Hey I wanted to ask, one time you said you disliked the then-current drafts of 'not sorry for loving you' because of the calypso representation in them, so what do you think of the final product?

Hummm I mean tbh, it didn't change much from the drafts so my opinion remains largely the same haha. I think it could be an interesting attempt at manipulation? But my issue is specifically with the line "I love you. But not the way that you want me to." I saw some people say it could be him trying to placate her, but the thing is he leaves Immediately after, which would make trying to placate her not very useful. It's almost like a last word kind of thing? But it's crazy work for your last words to your captor to be I Love You

spoilers for the pjo show episodes 1-7

as of 10pm pst 25/01/2024 i have finished watching episode 7 of the pjo show and i was going to wait and see the final episode before posting my thoughts but i feel like critisism is fine at all points of a show so. this accidentally turned into the majority of my points & some are just poking fun/funny notes

some notes before i get into complaining: im having fun. this is fun for me. complaining about differences is fun for me. if its not for you, dont read this. i also havent even read mark of athena EVER and the last time i properly read a pjo book was in 2021. ive been skimming the first book alongside watching the episodes. and i am not seriously pissed off about the show as a whole. there are parts im pissed off at. there are parts that i think are fucking hilarious comparatively. there are parts im neutral on. i dont hate this show on principle just bc its not the books.

anyway the funniest takeaway from this adaptation is that we can literally complain down to a single grain of sand. if that vibe isnt what you like, maybe dont open the read more

yeah its hilarious how they changed the "grover nearly falls into tartarus" scene from gravel floor in the books to a sand floor in the show. idk why they did it but i can complain down to a single fuckin grain of sand. this is hilarious

look okay i love hades. just. period. in the actual myths, in the pjo books, how most people characterize him as a whole, and how i worship him as a pagan. notice how i didnt mention the show. like. show!hades is fine. hes just not book!hades. not even CLOSE. wheres the yelling? the "and I will have my helm back!" wheres the "He was the third god I'd met, but the first who really struck me as godlike." in the show hes just flamboyant. in the books hes a drama King and rightfully angry and complains about the state of his realm. whyd they do this to him. what the fuck

on the topic of godly gods. only hermes and hades have seemed like gods. hermes more than hades. ares, dionysus, and hephaestus are all just Guys. just some fuckin dudes. and the only reason hermes and hades actually seem like Gods is bc of their attitude/dialogue/mannerism and the scenery around them respectively. not combined. respectively.

i would LOVE to see the mental gymnastics percy had to do to guess that kronos is behind this shit. in the books there are five times kronos is mentioned. 1: as the first mythological being ever mentioned. 2: talking about the big three's dad before percy gets his prophecy. 3: when percy questions what it was like before the gods' time just before going on the quest. 4: when percy is speaking to zeus and poseidon alone on olympus. 5: when percy realizes who luke serves. they do NOT explicitly state that its kronos in the underworld. percy doesnt even finish his THOUGHT of who gave him the bag with the bolt before he tries to make amends with a pissed off hades. hes not able to explain to hades that it was ares EVER.

typical "oh percys so much smarter in the show than in the books" except its the kids are so much smarter about the myths than they should be. and like i Understand okay? i get it. sally made sure to grow percy up on the myths so hes prepared. annabeth has been at camp for five years, learning all she can as a child of athena. grover is in his mid twenties and a satyr. a protector. of course they should know shit. but figure it all out before even meeting the monsters? they knew it was medusa as soon as they saw the 'aunty m' sign. they knew it was procrustes before even ENTERING the building. why? why not have the kids be blindsided by shit? especially with medusa, who is meant to have either an enchantment-type thing like cc's island or who can bend the mist to have an enchantment-like thing that fooled annabeth. and crusty worked so fast they didnt have time to compare notes before grover and annabeth were trapped on their beds. why do they immediately know whats going on? wheres the suspense? wheres the showing not telling?

i always thought sally wouldve been yknow Normal just frozen in time and with gold dust around her similar to the sulphur of monsters disintegrating. not that she Was Gold. its like they really wanted to show off their fake gold statues idea

remember how hades looked in the show. now heres a screenshot of percy describing him. they are not the same (yes im salty about it)

How Fucking Dare they skip Persephone's garden. Why. absolutely Why. yes i do worship her too and im so damn salty theres not even a MENTION of her in ep 7

did i mention that the area around the pit to tartarus is meant to be gravel and not sand? bc its meant to be gravel. and they sure as hell couldntve leasurely stuck around it to chat bc its meant to INHALE. ITS MEANT TO TRY AND SUCK THE KIDS IN.

btw the 4 pearls? im fine with that. grover shouldve lost his on the tumble towards tartarus and we shouldve seen it fuckin fly away and watch the kids watch it plummet to the bottom. hell having a little after credits scene at the end of ep 8 where a random monster gets sent to the beach bc the pearl landed on them and shattered wouldve been HILARIOUS.

the missed deadline however? no. bullshit. 'its so the lotus can be even more dangerous' my ass. percys determined to see this quest through to the end, determined to stop the war before it fully starts, and yet theres no urgency. id even say theres LESS urgency than the books where they had a DAY to get the bolt & get to zeus (with added helm to hades & ares fight). sure it didnt make much sense for ALL THAT to be within a DAY but yknow what? time is fucky and they couldve had the underworld take like three overworld minutes yknow?

speaking of the war theyve know it could happen since the WINTER SOLSTICE. its now passed the SUMMER SOLSTICE. 'your father must rally his men' WHAT HAVE THEY BEEN DOING FOR HALF A YEAR??? SITTIN ON THEY ASSES TWIDDLIN THEIR THUMBHS???

lets go back to hades's aura btw bc ares didnt even have his. not a single fucking deity has had their aura. there was nothing with dionysus about madness and grapes (no scared reaction from percy), no war and fighting with ares (no weird anger from percy), and no hades feeling like he owns your very soul. why? whys there no aura? that might be the biggest reason none of these guys feel like gods to me

where's perseus "sass & improv" jackson. theres no "lord and uncle, i come with two requests". theres no "who said anything about dreams?". theres no fucking "big bathtub" no "circus caravan" not even fucking "you look taller"

why didnt the other flying shoe kick them on the head. cmon guys

the souls in asphodel arent ALWAYS bound with regret and their choices (or lackthereof) in life. sometimes thats where the ordinary go. thats where the regular ass people go, or the people that dont want to even have a chance of going to the fields of punishment. you got this right in the books, why did you revert to this in the show?

also no hint of hazel? i dont care if we never get to hoo. we might not get to titans curse, making the nico & bianca hint useless. im not sayin they shouldve casted someone as hazel for that scene, im not sayin she shouldve been the only root-bound spirit talking (dislike that idea, btw, what happened to wandering spirits thatre not spooky. theyre just sad.). one of the root-bound spirits just having fucking crystals sprouted up next to them wouldve been good enough.

logic issue: how the fuck do the roller coasters in the lotus work. when they first pan up to look at the outside theres people on roller coasters and theyre on the OUTSIDE of the building. does the time bubble extend to them? then why are they normal-paced when the lotus moves far slower than the outside world? or are the roller coasters outside the bubble, but because of the time fuckery, it kinda just looks like they blip out of existence for less than a blink and are straight back inside the casino? and the lotus in the air makes them not question the rapidly changing outside world's appearance?

i will say im glad they kept annabeth's mess up with the IM. "show me camp half-blood. chiron's office." compared to "half-blood hill." she was a bit more specific sure and it could bring the question of why luke was in chiron's office in the show.

first: how percy tossed the coin was shit and shouldntve gone that far. second: was that a reference to jason grace.

is getting an IM signal a new thing? as in "not percy jackson and the olympians" thing, and a "heroes of olympus and higher" thing? bc ive never heard of that, and it makes sense for a prism. which also makes sense for them to have since IMs are very important. just sucks that the water mist isnt gonna foreshadow sea of monsters when percy creates a mist so lukes confession has more witnesses (& the like dozen other times that percy makes mist for an IM, showing his power & control on such a minute scale, showing that hes way out of almost anyones league in power scale)

speaking of correcting annabeth: the medusa scene? where annabeth is all 'youre wrong bc my mother is just'? they shouldve had conflicting myths. i can understand doing the most modern retelling of medusa's myth (bonus points for it being roman in origin) bc the gods and monsters are heavily susceptible to belief. if enough people believe that retelling of the myth, then of course its gonna become the "true" one. they shouldve had annabeth argue that thats the roman myth and this is greek, or that medusa's story was modern and she knows the most ancient version we know of (ie: medusa & her sisters were always monsters). them talking about the same myth? doesnt really make sense, unless that was the only surviving medusa myth that just so happened to be the "truth". doesnt help the 'constantly shifting capital of power' thing

i dislike how echidna and the chimera were handled. again. what happened to being blind sided. what happened to shock and sudden appearances. i dont care if the chimera was learning to hunt. the realization that echidna was a monster with her forked tongue was great.

