Feats of Strength is a best-of-three system that encourages teams to take risks early on by contesting different objectives. They are as follows:
First Blood
First Tower
First Three Epic Jungle Monsters (Drakes, Herald, any 3 Void Grubs)
Upon one team completing two of the three above Feats, they’ll have won the contest and will receive the blessing of Noxus buff. This buff will immediately grant a small bonus to any tier 2 boots belonging to players on the Feat winning team.
After completing two legendary items, a player on the Feat winning team can spend gold to upgrade their boots to tier 3, which grants another small stat bonus and a unique effect depending on which boots you upgraded.

Y’know, for someone who developed such extreme thalassophobia as a child that she refused to go into the sea unless her mom held her the entire time, screamed at the sight of seaweed and refused to watch Finding Nemo with her sister and cousin, it sure is ironic that out of all mythical creatures it was MERMAIDS I made a Kuviren AU for
#okay I hated the sea but I was chill with mermaids. more or less#like H2o was my favourite show for a good while so#I think it’s because I knew they filmed it in a pool so it didn’t trigger me#I’m okay with pools. there are no seaweed or sea creatures in pools#I more or less recovered from the phobia around the age of 11#and would go swimming every day during the summer with my friend#but the place we swam at had a big stone plate at the entrance so it was shallow#then a drop off. not too big but deep enough people would go scuba diving there#but if you swam across it towards the wave cutters it got shallow again#the drop off scared the shit out of me but other than that I was fine#except that I feared stepping on a sea urchin so much that I would never climb onto a rock first#and would never go with my friends to catch crabs#(they let them go afterwards it was just to look)#I was dragged along one time and yelled so much it was insane#when I was obsessed with H2o I really wanted to become a mermaid#but then the realisation that I’m deathly afraid of seas and oceans hit and I was like#can I be a pool mermaid#since I’m visiting mom we go to the beach when the weather is good. a different one than the one I described before though#and swimming over rocks or clumps of sea weed still get to me#also than one time mom and I were chilling. treading water. couldn’t stand but the floor looked close#and then mom. height 173. dive in a little to try and reach it and couldn’t#the depth was more than 2 metres#the water was clear and I could see it was sand and nothing more but the realisation just how far I was from standing…#let’s just say it kept me on edge#but yes anyway my au#I am a walking contradiction aren’t I#though this October I’m thinking of creating a different monster au#og thought was vampires bc of Suiren’s fixation on Kuvira’s neck. but that would seem too repetitive#so then a new idea. what if Midori got to be the more monstrous one. for a treat#werewolves seem cliche but I’m kinda digging it. cerise hood and ramona badwolf say hi

baby piastri (pt. 2)
an: I’m still thinking about girldad!oscar so here’s another little blurb part 1
in which: mom!reader gets to a point of dangerous exhaustion, worrying Oscar.
pairing: dad!oscar piastri x mom!reader
warnings: pet names (baby, honey), if there’s any others lmk!
You stumbled into the kitchen, and Oscar noticed almost instantly that you weren’t okay. He called your name softly but received no answer.
He noted the curve of your arm, as if your daughter, isla, was resting in your arms. But she was rolling around on her play pad right next to Oscar. Worry overtook every one of Oscar’s thoughts.
He watched with concerned eyes as you opened the fridge and pulled out a nearly empty baby bottle. He calculated his next moves carefully, not wanting to make you upset. You tilted the bottle as if to feed the invisible baby.
Oscar called your name again and received a tired him in response. “Baby I think you need to rest.” He suggested.
You shook your head, moving to sit on the couch near him. “Isla needs me.” You mumbled the explanation. It was hardly even coherent.
He glanced at Isla to make sure she was distracted enough before leaving her side. He sat next to you, taking the bottle from your hands. You whined, “No, Isla-“ “Isla’s on the floor.” He pointed out with a sigh. You frowned, and suddenly the baby in your arms was no longer there.
“C’mon, let’s get you to bed.” Oscar stood, taking your hand with him but you refused to budge. “But she needs me.” Your gaze was on your daughter who was currently chewing on a silicon ring used for teething.
“It’s alright. I’ll look after her.” He tugged on your hand again, but you remained where you sat.
Oscar sighed, and despite your protests, he hoisted you into his arms. “Hey, put me down!” Your demands fell onto deaf ears. You tried to squirm but he only held you tighter.
He kicked your bedroom door open and laid you carefully on the bed. When you tried to get up, he pushed you right back down. “If I have to hold you down until you go to sleep, I will.” He was stern with it, pointing a threatening finger at you.
You finally huffed, settling into the sheets. “Fine. Just wake me up in an hour.” You grumble.
Safe to say, Oscar did not wake up up in an hour. He treaded around the house on his tip toes, wincing when a floorboard would creek.
You were approaching hour two when isla started to cry. She’d just ate, so Oscar assumed it was a teething issue. He offered her the teething toys but she rejected all of them after just a couple of bites. So he sacrificed his finger for isla to chew on, and thankfully she didn’t reject that one. He cautiously peeked his head into your bedroom, and silently cheered when he saw that you were still fast asleep.
It wasn’t until sixteen hours later that you woke up.
The room was dark, the blackout curtains drawn closed. The smell of bacon and pancakes wafted through the air in your room. “Breakfast for dinner?” You asked to the empty space before turning to the clock. What should’ve been 17:30 was actually 8:51.
“Oscar!” You yelled, storming out of the room to confront him. You stood at the kitchen island next to isla in her high chair, glaring holes into the back of Oscar’s head.
He turned and smiled at you sweetly. He carried a plate of fluffy pancakes and bacon over to you, placing it right in front of you. He chose to ignore your sharp gaze. “Morning, honey.” He greeted, placing a kiss on your temple.
“Don’t ‘morning honey’ me! Why didn’t you wake me up?” You demanded of him while isla babbled beside you and tossed a piece of bacon at you. “Thanks, love.” You replied sarcastically, placing the strip back on her plate.
Oscar just smiled, unfazed by your reaction. “You needed the sleep.”
“I didn’t-“
“You slept for sixteen hours. You didn’t even wake up when isla was crying. You were too exhausted to even admit it, and you were hallucinating.” He stated, gentle and cautious. The worry in his voice, and the concern on his face made you frown. “I love you, and I love how independent you want to be, but you’re not alone in this. You’re taking on more responsibilities than you need to and you’re not looking after yourself.” Oscar’s hands found your waist. He held onto you with a light grip. “And it’s killing me with worry.” He confessed.
“I’m sorry.” You muttered, not meeting his eyes.
His hands moved from your waist to cup your cheeks. He lifted your head, forcing you to look him in the eyes. He closed the gap between you, leaving a soft peck on your lips. “It’s okay. Just promise me you’ll give yourself a break when you need it.”
You bit the inside of your cheek before nodding. He smiled and kissed you again, breaking apart to laugh when Isla started screeching happily.

Omg are you into sentinel x reader? I've been imagining a scenario where reader is one of the cogless bot he decided to kept as a 'trophy wife' (but more like a pet) to boost up public opinion
spoilers!!! (Not direct spoilers, but just tread safely in case.)
Pookie I am into anything involving sentinel, (my favorite being sentinel x my fist and back shots) ANYWAYS THAT IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA have you seen the size difference between normal bots and the miners?????? Its so delicious. Jazz was half of orion's size and he's so small djddjdjjedkekejf can imagine miner reader on sentinel's lap herhgehehehheheh and he's holding their dainty waist.
He definitely doesn't see them as an equal but I think he does kind of see them a little bit higher on the list since theyre his pet, of course. Sentinel would be astounded at how they polish their plating, being ignorant and all.
"You don't wax?"
"No."
"Right, so not even a little?"
".... No?"
"Unbelievable."
Yeah, he's um a little out of touch. So, he takes it upon himself to 'take care of them' and 'fix them' in other words, haha lol I control what you do so it's best you shut up or I'll send you back to the mines. Or, possibly killed becuase have you seen the size of this guy????
He could just grab you by the neck and boom, broken like a twig.
He's enamored by the idea that he's good husband material and would flaunt you at interviews with ridiculous, made up stories about the two of you. About how he loves coming home and seeing his conjux, 'crying' about not seeing them often because he's got 'prime duties' as he puts it. Airachnid palys as his witness by staring off into space becuase it's all bullshit.
I would imagine he'd still allow them to work so that the miners get the idea that even the Prime's conjux is working at the mines!!! So why shouldn't they?
