagery. This is one of my more symbolic decks and I use this one primarily for shadow work. My only grievance with it is the way the cards are labelled. The Minor Arcana card labels are just Roman Numerals and it can be confusing to find some of the cards in the guidebook at times. Arthur Wang recently created another tarot deck I am looking to get in the future called Ephemera, which looks to be just as stunning as his True Black Tarot, except instead of a black theme they are white and gold. It's a brand new deck that just finished funding on Kickstarter and is due to be released this Spring.

4. Spirit De La Lune Oracle by Marissa Rankin and Rachael Tarantella

(Ordered from their website - 🚫 I DON’T recommend buying from them. 🚫 )

This is probably the most unique deck I own, as the cards are round, but also, it just has such a unique system and each moon phase and mandala are so beautifully detailed, both in the artwork and in the guidebook. It is a very well done deck, but I don't recommend buying from them directly unfortunately as I had a really negative experience with them in the past. I'd suggest getting this deck from a third party seller if possible if anyone wants it. I purchased a planner from them awhile after purchasing the deck because I loved the deck so much. It was very late arriving in the mail and my husband and I were in the process of moving residences. Had it arrived on time it wouldn't have been any issue, but it didn't arrive before we moved and so I reached out to the seller explaining the situation to see if anything could be done. They were really nice about it in the beginning and offered to send a replacement to our new address, but then after that message they gave me the silent treatment for weeks, they would read my messages asking for an update, but wouldn't respond. They just completely ghosted and never fulfilled the replacement as they had said they would. As a business owner myself, I felt this was handled really poorly, that if they weren't genuine about sending the replacement they shouldn't have said they would do that and then go unresponsive and not follow through. So as much as I still love and use this deck, I can't encourage others to buy it from them, because should it get lost in the mail or any other unfortunate circumstances arise, there will be no help from them and they will ghost.

5. The Constellation Tarot by Iryna/Artismymagic

This was my very first tarot deck and I absolutely love it, though, in hindsight it is really not a good deck for beginners at all. I am a very visual person and LOVE the artwork in this deck, but it is very difficult to read on an intuitive level unless you know what certain constellations mean as many are what make up the major arcana in this deck. The guidebook also is not a very detailed and not great quality. That might have changed since I purchased it years ago as she did make some updates since then. I still love this deck and use it occasionally, and have had a lovely experience with the creator Iryna. She made some updates to the packaging since I purchased it years ago and mailed me the new box to keep my cards in.

6. The Weaver Tarot (Journeyer Edition) by Threads Of Fate

This is such an aesthetically pleasing deck. The cards are beautiful holographic with foil and I think it is decent for it's symbolism. It comes with a reference card that is really helpful to show what different card symbols mean that they repeat throughout the deck. As much as I fell in love with the aesthetic of this deck, I never really ended up connecting with it. I didn't connect with the language within the guidebook and felt there were some inconsistencies with the symbolism. Just not a good frequency match I guess. Hoping to maybe one day trade it for a different tarot deck I want more. There’s no doubt this is a stunning deck though, and the quality is incredible!

7. Isis Oracle by Alana Fairchild

(Purchased on Amazon).

I will NEVER NOT recommend this deck! This deck is by far one of the most detailed decks I have ever owned and connect with on such a deep level. This is one of the decks I always turn to when I need loving guidance or spiritual "mom" advice. It isn't just about the artwork with this deck, but the guidebook is so incredibly detailed. The messages for each card are several pages and every card includes a ritual that connects with it and the message it brings to help you go inward with it. This is just such a special deck. This is one of those rare decks that you can just tell the creator of the deck made it from deeply spiritual place, that her spiritual process was incorporated throughout the entire process. I have never encountered that with any deck before, not like this. It feels like many of these messages were channeled. I just love this deck and can't recommend it enough.

8. Starlight Frequencies Oracle by Leah of ShopDarkMoonCrystals

(Ordered from Etsy shop).

I am so glad I got this when she first released this deck because this version of the deck is no longer in production. The creator of the deck released this version in the beginning but decided to go in a totally different direction with it, so the new version looks nothing like this one. But I really like this version better than the new one. The backgrounds have really soft color gradients with holographic accents on each of the cards. It is a very minimalistic deck, giving only minimal guidance in the guidebook, but it was intended this way as this deck was meant to be more for intuitive practice.

9. Forest Of Enchantment Tarot by Lunaea Weatherstone and Meraylah Allwood

This deck is one I had my eye on for awhile before purchasing. I fell in love with the artwork because it reminded me so much of the fairytale storybooks I used to read as a child. So much love and creativity went into this deck. The suits have a different name than traditional tarot decks, and the artwork is so detailed and has so much symbolism. You really gotta study the images in this deck as there are so many hidden details and symbols within the artwork. There are two decks in my collection that really speak to me and seem as though they really come to life, and it is this one and the Isis Oracle previously mentioned. These two decks are my main go-to decks, because they feel so kindred to me. Highly recommend the Forest of Enchantment Tarot!

10. Lucid Dreams Tarot by Britta/St.Soleil

(Purchased on Etsy, though, their Etsy shop was shut down. This deck can still be purchased from their website)

In my opinion, this is the best tarot deck for beginners out there! It has the upright and reversal meanings right on the cards, as well as the astrological symbols, zodiac and elemental keys. The guidebook is incredibly thorough as well and includes the meanings to everything on the cards, including a guide to numerology in the tarot! The artwork in this deck is heavily based on the Rider-Waite tarot, though, in my opinion the artwork in this deck is so much more appealing and just looks so elegant! I highly recommend this deck to any beginner. As for their Etsy shop being shut down, this was due to them being overwhelmed with orders a couple years ago during the holiday season. The decks were a few weeks delayed in being shipped out, which resulted in a whole bunch of people leaving negative reviews and requesting refunds in fear they wouldn't arrive in time for Christmas. People still got their decks but all the refund requests and negative reviews due to delays I think got them shut down. I still recommend purchasing from them because they are honest, they just got overwhelmed with more orders than they could handle I think for the season. The deck can be purchased from their website.