i was going to write "wheres the suicidal thoughts" (ie percy thinking the monster wont attack mortals if he dies/jumps out of the arch) then remembered that this isnt 1st person and theres no voice over (which wouldve made this show 1000% better)

okay. so. they dont show percy nailing the difficult sword technique, but they DO show him getting hits on the chimera. when in the books he doesnt get a single hit on the chimera. to quote my disc notes: percy gets precisely ZERO hits on the chimera. first slash at neck, deflected by a collar that name-drops Tartarus. second slash at the mouth just after the tail stabbed his leg, tail wrapped around leg and pulled him around dropping riptide down the hole. again, poison Immediate

right the poison not being immediate. im. why

WHY DIDNT PERCY GO THROUGH THE CHIMERA'S FIRE BLAST. IT WOULDVE SHOWN HIS RESISTANCE TO FIRE AS A SON OF POSEIDON THATS PLAYED WITH BIT MORE IN SEA & LABRYNTH

i do like the accurate change to the arch tho. showing that the water reached up and grabbed him was kinda the "duh" answer but if you read this scene plainly without much thought then yeah in the books the arch goes over the river so. it wasnt even that much of a discussion point bc pjo universe architecture was different i guess

anaklusmos is meant to fall out the arch during the fight, not further in, and percy's meant to have a good length of time standing on the arch without the sword returning to his pocket

have i mentioned that so far all these monster fights are disappointing and lackluster

oh btw the taxi scene after lotus? fucking hate how thats MORE dramatic than the actual MONSTER FIGHTS

the arch being a temple to athena or whatever? nice change, dont really like how it replaced more architecture talk tho. shouldve been an add-on in the middle of annabeths geeking out bout the math n structure that percy tries to focus on but annabeth shrugs it off and goes on about the perfect balance of the lean-to stuff (i dont know architecture)

her "so poseidon can't ruin it" about the earthquake protection plate things though? rude and not what show annabeth shouldve said since theres been no/little "poseidon vs athena" rivalry talk (besides annabeth praying to her mom and getting shunned & percy not praying and getting saved. that was a good parallel).

adding indigenous folk to grover's talk of genocide & erasure was good, just wish there was more on it & throughout more of the quest

them throwing in the "not all monsters are monsters" and "not all demigods are heroes" talk seemed kinda half-assed and like they didnt really know where to go with it. i like it bc itll be expanded on with like circe a bit & zoë & ethan nakamura / luke / the demigods on the titan's army & especially with tyson all throughout sea. but like. if i hadnt read the books then id think they added those points just bc they were expected to, especially since its not even brought up again in later episodes

how they showed that olympus is connected to the empire state building at the end of ep 3? dislike that. doubly dislike how hermes already knew what was in the box before anyone opened it

ANYONE LEARNING ABOUT THE BETRAYAL PART OF THE PROPHECY BTW??? DIDNT LIKE THAT. PREFERED WHEN PERCY WAS TRYING TO GO AROUND THE PROPHECY/NOT THINK ABOUT IT. also the betrayal hasnt been mentioned since except when they decided to blame clarisse, but that was as the lightning thief & not friend betrayal

okay so the bus scene & them turning a fury (alecto?) to stone. didnt like the changes. i feel like they changed it so percy's mortal kill count doesnt start so young (half joking) but it kinda gets rid of the whole "the gods dont take into account how their emotions/reactions affect mortals". plus the hurricane isnt sudden in montauk, it builds since percy uses the fountain

them shortening the yancy time btw? will agree it makes sense, dont agree that its better/even a neutral change. it gets rid of the gaslighting, the mist, the first instance of the winter solstice, this:

WHY WAS THERE FIRE ON THE STAIRS WHY DID THE BASEMENT LOOK LIKE THAT WHY WAS IT A BASEMENT & NOT LIKE A BIG GARAGE-TYPE THING (my dad explained that the fire could have been a reference to the 1981 clash of titans with the flickering suspense kind of scary but may i point out: that would be a reference to a 1981 thing in a modern kids show)

the cgi for the nereid was terrible btw. the sound for the sizzling in the percy & medusa convo was so fake. the straw empty noise grover does drinking his lemonade should not be possible with how much was actually left in his cup. that pastry grover ate should not have crunched.

ill state again: i like the show. the show's alright. im not sure id call it good because ive read the books & i do prefer book lightning thief to the show. but i like it and am hoping it gets more seasons. i hope we at least finish last olympian, but i would like to see hoo get adapted.

some of these are complaining for the sake of it (down to a grain of sand), some of these are actual criticisms about the adaptation (the removal of the foreshadowing that was in the books & abscense of groundworks for later books & hoo (yes i saw the kids with purple shirts in the lotus scene thats not enough)), some mightve been criticisms of it as a show (plenty of people have mentioned that the pacing is bad, i didnt want to focus on it). it's all in good fun

i do have a thought though: This could've easily been a rewritten book. In fact, it would've been far better as a rewritten, first-person limited book. I think it would've taken less time (able to just write your vision and not have barely any stage directions as your only descriptors & run it by writers, directors, actors, etc.), less money (12-15 MILLION usd per EPISODE??? compared to a writing program & looking for someone to publish it???), and would've taken less time (writing, waiting for approval, casting, booking, filming, post production, waiting, uploading, waiting for renewal, repeat. compared to writing at your own speed & publishing whenever (possibly even waiting until enough books are done?)). My reading fanfic more than traditional books/watching shows/movies definitely affects my opinion, I will readily admit that. But I think my own imagination of the happenings in the book would've been fine. Would there be new fans? Probably not as many. Would old fans come back? Again, probably not as many. Would it have been better? I think so.

TLDR: there were more neutral changes than good ones, a lot weren't good (comparatively), some were funny, some got rid of the funny, this is fun for me and if it wasn't for you then L. die madge. i want to hear other's opinions though. and i think this show should've been a rewritten first-person book and not a tv show.

Well since you’re okay with it, here she is!

Meet Runa! A travelling merchant from Natlan who is secretly searching for the truth about Khaenri'ah and a cure to help the cursed immortal Khaenri'ahns from their eternal torment. She has a hydro vision and use a polearm as her weapon. She has a bodyguard name Dongmei, another OC of mine who is helping Runa in her quest to learn what happened to Khaenri'ah.

Now her backstory:

Few days after a birth happened, a baby was abandoned somewhere very far from the nearest civilization. Whoever left her there definitely wanted her dead but fortunately that didnt happened as her cries alerted someone. A pure blooded Khaenri’ahn women heard her cries and found her. The women used to run an orphanage back in Khaenri’ah and was a mother figure to all the orphans there. But the cataclysm happened and the orphans she cared for either die from the cataclysm itself, turned into monsters, or became immortal like her but those children arent with her, they were seperated due to the cataclysm. For centuries, the women went into a depressive state due to her mind not fully accepting what just happened and the guilt for not being able to do anything to save the children (and adding that up with immortality and erosion? Yeah she is not okay) It wasnt until she heard the baby’s cries did she break out of that state. Once she realized the poor baby was abandoned, she decided to raised the baby as her own, just like she did for so many back in Khaenri’ah and gave her the name Runa.

Now the erosion really messed the women up but somehow even with her unstable mind, she was still able to raise Runa as best as she can with the circumstances the both are in. And for 7 years, Runa was a happy girl living in a shack in the middle of nowhere with her mother. Runa was taught the Khaenri’ahn language and culture by the women. The women taught her as if they were still back in orphanage and nothing was wrong. Those seven years were really peaceful for Runa, until it wasnt anymore. One day, they were out hunting for food. Her and her mother had done this many times before yet something happened. They had caught a boar in a trap they had placed yesterday, her mother was supposed to kill it but she didn’t. She was still, she was mumbling something. Runa tried to snap her out, but nothing was getting through her mother. The women’s behavior was normal, she’s done this many times before and Runa always snap her out of her trance but why wasnt this working now? Suddenly, the women attacked her with an axe. As if she was the boar they were supposed to kill. Runa did her best to dodge but eventually she got hit and blacked out. By the time she woke up, her mother was beside her sobbing and apologizing. Her head was bandaged and uh Runa couldnt recall what had actually happened. (So what truly happened is that Runa didnt actually got hit at all. She tripped over a rock when trying to dodge and hit her head on a tree. By the time she blacked out, her mother came to her senses and quickly brought Runa back to their shack and instantly bandaged her up)

Ever since that day, the women became distant with Runa, fearing that she might hurt her daugther again. Runa was confused and hurt by this action because she actually doesnt remember what had happened that day due to her subconsciously blocking the trauma of her mother attacking her and also because of the wound on her head. The women also started to teaching Runa how to do a lot of stuff that they usually do together to be done by herself. She didnt think anything of it at first, she was just happy her mother was interacting with her. But then, after she finally was able to do everything by herself, the next day comes and she woke up to an empty shack with no sight of her mother and a note on the table. At first, Runa thought her mother just went hunting but when she read the note, her whole world went crashing down. In the note, her mother explained that she is leaving her due to the fear of hurting her again because of her very bad mental state which was caused by a curse and hopes that Runa will continue to live on by herself happily.