But the moment you come back he's snatching you up and throwing you into that bathtub like Pokemon go.
You're not an idiot. You know what he's doing and playing along is better than rotting in the mines. And, besides you always knew there was something off with the prime. Cue, reader having mini subplot of unfolding his intentions!!!
This kind of scenario goes two ways, it's either sentinel picked up miner reader and put on his facade for as long as possible, being too nice but also passive aggressive and showing his streaks of aggression and ego, or he could just pick them up, already showing his true self, although I would imagine he wouldn't really yk show show his true entire intentions
Itd be funny if he fell, heads over heels first. Not because he likes you or anything, but becuase he's lonely? I mean being a prime is a lonely job and eventually he believes the facade he puts on and has some kind of crises around it which kind of makes him a little more dangerous. Becuase now you're the biggest fattest weakness to his ego and he doesn't like vulnerabilities.
He might just kill you. Its not like you can run, right?
#i had to not ramble becuase my wifi is unstabme and smh im afraid i mihjt start over LMAO#sentinel prime#sentinel prime x reader#tfone#transformers#maccadam#ikkoasks#transformers x reader#transformers one#tf1#sentinel x reader

recharge, suguru geto
a/n: based off a request from a friend. hope you like this bae <3. (not proofread!) content: suguru x reader. suguru’s clingy. fluff. wc: 1.1k
𓇼 ⋆. 𓆝⋆. 𓇼 ˚。𓆉 ⋆𓇼 ⋆. 𓆝⋆. 𓇼 ˚。𓆉 ⋆𓇼 ⋆. 𓆝⋆. 𓇼 ˚。𓆉 ⋆𓇼 ⋆. 𓆝⋆. 𓇼 ˚。𓆉 ⋆𓇼 ⋆. suguru comes home late at night. stress evident on his face as you try to greet him like you usually do but he’s dismissive. not even a proper peck and he’s pulling away from you and going straight to the bedroom.
it hurts him more than it hurts you when he behaves like this. he wishes he could talk to you but he’d just end up breaking down and he’s tired of having you see him like this. he should be strong for you, shouldn’t he? you’re not in this relationship to take care of him constantly and get nothing in return. so he pushes you away.
he hopes you understand why he’s being so distant. and you guess he wants his space so you give it to him. but you also can’t just leave him alone so you tread carefully. you know he think he’s being selfish but you don’t mind it. he doesn’t realize it but he’s been there for you countless times taking care of you and being patient with you when all you want to do was rot in your apartment. so you try to do the same.
you give him his space. let him sleep alone in your shared bedroom. he lays in bed waiting for you to join him but he doesn’t know how to ask for it after he was so dismissive with you earlier. he huffs annoyed at himself and falls asleep yearning for your warmth.
the sun shining brightly through the opened curtains wake him up. absentmindedly he reaches out to hide his face in your neck but you’re not there. your side of the bed untouched and cold. eyebrows furrowed he walks out of the bedroom but you’re nowhere to be found. a throw blanket laid across the couch confirming his suspicions that you let him sleep alone. i mean he kinda asked for it, didn’t he? shit. did he really hurt you?
just as he’s about to grab his phone to call you he hears the jingle of keys unlocking the door. a shiver of relief runs over his body and he lays back in bed before you can see him. you set the groceries on the countertop and go into your bedroom to check if suguru’s woken up yet.
“suguru,” you softly call out his name. his heart clenches. he wishes you’d come over and touch him so he could use his sleepy state as an excuse to pull you closer. “hmm,” he groans. and when you finally lean down and lightly brush his bangs off his face he nuzzles his cheek into your palms.
you soft callouses kissing his cheeks. your fingers rub over his skin softly. and he’s so happy to feel your touch. “wake up, sleepyhead. let’s eat something.” you whisper planting a kiss near his ear.
you feel his arms around as you flip dora cakes. “feeling better?” you ask him. instead of replying he just nuzzles his nose into your neck causing you to slip out a sweet giggle. he covers the skin of your shoulder in kisses. his hands slip under your tank, scratching lightly at your abdomen.
he stays attached to your back as you try to move around the kitchen to plate your breakfast. you wonder what changed overnight to have him this clingy but frankly you don’t mind it. it’s better than him shutting you out.
“suguru,” you huff playfully but he doesn’t let go. he clicks his tongue in disagreement when you separate your food in two plates. “what?” you turn your head slightly to look at him. “same plate.” his voice muffled as he speaks into your neck. “okay,” you smile.
you’re so beautiful he thinks. his heart skips a beat at the way your smile enhances your features even more. he never wants to make you sad.
you cut up a piece and bring it up to his mouth, tease him with the food every time he opens his mouth. he grabs your hand to keep it still and takes a bite. you both take turns feeding each other sometimes letting out breathy laughs but mostly silently gazing in to each other’s eyes filled with love.
he spends the day crowding your space. his head in your lap as you answer emails on your laptop. he turns in your lap so he can face your stomach. his finger moves under your top pulling it higher and he pokes into your bellybutton and giggles when you let out yelp. he places a few kisses on the expanse of your exposed skin. from the left side of your hips to the right covered in his love. he even follows you the bathroom and waits outside until you’re done.
he grabs your face as soon as your out and places a desperate kiss on your lips. you kiss him back with the same fervor. you’re both walking back until he falls onto the bed pulling you with him and you break apart with a laugh. your head tipped back and laughing has him laughing as well. he moves in closer as you both quiet down.
“i’m sorry for last night,” he starts. “suguru, it’s o-“ you’re about to say until he places a finger onto your lips to stop you from talking. “no baby. it’s not okay. you should call me out if i’m being an asshole, okay? please baby. i wanna be better for you.” he tells you. and you just smile against his lips “okay, sugi. next time you don’t kiss me when you come in thru the door you’re getting a smack on your ass.” you joke. “i’m serious darling,” he says. “and don’t ever leave me alone in bed. and don’t sleep out on the couch if it’s not with me.”
“yes sir,” you tease making him smile. having had enough of your teasing he grabs your hands in one of his and pins them above your head. he comes in close and you ready yourself for a kiss until you feel his other hand tickling your sides and your burst out of laughing.
you manage to free your hands from his grasp and try to stop him “okay stop okay okay,” you say between laughs. he places kisses under your ear and over you jaw and neck as as you calm down from your laughing fit
“i love you. thank you for keeping up with me,” he tells you seriously. “i love you too, suguru.” you respond with a smile. and a beat later you whisper, “the sex makes it worth it,” eliciting a loud laugh from him.

New Homes | Platonic Yandere Tweels x Child Reader
“From today on (Y/n), you’ll be hanging out with the Leech family so please…be on your best behavior.”
Your father was always a little timid. Always speaking with a little quake in his voice. His eyes were always wide darting around. His softer hands like to shake as well. Always wavering even when he held you tight.
Your father is timid. which is why he warns you when he leaves you with the Leech family. Babysitters always make him nervous. It must be because there are two this time—two babysitters with lopsided haircuts and smiles filled with sharp daggers for teeth.
“Hello little (Y/n), we’ll be sure to take good care of you.”
“Oi (Y/n), you a swimmer?”
The twins were nice…for teenagers. Other teenagers you knew would sooner shove your head underwater than help you tread it. Other teenagers also didn’t jump at the chance to fight people but that was other teenagers. Not the Leech twins.
“(Y/n), I told you not to look at Floyd when he’s doing that.”
“But that guy is still holding onto our ice cream.”
“We’ll have some at home. Don’t point at him it’s rude.”
Jade is the twin with his bang on the left side of his face. He’s proper and polite, always doing his best to keep you on schedule. Helping you with your homework when he notices you’re struggling or reading to you when it's time to sleep.
“Let me blow your nose.”
“Mmm okay.”
“Good job. Are you ready to go over the edible mushrooms again?”
“Mm okay.”
Floyd is the twin with a yellow left eye and a pitchy voice. He’s loud and silly, always doing fun things that make the day exciting like running in the halls of the manor or playing tickle-monsters when you’ve been working too long.
“I just have to finish these sheets and then I can play!”
“Boooriing! Let’s just play now!”
“B-but Jade said–”
“Jade can make you catch up later! Let’s get our water guns!”
“Yay!”
They were always so much fun to be around, even work wasn’t so bad with them around. They made a place for you in their giant home. Giving you a room as big as your living room back home, which you slowly filled with the larger souvenirs from your days together.