11. Archangel Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue

(Purchased at a thrift store)

Under other circumstances I probably wouldn't have purchased this deck, but I found the Angel Card Reading Kit that still had the DVD for it inside, and it was such a cheap price I couldn't pass it up! Though it's not my particular taste, the artwork is pretty though and I have had some really amazing experiences with it. In 2020 I made a Vision Board and drew a card from this deck for the year, and the card I drew was the Writing card with Archangel Gabriel. This felt like such a divine message for me as I did go on to do a lot of meaningful writing that year and helped a lot of people through it. Ever since it has been my go-to deck for angelic messages and guidance and will remain a permanent part of my collection.

There is a bit of controversy with Doreen Virtue. A few years ago she switched he path to Christianity and discouraged the use of divination. A lot of people betrayed by her for this and got rid of decks they owned by her. Personally, her change in spirituality doesn't bother me. I understand why people feel this way about her work now, but the way I see it, everyone is on their own journey and as we grow on our path, we change. Just because she switched paths and no longer supports divination and her old work doesn't mean that what she made in the past no longer has value. I've come to love this deck, and her lifestyle change has nothing to do with me or the value this deck has brought to me on my journey. To each their own!

Is Your Blockchain Project Playing Checkers Or Chess?

Regardless of the occupation, plan or derivative, there are two paths you can choose which ultimately lead to different outcomes. While there are exceptions to either one, the results for each option, for the most part, will be broadly indicative of the effort and planning that is put forth from the outset. So it is with gaming when comparing 2 similar options where the victor of one achieves a brief high, whereas the other’s winning accomplishment is much more satisfying due to the effort, patience and forethought needed to achieve the win. In checkers, the primary objective is to get rid of all your opponent’s pieces, while in chess, the goal is to achieve checkmate to your opponent’s king, where it cannot escape capture. While on the surface, it sounds like a fairly simple mission, but in reality a fair amount of skill, planning and calculation are needed due to the multiple layers (pieces) in a chess game as opposed to the 2-color / one-dimensional aspect of checkers. In the Crypto / Blockchain space, the subtleties between the two gaming options draw a perfect analogy when comparing projects. Chess is often regarded as intricate and challenging due to its varied options and wide range of moves, while checkers is less complex based on the standard movement of red and black pieces. This also leads to the subject of longevity as while one project can be quickly assembled and completed, others take time and careful planning to realize the end-goal. Know What You Own There are 2 directions when taking on any investment, crypto or otherwise. One option would be to simply follow others who have made significant gains themselves, but without any research on behalf of the investor. The other, less popular option is to become a student of the space by examining multiple projects, each with their varying layers so as to learn the true value each one provides. The latter option, while certainly not the easiest, can also be the most profitable long-term as well as being the most stable due to your understanding of the chosen coin or token’s risk as opposed to just blindly following the marketing prowess of a 3rd-party. Going back to the Chess vs. Checkers analogy, both games are played on an 8-by-8 grid with 64 contrasting colored tiles, but that’s where the similarities end. In checkers, a standard chip can become a king, whereas with chess, a pawn can be promoted to a queen, a knight, a rook, or a bishop, thus giving greater dimensions when it comes to strategic concepts and foresight.

The paths described above draw the same parallels in the crypto world to a one-dimensional (checkers) perspective (i.e. ‘let’s wrap up this game quickly’) via a meme-coin which may get lots of air-time and promotional exuberance on social media, but also has the greatest odds of being dumped at the lowest spot. Yes, there is the possibility of fast gains, but this is by far the exception. Taking the multi-dimensional approach, outside the realm of the get-rich-quick thought-process, commands the investor to consider all of the future moves before ‘aping-in’ to a project. Rather than just taking for granted the so-called easy gains for any particular token, the chess player looks far beyond the white paper by pondering on elements that will lead to long-term viability such as past performance, partnerships and the probability of attaining the stature of a true RWA (Real World Asset). Your Money, Your Choice Blockchain technology is still in a very early phase of its lifecycle, being around for only 15 years with the introduction of Bitcoin back in 2009, and in this short span it has become the 4th largest asset in the world at 1.25 Trillion in market capitalization, just behind Gold, Apple and Microsoft. In this short amount of time it has surpassed the total value of the Silver market, Wal-Mart and even Saudi Aramco and feeding the speculative nature of the asset class. Not all blockchains are created equal, as comparing premium cryptos such as Bitcoin or XRP to the Squid Game token is akin to comparing a grapefruit to a leaf of lettuce. So one must keep abreast of the facts and study the market carefully and do the hard research needed in order to know for yourself a speculative asset with staying power instead of a fugazi. For those just getting into the space, cryptocurrency is highly risky and uber-speculative, but at the same time provides opportunities not found in traditional finance. Being a successful cryptocurrency investor will command you to recognize real value in a sea of noise and continually pay attention at the most inconvenient times. If your project has all of the facets of a true champion but is not reflecting in the gains as compared to many of the ‘Flash in the Pan’ coins, the hardest part will be your belief level long-term, which is a risk you must bear alone. This is why playing the long-game must be calculated in many ways similar to playing 3D-Chess instead of hoping for a fast-lane payout with tokens which on the surface may perform well today, but could be obliterated tomorrow. Summing it up, while both checkers and chess share similarities in terms of being played on the same board (the Blockchain), they differ significantly in their objectives, complexity, pieces, and strategic depth. It is your call whether you wish to take the easy route, or instead gird your loins with max-pain for potential gains further on down the road.