This destroyed Runa. She couldnt believe what she was reading. How can she live happily if her mother wasnt in it? She was in denial and dazed. She just couldnt believe her mother left and just decide to wait for her. Just simply thinking that note was just a prank and she will come back for her eventually but then one day turn to a week and a week turn into a two weeks. For two weeks, she had been living by herself. Eating, sleeping, hunting, all by herself. One day, when she was out hunting, she caught a boar in a trap she made. She was about to kill it but the boar’s whining attracted hilichurls to their location. Knowing that there is now way she can defeat those hilichurls, she tried running away but the hilichurls catched up to her and surrounded her. She was about to be attacked when a group of traveling merchants came and saved her. When the hilichurls were defeated, one of the traveling merchant asked why was she alone. She was wary of them due to her mother sheltering her whole life but she was also curious because this was the first time she met anyone besides her mother. Runa explained her situation and the traveling merchants realized that she was abandoned and decided to bring her with them. Ofc she didnt want to but she was eventually forced against her will to join them.

After some discussion on what to do with Runa, one of the traveling merchant decided to adopt her. She wasnt happy with this and tried to run away multiple times. It took a long time but slowly yet surely, she got used to her new life. Despite that, she never forgot her life before and kept wishing for her mother to come back. It wasnt until she was older that she realized something. Her mother wasnt normal per say. Her new adoptive parent was different. They didnt have a mental breakdown every other day, they didnt have nightmares that they need to hug her and never let go, they didnt do any of that. And when she told what her mother was like, her new adoptive parent tried to gently tell her that her mother wasnt feeling well with her head, that she was sick. She was confused by what they mean but when she got older did she realized it. They were talking about her curse, the one that her mother mentioned to be the cause of her “illness”. In the note her mother left her a long time ago, her mother explained that she got her curse during the demise of Khaenri’ah and in those 7 years of living with her, her mother taught her everything about Khaenri’ah. The language, the culture, the history, everything except it’s demise, she would learn that when she was much older. And when she did, she learned that there was very little information about Khaenri’ah. And so, a goal was born. Runa planned that when she was a traveling merchant herself, she would travel the world to learn what really happened to Khaenri’ah and find a way to break her mother’s curse.

Acheron

(and the legendarium ig)

Acheron has light tan skin, glowing yellow eyes, a crooked pointy nose, and a black goatee. He has black marks (which might be Kohl) around his eyes with triangular black marks on its edges.

Acheron was a sorcerer researcher long ago, who was endlessly curious about myths and stories of all the planets of the magical universe. He found an entrance to the imaginary dimension and became obsessed. He created the legendarium as a magical link between the imaginary world and the real world, and he travels between planets to connect the stories in the book to the places they match with the best. This brought forth a turbulent time in history, where mythic creatures ravaged the magix dimension. Acheron didnt realise the damage he had done, only wanting to bring the mythical creatures into the magix dimension to share them with everyone. 

Because of that, the 7 ancestral fairies (long said to be the first company of light) go into the mythic dimension to learn about it and they gain mythix after putting all their magic energy into random objects they found (becoming the mythix wands) afterwards they trapped acheron back in his own book (this was after he realised he could basically ransom the entire magic dimension). before slowly trapping all the creatures back in the dimension they came from. And because they were worried that he would escape, they used their entire life force to trap him specifically in the pages of the legendarium (not even the mythic dimension, they basically trap him in a piece of paper), leaving their wands behind for future generations in case (its basically a failsafe for the legendarium in case it is misused ever again)

This final fight happened on earth in egypt and thus, thousands of years later The Legendarium was kept in the lost Library of Alexandria, until it was discovered by the Fairy Godmother Eldora and her protege Selina. 

Acheron was able to convince Selina to help free him by promising her power and revenge on bloom, transforming Selina into the "Witch of Snakes". One night, Selina stole the Legendarium from Eldora and fled with it, beginning her quest to release Acheron from its pages. And becoming the keeper of the legendary dimension. The keeper of the Legendarium can summon any number of wild creatures from the book just by reading it out loud.

It was owned by Selina, which she usually shrinks and hangs it on the belt around her skirt. The book was used to help the Trix during Selina's time with them. 

By the end of Season 6, Bloom traps the Trix inside the mythic dimension. Selina then locks the Legendarium and returns it back to Eldora.

Lucy is part shapeshifter, her father being an animal-shifter who could change into goats, deer and other similar creatures. while shes unable to shapeshift herself, she does have goat ears and horns, and a deer's tail (this also means she has a lotta bodyhair, including chest hair and sometimes facial hair). also this kind of shapeshifter hybrid (one that has a shapeshifter parent but doesnt have the ability to shift themselves) in Drakenterra is called a caminist :3

Angelica's parents, Johann and Hecate Emperor, have about 14 (?) kids in total, 7 biological and 6 adopted. Angelica is the oldest.

Huen has no surname. When she became a senator and was asked for her full name, she kept saying "just Huen :)" and staring menacingly at them, until they lost their nerve and decided she would be, in fact, just Senator Huen (no last name given).

Angelica Emperor's full name is Angelica Ordolia Celeste Eudora Barbara Emperor, as her parents had so many names they liked and couldn't just pick one (they later stuggled to come up with names for their other 6 biological children, Angelica's youngest sister being named Angelica II).

Ellie often makes references to Nullterra's popculture, which confuse the characters from Drakenterra (and a few other dimenstions) immensily. ("And who is this.... General Kenobi???" "Who tf is Bob Ross??" "What the fuck is a thor?" "No, I dont wanna have a bad time??" "I guess I am filled with determination?" "who is rick and why does he roll?" etc.)

Ellie was a fandom kid and probably wears FNAF and Undertale merch around the others (causing further confusion).

Sephoras has a thing for dumb brand names and slogans. He will point them out and complain about how nonesensical they are frequently.

Cyan's music taste changes all the time, one time they'll be making trap remixes of any song they get their hands on, next they're blasting classical music during a car ride, then they're listening to old rock bands the next time you see them. no one knows how many instruments they can play

Lucy can play ukulele and guitar

James collects flowers and Lucy always takes them and puts them into a herbarium. They often try to make teas out of stuff they find too, or use them as herbs. they also make flowercrowns together

(oasis) What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

Approximately 10 minutes. This assumes "nothing" does not include keeping a watch out, navigation, watching to make sure casarin is paying attention, making snide comments and flipping off other pilots while on the ship. If he's being responsible she likes to go harass alex in the back. On land she's always wandering off on her own away from casarin either picking up essentials he's forgotten again or non essentials lol. She can also be found playing "lets throw bricks at susarikas" (he loves it) to pass the time.

If there's NOTHING to do, she's trapped just waiting, she'll usually pull something she uh found in the street (finders keepers) and carve into it with her knife. No this is mine, see its got my name on it and a little pony too, oh and on this side its got a snake eating a watermelon.

(latikam) What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?

The thing with living for centuries is that at a certain point, everything and nothing causes nostalgic, its the experience of every vazuvyr. BUT latikam has lived through the occupation AND does not live in his homeland anymore, in a way he is a child who remembers past lives but cannot apply any of it to this one. The biggest trigger is that mokubat learned how to cook from vokutlvek, and while they have their different styles every now and then something lines up, he can taste his brothers work in his sons. Its... a lot. Thats the taste he's known through centuries of heartache and love and pain and joy and healing, yet for once he's not here for it. The person who's always been there to run to, lay his head on, and protected him isn't there this time. Somehow disorientating and grounding at the same time.

Seeing casarin and hydrel also remind him A LOT of vokutlvek and azrem. Their stupid little dramas, playing footsies at the table, shoving food into his mouth. Latikam said "I know what you are".

(casarin) What lie do they most frequently remember telling? Does it haunt them?

