Transformers ROTB
Mirage x Reader
(Hurt/Comfort)
It's a billion degrees here so thinking is hard and I've been imagining cold... This fic of Mirage keeper reader warm after a snowy rescue was born. As the last fic proves, I just love writing Mirage cuddles, and can you blame me?
Tumblr media
Look at him. Absolute cuddlebug. Has to be.
---
Everything was cold and aching when you came to, but considering you'd expected not to wake up at all, you could tentatively call that a win. Too exhausted and pained to shiver, you cracked your eyes open as sounds finally drifted into focus. A blue figure moved through the darkness with curses of frantic frustration, their inhumanly large frame bent over a pile of damp wood they were having no luck lighting. Recognizing their familiar shade of blue in the brief flashes of light from their attempted fire, you perked up despite your exhaustion.
"Mirage?"
The mech snapped his helm around, optics wider than you'd ever seen them as he looked at you in total disbelief.
"Hey, you're not dead!" he gushed as he crawled across the cave, looking so overjoyed he must not have believed you'd ever speak again. Too worn out and stiff to chuckle, you managed to crack a smile as the mech leaned over you, seemingly drinking in your presence as if he hadn't seen you in ages. Not having the slightest clue how you'd gotten here, you found your head free of worry despite your injuries, and you couldn't resist the urge to crack a joke.
"Should I be?"
"No, definitely not! Don't you go getting any ideas!" Mirage replied, his tone a solid mix of playful admonishment and serious warning. Adjusting a small emergency blanket that you'd been loosely swaddled in, he fretted long enough for you to pick up on his worry despite the continued jokes. "I've busted my aft keeping you alive this long, you don't get to put all my hard work to waste."
"What happened?" you asked as you tried to hug the blanket closer, numb fingers making it nearly impossible. Confused but able to recall a blurry series of events, the lack of other Autobots stuck out to you, especially when you remembered the whole group had been together in battle the last time you'd seen them. Not seeing a single other being in the cave activated your worry. "Where's-?"
"Shhh, questions take stamina you can't spare. I'll do the talking for both of us." Mirage interrupted gently, still teasing but sounding much softer as he encouraged you to lie back. The warmth of his servo and the comfort of his much larger frame beside yours allowed you to relax and listen, but as you did so It became apparent you were still quite exhausted, and you had to fight the urge to sleep. A fascinating narrative made consciousness stick around despite your heavy eyelids. "It took some expert tracking, but Bee was able to find two sets of tracks; a big ugly bot and the human he was tearing after. Unfortunately enough for him, we found him first."
Now you could remember how you'd gotten into this mess; running from a Decepticon and trying to lose them in the dense, frozen forest... The last thing you'd seen of Mirage had been the main battle, and you couldn't even begin to recall how long you'd been out in the cold, but it was good to know everything had more or less worked out. If only you weren't so terribly cold...
"I don't know how you outran him, but you were sorta... asleep and awake when we found you, so cold you weren't even shivering. We called Noah, and he's arranging to meet Optimus somewhere "clandestine" and escort a medic this way. They're gonna look you over and then pretend they didn't see us." Mirage continued. Nodding in incomplete understanding, you tried to keep your eyes open, and would have yawned if you'd had the strength. You knew what was being said meant a lot to you, and that a doctor was very much in order, but it all felt so far away. Aching body going increasingly numb, you barely found the strength to reply.
"Thank you..." you croaked, so terribly tired you couldn't convince yourself that staying awake was worth it. Mirage reacted swiftly, cupping his hand behind your head and looking into your eyes. The fear in his optics made you yearn for the energy to comfort him, but as it was you couldn't even understand why he was so upset.
"Don't thank me, just stay awake, yeah?" he encouraged, positive facade crumbling as he scooped you up in a panic. Feeling his chest, which radiated a reduced but still appreciable amount of warmth, you sighed and leaned into his embrace. The speedster held you tightly against him, digits patting your cheek as he tried to get you to focus on him. "Talk to me, Y/N, tell me what I can do."
"Cold..." was all you could say, exhaustion all but dragging you down into unconsciousness. Only your desire not to upset him kept you awake, but you knew there was precious little fight left in you. Mirage frantically reached back to the damp wood he'd been attempting to dry and ignite with his blaster.
"Okay, okay... I can... Scrap, I can't get this to light!" he cried in briefly hopeless frustration, his servo transforming back into a limb so he could hold you close to share what little warmth he had to spare. The pain in his expression compelled you to comfort him, but you didn't have the strength to do anything but lay your hand on the glowing center of his chest. You only wanted him to know it was alright, but the mech took much more from the gesture, his optics widening before his brows furrowed in determination. "Plan B then; come here."
Snapping open his chest panels and revealing the beautiful yet surprisingly soft glow of his spark, he pulled you close, allowing you to practically snuggle against the heat generating essence of his being.
"Sorry if this is weird... but it's warm, right?" he said quickly, aware of the awkward intimacy even if the situation was desperate. Being held so close allowed you to finally thaw after hours of exposure, and the feeling of life returning to your limbs was soothing enough to compel you to sigh. Cradling you tightly against his spark, Mirage sat back against the cave wall and relaxed at your increasingly less pallid complexion, returning to a more playful tone filled with affection. "My spark always runs hot, part of being an Outlier. I'll keep you close until the doc gets here. Least I can do for my little space heater."
Smiling back at the joke, you sighed once more and touched your hand to his spark, able to feel the soft hum soothing your aching body. As much as you still yearned for sleep, being so close gave you the strength to stay awake a little longer, the growing ease in his frame compelling you to keep going for both your sakes. A tender cupping of your face helped make you all the more certain that everything was going to be alright.
Mirage continued to encourage you, the devotion in his spark more than warm enough to keep the dark, frigid cold of the cave at bay. "You just keep getting nice and toasty. I've got you..."

Sometimes self love is drawing yourself with your comfort character. Which automatically means it isn’t cringe and you can draw whatever you want.
Unless it’s illegal, but that’s a given.
Anywhos, enjoy my self indulgent persona/Optimus cuddles. I’m actually getting better at drawing him thankfully! He’s my other major comfort character besides Starscream. HE WOULD SO TREAT YOU RIGHT BBG!
I love old men so much 💙

“I'd do whatever I could do”
Summary: Aventurine undergoes a bizarre transformation, reverting to his child form due to an inexplicable force. In this new, vulnerable state, he is found by Boothill, and you, who instinctively offers comfort and protection. Together, you three form an unlikely family, as Kakavasha, now a child, grapples with his new reality, experiencing innocence and care for the first time. Amid the chaos of the universe, they find brief solace in their newfound bond.

A/N: I'm half asleep while writing this so plz ignore any mistakes 😪
The warm glow of the sunset outside the IPC headquarters bathed the sterile interior in a soft, amber light. Aventurine leaned back in his chair, his fingers tracing the edges of the holographic charts laid out before him. The evening had been unusually quiet—until the unexpected wave of dizziness hit him.
"Not again..." Aventurine muttered under his breath, rubbing his temples as his vision blurred momentarily. He had always been one to trust his luck, but this felt… different. A strange sensation, something he couldn’t place, rolled through him like a tide. His body stiffened, a soft jolt running through his spine.
Before he could even register what was happening, the world around him began to warp. The walls seemed to shift, colors blending, and the floor seemed to fall away from beneath him. He gasped, feeling an overwhelming pull, and in a split second, his adult form began to shrink, his limbs dwindling down to a child’s size. His once confident stance faltered, replaced by a wobbly, unsteady posture.
Aventurine, now no longer the calculated and sophisticated man he had been moments ago, stood frozen in the middle of the room. His attire—elegant, composed—hung awkwardly around his much smaller frame, the fine materials pooling like a blanket on the floor. His golden-rimmed glasses fell from his face, and his typically calm and collected features now bore the unguarded innocence of a child.
The air was thick with confusion. Aventurine’s eyes—now large and wide—darted around in panic. His small hands trembled as he reached up to touch his now-short(?) hair. “What…?” he squeaked in a voice that was much higher than he had ever remembered it being.
Before he could further process what had happened, the door to his office slammed open, and in strode Boothill. The cyborg cowboy, tall and imposing, paused at the threshold when he saw what was unfolding before him. His mechanical eye whirred, analyzing the situation, his black pupils narrowing in confusion.
"Well, ain’t this somethin’," Boothill muttered, taking a step forward. His usual bravado faltered just a little as he looked down at the small, confused child now standing where Aventurine had once been. "Ain't no way I’m seein’ things right now..."
Aventurine—no, Baby Kakavasha—looked up at the towering cowboy. The child’s eyes were wide with fear, but there was also a glimmer of recognition. His lips parted as he searched for words, but none came.
Boothill stared at him for a long moment, his gloved hands hovering near his holstered guns as if unsure what to do next. “What in the galaxy is goin’ on here, kid?”
The air felt thick with tension. Baby Kakavasha took a hesitant step forward, his small voice trembling. “I—I don’t know,” he stammered, struggling with the unfamiliarity of his child’s body. “I didn’t do this. It wasn’t me.”
Boothill scratched his head, his mechanical parts creaking as he did so. “Kid, I ain't got the faintest clue what’s happenin', but one thing’s clear—you ain't lookin' like yourself. You a shape-shifter, or is this some kinda joke?”
“Please,” Kakavasha’s voice was softer now, more fragile than the usual sharp tone he carried as Aventurine. “Can you help me?”
Boothill exhaled slowly, his harsh features softening just a fraction. He wasn’t the sentimental type, but seeing this child—this version of Kakavasha—made his heart tug with an unfamiliar feeling. He took a step forward, crouching down to meet the small child’s gaze. “Alright, kid,” he said with a sigh. “Guess I’m gonna have to step up. I ain't got no clue how this happened, but you're not alone in this.”
Just then, the door to the room slid open again, and you stepped in. Your instincts kicked in immediately, and your brow furrowed at the sight before you. Aventurine, or rather, Baby Kakavasha, looked up at you with wide, uncertain eyes, his small body trembling in confusion.
Without hesitation, you approached him, kneeling beside the child. There was no explanation for why, but an overwhelming urge to protect him, to care for him, surged through you.
“Don’t worry,” you said gently, extending your arms to comfort him. “You’re safe now. I’ll take care of you.”
Boothill, watching the scene unfold, couldn't help but feel a sense of protectiveness welling up in his chest. “Guess that makes me your dad then,” he remarked dryly, scratching his head. “Ain't no way this is normal, but looks like we’re a family now.”
Kakavasha blinked at Boothill, still overwhelmed by the bizarre circumstances. “Father?” he echoed, testing the word on his lips. His expression was a mix of confusion and surprise, but also... curiosity. “You’re... my dad?”
“Yeah, you heard me right. I’m your old man now,” Boothill said with a smirk, though there was a softness in his voice that he didn’t usually show. "Ain't that somethin’, kid?"
Kakavasha took a moment to absorb the idea, his little mind scrambling to make sense of the situation. His usual sharp wit was clouded by the childlike innocence that had taken over his demeanor. “So, uh... does this mean I can have cookies for breakfast now?” he asked, his small voice high-pitched but filled with a strange, hopeful tone.
Boothill blinked. "Well, uh... sure, kid. Why not?" He shook his head in bemusement. "You're supposed to be some kinda stone-cold strategist, and now you're askin' about cookies."
Kakavasha grinned widely, the simplicity of the question almost making the chaos around them feel a little more manageable. “Maybe... maybe we can even get ice cream after dinner!” he added, his face lighting up at the thought.
Boothill snorted, leaning back on his heels. “This whole thing’s a mess, kid, but sure. Ice cream it is.” He shot a glance at you. “You’re okay with that, right? I mean, we're a family now... I think?”
You chuckled softly at the absurdity of it all. "Sure, ice cream sounds good. After all, you’ve got to ease into being a kid again, right?"
Kakavasha looked up at both of you, his expression shifting from bewilderment to something softer, warmer. Despite the situation being entirely out of his control, there was a sense of comfort slowly building in him. Maybe, just maybe, this odd, unexpected family would be able to piece together a bit of stability, even if only for a moment.
“Thank you,” Kakavasha whispered, his voice now tinged with gratitude. “I... I don’t know what happened, but... I feel like I’m not alone anymore.”
Boothill’s face softened, just a little, as he placed a hand on Kakavasha’s small shoulder. “You’re not alone, kid. No matter what happens, we’ve got each other.”
The improbable new family stood there for a moment, in the midst of the swirling chaos, unsure of how or why this all came to be. But for now, Kakavasha was no longer a vengeful adult filled with hatred. He was simply a child, embraced by a new, unlikely mother and a cyborg cowboy who, in this strange turn of fate, had somehow become his father.
And for a brief, fleeting moment, the chaos of the universe outside seemed to fade away as they stood together, a family of three, with Kakavasha’s small hand resting gently in Boothill’s rough palm. The game of life had thrown them a curveball, but for now, they would face it as one.
The dawn would come for them eventually. But for now, they had each other. And cookies. And ice cream.