Sourdough Bread That Tastes Like Cheez-Its When Toasted

Let me preface this by saying this was an ACCIDENT. I had made some sourdough bread that was solidly okay but not GREAT, and had been eating it raw when I remembered my toaster oven has a "broil" setting. Much to my surprise, when combined with some salted butter, I was flung violently back 4 years ago to the last bag of cheez-its I will ever eat in my life.

I will not lie to you: this absolutely is impacted by the composition of your specific sourdough starter. That being said, here is the recipe:

Ingredients (makes 2 loaves)

1 cup sourdough starter at 3:2 flour:water, preferably fed 8-12 hours prior

3/4 cup goat milk, warm (you can use dairy if you want but this did impact the flavor)

1/4 cup granulated white sugar

1/4 cup SALTED butter, melted and cooled slightly so it doesn't kill the yeast

1/2 cup leftover mashed potatoes (I use gold potatoes but russet would probably work also)

1 tsp. salt

3.5-4 cups flour

Instructions

Mix the milk, starter, and sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.

In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix together the potatoes, egg, butter, and salt.

Add 2 cups of the flour and the milk/sugar/starter mixture to the bowl. Mix until combined. I usually start with a whisk for the first cup of flour, then move to a wooden spoon for the second. You can use your stand mixer here if you want, but the flour WILL go everywhere if, like me, you don't have any kind of guard for the bowl.

Add in flour in half-cup measures, mixing until you reach a dough-like consistency (usually approx. 3-3.5 cups). Once it starts to get hard to mix, you can start using the dough hook for your stand mixer, but this probably won't save you from flour on your counters. You may need more flour if you are in a humid climate. The dough should be sticky enough that you can't pick it up without it sticking to your hands, but cohesive enough that you CAN pick it up.

Knead on medium-high speed for 7-10 minutes, adding flour as needed. The dough should be somewhat sticky but shouldn't stick to the bottom of the bowl; if it is creating a dough-nado in the middle of your bowl that stretches but holds to the bowl when you attempt to lift the stand mixer head, it needs more flour. I usually add about 1/2-3/4 cup of flour during the kneading phase, depending on humidity

Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover tightly. This dough will not quite double in size, but make sure you don't cut off its ability to grow with whatever you cover it with. Let rise in a slightly-cooler (70-76F) place for 10-12 hours (warm places will speed up the rise but will also encourage more of the sour bacteria to grow, so do with that what you will)

Dividethe risen dough in half and place in lined or oiled loaf pans. I use cast iron loaf pans, which behave VERY differently from non-stick, so be aware that the baking times below are based on that. If you use non-stick, your bread will not rise as much and may take longer to cook.

Let the dough rise for another 2-6 hours, until approximately the size and shape of a somewhat-short bread loaf

Bake at 350F for anywhere from 35-55 minutes (possibly up to an hour at sea level). Bread should have an internal temp of approx. 195 and should sound hollow when knocked on. It should be golden to golden-brown on top, but truthfully just use a meat thermometer and save yourself the trouble

For the true cheez-it taste, toast the bread until the slice is golden-brown, then spread with salted butter.

For best results, make dough in the evening, shape it mid-morning, and bake it in the late afternoon. I made the dough at night, shaped it before catching my bus to work, and baked it when I got home about 6 hours later.

This is Part 5 of a series of PACs specifically tailored to the theme of self-transformation. You're in the midst of creating new habits, aren't you? Testing and trialling new methods of working because you want to increase your productivity. You're working on building a solid bridge to the future. You have plenty of ideas you're eager to make manifest, too. But there's a catch-22 also: I think you're forgetting to deal with your troubles from the past. This isn't to say your focusing on making the ideal future is wrong, after all, your Soul is currently focusing on your future projections!🎉There's a good reason for that: your Soul is preparing you for a wonderful opportunity, even a wonderful Life altogether! But in order to arrive safely there, you must learn balance—all so you have a stable, solid foundation to build your amazing future upon.

Grimoire Overview

I decided to copy over some of the basics I put in my grimoire so I can access them even when I don’t have the physical book with me :)

Directions:

East: Associated with Air, the color yellow,

South: Associated with Fire, red,

West: Water, Blue

North: Earth, Green.

Elements:

Air:

Direction: East. Colors: Yellow, Light Blue, White, Silver. Zodiac: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Tarot: Swords/Spades. Magical tools: Incense, feathers. Air is the element of flexibility, instability, intellect, and detachment. It moves quickly, is good for workings involving change, movement, and speed. Air energy is also good for communication and contact with spiritual beings, and is linked to communication, mental activity, ideas, and social interactions.

Earth:

Direction: North. Colors: Brown, Green, Gray. Zodiac: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn. Tarot: Pentacles/Diamonds. Magickal tools: The pentagram, salt, and stones. Earth is the element of stability. It is solid, and has a very slow and steady energy. Good for spells involving slow change, patience, or gradual developments. Associated with permanence, grounding, security, and endurance.

Fire:

Direction: South. Colors: Red and Orange. Zodiac: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. Tarot: Wands/Clubs. Magickal Tools: Candles, Wand. Fire is the element of clarity, passion, kinship, transformation, and inspiration. It is associated with vitality, creativity, action, daring, and enthusiasm. It moves fast, and is volatile and unpredictable. Fire energy is best for workings you want to kick up the power off, or that you want to see rapid change from. It is also good for spells involving transformation. It can also be used in banishing, divination, and purification.