God why did you have pick THIS one for him how did you hone in on this choice. My man keeps repeatedly telling a very specific lie about how okay he is. "haunted" probably isnt the word Id pick exactly. During sf its less of the burden of knowing he lied and more of the fear of someone finding out the truth. And in act 2 when someone confronts him about it he doubles down on "everything is fine" until he's dragged kicking and screaming to the warm saucer of milk. At the end of his life he looks at those years and realizes how stupid he was for putting himself through it and not asking for help, especially now recognizing fjinmars and adaen saw the problem and wanted to help him but he never gave them the chance, but at this point he's too preoccupied by the good run they had and how thats going to be gone.

A specific instance he told this lie to his mother, who he never lies to because she is telepathic, clocked him immediately and he broke down about the whole thing. The thing that hurts him is that he doesnt know why he lied, mama never made him feel bad about this before, he just... felt guilty and embarrassed about all this. idk.

(hydrel) What embarrasses them?

The austisms. He's had people "just tease" him for his expressions and taking things literally and when he's last to the joke. Doesnt like to ask what people mean by things because that usually makes it worse. It's not obvious in the main script but its worth noticing how much differently he acts with his family vs with casarin. Weird. Sure its nothing. Also bringing up past incidents is the fastest way to get 🧑‍🤝‍🧑-- points with him, VERY embarrassed when he realized after the fact he overreacted or was rude when he didnt mean to be. Just let him learn and move on.

Yes she acts like a princess and roleplays all the time as THE PRINZESSIN DER VERURTEILUNG, SOVEREIGN OF THE IMMERNACHTREICHT but also she's a lonely ass girl who wants to continue playing around in her fantasy and the thing that had given her so much comfort when she's alone. The nice thing is that she winds up finding people that love and accept her and it's really sweet to see!! There was a summer event last year I think??? where they jump into her lore and actually show it on screen and it felt like a big big big hug watching the story and seeing her get hrm acceptance? or you know seeing it be discussed on screen and seeing how people love and accept her as she is, something she's long wanted.... and even bigger hug when I see people's reactions to her because I've been standing here for two years gesturing at Fischl like APPRECIATE HER!!!!!! APPRECIATE DIE PRINZESSIN!!!!!! but of course because she didnt get a lot of screentime, she's kinda sidelined. that or people called her annoying (she can be, that is true, but still-)

Also she has a lightning birdie named Oz LOL Not the reason why I love her so much (I actually HC her to have maladaptive daydreaming lmao it be the self projection o7)

7. A female character the narrative wound up being much better to than you’d thought it would be?

I mean I go back and forth on this buuuut Ei?

Tbh, I never had much of an impression on Ei as a character within Genshin (and I was also too busy being sad about Signora's death so hahahhhahahahahahhahhahaha)

BUT ANYWAYS the way that her first story quest made me so 😐. Like it IS nice to get to know her a bit, but narratively speaking, after what she put the entirety of Inazuma through with the Vision Hunt Decree and the whole isolation/trapping everyone on Inazuma, it was weird to just see her enjoying herself, walking around casually in the city like nothing happened. Towards the end she does discuss making an apology or something like that, but it just didn't really feel....satisfactory. I think she says something about how she has to contemplate about what she ought to do from here

But it really isn't until the second story quest that I actually started liking her character. I often think that they should have switched the first and second story quest, but being able to delve into why Ei did what she did was such a good good good story quest, and I really like it, especially someone who enjoys grief stories. A bit too much LMAO You wind up learning that she was just trying to protect Inazuma from the likes of Celestia who had killed the former Archon, her twin, for fighting alongside the rising human civilization Khaenri'ah, so Ei tried to get rid of the Visions so humans may never achieve what Khaenri'ah was able to and to turn Celestia away. It's really neat to see and learn about and the story altogether was so well done haha I just kinda wish I had that sooner, and Ei contemplating about the meaning of 'eternity' and then seeing her people continue to live and how much Inazuma has changed (because the real "eternity" -- the true permanence -- is the idea that everything will change. That is an eternal principle of living-). I feel like that would have been a nice followup instead of starting with Ei wandering around town as the first quest...

However! I say this without much attachment towards Ei, so maybe someone who is far more focused on Ei may say otherwise (I have a tendency to just ignore if I don't care much for a character lol) Just that the second story quest really changed my feelings on her narrative hahaha

12. An interesting female friendship?

I LOVE ELISE AND EFFIE SM.....

...okay maybe it's because I'm particularly weak to knight/liege dynamics idc but I really like Elise and her retainers a lot, but Elise and Effie stick out for me a lot because Elise finds Effie while she had snuck out from the Nohrian castle to help out those in need and runs into Effie. The two become friends and Effie decides to become her knight, devoting every second to working as a knight for Elise.

Elise is just generally a light for everyone (she is the Light of Nohr after all.), but it's nice to see how she touches people's hearts for being as sweet as she is, especially through Effie. I'm pretty sure it was like one of the first supports for Elise I got an A support on and that made me more fond of Elise (I originally was like....pretty meh on her character. I thought she was cute! But in a "generic younger sister" character type. but otherwise I kinda ignored her a lot aside from her being an incredible healer and later a greater mage)

14. An interesting familial relationship with female characters? (Mother and daughter, sisters, etc.)

hey what if i plug in one of my fave horror movies LMAO

I don't think Umma did particularly well, but reviews tend to be pretty bad for horror movies anyhow BUT

The whole movie is centered around the mom and daughter's relationship and the mom's fear of carrying on the abuse that she faced from her mom to her daughter (hooray generational trauma!).

The mom runs away from her family in Korea to live a new life in the US, and tries really hard to assimilate to US with her daughter. She does a lot of things to try and make her daughter happy and to protect her in hopes to never be as abusive as her own mom, but that winds up backfiring because in hopes of making her daughter happy (clinging onto her daughter's dream of making a bee farm and living on an isolated farm in the countryside), her daughter winds up feeling isolated and hopes to move away for school to live a life beyond the farm. On top of that, you have news that the grandma actually passed away with her mom inheriting all the grandma's haunted possessions.

So you do actually get to see a scene where she literally becomes her mom for some scenes, but with time, she eventually finds a way out of it.

I'm not really doing this movie justice and I've only really watched it once but I've been dying to get back to it again to better dissect it BUT I've always been particularly fond of generational trauma movies so it was a very cool movie to see! Esp next to things like "Everything Everywhere All At Once" haha

Also I remember being super fond of the direction of the script. Like the mom using an American name for both her and her daughter and only speaking in English because speaking in her native tongue only brings bad memories vs making peace with the ghost of her mom and being able to embrace the culture again fully and even introducing her daughter more to Korean culture.

2) yes i was thinking about that! like while i was doing my 11/river posts the other day i was like 'would all this have happened if it hadnt happened' you know what i mean? like from either of their sides it always had already happened because the other already knew. i guess their timelines and how they cross are sort of fluid enough that there are moments where they things arent entirely set in stone like that. like the doctor learns not for certain but for somewhat-certain or at least thats how he'd interpret it, that they get married right from the library right? "you know my name" (also the doctor mustve told her that at some point during darilium or smth right? most likely?)

4) yes! i havent listened to a Lot of rivers diaries, maybe half or so? how many are there? eleven? okay definitely not half. ive listened to Some fkjhjh but theres one where she meets a bunch of other people with water names who can regenerate? and i dont actualy remember how that story goes but what i do remember from it is idk this thing river says about wanting somewhere to belong. i think it might also be in this audio she talks about the doctor as this ghost that just drops into her life whenever he pleases, but that might also be another audio idk i need to relisten.

theres also a moment in the tenth doctor and river boxset, i think the story expiry dating? where theyre writing letters back and forth and theres a moment where river sort of talks to herself like "one of those wide-eyed orphans he saves" smth like that. im always like oof that self-image

but like who could she attach to right? she doesnt really have a normal family bc that got all messed up by the silence. she knows she marries the doctor or knows she will be attached to him in some way. and hes also a link to amy and rory right? so like, where do you go? in that position. yes you could idk settle somewhere i guess and make friends but you'd always be sorta unmoored, youre always waiting for the doctor, for your destiny basically. like if you make another life the chances are pretty high that as soon as the doctor shows up theyre gonna mess it all up. you know where you end up but you never know when hes gonna show up! youre just waiting

and also yeah like exactly what youre saying at 5 and 7 like. the whole situation in lets kill hitler, like, what else is she gonna do?? where else is she gonna go?? these are the only three people who are any kind of family

6) whats that line from?

anyway but yeah tldr rivers life is a tragedy!! and i think the doctor gave her a happy ending, sort of the life shes been waiting for her entire adult life probably, with darilium, but then again, the doctor did that in part bc of what they already knew about the library so!!! would any of it have happened if it hadnt happened!!!

but also just to come back to #2/the feeling trapped part too. idk. maybe they do feel that at times. i'd imagine especially river bc for the doctor it seems to me for a long time shes just kind of a puzzle he thinks about occasionally. and when they do marry it's the doctor who decides that and it's not like out of romantic motives necessarily. he has all the agency there so i can imagine he feels less trapped

but also i do think they really grow to care for each other, so that might lessen the trapped feeling a little. like yes okay time mightve twisted in such a way theyre tied together, but hey this is not a bad person to be tied up with theyre kinda having fun? most of the time?

also, kinda unrelated, but do you think they travelled for their 24-year one night date or did they like, make house and settle? bc im thinking like, though they might get a little restless and probably get up to stuff, daytrips, i can imagine they might both want to settle a little bit? plus also i can imagine there might be some rules, or imagined rules, about darilium. like maybe the doctor made up the rules, imagined rules that Time might have about that night/24-years and how it should go, but like it kinda feels like just, going away from that planet would break the rules? you know what i mean? they might be a little trapped there too. for 24 years.

