New Podcast Episode
On July 22nd, 2006, Shawn O’Brien was found unconscious in his apartment in Cranston, Rhode Island. He died in the hospital a few days later due to, what was thought to be, a seizure. However, the more the story unfolded, the more something sinister seemed to have happened. Shawn’s daughter, Natalia St. Louis, joins us to talk about her father and bring more awareness to his case. The police have yet to reinvestigate, even though they’ve deemed his death suspicious.

Currently watching Crime Weekly's podcast episodes on the Gabby Petito case (they recorded them one year ago) and I can't believe that Stephanie and Derrick threw shade at the creators who were covering the case because 'it is the hottest story at the moment' only for them to say 5 minutes later that they also don't know all the things related to it 🙄

I’D LIKE TO TAKE A MOMENT TO POINT OUT THAT HE HAS NOT BEEN CONVICTED
The meme culture of internet has jumped on the bandwagon and I’m concerned that by making him the face of all the memes online we are creating a sense of inevitability that he must LEGALLY be guilty, because if not then why would we all be talking about him? The crime is ALLEGED and until ANYONE is convicted we deny, deny, deny

imagine like a true crime documentary on percy jackson like
"so this kid and his mom just disappeared one night, car crashed, blood on the scene no bodies"
"oh my god"
"his stepfather believed he was responsible for the whole thing. mind you this kid was TWELEVE"
"that sounds nuts honestly"
"right? so this kid and his mom go missing, step-dad blames him. kid turns up near New Jersey and a bus explodes."
"shut the fuck up? do they have photos of it?"
"yeah, so a tourist snapped his photo because he recognized him from the missing person's report. by the way, this kid's rap sheet is... it's insane. six schools six years. he was expelled the day of the disappearance."
"seriously?!"
"Yeah, I reached out to the school, but they had no further comment. so 5 shows up AGAIN, saint Louis Arch, another explosion. he FELL from the top of the arch."
"how the fuck did he survive that, what the hell?"
"I have no idea, but a family of three saw him jump from the top into the Mississippi."
"That’s insane."
"It gets more insane; so he shows up on a beach near Los Angeles, right after those major earthquakes? He and the two kids he was traveling with, I forgot to mention there are two other children in this story, but their identities have never been revealed."
"That is wild."
"Yeah! The Coast Guard drops them off because they were just... in the ocean."
"How on earth would three kids get there?"
"Some theories are they got swept out when the earthquake hit, they managed to cling to a buoy and wait for rescue."
"They were that far out?"
"Apperently!! So anyway, they get onto the beach. This dude in a trench coat starts blasting at them with a shotgun."
"Jesus Christ."
"And this kid somehow gets another gun, and they just have a shoot out on the beach."
"holy shit."
"Holy shit is right. The big guy manages to hit an exposed gas line from the earthquake, explodes like three cop cars, and by some miracle, no casualties."
"That is so lucky."
"YEAh! So it was determined that this dude orchestrated the whole thing! He was seen by waitresses in Denver outside of a diner, THREATENING all three kids."
"Really? fuck this guy that kid is a hero."
"He really is."
"So did they ever arrest him?"
"That’s what's so fucked up. They never found him."
"Are you effing kidding me?"
"Thatwhat I said when I read that like? Hello? big dude with a gun kidnapped 4 people. but that isn't the most confusing part of the story."
"Really?"
"So far, I haven't mentioned his mother and Step-father again. She turns up in their apartment."
"Just turns up?"
"She just turns up. but you know what? the step-father is reported missing."
"no fucking way dude"
"yes! and we still don't know what happened to him to this day."