Water:

Direction: West. Colors: Aqua, Blue, Indigo, Purple. Zodiac: Scorpio, Cancer, Pisces. Tarot: Cups/Hearts. Magickal tools: Chalice, Cauldron. Water is the element of movement, cleansing, and healing. It is associated with nourishing, cleansing and clearing, purification, intuition and emotion, creativity, lunar energy, growth, and abundance. Water energy is changable and unpredictable, but slightly less volatile than fire. Water energy is good to call on for change or to stimulate movement, or for cleansing, healing, and purification magic.

Spirit/Ether:

Isn’t technically an element, but is often treated as one. Is represented on the uppermost point of a pentagram. Spirit links the 4 elements, is associated with the divine.

Moon Phases:

New Moon: New beginning, refreshment, restarts, planning, ideas, a time to start new projects:

Waxing Crescent: Setting intentions, growth.

First Quarter: Decision making, action, reflection on decisions, change.

Waxing Gibbous: Clarification, detail, assessing goals.

Full Moon: Release, grounding, setting goals, making promises.

Waning Gibbous: Gratitude, reflection on blessings and things you’re grateful for.

3rd Quarter: Forgiveness, forgiving yourself, forgiving others.

Waning Crescent: Surrender, letting go, being mindful, avoid trying to hold on too tight to control at the cost of health and peace.

Color Magick:

Yellow: Abundance, life, joy, friendship, action, communication, intellect, inspiration, intuition, wisdom, pleasure, travel.

Orange: Creativity, adaptability confidence, energy, freedom, justice, goals, ambition, celebration.

Red: Passion, love, seduction, courage, energy, desire, action, change, power, motivation, overcoming obstacles.

Pink: Love, self care, healing, compassion, beauty, reconciliation, sensuality, kindness, nurturing, family.

Purple: Intuition, strength, creativity, enlightenment, psychic protection, projects, astrology, authority, emotion, imagination, wisdom, truth, independance, power, addiction, influence.

Blue: Peace, protection, communication, clarity, honesty, trust, leadership, justice, sleep.

Green: Earth, growth, earthly possessions, longevity, money, fertility, abundance, action, change, creativity, luck, harmony, peace, environment.

Black: Protection, warding, absorbing, acceptance, banishing, binding, strength, security, justice.

White: Stand in for other colors, cleansing, clearing, purity, purification, attracting, grounding, protection, peace, healing, divination,

Brown: Hard work, animals, grounding, balance, stability, endurance.

Grey/Silver: Healing, awareness, psychic ability, purification, moon, sea, stars, divination, femininity, success.

Gold: Abundance, fame, fortune, money, power, masculinity, sun, luxury, positivity, ambition, creativity.

Pentagrams:

Uppermost point: Spirit.

Upper left point: Air

Lower left point: Earth.

Upper right point: Water.

Lower right point: Fire.

To use a pentagram for summoning/invoking, draw the pentagram so that the first line goes towards the point of the element being invoked, or the element what you are invoking is associated with. To banish, the first line is drawn from that point away.

Uses of a Pentagram:

Creating a comfortable place for a visiting spirit, opening a window to the energy of a certain element or the being/thing invoked.

Days of The Week:

Sunday: Governed by the Sun. Solar energy, for advancement, ambition, confidence, creativity, dominance, egotism, expression, fame, fatherhood, friendship, greed, growth, happiness, healing, health, illumination, individuality, joy, leadership, life, manifestation, masculinity, motivation, personality, personal power, power, pride, prosperity, renown, self esteem, sense of self, strength, vitality, and wealth.

information about ceramics that you didn't need to know but I'm telling you anyway because we love a metaphor, part 3- recycling clay:

this was mentioned in chapter 8 of "ten reasons" and it's all 100% true.

In ceramics, you can take greenware, essentially dried clay that has not been fired yet, smash it to bits and recycle it into other clay. there is a variety of reason you would have greenware:

1. from trimming pots/other vessels on the wheel. you don't keep every part of the vessel that you make on the wheel. when it's about half-way dry and you're certain you're not going to make it anymore, you can take a trimming tool and smooth out the edges/create specific shapes in the pot. all those trimmings that come off? you can put in a bucket, and save for recycling. all the parts that didn't quite make it. all the pieces that you could do without, can be recycled to be used again.

2. you made something and waited too long to paint it or decided that you didn't like it after all (when i ceramics-ed, i was notorious for letting all my things turn to greenware that was basically unusable because it got too dry and wouldn't be able to go into the kiln). that entire piece can be broken down and put in the bucket with the trimmings to be used again. to make something new.

greenware is also interesting because it's an in-between phase (did i mention we love liminal spaces over here?) and is a phase you need to pay attention to. clay turns color when it's ready to be fired, and when it's good to glaze. there is also select windows of opportunities you have with greenware where you can rehydrate and reshape it. Say you made a pot, you were happy with it, 3 days go by, you look at it again and you're like-what the hell is this atrocity?- GOOD NEWS! You can go back and fix it! You can rewet the clay! You can try again!

But, moving along.

All the trimmings and broken down greenware (which you can break by literally throwing against walls or stepping on and I highly recommend this), and put it in a bucket. Then you fill the bucket up with a shit ton of water and you wait. You can go back and check it every couple days--you put your hand into the depths of muddy, foggy clay water and see what consistency it's at. Once it's starting to feel moist, you basically work blind in that bucket of water and try to push the broken parts together until they adhere and then they're whole again.

