Had this Scrounge character sheet I made lying around, it's pretty much done, I remember only getting stunned at the gear part because I wanted his "special arm" to be its own thing. Being support equipament is good, I think? Uses the Decepticon Directive.

Elita-1: Looks to me like you've got the exact same choice, Lugnut - the Core or the Stunticons.

Also I firmly believe transformers can feel all emotions and I'm a shipper, but I kind of love Elita-1, Optimus, and Lugnut being seen as like... abnormal for their romantic feelings LMAO

Fanbinding of New Paradigm - FFWAD 2024!

For the 2023 Renegade Typeset exchange @moonlight1314 gifted me the first story of the New Paradigm series back in December. It is lovely and colorful and includes the author's artwork as well!

However, I have immense fondness for the entire series and wanted all of it in one place. So I typeset the rest of the series and began plotting my first tête-bêche book.

My whole design was sparked from these amazing papers I used for the endpapers. I wanted to reflect on rolly-poly baby robots, and circles/star-bursts are a good way to do that.

From there I was able to find a lovely green fabric with dots and spirals to make bookcloth for the cover. These are my first covers with cutouts. Definitely a lot of work, but I like the effect. Something new in my skillset!

The tête-bêche style allows each typeset to shine on it's own, as each separate typeset still gets to start the book.

I wanted something with the feel of circuity on the cover, and also wanted to bring back the circles and indicate which of the covers to start with. This is my second cover using HTV: it turned out very well, but I am still learning a lot with every attempt!

This was also my first attempt at renaissance chevron endbands, which I like a lot! There was still the irritating task of securing the core to the text block, but that's done up front and then it's just sewing from then on. I really like the look, and maybe next time I'll be brave and choose more high-contrast colors to show of the pattern more.

Ok, the last poll was very decisive on wanting me to continue something I've already started. okay okay this might be long so I'm sorry

Renegade is a guard in the Lost Light, her role is to ensure that the ship and the crew are safe. She is Rung's conjux and is technically also a goddess.

In this universe the Guiding Hand was at war with Unicron who had an army led by his right hand (I'm thinking of calling her Morrigan but I think that sounds too human), problem oh no! The right hand in question discovers that life is pretty cool and betrays him in the final battle which allows the Guiding Hand to win! (Morrigan) swears to always protect the gods and falls in love with Primus. The amnesia thing happens and she finds herself becoming a gladiator called Renegade (the name sounded good for her) before war breaks out and she finds herself fleeing Cybertron and living in exile on lots of planets until the war ends. When Rodimus makes his announcement for the departure of the Lost Light she already knows the dangers of space and says "why not help them?". She meets Rung (aka Primus) again and they fall in love again! She is there when Rung sacrifices himself and dies with him.🥲

Goldstrike is an Outlier who manipulates light. Senator Shockwave found her in the streets of Iacon abandoned and brought her back to the J.A.A.T. There she learns to manipulate her ability and Shockwave officially becomes her Sire. After a few years the Senate shows up and makes her go through Empurata as a warning for Shockwave who will face all the members of the senate which will lead to his own Empurata and Shadowplay. Goldstrike is now under the care of Optimus who tries to help her as best he can. In the middle of the war she joins the Decepticons in hopes of being able to find a good relationship with her father but quickly understands that he is no longer her father. She joins the Autobots again and at the end of the war spends most of her time with other members of the J.A.A.T like Trailbreaker or Skids.

Finally, Cirrus (whose universe is tfp) is a very outgoing and acrobatic former racer. He shared his spark with his twin brother Jadegraze who was a historian. During the war they both tried to escape and wait for the war to end but his brother was killed by Soundwave. He joins the autobots as a major of the air force and joins earth at the same time as Optimus and the others. He has a passion for frogs because their color reminds him of his brother and loves to play with Miko, Raf and Jack and show them lots of tricks that he can do. He also meets a human called Helena who is a former military in the air force and who has a behavior close to Ratchet but more relaxed.

Sorry if this was too long I'm just so happy to be able to yap about my weird little creations😭

I wish the Rust Renegades had appeared in the TF media I really enjoy... like imagine in G1 getting to see a moment in which Rumble goes, "Victorion? We're gonna turn ya into... Loserion!" and then Stormclash strangling the diodes out of him while her sister Skyburst tries to tell her it's not worth it. Or Stormclash and Blades sparring! Or Rust Dust and Moonracer being friends! Or Pyra Magna and Thunderwing clashing over the Matrix!

Because I really hated how the conflict between Autobots and Decepticons was written in IDW and IDW2 and Pyra Magna's character especially is so heavily linked to that and her conflict with Optimus Prime depends on how he was portrayed (and I also didn't like how he was written) it makes it hard for me to enjoy the stories where the Rust Renegades were most heavily featured... and I think that's too bad. ...Although a lot of people really enjoyed the IDW comics and how those elements were handled, so what's the excuse of the rest of the fandom...? lol

This team is so cool and I love the idea of a combiner who's full of religious zeal and has the power to invert gravity! If only the Rust Renegades were in something like Cyberverse, I think seeing some kind of clash between Windblade's form of belief and theirs would've been really interesting. Also, hot take, but I think the Rust Renegades should remain neutral, too. I think that would make them + Victorion especially unique and stand out a ton (though because of the Torchbearers' role I think they would definitely work much more closely with Autobots instead of the group destroying and conquering all the time).

I bound this as part of Renegade Bindery’s Binderary 2023 event! A copy for me and another for the author. Another set of quarto sized books.

This is another short fic I come back to on a regular schedule. It’s sweet, and hot, and agrees with my head-canons 😂

Incendiary is a series, containing Flash Point and Blastoff. I really leaned into the flame theme with the origami paper on the cover and the imagery inside.

These are my first books with color images in the text block. Color in the text block takes almost the same number of steps as foil in the text block, and I combined those processes, so it was quite the process! The first page of each chapter has smoke in the background!

Once again, my text block was too wide for the ribbon I have on hand, but I have enjoyed the braiding and tassel making for the bookmarks!
