My 90 minute escapade to transform this beautiful bastard.

Skywarp's pompous strafe attack on a lone Autobot medic.

Said medic running for cover, finding none, then being impaled right between the lock shafts and taken ten thousand feet over Mount Saint Hillary.

First Aid makes his ten thousand foot descent without aileron affirmations.

Suddenly: 'I gotta roll for it!"

Quick waist180 into a Datsun Vanette C120. Four thousand feet until kissing dirt. Skywarp arcs around for another passing strike.

First Aid bounces hard, his four Goodyears doing their damnedest to protect him. Good thing they're actual rubber.

Medic asteroid now becomes medic surface-to-air projectile. Skywarp can't bank quickly enough. The collision is absolutely brutal. You had to be there.

First Aid wakes up feeling like Ratchet all the time: half-dead and grumpy. It doesn't suit him, but neither does a fellow Cybertronian damaged beyond transformation, in need of rapid response. He's got a job to do.

The 'Quintassons selectively breeding' raises other questions, too.

Do the medics and medical facilities operate off of Quintasson standards?

If so, could they unintentionally be causing harm by forcing those standards upon those whose frames keep rejecting them?

Entire swathes of the population would actively prefer illegal mods if that were the case. Non-standard being worth the risk if it means living with reduced pain or malfunctions. Doctors who performed them would obviously get their licensing revoked if caught, but maybe that was the most scandalous, obvious form of protest a medic could do.

How many frames were made extinct just to get a "factory standard" and how many of them were key to the planet's health?

Like, were predacons and similarly large beastformers environmental cornerstones, drawing resources and exposing veins from deep in the crust as they nested? It could've been like it'd be a whale fall situation, where entire ecosystems would've been sustained for generations off what was exposed.

How many mechs felt strangely violated or vindicated seeing how humans used those odd things within/on their alt modes that they always had yet never knew the use for?

Quintessons had a really long time to impose their cultural practices as well as their social structures and mannerisms into Cybertron. They had no qualms messing with the Well of Allsparks to ensure 'standardization' of all that came from it, aka enforcing criteria to either get rid of the frame-types too difficult to control or hampered the population completely.

Quintessa has a very complicated relationship with its own origins. They're a race that's fiercely proud of their technological advances and high intelligence to 'escape the weaknesses of their flesh,' but Quintessons still can not smother their instinctual fears across certain kinds of frames (usually predatory beastformers) invoke. Nor do they wish to become fully automata as they subjugated many mechanical species by leveraging their own organic biology along with lost arcane lost and technology.

Quintessons had a very long history with crushing natives beneath their tentacles and did the same tried and true procedures. They took over all the main pillars of society and brutally put down any uprisings, killed dissentors, destroyed and/or highjacked important cultural sites and spiritual practices, and heavily crusaded against any that didn't uphold the new status quo through insidious means: time.

Medicine is an important field on Quintessa, so there was no way they were going to allow anyone to practice with 'backwards' thoughts and 'outdated' methods. Using legalities that they had full control, they stacked the deck in their complete favor to disseminate misinformation and outright lies to indoctrinate each subsequent generation of new Cybertronians from the Allspark. To them, it became a war of attrition between cultural genocide and scattered retention as Quintessons deliberately targeted the newbuilds to teach and viciously hunted down 'rogue' elements.

They sown so much discord that even when kicked off, they basically got the last laugh as Cybertron had many cultural similarities to Quintessa that the old masters were cackling with glee when they saw Cybertronians continuing to do their own work without their input, including the standardization practices, caste system, and the heavily edited religious doctrine.

On Earth, many got a huge surprise when they realized just how similar the insides of their new disguises were like to their alt-mode on Cybertron. The Autobots had a series of realizations with cupholders, 'glove compartments,' and how easily the humans found the buttons and devices to maneuver the seats to a more comfortable position.

I like the idea of Twitch and Megs going to Cybertron and meeting Hot Rod. With maybe Twitch meeting him first and pretty easily befriending him before Megatron comes into the picture which is where things get complicated as I see Hot Rod not being super welcoming of Megatron. At. All.

Unlike Prowl, though, I think Hot Rods animosity would be a tad more personal. Ripping off IDW a bit I think Hot Rod could be from the city of Nyon and like in IDW perhaps the city suffered a great deal of destruction or was even completely destroyed. Only the circumstances of the cities destruction is different and being tied to the activities of the Decepticons. Whether it was on purpose or simply a consequence of Decepticon activity the net result was that Hot Rods birthplace was destroyed with modern day Hot Rod still feeling bitter towards Megatron about the events.

Hot Rods much more personal dislike for Megs would make it difficult for him to just shrug it off, especially if the destruction of Nyon was one of the more damning things connected to Megs in the Earthspark verse and something he genuinely regrets.

Course its not all doom and gloom as regardless of how much hot rod might dislike Megatron I can see him separating that from his opinion of Twitch and still looking out for her and her siblings. And perhaps this positive interaction with the terrans combined with some of Hot Rods more admirable qualities and his willingness to work with Megs for the great good in spite of his dislike of Megatron could slowly result in the friendship the two had in the "More Than Meets The Eye" comic.

Got ToyWorld's Primorion to add to the Masterpiece-alike Optimus Prime collection I'm building and put him in the most crotch-forward (or "Dreamwave") pose that I could get the figure to support I do need to get a better setup for getting photos of larger figures like this or the other Masterpiece-alike Primes; I have a lot more of the mechanical chain base part for that but not really a place to set them up

Hasbro, why do you hate my money so much? I want my goth-looking-cannon-gf Megatron or Starscream with cool bat wings, I will not buy your thousandth version of movie Bumblebee, I don't care if it has animal parts.