And then, you have to be sure to take the clay out of the water, and wedge it (remember when we talked about this?) to get the air bubbles out before you attempt to make with it. But like...the nice thing is, if something falls apart again... you can always recycle it.

there's a really popular....image of ceramics that I've seen on tumblr of the art practice: Kintsugi, which is a Japanese ceramics practice where they fix broken pottery with gold. the idea is to embrace flaws and imperfections. That essentially damage...can be beautiful. it can be "good damage"

and no hate to this at all, some days, i get this. somedays this is so important to hold onto. this hope that there's a bigger picture and a brighter world. but most days, i live in the space where...sometimes damage is just...damage. (grief is just grief. it doesn't have to happen for a reason, there doesn't have to be a bigger meaning, sometimes it just...is grief.)

bad things happen and that sucks. you can embrace something and acknowledge something without trying to make it beautiful (and like, sometimes damage really isn't beautiful no matter how you slice it). and in terms of "ten reasons"--there was no glamorous way to talk about, and live with your husband of 10 years cheating on you. For Remus, even though it lead him to U.P. where he met Sirius, he could've gone his whole life without experiencing that type of heartache. It wasn't good damage. It was just damage.

But...that..doesn't mean you can't take the damage, put yourself back together, and recycle.

Shining Armor

Mirio stood closely to the princess, watching guard as she looked at a street market, amazed by all the crystals and rocks that were on the table.

“Sir Mirio, may I get this one?” The young Princess asked as she tugged at Mirio’s finger, pointing to a crystal necklace. He turned his attention to her and smiled.

“Of course, Princess! You can have anything you’d like, and I told you that you can just call me Mirio.” The knight chuckled as he pulled some gold coins from his satchel.

“The Princess can take it free of charge!” The old women said, handing the necklace to Eri who refused it.

“She won’t take it unless it’s paid for.” Mirio smiled, handing her extra coins. “For your generousity, I’ll pay you extra.” The blond smiled, taking the necklace and placing it around Eri’s neck. She did a spin and smiled, making the old lady tear up.

“I’m so glad we have such a beautiful and cheerful princess in our kingdom now.” Another old witch popped in, holding a staff to keep herself up.

Mirio nodded, remembering the day he helped save her. That is exactly how he became so respected, being he risked his life to save this princess from a very evil dragon king. This kingdom was accepting of all nature and races. You could be a witch, troll, giant, dwarf, half human and half of anything else and you’d still be excepted with open arms into the Ultra Kingdom. So, when Mirio was almost killed by the dragon king, he was able to strike the last blow, pushing his sword through the eye of the dragon king. Thanks to all the witches in Ultra, he was able to be saved and have all his injuries healed for the most part. Being his injuries were very sever, they took Mirio off the front lines and now have him as the sole protector of the new princess.

“Mirio!! Look, they have sweets!” Eri said, dragging Mirio towards another booth. It’s been about three month’s since he saved Eri, and it always made him tear up to see her so happy now.

“Sir Knight Mirio! Please take these pastries! You’ve fought so hard for us and protect our sunshine! We don’t know what we would do without you and Princess Eri.” The baker said kneeling down, holding a basket for him.

“Why than-” Mirio started to take the basket but was stopped by Eri. She put a stack of gold coins on the table before nodding with a smile.

“I wanted snacks anyways!” The young one said with a smile before skipping off. He grabbed the basket and thanked the man before quickly going after Eri. Mirio noticed she was playing around with two boys close to her age.

“Hi! I’m Knight Axel Y/L/N! I shall protect you princess!” The youngest of the two boys yelled, holding out a stick to the air. Mirio watched with a grin as the three made a scene in the street.

“Not for long! I am an evil knight from the All for One Kingdom! I will take the princess for my kingdom!” The oldest yelled as he held a stick that had blue paint on it. This was one of the knight’s named Dabi from the All for One Kingdom which was known for their harsh ways but after the attack to the dragon king, they’ve been a lot more friendly to Ultra Kingdom. Also, recently a new rule was added where to not talk about what happened with her. Eri loved playing with kids but some kids would re-create the scene saying they were the dragon king but it sparked such bad memories for her that it’s a rule for them to not speak of it.

“Knight Axel! Protect me from that nasty knight!” Eri yelled as she stuck her tongue out at the boy. The two boys stared fighting with their sword’s and Mirio was very shocked to see that they both fought very well with their fake swords. Mirio walked over to the two and clapped when he saw the youngest push the oldest to the ground and held his fake sword to his throat.

“Very good form you two!” Mirio said with a smiled, making the two boys stand to attention before they bowed. Eri quickly found her way back to Mirio’s side, sneaking around in the basket’s of goodies before handing them to the boys who smiled brightly.

“There you are! Hey! You two didn’t steal these did you?” You asked as you walked over to your younger brothers.

“No! Princess gave them to us!” Axel said as he held it tight to his chest.

“Princess?”You asked as you looked at the little girl. You quickly knelt down and bowed your head.

“I’m sorry if these knuckle heads I call my brothers bothered you, Princess.” You apologized with a smile and a chuckle. She shook her head and smiled back.

“Nope! We were just playing. Can we play more often please please please!!” Eri begged Mirio, tugging on his arm, making his armor clink and rattle.

“If that is okay with you miss?” He asked, making you look up at him. Once you made eye contact you almost gasped being it was Knight Mirio. You’ve heard of his adventures but what’s more commonly talked about with females is his looks. God, where the rumors true. You bowed your head again before getting up and holding your thin cloak over your body.

“I don’t know. I’d love for them to but I wouldn’t want the Princess to get dirty or see where we live. We aren’t well off.” You spoke to him once you stood up, careful for Eri not to hear.

“Eri doesn’t judge! She just want’s play mates.” Mirio giggled before his eyes met yours. “If its a privacy reason, they can always come to the castle. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her bond so well with any other kids.” He said looking at the three who were playing again.