Speaking of home, it was becoming harder to recall. Trying to remember when you thought of your home if the bathroom was to the left of your room or your father’s. It was an odd feeling that sat at the back of your mind when you looked at the glow-in-the-dark ceiling art. Consciousness fading in and out it didn’t stop your brain from planting the seed of curiosity.
“Why…am I at their house so much?”
Usually, the answer would have been simple. Your father worked late so you had babysitters. But you didn’t go to their house usually. They also didn’t feed or play with you as long as they did but that was beside the point.
“(Y/n), you’re playing with your food.”
“Oh sorry Missus Leech.”
You made quick work of the beans on your plate, enthusiastically scarfing down what you could. It didn’t feel right to disappoint Missus Leech, while she never once yelled; there was just this feeling about her. One that called for respect.
“Take your time, (Y/n). I was only worried you’d drift off to sea.”
Looking up at her, tilted your head in confusion.
She let out a giggle. The adult kind that made you feel embarrassed. Looking at Jade, he had an amused smile too, “She means your mind, (Y/n).”
“Oh, I guess a little.”
“What’ya thinkin’ about elver?”
Floyd spoke between bites of food, reminding you to do the same.
“I just think I miss my home a little bit.”
Taking another hefty bite you missed the disdain on someone’s face. A purposeful cough brought your attention up to the patriarch at the head of the table.
“How are those new shoes we bought together?”
Lighting up at the memory of your new shoes, you barely finished chewing.
“So cool! Everyone at school thought they were nice too! And I got so many compliments.”
The older man laughed, nodding his head. “Good. Good. Maybe we should go shopping again soon.”
“Okay!”
Dinner went on like usual with dessert ending your time at the dinner table. Letting Jade and Floyd lead you to your bathroom to begin your nightly routine. You fought off the urge to yawn while Jade helped you brush your teeth, failing when he told you to spit.
“It’s always nice when Mama and Papa come back from trips.”
Floyd spoke with his back lying on the giant bed, filled with stuffed animals and pillows. He was tossing your clowned fish stuffy in the air catching it with ease.
Jade still smiling continued buttoning up your pajamas, “Yes, it seems like the trip went well.”
He looked at you, reminding you to follow him to your bed. “What about you (Y/n)? Did you miss them?”
Your eyelids were feeling heavy. You rubbed them to try to wipe the feeling away.
“Uh yeah.”
Helping Jade shuffle your stuffies around to make a place for you a knock at the door was heard. Floyd must have opened it because by the time you turned Missus Leech was there.
Mama!”
Rubbing at Floyd’s head she waved to you and Jade.
“Hi there! I was wondering if I could join you for bedtime?”
You couldn’t tell if The question was for you but if it was Jade answered anyway.
“Of course, Mother. We were just about to read their bedtime story.”
Tucked in next to Missus Leech you let yourself lean against her as she flipped through the pages of the book. Letting her words soothe your mind with the familiar words. Jade and Floyd were close by too making you comfy enough to go to sleep.
When the story was done, everyone gave you goodnight kisses before heading for the door. With the last of your energy, you remembered something important.
“Floyd, are you picking me up tomorrow or Daddy?”
________________________________________________________
The teenager was squeezing the fleshy cylinder shape with an intensity strong enough to bend metal. The crunching and squelching of a man’s neck barely brought comfort to Jade as he continued to squeeze his hands.
“There there Jade, these things take time. It was optimistic that they’d forget by now.”
Unfortunately, the words of his father didn’t calm him down. He headed over to his next target, this time allowing them to throw a punch. Dodging the punch he cradled their hand, maneuvering his arm around until it snapped in the opposite direction. The screaming that followed would have curdled blood for most but it was a lesser result to Jade. Who ended it quickly with a firm kick sent backward and into the skull. The crunch that followed and the abrupt cut to the scream allowed the Leech twin to breathe.
“I knew they wouldn’t forget. Despite all the work we’ve done. But they still expect him to come.”
His father stepped forward, avoiding the bodies to place a comforting hand on Jade’s shoulder.
“Perhaps he still does…to them.”
Jade’s eyes widened, the implication bringing a stark realization. He turned to his father, his yellow gaze answering the unspoken question.
To think that with all the work he was saddled with, the sniper still hadn’t abandoned his child. The likelihood was slim but possible. There were quite a few blind spots when it came to the school. Jade had previously ignored them because of the promised security of their contract with the one who wanted him dead. But it seems that wasn’t all they needed to worry about.
“Do you think he plans to take them again?”
“I’d hope not,” entering the warehouse was Fiona Leech having traded out her evening dress for a jumpsuit and shoving a receiver of a baby monitor in her pocket, “our little elver is just about to be settled. It’d be cruel to try moving them again..”
“I don’t think he cares at this point,” Jasper Leech suggested. Pulling out a revolver, he casually aimed and shot the two people tied in the back of the warehouse. He continued, “I hear he’s been getting sloppy with the jobs that one has so graciously allowed him to fix.”
Jade balanced himself wiping his shoe clean with a rag, chiming in himself.
“Now he’s trying to go back on his word. Absolute scum.”
“I’d hate for us to pull them out of school, more change is not what that kid needs.”
“I wouldn’t mind limiting my club activities to partake in homeschooling.”
His mother held his face patting his head fondly as she cooed,” You’re a good boy Jade but you have your new job and all those plans I wouldn’t want you to give that up.”
Jasper sighed, scratching the well-groomed stache on his face. “Guess that means we’re ending our contracts early.”
“Seems so…..Now Jade go on get to bed you have school in the morning.”
“Yes, Mama.”
______________________________________________________________
The shade was nice on sunny days. The coolness that came with the blackened space near the fence was like heaven. The spot was farther away from the plastic playground and the other children running all throughout. Minutes ago, you were just like them running wildly at a more loose game of sharks and minnows.
Past the wood-chipped ground was the back of the school building where the teachers were chatting. Disappearing between the rectangular windows, their attention was on something inside. Distracted enough not to scold you for stepping away from the others. The triumph of your expert timing was the true prize. Relishing in the leaves of the trapezoid-shaped bushes pushing through the fence. Crunchy, tickling, and overgrown the feeling against your back was a minor trait of this sacred place.
There was also the oddly pressing poke of something warm coming through the hole of the fences. Turning to confirm your suspicions, you smiled.
“Hi, Papa.”
“Hello, my Starlight!”
Turning around to mirror his position you laid on your tummy to look him in the eye. His tactical glasses were off and his hair had changed. His longer hair was gone, traded out for a faded cut. Different but still your father. You let his larger gruffer fingers hold your own through the fence, his hands for once not shaking.
“Can I tell you all about my adventures?”
“Of course.”
He let you rant, smiling and nodding all along to all your different adventures. You even took off your shoes and showed him the flickering lights in its soles. He waited until you were out of breath before asking the question again.
“Would you like to come with Papa, this time?”
You hesitated kicking your feet against the wooden chips of the playground.
“Are we going back to our home?”
“...No.”
Tilting your head,” Then are we going to the Jade and Floyd’s?”
The names made him shudder as he hurriedly shook his head.
“W-we’re going someplace new….”
“Where are we going?”
He rubbed at his eyebrows. He was getting annoyed. But you knew you had to ask otherwise you’d be brought somewhere you hated. Like that one time.
“(Y/n) you’re curiosity is great but—”
“Does where we’re going have a bed? Does it have a kitchen? Are we going to be only eating the gas place’s sandwiches?”
He scrunched his hands into his hair, grasping for his non-existent flowing hair. His lips were quivering and his eyes were watering. It made you nervous, sitting up from your tummy and on your knees. You sent a look over your shoulder at the window–the teachers were still occupied. Looking down at your father, you silently sighed as you got into character.
“Hirano wherever you're taking that little Starlight, it better be the best place for a kid. Those Leech’s are makin’ sure they're on time at school, they're well-fed, and I haven’t gotten a call from protective services for a good while.”
“I know! I know Mama but they won’t let me leave. I screwed up! I screwed up really bad! If I don’t do another job for that guy, he’s going to have my head! B-but I want to go back to normal! I want to spend my days helping (Y/n) with homework and coming home and watching those silly cartoons with my Starlight–”
Your heart was aching and your eyes were getting watery. You waved a hand at your eyes and cleared your throat sticking your hand through the hole to hold his.
“Y-you’ve got to get your ducks in order before you take your Starlight back–”
“But Mom!”
“Don’t but me…Starlight is safe. You’ve got to make sure you are too before you take them back.”
“But the debt I owe…it’s so big and their patience is thin. I don’t know if I’ll be able to come back….”