First off- I really do need to relisten to The Furies but the TARDIS wiki is going to have to do for now. This is going to be in list format because I am a scatter brained idiot. Also River’s timeline is so vague and being vague about timeline stuff is BF bread and butter so I feel like almost everyone is going to have a different view of River and that makes things difficult. She lies-the narrative lies its very distilled doctor who. 

(I am so sorry if this doesn't make any sense I tried)

1a.) I don’t think that she was always thinking that he didn’t love her back. I think that was a late marriage hiccup. Angels take Manhattan and eleven burning through the rest of his days with her I think caused some marital issues but it comes up against the fact that Moffat could only vaguely hint at these adult issues and not really explore them in the show itself. 

1b.) (as a sidebar I think that seeing eleven ask her mom to stay and then him being so hideously miserable should have caused issues but that goes into squicky territory for alot of people esp since she (presumably) had interactions with post angels-eleven before she herself did angels)

2.) This is never directly addressed in canon (so far) but it is on the periphery but given how they are non-linier I don’t understand how neither River nor the Doctor feel like they are trapped into their marriage to each other because it’s already written out (somewhat done with eleven but meh)

3.) TDoRS River both wants the Doctor around and desperately hates when he is actually involved in her escapades. Him being involved usually causes her to go more directly nuclear. She’s very protective of him in ways I don’t really think that he would appreciate.  

4.) All of this memory wiping of her meeting the Doctor’s past selves and how judicious she is with the amnesia is so sad? Like how alone must she feel. She doesn’t really put down roots.

5.) River is told that she only loves the Doctor because he was nice to her and given how she was abused in her upbringing she got mega attached to him because of that. 

6.) Unfortunately “Love is for children- I owe him a debt” is resonant

7.) The vague sense of melancholy only gets worse if you consider her relationship with the Pond’s too. 

Anyway the worst part is that there's all these delicious ways one could look at River/Doctor but at most it just gets vagued at because you can’t do emotional stuff like this in EU content. And because Big Finish doesn’t have Matt Smith or Karen Gillian (and didn’t use Arthur Darvill in TDorS when they had him).

theyre all active in social media but only oikawa is on it 24/7 and in all platforms while the others have insta and snap

mattsun has twins as little siblings and he used to get them mixed up all the time that he used to draw a sharpie dot on the girl's forehead to determine she was his sister

watari hates sitting on the floor bc his butt bone hurts really easily so he can only sit on cushions for long periods of time

the team was supposed to have a party but everyone didnt know what to bring so they proved they shared the same braincell by bringing the same thing: a box of pizza

makki's an old soul and prefers to play records on a record player or watch old movies

kyo is surprisingly good at giving massages because he really pushed hard on those tense muscles

makki’s unemployed yea but he rooms with mattsun in exchange of cooking because makki’s surprisingly good at cooking

iwa is practically the nutritionist of the team because he knows everything about proteins, carbs, iron, and needed vitamins so they all go to him to know what to eat and what they need

Hero of Legacy General Plot/History/Link Overview

Me and @flowercape worked pretty hard on this story and I really want to go through everything we’ve made. However that would be physically impossible so this is just a summary! I should also note that there is some Art work from @flowercape ! I love their art! Please give them some love!

(Also should note. Legacy is a LoZ Link OC and not a LU one though I have thought about their interactions its not canon.)

Ok! So let me bring up the timeline we are going to be following. It’s not that custom nor does the Timeline actually show the amount of time that has passed.

Alright so we got 500 years between BOTW and Legacy so here are the spark notes that I’ve been sending people:

- Zelda and Link rebuild Hyrule. Zelda made the old Castle rebuilt into an Academy. While another smaller castle was built next to it, this created a lot of jobs for the people and they slowly came back to rebuild the kingdom in general. Wild on the other hand founded and created an Adventuring Guild and started rebuilding the Army. (But his focus was more on the guild.)

- Zelda feeling like Link’s silence was her fault developed the Hylian Sign Language and made it the Kingdoms second language.

- The Kingdom had a Science and History boom after a lot of things where brought back up from the calamity. The only good things to come out of it was that these artifacts where brought back to the surface.

- History is important in the kingdom because Ganon kept coming back over and over again. So the stories of the different links were brought back in full force to remind people of the tragedy’s. However like what happen with our history, mythology and history meld so its hard to see what is right and what was just made up. (Ie. King Arthur. He might of been real but the story isnt.)

- 500 years later the Royal family is a figure head and people don’t really believe in the goddess thing anymore. So this Zelda is a lot more free and happy to do what she please. She follows Wild’s Zelda and becomes a Doctor of Science.

- Link and Zelda meet when there were 5. Zelda had a friend named Claus who was 7. In a small museum in the Academy’s Library. Zelda and Link had a share interest in history of Hyrule’s heroes. Well… Zelda had an obsession with the Champions, the Era of the Wild and Sheikah Tech because she really adores the Queen of the Wild. While Link had an overall love because of his Father and Mother being both historians.

- In Botw its was implied that the Gerudo's blood line was being mix with Hylian. For example, They now have pointed ears and not the rounded in OoT. So thats why Link is a male despite his mom being Gerudo. There isnt many males in the world but its slowly becoming normal. (It was the reason we gave on why link was a male, because its the one that made sense to us historical wise)

- The Gerudo Town we know in Botw, is still a female only town but there is a town with the males and husbands.

- The Academy is spilt into different tracks named after the Dragons and Hylia herself. Each class has only homeroom professor for their entire class year. (If that makes sense. They do this in Japan I believe. While the House concept is taken from England but edited to fit this.)

- Farosh: The track Link was apart of and later in life he is a home room and history professor. The course was made for those who want to explore and learn about the world through Adventure. Most if not all their Alumi go into the Adventures Guild.

- Naydra: The track that Zelda when into and sometimes teaches in as a guest! The course was made for those who mostly focus on science and technology. Most of the Alumi go into Hyrule’s Royal Laboratory or they head to the New Kakariko part in Hateno City.

- Dinraal: The track that Claus was apart of. This is the Knight coarse’s! Standard military coarse’s and such. Most of the Alumi go into the Army ether as soldiers or tacticians.

- Hylia: The track for the more spiritual and magic based people. All three coarse’s have to take some of there coarse but its not required. This is the hardest coarse to get into. Zelda got in but turn them down for science.

- All races are welcome at the Academy and because of the Queen of the Wild the tuition is free! The Academy promotes learning and curious minds.

Here he is! Our Son!

Summary on his Childhood then I’ll put some Bullet Points at the end: :)

Link’s deal is that, no one knows that he is the hero. There was a prophecy that claimed that there will be another tragedy. However someone started a rumor the the hero was Link's and Zelda's childhood friend Claus. So while his friends are full force doing training (light training in Zelda’s case because she was not having it.) Link was pushed to the side almost the trio was still super close! But there was something going on that they didnt know about.

(Now this part is weird, its one of the things I had control over but I still don’t know the exact idea on what happened. I have an oneshot I could post but it has old information on it that I need to remove.)