“I truly appreciate that offer, but they don’t have any other clothes besides their sleep wear, and my work won’t let me travel with them to the castle. We live on the outskirts.” You shamefully admitted. The outskirts of Ultra Kingdom was were low poverty homes were, if homes is what you could call them. The outskirts had a lot of crime in the area. Mirio could see the pain in your eyes and the stress was weighing on you. No one has ever told Eri about the outskirts since the King believed a princess shouldn’t know about such things being she went through so much already. Mirio knew that if Eri knew, she’d run the castle broke trying to help everyone

“I’m sorry, we must get going.” You quickly turned to leave but were stopped to see the three kids in front of you.

“Can we play longer, ma’am?” The princess asked with pleading eyes.

“I’m so sorry princess, but we have to leave.” You apologized, quickly grabbing your brother’s hands and starting to walk off.

“Wait!” Eri yelled before running over to you. You stopped when she pulled on your cloak. Her action caused it to slip off, exposing your very low cut red dress that was accentuated with a black corset that pushed up your bust. There were gasps heard and murmurs about what they have just seen.

“Is she a-” “She must be-” “Outskirts?” “Prostitute?” “Whore-” Could be picked out of the crowd. You quickly pulled your cloak back on, flustered at what just happened. Most women wore neutral color but never colors like red or black.

“I’m sorry about you’re cloak! But I want you to have this so it’ll give me a reason to see you all again!” Eri smiled, completely un-phased by what happened. Your eyes welled with tears as you held the crystal necklace. You slipped it over your head before you nodded and ran off.

“Let’s go princess.” Mirio said as he picked her up, watching your form get smaller and smaller in the distance.

“What’s a whore?” Eri asked as Mirio walked.

“I’ll explain later, just rest.” Mirio hushes, holding Eri close to him as she slowly fell asleep as he walked.

“So she’s a prostitute. That’s why she’s scared of her little brothers playing with Eri. She doesn’t want them to talk about her or the outskirts with Eri while she is gone.” Mirio talked to himself in his chambers as he removed his knight armor.

“Come on, eat up.” You huffed as you fed your younger brothers some bread and very watered down soup.

“But it’s so bland.” Axel whined as he still ate.

“Shut up! Y/n works hard for this!” The oldest fussed, making you scowl at him but smiled because he knew just how hard you work.

“Adrian, mouth.” You huffed before walking over to the table to join them.

Adrain was about 11 so he kinda knew everything being you had to grow up quick if you lived in the outskirts. He was also your shoulder to cry on when you got stressed. You always apologized because no child should have to deal with this. Axel was 8 and you were 26. Your mother had you very young because she was also a prostitute but it was a meet up that went wrong. She then had another child with her first husband 15 years later when she turned 31. Then with her second husband she had her third child at 34. She died last year by taking her own life. You knew it would happen one day but never so soon but you were also surprised she held out that long after everything. You assumed it was also due to the sickness she had around the time.

“Alright Adrian, I’m going to work. Take care of our little brother okay. And remember if I don’t come back or if someone else tries to come here, you know where to go.” You told him, earning a nod from the boy. You looked at Axel to see him asleep on the cot with a wool blanket over him.

Mirio got dressed into some darker clothing along with a dark green cloak. Eri was protected by two other guards at night so Mirio could rest. However, tonight he was on a search, a search for you. He headed out, saying he was just going for a late night walk.

He hopped on top his horse before riding off down to the outskirts. He stopped about a mile out and tied his horse to a pole. Mirio walked into the outskirts and kept his head down, knowing he’d attract a lot of attention if he was seen. The blonde looked around a few dark allies before he finally found someone who looked like you. He walked over to what he thought was you and tapped your shoulder.

“You looking for a fun night boy?” The woman said but when she turned around, it was a goblin woman who just had similar hair like you.

“Oh- sorry, wrong person.” Mirio mumbled before walking down another ally.

“Look, I said I won’t do it! I do business only at the customer’s house, not mine so buzz of!” You huffed as a scraggly old man kept grabbing at your exposed skin, making you walk a little faster to get to the cabin where a lot of prostitutes go to escape creepy men.

Mirio could hear you familiar voice and quickly followed it before seeing the situation. He walked over to the man and quickly grabbed his wrist that was reaching for your ass.

“She said buzz off, now why don’t you listen to her, hm?” Mirio asked, only exposing his sarcastic smile, making the man buck up.

“Who do you think you are, son?!” The old man yelled, making Mirio move his cloak to expose his sword that hung from his belt. “Well, looks like I’ve made a mistake. My bad sir.” The man wobbled away, cursing at the ground.

“Thank you but I don’t need protection from another cre-” You were cut off when he exposed his face to you with a big smile.

“Hey, I never caught your name.” Mirio smiled but you only turned away and started to walk to the cabin.

“I don’t do friendships. Get out of here before you get robbed.” You said with a huff.

“I’m here on business!” He made up, walking in front of you. He held a stack of gold coins. “How long will this get me?”

“One hour. Let’s go. Keep your head down.” You snatched the coins and put them in small black satchel you had connected to your dress. This amount would actually get someone about three hours. You didn’t even want to take it being he is royal and your not but you knew he’d just be persistent. The two of you got to a private room and you began to take off your corset.

“AHh! NO no, I just wanna talk to you!” Mirio said, blushing brightly as he covered his face.

“Talk? Fine, make it quick I guess. And its y/n” You said as you continued to take off your corset anyways. Mirio removed his sword and place it against the wall.

“What are you doing?” He asked as you sat on the bed in just your dress.

“Getting comfortable, what do you think?” You asked with a small chuckle at how soft Mirio looked. “So what did you want to talk about?” You asked as you admired his built body that sat cross-legged on the bed.

