TOMMY: It's about he told told me why he wanted to do it. Now if I tell you I can't take the knowledge back. Better off without it.
#peaky blinders#peakyblindersgifs#tv#tvedit#am somewhat wistful that this is the most ex/plicit the show would ever get with tommy's own trau/ma here#it's appropriately realistic for the character; there's no way he'd ever express it in a more forward manner#but yes him trying to kill hughes in the same episode as we learn of their father's death and that he *fails* is the thing#some part of him will always stay dead. He Knows.#though you can argue about the actual catharsis possible: polly didn't experience it either when she killed campbell#it's only her arc of self-acceptance that helped her make peace with it#irrespective if these men deserved to die (they did to be sure)#also crazy that you can see the markings of tatiana's strang/ulation here. nightmare show.#also [points] arthur mention

not to get all analytical and stuff, but bam and endorsi shouldn't end up together- not because of bam, or khun, or whoever else you ship with him - but because of ENDORSI.
characters in tog are quite commonly either parallels or foils to the main cast - wangnan wants the role bam was forced into, hatz is the complete opposite of khun, and khun, bam, rachel and endorsi are... well. the general story of bam, khun, and rachel is "person is abused by their family, forms an unhealthy relationship with the first person they recieve genuine affection from, leaves and finds someone else". there are so many parallels between the three of them, its hard to analize their characters without delving into the other's. endorsi... well, shes got everything but the last step. her story ended on the first floor, and shes been begging bam not to leave her for whoever she thinks hes interested in. she has a team of her own - she has aanak - but bam was the first. bam was the first to offer her friendship, the first to show her genuine care, the first person she ever connected with. she didnt have a rachel or a maria or a bam, she only had her abusive family and... bam.
and bam doesn't care about her as much as she cares about him. which is perfectly fine! he doesnt owe her a return of her feelings. but to him, she isnt even *the* friend. he objectively cares about khun and rak more, to the point where its a running gag that he wont even realise shes talking to him if hes already talking to khun. he doesnt become as vulnerable or as trusting as he is with khun when around her. he doesnt revert to the sweet, happy persom he truly is when hes with her, like he does when hes with khun. he cares about her, a lot! but in the same way that he cares about team shibisu or sweet and sour. shes had to fight her entire life to be seen as worthy, shes had to be the strongest and the prettiest or she wouldnt be worth FEEDING. there is no way in hell being in a relationship with a person who shes never going to be the priority for is healthy for her.
she cares about him, a lot, and it goes both ways. but sometimes your loved ones, in any sense of the word, arent the destination, but the bridge. and she deserves someone who she is the number one to, no matter what
#i dont mean this in the context of any romantic feelings between any of the characters aside from her feelings for bam#this works no matter what you ship imo#but in general she just deserves better. she deserves more#tower of god#also i do imply that khun is the number one for bam when its arguably rachel for a long while but thast got more to do with unprocessed trau#ma and whhen it comes down to it and she harms khun. he chooses khun. over rachel.

Is it necessary to forgive insults in order to move on?
Initially, the answer to this question may seem unambiguous to us - of course. After all, how else can we continue our journey in this harsh life with such a burden on our shoulders. However, is this really what is holding us back? How much do bad memories affect our lives? And do they have any effect at all, because this is far from our only concern - to look at our scars and think what caused them.
Many argue that forgiveness is the only way to healing.
They're probably right about something. It is possible to treat damage, the presence of which you do not recognize. But this does not mean that all paths lead to the same end. In order to start working on this part of yourself, it is enough to see and allow yourself to feel the pain that was inflicted on us earlier. It is not necessary to immediately rush with noble speeches that you have already let it go and do not hold a grudge against those people at all. At the very least, this is most likely not entirely true. As a maximum, it's not really healthy, hiding your feelings, pretending that you overcame it, you deprive yourself of the opportunity to live through the trauma and, subsequently, really let go.
Forgiveness is a skill we've been taught all our lives.
The idea that holding a grudge against offenders is almost a sin is laid down to us from an early age. Many parents said the hackneyed "be smarter / taller than them" and the like. Like, being offended by fools who call you tolstoy is a thankless thing. And even if they don't teach you to tolerate such an attitude towards yourself and encourage you to defend your borders, there will always be a couple of smart guys who will immediately call you a snitch. Understanding and forgiving immediately begins to sound like a better prospect.
In adult life, the rules do not change, only the methods change. Loud name-calling turns into obsessive advice, and accusations of snitching turn into stories about your hypersensitivity. At some point, it may really seem that the efforts to explain his condition, which has noticeably worsened from such verbal sparring, are in vain. It's easier not to be offended at all, that's why the whole team is spoiling the infusion.
Forgiveness is not for those who hurt you, it is for you.
Again, how to look at it. Of course, this idea sounds beautiful. Like, I'm so conscious of losing interest in constant whining about you and flourishing in my forgetfulness. Our option is still just to let go. And what about those nights that I cried into my pillow nonstop? Or tons of ice cream, which I ate my grief with? Surely all these sacrifices are for nothing. I'm kidding, obviously. But there is a fine line between not allowing a person to treat you badly and throwing tantrums like a young child.
And what if the abuser is a member of the inner circle? After all, they will never know how much I don't like their jokes about my failed personal life. "But I should just leave it in the past. I'm doing this for myself, not for them". However, for some reason this song doesn't calm me down at all. Someone will continue to behave in this way, maybe already with someone else, if I stop all communication with them, and new people will endlessly forgive them, for the sake of the illusion of the opportunity to amuse their ego with new achievements in the practice of "empty chair".
Is it worth trying to step over yourself for the sake of peace?
Ultimately, every person is different. Someone really needs to let go of the situation, let their resentment disappear and try to forget everything. And someone needs a reminder that the injury inflicted on them is not their fault at all. That there is a culprit in the world, and he has every right not to forgive him. A kind of power, I can stop being mad at you, or I can continue, I took these reins. People don't have to heal in order to eventually forgive or vice versa. The main thing in this situation, in any case, is yourself. Your feelings have been hurt, and trust has been undermined, and what to do next is up to you.