Shockwave ♤ Kiss The Spark
Might be my last TFP X Reader one-shot I'm dropping for now. I've got several other one-shots and even a full book that was in the works, but whenever I'll finish any, I have no idea.
[TL;DR] You really do be worrying your beloved cyclops scientist with the risks you take. And he finds it illogical.
Tumblr media
♤ ~ Comfort ~ ♤
It was a lazy day for the two of you. Megatron was busy leading the Decepticon cause, as usual, and left Shockwave to his tools. Said mech was trying to work on basically recreating a predacon while you were watching him. It did make him a little uncomfortable with how you were basically staring at him, but he would never out right say it.
You were just supposed to be a random human he could study and experiment on after you were kidnapped by Knockout months ago. But now you were the lover of the warship's scientist. Basically his Conjunx Endura, and he did show some affection towards you while feeling some sort of emotion despite having undergone shadowplay. At first it felt like you were treated like a pet, which you technically were in the Decepticon's optic, but it was obvious he was lying to himself over time as you began to worm your way into his spark.
Despite the months of love and care, he slowly started neglecting you due to the cause being his main priority. Sure, he did give you food and your own box corner that felt like a small apartment, but his affection towards you decreased and you were missing it. You were missing the freetime you had and spent simply roaming around the Nevada desert whenever you landed. You wanted to relive that.
"Hey, Shocky?" He didn't bother turning around to face you as he continued working, not answering. But you knew he was listening. "When do you have time to hang out again?" You asked with a hopeful gaze at the back of his helm.
He ceased his movements for a moment, turned his optic toward you and said, "Most likely when I am finished with this project. I do not know how long it will take. It would be most logical of you to simply wait."
You frowned at his response and started to make your way towards the door. "Oh, okay... I'll leave you to it then..." The giant metal doors slid opened for you and closed once you passed the threshold. Shockwave knew you left but didn't bother stopping you as the project took priority. However, that doesn't mean he didn't feel more empty when you were out of the room.
And it finally seemed too much after two agonizing hours of not having you around him. He told himself he would do a quick check-up on you to ensure you were all fine. So, he left the project on his table before making his way to the bridge where he knew Soundwave would possibly still be with you.
Unsurprisingly, he was right. Well, half right. Soundwave was at the bridge, but you were nowhere to be found. Of course there had to be a reason for it, and who would know better than the slender mech himself. "Soundwave," the cyclops started as he approached the other working Decepticon, "where is (Y/N)?"
The TIC ceased his movements before typing away again, revealing groundbridge coordinates on the screen. The coordinates seemed to lead into town, close to a few stores but far away enough for a small groundbridge to go undetected. Soundwave turned his helm towards the mech behind him as he slightly lifted a servo at the screen to point at it. Shockwave gave him a puzzled look- Or at least as puzzled as one could look with a single optic for a faceplate. "Why did you send them there?"
Instead of answering with more movements, Soundwave decided to simply play a voice clip he recorded of you in your own words. "Hey, Sounders, could I maybe go to town? I need to see if I can buy some material for [...]. I know it sounds weird, but hear me out-" The audio abruptly cut of before you could explain any further. And there was information missing, most likely to keep whatever you were planning a secret from the scientist. It seemed illogical for you to be plotting something behind his back however. Thus he didn't question the TIC any further about the audio.
"When will they return?" Soundwave played another clip in response, "I'll call you when I got everything, alright? Shouldn't take more than two hours max."
And as if on cue, a sudden personalized ringtone rang out on the bridge with an image of you on the screen. Their optics glanced at the screen before Soundwave answered the call. You sounded like you were out of breath. And Shockwave was able to feel your anxiety through your bond.
"H-Heya, Sounders!" You dramatically exhaled a large portion of air before continuing in a rather quick way. "Please don't tell Shocky, but I kinda ran into some trouble and am being chased by a gang with weapons. I managed to escape unscathed, but I sadly didn't get some other things." You took another deep breath. "And as much as I wanna grab some extras, I don't think I'd be alive on my way back if I did that. At least I got enough for one."
As both mechs became concerned, Shockwave decided to speak up. "(Y/N), are you in a safe location? Do you require a groundbridge immediately?"
The voice caught you by surprise, but you were also a little relieved to hear him. "I-I'm not far enough from people yet. I'm across the street from the gang right now and they seem to have lost me. But there's an alleyway here." You then proceeded to walk down the dark alley. "I don't think there's a second gang in here so I should be-" You cut yourself off as you looked behind you with wide eyes. The fear you gave off reached the scientist instantly.
"(Y/N)? Are you alright? What happened?" Your sudden silence made them even more worried. The silence wasn't there for long though as harsh winds clashed with your phone, indicating that you were running.
"They found me! I-I can't run any longer! My bags are- are slowing me down! And they want my bags and my money! But I need them! And whAT THE FUCK- WHY?!"
Turns out the alley had a deadend.
The two mechs could faintly hear one guy say something, but it was inaudible. But they could hear one who was closer. "You're right. Why should we just take their belongings if we could have some fun with them as extra?"
While the cyclops was able to feel your hopeless anxiety already, the call managed to catch the sounds of your sniffles. You hiccuped as you whispered into your phone, "I need you, Shockwave." You usually weren't scared of most things- Hell, you made a giant alien robot fall in love with you and managed to befriend others on the warship, deeming them as family! And they wanted to cyberform the earth! But being in this situation, alone, far away from your family, with just some useless things you bought... It scared you.
And this was something that truly angered Shockwave for once. The fact that you used his actual name instead of a nickname told him how trapped you truly felt.
It sent him over the edge.
"Soundwave. Groundbridge to their coordinates. Now", he commanded firmly.
The masked mech, despite being kind of surprised by the taller mech's sudden show of emotions, did as he was told. The scientist didn't waste time in running towards the now open swirly green portal. He didn't even bother transforming and using his holoform.
These humans deserved to suffer.
By his true form's servos.
You were backed up into the deadend when you noticed a familiar green light pop up behind you. Out of instinct you moved aside as the gang stared at it, not knowing if this were special effects to scare them off. That's when you saw Shockwave step out of the portal. He took a moment to take in his surroundings before spotting you next to his pedes, shivering from shock, but still smiling up at him with teary eyes. "H-Hi, hun..."
"Go home, sweetspark. I'll meet you there."
He said. Then he watched as you somewhat clumsily sprinted through the groundbridge, two bags in hand, before he turned back towards the group of humans.
"It would be illogical of me not to dispose of lifeforms that pose a threat to my sparkmate."
What was mercy? In that moment, he couldn't recall.
While waiting, you were next to Soundwave, being comforted by his tendrils as you held onto one like a big teddy bear. Your bags were sitting behind you. Shockwave finally returned a few minutes later, groundbridge closing behind him. His servo and pedes were completely bloody. You also spotted a bit of blood on the rest of his frame- even a tiny bit on the side of his helm. He walked up to your still slightly shaken form. "Did they harm them in any way?" He asked the other mech, who previously ran a scan on you as safety precaution.
Soundwave responded with a simple "Negative" audio as he retracted his tendrils from you, now that your biggest comfort was here. You reluctantly let go of the tendril when a servo gently wrapped itself around you instead, picking you up. The purple mech didn't say another word to the shorter mech and simply walked off, all the while placing you on his shoulder pad. Sure, you were now a little bloody too, but you could just wash your clothes. While Shockwave felt the comforting relief through your bond, he still was upset about your reckless logic.
"You left the ship without my authorization or knowledge." Most would view his monotone yet commanding voice as a sign of pure anger, but you knew that he was actually worried sick.
"B-But I-" "You could have been hurt and I would not have been able to protect you. From now on, you are to stay on the warship if I'm.not accompanying you", he stated firmly, placing you on the table and coldly turning away towards his project.
Now that you were finally back in the lab, he wouldn't need to worry about you being hurt anymore, despite his spark not wanting to shut up about the slight bit of worry. However, due to you still being upset about the previous situation, you couldn't help but tear up again. You honestly didn't mean to make him mad and worried. He could feel it.
"I-I'm so s-sorry", you whispered as you hiccuped. "I-I just w-wanted to make y-you a gift..."
This caught the scientist's attention as his ear fins moved. A gift... for him? You went through the lengths of sneaking out(, despite Soundwave's knowledge of course), going to town alone, and running away from a street gang... just to make him a gift? So, naturally he demanded for an explanation for this stunt you tried to do.
You pulled your bags closer to your body as you sniffled, rummaging through one of them. "I-I bought materials f-for a self-made gift..." You then pulled out some purple fabric from the bag. Almost the same shade of purple as his frame. "I-It was supposed to be a plush toy version... of you..." A small, sheepish smile made its way onto your lips. The tears may have stopped flowing, but you still didn't feel quite comfortable in what you were presenting him. It wasn't even finished, after all. And you weren't even sure if he would like it.
"Giving me a toy version of myself is illogical." For a second, a frown replaced your smile. Thinking he didn't like the idea, you slowly starting lowering your arm in disappointment, wanting to put the fabric away again so he wouldn't have to see it.
"O-Oh, sorry... I thought-" "But, I appreciate the sentiment", Shockwave quickly added as he approached you with his servo. One digit gently trailed up and down your arm in a comforting manner. "You may still continue creating it. I am not stopping you." Him using a gentler, lower tone made you smile again. You wrapped your arms around his digit and lightly cuddled into it, saying a small "Thanks" in return.
You swore your Conjunx's optic was glowing brighter than usual.
You managed to craft a rather big plush version of Shockwave. You were able to wrap both of your arms around it and cuddle with it like a big stuffed animal. It was still severely small in the scientist's optic, but he refused to handle it any less gentle than you when picking it up. It was so much softer than you, which amazed him.
A few days after you finished up the plushie, Shockwave asked you to wait for him in his habsuite.
Turns out he wanted you to touch his spark again. It's been a long time since you've last done so, which was when you became Conjunx Endura just a couple of months ago. And due to the bond mostly being a one-sided receiving one, he wanted to show you how much he appreciated you in his life. And touching his spark was the only way for you to receive his side of the bond.
You're the only one he's ever shown his spark to in such an intimate light. And you could feel how much he adored having you be this close to him, touching the very culmination of his being ever so gently. You even gave his spark some light kisses, making him ex-vent.
Content with your moment together, he gently positioned his servo against your small back, pulling you a little closer down onto his chassis.
He wouldn't trade you for anything, not even his loyalty to Megatron and the Decepticon cause.

"Don't touch her!" Dean's voice roared, soon followed by the sound of shuffling as he grunted in pain.
"Shut up." A voice you didn't recognize demanded; it was soft, breathy.
"She's awake." The voice of the witch you had met called out. You could feel her hand's wiping the tears off your face, a soft tut from her lips. "Your little friend here sure is protective, isn't he? Knocked out about half my coven when he realized we had you." Her head tilted to the side, a ghost of a smile on her lips. You could hear Dean shouting, but his voice was muffled as if they had covered his mouth.
"Where is he?" You murmured, voice dangerous as you shook your head from her hand. "What did you do to him? To Sam?" Your eyes opened, struggling to gain sight as you looked at the brunette witch angrily. Her eyes brightened as you looked at her, smug smile widening, as if you finally looking at her made the situation so much more worth it.
"Relax," she murmured, her grip tightening on your chin as though testing your resolve. The chill of her fingers felt deadly. "I haven’t touched them. My friends, though..." Her tone was sickly sweet.
You fought to pull your head away, a growl of rage building in your throat. Her nails dug into your chin, pain shot through your jaw, but it was nothing compared to the helplessness gripping your chest. All you wanted to do was get out, to rush to Dean, to help him.
You could feel the tight ropes around your form cut into your flesh as you struggled. Jaw clenching in pain, you looked around, finally noticing the small coven of witches surrounding you. They had strapped you to a tree, ashes surrounding the area you were restrained in. It looked as if you were in a forest, the few torches held by some of the witches illuminated the area. The light revealed that they had removed any trees from beside you, the spot seemed naked compared to the dense forest surrounding you.
Somehow, they had positioned you to be hit by rays of moonlight, your eyes narrowing as you took in each witch. Two with brown hair, one blonde, one red head, and another with...you frowned, was that blue hair? You had heard stories about women with blue hair, so you made sure to constantly check her position. Just to be safe.
"Sweetheart." Dean spoke, voice muffled. You could barely understand him.
"You alright?" Sam called out to you. He sounded close, like he was behind you. Despite how you tossed and turned against the stinging rope around you, it gave no leeway. With a sigh, you surrendered that you wouldn't be able to see your friends.
"I'm fine. What about you two?"
"We're fine, took a little bit of a beating." Sam contributed, trying to provide some form of reassurance that they were alright.
"Yes, yes. They're alright." The brunette witch who stood beside you cooed out. She stepped in front of you, a predatory smile on her lips as she cupped your face. "You and I, my dear, are going to be great friends." You tried to rip your head from her grasp, but her hand held you tight, her nails digging into your flesh. Snapping her fingers, she held her other hand out, beckoning the red-haired witch who held a small stone bowl.
Rushing forward, the red-haired woman hesitantly stepped into the circle, extending the bowl of dark red liquid to the one who held your face. Releasing you with an aggressive shake of your chin, she dipped her hand into the red liquid. Her freehand reached down, ripping your sweater neck just enough to reveal your collarbones.
"Sorry about that, my dear." The woman half-heartedly apologized, clearly not caring that she ripped your favorite hoodie. The way she talked to you was too sweet, too predatory. It was like she imagined you two to be close friends. In reality, you were a stranger she had kidnapped. You tried to struggle, to get away, legs kicking against the tree. Despite your thrashing, the ropes held you in place as she slid her red painted thumb along the center of your collarbone and upper sternum bone. You looked down, watching as she painted a crescent moon into your skin. It burned, why in hell did it burn? It felt like the liquid was seeping into your skin, into your soul.
You could hear the rustling of Dean against his own ropes as the witch touched you, withdrawing her hand with a satisfied hum. The metallic smell of the liquid wafted to your nose, clearly having been exposed to air. You recognized the scent as blood.
"We've aged this one for as long as we could." The brunette witch chuckled as she withdrew her hand. "If we knew someone as.... miraculous... as you would be coming to town, we would've prepped better." She cooed to you, a pleased look in her eye as she looked over you. In this moment, you felt like a deer she was hunting.
"What are you talking about?" You scoffed, watching as she reached into her back pocket. You weren't anything, you were just…you.
"Oh, don't play dumb." The witch laughed, eye’s narrowing in disapproval. "I feel the anger buried deep down in you. You're such an angry soul, my dear. That's what we've been looking for-" She pulled out a dark stone blade, a stone you recognized as Obsidian. You had only ever seen an obsidian-based blade once. Dean had been telling you about his time in purgatory one evening and he had pulled it out, letting you hold it as he described what he experienced.
You tensed as she brought it to your skin, gently tracing your jaw with a grin. "All we need is for you to cry, my dear."
You snorted, remaining strong as you glared at her. "Oh, fuck off. Damn fuckin-" The sound of Dean grunting as someone slapped him interrupted you. Instantly, you thrashed around, your body responding. You had to get out, to help him. You didn't know what they were planning, you like hell you’d let Dean get hurt because of you.
With a sigh at the lack of tears in your eyes, the brunette-haired woman shook her head. "Have it your way." Her hands rose to the sky, the other witches followed her actions, stepping away to create distance between them and the ash circle that surrounded you.
"By blood betrayed and moon's cold light," the coven of witches chanted, gaze on the moon. "We call forth fury, endless night." The searing pain in your limbs you had forgotten about returned. This time, however, it wasn't just pain. Your limbs felt as if they were growing, the ropes digging into your skin failed to provide leeway for you. They tore into your skin, forcing your growing limbs to remain in place. Your head fell back against the tree in pain, teeth clenched as your mind fell blank. The only thing you could focus on was the growing and twisting of your limbs.
"Ash to flesh, beast to bone." Pained tears sprung to your eyes as you felt your nails fuse with your fingers, extending longer than they should've. The brunette witch reached up, wiping the tears of your pain away as she ran the blade into a spot above your collarbone, drawing a small amount of blood. Mixing her thumb stained with your tears into the cut, she stepped away, joining the other witches outside the ash circle.
"Let rage consume and claim her throne. Under the moon, her wrath ignites. Transform her soul to wraith of night." You felt the anger you fought so hard to repress and ignore bubble to the surface, sweat coating your face as your mouth fell open, releasing a deep, pained shout that echoed into a high-pitched scream. A scream humans shouldn’t be able to make.
......
Everything stilled around you, eyes slammed shut from pain. It no longer felt like you were in the stability of the forest. The floor beneath you was gone and your body felt as if it was floating in nothingness. When relief finally came to the pain you endured, you opened your eyes. You expected to see witches, to see forest. However, in front of your eyes was nothing but pure darkness. The feeling of being trapped resided deep within you despite how the darkness looked never ending. You were almost certain that if you started walking in one direction, you'd never reach the end.
"Hello?" You called out, taking a hesitant step. Surprise flooded you as you realized you were no longer restrained, the tree you had been held against was gone. "Dean?"
Soft sniffling filled the area, the sound of someone crying caught your attention. With an unsure stride, you moved forward until you found a young girl, most likely early teens, huddled in on herself as she cried. You watched her for the second, a slight sense of recognition filling even though you haven't seen her face. Something about her attire was just so familiar. With a hesitant inhale, you moved closer, dropping to your knee as you extended a hand towards her.
"Are you alright?" You asked her, voice sincere. Your hand landed on her back, gently directing her to look at you.
The girl didn't respond, her eyes meeting yours as tears streamed down her face. Soon, you found yourself crying as well. Your eyes widened in shock as you stumbled back. This...she...what the hell was going on? Your hand rose to your face, wiping away a stream of tears. Her eye color, her face, her hair, everything. She looked exactly like you.
"Was it my fault?" She asked, and, within the blink of an eye, you were the one huddled in on yourself, crying as you held your legs to your chest. The girl was gone and now it was only you.
......
"Sweetheart," Dean's voice called to you, drawing you back into the world. You could feel the hard ground of the forest under your legs as well as the sound of bird's chirping. You could feel the warmth of his arms wrap around your waist, pulling you close as your eyes slowly refocused, tears streaming down your face as you looked at him. After a minute, you could finally make out the features of his face. Pain evident in his expression as well as relief. He lifted a hand to your face, cupping your cheek. "There you are." He murmured, green eyes focused on you. His face was coated in bruises and splotches of blood scrunched, when on earth had he gotten hurt that badly? His eyebrows were scrunched in concern as he looked over you. Your limbs still ached; your fingers felt as if they were jammed. The pastel dawn light of the morning caught your attention, how long had you been out? Your face hurt like hell, specifically your jaw. It felt as if you had overused it.
"What...?" You asked, voice hoarse as if you had been screaming the entire night. "What happened?" You croaked out, tears still streaming down your face. "Where's Sam?" You asked, growing concerned as you tried to look around.
Blood.
Blood coated the trees, the floor. The only sign the witches had ever been there were the clawed remains of them. Oh, God. What had happened? Before you could get a better look, before you could see what really happened, Dean pulled your face back, forcing you to look at him.
"Don't worry about what happened." Dean told you, keeping your gaze on him as you felt a pit in your stomach. Deep down, you knew what had happened. You were no longer tied to the tree and the witches…the women…were dead. "Sam's alright. He went to fetch baby."
You sucked in a shuddering breath, glancing down at your blood-soaked hands. What have you done? Tears sprung to your eyes. They spoke of anguish, pain, regret. Regret for something you had no recollection of committing but felt you had done. The lingering stinging from your limbs growing remained in your joints, even if they were back to their normal size. You had no recollection of that night and that terrified you. Your body was heavy, exhausted. It wanted to shut down on you, to rest.
"Dean..." You started, voice cracking as a sob wracked your body, "What did I do?"
"Nothing." He countered, "You didn't do anything." He pulled you close, letting you bury your face into his chest as you cried. It was a lie; Dean knew it was. The memory of your disfigured form ripping witch after witch apart ghosted his mind.  Whatever those bitches had turned you into. That wasn't you. He refused to let you think this was your fault, that...he sighed softly, burying his chin against your head as he ran a hand soothingly along your back. Dean recalled the claws you had adorned, the boney elongated limbs that cracked and snapped with every movement you had made. The hollowness to your face.
His arms tightened around you in relief, he was glad to have you back. Even if it meant a claw wound to the abdomen.
"I've got you." He murmured, grip tightening. Dean frowned, unsure of what to say. Could he really have made the situation better just by saying something? Part of him said yes, that all you needed was a good joke. You loved jokes. However, he knew this was something that a joke wouldn't fix.