Taking a deep breath, you went back to your original position on your tummy.
“Papa, I’m always going to be here. Safe and waiting for you. So you can go on your work trip I don’t mind.”
He smiled at that reaching through the gate to affectionately bop you on your nose.
“That’s right…I’m just on a work trip. I’ll be back before you even notice. I’m gone!”
He began to scooch away but you stopped him calling for him to come back to the fence. You kissed his forehead and he kissed yours.
“I’ll….see you when you got back Papa….”
“Yup! You know it! If you need anything just ask your grandma, okay?”
“...Okay…”
Like that, he disappeared.
You were left to stare at the disfigured leaves and dying branches. Burning the memory of his face into your mind.
“(Y/n)! Your brother’s here to pick you up.”
It took you a minute before you stood up again. Frantically wiping at the water streaming from your eyes, you waited until your throat was no longer croaky to finally respond.
“Coming!”
It was all a blur, saying goodbye to your friends and packing your backpack. The memories of the sweet older lady you used to spend so much time with. She taught you how to help your father, explaining the work he was in. It made your head hurt. Thinking about it now, you can say that’s why you stay at the Leech’s house so much.
“Ready to go little elver?”
“Yeah,” you stuck your hands up while he brought you up higher supporting you with his arms. You didn’t want to but you let your gaze fall on the disfigured spot in the bushes behind the playground fence.
Floyd glared at the spot.
“What’s over there, (Y/n)?”
Visualizing him one last time. You’re glad you could say goodbye. Curling your head into his uniform’s collar, you blinked your extra tears away.
“Nothing anymore…let’s go home, please.”
You missed the smile on Floyd’s face, laughing to himself as he made his way to the family car.
“As always, little elvie!”

Early Morning Nightcap
Time Written - 9:48 a.m
Jason Todd/fem!reader smut (Bite me, I like when they make Jason look rugged an “ugly,” he is very gorgeous to me 😭✨)
Jason always tries his best to be as quiet as possible when he comes home in the early hours of the morning.
Exhaustion weighed down his entire body, heavy feet treading through the bedroom door, his mask dropped onto the nearest surface, not harboring much care to toss his jacket somewhere along the ground. Settled under dark, tussled blankets was his sweetheart, hugging his pillow close to your face, breathing in his scent for comfort when he was away.
Silent as he could attempt to be, given his large stature, the heavy dip of the mattress makes the frame creak, lightly shifting your sleeping body as he crawls into bed beside you.
Fully awake or dead asleep, nothing would stop him from grabbing your thighs, yanking your panties down your legs to bury his tongue deep into your cunt. You must’ve been in the midst of a very nice dream, leaving you all wet and sticky to Jason’s utter delight. Sucking your clit has you writhing out of sleep, hips involuntarily thrashing against his greedy mouth, grasping along your ass to keep you as close as possible.
Low mumbles escape his throat while he reinforces his grip, lapping you up as if he hadn’t drank anything for hours throughout his entire patrol.
You would spew out all your whiny little whimpers and pleas of his name, your fingers making a quick mess of his hair that was nearly matted down by his hood before. Like that was going to stop him. The sting of your nails rasp along his scalp as you came to climax only urged his eagerness to fuck you since he walked through the door, his cock begging to be freed from his tactical pants.
There’s no effort to wipe the mess off his chin once he sits up, promptly kissing you before you had a chance to sit up, urging you back down to bed. He could drink up all he want from your sweet folds, knowing you’d be gushing again in seconds.
You mew his name in between heavy kisses, tasting yourself on his tongue as his broad body spoons yours, trapping you in a shadow of security by your eager boyfriend. Bare skin pressed against warm carbon armor plating, gloved hands slipping under your shirt to palm your supple tits.
“Please babe, I need you,” Jason pants desperately in your ear, lifting your leg up over his holstered thigh, quickly working himself free from the damn confining zipper.
He bites his left glove off with his teeth, rolling two fingers along your pussy before stroking your sensitive folds to lube up his fingers, fisting his cock a few times.
“C’mon baby, c’mon, let me in. Fuck— let me in,” he rasps against your neck, the head of his cock brushing along your slippery folds.
“Shit, shit, shit,” he curses heavily once the head of his cock pops through your tight, quivering walls. The delightful stretch of your walls taking in every hot, girthy inch draws out a rich groan deep from his chest, melding perfectly with your whimpers. “God, That’s my girl. My good fuckin’ girl.”
Large hands grip your waist at the sides, your face fully flushed and gasping with each persistent rut of his hips. His throbbing cock thrusts deep inside your warm cunt, his dirty boot bracing against the mattress for additional stability, a mess the two of you can worry about much later.
Jason peppers you with praises in between multiple sloppy kisses, licking up beads of sweat along your skin as he tucks his chin against your neck. With each praise came a sting of bitter impatience laced in his tone, blunt nails harshly digging pretty crescents into your hips, rocking you back harder against his cock with no struggle, amplifying the sounds of your sloppy wet cunt swallowing him whole.
Exertion caused sweat to dapple along his forehead, primal, intimate desire coming out through hot pants and guttural grunts along your collarbone. Your shirt stretched thin from his persistent grasping at your bouncing tits, your heart drumming rapidly against his thick palm as he clasps hold of your neck.
A short symphony of sharp curses murmured against your lips in between each hot, heavy kiss, the constant rattling of his jacket buckles mingling with the headboard drumming against the wall.
“You’re so perfect, Keepin’ nice an’ wet f’me.” Teal eyes boring deeply into yours, coaxing orgasm after orgasm with each rut. His calloused thumb over your perky button, ensuring your walls squeeze him a little tighter. “Were you playin’ with yourself after I left? Heh, got myself a dirty little whore.”
Trembling fingers cling to blankets, bedsheets and his lightly bulging forearm, your mind running on blank from Jason’s relentless pace, mercilessly bullying his cock against your sweet spots.
He hushes against your cheek when you’re brought to hot, pleasurable tears, fingers finding rough purchase along the harness belt along his waist for leverage. “Shhh shh, c-can’t sleep without filling ya. You’ll let me do that, won’t you?”
His rugged, no patience attitude changed in seconds, leaving him a pleading mess of a man trembling against your body, feverishly moaning against your neck. “Please baby, please lemme fill this perfect little pussy, lemme stuff you full f’me.”
His words nearly melt together in his haste to beg further, quickening his abuse via bullying your cervix and pumping you full of cum. He halts once when his breathing hitches, damp hips spasming while wrapping his arms tightly around your body, rocking you down on his dick.
“That’s it,” he grits out, squeezing you tighter against his burly figure, clutching your plush thighs with an ego boosting satisfaction flooding throughout his exhausted body, properly fucking his girlfriend full.
The sun would shine over an exhausted couple, your overstimulated body stuffed very full with crescent marks and bruises the size of your boyfriend’s fingertips dappled along your hips.
You’d wake up delightfully sore from the awkward position his arms held you in, making Jason irritably stir from his two hour slumber to your overstimulated whines, your flushed cunt desperately squeezing around him as if to push him out.
To your dismay, he clicks his tongue by your ear before rocking his hips once, his slowly hardening cock brushing directly against your g-spot. A ‘minor’ warning of what’s to come.
How mean of you to improperly wake him after an exhausting night of patrolling Gotham. What kind of needy, impatient girl do you think you are?

CAREER DAY - A.H
a/n: ask and you shall receive my lover
masterlist
pairings: aaron hotchner x nanny!reader
warnings: reader spreading misinformation about the FBI
wc: 1.8k
The day started as most did in the Hotchner household--Jack buzzing around like a caffeinated squirrel while his father tried to maintain some semblance of order. Career day had been the talk of the week, and Jack was practically glowing with excitement at the prospect of showing off his dad, the ultimate crime-fighting FBI agent. You, of course, had spent the previous night poking fun at Aaron, delighting in his quiet irritation as he wrestled with the idea of simplifying behavioral analysis for a classroom full of first graders.
"Just being ready for the classics," you'd smirked, perched against the kitchen counter as you cradled your steaming mug of coffee. "Like 'How do you catch bad guys?' and 'Do you carry a gun?' Oh, and don't forget: 'Are you married to the nanny?'"
Aaron lowered his own mug just enough to fix you with a pointed glare, the kind that might have worked on anyone else. On you, it only sparked a giggle.
"They're six," he replied, his tone as dry as the piece of toast sitting abandoned on his plate. "I think they're more interested in whether I drive a cool car or eat donuts every day."