The Trio was 10 when the prophecy hit. At the same time Link had a Dream, though in his eyes it was a nightmare. As a child he had to find the Sky view temple and go through it. No monster, no traps, no puzzles. I should mention here that this Link while really curious and likes to discover things, is easily scared and has really bad social anxiety even as a child. So during this dream he was terrified, but he was force to go through it. Finally, when he reached the Spring of Courage. There is a man waiting for him. Link fully terrified at this point. Could not hear a word this man was saying. We the reader know its the First hero (The one from the Skyward Manga). After forcing himself awake from fear, Link would slowly start to see things. Spirits of different men in the corner of his eyes or he will go into, unknown to him ,dissociative states. In these states he would interact with these spirits. We named it Farore’s Blessing because in Spirit tracks that Link could see the ghost of Zelda, then the idea of this being a thing that all links have because they see the unseeable normally came up. Legacy and Spirit just have a more powerful version of it.

Legacy, because of his anxiety getting worse from seeing the spirits, the dream, dissociative states where he sometimes sees memories that isn’t his, and then lastly… finding his fathers body after confining in him about seeing things. He blamed himself. He blamed they people who he saw. He blamed the man in his dream. What he didn’t know was that someone else was pushing him to become a hero quicker then having him grow into it naturally.

- Link’s journey is based on the saying: “Learn from the past to make a better future.”

- So he needs to travel back in time to support and learn from each hero.

- Has a lot of regrets not telling Claus about being a Hero.

danny phantom episode 4-7 Thoughts: (under a readmore because, these got kinda long!)

-the outfit danny had to buy for dash's party. CLASSIC 2000S i cannot stop laughing. And also showing up to the party and everyone is dressed like the trio is hilarious. and further proof that everyone looks good dressed goth.

-dash has a closet full of cute lil bear plushies?? LOVE that. adorable. also his response to danny trashing his room fighting a ghost was SO valid if somone BROKE MY BED IN HALF ID BE PISSED TOO.

-technus being like 'oh smart, u should be a tutor!' then later being like 'forget tutor, be a teacher!' :) supportive king <3 I also really like his upgraded suit/design. AND SPOCK CAMEO??? HELLO??

-the music in this show is super. its so funky. I looked it up and the guy who does it, guy moon (awesome name) also did music for other cartoons like fairly odd parents, barnyard, chalkzone, billy & mandy, AND some actual movies like FIGHT CLUB??? the whiplash I got from reading that)

-sam being rich explains a lot about her, actually.

-I know the moral of the episode was supposed to be 'dont ditch your friends for popular people/spend a lot of money on clothes that arent You to Fit In'. but tbh. it wouldve been easy for danny to have been like 'well, okay, ill come but only if my friends can!' but I get. that hes 14. so. not a lot to say there.

-sorta unrelated, but it just occurred to me in one of these eps they go to casper HIGH not casper middle school??? theyre 14?? dont highschools usually do ages 15-18? (I didnt go to hs so I might be wrong, if I am ignore this...) freshmen are usually 14-15, could just be a case of them not turning 15 yet but they will sometime in the school year (I say they because tucker said he was 14 too)? I know the show has 3 seasons, so by the end of it will they be older? thatd be neat but usually cartoon characters stay the same age...I love shows where you can see the characters age and grow up, though...three seasons seems like a long time to spend on like, 1 year...

anti LO anon opinions:

1) I pointed out the same opinion about thanatos on why he should care and a fan responded that he shouldnt have a say on hades and persephones relationship because he was making out with minthe while they were still dating...

2) I’m just so annoyed LO Persephone’s visual maturity is all in terms of hades. It’s via how he wants her to dress, how he wants her to act, via what he wants her to enjoy and do. He’s never once gone out of his comfort zone for her or branched out to see what she wants and enjoys or even really ask, meanwhile she does everything he wants at the drop of a hat. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. This isn’t a couple of balance and compromise, its not even one of real respect, it’s just the woman making herself whatever she wants her future husband to be while he does nothing but throw money at her as “affection”. It’s essentially her having to do whatever Demeter wants, which was framed as bad, but this time it’s whatever Hades wants, so now it’s good? She still isn’t really given the choice, now is she?

3) i really have to question why LO keeps framing "dark" persephone as the queen and wife of hades because that side is framed as basically a different character who has popped out before and very purposely has said it doesnt like hades and sees him as weak and not worth their time. it also has it that persephone doesnt like or even control this side of her so its like??? is the endgame the real persephone being trapped inside herself by this evil persona and hades is married to someone who doesnt love him/outright hates him? this wouldnt be an issue if they just let Persephone be a complex character who had light and darkness in her instead of insisting at every turn she stay a “precious cinnamon roll” at all times that you need to create an out there alt-personality to explain everything away 🤔

4) LO has the regressive idea that women are all innocent victims unless stated otherwise (such as having a sex life outside Hades (Minthe, Aphrodite) or not falling at his feet (Hestia, Demeter)). The thing is, women, no matter how "precious" they are, are capable of being bad people. It'd make sense Persephone the "dread queen" would actually be cruel and not nice and even the scarier of the two of them, but the comic wont commit to it, so everyone else has to be wrong instead

5) I would be more willing to hate LO Thanatos if it weren’t for the fact Persephone is a mega rich heiress who has everyone coming to her defense for merely existing including his mega rich CEO boss meanwhile the comic seems to imply Nyx (and by extension her family like Thanatos) lost their status and power once the Big Three like Hades came to power, reducing them to subordinates and powerless to his wants and desires. It’d like an Amazon warehouse worker calling out how unfair their working conditions are only to be told “yeah well Bezos got divorced last year and he’s really sad about it, feel bad for him instead and forget your problems.”    Why should I feel bad for a bunch of rich jerks who won’t face an real consequences and demean the ones who can’t stand up to them?

6) Regarding the recent LO chapter with Thanatos and Daphne talking about Persephone and Hades's relationship. I can kinda understand from both the perspectives: 1) Thanatos is a long-term employee for Hades so he has a better viewpoint of seeing the special treatment between Hades and Persephone up close. His feelings are partially influenced by his negative peers (Thetis and Minthe) who outright dislikes Persephone. But in his perspective: He is a longtime employee at a company who worked their way to a high position, and then one day your employer starts to hire someone younger and gives said younger colleague special treatment and attention (along with a big paycheck that most interns shouldn't be paid for). Part of the reason can also be that the said younger colleague is both their family background (being the child of one of the Six Traitors) and being very youthful and attractive2) Daphne only sees the relationship from an outsiders perspective and is partially defensive for her longtime friend. She is aware of Hades and Persephone's unusual relationship but also means well at knowing not to pry into others personal lives. 

7) I think that in lo to protect "our precious cinammon roll" Daphne could said that maybe that is Hades fault not hers bc he give her special treatment and his bad boss. This would at least show that there is unfairness at his job, that he is rightfuly angry just maybe at wrong person. It would be at least better than "dont care about this lol"

8) Persephone in lo only work 1 actual day of work. Her first day is only a tour, on her second day she work, on third day she isnt working bc she learn how to use computer and now she sometimes try to do something with work while flirting with hades, so maybe she worked 1,5 day of work in total. It isnt surprise thst she didnt work a lot since its been 13 days in comic

I feel like Ive aged at least 6 years since covid started. Im angrier. Less adapted to being outside then I used to be- which is saying a lot. This time last year I was?? Actually healthier mentally then I had ever been and looking forward to having the house alone for a month which?? Was the most freedom I wouldve ever had.

A lots fucking changed. I drove halfway across the country- all 30 hours at once with my big brother AND two elderly dogs, plus my cat. All animals on too many drugs (the vet said they couldnt overdose, and then failed to give any further instruction) cami peed on herself twice, unable to move. I had to waterboard her in Phoenix, a truly terrifying hell city where all the roads are raised and overlapping and its a hot as shit cause its?? What june?? Time was so fake this year I mustve just been stoned the whole time till I ran out of weed, and since moving its been a relief to be able to turn off the spinning anxious thoughts for a few hours

my big brother joined us. He brought a new dog with him which?? Is always a lot, plus I have this pack of dogs now cause the puppy wouldnt leave the super cancer ridden dog alone, and Im able to get her cbd regularly here, so shes always comfortable now instead of just?? Sometimes which is a lot nicer. We didnt think shed make it to chrisrmas. I thought shed die with me home alone to take care of everything, like always. It was almost a relief, I wouldn't have to coach my brother through the grieving process at least, and I had already finished. Its hard now even, for me to realize she might even have another christmas (but I wont hold my breath)

I feel safer going outside here then I did in Austin. I only went out a handful of times in texas, for the last few months I was ordering almost all groceries, and only going to the store once mask mandates were mandatory (theyre not anymore. Im so worried for texas. I missed a huge freeze by mere months. I dont think my elderly dogs wouldnt survived it. If I was alone with them, Im not sure I woudlve.