Hello there!
Could I request a Ratchet x fem!Human!Reader (mid 20s), where he's sort of like her guardian (and perhaps there's unspoken, relucant feelings between the two) where she ends up in a sort of sketchy situation at a party, and he shows up to rescue her.
It's all the more touching because he still has reservations about humans, but he uses his holoform to go inside and get her, and then drives her back to base.
Hope you have a good day!
A/N: I wanted to do a scenario for this, which is why it took so long, but I hope you like it
“Call me if you need me to come get you” Ratchet said.
“I will, but I’m sure I’ll get home on my own” you assured him as you left, waving him goodbye from the front seat.
Bee dropped you off at the party before going on patrol, and you met up with a couple of your friends. The music was good, and so was most of the company. There were always some idiots around, but you luckily didn’t run into too many of those. You were dancing and drinking with your friends, just having a good time.
You were always very careful with your drinks, never taking one from someone you didn’t know and never, ever leaving your drink unwatched. Even with the precautions you took, someone managed to slip something into your drink. You started feeling a bit odd, and at first you just figured you’d had too much to drink, but soon it became apparent that something was wrong.
You were starting to feel woozy and unsteady, and on top of that your friends were nowhere to be seen. You poured the rest of your drink into the closest houseplant’s pot and started trying to make your way outside. Even though you were bumping into people, no one really seemed to notice what a bad state you were in.
You got outside and managed to get your phone out of your pocket. You dialed Ratchet, and managed to mumble something about needing him to come get you.
When you called Ratchet, he was sure you were going to tell him something like: “It’s cold outside, can you take me home?” so when he heard your slurred words and the fear in your voice, he was surprised.
“What’s wrong? What happened?” he asked, sounding much more frantic than he meant to.
“I-I think sssome-somehone spiked myh drink” you slurred.
“Stay put, I’ll come get you” Ratchet said, already leaving the base.
He didn’t give a second thought to any of the speed limit signs he sped past on the way to get you. He tried to keep calm, but he was aware of the implications of what you being spiked meant, someone wanted to do you harm.
You were standing outside, leaning on the wall of the house, feeling increasingly worse, when two guys came up to you, trying to hit on you. You didn’t want any of what they were clearly offering, so you started stumbling back inside, hoping to find some safety with your friends. They were nowhere to be seen, and the two guys were still following you. You decided you would lock yourself in the bathroom to get away from these jackasses.
Ratchet almost jumped out in his holoform before he had even stopped, and hurried to the front door of the house where the party was being held. He started calling out your name, but the music was too loud, and he was quite sure that even if you were able to answer, you wouldn’t have been able to hear him. He didn’t know if he could search the whole house with so many people there, not efficiently anyway.
“Damn it” Ratchet muttered.
Then he had an idea. Luckily, the house was on the corner of an intersection, so he drove to the side of the house and blared his sirens as loud as possible, hoping the people inside would mistake it for a police siren. Thank Primus they did. He could hear some people yelling “it’s the cops!” before people started running in all directions away from the house. He jogged back to the house and went inside to look for you. You had no reason to run away from the cops since you were of age, so you could drink whatever you wanted in peace.
Ratchet checked the downstairs first, but there was no sign of you. He then moved upstairs and started going through the rooms, no sign of you there either. He was starting to get increasingly worried. When he came back downstairs, he noticed a room he hadn’t checked yet, it was a bathroom, and it was locked.
“(Name)? Are you in there?” he asked as he knocked.
“Ratchhh?” came a barely coherent response.
“Can you open the door?” Ratchet asked, thinking he might have to kick it down, which would not be ideal.
He could hear movement and the lock clicked and he pulled the door open. You almost fell face first on the floor of the hallway, but Ratchet managed to catch you just in time.
“Oh sweetspark” he muttered as you clung to his shirt. “Can you walk?”
“No…” you mumbled.
Ratchet picked you up with very little effort and started carrying you out of the house. He wasn’t sure if he should take you to a hospital, or to just let you sleep it off. He could feel the remaining party guests’ eyes on him as he carried you out of the house, but he couldn’t care less.
You felt like absolutely crap. You were so out of it, you could barely even stand, but when Ratchet picked you up, you felt a little bit less like crap. You felt safe in his arms, and you were too out of it to feel embarrassed about him holding you or about the way you clung to his shirt. You registered him carrying you out of the house, mostly because of the cool air that made you shiver and snuggle even closer to his chest in search of warmth. The cold air helped you sober up a little bit, and you felt more awake.
Ratchet wasn’t thinking about anything but helping you. No matter how much you held onto him, he was just trying to take care of you, nothing more, right? He decided to take you to the base and look after you himself.
You didn’t pass out, even though you definitely felt like you might a couple of times. By some miracle you didn’t throw up either and when you finally found yourself on the base’s couch, you just wanted to go to sleep.
“Thankhs, I love you” you muttered as you laid down on the couch.
Ratchet didn’t say anything, he just placed a blanket over you and watched you curl up under it. He didn’t register your words right away, so he realized what you’d said with a bit of a time lag. A soft smile came across his face as he looked at your sleeping form on the couch. You probably wouldn’t remember what you’d said when you woke up, but it still meant the world to him. Maybe someday he’d have the courage to say it back.

Hello! Do you still write for Tfp/Transformers Prime? If so, I have a request!
Maybe ‘cons reacting to reader dealing with a person that caused a lot of childhood trauma? If this is something that makes you uncomfortable, feel free to ignore it!! I just am dealing with a person who wasn’t the greatest to me as a kid and would really like some headcanon comfort <3
again, feel free to ignore and remember to take care of yourself!
of course! thanks so much for the request, darlin’! I hope you are doing well and my DMs are open if you ever need to talk. 💛
Megatron
-He knows. He knows how it feels to be scorned in your youth. He knows how much you hurt. He also knows that he wouldn’t be the best at comforting you, so he provides a distraction. -Every time you come to him an anxious, frustrated mess because of them, he takes you to stargaze or to read or just sit on the top of the ship in peace. -Megatron entertains you will tales of when he was younger, fighting for the freedoms he still believes in. You know he’s been hurt too and there’s a comfort in knowing you both still are yet to move on from that past, and that’s okay. You’ll confront it when you are stronger.
Starscream
-He’s not…the best at comforting people. But he is angry. So angry. Why would anyone hurt you? Especially when you were so small? He’s felt small every day of his life, he can’t imagine what sort of monster does that to a sparkling.
-Honestly, he turns into an outlet for your rage. Want to scratch something up? He finds things for you to break, things for you to throw. It's not the most healthy, but when has anything he ever done been?
-When all your anger has been exhausted, he just sits with you. That helps more, and he knows that, but he won't say anything. And that's okay.
Knockout
-Out of all the cons I think he would be the most helpful. He pampers you, taking you on long drives and god-awful drive-in movies to distract you. He's also willing to just listen to you vent to him while he's working in the medbay.
-If the harmful person comes back, you can bet he's got his saw blade out and will not hesitate to bring them down. He provides you with a free escape ride if you are ever in an uncomfortable situation.
-He is always, always ready to shower you with compliments, especially when he picks up that you've had a bad day. And if you don't feel like telling him what's going on, he will distract you with the randomest stories about himself. It always makes you laugh.
Breakdown
-You better believe that this guy's got hugs for days for you. After many, many, many threats to whomever is hurting you, he sits with you and listens to you vent.
-His attempts at reassuring comments aren't the best, but he tries. He'd much rather go pound the jerk to dust, though.
-He somehow smuggles a shitload of chocolate and ice cream up to the Nemesis for you. Most of the ice cream melts before you can eat it, but it is still delicious.
Arachnid
-The person who is hurting you is never seen or heard from again :)
-You don't mention it and neither does she.
Soundwave
-You better believe that you will never go anywhere near your abuser again. He keeps tabs on them, removing you from anywhere within a 5-mile radius of them. If you do happen to meet them, he is sending Laserbeak and they have roasted limbs from lasers.
-Records everything you say they did and privately keeps it just in case. Not to blackmail them or to send them to the police, of course.
-Lets you play with Laserbeak and pulls up comforting and funny videos to watch with you. He is as silent as ever, but that doesn't change the fact that he cares about you.
Dreadwing
-He pretty much becomes your personal bodyguard. It's a little strange at first, but you get used to his presence and sweet insistence in accompanying you everywhere, especially if you encounter your abuser.
-You can bet that if anything ever happens again with that person, they will go down in a firey explosion orchestrated by his own hand.
-Sucks at speaking to you (about anything, really. he's so stiff.), but when he cleans his weapons, he is happy to listen to you.
Shockwave
-Ah yes, Mr. no emotions. He tries...I think. He'd rather give you some weapon of mass destruction than listen to you detail all of your abuse. I mean, it's a solution, I guess.
-He makes you watch the seekers to learn self-defense and also read some Cybertronian literature on battle tactics.
-At least you can punch now and use poisons?
Predaking
-After learning what had happened to you, he refuses to let you leave his side for weeks. He cares for you and distracts you by terrorizing Starscream on the ship.
-Eventually, though, he accompanies you to meet with the abuser. You talk with them for a bit before he comes crashing down in his dragon form, scaring them into oblivion.
-It felt really good.