"Which, for the record, are equally important questions," you teased, blowing him an exaggerated kiss as you passed him in the kitchen, savoring the faint twitch or irritation at the corner of his mouth.
By the time the next morning arrived, Jack was practically vibrating at the breakfast table, his spoon clinking noisily against his cereal bowl as he talked a mile a minute. Aaron, on the other hand, appeared at the kitchen door in his usual composed fashion--sharp suit, perfectly knotted tie. He looked ready to impress, though the faint lines of dread on his face suggested he was less enthused about fielding questions from six-year-olds than Jack was about showing him off.
"This is gonna be awesome, Dad!" Jack squealed, his grin stretching so wide it nearly swallowed his face. "My friends are gonna think you're a superhero!"
You leaned in, unable to help yourself. "He is a superhero, Jack," you chimed in, hands clasped dramatically as you fluttered your eyelashes at Aaron. "A stoic, brooding one who scowls just enough to keep everyone terrified--except me, of course."
Aaron shot you a pointed look, one brow arching in that signature way that warned you to tread carefully. Yet, despite his best efforts, the faintest hint of amusement softened the hard line of his mouth. "I'm glad someone isn't scared of me."
"Oh, please, Mr. Hotchner. I'm immune to your death glare at this point. Occupational hazard."
"Lucky me," he muttered.
Aaron was moments away from grabbing his briefcase, ready to head out the door and dazzle a room full of first-graders, when his phone ran sharply, the shrill tone throwing a wrench in the morning's momentum.
The sound froze all of you. Jack, mid-spoonful of cereal, lowered it slowly, his wide-eyed excitement dimming as he watched his dad's face.
His eyes flicked to the caller ID, and that familiar shift in his expression--a sudden tightening of his jaw and faint narrowing of his eyes--was all the confirmation you needed. The duty call. With a clipped Hotchner he answered, the dark cloud settling over him left no doubt that plans were about to change.
Jack's shoulders sagged as he slumped back into his chair, his small voice laced with disappointment. "But, Dad..."
Aaron crouched beside him, his hand gently ruffling Jack's hair, the way he always did when he wanted to reassure him. His smile was tight, clearly weighed down by guilt. "I'm sorry, buddy. I promise I'll make it up to you, okay?"
"Don't worry, Mr. Hotchner. I've got this."
Aaron blinked, the phone momentarily dropping from his ear. "What do you mean you've got this--?"
You cut him off with a clap of your hands, spinning toward Jack with uncontainable enthusiasm. "Jack! Looks like I'll be tagging in for your dad today! Isn't that great?"
Jack's initial disappointment lingered for a moment, but soon enough, his face brightened. "Really?"
Hotch pinched the bridge of his nose, his voice dropping to that deadly quiet tone of his. "You? At Career Day?"
"Yes, me," you replied, undeterred by his disapproval. "I'll keep the kids entertained while you go to your FBI thing. Everybody wins."
The moment you strode into the classroom later that day, heels clicking relentlessly against the linoleum and a blazer cinched in a effort to make it seem like you meant business, you knew you had their attention. A dozen little, curious faces stared who stared at you like you were a novelty.
"Good morning, class! I'm Agent Hotchner's... right-hand woman," you announced, voice dripping with drama as you threw up a pair of jazz hands.
A few kids murmured in confusion. One whispered loudly, "I thought FBI agents were scary."
"Oh, we are terrifying," you agreed, giving them a wide-eyed look. "In fact, just last week at Quantico, it was like CSI meets Grey's Anatomy, with a touch of America's Next Top Model.”
"What's Quantico?" a little girl piped up.
"Quantico is where all the best FBI agents train. It's basically where we learn how to outsmart bad guys, fight crime, and yes, look fabulous while doing it." You pointed to your heels. "You think these are just for show? No, no. Crime-fighting boots."
The kids erupted into laughter.
"What do FBI agents do?" another kid asked, squinting at you skeptically.
You crossed your arms. "We chase down the bad guys, save the day, and sometimes--sometimes--we read minds." You tapped your temple with a knowing look. "Of course, we call it profiling."
The classroom collectively gasped.
"Can you read my mind?" one boy shouted.
You paused, squinting like you were deep in thought, and then smirked. "You're thinking... about lunch."
You were mid-explanation about "how to outwit a serial killer"--which mostly involved wildly gesturing to the chalkboard like you were mapping out a very elaborate game of tic-tac-toe--when they door creaked open.
There he was.
Aaron Hotchner.
In his sharp, dark suit, just like this morning but now with his FBI badge clipped neatly at his belt and his very unimpressed glare fixed on you.
Your words faltered immediately, one arm frozen mid-air in a dramatic motion that looked less like "strategy mapping" and more like you were trying to cast a spell.
"And that's how... we... uh... track down clues," you finished weakly, your voice trailing off as Hotch stepped further into the room.
His presence somehow managed to suck the air out of the classroom.
The entire first-grade audience collectively turned toward the door like they'd just spotted Batman (which you could see the resemblance), their wide eyes brimming with awe. Even you had to admit he looked good---too good for someone who was actively glaring daggers at you.
Jack shot up out of his chair with the biggest grin, his little hands smacking his desk. "Dad!"
Hotch's expression softened for half a second--just enough to shoot Jack a small, reassuring smile--before his gaze snapped back to you with the precision of a sniper. His eyebrow lifted, his stare practically screaming "What did you do?"
"Mr. Hotchner!" you chirped brightly, clasping your hands together like he hadn't just caught you in the middle of a deeply embellished FBI crash course. "Thank goodness you're here."
He face didn't change. "What exactly is going on here?"
The entire room turned back to you, now hanging on your every word like you were about to solve the mystery of the century. You smoothed down your blazer and cleared your throat, aiming for casual confidence but landing somewhere closer to oops-I've-been-caught.
"The kids were just learning about... well, you know, FBI things."
"FBI things," he repeated slowly, the deep baritone of his voice making every six-year-old sit up a little straighter.
You nodded quickly.
"Yes. Important stuff. Like, um..." You pointed vaguely at the chalkboard behind you, where a stick figure drawing labeled 'Unsub' faced off against a giant magnifying glass. "Like clue analysis. And deductive reasoning. And... and boot fashion! Very critical to the modern agent."
Hotch's eyebrow climbed higher. "Boot fashion."
The classroom, however, didn't notice his skepticism. They were riveted.
"You know, Mr. Hotchner," you continued, your voice sweetening as you took a step toward him, heels clicking against the linoleum, "I do have to say--you're making quite an entrance. Very dramatic. Almost like the hero showing up in Act Two."
"Am I?" he deadpanned.
"Absolutely." You turned back to the kids, one hand gesturing grandly in his direction. "Class, this is Special Agent Aaron Hotchner, leader of the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. He's here to save the day."
There were collective gasps of excitement. One little boy actually clapped.
Hotch sighed softly, his shoulders loosening a little as he gave Jack another small, proud smile. But when his gaze flickered back to you, his look still carried the weight of "We are going to talk about this later."
"Did she tell you about the profiling?" he asked the class, crossing his arms as he surveyed the room with his usual intensity.
"Yeah!" a little girl said eagerly, practically bouncing in her seat. "She said you can read minds!"
You coughed quickly, waving your hand in dismissal. "Well, not exactly 'read minds.' More like... interpret behavioral patterns."
Hotch blinked at you. "That's not what you said, is it?"
"I paraphrased."
"She also said FBI agents are like Sherlock Holmes but hotter!" a boy chimed in.
Hotch turned his unimpressed gaze back to you. "Sherlock Holmes but hotter?"
"Creative liberties," you replied, flashing him a wide grin. "You should be flattered. I was hyping you up.”
His face faltered for the briefest second when the kids started firing questions at him.
"Do you carry a gun?"
"Have you ever arrested anyone?"
"Did you really save people like she said?"
Once the kids had been dismissed for recess, the sound of excited chatter and sneakers squeaking on the floors faded down the hall, leaving the classroom blessedly quiet. You let out a long, triumphant breath and started gathering the markers you had used for your very official FBI diagrams, still pleased with yourself.
It didn't last long.
You heard the door click softly shut, and when you turned, Aaron Hotchner was standing in front of it--arms crossed over his chest, jaw set, and eyes narrowing like he was about to interrogate you for tampering with evidence.
Uh-oh.
You forced a smile, one hand coming up to smooth your blazer. "Mr. Hotchner! Shouldn't you be out there basking in your hero moment? You were a hit with the kids."
