i haven’t slept so i’m like, blanking on asamuna-san’s hobby gomen (i think it was acting??) 🙇‍♀️ but his would be sasara, komada-san the photographer would like to be rei and asanuma-san suggested dice for kamio-san’s magician hobby, and he didn’t disagree but he also locked in jakurai for his answer LOL

there was a sports question i think asking what sports they would like to play. kamio-san is already a recreational boxer!!!!! idk which of the two brought it up, but it was decided asanuma-san should definitely do curling and to demonstrate this, kamio-san offered to be his curling stone. asanuma-san stared at him blankly for a full 30 seconds before agreeing and it sent me LOL

komada-san said he’d like to be a basketball player and they even threw in a slam dunk reference just for meeeee (and the thousands of fans the series has and bc kamio-san is part of the cast LOL)

instead of doing a ranking quiz like bb, mtc seiyuu got to do a shooting target booth!!!!! if they got enough points they’d get to hold a raffle for the audience!!!!

asanuma-san pulled up in his long leather overcoat with a glock and hit two of the five targets and it was so cool like neo keanu who goddamn 😭😭😭😭😭

komada-san got to use a revolver and also hit two of the five targets!!!! (his gun also got jammed lol)

there were only two guns on the table so assnuma-san asked which of the two kamio-san would like to use and kamio-san pulled out a rifle from dj uichi’s booth LOL he also hit all five of the targets never forget who’s the goat in mtc lmao

the seiyuu had all been sharing the mtc champagne water and sipping out of that yakuza cup throughout the live but at the end during final comments, asanuma-san got really thirsty and bc every move he makes causes the audience to scream lmao, his little water break was interrupting kamio-san’s closing message lmao

komada-san decided to follow asanuma-san, so after he got thru with his drink, asanuma poured him some and komada-san drank from the cup. i’m sure by the frenzy it caused, we have another samajuto indirect kiss for the books LOL

asanuma-san served kamio-san as well and the audience tried to get him to chug LOL. he told them to save that energy for shinjuku lmao 😭😭😭😭😭

asanuma-san didn’t forget to serve dj uichi 🤗🤗🤗 i’d like to take this moment now to say that sharing a sake cup like the sakazuki cup usually means a sworn, lifelong bond between drinkers 🤗🤗🤗🤗

You and Spencer have been dating for almost 5 years. Your relationship had moved rather quickly, you started dating a few months before lockdown and you decided to move in together because you didn’t know how long Covid was going to last. This wasn’t that crazy because it had felt like you’d been dating longer than you had due to the fact that you worked together years prior and always secretly wanted more.

Since the beginning of your relationship you told each other that should you make it to your five year anniversary, you would tell the world then.

Time flew by and the next thing you know, you’re only a day away from the world knowing why you’ve been so happy this last half-a-decade.

You and Spencer are laying in bed, you’re still asleep as he watches the rise and fall of your steady breathing. You wake up to the feeling of a hand running up and down you side. You turn, humming softly, to see spencer intently watching your every move.

You chuckle, running your hand through his hair. “You look like you’re about to murder me.”

He smiles, “sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you up… I just like the way you look while you sleep.”

You smile, turning back around so he’s now spooning you. “Okay, creeper.”

Spencer laughs, wrapping an arm around your waist as he nuzzles his face into your neck. “You know what I mean, idiot.”

You lay in silence for a few seconds before Spencer speaks again. “Guess what?”

“Hm?”

He kisses behind your ear, “tomorrow we go public.”

You sigh, nodding.

“You know we don’t have to if you don’t want, I know we said 5 years but-“ you quickly turn around to face him, sitting up.

“No, no. Of course I want to. I’m just… you know, nervous.” You fidget with the end of his shirt.

He cups your face in his hand, sitting up with you. “I know, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared too… but after we do this we don’t have to hide at all anymore. Just imagine..” he kissed your forehead.

You have to admit, the thought of being able to talk about him, to have him to yourself publicly, for everyone to know he was yours. You’d be able to kiss him, flirt with him, you smiled just thinking about it.

You grab the wrist of the hand on your face, leaning into it. “Yeah, you’re right.” You leave a kiss on his palm, “I love you, S.”

“I love you too, baby.”

okay. quick history lesson, LND was started in the 90s, when andrew lloyd webber collaborated with author frederick forsyth to write the phantom of manhattan. this was the original plan. but it was bad and no one got on board and the very idea of a sequel was dumb. everything was scrapped (which is why you can hear the coney island waltz and beneath a moonless sky motifs in the 2004 movie; ALW just had them lying around and didn't have anything to do with them.) now comes along 2006 and they start to work on it again. SEVERAL changes are made from forsyth's book but the most important ones here are what they did to raoul. to save time here's a quick list and if you read the book (it's on amazon) you'll see what i mean:

he no longer knows and accepts from the beginning that gustave (pierre in POM) is not his son

he's now an alcoholic and gambler and broke

he is no longer there on the scene when christine dies

most of all: he's no longer the better option for christine

ALW and his team wanted so badly for erik and christine to be the favoured pairing that they NUKED raoul's character for the sequel. to make the sudden character shift from "loving childhood sweetheart who's just a little dumb" to "borderline abusive husband and neglectful father" believable in the sequel, they had to tweak how he acted in the original. in 2010-2011 (when LND was in the final stages before being premiered) actors playing raoul were told to change how they presented the character. start looking annoyed, be snappier, be less caring, etc.

the most obvious example of this is hadley fraser in the 25th anniversary performance. he looks grumpy, he rolls his eyes at christine when she's in distress.

here is a compilation of some comparisons between steve barton, hadley fraser and post-covid raoul actors (who i will address the importance of in a moment) in the rooftop and masquerade scenes:

i think these two moments really display raoul's character, both in the good eras and the bad. on the rooftop hadley looks annoyed. he's physically rough with christine and then dismissive when she tries to explain. the others (ESPECIALLY steve) are just concerned and continuously (try to) comfort her. in masquerade it's the same thing; hadley is upset and argumentative when the others are worried and even try to lift christine's spirits by showing her how happy they are about the engagement.

it IS the 20th anniversary of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance this year on April 20th!! The US version came out in October, but I'm hoping to post (general) art for it all year :) I want to share my love for it. It's such a special game! I like playing all Fire Emblems, but the characters and story in FE9/10 are super special to me now. I'm so happy I got to revisit this last year.

Can't believe Covid made me respark an old love. I'm glad to be here with you all.
