Shin & Sou, the Asunaro cat
(YTTD AU, in which I replace some characters with cats)
One day at school Shin noticed a creepy tuxedo cat watching him from the windowsill. The creature's green eyes seemed to glow, as if it was running on batteries. It manifested again as Shin was walking home. Shin bolted (as in he ran for two minutes, then had to rest on the bench for another twenty), but when he made it home the cat was already at his doorstep. Accepting his fate, Shin opened the door. Upon closer inspection, the red scarf around the cat's neck had letters A and S written on it. Shin hoped those were the initials of the cat's owner, but despite him putting up pleading posters all over town no one ever came by. In the end, the cat was adopted by the Tsukimi family and named Sou due to his sly demeanor.
Sou turned out to be quite a clingy pet, following Shin to school and around town, peeking over his shoulder as he played computer games. At other times he would turn quite aggressive, clawing at his owner without reason or mercy. The photo camera would send Sou into a frenzy, so taking pictures of him turned out to be an impossible task. Also, Sou never gave up his habit of prowling the streets. So sometimes, while working a night shift at the supermarket, Shin would worry about what his cat might be up to. But every time upon coming home he'd find Sou in the same position as always: sleeping soundly on the warm laptop.

#your turn to die#yttd fanart#kanna kizuchi#greenblings#sara chidouin#happy birthday shin#too much went into this#there are so many little details oh my god#Kanna's outfit is based off the one she was wearing in the flashback of 2-1#also the bracelets she's wearing represent each of the 15 people who didn't make it out of the death game#both the real hinako and the fake hinako are represented on the same bracelet there are pink AND black beads#Sara's apron is based on Kai's#Kanna was scared to ask for Sara's help because Sara has been reclusive since the death game#but it ended up being a really good bonding experience for them#Sara is now a chronic baker#Kanna gave her bucket to Shin to use as a flowerpot#the flowers in it are daffodils which represent rebirth and new beginnings#fitting for life after the death game