What do we think about Rodimus adopting a lil human in secret on the LL, but Drift discovers it and tells Ratchet? And all three o them just look blankly at the human (that doesn't understand what's going on ofc ofc)?
Thank uuu <3
Hi Bee,
Hear me out.
The human he brings aboard the lost light that doesn’t know whats going on is actually cyberronian and a baby.
The found them crying next to their offline creators and couldn’t just leave them there. He was going to tell police officials but when he picked the fresh bitty up and they stopped crying. Reaching out and gripping his chassis and digit whimpering for him, he just couldn’t bare to part with them.
Sooo he snuck them on board and let the ship take off.
Of course he told officials about the bitty’s creators and told Prowl in secret what he’d done and that he wasn’t giving the bitty up. Prowl can honestly say he’s never actually heard Rodimus sound threatening and he admired it before putting official documents in stating Rodimus was the sparklings caregiver now before sending them to him and hanging up.
Rodimus was entirely pleased with himself and more than happy to get started on bathing the dirty bitty that wasn’t old enough to have plating on their exposed protoform. He learned the bitty was a little mecha and so as he had them wrapped in a soft warmer against his chassis he had to figure out a name and get a bitty berth installed.
He wasn’t entirely out of his league here since he used to caretake for orphanages on Nyon. He knew what sparklings needed and their development. So he knew this was a fresh spark that wouldn’t be able to be away from him for a long time since the connection with his creators was severed so early in life.
Of course..in all his plannings he forgot to tell his crew and co captain…who just so happened to walk into his hab with Minimus and stare at the sparkling with open jaws and he immediately had to explain the situation.
“So you weren’t carrying this whole time and popped out a sparkling on a dangerous mission?”
“No I’m not an idiot!”
He looked extremely offended and felt it too which upset the sparkling almost pulling them from recharge if it weren’t for him calming them down.
“I got the paperwork and everything. I got attached…don’t look at me like that Mins! I’m not popping out a sparkling!”
The smug look on the mini turbo fox face plates and his co captains was pissing him off.
Just because he was a carrier mech did not mean he would go following his coding and pop out bitlets.
He was destined for greater things than being a broodmare! He said as much too.
“Rodimus its not meant like that. Carriers just-”
“I don’t wanna hear it,” he was genuinely upset but trying not to take it out on them since they didn’t do anything wrong. He was just sensitive about his coding and frame.
“I’d like some time off from being in public to get a better bond with them and get all the supplies I need. I’ll do all my paperwork here. I’ll keep my comm open as well.”
He ushered them out after letting Minimus hold his sparkling who began to fuss but didn’t cry.
“Lets get you some panel wraps and bottles annndd I’m gonna need to find you a crib…and a name.”
The bitty just kept sucking on their hand and he was off to find such things in the storage rooms while the dead shift was at its quietest time.
He managed to luck out on getting multiple blankets and an abundance of reusable panel wrappers. He’d brought those things back to his hab and set them on a gentle wash in his cleaning closet before heading back out to find a crib and clothes and some bottles.
He was yet again lucky in his search. Finding bottles, clothes and even a few pacifiers along with a stuffed fox that looked suspiciously like Minimus handy work made him smile. He’d have to thank his friend for leaving this here for him.
He was bummed he couldn’t find a crib but he had everything else he needed and he decided to enjoy the win. He’d gotten everything clean and settled when the bitty began to fuss and he knew immediately what time it was.
“I’m gonna fix a bottle. I know, I know. You’re hungry its okay,” he soothed to the upset sparkling.
He felt his chassis growing tight and he groaned looking down at the shifted plating to the still unfinished diluted energon meant for sparklings. He wasn’t about to make his sparkling wait an hour for fuel that wouldn’t be half as good as what his frame decided to make against his wishes.
So with a final groan and a hope for his luck to continue and his sparkling not getting attached to this form of feeding, he unclasped his chassis and let his breast mesh free. They were already filling with milk and he grimaced at how natural it all felt.
He didn’t like being a carrier but he wasn’t going to let that get in the way of feeding his sparkling.
With that line running through his mind, he held his sparkling up to his nozzle and allowed them to turn their helm crying until eventually they smelled him and the energon his frame was building before opening teary optics and latching on.
The first few suckles felt weird but eventually he felt the milk begin to release and his sparkling was greedily suckling blinking the tears from their optics.
Rodimus didn’t want to admit how close and connected he felt to the fresh bitty letting them drink from him.
He’d always had a problem with being a carrier and few mechs knew that he was and all that did knew by accident. It was something he liked pretending he wasn’t but that was extremely hard to do when a bitty was nursing from his mesh.
He sighed and looked to the bottles on the drying rack and figured he might as well try organizing his hab and bitty proofing it.
By the time he was done, the bitty was finished nursing and he was burping them. They’d fallen to recharge immediately and he smiled looking down at them. They were tiny, even for a new sparkling they were tiny. He was going to comm First aid to come to his hab in the morning so he could get them fully examined.
Carrier instincts would’ve alerted him if something was wrong with a sparkling even if they weren’t his own. But he wanted to be completely sure.
He laid the sparkling on his lap and began squeezing the rest of his milk into a bottle.
He’d have to find a crib and milk pump the next time he went to the storage rooms.
He stood and held the sparkling to his breast mesh that was still too tender to close his chassis over. He really hoped his bitty would take a bottle and not his nozzles and that his milk could be turned off when he called First aid.
He laid in his berth, nest fresh courtesy of Ratchet and Drift who were on took an extra, with a servo on the bitty thinking of possible names when he felt his optics almost slip closed until panic gripped him.
“Frag I didn’t tell them I adopted a bitty…”
Recharge was not exactly restful due to his nerves and waking a few hours later to the bitty whimpering wanting milk was something that stole his attention from Drift and Ratchets reactions.
He’d tried getting the bitty to take the sparkling fuel he’d put on earlier but the bitty hollered energon murder and he sighed lowering his helmet trying to suppress tears.
He’d lowered them to his nozzle and they immediately gripped on. He looked to the warm energon bottle and picked it up slipping it into the bitties mouth only for them to spit it out and spit up the milk.
It took over ten minutes to calm them down before deciding never to do that again and just accept he would have to feed from his nozzles.
The bitty gave a little glare at him with blue optics that looked so much like Drift and Ratchets when he did something to endanger himself he smiled a little making the bitty giggle.
It was spark warming and asserted that he made the right decision in keeping them.
“Your gonna be trouble aren’t ya lil mecha,” he cooed, cleaning himself and the bitty while allowing them to drink. He’d put the sparkling energon by the door and thought of how he was going to tell Drift and Ratchet.
He went through the motions of burping the bitty and soothing them to sleep before starting on paperwork. By the time he finished he leaned back in his chair and looked down at his breast mesh and the bitty sleeping on them.
He maneuvered the bitty and tried to put his breasts back into his chassis only to wince and hiss in pain.
‘That won’t work. Damnit. I’ll have to get a new chassis supporter.’
He looked down at the bitty and couldn’t find it in himself to blame them or really be upset. He was still pushing off the mental breakdown at succumbing to his carrier protocols. But looking down at the bitty he found it a tad easier.
Things didn’t feel so bad…until he heard the hab door open.
He stiffened in his seat and slowly turned his helm to see Drift and Ratchet staring at him and their hab.
He tried to smile but it came off wobbly and afraid and the sparkling made a whimpering noise that pulled his attention.
He shushed them gently with a small bounce and they nuzzled into him.
He looked back up to see the spot by the door empty with Drift and Ratchet right in front of Rodimus staring shocked at the fresh bitty in his arms recharging on swollen exposed breast mesh.
“Hehe. Surprise? Funny story here.”
“Roddy were you sparked and didn’t know it?! Did you emerge our sparkling on a mission?!”
Drift was seething with a myraid of emotions but not one was anger. He was thankfully whispering as he did so and was visibly checking him over before getting closer only to stop so Ratchet could begin scanning the sparkling and Rodimus.
“No I wasn’t sparked! And no I didn’t emerge a bitty! They don’t even look like us!”
He whispered venomously before pausing. They all stopped for a moment before Rodimus apologized.
“I’m not getting sparked. Ever,” he spoke, looking them in the optic before motioning for Ratchet to keep working.
The mech gave him a look he didn’t want to see so he turned his helm and let Ratchet work.
“The sparkling is fine,” he stood, looking at the fresh sparkling still sleeping on Rodimus who had an arm covering his nozzles.
He refused to move it because he didn’t want them seeing.
He knew they knew. They had since before they got together. He’d blown up almost saying some really nasty things when they revealed to him they knew by his scent, nest, clingy behavior he thought he shut down and the way he’d act around sparklings. Of course having this revealed made him all but destroy his carrying instincts and reject anything remotely like it.
It hurt. Physically and mentally to do so but he did it anyway and rejected any advice on not doing it. Of course he took it a step further and took preventative pills that kept him from going into heat and added an extra spark baffle. He really hated being a carrier and how it made him look to other mechs and femmes. He was not weak. He was not some birthing machine and he was not going to degrade himself by popping out sparklings and prove them all right. He was more than a carrier mech. He was a living being. He wouldn’t succumb to code.
Of course doing all this and having no heat put him in danger and made him sick but he truly would rather get sick than suffer another heat and possibly get sparked.
It took passing out after throwing up energon for his own medical right to be snatched away. He was taken off heat suppressants and his spark baffles were removed leaving him with just one.
He’d rode out his heat painfully by himself and left the medical center before they could try talking him into something he didn’t want. He ignored his teammates outside of battle planning for a long time. He ignored Ratchet and Drift, at the time Deadlock, for even longer since they just didn’t get it.
As much as he butted helms with Optimus the mech understood but still didn’t want him endangering his life. The only medic he really trusted was First Aid who admitted he didn’t understand but tried to give him the best option instead of getting snippy with him or pushing carrier scrap at him.
He’s pulled out of his thoughts when he feels Ratchet put a servo on his breast mesh and feel around it. He knows he isn’t being a perv but he still hates it. He’d never exposed his breast mesh to them before and hadn’t ever planned to.
“Well?”
He was getting more impatient and uncomfortable by the moment and Ratchet gave him a look that he returned with the beginnings of a snarl that he restrained.
“Milk won’t stop till the kid doesn’t need it anymore. You’ll need a new chassis plating. I’ll get to working on one-”
“I’ll have First aid make me one. Its fine. You both should rest. I’ll explain everything when you wake up.”
He was standing before either could get a word in. Was it fair? Not at all. But he really didn’t want this conversation nor the carrier slag they’d throw his way.
“Kid, get back here. This is a conversation we’re having now.”
He glared but didn’t go any further.
“I didn’t purposely attach the sparkling. It just..happened. I saw them crying near their creators when I went down to the lab. They were already gone and gray.”
“I wasn’t even thinking when I took them and decided to keep them. I’m sorry I didn’t ask first or tell you. You don’t have to care for them, I can do that on my own.”
He’d done it with sparklings at the centers and they’d recovered until they found a proper home during the war. So he knew he could.
“I’m not asking either of you to do anything and if they are a crying sparkling I’m going back to my hab.”
“Rodimus!”
Drift had yelled his name a little too loud to stop him from spiraling and putting distance between them. The mech was holding his arms on both sides and he wasn’t aware he’d been venting hard.
“Stop, Drift vented hard, looking at him with his finials back and fangs poking out.
“You’re not going to your old hab. You’re staying here with us, where you belong,” Drift told him. “We’re not angry and we don’t blame you for getting attached. We just..”
“We’re surprised kid. Shocked really,” Ratchet came close and he felt crowded. The sparkling was picking up on his emotions and while that made him happy because it meant a bond was in place, he didn’t want them exposed to painful emotions or his cluster of feelings so he vented and bounced them. Keeping his gaze on the sparkling, trying not to notice how their gazes stuck to him and the longing in their optics, he started speaking again.
“I have the papers that say he’s mine already..Megs and Minimus know already because they came by unannounced.”
“Only yours?”
Ratchet was the one to ask and he felt bad that he didn’t think they’d want their names on the papers as well.
“I didn’t think you’d want your names on it. I didn’t think about anything other than your reactions honestly and I wasn’t fair in those thoughts either. I’m sorry.”
He owed it to them to at least get their frustrations out so he looked them in the optics expecting glares only to feel sadness and that was so much worst.
“Roddy…we aren’t..give us the papers.”
He went over to his desk and situated the sparkling while covering his nozzles and pulled the papers out handing them over.
They both signed it.
And he was both relieved and guilt ridden.
Both wanted a sparkling and were even partners with a mech who could carry by tank and yet…
“Why isn’t his name on here?”
“I couldn’t think of one…so I guess..as his sires, you can name him. If you want.”
They looked at him as if he’d revealed the secrets of Cybertron and he might as well have. Naming was a huge deal in their culture and for a carrier to completely allow the sires full handle of it meant a lot.
He looked down at the sparkling and stood beside them, “here, hold him.”
It was Ratchet who gently took the sparkling which made the bitty wake up looking confused. Their optics nor senses were actually developed but they could tell the difference between stranger, carrier and sire. They could smell that he was near but couldn’t feel him. And yet the sparkling didn’t cry which was a good sign. They did sneeze and Ratchet melted at the sight with Drift not far behind and he hadn’t even held the bitty yet.
It made Rodimus smile but the guilt ate away at him.
Truth be told, he really did want sparklings, but he hated the stereotypes, prejudice and weakness being a carrier brought on. He never wanted to be weak or seen as weak and he hated how he would be viewed if he were to get sparked. So he denied and rejected it and in the process, he denied himself and his partners something they all wanted. Its one of the reasons he wasn’t conjunxed with them while the two were. It was usually a guarantee a carrier would get sparked once they conjunxed. His fears greatly outweighed the speak of what if he still felt.
He was also certain they would one day tire of him and leave when they realized they could do better.
‘I sprung a bitty on them that isn’t even ours by emergence and they still want me,’ he let a few tears fall silently. ‘I’ve been unfair to them…’
He watched as Ratchet gave the bitty to Drift and how the mech melted completely with tears in his optics. Their bitty still didn’t cry which was also a very good sign he felt a connection to the two. He quietly bent down and grabbed a blanket to cover his exposed nozzles. He should let Ratchet make him a new chassis cover.
The feelings were overwhelming and he felt less of a warrior and solider and more the code he tried to reject for millions of years.
He..hated the vulnerability still and tried to quietly shift into the other room for a moment to gather himself but the two held him on both sides of his arms.
“What? Is he hungry?”
He didn’t want to make optic contact and tried to play off his sniffle until Ratchet pulled him in. He tried to move back but neither mechs allowed it.
“Kid..for once..don’t fight it..it doesn’t make you any less and it’s not a bad thing. Just for now..let it out..don’t reject it. Don’t reject us.”
The dam burst and he was sobbing with his intake covered by his servos to keep from being too loud. He kept his face plates hidden and felt Drift hug his back with their sparkling secure in his hold. Their arms tightened around him. He felt all the things he never allowed himself.
Safe. Vulnerable. Secure. Open. Tender. Exposed and held together as he mended himself whole with their comfort.
It felt as good as it hurt and by the end of his tears he felt raw and their nest had never felt so good to slip inside. He felt Drift and Ratchet pressed on both sides of him after giving him their sparkling when he whined for him.
Their sparkling nuzzled into him and made cooing noises, trying to fight their sleep but Drift wouldn’t let them. His humming was infectious and it was hard for him to stay awake but the plating that remained on his upper frame left him so uncomfortable. He knew what that meant but he wasn’t sure he could handle accepting it.
“It’s okay, Roddy,” Drift whispered in his audial, slowly taking the locks off his tank and back strut plating with Rstchets help. He felt pure relief at the metal being removed allowing his belly and wide hips room to breathe.
Accepting the sparkling as his own, his frame producing milk and allowing his emotions freedom in the presence of his partners triggered his body to go into a pseudo heat that was brought on from denying his code all these years.
“Let us take care of you,” Ratchet kissed along his neck cables, servos rubbing the chub along his belly, sending butterflies bursting within him at the love and comfort freely given.
Drift rubbed his palms along his hips and bit into his neck, hands making their way up to his sensitive breasts where he tensed and Ratchet cooed at him, reassuring him as he too cupped Rodimus breast. Both slipping the blanket free and wrapping the sparkling inside it.
The bitty inhaled the pheromones in the air and began to fall into recharge. What smelled of heat to adult mechs smelled of sleep pheromones to sparklings.
They placed the bitty on the edge of the nest yet still within close servo and optic contact.
Laid out bare for them to see, Rodimus tried to cover his nozzles but the two stopped him. Both Drift and Ratchet pressed a kiss to his nozzles before licking the dark milk duct and kissing the tender mesh again.
They enjoyed the way they bounced heavily and how his belly followed suit.
“You make an amazing person and carrier, sweet spark,” it was Ratchet who always spoke sweet words while taking them apart in berth. The medic popped his panels open and let his spike free, Drift followed pressing kisses to Rodimus’s belly, servo rubbing the chub as he worshipped it with kisses making Rodimus array snap open and lock.
Drift placed a kiss on his soaking valve before moving to let Ratchet do the same.
“You’ll look even more beautiful growing, swelling full with our sparkling. You already look so beautiful caring for our first one,” Drift soothed into his audial. They both were lining up to meet at the entrance of his valve, both their spike heads bobbing together before slowly slipping inside.
They all groaned together in unison until Drift and Ratchet nipped at his nozzles pulling them. Their servos resting interlocked over his belly as they rubbed the soft flesh stimulating his nerves. Bobbing their throats to a wave beat as they drank from him while fully sheathing their spikes deep inside him.
They left him a silent screaming, back arched mess that could do nothing more than cry and whisper his begging for their soft loving touches that left him exposed emotionally and a soaking, valve squelching mess that tried to cycle and lock down on their raw spikes that were struggling to keep from bursting inside him.
He felt their grip on his belly tighten and they rubbed his flesh as if he were already accepting their loads for a new spark when he felt their chassis open and his spark thrum to life.
Three different hues of blue made the dark room glow. Spike and valve bio lights pulsed and grew vibrant while Drift and Ratchet lifted themselves to hover and look down at Rodimus who looked up at them.
“We aren’t letting you go, Roddy. Not now, not if we never got to conjunx and spark you,” he leaned down, kissing the sobbing mech who gazed up at him before Ratchet leaned down capturing plump lips that quivered at his bite. “But now that we have, no more running and hiding from us. We love you Rodimus and we know you love us too.”
Rodimus sobbed even harder.
Feeling their sparks glow and leave their chambers to meet between them and merge making them all conjunx and completing the connection.
They overloaded together, squeezing each other, Rodimus’s valve clamping down on their spikes that buried within his soft tank lining spilling into him. Their sparks dancing getting lost in each other until none could be distinguished and they all held a large piece of each other once their sparks returned to them.
Rodimus was enternally grateful to have Drift and Ratchets servos in his belly as he felt the flesh stretch and grow heavy at all the transfluid that sloshed and flowed inside him. He felt his valve and cheeks grow hot all over again and he moaned, rocking into them.
“Please,” he cried, feeling them rub his distended belly full of transfluid, valve throbbing hot as his tank wanted more. “Please,” he begged again, seeing the two smirk.
“We’ll give you everything you want and need, sweet spark,” his medic promised.
“We just hope you don’t mind carrying two or three by the time we’re done with you.”
“Although, it’d be nice to see you so round and full of three while feeding our first,” Ratchet chuckled.
“Maybe we aim for three next time?” Drift kissed along Rodimus’s face, nuzzling into his olfactory sensor when the mech needed the reassurance and care.
“We can discuss that later. For now,” Ratchet pulled Rodimus close, washing his em field over the mech who needed their affection they were more than happy to give, “lets focus on mending him. He needs our love first, we can think on that later.”
With a nod from Drift and a quick check on their sleeping sparkling, they made love to their conjunx.