“I want you to know that Eri really wants to play with you brothers. We wouldn’t mind housing you and your siblings.” Mirio started but you cut him off quickly.

“I don’t want your charity. I understand you’re trying to be nice and all, but it isn’t fair to all the other women working like me. Why should I get housing while they still struggle?” You questioned, pulling at a small thread on your red dress.

“Well-…” Damn, Mirio was stuck because you did have a point. He needed a way to make this seem fair. “What if we did it like we had a big play date with the kingdom and whoever Eri likes to play with the most gets to spend a week at the castle. So that way its just a way for you too take a break and have your siblings live like royalty.” Mirio explained with a bright smile.

“If we win.” You said as you fiddled with the necklace Eri gave you. “But fine, as long as its putting us on the same level and don’t be biased!” You warned before getting up and dressed back into your corset.

“Why are you getting dressed? We still have about 40 minutes left.” Mirio said standing up

“Help me with this please.” You said before answering his question. “I also have to work and you need to get back to the kingdom to rest and bring together this big idea. No need for me to waste your time Sir Knight Mirio.” You explained as he gently pulled on the strings to tighten your corset. “Ngh-harder. Pull the strings harder.” You huffed as the corset was tight around your chest but the way you asked kinda sounded lewd, making Mirio slightly aroused. He quickly pulled the strings tight and tied them before grabbing his sword and walking out.

You were slightly confused at how quiet he got but just shrugged it off before walking out the cabin slightly after.

After a few days, all you could hear was the buzz about a big play date with the princess. It ended up being more like a whole festival and your two younger brothers could not stop talking about it.

“Pleaseeee!! Please big sis! I promise I’ll never complain about the food again!” Axel begged making you chuckle.

“Well, I just might have to bring you then.” You joked as you picked him up on your back, having him hold on tight as you made some lunches for tomorrow, wrapping some bread and meat in some paper leaves. You cut some fruit up and poured lemon juice on it with sugar. You were glad to have these things due to the Knight visiting you every day and providing you with some money even though you tried to deny his offer.

“You aren’t going to work tonight y/n?” Adrien asked as it was past 10 at night. You shook your head and smiled.

“Tomorrow is a big day for you two and I have to make sure you are ready in time.” You placed Axel in his cot, covering him with the wool blanket before you kissed his forehead. You sat at the table, cutting some fabric and sewing it together. You stayed up most of the night, making two shirts for your brothers. You were able to buy some pants for them and the shoes they had were still knew. You woke up to Adrien moving some pans to the stove.

“Hey, what you doing?” You asked as you turned around to see him cooking some eggs.

“A very shy man in nice clothes was knocking at the door to give these to us, he might still be there.” Adrien said as if it was nothing making you run out to see the royal clothing slightly fade to the distance. You shook your head before you returned inside.

“That shy man was Knight Amajiki. He fought alongside Knight Mirio.”You said in a calm voice, waiting for his reaction and what you got was not what you expected. He face palmed himself and looked down.

“How could I forget, Axel will never leave me alone about this once he finds out.” He said before he continued to make breakfast. You laughed before you went get the youngest.

The three of you all got ready in your new clothes and you wore your mother’s plain white dress and blue corset that had a matching cloak. The three of you began your journey to the kingdom, picking up a ride or two from a few people. You walked with your basket held at your elbow, holding Axel’s hand as Aidren held onto your cloak.

You smiled brightly as you walked to the castle, waiting at the gate before being let in. You saw a lot of children and got slightly discouraged at all the kids playing in the grass. What if Eri find’s someone else to play with and likes them more. That would crush your brother’s spirits to pieces but before you could realize it, they were off playing with a bunch of other kids. You noticed there was an area for people to place their things so you placed your basket and shoes in a crate, locking it before taking the key and placing it around your neck, being it was on a string.

“Hey, you didn’t think you’d be playing without me did you?” You asked as you ran up to your younger brothers. You got a lot of weird looks from other mothers but you didn’t care being you were having fun. The grass was so soft against your feet and you finally felt like a kid for once, even though you were 24. “Not if we have anything to do with it” Adrien declaired, holding up a wooden sword that the castle provided. You played for a long time before Eri finally found the three of y’all. You smiled as she hugged you tightly before running to Axeln and Adrien. You stood up and started to walk away before you bumped into a tall figure.

“Oh I’m so sor-sorry.” You said before you saw it was Mirio. His looks always surprised you, especially that smile. “Hello, Sir Knight Mirio.” You curtsied, bowing slightly as well.

“Miss Y/n, pleasure to see you here.” Mirio said as he bowed back. “Now, I think Eri want’s us to play.” Mirio said as he walked over to Eri, pulling you behind him, making you laugh softly.

“Let’s battle! Me and you! If I win, I get to protect Princess Eri!” Adrien said, pointing his wooden sword at Axel. Eri smiled before she pulled out her own wooden sword.

“Who said I can’t protect myself?” Eri asked, making Axel’s eyes light up.

“Can we fight?” Axel asked Mirio, making sure it was okay and nodded.

“Why don’t me and you battle?” You asked Mirio and he chuckled.

“Okay, I’ll go easy on you.” He said wielding a wooden sword as you held one too. The two of you bowed and made sure you had enough room and wouldn’t hurt anyone else. The two of you started to fight and Mirio was quite shocked at your strength and form.

“There is a lot you don’t know about me.” You spoke, as your blocked his sword from swinging down on you. “I always wanted to be a knight when I was young.” You pushed forward, making Mirio back up and take this more seriously. With the two of you so enticed with each other, you hadn’t notice all the kids watching. You were smiling brightly, before you quickly spun around, grabbing Mirio’s outstretched hand, pulling it close to you.

