Petzold finally got me with this one. Maybe my sensibility is tuned to l'amour fou folk fantasy, whereas i've no doubt been too dull to properly receive what he's been offering prior. Inendurable mortal love across division and reunification, old and new, above and below, maps and tokens. Variation on the Undine/Ondine myth, the love we follow and hope and grieve for being maybe just a feint for the love fate and curse clings to. But a momentous love all the same.