The cold has given me a little scenario.
You were shivering in bed with the sheets. You were surrounded by handkerchiefs, wet towels on your forehead.
You weren't so much in the mood to talk to people but you also missed having someone to take care of you.
That's when your giant bot had stopped by to see you. It was a sparkler to see you so weak, coughing and coughing into handkerchiefs.
He put his digit on your forehead and you were burning up.
-Are you taking your meds? - he asked as he stroked your cheek.
By reflex you leaned against his servo, you felt some coolness... something you needed for comfort.
He bot how you were acting and had the next idea.
He removed the blankets leaving only one of them, cradling you in his big arms.
You didn't understand why he did it, but you started to feel some coolness making you relax a little bit from the immense heat you were having.

Late Night Drive 🌙Knockout x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reader: Gender Neutral

Genre: one shot / fluff
Word count: 1,081
Notes: my first x reader in years , I don't spell check very well and my grammar might be off. You've been warned.
Also based off this post
Tumblr media
You had been staring at the ceiling for what felt like ages; even now the ticking of the clock was starting to get on your nerves. With a soft groan you sat up in bed, rubbing your face with huff as you turned to let your legs dangle off your bed.
Looking over at your clock , beaming red number in the light
3:02 AM
You reached over to your night stand, flipped on your lamp and grabbed your phone. Swiping it open with a click you scrolled through your contacts.
Who would even be up at this hour of the night ? You had a good idea after a moment when you saw his contact pop up.
Knockout's com links pinged in his helm. He recognized the user frequency and happily answered.
"Yello?~" he purred with a hum of his engine,"Doctor Knockout's office. Sorry to say but we are closed for the evening.~"
You rolled your eyes but had a happy smile, not even a few moments and Knockout already had you feel just the slightest bit better.
"Oh is that right?" You kicked your feet back and forth as you slowly slipped out of bed to stand up," Here I was about to offer you-" you grunted as you stretched out your limbs , pressing the phone between your cheek and shoulder.
"A chance to go for a ride." You could almost hear the soft hum of his engine.
"A ride ?" He said with a curious tone, already seeming excited "Well i suppose I could make a house call-"
"Oh no no, if you're closed -" you teased through a yawn. Shuffling through your home and looking for your shoes.
"Oh I think I can make an expectation," he played along with you and already was passively putting some things away so he could get ready to leave.
"Lemme guess, slow night?" You chuckled softly as he groaned in response,  his engine making a slight hissing sound.
"It's been so tragically dull (y/n), I swear I'm rusting away, " he was already walking through the doors , and making his way down the hallways. He'd have to ground bridge out.
"I hope not, think of your finish ~" you said sleepily but dramatically as you could muster.
"Hardy har," he shook his helm , coming to the control panel of the ground bridge, booting it up, "Aren't you supposed to be recharging right now by the by?"
You sighed heavily and leaned against the door frame of your living room, "I can't sleep...It's just , mind racing, I know that this is kinda last minute calling you all that but I just rather have some company, "
"(y/n), any excuse to get out of this cramped space and get my tires on some streets is a perfectly good one. Especially for you~," he brought up the portal and transformed speeding through it and hitting the tar of the street.
"Yeah yeah, speedster with the smooth vocabulary,  when are you gonna be here ?" Grabbing your keys off the counter and already stepping outside the door and locking up to wait for him.
"Patience grumpy ,  I just bridged down." He chuckled, "Be there in a few nano clicks."
Com link had ended and you shoved your phone in your pocket,  walking out to the sidewalk and waiting by the street for him.
Just as he said , he was there in a flash. The headlights beaming in the night and his engine humming as he came to a halt.
His door swung open for you, "Well Aren't you dressed up all fancy for me ~" remarking how you were wearing your comfy pj's with a hoodie to tie it all up in a comfortable bow.
You tutted him as you slid into the passengers seat and close his door behind him. Already instantly you laid back against his plush leather seat. Already feeling even more cozy.
"Comfortable?" He asked through his radio com,  starting to pull off from your home and drive down your street.
"Very," you stretched and yawned happily nestling back against the seat.
"I imagine you'd want more of a pleasure cruise than a race way?" You nodded in reply , he could see just how tired your eyes were. Your body looks exhausted,
His voice got a bit quiet and gentle  "Anywhere particular? Or dealers choice?"
"Dealers choice," you blinked slowly and looked out the window, "I trust you,"
"I would hope so," he chuckled, he knew you wanted to settle in, but he had a small question.
"Any reason you wanted to go for a drive?"
You hummed as your eyes already were wanting to close, "When I was younger, I had trouble sleeping. So , my parents would bundle me up, put me in the car and go for a drive. For some reason - the sound of the car driving and just the sensation of it always made me fall straight to sleep."
He thought it was a bit cute. Thinking that something so simple as a car ride could bring a human such peace? But then again when he needs to clear his mind; get a sense of calm, He drives. It wasn't always for the thrill sometimes he could take it slow just like tonight.
"So you're telling me I'm here to knock you out," you could hear his smile. You gave him a soft tired laugh and shook your head.
"Something like that , yeah " you yawned again and nestled back into his seat. Knockout didn't say to much of anything eles letting you feel and hear the ambiance of the road and the radio playing ever so softly. He purposely took the smoothest roads he knew and avoid any high traffic areas.
You could hear his engine purr and his voice softly hum to the tunes playing.
All of this was slowly letting your senses slip away peacefully. First your breathing slowed,  then your eyes fluttered closed and then your body went a bit slack. At last you had finally fallen asleep.
"(Y/n)?" He asked quietly, but a soft little snore escaped your lips in response. He chuckled softly to himself at your peaceful state.
"Recharge time," what Knockout didn't consider now that you were fast asleep is how he was going to get you back into bed. Maybe he'd just drive all night just to make sure you got all your rest. Regardless he was just happy his human was resting. That's all a good doctor could ask for.