“You’re quite strong, maybe you should live in the castle.” Mirio said with a wink before he hooked his free arm around your waist, spinning you and placing his sword to your throat but was blocked by your own sword. You hooked your leg behind his and kicked it out, but before you knew it, you were spun back around and you fell on top of Mirio. You quickly got up, pointing your sword at his throat before he laughed loudly. You couldn’t help but join him as you laid down next to him, panting softly.

“Wow, it’s nice to be a kid again.” You mumbled, rubbing the beads of sweat from your forehead. Then there was a loud rupture of clapping and cheering from the kids, especially Eri who also defeated Axel. She ran up to you and pulled you up.

“Girls can fight too!” She said with a bright smile, making you laugh before you looked over at Mirio who was watching you. You blushed lightly before averting his gaze. “Hey, the necklace I gave you is glowing!” She said with bright eyes, holding it in her hand. The rose crystal now shined a bright pink, making you cock your head in confusion.

“That’s a love crystal.” The small witch from early spoke, pointing to it as it slowly dimmed. “When you look at someone you love, or feel love from someone, it glows.” She explained, making you blush more.

“Hm, must be because I care and love the princess.” You played off, poking Eri’s tummy, making her giggle.

“It only glows for intimate love.” She shrugged, “But I could be wrong, I’m still learning.” She hopped away and then you were helped to your feet by Mirio.

“That was really fun, and now it’s time for Eri to pick her favorite people to play with.” He explained before walking away with Eri. You and your brothers went eat, talking about all the fun they had.

“Hellllooooo everybodddyyyy!!” Sir Yamada yelled, getting everyone’s attention. “It’s time for Eri to pick who will stay at the castle for a week! Now if you don’t get picked, don’t be discouraged, we will probably have many more to come!”

You looked up on the stage and saw Mirio smiling, and saw Eri waving you three up there. A few kids were cheering, saying you need protect Eri since Mirio lost to you. Some kids were crying while others just smiled, knowing they might get it next time.

It was the third day in the castle and you just plopped onto your king sized bed, sighing loudly.

“Hey, finally got your brother’s to bed?” Mirio asked as he stood there in loose clothing, much different from his armor or royal attire.

“Yes! I feel like they never run out of energy and I’m so sore.” You patted the area next to you and Mirio walked over and laid down next to you, watching the heavy door close on its own.

“I’m really glad you got to spend this time here.” Mirio smiled lightly, making you look over at him and smile. Your necklace glowed through your shirt, making you grab it and sit up.

“Yeah… uhm, wellll, I’m going to take a bath to help with my muscles. Can you show me how that large tub works again?” You asked with a small blush before you grabbed some clothes that were provided by the castle. Mirio nodded and walked over to the deep tub that was in your chambers, turning the handle, allowing water to pour out before he put a stopper in the drain.

“That’s pretty much it, do you need anything else?” He asked as you kept your eyes on the floor. He nodded before he walked out and you started to pull of your dress shirt, struggling lightly from your sore muscles. “Oh hey-…I’m so sorry, I should have knocked. I just remembered you needed a towel.” Mirio blushed as you pulled your shirt back down.

“Oh it’s okay…uhm, can you help? If not can you get someone to help me remove my clothes?” You asked as you blushed lightly, making your crystal glow again. He nodded and closed the bathroom’s wooden door before walking behind you.

“Arm’s up.” He spoke softly, lifting your shirt to expose your skin. While Mirio was taken away by your body, he remained calm being you were in a place of need. He pulled down your skirt, allowing you to step out of it, making your face light up. You’ve done similar things countless times but right now, it feels like your first time.

“I’m going to remove your bra and underwear for you if that’s okay?” He asked, making sure he had consent from you before he continued. You nodded, allowing him to remove your clothes and once that was done, he helped you into the bath.

“Wait-…could you stay?” You asked just as he was about to leave, making him pause and turn around.

“Any particular reason or just want a friend?” He asked with a smile while he sat on a stool next to the tub.

“I just think I’ll need some help getting out.” You mumbled,holding your necklace in your hand to keep Mirio from seeing it’s bright pink tint. You knew you could probably get out and dressed on your own but you had to admit, you did like Mirio’s company.

“Oh yeah, I should’ve thought of that.” He chuckled, stretching his arms in the air as he watched you run your hands through your soapy hair. Mirio walked close to your head and started to help rinse out your hair. “We meant it when we said you’d get treated like royalty.”

“Thank you Sir Mirio.” You smiled and relaxed into his touch, making him blush softly before going back to the task at hand. Maybe this stone was right, maybe you did love him but there is no way he’d feel the same so you should just shut out those feelings. “Ow! What the-?” You let go of the necklace that shocked your hand and chest.

“That a love crystal you got, deny the feelings you have and it shocks you.” Mirio chimed in, breaking your train of thought. “You don’t have to worry, I’m sure whoever you’re thinking of feels the same way.” He smiled brightly. After awhile, he helped you out the tub and got you dressed in a loose night gown.

“Thank you for helping me, Sir Mirio.” You blushed lightly as you walked over to you bed and sat down, watching Mirio clean up the bathroom. Mirio walked over to you and smiled before he bent down and kissed your lips, making your necklace glow.

“I’m sorry, but I just had to know this crystal glowed for me.” Mirio blushes before he stood back up straight but you pulled him back down to you.

“I guess my secret is out.” You smiled before reconnecting your lips.

You pulled Mirio closer to you, having him crawl on top and pin you down. His lips were soft but you could feel the small scars he had from it being repeatedly busted from fighting or training. He pulled you on top as he sat up so you can straddle his lap, allowing his hands to travel your foreign body.