My parents took my brother to mexico with them. I begged them not to go, told them how irresponsible it was to travel across boarders. To visit an island and take all the plane germs with. I told them that even if my mom and brother were staying at home all day with me, my dad was still going to work and he didnt know what his coworkers were doing. That they wouldn't know what the people on the plane were doing. That at any point they could become the stupid americans that killed half an islands population.

They left a week after today last year. The boarders were closed the next day. Their friend has been traveling back and forth ever since. I have no idea how, except for the fact shes white and rich and wont hesitate to destroy a child, so I can only imagine how shed treat costomer service.

I will no longer allow this angry aggressive woman to ever make me feel bad, and I will allow myself to finally fight back. Im an adult, maybe not all the time (cause lets be real I'll always be a bit too eccentric for most) but when I get angry and allow myself that anger, it's not a bad thing. Anger doesn't have to make me feel like Ive done something wrong. Im usually very just in my actions, and I wont allow my parents influence to tell me all anger is misdirected and hurtful for reasons I couldnt understand. Its okay for me to be angry.

I think being alone with animals for months is at least reassuring that my childhood was unreasonable if nothing else. Which of course is a silly polite society term for pretty fucked, if nothing else.

My aunt had to gall to say weve had a good 2020 cause our family wasnt hurt, and I had to walk away from the zoom call. I haven't attempted communication with any of them since, not that I normally do. Of course none of us died, all rich old white people, most of them retired and able to stay home all day (not that all of them did, I learned about my grandfathers routine and just.. Im honestly surprised no one got it yet. Of course I knew from the beginning if anyone was gonna get it and die, it probably wouldve been me. Hence the 8 months of solitude before the move.

Was the move in August?? Im so unsure about time. Even with 2020 vision.

I tried to date when I moved here. Strictly on tinder. What was the point? On and off testosterone due to the wonders of texas, hadnt changed my body nearly as much as they should've a year after being on them. I look much more handsome now. Im also allowing myself to toss gender aside completely. He/him doesn't mean man, and they/them dont mean nonbinary, so why not mix them since Im?? Not really either.

It wasnt even a thought process like that to start. Much more "this is nice" which I think more gender should be allowed to be. Dont gotta be deep just comfortable.

I wont ever allow my parents to forget what they did. I ended up with three dogs I didnt want (I was so looking forward to not having any dogs) and I ended up taking care of my brother. Again. Its easier without my parents at least. Everything always is. My dogs are even happier. Cami finally isnt anxious 24/7. Again, a sad reminder my childhood wasn't great. Daisy is healthier. Trauma can be stored emotionally or with health issues, often both. I think the cancer dog getting better and?? Surviving and thriving so much longer then the vet said (how good was my old vet?) Is another unfortunate nail in thay proverbial coffin.

Im not as soft and openly loving. Im even more touch starved somehow. Harsher. I still want to choose love and compassion, but Im not letting myself fall into the trap of being so nice people wont be nice to you. Fighting back is something I wont feel shameful about, because it never stopped me from doing it completely anyway.

I was already reaching this on my own though. This was just more coffins, more nails. This didnt need to happen. We know our government let this happen. Its still letting it happen. Im not sure when Im getting my vaccine. My big brothers sick of quarentine and keeps trying to get us to go out. Sometimes I yield, and we go to a park, or the top floor of the parking garage. I get a vegan hotdog from nearby. We talk and laugh and were genuinely just. Boys being boys.

I shouldn't have to deal with parent shit anymore. I do though, especially since two out of three are unemployed and we can really only afford to live here cause of them (they owe me if anything though. Especially with my brother and these animals) I hope I can get a job soon. Or maybe even go back to school. Im lucky I had so much saved up (for top surgery, which I guess wont happen before Im 25 like I really tried for. I wouldve done it before now, but texas waitlists and rules kept holding me up. I literally went to an appointment in dallas, a 4 hour drive, just to found out the surgeon canceled on me for the second time)

Its incredibly depressing, and I know Im lucky to have had that stash. So many people didnt have anything and lost so much. People lost people. Half a million at this point. I remember when it got to 300,000 and I just?? Felt so awful it was so close to how many people we lost to AIDS. Its over that by so many now. It doesn't really stop, does it??

Is that catholic guilt?? Or maybe just irish guilt in general. Is it something I inherited or earned through all the end of the worlds and once in a lifetime recessions Ive been through. Im not sure how many off the top of my head, theyve been coming since I was so small and its always more and more. Im not even catholic anymore. I cant stop being irish though, even though the brits tried (and succeeded. Weve lost a lot. The current royal cotastrophy is bullshit as well, the only person who deserves a royal title is from Meniappolos

I joined vixxy for breakfast. I send out a mass text to everyone i know telling them to meet us in the abandoned warehouse we sometimes meet up within the hour.

As they arive some just look annoyed as they keep asking me what this is about. I yell them to be paitent. As Donnie arrives i get the watch and put it on.

"Listen guys i know this sounds unbelevable but I have relived this day many times and it always ends the same. At 6 theres going to be an atack all over the world and most of you wont survive. Im telling you all to prepare for the end but dont go down without a fight."

Theres an uproar of questions and people not beleving me as I prove it

"Shreadder and the foot will walk in in... 7 6 5 4 3 2 now" he points to the door "aint got time for your shit as they are entangled in a trap i set.

"Now listen i want to save you all but i cant without your help"

I grab vixxys hand "i cant loose you again" but it was too late sniper shot her wasnt expecting that out come "noooo" i yell my allies scatter. I watch as one by one they are killed what had i done wrong this time? I make my way to the lair set the watch and try again.

Morning comes i hold vixxy close wanting to cry she dies in my arms so many times its getting harder to wake to her smiling face.

I have D make the watch get it from him and i just try to save her shes all that matters right now. "I know this sounds weird but put this on" i hand her a bullet proof vest and a hooded jacket and pants. I too put on the same as i steal the keys to the party wagon and leave never looking back she had to be protected. But my driving sucked and I crashed running us off the bridge into the fridged water below she didnt make it and i was banged up pretty badly. I pulled myself out of the water and made my way home setting the watch and going to bed.

Next day after holding vixxy i did the thing with donnie but asked him more questions trying to learn of it was possable to go back more than just one day. After some calculations he found he couldnt do it for more than a day without working on it for months. "Try" I tell him as we work together i relearn the skimatics for the new modle.

After what seamed like months of working it out still loosing everyone every time we had done it. This time hopefully the last time i give D the new skimatics and hes able to make the watch. I try going back a week at first we are all prepared but i cant save them. I try months and eventually years but always on that day no mater how prepared I am I always loose her.

Finally i try one last thing the night we met i dont go save her it brakes my heart. But i live out my life without her. We meet later in life she dates raph she seams so different her sweetnees was now a ruff attitude. But the day comes and i cant save them.

One last a few months before giving D time to creat enough watches for all of us. The morning of the day comes were all prepared but this time it was diffrent i die this time.

Waking up next to vixxy whats going on "i couldnt save all of you" she said holding my left hand.

"I did what i could but i had to amputate it" d said

As i sat up i realized my right arm is gone. "What day is it did we make it?"

"Kinda i had to go back and find a way to save us both luckily i had D with me but you doing that alone so many times for me i..i" vixxy cried and hugged me i held her back also crying "we made it."

Jan 2021 Wins

ive “journaled” for 6 months now. it started as small ___ wins because when you feel rly empty, even doing the bare minimum feels like a win. written down some of the wins. i think until now i’d like to keep the “win” part. a win against my shadow sometimes. a win in life. some things to be grateful for. a win for remembering it later in the future. i know some days im just basically doing nothing.  there are a lot of wars not won by me. but im still tryna ✨manifest✨

1 - woke up. watched bts’ 2021 seasons greetings. read trap city. afternoon nap. pupuy’s mbah passed away. i got DOMS in my body even though i did the barest of exercise yesterday (frail, i know). shower, matcha latte.

2 - the x banner atikah and i sent for racil post thesis defense has arrived lmaoo. mom made delicious (and sweet) fried banana. did some studying (more than usual, bcs the bar is on the floor)

3 - ate muesli, 3 risols. Kopsus coklat at flavola. Stayed there from 12-ish to 17:30 lmaooo. weekly bahas soal w/ fi. Rapat nemo

4 - first day of collab module. Barely cicil ukmppd. My mood is normal-ish but i hardly have the will to study. Dinner is fried fish with mentai sauce, potato wedges, and saladdd by mom

5 - collab module, qa presentation for rsui reps. finished reviewing tryout 2 solid. did padi pretest (got 66,5). ate chicken porridge, a bit of muesli and vsoy, tan ek tjoan bread, matcha latte, fish and chicken and potato wedges and salad, fried banana. i ate well today lol.