request from @infintyfandoms: Thought! Mirage is always so reckless, well what if one time he went too far and hurt his friend or s/o (either)?? I feel like he’d blame himself so bad - even if he was blind sighted by a distracted driver. Never drive crazy again or not drive around again or what??
angsty mirage x fem!reader times. thought of making it a headcanon thingy but nah. this one might need a warning that there are descriptions of serious injuries. and im also writing this on 0 hours of sleep thank you very much
A silver Porsche parked in front of the vinyl store you just walked out of was catching the attention of every passerby. Both men and women's eyes were stopping on the vehicle for a bit longer than they would on any regular car, their heads turning slightly to allow them to do that.
Mirage loved that. He loved transforming in different models everyday, the next one even more prestigious than the one before. Just to get that attention every single time.
You noticed a couple of teenage girls staring at your boyfriend, and even though you were fully aware they were doing so only because he was a good-looking car, you still rolled your eyes at it.
Your feet led you to the Porsche and you hopped in. Before getting the chance to point out the shameless staring of the group of teens, Mirage spoke up, "Whatcha got there?"
Your gaze had shifted to the vinyl case before you placed it down on the passenger's seat without much thought.
"Music," you responded casually in a light tone, putting your hands on the steering wheel, even though you knew Mirage would be doing the driving. "You got fans," you murmured under your breath but Mirage could obviously hear it. Your eyes landed on the girls again, and although you weren't particularly jealous, you still didn't appreciate it too much.
"Hell yeah, I do, baby," he said proudly, the grin in his voice palpable, even though you couldn't see it at the moment. And then, he added, a little bit more quietly as if he was saying this to the man who literally stopped in front of the car to admire him, "You wish you looked like that, huh?"
You let out an amused snort, and patted the gear stick with your palm to give him a sign to drive out of the parking lot. "C'mon."
"Let me honk at him," he'd asked for your permission seconds before doing it anyway without you allowing him to, causing the man to jump in his spot and then walk away. You just smacked the passenger's seat in disapproval, not even going on a rant about his behaviour because it was a daily occurrence for Mirage to do whatever he wanted.
"Hey!" he exclaimed, offended by your sudden reaction, as if he wasn't used to it, "I'm all for violence unless it's directed towards me," he muttered, sounding like an annoyed child. Then, without any warning, he revved the engine and drove out of the parking lot onto the main road. You only rolled your eyes without a word but then, you noticed how fast he was passing all the other cars in his lane, which he would usually cuss out for being slow, as if their owners weren't driving under the speed limit for safety reasons.
"Mirage…" you warned him, using his full name instead of a nickname, which he did not appreciate but decided not to speak on it and just change the topic.
"Jus' tell me it's not George Michael," he said with a short sigh, as if it was very important to him that it, in fact, was not George Michael.
"Mirage..." you warned him once again, ignoring his words, gripping the steering wheel with much more force now to hopefully get him to slow down.
"Nope," he said simply, understanding what you meant without you even having to say it. If he was in his humanoid form, he'd probably cross his arms on his chest and shake his head with that signature smirk indicating that he knew he was in control of the situation. "That's what you get for hitting your poor boy," he added, sounding very content with himself, revving the engine once more just to show you that he, in fact, was not planning on slowing down.
You scoffed. "You deserved it."
"For what?" he began talking in that specific, overly innocent tone, and you just knew he was going to say something sarcastic that would only annoy you even more, "For being so cute and funny?" He asked rhetorically, as if he wasn't aware that he really needn't have honked at that man, and then drive as recklessly as he normally would when you weren't inside him.
But he was very much aware. It was just that his pride didn't allow him to apologise.
"For being a little shit." You decided not to banter with him as per usual, but just to get straight to the point. Even though you were possibly risking starting an argument between you two, you just needed to reprimend him at the moment, especially now that you noticed how nonchalant he was about it.
"Ouch," he pretended to be hurt by what you just said. And although he wasn't actually offended, he still wasn't really in the mood to let you win.
So he sped up even more.
Noticing the opportunity presented right in front of him, the almost empty road ahead of you two, he floored the gas pedal, making you let out a short, quiet noise at the impact in which you got pushed back into the seat.
"What the fuck are you doing?" you asked him with anger in your voice, not raising it just yet, and not actually expecting a response. But you got one anyway:
"Takin' you on a ride date, baby," he answered sarcastically, his overly sweet tone making him sound even more annoying than before.
"Mirage, I—"
If he wasn't as sure in his abilities as he was, he'd never drive over three times faster than the speed limit allowed, never wanting to actually risk you getting hurt in any way.
And it wasn't even his fault, when a sport's car drove right into his left side, before you could even finish your sentence.
It wasn't his fault that the car ran a red light, that it was supposed to stop and wait for him to just drive away without getting thrown to the right by the impact.
It wasn't his fault that he was now rolling over for the fifth time, his roof and sides hitting the hard asphalt every single time.
You weren't even making any noises anymore so that he would know that you were with him, conscious, alive. He ignored the sound of his glass shattering, his metal body getting scratched, bent and painfully ruined, just to be able to hear your breath.
The other car was in a much worse condition, but he didn't care. The only thing occupying his mind was you, your heartbeat he would do anything to hear again. He needed to make sure you were still there.
He felt it all. He felt the pain that came with getting drove into by another car, with flipping over with unimaginable speed and force. But he needed to make sure you were alright.
And he couldn't even do anything to stop his worst nightmare from beginning to play right in front of his very optics.
Then, after a few moments that felt like hours to him, everything finally came to an end. The hiss coming out of him was still hearable, the hot steam, the liquid pouring out of his fual lines threatened to mix with the flames growing with every passing second. But it was finally quiet; no noise of metal hitting the asphalt distracted him from listening to your body.
His spark nearly exploded with relief when he heard the faint sound of your heartbeat. He wanted to transform, to be able to hold you, to get you out of him so that his bent roof wouldn't be pressing against your wounded head.
When people began to gather up around him, he realised he had a decision to make: to transform and risk getting hunted down just like it happened to Bumblebee, or to stay there and pray to Primus, pray to the people now surrounding him that they'd help you and make sure you were okay.
He wanted to scream at them to hurry up, to get you out, to make that heartbeat of yours sound more promising. To let him know that you weren't going to—
The idea of losing you forever crossed his mind for a split second before he could even stop it.
And it was his fault that he was going a lot over the speed limit, too distracted by the need to tease you, to win the argument, and show you that you had nothing to say in the way he was behaving.
It was his fault that there was crimson running down your forehead, the drops rolling past the hairs of your eyebrows, all the way down to your jaw, then staining your shirt with your own blood.
It was his fault that your body felt lifeless against his ruined upholstery, the only motion it was making was an almost undetectable rise of your chest every couple of seconds.
His train of thoughts got interrupted by the distant sound of sirens getting closer and closer to him. The people were talking, someone was yelling, it all making an irritating mixture of human noises he didn't need to hear at the moment.
Mirage felt his left door being opened or rather being torn out of him in a couple painful motions. He didn't care.
He just wanted them to take you away from him.
When he no longer felt your weight on his driver's seat, he almost let a sound of relief through his radio, but just now noticed that it's been ruined, making it impossible for him to do so. He hadn't paid attention to it earlier, too stunned to be able to say anything to you, even though your name and endless questions if you were okay wanted to escape him.
Cold liquid hit his hot metal body, the lower temperature of it somewhat helping him get in a clearer state of mind. Even though he felt deserving of being on fire, he appreciated the slight relief it gave him.
Somebody placed you on a stretcher, put you carefully in another vehicle, and then closed the door. He couldn't see you anymore but was sure the humans would take good care of you. Better care than he was able to offer.
The loud sirens hit his audio receptors before he registered the ambulance leaving the crash site.
And the sound was still bouncing against the interior walls of his helm every single day since the accident. The imagine of your limp body, his steering wheel covered in your blood, your head pressed uncomfortably against the remains of his left window...
Two whole weeks passed and he couldn't think of anything else but you. You in that horrible state he put you in himself.
The guilt was eating him alive, and even though he'd make Noah visit you everyday in the hospital to make sure your condiction was stable, he still couldn't help but beat himself up and be worried sick.
"Concussion, five broken ribs, broken arm and nose, and she was fucking bleeding from her liver, man," your mutual friend told him after leaving the hospital for the first time, after the doctors allowed anybody to visit you, even though you weren't conscious yet.
It affected Noah nearly as much as it did the robot. The only difference was that the human had no reason to blame himself for it, because it wasn't his recklessness that nearly killed you.
Mirage fell silent.
He got quiet, very quiet, unusually for him. Every Autobot he used to hang out with knew what happened, how much you meant to him, and how affected he was by the accident. They noticed the sudden shift in his behaviour, the once bubbly personality disappearing just so he could dwell in guilt in peace.
The thing that bothered him a lot among others was that he couldn't see you. He couldn't walk into the hospital you were being taken care of in. He couldn't sit next to you and tell you how painfully sorry he was for doing it to you, for putting you in danger, for hurting you so much your pain radiated off you body and made him feel it, too.
Noah insisted on repairing him, and he agreed purely because then he'd be able to park in front of the hospital to be as near you as possible.
But he was a wreck, both physically and emotionally.
And it still didn't change when you finally got discharged. He was not the one to pick you up from the hospital, it was Noah and Bee. He couldn't face you.
You asked about him when you woke up from the coma, your friend sitting next to you on the uncomfortable hospital chair only shrugging in response, telling you he didn't know anything about Mirage, where he was or how he was.
It was a lie. The robot was spending his time either in the garage, getting fixed by his only human friend, or out on the road, hoping that maybe, just maybe someone would crash into him again, making him feel that pain again. That pain he thought he deserved for harming you.
And when you insisted on Noah taking you to the garage to see him, after getting the information about his location out of the poor human, Mirage couldn't help but feel even worse than before.
You were alive, of course you were alive, but he also did notice the way you winced with every step, how dull the colour of your skin was compared to the times before the accident, how fragile you looked, standing there in front of him with Noah not leaving your side in case you'd collapse onto the floor.
You were alive, but also in so much pain he couldn't even look at you without feeling a strong sting in his spark.
His optics shifted to Noah in an instant, as if he was trying to bash him for taking you here, which he responded to out loud with his hands raised in a defensive gesture, "She threatened me."
You didn't even know what you were feeling at that moment. A mixture of sadness, annoyance, impatience, and hurt made you unable to say anything, forcing you to just stand there in silence. Suddenly, a short wave of pain washed over your right side, making you grimace and put your only free palm on the area surrounding your liver.
As soon as Mirage noticed your movement, he made an involuntary step towards you, his servos extended in your direction, as if he was trying to both comfort you and catch you if you were to fall.
Noah immediately asked, "You okay?" His eyes shifting between your hand on your side and your pained face. You just nodded.
Uncomfortable silence fell between the three of you, and the other human was close to replacing it with whistling just so that he wouldn't have to stand there awkwardly without a word.
"Imma just leave you two, yeah?" He scratched the back of his neck, his feet already leading him in the direction of the exit. "Jus'... scream if you die or somethin'..." he added, the awkwardness making him joke about things he normally wouldn't joke about.
And then, he left. He left poor Mirage with even poorer you. Alone.
You let out a grunt, making your way to the nearest chair to sit down. He was ready to help you with everything, but he didn't know if you even wanted him to, so he just stayed in his spot.
"You look bad," you commented, lazily motioning to his beaten-up body with your hand. The raspiness, the weakness in your voice almost made him drop to his knees.
He responded unsurely after a pause, a forced, unamused smirk on his face plate, "...You should see the other guy."
It was awkward. Awkward as never before, you two having always found it pretty easy to communicate with each other. But now... Now he couldn't help but feel that unpleasant feeling in his tank when you spoke up and made him say something back to you.
And it was his fault.
Your reaction to his little joke wasn't something you could control. A short, quiet chuckle left your mouth, causing you to grab your right side even more tightly and a wince of pain on your face to deepen.
She can't even laugh.
He felt so excruciatingly bad he had to fight himself not to transform into a car and just drive away.
You wanted to tell him that you've been told the other driver didn't make it. But you knew the war it would start in his mind if you shared that information with him, so you stayed silent.
"You look terrible," he muttered after a few moments of observing your body, as if to himself to comment on the damage he'd done.
You snorted, shaking your head in amusement. "That's exactly what every woman likes to hear," you responded, deciding that a little banter would be better than sitting without any words being exchanged.
Mirage's eyes widened slightly as he took a step towards you, his servos up in the air again in a specific gesture that indicated that he didn't actually mean it like that.
He had this tendency to make things worse with his words, and normally it wouldn't bother him at all, but this time it was you. He didn't want to make thing worse with you.
"No, no, you're pretty. Gorgeous, in my humble opinion. Walking perfection even," he wanted to correct himself, spurting word after word just to show you that he didn't want you to be mad at him. "Geez, I'm sorry," he added, bringing his servos to his face plate to cover it in... embarrassment.
Something new for him.
You shook your head, looking up at him with a small smile. "I do look kinda ter—"
Before you could finish your sentence, he said with much more confidence now, "...For everything."
He rarely apologised.
But you deserved to hear it. Even if you weren't ready to forgive him just yet, even if you were to never forgive him, he just needed you to know that he regretted it.
You frowned, opening your mouth to say something, but he interrupted you again, "Maybe I shouldn't have be the fastest car in Brooklyn that day. Maybe I should've listened to you and not be a little shit," he recalled the way you called him these few weeks ago, just minutes before the accident. With determination in his tone, he continued, "You can hate me, I can take it." But then, he changed his mind as soon as he realised he would prefer if you didn't hate him, "Actually. Hate me for the next three days at max. Please. If you don't want me to rip my vents out."
You snorted weakly once more, the movement of your body making you wince in pain again.
He finally found enough courage within himself to get closer to you. With a couple of steps, he kneeled down in front of you and extended one of his servos in your direction, as if non-verbally telling you to stop laughing and not cause yourself even more pain.
"'m sorry," he whispered his apology again, the sincere look in his optics showing you just how much he cared for you.
"It wasn't y—"
"It was," he interrupted you in a much more serious tone, but it was still filled with softness, "I was stupid..."
"Nothing new," you managed to blurt out before closing your eyes shut and grunting, a grimace on your face as you felt another sting of pain, which you were kind of used to now.
You opened your eyes and looked up at his worried optics observing your every move, his servos desperately wanting to touch and help you but he knew it'd only make things worse due to his size.
You let out a short chuckle at your own joke as soon as your body allowed you to.
"Not funny," he reprimanded you with a serious face, not finding your apparent discomfort amusing at all, even though he agreed with your words.
"You were just making jokes ab—"
"So?"
You rolled your eyes at him. "Child," you insulted him, fully aware how much he hated being called out on his childishness.
"I'm older than your cute little Earth, please," he scoffed.
"No, you're not," you deadpanned.
"...So?"
"I hate you," you said, although a small smile on your lips betrayed you.
"That's the spirit," he sighed but the corners of his lips curled up as well. A beat of silence passed and his gaze went back to your face, "I meant that."
You frowned slightly.
"I am sorry. For being the..." he was about to say something that would hurt his pride and ego, but decided it was worth it, "...the dumbest machine there is. Even a hairdryer is smarter than me," he insulted himself, hoping the sacrifice would make you like him again.
"You're right." You nodded, fighting back a chuckle.
He raised his arms in a playfully offended, confused gesture. "You could at least disagree, damn."
You shook your head in amusement.
After another beat of silence, he said seriously, "You're never coming inside me again."
"Wow."
"Should've worded it better, yeah..." he trailed off, "Primus, woman, give me a break." He let out a small laugh when he noticed your amused reaction to his sentence. "No, seriously... I... You're my girl, yeah? Don't want you to... You know, be in pain."
Why did he have to be so awkward about his feelings? Now that he finally had the chance to show you how much he loved you and never wanted to see you hurt again.
"I still have your..." he wanted to say that he still had your blood on some of his parts that didn't want to come off, but then decided it wasn't the best time to tell you that, "I almost lost my mind when I couldn't hear you," he confessed, his tone regaining its sincerity, the look in his optics describing his guilt to you without words.
He was referring to the moment he was so desperately trying to silence everything around him just to be able to find your heartbeat.
"I'm okay..." Your tone was soft, quiet, as if you were trying not to scare a lost, disoriented puppy.
"You're not okay," he disagreed with a slightly clenched jaw, angry at himself, not even for a second at you, "You..." He lowered himself so that he'd be able to whisper to you, as if saying these words more loudly would make them come true someday, "You almost died... I almost killed you..."
His face panel was close enough to your body for you to put your hand against his warm, metal cheek. Mirage immediately melted at the touch, his optics closing slowly just to allow him to savour the softness of your palm as much as he could.
"It wasn't your fault..." you started your monologue, this time the robot allowing you to continue, "I didn't die. I might have a broken bone or two..." He opened his eyes at this sentence, giving you a sad look. "...But I'll be alright. I didn't die," you repeated, which gained you an unsure nod from your boyfriend, who was now avoiding making eye contact with you.
You didn't force him to look up at you.
"I promise..." he trailed off, not wanting to show you how weak he felt, "I promise I'll never do that again..." His gaze went back to meet yours as you smiled softly, your eyes filled with love you had for him. "I'll never be dumber than a hairdryer, you have my unreliable word. And I'll never argue with you. I'll just say that I'm sorry, and that my woman is always right, and I'll shut up for as long as you want me to. And I... I'll never drive over twenty-five. Yeah, it hurts. But guess what hurts more. Seeing you with a broken bone or two."
Joking might've been the only way he would be able to overcome the sorrow he felt within himself. But it worked both for you and him. You really wouldn't have it any other way.
"Tell me," you whispered with a slight head tilt, slowly closing the gap between your faces.
He frowned, not understanding what you meant by that, but then the small smirk on your lips explained it to him.
He rolled his optics, the remains of guilt still evident in them, although with every passing second and every joke, they seemed to disappear bit by bit.
"'m sorry. My woman is always right," he repeated himself, pretending to find it very boring, as if he didn't really want to admit that. But he did. He did want you to know that he meant every single thing that rolled off his glossa.
Your smile widened immediately, your eyes closing as you minimized the gap between your and Mirage's lips completely.
And then, after long weeks of not being able to forgive himself for hurting the only woman he loved, he was finally able to feel relief.

