How I imagine myself (aka want to be)
Vent in the tags (sorry in advance)
#Honestly almost cried while sketching this#I feel so stupid#Like why did I agree to wait until i'm 25 to transition#Oh wait I know#Because I love my parents to much and they only really support me if I a) am 25 or b) my mental health is really really bad#Also it's that part of my mind that's doubting everything. That it's just a phase. That i'm not actually transmasc#Also the psychologist I used to go to supported the idea to wait till 25 and was talking about some whos she knew#And how that girl wanted to be a boy but she got a boyfriend and she didn't want to anymore#Or that boy who wanted to be a girl but later found his identity and was secure in his agab#And she kept saying/asking; “Would you be able to accept to be just a manly woman??” And similar questions#And I know it's stupid but because of it I just keep questioning myself over and over#Because now i'm especially scared it's something I grow out off#But I just want to look in a mirror and be happy#And while I do like my clothing. I want other stuff but I feel goddam dysphoric in that#Only things I can change about me is piercings and my hair but even that is something my parents aren't really keen of#Atleast the length is something they are okay with but if it's kinda more a “”man's style“” and I hear only oh my god it's so manly"#Honestly I just hate that i'm to scared to do anything about it#All the while I suffer#cause I just cant get out of the house without a binder. Always checking how my profile looks like. Crying when its not how I want it to be#Or almost crying when my mom says “that size is better for a girl like you because other wise it looks boyish” even when I confided in her#transmasc#transgender#trans artwork#Trans#Artists on tumbr#Lgbt#my art <3#my own post

so I’m trying to move cause this apartment sucks, and my dad suggested I see if my aunt (who is also my godmother) would let me move in with her, cause she’s got a big house and she’s been living alone since her husband (my uncle and godfather) died. and she lives a bit far from work but not terribly inconvenient, and she loves me and likes animals so neither me nor my bird would be unwelcome housemates.
and like trying to move I’ve shifted some priorities cause I’ve realized I don’t actually like living in the city proper and I would like to have trees and nature around and yknow not have my home be a mice-infested basement with no climate control with the entrance off a back alley that’s filled with dead rats and broken glass.
and it is taking everything in me to not just cave and ask her if she wants a housemate asap. she’s retired, she’ll love my bird, and I will be the best resident ever if she would have me.
but she’s also 30-40 mins out of the city with no public transit that goes to the city, and my car just absolutely shit the bed so I would have to get a car and/or figure out borrowing one from her or another family member
but also. cheap rent and guaranteed meals and in-house laundry and a big house with a big yard and a big garden and also I’m genuinely worried about my aunt living alone as she gets older so like???????? I’m very very very tempted.
#shhh sharkie#biggest thing in this current like literally today right now moment#is that my car just absolutely shit the bed so I am car-less until further notice#I’m gonna get a bike and I can do public transit and that from where I live now#but I don’t want to stay where I am now. it sucks for a lot of reasons.#but it is a straight shot to and from work#(and honestly biking more often is gonna be good for my knees)#and her place is a 30-40 min drive from the city#so unless she’s got a car I can use or someone else does until I have the money to buy a car#it’s not feasible for me to live with her at the very current moment#but my dad keeps pressing the idea and I keep thinking about it more and more#she would be lovely to live with and she would love my bird#i don’t think she has any other pets and she lives alone and she has a four bedroom house in the country like??? why would I not!#i was even saying like. I don’t really do night-life city stuff anymore. it’s not my jam and it’s not important to me really?#so it wouldn’t horribly cramp my style to live there. i’d have to reconfigure with some DnD stuff but it’s not totally inaccessible yknow?#ugh I’ve got a lot of thinking to do in general im gonna end this here and go try and clean my house

Oh god 6 days till grandparents ………….
#I’m not super dreading it bc like. I do love them and their chill with me doing my own thing but also.#I never like. told them I started t. so I am going to have to like. do that probably.#they will. probably be fine with it like they might not be like super excited but they don’t tend to comment outwardly when they don’t like#my style choices. my grandpa I think just. genuinely doesn’t care my grandma does but doesn’t want to hurt my feelings I think like I can te#tell immediately when she likes or dislikes an outfit or hair choice but she doesn’t say when she doesn’t like it (usually) and I think this#will be similar although I know like. last april/may we had a talk about gender and she said something about waiting to medically transition#until I was ‘sure’ which like. she really does mean well she’s just. in her 60s and catholic and doesn’t know what she’s talking about so.#it will probably be a discussion and I’m not super looking forward to it but we’ll see how it goes. I don’t think they’ll like. do anything#about it other than like. ask me questions like they’re very you’re an adult you can do whatever you want just be careful so.#I can handle some weird questions bc they really are coming a good place trying to understand#also. not to get to tmi here but the sex drive increase from t had like. more or less leveled out but I increased my dose like 2-3 weeks ago#and uhhh. it has not leveled out since then so. that’ll be. fun to deal with while not living alone.#I also won’t get to walk around the house in my boxers which will be devastating to me but I’ll cope#in the positive side I won’t have to pay for or plan meals anymore if I don’t want to yay yippee yayyyy#prsnl

Is Chicago, Illinois Cheap or Expensive? Here’s the Answer.
If you’re mulling over a move to this bustling metropolis and scanning the “real estate for sale in Chicago, Illinois”, you’re likely curious: Is Chicago cheap or expensive?
Housing Costs in Chicago
When it comes to the housing market, the prices are as diverse as the city itself. A general consensus shows moderate costs compared to coastal cities.
Chicago’s Real Estate Market
From luxury condos downtown to single-family houses in the suburbs, Chicago has a range of accommodation styles. Naturally, the cost varies depending on the type and location.
Luxury Living in Chicago
If you opt for the high-end spectrum of “new properties for sale in the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs,” prices can reach into the millions.
Middle-of-the-pack Living
For more modest budgets, homes outside the hub can be attractively priced, providing excellent value in terms of space and amenities.
Cost of Living Index
Considering other living costs, Chicago’s index stands at 106.9, slightly above the U.S. average of 100. While some areas could be expensive, others are surprisingly affordable.
Food and Leisure Prices
Dining out in Chicago can be both a bargain and a splurge. Street food is wallet-friendly, whereas fine dining experiences can be quite steep.
Transportation Costs in Chicago
Getting around Chicago with public transit systems is reasonable. Meanwhile, parking and gas prices can significantly increase the commuting costs for car owners.
Verdict: Cheap or Expensive?
As seen, it completely depends on your lifestyle and where you choose to live and dine. By researching and budgeting, it’s possible to find cost-effective solutions.
Find Your Preferred Lifestyle
The housing options align with a wide range of budgets, whether you’re browsing budget-friendly homes or looking for extravagant properties for sale in the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs.
In Summary
Ultimately, living in Chicago can be cheap, expensive, or somewhere in between, factoring in your individual budget, lifestyle, and specific choices — particularly in housing.