He didn't blink. "You're lucky you didn't say something classified."
"Oh, come on," you replied, waving him off as you leaned casually against the teacher's desk. "I didn't spill any real secrets. I don't even know any. Just said enough to make you look cool. You should be thanking me."
"I should be thanking you?"
"Yeah, I didn't even mention your soft spot for me."
"That's not funny," he said, though the ghost of a smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"Don't be such a grouch," you replied with a wink. "The kids loved me. I mean, did you see their faces? Jack said I was better than all the other parents combined."
"Jack is biased," Hotch shot back, though his tone lacked its usual sternness.
"Well, what can I say?" You shrugged. "Oh, and for the record? I think I nailed it."
"Debatable," Hotch called after you, but there was no mistaking the faint chuckle under his breath.
You glanced over your shoulder, catching the small, fond smile he tried to hide. Oh, you definitely nailed it.

Notes: Hah I’m on time today hehehehehehe, Happiest Birthday to our Wooyoungie :D
Main masterlist | Be a part of my taglist!
The apartment was unusually loud today, not that you minded. Ateez had just wrapped up their comeback promotions, and the guys were taking a much needed break. Your brother, San, decided to come stay with you for the duration since your place was conveniently close to the dorms and the company building yet far enough from their everyday chaos. San’s presence was always welcome, there was still a room reserved for your dear brother with several of his favourite things in it, but along with him usually came a headache named Wooyoung. Now it wasn't that you hated Wooyoung or anything, you just happened to like him a little too much.
Your feelings for him had been quietly brewing for six long years—since his trainee days when he practically lived at your house, sticking to San like glue. Back then, you were awkward, caught in your teen phase, and Wooyoung had always treated you with an equal amount of affection as he gave San. You never minded those random hugs he gave you or the way he made himself comfortable with his head resting on your lap on movie nights, until one day. After their first comeback, Wooyoung had started looking a little too good and you found your heart beating a little faster than it usually did. Of course you always assumed he thought of you as a little sister and never made a move, not wanting to lose what you already had.
San, being the annoyingly perceptive brother he was, already figured out your not-so-little crush on his best friend years ago when he caught you gushing over Wooyoung’s fancams. He never pressured you to confess, but he wasn’t subtle in his approval either.
Now, Wooyoung was here, lounging comfortably on your couch, and you had to tread very carefully around him, trying to make sure you wouldn’t make any awkward mistakes.
But it seems fate didn’t like it that way. It was a good day, you had an off from work and San was preoccupied since all the other boys had come over too and had taken over your living room, it was a ‘sleepover’ as San claimed it to be. It was also Wooyoung’s birthday, the boys having partied hard the day before, chose to relax today. You realised your apartment somehow always ended up being the hotspot for these sleepovers, even though it wasn’t all that big, but you enjoyed nonetheless, all the guys were super nice to you, even if they occasionally flirted with you. At those times, usually san or wooyoung would come to your rescue.
You were tasked with making a huge lot of ramen, while the guys were engaged in an intense round of whatever video game they were on now, they had ordered fried chicken and some other side dishes to go with it as well. You slowly stirred the ramen, the scent of the broth filling the kitchen, lost in your thoughts, “Need help?” San’s voice startled you as he appeared beside you with Yeosang.
“Perfect timing,” you replied, handing them trays of bowls. Together, the three of you distributed the nine bowls of ramen in the living room, joining the rest of the group as the fried chicken delivery arrived.
Your favourite movie was put on, Howlks Moving Castle, the boys were sprawled across your couch and floor, plates and bowls in hand. You found yourself nestled very comfortably between San and Wooyoung under a large, fluffy blanket. The cozy warmth from their bodies threatened to lull you to sleep.
Halfway through the movie, a yelp startled you.
“Ow, hot, hot!” Wooyoung exclaimed, jolting upright. He had spilled some of the soup from his ramen onto his shirt, the stain spreading rapidly across the light blue fabric.
“Careful!” you fussed, setting his bowl aside and helping him fan the hot liquid off his skin. The movie was paused as everyone shuffled around, but you were already pulling Wooyoung toward San’s room.
Inside San’s room, you rummaged through the closet for a clean shirt.
“You cut your hair? It looks different,” Wooyoung asked suddenly, his voice softer than usual.
You paused, glancing over your shoulder. “I did. Is it… not good?”
“What? No way!” he said, sounding almost offended. “You look even more beautiful, sweetheart.”
Your cheeks warmed at the nickname. “Oh… thanks,” you murmured, tucking a strand behind your ear.
Wooyoung smirked, leaning casually against the doorway as you handed him a shirt. “Thanks,” he said. But before you could leave to give him privacy, he pulled his soiled shirt off, revealing his toned chest.
You froze, trying not to let your eyes wander, as your face grew hot. “Uh—I’ll just—”
“Why so shy?” he teased, clearly enjoying your reaction.
“I’m not shy!” you shot back, spinning around to face the wall.
He chuckled, and you felt his presence behind you. “Do I fluster you, sweetheart?” His voice dropped an octave, sending shivers down your spine.
You turned back, heart pounding as you found him standing closer than expected. His face was awfully close to yours, eyes gleaming with mischief and if you wanted you could kiss him, which is exactly what you did. You pecked his cheek lightly, making Wooyoung blink in surprise, and you took the opportunity to make a run for the door.
Unfortunately for you, he was faster.
Wooyoung caught your wrist, spinning you around and pinning you gently against the door. One arm rested beside your head while the other slowly settled on your waist.
“Running away after that?” he murmured, his gaze softening.
Your breathing hitched. “Woo—”
“Let me talk first,” he interrupted, his thumb rubbing against your hip. “You’ve plagued my thoughts for so long now. I see your pictures online, looking all pretty in those cute little outfits of yours, and I can’t help but think how much better they’d look if I were beside you, and god every single time you mentioned some boyfriend, it made me so mad, that why didn’t I have you for myself yet. I didn’t say anything because you’re Sannie’s little sister, but…” He paused, exhaling deeply, he lifted a lock of your hair. “Now you’re teasing me again, looking so tempting with your new hair. I can’t hold it in anymore.”
Your heart was racing, you gulped at his confession and decided to do something crazy.
You grabbed his collar and kissed him. You almost pulled back, before he responded, his lips pressing back much more intensely, his hand on you waist pulling you closer to him and your arms going around his neck, as his kissed you with fervour. His tongue teased your bottom lip before you were forced to part for air.
You pulled away, your foreheads resting together, both of you flushed and breathless.
“Happy Birthday to me, I guess,” he laughed, “You’re full of surprises, always know how to drive me insane” he kissed you again, “So, can I call you mine now?”
“Yes,” you breathed, unable to stop smiling.
Before either of you could say more, a knock sounded at the door.
San poked his head in, his eyes narrowing as he took in your flushed faces and disheveled appearances. “Are you two okay? You’ve been gone for a while.”
“Yeah, we’re fine,” Wooyoung answered quickly.
San scanned the room one more time before smirking. Slowly closing the door, he yelled back into the living room, “They’re totally together now!”
A chorus of cheers erupted from the rest of Ateez.
“About time!” Yunho hollered.
You and Wooyoung laughed, leaning into each other as you listened to the chaos outside. “They’ve known all along, haven’t they?” you asked.
“Probably,” Wooyoung replied with a fond smile. You just laughed, pressing another sweet kiss to his lips.

What’s in a name?
One of the last defining memories Percy Jackson had with his mother before arriving at Camp Half-Blood was her reminder that names have power. He’s held fast to that belief, treading carefully with his words in this unfamiliar place that he’s supposed to call home so soon after losing his own.
Being the new kid for the hundredth time in his life means that he’s accustomed to change, much less introducing himself as Percy Jackson, whatever that means at this point—but then becoming known simply as the kid who causes trouble. What then, is he supposed to do, when his first friend at camp introduces him to a girl who embodies the name trouble?
To Luke, through Percy’s actions, it seems as if he’s trying to reclaim a crown that currently belongs to the beloved head counselor of Camp Half-Blood.
—
The dining pavilion is filled with mouth-watering scents and the sound of chattering campers to the point that it’s a bit overstimulating if he thinks too hard about it. Mr. Brunn—er, Chiron told him to take it easy after the events from yesterday, but he feels a bit tough on luck after making Luke run circles around camp trying to find what he’s good at.