Tugging on Sparkstrings
TfP! Starscream x Male!human!reader Oneshot
Summary: The 3 times you said thank you to Starscream and the first time he did the same. WC: 3909
A/N: A gift for @sunlightera and beta'd by @staijey-the-creator Hope you all enjoy!!
Starscream missed the time before Megatron returned; three solar cycles surely wasn’t a long time for any Cybertronian, but the comeback of his “Master” made that time feel all that much shorter. A few months ago, he thought he had finally been rid of the merciless warlord after ripping that slagging shard of dark energon out of his chassis, but after the Autobot scum had tampered with his master’s frame, Megatron had come back to, and Starscream had payed for it dearly. And of course there’s the… newest addition of the Nemesis. A human who Knockout had picked up on one of his racing jaunts- only allowed to stay because Knockout was having a difficult time after the loss of his partner and he was apparently useful in the laboratory.
Starscream would never admit to it outloud, but he rather enjoyed your company.
You never failed to make the mech’s derma quirk upwards whenever he had to visit Knockout for a repair; something he’s fallen into the habit of doing far more often since he had gotten to know you.
“Well where is he?” Starscream scoffed, rolling his eyes when the resident doctor told him you were off ship for the day, his talons tapped at the medical slab beneath him while his legs were examined. He had reported to Knockout that he felt something jostling in his lower right leg, near his pede.
“I sent him to get more supplies, my inventory is running low.” Knockout raised an optical ridge and gave the lieutenant a once over. Slowly, a smirk formed on his face as he dropped Starscream’s leg, “Y’know… if I didn’t know any better, I’d start believing you missed the fleshy.”
“What preposterous- how could you- Why would you-” Starscream sputtered, not knowing how to cover his aft.
“You want to know how I know?” Knockout stood to his full height, servos on hips.
“...” Starscream didn’t acknowledge Knockout further, other than glancing at him.
“Because you only ever come in here for superficial things, like buffable dents or small pebbles somewhere in your frame. If you cared for your frame like I do,” Knockout gestured to his, probably freshly, buffed frame as he spoke, “then I might be willing to believe your supposed reasons for coming into my lab near daily, but considering you’re the same mech who left this same lab looking an absolute mess a few months ago, I’ve come to the conclusion that a sudden interest in cosmetics is not what ails you.”
Starscream sat absolutely shell shocked at the medic’s word, not sure how to proceed. The doctor had called his proverbial bluff, and he was undeniably embarrassed to have feelings for a squishy, but he wasn’t expecting what came from Knockout next,
“I’d tell him.”
“What?!”
“Oh please. You’re his favorite patient to help with. Why delay the inevitable? Now get out of my lab with your nonexistent rattling pebble, I’ve got actual things to do.” And just like that, Starscream was practically pushed out of the lab, the whooshing of the door behind him solidifying that their conversation was over.
After another moment of just standing in front of the door like a scraplet had just eaten half his processor. He started moving down the halls aimlessly, an occasional grumble escaped him about Knockout having his helm hit too many times on the battlefield. It was a quiet day on The Nemesis, Megatron was out checking on the energon mines- a job he no longer trusted to Starscream considering the last time he had hidden some away in an abandoned mine.
“Oh! Starscream!”
Scrap.
“Good afternoon! I hate to bother you, are you busy?” Screamer looked down to see you looking back up at him with a smile, a rare sight coming from anyone else on the ship. Normally, if anyone had asked him his business, Starscream would snap at them to mind their own, but he found himself weak to their gentle nature around the ship. It was nice… especially after a meeting with Megatron. “You don’t have to help, if you’re busy. This stuff is just a bit heavy.”
He snapped out of the thoughts going on in his processor and focused back on the human. The man held about five, large bags of different auto supplies, though it’s likely all high-grade polish for that pompous medic. Starscream leans down to take something from you.
“I can spare some time, just this once… human.”
You handed the giant mech three of the bags, bags that look so small and insignificant once they were put in his servos. You both noticed the difference, a small chuckle was drawn from you, the ridiculousness of the situation being anything but subtle. The absence of weight from the bags Starscream took allowed a spring to be put back into your step.
Once you both reach Knockout’s lab, Starscream put down the bags, not wanting Knockout to make another comment about Starscream craving your attention. He glanced back down at you, his arms crossing over his chassis, “Next time let me know if you need help once you get back on the ship. I shouldn’t have to find you struggling in the hallways.”
You raised an eyebrow, a smile still on your face, “Good to know you’re so flexible with your schedule.”
Starscream found himself sputtering for the second time that day. It felt like everyone was determined to sass him one way or the other. He huffed and started his way down the hall, before hearing you call out to him again. His wings flicked, his anxiousness to get away before his vents turned on increasing by the nanoklik.
“What is it?”
“Thank you for helping me.” Your smile is the last thing Starscream saw before you lugged all of the bags through the doorway, all while fussing at Knockout to carry his own polish from now on.
Whirrrrrrr.
The sound of Starscream’s fans filled the hall, which pushed him to get to his habsuite to cool off his warmed frame as soon as possible. His derma formed a smile, his spark undeniably loved the way you said a simple ‘thank you’ by the way it tugged.
* * * * * *
“This is the second time in the past two decacycles that he has been missing from your lab, doctor. I suggest that you get your assistant in check before Lord Megatron deems him an unnecessary entity on this ship!” Starscream slammed a fist down on one of Knockout’s tables, an act that drew an unimpressed look to the medic’s face. Breakdown spared a glance from his place cleaning and organizing Knockout’s surgical and torture instruments, but he was decidedly too interested to participate in Starscream’s temper tantrum.
“Unstick your wings, Starscream, Y/n wasn’t feeling great today, so he is resting in his room, something that was already reported to our master, not that he paid the notice much care.” Knockout’s rolled optics return to their previous task at making sure the surgical-saw he was cleaning before he spoke again, “Feel free to visit him if you finally plan on doing something about your two’s mutual tension. At this point, I’ll be happy with whatever will light a fire under your aft and get you moving.”
“You’re out of line, Knockout! That human is nothing but a pest that doesn’t belong here in the first place. I would be more than happy to cease hearing him regard me so informally and treat me as if I am some friend.” The doctor moved his eyes from his superior and towards the ground behind him, not that Starscream noticed as he continued to rant, “I care about that irritating human as much as I do about whatever brand of polish you’ve deigned good enough from this disgusting planet- and to squish any unsightly, absurd theories you have come up with- is very little!” Starscream came within inches of Knockout’s frame and brought a talon to his chassis, the scowl on his face very much so prominent. “And I-”
“Well then…”
The energon coursing through Starscream went cold at the sound of your voice reaching his audials. Starscream whipped around, coming eye to optic with your scathing glare. You didn’t appear to be in the best of conditions- donning an oversized hoodie and sweats, a blanket wrapped around your shoulders, and a thin sheen of sweat marked your brow. Knockout “cleared” his throat to garner your attention, the sound forced you to finally break eye contact with the Second-in-command of the Decepticons, who also turned, hoping the doctor might help him out of the problem of his own creation. “I’m surprised to see you out of your room, Y/n. You looked downright debilitated a couple of cycles ago. Still do, really.”
“Yeah, well, I was finally able to choke down some saltines, and I was hoping I could borrow some of Breakdown’s time to get me some soup?” You looked up to the orange-faced mech who, upon seeing your weary form, gave you a grin and a nod.
“Sure thing, little man, we can go now, if you’d like.”
“Thank you.”
Breakdown made his way to you, scooped you up into a servo, and lifted you to his shoulder, like he normally does when you both would go out for supplies or recon. The door to the lab opened and Breakdown nearly began to speed down the halls before you tapped his shoulder with your knuckles to get him to pause. You turned around to face Starscream with one last smile, “And thank you for finally voicing your feelings, Sta- sir. I’ll be sure to address you appropriately from now on. We’ll see you in a little bit, Knockout.”
And without further ado, Breakdown and you passed through the doorway, your large friend having already sent Soundwave a message about needing a groundbridge. Knockout’s expression had shifted throughout the interaction, moving from unimpressed to disdain.
“If you’re done insulting my assistant, I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t further sully my lab with your presence… Fragging idiot.”
Shoved out of the medical bay for the second time in two decacycles, and it was the second time that it tugged against his protoform- only this time it was undeniably painful.
* * * * * *
A week or so later, you finally felt better, though you could admit to wanting to stay in your makeshift home on The Nemesis in order to avoid the lanky lieutenant who often stalked the halls, seemingly to avoid his own work. However, you couldn’t leave Knockout and Breakdown hanging, especially when they both have put their necks on the line for you to be allowed to live in this place- no matter how embarrassed you may be if forced to face the mech you’ve been fawning over for the past couple of months, only to be harshly pulled back to reality by said mech’s vehement speech on how your company is undesirable, to say the least.
You felt a little ridiculous peeking around corners before fully committing to the turn, but once you made it to the lab without incident, other than greeting Steve with a good morning, the ridiculous feeling melted away into feeling vindicated instead. “Good morning to my favorite Decepticons.”
“Welcome back, for a moment I thought we were going to have to ask Megatron for a splinter of his “good stuff” if you weren’t back for another solar cycle or so.” Knockout smirked and Breakdown chuckled, working on something with his frame.
“Eugh, I’d rather you let me stay dead.” The idea of Big M’s equivalent to a purple crystal meth being anywhere near your skin, let alone inside of you sent shivers down your spine. Having given the room a look, you noticed nothing looked different, not surprising since it hadn’t been too long. You sat in a little chair Breakdown had created for you and gave yourself a little spin, “So what have you got for me to do today? I’m sure there are some things that smaller hands are needed for.”
Knockout and Breakdown looked at each other before they gave you their attention again and then went back to looking at each other with their expressions flickering here and there. The two of them were obviously using their telepathic thing, trying to figure out what exactly to say to you.
“Guys, just give it to me straight, what’s going on?”
“Well, S-”
“Starscream has been coming by everyday looking for you, and Megatron has taken notice. The Lieutenant has been instructed to meet Lord Megatron on the landing strip, and we have been warned there may be… upkeep following their meeting.” Breakdown started off fast, as if trying to rip the bandage off, only slowing when he basically admitted Megatron was blatantly admitting he was giving Starscream another round of punishments for insubordination.
You may not be happy with Starscream and his lack of tact, but your care for him didn’t evaporate over the course of a few days, so the news of him receiving a beating once again only filled you with dread.
“Well, we’ll care for him no differently than usual. His medical needs will be met by all of us… if he deems it alright.”
“He’s not the chief medical officer of this vessel last I checked, so whether he likes it or not, I will be using both of my assistants if it so pleases me.” He crossed his arms over his chassis and his smirk began to lean towards the mad scientist look, “And if he raises a fuss, I have more than enough anesthesia to keep him down during any procedures.”
“Cool it, doc. I doubt he’ll have too much to say after his ‘meeting’.” You used air quotes, not having wanted to fully believe that Starscream would once again be beaten within an inch of his life, but knew it was inevitable if he had been neglecting his job like Breakdown said. As if on cue, the lab doors opened and Starscream’s body was tossed in, like he was some after thought. His frame was dented, scratched, and marred dramatically- it resembled what Knockout told you of the punishment Starscream received when Megatron had finally been revived from his stasis.
“I trust you all will get our Second-in-Command back in working order quickly.” His hulking figure showed no signs of having just brutally harmed and dragged Starscream through the halls, “And doctor, I would recommend ensuring your pet’s knowledge on the need for productivity on my ship, and that it understands consequences.”
And with that, the leader of the Decepticons was gone.
“Alright, Screamer, let’s get you back up and running. Y/n, get your gloves- I can see small bits further in his frame than I can reach.” Knockout lifted Starscream’s limp frame, with Breakdown’s help, and put him on one of the medical berths. He turned around and can tell you haven’t moved an inch, your eyes glued to the unconscious mech. “Y/n, move. This isn’t the worst state you’ve seen a con in.”
“...Right.” You moved quickly to get your supplies, purely through muscle memory.. Ladders that were installed throughout the ship, but primarily the lab, helped you climb your way up to Starscream’s side. His visage was hard to take in, to say the least. Logically, you knew with Knockout’s expertise and perfectionism when it comes to his work, Starscream would be fine, but seeing the mech that you have fallen for, no matter how unrequited, unconscious and possibly struggling to keep his spark brought tears to your eyes. You kept your head down, no desire to look at your friends, and lower yourself into his chassis after Knockout removes the plating in your way, “Let’s get this over with.”
You hadn’t been in Starscream’s chassis like this before; his spark chamber glowed bright and strong, bringing an ease to your own heart. A shake of your head took your attention from the beautiful gleam of Starscream’s spark and back to the task at hand. Pieces of small metal littered the inside of his frame, so you got to work- each piece picked up carefully, not wanting to nick any circuits or vital points. You took one last look at the entrancing light before telling Knockout to help you up and out of the Starscream’s chassis.
“Knockout, let me know when you’re done with everything and are willing to go over his aftercare procedures when we’re on rotation.” Without waiting for a response, you left the lab, too caught up in your own thoughts to stay. The halls were quiet.
_____________________________
Knockout had messaged you a few hours ago that Starscream was in a stable condition and he and Breakdown had to go for energon scouting. You responded back, acknowledging that you would look over the lieutenant in the meantime. And so, you had been looking over the mech who has yet to wake up for an hour or so.
You settled next to his frame, knowing if something went awry with his status, being anywhere else may make the difference between him staying as healthy as possible and a sudden decline. With a book opened on the datapad Soundwave had generously crafted especially for you, you try to focus on the words on the screen, but keeping your eyes from flicking to Starscream was near impossible.
“You’re a fragging idiot, y’know…” You snapped at the non-responsive frame, the datapad abandoned on the medical berth before you stood and began pacing, “A primus-damned idiot! Inconsiderate! Self-involved! A downright misleading, conniving aft!”
In the midst of your yelling, tears started forming in the corners of your eyes and in a moment of rage, you harshly kicked the servo you stood by. You plopped back down with a groan and reclined your back so it met the berth, legs swung over the side, moving back and forth, “We sound like a bad joke- a robot-lover and a robot who hates him walk into a bar.”
Your laugh was dry.
“I lied.”
“Ah!” You sat up quickly and would have fallen right off the edge of the berth had Starscream not grabbed you by the collar of your shirt. Being lifted onto his chassis, his optics haven’t met yours, but he did grant you a couple of glances before he put his helm back and returned his optics to the ceiling. “What the hell, Starscream?! You scared the shit out of me!”
“Well, excuse me for attempting to clear the air- something I have in fact been trying to do for the past several solar cycles, for your information.” He didn’t move. In fact, he was oddly still in comparison to his normal gesticulations.
“The air wouldn’t have needed clearing if you had just told me you didn’t want me around to begin with.”
“I wasn’t aware that you went deaf in your time avoiding me- I lied, Y/n. Your company is- well, I mean you’re-... it doesn’t matter. What matters is that I lied about not enjoying your presence.” His optics flicked back and forth and to anywhere else that would keep you out of his vision.
“If this is your idea of an apology, you can-” You stopped and quickly crawled up the remainder of his chest plating and pulled on his chin, so he would finally face you, “You used my name.”
“What’s your point?” His eyes still occasionally flit away, easily giving away his embarrassment.
“You’ve never called me by my name. It’s always just been human or fleshy.” A smile, though small, graced your features, and Starscream felt that tug on his spark that he had been missing for weeks. After what he said in front of you, he supposed he had the subconscious fear he would never see that smile again. It was nice to see, comforting even. “Thank you.”
That stole Starscream’s attention, his optics looking into your big eyes, “Why in Primus’ name are you thanking me?”
“Well, I’ll admit your apology sucks, but the effort was there… besides, if I held on to every bad thing said to me on this ship, I’d lose my mind. Knockout isn’t exactly the easiest mech to get along with, and he and Breakdown are good friends now.” You gave him an awkward smile and shrug.
“...What now?” Starscream quirked an optical ridge. While you were forgiving, he couldn’t believe you would just let everything go.
“For now, recharge. We can talk more about this when you’ve just woken up from a royal beating from your megalomaniac boss.” You lied down, emotionally exhausted from the past few days. The relief Starscream’s words granted you also apparently left you ready to sleep. Your comment on the leader of the Decepticons drew a tired chuckle from the mech beneath you as you both finally fell asleep in each other’s comfort.
* * * * * *
“Wake up, Starscream.” You smile, pulling on one of his digits. He cracks an optic open, looking down to your form, hair still mussed from sleep. Seeing him awake, you climb up his frame and sit yourself on his Decepticon brand.
“That’s not my designation to you.” Starscream sneers, closing his optic and feigning going back into a recharge. “Try again, human.”
“Lieutenant?” You hum, bringing a finger up to tap your chin in mocking thought.
“Wrong.”
“Screamer?”
That got his attention, his optics opening and narrowing down at your smaller form, “You spend too much time with that imbecile doctor.”
“An imbecile doctor who had to kick us out of his lab at one point because someone couldn’t stop exaggerating his symptoms to get attention from his nurse, Starlight.” You lean down to press a kiss against his chin, finally using your name for him, smile widening to a grin when you see his own spreading across his derma.
“I have no idea what you could be talking about. The rocks on this planet easily stick in my frame, so I require additional attention.” Starscream brings a servo to your back, rubbing a digit up and down.
“Oh, is that so? Is that why you’ve stolen me away from the lab, so I can be your personal nurse?” Your laugh rings through the habsuite and Starscream’s chuckle reverberates beneath his chassis where you sit.
“Perhaps.”
Reflecting on the relationship between you and your seeker, you can’t believe where you both were a couple of months ago in comparison to now- the spat between you both long settled after a lengthy conversation. After a day or so of caring for Starscream in the lab, Knockout had discharged him for monitoring in his habsuite, tired of having to hear the two of you going coyly back and forth. Megatron didn’t seem to care, just as long as Starscream doesn’t stand in the way of his plans. You’re snapped out of your reminiscing after a moment,
“Thank you.” His optics, no longer feigning sleep, look down to you with such warmth, a look you return but with furrowed brows and a slightly dampened smile. Your hands cup Starscream’s face to bring it into better view.
“Now, what are you thanking me for?”
“For forgiving me… for loving me.”
“Thank you for letting me.” With a kiss on his derma, you get comfortable on his chest and close your eyes, “I changed my mind, maybe we should stay in, at least for a bit.”
“Sounds good to me, spark tugger.”

