god it's such a shame that i only discovered my ideal vocal range isn't soprano + which songs best fit my voice type + how much i really love belting songs like my voice is gonna cause a sonic boom only after i stopped being involved in theatre productions multiple times per year. like ugh so many years of being a random background character in school/summer camp productions bc sure i technically could hit the high notes but i was always slightly off pitch, why did no one ever take me aside and be like "let's see if this kid can belt a green day song and give her some self confidence"

i deserve a do-over of all my middle school/high school theater productions thank you very much

God of war having yggdrasils branches as a sort of between-zones loading screen you get to actually run along until the door materializes is very nice

It's a creative lil workaround that maintains the slightly meditative liminal/transitional vibe of loading screens while still keeping you right there in the game

about your headspace, I remember a post being made about Bat-Cat showing up which got me thinking Does that just happen? Like, what is headspace like— whenever I research DID or OSDD I can’t really figure out just what headspace is like. Can someone hear headspace while fronting, see it? Or is it more like just somewhere you go when not fronting?

a headspace is basically just a little world inside our head for all of our alters to exist with each other! some systems have them and some do not! usually when we say "someone showed up in headspace" it just means theyve formed solidly as an alter enough to be visualized there. ours is a big haunted house! sometimes the fronter can hear headspace and sometimes they cannot (also this all varies from system to system, as some do not even have headspaces and some do not have any inner communication at all, this is all just about our experiences in particular)

like i said our headspace is a big haunted house and we all just kinda live there and exist with each other, alters who are fronting are still inside the headspace but they tend to kinda zone out so they focus more on the real world, but people with a lot of practice (like licorice) can better exist within both spaces at the same time and switch back and forth between what theyre focusing on (he usually uses this to give messages from the real world to alters who arent fronting)

sorry this is kinda rambly and confusing, if u need me to clarify on anything do not be afraid to ask but please note we are not a dissociative disorder professional so we're just speaking from our own experiences :]

The thing that annoys me about the whole Sonic transition into 3d thing was actually more to do with people getting upset with the change in Sonic as a character then actually gameplay as classic was just a generic spunky kid protagonist before turning into the hedgehog personification of the X-treme 90s as modern. I mean look at how Archie had to really wrestles some characters to make the transition from classic to modern.

(BTW most of the old 3d Sonic games like the OG SA1 suffered from the same issues as Mario 64 such as really hard depth perception and weird level pacing but it's just much more noticeable in SA1 since Sonic being way faster could make it harder to navigate areas where you have to slow down and think, however alot of these issues were patched in DX)

ive never actually seen anyone say that .. like that sonic had a rough transition into 3d from a character stuff standpoint. not saying i dont believe you just that thats not a take ive ever heard before. i feel like personality wise hes mostly the same so were they mad that he has green eyes were that mad that he talks now. idk . guess i never considered this perspective because im too young to have ever lived in a world where only the classic games existed

and yeah im aware that sonic adventure isnt perfect i just think its strange that sonic specifically is the one people never shut up about having a rough transition into 3d and not any other franchise that went from 2d to 3d at some point . you mention mario 64 having a lot of the same issues and i cant say from experience because ive never played that game but a lot of people hype up mario 64 as one of the best games ever made so like. is there a weird double standard going on here or something

Huh. Just passed both 2 years of HRT and 6 months with the new name. My 2nd orchiversary is in a couple months. All that stuff feels like it's been forever and no time at all, simultaneously.
