So would I be considered a fake fan if I'm getting really into X-Man because of the Deadpool x Wolverine movie?

Don't get me wrong, I've seen the first couple X-Man movies, Logan, all the Deadpools, and have one of the X-Man comics. But like now, I'm getting REALLY into X-Man. I want to watch every single X-Man movie, want to read all the comics, get really into the lore, Hugh Jackman's thoughts while playing Wolverine, like.... everything.

Am I a fake fan for having the new dunbass Deadpool movie make me get really really into X-Man lol. This is so silly, I love Deadpool and Wolverine!

im already tired of the 'man vs bear' debate. it went from actually meaningful discussion about sexual assault and how men need to do better to just purposefully ragebaiting incels and nothing of actual value. and that's not even getting into the fact that the discourse only focuses on survivors who are cis women, and less focus on trans survivors, enby survivors (and even male survivors for that matter). hell, transphobes have already started to invade the conversation. we need less rhetorical questions about abuse, and more actual uplifting of survivors and actual education about abuse (for all genders for that matter!)

the man vs bear topic has done nothing to help survivors, and i will die on this hill.

so, it's been a headcanon of mine for a while now that nish is actually a really good artist. like, he wouldn't consider himself an 'artist' and he generally downplays any reactions he gets to his art. it's just like.. a thing he's done since he was able to manuever a marker in sunflower- drawin on the walls and pissin off kazama hahaha. but like, yeah, growing up it was just so casual, he never really thought much about it. he'd draw anything from kiryu, yumi, yuko and kazama to outfits he saw in display windows when he was out and about. he used to just throw away his sketchbooks and notepads when he filled them up until the others (sin kazama) got onto him, trying to make him see the value in his art. around the time he joined the yakuza, he slowed down a bit. really only drawing as a 'party trick' on a little napkin in bars and shit like that.

anyway, i say all that to say, in my ss stuff, it takes place in the "present" whatever that means to the thing i'm writing at the time. and obviously that means it's a 'nishiki lives' au, right? i often point out in that stuff that he has alot of nightmares from that period of his life. so, with the right motivation, i think he picks up drawing again as a form of therapy. he wouldn't see a shrink if you held a gun to his head but, this? it's actually something that works for him and helps him quite literally paint a picture of the things happening in his mind.

I think. Sigh. The thing abt f1 and dominant eras is it’s actually just inevitable. A lot of people are chewing at the bit ready to call this the downfall of f1 and like it isn’t. Viewership also plummeted during peak Mercedes dominance. F1 is an engineering competition first and foremost. The reason other series have more overtaking is because they have more shared components between teams. F1 is special in its innovative potential. I don’t think that’s necessarily a problem no matter how infuriating it may be to fans. Idk. Acting like the us market declining is a sign of the downfall of f1 is hilarious like f1 survived without us viewership for most of its existence it’ll survive now. Like America isn’t the centre of the world idk. I’ll celebrate when they stop desperately trying to Americanise the sport idk 😭🤣
