I know it’s a joke in the Little Trash Mouth AU that Izuku licks his hand and Overhaul immediately gains Izuphobia (fear of Izuku’s everything) because surely his mouth is a cesspool of germs. But considering his quirk let’s him eat toxic/poisonous things, wouldn’t that mean that his body is constantly sanitizing itself? I think it would be funnier if Izuku is honestly the most germ-free person in existence, but nobody would ever believe that. Kid just doesn’t get sick.

I could very much see this as being the vibe. Because look, Izuku's stomach?? Low-key a black hole. There's speculation that Hisashi's quirk wasn't just fire breathing, that maybe he had like lava gut or something which is why Izuku is the way that he is.

Aizawa drags Izuku to Recovery Girl, convinced this kid is gonna be patient zero to some kind of super virus and Recovery Girl is just like "this child is clean to a degree that frankly scares me??"

Izuku only got sick one time growing up and that's when he was around five or six. He vomited blood, slime, and chunky bits he couldn't identify, slept for 12 hours, and woke up fine.

Unbeknownst to him that was his quirk manifesting and restructuring his entire system.