“Is there a Greek god of disappointment? Maybe someone should ask if he’s missing a kid,” Percy says glumly, pushing the mac and cheese around on his plate. Luke sighs, letting the boy to his right speak.
“Oizys,” Chris mumbles through full cheeks before he cocks his head at the 12-year-old, “but she’s a goddess, and her whole thing isn’t really disappointment, it’s more like failure.”
Luke looks to Chris with a half smile before looking back at the kid and saying, “We’re gonna find the thing you’re good at. I know it.” He looks like he’s going to say something else before something, or someone catches his attention and it’s almost like the older boy is transfixed, eyes shining with mischief or something deeper that Percy’s young brain couldn’t comprehend just yet.
“And here comes trouble…” Luke says with a smirk, eyes following your figure until your feet take you to their table. The sandy-haired boy twists around, expecting to see a goddess of some sort until he sees you, violet eyes and a lilt of something sinister—giving off the energy of someone who holds power but also likes to fuck with it. You cross your arms over your chest, gaze floating over the three boys and at the tip of your chin, Luke takes his plate off the table, prompting you to hop up and slide onto the smooth surface in front of him.
“You look like someone kicked your puppy, so you must be the new kid. Peter, right?”
A snort of laughter comes from behind your slouched form, Luke partially concealed but body obviously shaking with amusement as he looks at you.
“He might just turn out to be a puppy kicker one day,” the son of Hermes jokes, “Meet Percy Jackson.”
“That’s not…”
You sigh at Luke’s idea of a joke, face incredulous as you lean over and conjure strawberries onto Percy’s plate. He’d never seen anything like that before, someone so casual about their abilities, but he didn’t have much of a reference past yesterday. This camp keeps surprising him in ways he’s never imagined possible.
“Heard D gave you a hard time earlier, sorry about him—I’d blame it on withdrawals but he’s just an asshole,” you offer with a smile and a handshake as you introduce yourself, watching the boy’s eyes widen with wonder.
“It’s not your fault…I’m used to being the new kid.”
Eyebrows furrowing at his tone, you lean in closer, voice turning serious. You’re a lot like Mr. D in the sense that it’s easy for you to poke at the kids who come through here for a reaction to make sure they’re okay mentally. When they don’t react is usually the call for help.
“Well, new kid, if anyone gives you a problem here at camp, you let me know. Even if it’s these two hooligans, or if it’s my dad.”
“You’re talking to our lovely head counselor, Percy. She calls the shots around here,” Chris chimes in jest. But only one part of your sentence sticks in his mind as he whips his head up from munching on a berry.
“He’s your dad?”
“Yeah, unfortunately,” you giggle, “and though you’re sweet and I would love to have you as a sibling, he kind of has a rule on having too many kids at once, unlike other gods.”
“A rule he’s already broken,” Luke drones, hand fidgeting with the black bandana tied around your thigh, “but who knows? If Percy ends up to be one of you, well…may the gods have mercy on us all.”
A deadpan stare is directed at the scarred boy, and you swipe at his curls like a feral cat, making him wince and laugh all the same as he bats you away.
“Tough shit, 11. Do you know how many hellions inhibit your cabin? Your dad inflicts agony on me personally every time another one of your siblings walks past the boundaries.”
The petty squabble is interrupted by the chime of the bell over your heads, but you two are still in a world of your own. It reminds Percy of the time he watched two subway rats fight over a pizza slice on the 6 train—he didn’t really know who to root for then either. Chris sighs and gets up, nudging Luke to follow, which he does begrudgingly as he claps his large hand on your leg. You hiss.
“Our turn!” Luke says with a hint of sarcasm.
“Our turn for what?”
“Burnt offerings,” you explain as you chomp on a strawberry, “the gods like the smell, so it gets their attention before you say a prayer.” You notice Percy stay in his seat, which makes a smile pull at your lips, “Think you’re off the hook for today though, bud. Or you can be just like me.”
“Don’t give him any ideas, Trouble. I’ll throw in a few for Hestia.” Luke chews at his lip as he leans over you to grab a few berries off of Percy’s plate to toss into the fire for you.
“You don’t pray?”
“I’m not really the religious type. I’ve got what I need,” you concede, leaning back on your palms as you watch the son of Hermes stand for a few extra seconds at the hearth. “Besides, my godrent is right over there, and Luke worries enough for me. It’s more his thing,” you say with a lazy smile. The campers filing out of the dining hall wave at you and you enthusiastically greet everyone with dancing fingers. He doesn’t think he’s ever met anyone that…happy to be on the job, but things work differently around here, so he doesn’t think much of your upbeat attitude.
“Eat up. Some of that strength has to go to you. Gonna need it.” You say ruffling Percy’s hair, and when Luke comes back, he tugs at the shoelaces of your boots until you kick his hands away. You both share a smile like people do a secret, even here in the open air.
“Do they like the smell of burnt mac and cheese?” Percy says curiously, eating another spoonful of the meal. His head hurts at another thing to consider in this brand-new world he’s walked into.
“They like the smell of begging,” Luke grins, and you laugh like a firework going off, making Percy’s lips pull up into a smile.
“I’m not much of a beggar though, if you ask me.”
The son of Hermes hums at you like he wants to say otherwise, and you slap his chest as you suck air through your teeth. Beneath the wood top of the table and with Percy being none the wiser, your fingers intertwine with Luke’s like it’s second nature.
“You burn what you’ll miss the most. Then they know you really mean what you’re about to say, so they listen.”
Luke takes a breath after explaining how things work for the nth time to the kid, knowing Percy’s quite persistent about making his dad notice him. He remembers being jaded too—striving to be the best for a lick of his dad’s attention and all of his efforts were done in vain. Even though the kid’s arrival at camp was a bit unexpected, Luke doesn’t mind showing him around.
Hopefully, less work on your end means that he can spend more time with you once this is over with— but by the looks of how the day is going so far, he’s not so sure. He hopes his offerings reach the gods and they grant him extra patience for his good deeds. Watching you laugh at something Percy says as you all walk out of the dining pavilion, Luke wonders if you know that every offering he burns for the goddess of the hearth and home is so that she’ll protect you.
—
“Lights out in 10 minutes, cabin 11! Everyone ready for bed?”
The sound of your voice jolts Percy awake from his post-dinner nap and he blinks slowly until he sees you walking towards him with extra blankets and pillows in your grasp. The other campers were kind of stand-offish, and after praying to his mom he was overwhelmed with the feeling of missing her, so much so that it drained the rest of his energy.
“Long day, huh bud?”
Drowsy with sleep, for a moment, Percy forgets where he is—the unfamiliar walls of the cabin making him shift with unease as he rubs at his eyes. The blurry version of you makes his chest go warm and for a second, it’s like—
“Mom?”
He blinks again, his pale face turning red when he realizes his slip-up. Percy’s shoulders drop when he hears giggles from somewhere in the big cabin and you reach out to smooth his hair away from his face with a gentle smile.
“Don’t worry about it. Everyone who first comes to 11 gets nightmares. For some of them, they don’t leave,” you mutter. Percy notices your eyes flicker over to Luke’s bed, where he’s zipping up his hoodie and chatting with one of his half-siblings. Cabin 11 is finally quieting down for the night—children scrambling into their bunks, doing nighttime routines, and having quiet conversations. It’s all so weird, this being everyone’s normal.
“You’re not alone though. Saw you earlier, outside. I still pray to my mom sometimes. She's quite the listener,” you say with a sad twinkle in your eye. The kid sniffs as you hand him the pillows and blankets, finally meeting your gaze.
“Did your mom…” Die too? The words feel like lead in his throat, feeling heavy as he swallows it down. He doesn’t want to cry in front of the pretty counselor, much less speak the truth, because if he says it out loud, it means his mom dying must have been real. Also, you’ve seen him sit in the dark of the forest burning blue jelly beans like a freak. What he didn’t know is that you pride yourself on being one. It takes one to know one, after all.
“Yeah. Makes for one hell of an origin story, but I found my place here, and people who care. I know you will too, when you’re rea—” Your words trail off when you see Luke walk past the both of you with a cool expression before he nods towards the door, and you squeeze Percy’s shoulder before getting up.
“Night guys! It’s getting late so we’ll have to do a story next time, okay?” You walk down the aisle patting heads and tucking in smaller campers, and he hears you whack the younger Stoll brother when he teasingly says, “It’s not fair that Luke gets a bedtime story and we don’t…”
“Connor, enough. I’ve lost count of how many times you’ve woken up and called me mom, so save it for tomorrow, chuckles.” He must have been the one laughing earlier.