If supernatural was a funny show, there’d be a scene where Castiel interrogates a witness and turns out they’re really into true crime and they’re like oh my God aren’t you that guy that went missing from Illinois what the fuck and then Cas just like flies away

(source: The Kentucky Advocate, December 24, 1902.)
Narrator voice: Charles was not, in fact, a good boy forever.
Tumblr media
The 15 minute gun fight broke out between Charles and at least two other men following an argument at a hotel coffee shop in Louisville where Charles, a bookie, was staying for the Kentucky Derby. It was soon joined by responding police officers.
Charles' photo and fingerprints were sent out to surrounding law enforcement and it was discovered Charles was wanted for a bank robbery in Detroit and a hotel hold-up in Cleveland where one person was killed.
Charles died from his wounds several days later, but refused to identify the other men involved in the argument, who fled in the aftermath - though several articles mention they were thought to be "Chicago men", suggesting mob affiliation.

i hate house md because immediately in s2 they’re like. i know the patient is flatlining right now. but here’s house and wilson fighting in the middle of the street like they’re in a mid budget rom com talking about how they need each other. this definitely won’t look gay at all out of context 😃

In 2017, 48 year old Robert Seman jumped to his death from the fourth floor of the Mahoning County Courthouse after his status hearing for his upcoming death penalty trial. The trial stemmed from Seman's upcoming conviction on charges of sexually abusing 10 year old Corrine Gump, who was set to testify against him in court. Seman decided that was not going to happen. He burned down her grandparents home with her inside. All 3 perished. (Last photo taken by me, 2023)

END the copaganda that not giving your DNA to your cops makes you more suspicious.
END the copaganda that if you don't tell your side of the story to a cop you're going to be arrested.
END the copaganda that not allowing the cops into your home without a warrant is criminal behavior.
END the copaganda that not allowing cops to interrogate you without an attorney present is inherently more suspicious.
END the copaganda that if you don't speak to a cop that stops you on the street, you are breaking a law.
this is all bullshit and it is framed in a way that destroys your constitutional right to be protected from unreasonable intrusions into your life and into your home. it is a way for cops and the law enforcement system to intrude on your privacy in ways they are legally not allowed to, by making YOU feel like YOU will be seen as a bad guy for standing up for your rights.*
demand to see a warrant. if they stop you on the street, ask if you're being detained and if so, why. do not speak to cops without your attorney present. that is WHY miranda rights exist. you are ALLOWED to keep your mouth shut.
*ALL of this is stuff that will be more dangerous to do if you are black or brown or visibly trans or queer or disabled. if at ANY POINT you feel that you are going to be at risk of harm for doing these things, you are NOT at fault for complying. your rights are important but they are not more important than preserving your life. stay safe out there y'all.

New Podcast Episode!
This episode is from my guest appearance on True Crime Cat Lawyer last year. Elyse is a lawyer and it was very interesting hearing the legal aspects of this case. We discussed the case of Michelle Carter and Conrad Roy.
Conrad Roy was 18 and his girlfriend, Michelle Carter, was 17 in 2014. Conrad struggled with his mental health for years, attempting to take his life in the past but he would always find a way to get help before it was too late. He had also been on psychiatric medications. Michelle was extremely manipulative with possible mental health issues of her own. Even though they only lived 30 minutes away from each other, they never spent time together in person. Michelle convinced him over texts, e-mails, and phone calls to take his own life.

Grown ass people are falling for Casey Anthony's lies because of that stupid, extra biased and inaccurate documentary. Is it because you have not read or watched enough stuff about the case, or because you genuinelly have 2 braincells?

Rant about a true crime case
I. Fucking. Swear. To. The. Gods.
I hate it when police just don't look into things they should.
In this true crime case I listened to today(here's the episode if any of you are interested: https://open.spotify.com/episode/73TwE6Sdz3zcpM1FBaMQgn?si=7KI0xfdtQfWD5ublN_Wm2Q&utm_source=copy-link) it is sooo obvious that these cases are connected. (Spoiler alert for people who want to listen to the case) So what's investigated is this string of murders of women who had problems with drugs and/or the police. This was in 2016 in Ashland, Ohio. The serial killer admits to one in 2005 in a city around the area Ashland is at, like around Columbus. And in this separate city, close by to Ashland as well, had several missing/murder cases of the same type of women in 2014. AND THE TWO POLICE DEPARTMENTS BASICALLY SAID THERES NO CONNECTION AND THATS IT. AAAA. Like there definitely is. Same MO. Same area. And serial killers don't just stop killing then years later start again with a murder a month. There has to be some in-between 2005 and 2016. I'm just so angry rn.
