5:55 pm. The clock above Ouroboros' doorway ticks the seconds out almost impatiently. Suki, the japanese bobtail Ouro adopted years back, starts kneading the couch on her favorite blanket for the second time that night. She curls up, then gives a small yawn.

Ouro, on the other hand, brings out a couple whiskey glasses just in case anyone wants Whiskey or Bourbon. He goes to his liquor cabinet and starts sifting through the alcohol he has, bringing out a cotton candy grape red wine, a vintage bourbon and a rye whiskey. He places them down on the coffee table gently, along with a cork screw for the wine.

Then he ventures back into the kitchen for snacks. Not the fancy kind, those got old after about the eighteen hundreds. This is more of.. deviled eggs (a classic), kettle corn, chips, and other such foods that he knows his frenemies guests like or have liked over the years. Custard is out too. Took him a while to find his recipe, but he found it and the ingredients finally.

It had been a week or two since Tara had darkened Ted’s doorstep, they still saw one another in class of course but the new found… openness between them honestly had been too much for her at first. She had never intended for him to learn that much about her that soon, and part of her refused to believe he didn’t at least somewhat judge her. Still, she found herself lingering on his contact in her phone more and more until eventually she was typing a text:

She lingers on their text thread a moment longer, before forcibly setting her phone down on her bed and searching for the little baggie in her jewelry case.