“Everyone say goodnight Trouble!” Luke calls out with a coy expression, making you roll your eyes as you flick the light off to a symphony of jeers. It’s finally quiet as Percy is propped up against some pillows that smell like raspberries and soft cotton before he realizes he has to pee.
But Chris said harpies hunt kids after curfew… he thinks.
In a moment of sheer panic, Percy looks around in the darkness of the cabin before the sound of your cackling pierces through the dim light from the outside. He hops up from the makeshift cot and tugs his shoes back on, slowly creeping past the long row of bunks to not disturb other campers before he gets to the door. Your head turns quickly to the intrusion as you spring away from Luke, stubbing a cigarette underneath the wood panel out of sight when Percy steps through the doorway.
“Sorry, I need to use the bathroom,” he says sheepishly as Luke nods, scratching his neck and leaning a far distance away from you. Under the low burning lamps, Percy notices Luke’s cheeks redden and he wonders if he is interrupting something, but the urge to go increases as he steps between you two.
“Right. I’ll walk you to yours?” Luke blurts in one breath. With a wordless smile on your lips, you nod before Percy purposely interrupts this time.
“I can walk her, it’s on the way to the bathrooms, right?”
If only this poor kid knew he was being the cockblock of the century.
“Yeah, Percy’s got me. The harpies won’t like you missing curfew, Castellan,” you tease, stepping around him with a shit-eating grin. Your hair almost floats in the gentle breeze, and Luke rolls his eyes.
“Stay out of trouble. I mean it," he sighs, before shoving you off the porch, and you laugh at the irony of his words. Looking back at Luke, Percy noticed his eyes were on you like he wanted to live in your skin, which was equal parts disgusting and confusing to the 12-year-old. His steps double in pace as you both walk down the path and a brief side glance at your stifled smile quickly makes the kid wonder if you’d let him.
Pushing the sleeves of Luke’s hoodie past your elbows, you wave at Percy’s rushing figure as he almost bolts to the bathroom and you lean against the doorway of your empty cabin. You turn the light on and look across the way to see your boyfriend still leaning against his door, so you flip him off. Of course, he takes that as his cue to saunter over.
But then the loud clanging sound of pipes bursting reaches both of your ears and toilet water floods the dirt near the back end of your cabin.
So close.
“I’m gonna go check on Annie to see if she’s still on duty. Tough luck, babe,” you giggle, pressing a kiss to his cheek before walking in the direction that Percy went, sending the son of Hermes to drag his feet towards your cabin, alone (he didn’t expect to fall asleep propped over your covers waiting up for you, but a lot happened in that damn bathroom).
—
“Hey, today feel like a winning kind of day to you?” Annabeth smirks at the son of Hermes. Next to them, Percy feels a hand clap him on the shoulder and all three of them turn to see you donning red.
“Didn’t you three hear the conch? Wouldn’t want you to fall behind,” you say with a grin as Luke steps up to you and whistles lowly.
“Didn’t know you were playing today. It’s a shame you look that good in red.”
Annabeth fake gags as she crosses her arms to say, “You’re also currently on enemy territory if you haven’t noticed.”
“Oh, you wound me. I’m not a threat. Percy, I obviously don’t have the flag, right?”
He nods a bit dumbly, still worried about the mechanics of the game and the part he has to play for the blue team, but no one else seems to share his concerns.
“Anyways, sorry I’m not on your team, Perce. The Ares kids snatched me up as soon as my name was on the roster, so I came to wish you all luck.”
“This better not be a diversion tactic, Trouble,” Luke simpers, playfully tugging at your staff, which you use for leverage to step up onto a rock to meet him at eye level.
“Nah. You know I like the competition, angelface,” you whisper, almost daring him to do something.
“Bite me, Trouble.”
There’s a fire in his eyes you’d love to stoke, but now’s not the time or place. You can’t help but indulge though—the both of you enjoy the reactions you can pull from each other.
“You’d like it too much.”
“Alright now,” Annabeth groans, calling your name, rolling her eyes as she pulls at Luke’s arm, “Gotta remember he’s your enemy!”
“I’M TRYING!” You laugh, shaking your head and walking back towards your team as you shoot them a fake salute. It all happens too quickly as Percy’s unable to catch the spitfire words between the two of you, thinking further about how he might get maimed during this game (which in the grand scheme of things, he almost does. Thanks Clarisse).
“Those two are hopeless! Walk faster, sunshine—we lost too much time watching whatever that was.” Percy stumbles along the forest path as he follows Annabeth, the both of them leaving Luke smirking to himself as he follows the rest of their team.
Hours later, at Clarisse’s muddy feet and holding her broken spear, Percy hears cheering in the distance as he watches the blue team led by Luke waving the red flag in one hand and your legs supported by his other. You’re in a fireman’s hold across his shoulders and everyone watches as the son of Hermes spins you around like a Tilt-a-Whirl until the sound of your shrieks is audible from the shoreline.
He sets you down gently, dominant hand still around your waist as he snickers, “Got my win and my girl. Must be time to celebrate.” You laugh at his absurdity, pulling his helmet off and wiping the sweat off his forehead with your bandana.
“You’re always going to be a loser in my eyes.”
Slapping the plush of your hip, the sound echoes in the air—suddenly quiet as you gasp. But you’re not looking at Luke anymore, but rather the gleaming trident above Percy’s head as it’s revealed he’s a Forbidden Child. His jaw tightens at the sight, and there are a lot of emotions running through him, remembering Thalia and knowing that his plans will have to be altered once more because of Percy Jackson. You squeeze his hand before walking away from him to follow your dad and Chiron to the Big House, shooting him a nervous glance.
Damn.
—
The boys have been sparring for hours, and just as you think Percy’s getting the hang of it, Luke thrusts forward with an energy no one should have towards a 12-year-old. Although a bit concerning, he does have a lot to catch up on how to fight like a demigod before his quest in a few days.
“Take a break or else you’ll be crawling away from camp by the end of the week,” you joke, handing Percy and Luke bottles of cold water. Your boyfriend takes big gulps before pouring the rest over his head, leaving you gaping and a little hot under his stare as he nudges your chin and winks.
“You’re doing that on purpose!”
Luke shrugs slyly, and the both of you watch Percy catch his breath. He leans over your shoulder, the tone of his voice sultry as it tickles your ear, “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other word would smell as sweet.”
You bite your lip, before bursting with laughter—which isn’t exactly the reaction he thought you’d have. Maybe he should’ve finished reading the sonnet before falling asleep, but you always take too long with your nighttime skincare routine.
“That doesn’t mean what you think it means, but you’re cute for trying,” you coo, leaning closer so that your cheek touches his. Luke’s whole face is warm from exertion and now embarrassment, but he smiles nonetheless at the proximity. He can’t believe he still misses you, even when you’re skin-to-skin like this.
“That stanza…Isn’t it about names being meaningless?” Percy says between gasps of air before he pours the rest of the water bottle over his head like Luke did. He’s looking up at the both of you as he leans against a tree, instantly feeling more rejuvenated.
You jerk up from your seated position on the large rocks, excited to talk about Shakespeare, and Luke almost pouts at the loss of your attention.
“Yeah! Good job, bud. I forget you went to a hoity-toity charter school,” you say tongue-in-cheek, before turning back to your boy.
“So Romeo would, were he not Romeo called, retain that dear perfection which he owes without that title. Romeo, doff thy name, and, for thy name, which is no part of thee, take all myself. You’re gonna have to interpret that one yourself, angelface.”
“Trust I have no fucking clue but you sound really hot when you talk dirty to me,” Luke says with a shrug. Percy laughs at that, before finally bringing up the question that’s been on his mind since Luke introduced you to him.
“Why do you call her Trouble? She seems okay to me.”
“Thanks,” you say dryly, but the older boy leans on his arm with a lovestruck expression as he gazes at you. Oh…Percy thinks, brain feeling freshly washed. How did he miss that?
“She used to get in trouble a lot,” he says, before you elbow him hard, “I mean, we used to get in trouble, she’d always drag me into it.”
“You always offered! Don’t twist the fucking story,” you shriek, and the boys laugh at your exasperation.
“Yeah anyways, she’d always find me. Still does, my partner in crime. Trouble always comes for me,” Luke murmurs, waggling his eyebrows and intertwining your fingers together. Your jaw drops and cheeks flush and Percy thinks he understands better now, but gets confused again with what you do next.
You almost slap the goddamn scar off that boy’s face.
