That is why often the source of chronic pain and soreness is due to situations that happened in the past where your fascial system had to adjust and compensate. In each situation, your body compensates by taking the path of least resistance and add more layers, to avoid pain, absorb the force of an impact, support poor posture, and work around a new movement limitation. What I am convinced of after years of experience, is that if one area is damaged or put under tension, it affects the balance and symmetry in other areas. Tensegrity is a useful model to better understand how damage of one body part can cause pain in other areas, even though they appear unrelated. The priority as a Fascia Coach is to help to release musculoskeletal tension, allow greater range of motion through the entire myofascial system and work on a wide spreading of knowledge about the fascial system and its virtues. One of my FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT INHERITED TRAUMA RESOLUTION + ANCESTRAL HEALING is that everything is possible. That everything can heal. ⁠⠀⁠⠀ ⁠⠀⁠⠀ That the dark, the forgotten, the quiet, the hurt and the trauma transmute into the light, into reverend remembering, into blossoming self-expression, into peace and resolution. That patterns of dis-ease and destruction are healed through releasing the imprints and reconnecting to patterns of health and wisdom. ⁠⠀⁠⠀ ⁠⠀⁠⠀ That this work unfolds on many different levels, that it becomes visible, feel-able in its very own timing that is JUST right for us and our ancestors.⁠⠀⁠⠀ ⁠⠀⁠⠀ That this work creates containers to get in touch with our personal connection to the wounds we’ve inherited so that we can free them from our bodies, our hearts, and our minds. ⁠⠀⁠⠀ ⁠⠀⁠⠀ Through this work, we remember that we’re not alone but deeply connected to all that there is. That we belong to ourselves and each other. That we are an important part of the whole. That we are human. Personal Trauma can be the catalyst for making Inherited Trauma visible.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Before beginning this work, the traumatic experiences I've had in my life felt random, out of the blue and didn't make sense in the context of my life (because trauma never really makes sense). ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ When I found this work I was able to connect the dots from my own personal trauma back to the same kind of trauma that the women and men in my family had experienced decades ago. It didn't hurt any less or justified it - but it felt less random and made me feel less afraid in a way. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ What I've learned through my own experience and through working with my clients is that personal trauma often reveals the core imprints and wounds of those who came before us. Sometimes the experience of personal trauma is the catalyst that wakes us up to all the wounds and imprints we've been carrying forever.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ What I also want to say here is that if you've been healing your personal trauma for what feels like forever and you're still feeling stuck or like it's never going to heal - maybe not all of this is yours to begin with.