6 - slept during collab webinar, went to clara’s place to study osce and attended padi together. i ate well at clara’s placeee lol. ate nastar, kusuka, white kwetiaw with soup (?), and lele goreng. went back home @ 9 pm. i feel refreshed. even though we’ve half studied half mukbang all day. human interaction rly does heal me. i need human interaction more than i think. at night i dreamed about going to bali, to waterparks, seeing sea creatures, watching a movie displayed on a concert-like stage and screen at the front row. 

7 - woke up at 07:55, finished my part for collab group work. felt a bit tired today. the rest of fam went to DM, and when they were on the way back i HURRIED my way out, not even taking a shower lmaoo. got pistachio matcha latte at starbucks dm. now im more skilled in searching the best spot in a cafe to distance myself from people lmao. the matcha latte is served with some sort of pistachio cream and sprinkled with nuts on top. its like when sbux had taro matcha latte and it had purple cream on top. the pistachio taste is quite strong. reviewed TO 1 padi, sent proposals for nemo sponsorship.

8 - did syndrome try out and padi 2 web try out. studied for osce and padi @ clara’s place. wanted to order pizza since clara bought me food before, but she insisted in ordering lmaoo. so dinner is pizza hut

9 - woke up at 11.00 lmao. havent had breakfast. lunch is muesli with the brand new delishhh chocolate granola and cimory banana milk. did one shot try out, got 71. had a google meet with Prof Agus (that ethics book ghostwriting job from a year ago is not finished until now huaaa) that went from 20.00ish and finished at 22.30,,,,, reviewed syndrome try out along the way. havent made my collab self reflection hhhh. i also need to study for osce. also havent edited article for bukang solid. and there goes my saturday nooo

10 - i swear i keep waking up late lmao. Flavola w atikah, racheel later came with wawa. Kopsus coklat and ukmppd class w dr yudo. After class i just talked at flavola (and ended not studying osce at all for sunday). Went to racheel's to pray and talk some more. Hurriedly went back for booty call with fi, watched konser dies natalis first. Tryout and sum study with fi and clar that went from 20:30 to 00:10. Powered by left over kopsus and 2 snackit pia. Rip my sleeping schedule

11 - woke up at 10:30 ish, the lack of meal and horrible sleep pattern (for my standard) produced stuffy nose during the day and a bit of headache that went away for a bit after i ate. Late bfast is muesli, drank protein, ate tan ek tjoan, plus 2 brownies in the evening. Tht coaching w dr niken. Did self reflection for collab. Had dinner without rice, as usual. Ukmppd class w dr ayu. Finished reflection at 21:30 lmao (deadline is 23:55). Tryna sleep and my nose is still itchy and i sneeze a more often. i hope it goes away 2mrw

12 - DV coaching, scele tryout, took a nap before padi cause my head kind of hurts. Les padi while drinking matcha with vsoy less sugar and no added sugar. I can withstand the horrible sugarless cy matcha taste bcs theres a taste of soy. Didnt do anything else. Havent studied osce on my own until now. Astagfirullah

13 - my head still kind of aches. Its goes away when im eating. im eating so well during the weekdays that i gained 2kgs lmao. lazed around the first half of the day. padi. finally tried saint matcha and damnn its an amazing upgrade from Cy matcha. the green color is super different yall. Cy’s green looks sick and tired compared to saint matcha. the taste? immaculate (although coco deli is more fragrant). caffeine? hits. awake and feel normal? yes. messaged an ao3 author and got replied and turns out she’s making a sequel for my fav fic of hers. yay

14 - osce practice w ara ren ness. bedah and anak osce coaching. had 3 of mom’s cinnamon rolls and matcha latte for the afternoon. cicil osce DV. edited some pld articles. did nothing else basically

15 - wasted my day, didnt have the courage to study osce (i feel like i procrastinate on it bcs it feels overwhelming to me), TO FKUI 2, hurriedly reviewed to 1 before, les padi. i feel like this is the least focused im being in a les. maybe its the too few matcha powder.

16 - woke up at 9 am. breakfast is muesli. reviewed to 2 fkui w apa salahku (finished at 12 pm, there goes half of my saturday). tried fried chicken master. its good and tender but i still prefer moon chicken. 

17 - breakfast is muesli, banana and 2 martabak tahu. snack is keripik pisang aduuu wenak (and picking bits of meat cooked by mom). went to devi’s place w/ racheel silvi. brought RJ to be wrapped. we watched okay madam and its super fun, hilarious and full of twists anddd a bit of cutesy romance. just the right balance to enjoy and let the stress out. late lunch is moon chicken yay!! went home after maghrib, did to padi 6 w/ fi and matcha latte. talked about a senior’s wedding and eating healthier til 22:30

18 - To fkui 3, wasted my afternoon playing my phone, finally mustered some will to study after ashar. My progress is rly slow today. Watched hilarious jessi interview with eric, heechul. Im telling u, i thought tiktok is the funniest internet content but i was wronggg. Seeing heechul flustered is hilarious. Tried to study again at night but only learned 1 disease hiks

19 - had no idea what i did before dzuhur lmao. went to racheel’s to surprise atikah. actually napped at her place lmaoo why do i feel so sleepy. gifted rj to atikah. we ate fried chicken master and pempek on a small green table and talked. its like korean movie lmao. we talked while im simultaneously listening to padi lol.

20 - woke up at 8, chicken porridge + muesli and low sugar vsoy for breakfast. arrived at clara’s @10am. to fkui 4. reviewed it. reviewed general physical exam. finished up to padi 7. tried bombo donut. studied osce. i felt sooo dumb in osce (and clara is already super smart). superrr motivated to learn after going back home (arrived at 7) but i ended up opening youtube and drinking protein lmaooo and its suddenly 9 pm

21 - matcha latte at starbucks dm. Studied osce. Obgyn coaching w the super kind dr ilham. Les padi. Read angel buddy and played with my phone til 12 pm

22 - to fkui. padi as usual. had low motivation, so i did the tryout that day close to the actual course.

23 - left home at 06:30 to study together in capitol. had breakfast in mcd first. thank god i ate rice + chicken and breakfast wrap cuzzzz. studied osce together w ara, ical, kelvyn, dio and kak ilonka til about 2 pm. WALKED to bk bcs my parents are there. apparently simply driving to capitol is too much for them. immediately ate muesli at 4 pm cause i didnt eat anything in capitol. did nothing else after that. did not pray maghrib together lmao somehow mom had mercy on me and let me sleep som more. mom bought sate padang but i didnt eat it. i cried in bed because as yoongi said, “this is the real you and this is the real me”. did not shower/wash my face at night bcs i felt like shit lmao rip my face (its a week before bukang photoshoot)

24 - i feel tired, lazy, and just wanted some sleep. like all that’s in me is drained. ate muesli with strawberry milk. tried fitmee beef. its better than i thought. because the noodle is chewy you spend more time to chew. also ate fried chicken and daun singkong. usually i cant wait to go to flavola but even at 12 pm i just feel like laying down. finally mustered the will to shower and go out. its raining a bit on the way. colddd. 

25 - to fkui 6, osce briefing, covid lecture (that was actually for ppds), padi

26 - spaghetti for brekkie, coaching neuro and ophthalmology, cicil osce

27 - cicil osce, the second to the last padi omg. the fastest padi ever

28 - obgyn osce practice at kak ilonka’s place (that nice kosan at forkabi) with ara, ren ness, kelvyn, dio with mannequins from og dept, tried meokja salemba that serves bulgogi rice. quite good. after arriving at home, studied neuro together with menno til about 20:45 an and i just dont have the energy lmaooo so i gave up and slept

29 - today is bukang photoshoot at bintaro. put base make up on the way. even put glue on my eyebrow. got eyebrow, eyeshadow and blush done by renata. took lots of photos. nebeng om coro afterwards to bxc to meet mom. we ate at genki sushi (renata ara kris mendel oca regan geordie eka). i missss road trips hua. did tryout fkui on the way back home. after shower and prayer proceeded to review TO with apa salahku. Last padi (havent done the questions beforehand so i sprinted it out while on the actual course). Muhasabah osce with kak widia afterwards lmao. Studied osce with clara

30 - studied osce with ara ren ness @ merra. I ate eatlah, moms muffin, kemplang, tango. I ate so welll. Its a productive sesh, neuro and infectious disease. At home i studied osce w clara til abt 22:15 ish. I feel like i miss my me time lmao its been 3 days. I can still go on w clara but i dont wanna get myself sick

31 - simul osce in the morning. Osce study with clara almira. Cicil osce alone. Played my phone at 10 pm even though i still have mental clarity post matcha latte -___-
