Hey! My name is Delta and I’m a transmasc guy who just got approved for top surgery! I’ve been wearing binders for years and they’ve unfortunately done damage to my ribs/lungs and will continue to do so the longer I wait to get this surgery. Not to mention, this surgery might not even be an option for me soon, depending on who wins the presidential election. I’m an astrophysics undergrad researcher and part time artist/crafter. I’m currently working on data from the South Gemini Telescope in Chile to study supernova remnants. My chest is the main trigger of my dysphoria. And though it doesn't always bother me, it makes things hard when it does. Updating my donation post as it's been a few months. I'm still struggling with being homeless and I recently lost my health insurance (yayy turning 26!)

I've applied for section 8 at a local large city but that can take time. I'm also in the months long process of applying for SNAP/medicaid. I've also applied for financial assistance through my work to help me as well but I'm unsure of the turn around time or how much they can assist me.

Currently with the cost of rent in my local area the best option might be for me to renovate a free mobile home. However I need to move it to a lot/mobile home park with hookups and that can cost alot of money. The current estimate I got is around $8,000.

This doesn't include the lot rent per month or the cost of fixing the mobile home. But I do get to own the trailer after and can sell it once I have my feet under me again and ready to move.

I've been looking into so many different options but I'm struggling with finding something in my budget. Current income restricted housing is at a 1 to 2 year wait list. Others require a $48 per person application before you get to even see the apartment (for a one bedroom no less)

I've already made so many sacrifices during this year including not perusing fighting to get my cat back. Unfortunately with the way I can't find housing there wasn't a hope I could find housing and have it allow pets.

I've anyone has suggestions for finding roomates (that's not Facebook) or housing please feel free to message me

Hi everyone, my name is Chase. I am creating this gofundme in hopes to help me, my fiancee Lily, my best friend Zoey, and our two kitties Mango and Cocoa escape out currently falling apart apartment by September.

The history with this apartment has always been sketchy, we learned in late 2022 our lease was fraudulent as our previous landlord hadn't disclosed to us that he was subleasing. When we suddenly got a notice that we might be facing an eviction, despite paying rent on time every single month, we ended up learning be was pocketing the money and ran. The property owners were kind enough to keep us in the apartment and sign a real lease, however unfortunately getting in contact with them regarding issues has been more difficult than it should be.

Since October, we have been dealing with broken windows, a broken front door (which only got fixed in May!) broken shower tiles and a clogged tub drain, shotty lighting, and other damage in the apartment. We also learned during that cold snap in January our apartment is not weatherproof for cold weather, it was around 30 F in my room near one of the broken windows before we had to tape everything up. This apartment has become a safety concern for both us and the cats, and despite repeatedly calling and emailing we have receive only one repair since October.

While I know we are more than set to cover rent, extra fees like pet fees and move in fees are a little harder to cover. I recently started a new job and went through about a month without pay, draining my checking savings and maxing out my credit card, I am still recovering from this slowly. My fiancee is frequently in chronic pain so working any longer than she does would take a toll on her, and when Zoey moved up it proved to be harder to find a job than she expected, so for a little while she wasn't able to help much with rent.

This combined with emergency expenses (hospital visit, vet visit, major repairs, etc) has put us in a place where we need a bit of extra help getting us into a nicer and safer place.

We are currently lined up for a couple apartments in our neighborhood, so as soon as we get confirmation we can move forward with one of these places we will be set.

Me and my family started this process over a year ago but living in Oklahoma, my insurance has been refusing to cooperate with us and I've decided the safest choice is to pay for it ourselves without relying on insurance. I'll be working to cover as much as I can, but the cost is steep, and the sooner this surgery can be done, the better.
