So Kisame's often considered the fourth most powerful Akatsuki member, but the top three are pretty unanimously Obito, Pain and Itachi. And with Kisame's motto being survival of the fittest and MO being taking out the weakest links, it’s fascinating to see him end up as one of the most well connected members of the Akatsuki. And since the top three never openly get to clash, technically speaking, he stays loyal to all of them. He's; 

- Working broadly for Pain, Akatsuki's open leader, who wants to create peace through traumatising the world through a cycle of war

- Working secretly for Obito, Akatsuki's real leader (and by proxy, Madara and Zetsu, Akatsuki's real-real leaders), who wants to create peace through trapping the world in a dream realm

- Working day-to-day for/with Itachi, the Akatsuki's biggest name, most powerful field member, and a secret double agent, who wants to create peace through becoming the most powerful shinobi that's ever lived,  and through using that power 'as much as he wants', 'lead the world to subjugation'

So either Kisame is the ninja equivalent of the minions, or the dojutsu wielding top three of the Akatsuki all looked to him and went 'yup, he's Henchman Shaped'

Bangladesh has finally taken action in response to weeks of protests, but citizens still await justice.

At least 139 people have died since protests broke out on July 1. Last month, Bangladesh’s courts brought back controversial government job quotas, which the country had abolished in 2018. These quotas reserved 30% of public sector jobs for relatives of 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War veterans. At the same time, youth unemployment in Bangladesh tripled from 5.6% in 1991 to 15.7% in 2023.

On Sunday, Bangladesh’s Supreme Court reduced quotas from 56% to 7% of government jobs. Quotas for kin of 1971 War veterans went from 30% to 5% and for ethnic minorities went from 5% to 1%. The court abolished quotas for women and those from certain districts but kept the 1% for those with disabilities.

Quotas for government jobs are not uncommon in South Asia. In 2022, India increased reservations to 59.5% in central institutions.

Bangladesh deployed police and paramilitary forces as well as the antiterrorism Rapid Action Battalion, and slowed internet services and shut educational institutions. Hundreds have suffered injuries. Over the weekend, Bangladesh declared a curfew and police granted military officers orders to “shoot on site.”

“I am hoping normalcy will return after today’s ruling and people with ulterior motives will stop instigating people,” Abu Mohammad Amin Uddin, Bangladesh’s Attorney General, told Reuters. When issuing the verdict, the Supreme Court urged students to resume classes. “As the demands of students are met, they should stop the protests,” Uddin told the NY Times.

But student organizers say the fight isn’t over. “Now we want justice for the lives lost of our brothers. The prime minister has to apologize and those who are guilty have to be tried,” Mahfuzul Hasan, a protest coordinator, told The Guardian.

Organizing a workshop is virtually impossible. If you try to plan ahead, you’ll quickly find out that your amazing plan didn’t match with reality. Eventually, you will run out of bins before you run out of kinds of things, and the entire endeavour will go to hell in a hand-basket. Having one bin store two kinds of things is awful, maybe even more so than having a bin that stores one single lonely, unloved part that you nevertheless will hold onto until your next of kin have to throw it away for you on the afternoon after your funeral.

If you look online, you’ll find a lot of fancy, designer-esque photos of workshops. They’re clean. They’re sorted. They’re well-lit. Everything is within reach. The secret, explain the owners, is minimalism. Make sure you only have good stuff, and put it back where you take it out. What they don’t show you is the entire basement full of random garbage that they’ll spend a whole weekend in as soon as they realize that their grand plan didn’t include a security-bit Torx T8 driver.

Me, I have a very different strategy for this. I buy doubles, triples of tools. Back in the day, tools were expensive, and having two sets of screwdrivers was a ridiculous, bourgeois expense. You’d buy one set of screwdrivers and hold onto it forever. Nowadays, tools are cheap. Why would you bother spending all that time walking upstairs to go get a Phillips #2 from your workshop when you could just buy another $16 set from Home Depot and chuck it downstairs, vaguely close to where you might have to work on a badly-made, inexpensive clothes dryer?

If there is a downside to this behaviour, it’s that once you use every room in your house for tool storage, you give up all hope of ever being able to quickly locate tools at all. In a workshop, there are only a few logical places in which to lose a wrench. On the workbench. Under the workbench. Under another tool. Inside a project. Raccoon took it, the little bastard. In the rest of your house, who knows? Last week I found a 3/8″-drive stubby ratchet inside my furnace when I went to go change the filter.

Many options were considered before the final design got unanimous consent, yet as Looks To The Moon had already existed by this time, (Autistic) Five Pebbles could mostly act as her assisting supercomputer thus reducing the risk of running out of water and damaging any of them in process.

So what's the rock obsession for?

The decision to implement the gemology could be a bit random but with time the Superstructure Engineers began to realize, that LTTM and the other iterator projects in the closest area, such as NiSH and SRS, might not cooperate with others of their kin to accomplish the Triple Affirmative or simply would gain some "emotional defects" as they called the risk of prioritization the earthly needs over the Great Problem.

Because of that, they came up with idea of a singular superstructure uniting other machines by a regular interaction also exchanging essential information ( a.k.a. "sharing the worries with others") to prevent the "emotional defects" from happening. A proper behavior programming capable of this task would require more of the computing power thus that kind of iterator couldn't be able to focus on other things effectively but it assured the immunity to the danger this specific iterator would theoretically encounter. An obsession around specific thing was considered a good defense mechanism to apply.

And so, a mindset of an autistic person fitted well - Pebbles could easily and with pure honesty (unaffected by encountered "defective iterator") "share any of his worries" to LTTM - a senior of the local iterator group and formally "Pebble's elder sister" - and she would have a bit more of a control over reaching their designated goal of Triple Affirmative together with other superstructures without dealing with such unwanted "emotional defects" on the way.

Little the Engineers knew, Five Pebbles could turn out to be the only one not affected by the curse he was designed to withhold from spreading...

That's enough lore for now, I'll probably edit this by the time going but not the lore itself XP