Kuma the Pooh, Kuma the Pooh
Chubby little Kuma all stuffed with trau-ma. So Kuma just paw-paw blasted his way up the ol favorites list, but not as much as Ginny. Who I'm definitely guessing is Bonney's mom. TCB Scans had a t/n that her song matches the cadence of Winnie the Pooh's iconic theme song. Which is...amazing. All this stuff about Bonney & Kuma is definitely hitting a degree harder so soon after losing my own father, and that's a fun tie. His old coworker I needed to reach out to so that group would know, I always remember her having this awesome Winnie the Pooh collection in her office. Speaking of, have you ever seen the Russian version?
Is Soviet Piglet a capitalist pig? Because those pants are max drip. Rabbit being kinda a loser nerd is also a plus, screw him. While I'm on it, how the hell did a kangaroo get in the mix? Did Christopher Robin's dad have an illegal kangaroo he'd take around to box hill folk at county fairs? What the fuck am I even on about? Well you see...
Nah, just screwing around. Kuma is so good here though. Selflessness, spelling it out directly with Saturn, it's all the stuff we've been on about all Egghead. I love the example of saving 500 and still kicking himself for not being able to do more. But as much as Kuma puts those themes on display...Ginny.
I've seen plenty of people independently talking about how Rocks had a very similar vibe to the Straw Hats if they started fracturing and Ginny's straight up playing the type of role I've made the argument is an opening. Yes, Nami's a thief. The rest of it. Wiretapping, masking your movements with decoys, strategic leaks, playing your enemies against each other. Whoever it may be, I do feel like that Quartermaster role is the last one that would really make sense. Where she truly shines, and where this gets weird,
But there's another element too. Telling the story of who slipped away amidst the chaos of a big, historical happening cloaked in mystery. How Ginny didn't need a huge, defining moment to quietly choose to stay with Kuma instead of big bro Iva. I'm really curious where the rest of this goes. I'm sure it's going to be absolutely depressing after ending on such a happy note.

D pulls out a card from a hat.
D: Oh man. *D muttered quietly to herself before speaking normally* Baby Nala's first words.
(So, I suppose it's Bls and Bo's turn to mock Nala)
Bls: WAHHH! Trau-ma!!! WAH!!!
Bo: Bich!!! F∆¢k you!!!
They both laugh

ok TW: me/ntal il/lness and trau/ma mentions (to avoid stuff showing up in tags): but is anyone else in a weird spot like me... i have a re/str/ict/ive E/D but also a feedism kink.. ????? how. why. also. normal/vanilla sex & horny noises kind of gross me out usually unless im in a horny mood and not in a bad trau/ma moment lol. is anyone else like this?
My experiences might not be exactly the same as yours (at least in regard to the first part), but I've been around here long enough to have seen that you are far from alone. I get so uncomfortable so quickly whenever people so much as bring up burping in casual conversation, as normal and/or gross of a thing it is to >99% of the population. It's hard trying to act natural and find a good way to change the subject without feeling awkward...
#and irt the first part: sometimes we find our k*nks and sometimes our k*nks find us#sometimes our minds surprise us by being into things that contradict other ways that we think and act#it can be emotionally and mentally hard to deal with especially when two things are that strongly opposed#in the end we can't help thinking what we think#but we can shape how/whether or not we act on those thoughts#i truly wish you well anon#ask#answered#anon#also i realize now i don't really have a proper e/d tag so uh. hang on a sec#on not#<- (i'll use this unless i think of something better)#(think of it as short for 'on eating and not')#(feel free to blacklist it)#(i just didn't want to use any specific words that might draw people to this blog bc i've had problems with that before)#(hence why i didn't actually have a decent tag for it until now)#not sfw