Knockout ♤ Your New Car
Y'all be gettin a gif for him cuz I couldn't find a good jpg. Also I hate how rushed my old TFP one-shots feel omg-
[TL;DR] Knockout decides to personally take up the job of driving you after an encounter with some bullies.
Tumblr media
♤ ~ Comfort ~ ♤
Knockout was driving towards your school, just like any other day. His alt mode's radio was playing one of your favorite songs as he hummed to the tune. He wasn't thinking about much, other than having some fun time hanging out with you later. His day was also pretty good, considering he didn't have to deal with Megatron's orders or even Starscream's nagging. He was pretty happy and content as he sped down the road, seeing the school building from afar.
However, that happiness was short lived once he noticed you talking to some other humans. They were laughing while you seemed like you were about to cry. As he got closer, he was finally able to hear what was being said.
"...And your car is an absolute waste, honestly. I mean, where did you grab it from? The scrapyard?" The boy laughed again, making his goons laugh.
Furious, the mech decided to step in. Knockout slowly drove up next to where you parked your car. You looked up at the sound of an approaching car. Recognizing your lover's alt mode, you were a little bit more relieved with him now here. The bullies stopped laughing as a rather handsome man got out of the driver's seat.
"Sorry for the wait, doll. Driving your car was just too much fun. It's so fast and you did such a great job buffing it!" He complimented you with a smirk... It was mainly just his ego taking over as he described how great his actual looks were, but you didn't mind. You usually buffed him in his alt mode after all, so at least you could take part of the credit.
He walked over to you. "Thanks for letting me use it. And thanks for taking care of my own." The mech in disguise turned towards your car, the one the bullies were making fun of. Honestly, your car wasn't all too shabby. Maybe buff it here and there, but it looked decent enough. But it clearly wasn't made for speed, unlike his alt mode. The group of bullies was silent. They couldn't believe you owned an Aston Martin. They thought you were the owner of the cheaper-looking car!
"May I still use it till we get home? I just enjoy the thrill." You looked at your bullies, then back at your Decepticon guardian with a small smile. Once you nodded, Knockout leaned in to kiss your forehead, not bothering to go lower in front of those other filthy humans. They don't deserve to see the amount of affection he usually gave you.
Knockout finally looked at your bullies in the eye, faking a confused look, pretending he didn't know why they were picking on you, before nudging you to get into your car. "I'll meet you later, okay, doll? Now get going- I still need to show you something at home." He said before he smugly walked back to his alt mode, entering and closing the door before ultimately letting his holoform disappear behind the tainted windows. He slowly drove in reverse, making sure to see you get into your own vehicle safely and driving out onto the street as he left. He drove ahead of you, but didn't speed to show off like he would usually do, instead he drove at around your own pace.
Once you drove through the groundbridge, Knockout transformed and simply walked next to your car as you went to your little parking area. You rolled down your window to listen to whatever he wanted to rant about. "Who were those humans?! Why were they making fun of you and your possessions like that?!"
Suddenly, tears started to roll down your cheeks and you sniffed, trying to hide your eyes by looking down.
Knockout instantly felt bad and decided to drag you out of your car. So he kneeled down and used his talons to open the door, gently picking you up. No one on the war ship would bother touching your car anyway, so it didn't matter if the door was left open. There was nothing of value in it for any cybertronian.
He put you close enough to his faceplate so he could examine you closely. Just in case they physically harmed you in any way.
"Why are you crying, doll? Was it my outburst?" He asked with a softer tone. You shook your head.
"They always make fun of me- Always finding something to belittle me over..." You wiped away some tears. "A-And ever since I got my mom's old car, they've been harrassing me over it..." There was a moment of silence. Only your little sniffles could be heard. You were a little worried about your boyfriend's lack of response, so you looked up at him.
But then you felt his faceplate press up against your body. More specifically, you felt his dermas kissing your lips. Your face heated up as you kissed back, putting your tiny hands on his faceplate. Once he pulled back, his red optics looked into your red and puffy eyes. They were beautiful to him regardless. "Leave your car here. I'll be your personal vehicle from now on. Just tell me when and where to drive and I'll get you there", he stated. The medic wasn't joking either.
You had a bit of a perplexed look on your face as you considered the possible outcomes. "But I don't want to bother you! You're already doing so much for me! And what if Megatron refuses to let you drive me for more than just school?"
The mech huffed as he slowly put you down on his shoulder pad. "Then he would have to deal with more injured vehicons alone. If he refuses to let me drive you, then I refuse to fix up his soldiers. Simple as that. I'm already your guardian and sparkmate, so why can't I just be your personal ride too?"
You giggled a little at his stubborn attitude, making him smirk. Knockout started slowly making his way over to your home-corner. But before he could offer you to step on his servo to place you on the ground, you kissed the side of his helm. "Thanks, Knockout. You're such a sweetheart and I love you for it." You said, then you stepped onto his servo to be lowered into your corner. The mech gave you a loving smile.
"Love you too, doll."

Can't tell the future, feat Optimus
A/N: I’m feeling pretty crappy at the moment, so I wanted to write something for that. I usually do things like these on my other blog herofics, but I felt like Optimus was a good fit for this so I decided to write something with him. I tagged this with "suicidal tw" just in case, but it's not really an active thing Idk
You hadn’t been to the base in a while, which had Optimus a little worried. You had called him every day, when you couldn’t make it to the base, so he knew you were okay. There was just something about your voice that was bothering him. You’d told him you were just tired and that there was nothing to worry about, and even though he had let it slide until now, he didn’t really believe you. Optimus decided to go see if you would let him take you for a drive to talk. There hadn’t been any decepticon activity for days, so perhaps he would get lucky and the moment of peace would continue.
You were laying in bed with your laptop, trying to decide which assignment was the most interesting. Of course, it was the one that had the deadline months away and not the one that had the deadline next week. You couldn’t get started on any of your assignments, and the ones you had started seemed impossible to finish.
“Why am I like this?” you muttered tiredly, feeling like you might start crying.
The feeling of disappointment was quickly followed by an intense feeling of anger, which made you want to throw your laptop across the room. Why was it always like this? Why couldn’t you manage even school? Your classmates could manage school, work, their family and the rest of their life, and you couldn’t even stay on top of your assignments. Instead of destroying the laptop you had no money to replace, you just ended up hitting your pillow and screaming into it. Your burst of anger was interrupted as you heard a loud truck horn outside your apartment building. You of course went to look out the window and saw that it was Optimus. You put on a jacket on top of your home clothes and went to see what he wanted, maybe the two minutes outside would miraculously get you out of this slump you were in.
You went downstairs and out the front door of your apartment building and walked up to Optimus.
“What are you doing here?” you asked, sounding much colder than you meant to.
“I wanted to see if you were alright. Would you like to go for a drive?” he asked, seemingly not even noticing your tone.
“No thanks, I-” you paused. You were going to say you had a lot of school work to catch up on, but if you hadn’t managed to get started on even one of them the whole day, going for a drive probably couldn’t really make it any worse.
“Actually yeah, let’s go” you said.
Optimus opened the passenger side door to the cabin and you climbed in.
“Remember your seatbelt” he reminded you before starting to drive off.
“Yeah yeah” you muttered, buckling yourself in. “Where are we going anyway?”
“Where would you like to go?”
“Anywhere? Nowhere? I don’t know, we can just drive around” you sighed.
Optimus was never really one for subtleties, so you weren’t exactly surprised when the question you were dreading came. You knew he wasn’t blind, he could see there was something going on with you and that you weren’t doing well. You had really just hoped that he wouldn’t ask, because you felt like your calm demeanor was hanging on by a thread and it would snap at any moment.
“I do not mean to intrude, but I have noticed you have been quite distant lately. I know you have a habit of pushing others away when you are feeling unwell, because you do not wish to be a burden on anyone” he stated very matter-of-factly. “But I wish you would speak to me about what is weighing on you”
It wouldn’t really do any good to lie to him anyway, so you decided to just talk to him. Maybe he would get tired of you too and stop asking how you were. That’s what seemed to happen with everyone you ever talked to.
“You asked for this” you sighed, before starting your little rant. “I don’t know if this is depression or burnout or what, but I’m exhausted. I don’t know how I’m supposed to manage 15 different school assignments that have deadlines within days of each other. Sure, some of the deadlines are over a month away, but then there’s like five of them in one week. I can’t even get any of them started”
“It sounds like you are feeling very unwell. Have you discussed this with your attending physician or anyone else in your care team?” Optimus asked with clear worry in his voice.
“Not really. When I’ve had calls or appointments with them, I always feel fine in the moment, so I don’t say anything, and when I get back home, it all explodes in my face” you chuckled dryly, looking out of the side window to the darkness outside. It had started raining too, and since Optimus had decided to turn to the highway, there were barely any lights anywhere anymore, because you were so far away from lived in areas.
“Would you like to discuss your current state of mind with me then? I would like to hear how you are really feeling” he inquired.
“I can try” you sighed. “You know how us humans live so much shorter lives compared to you cybertronians?”
“Yes”
“I remember thinking back to when I was like sixteen years old, that I would never make it to twenty. But here I am, in my mid-twenties and now it has changed to “I don't think I’ll make it to thirty”. I wonder if I’ll ever stop thinking like that? To you, that’s probably nothing. Thirty years goes by in a blink of an eye for you, because you live for millions of years. I can’t even imagine living that long. I can’t even imagine living thirty years…” you trailed off.
Optimus could feel you trembling on the passenger’s seat. You were most likely trying to hold in your tears, to stop yourself from crying. He knew you hated crying in front of others, so he didn’t comment on it.
“You are probably right about the fact that thirty years is a short time for me, but that does not mean I do not appreciate it. Take these last three years we have known each other, for example. It might have been a very short time for me, but it has consisted of some of the best things I’ve experienced in eons. Meeting you, for instance. You are not a burden (Name). You are my most precious one. I do not want to see you in pain, but I would still take that over never seeing you again. You are so very strong, but you must also rest sometimes”
You finally started sobbing the moment you heard the words “my most precious one”. Optimus was the only one to ever say something like that to you, he was the only one who seemed to truly understand what you needed.
“You should not burn yourself out because of something like university. It will wait until you are well again. Life happens now, and you can not sacrifice yourself for a future that you know nothing about. You never know where life might take you, but know this. I will always be there with you. You will never have to face these hardships alone again” Optimus finished.
“Than-thank-thank you” you sobbed like a child.
All the stress, all the grief, everything was just pouring out of you now that the dam had been opened. You were crying like a child, just crying away all your frustration as Optimus kept you safe. Even if your time in this universe was just a blink for him, you hoped he would be there until it was your time to go. Maybe you could stay longer if he was there, maybe you would make it past that thirty year mark if he was with you. You couldn’t tell the future, but you could hope.
