After enough consideration of my own I have concluded the reason these two are the odd ones out because they are actually bugs that think in very different ways than everyone else 😌 it’s a sound assessment… must be why they just stare at things happening like you just lifted up a rock they, the insects, were under

Transformers: Prime Decepticons - Hands

So, I was looking at hands, as one does when they’re bored, and I noticed a few things:

Every single ‘Con has claws, except Soundwave and Breakdown.

Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave, Dreadwing, Skyquake, Knockout, and Airachnid have 5 fingers.

Soundwave, Breakdown, Insecticons, Predaking, Darksteel, and Skylynx have 4 fingers.

Vehicons only have 3 fingers.

Predacon claws are flawless in form and aesthetic.

While I know Soundwave has spindly fingers for practical reasons, it’s the perfect symbolic representation of how he declawed himself for the sake of the Cause, giving up much of his power to follow Megatron.

Kudos to the character designers for crafting each Decepticon’s hands to match their function:

Megatron, Dreadwing, Skyquake: Sharp and wide for various combat situations

Soundwave: Thin and straight for work with computers and tech

Starscream: Light and “bony,” perfect for a flight frame

Shockwave, Knockout, and Airachnid: Sharp and delicate for scientific and/or medical work

Breakdown: Wide and blunt for brute force attacks

Vehicons: Useless

Insecticons: Wide and curved for digging and slashing

Predacons: Sharp with additional armor plating for evisceration (help I love this word so much)

The Autobots could only dream of having hands this masterfully crafted ✨

Insecticons x Reader

• Shivering as someone’s servos thread through your hair to tip your head back and a mouth covers yours, you’re really understanding that saying about too much of a good thing. Glossa stealing inside your mouth to tangle with your tongue, you’re not even sure which one it is, but you’re reduced to a needy, incoherent and overly sensitive mess all over again. Aware that you’re whimpering the word ‘please’ over and over and not knowing if you’re begging for more or for a break.

• Rumbling softly as his head lifts, Shrapnel slides a palm along your thigh, feeling your muscles trembling as his attention turns to his brothers. Specifically Bombshell as his head tips to study you. “A good, willing little mate, mate,” Shrapnel says watching as Bombshell hooks an arm around your waist and drags you into his lap. Venting softly as Bombshell catches your jaw in his clawed servos, mask retracting to run his glossa along your neck, mouth opening and sharp denta grazing soft skin. And Shrapnel goes still, waiting to see if Bombshell’s appetite will win out. Hears Kickback chirp a shrill protest, that they’d already claimed you. That you claimed them.

• Feeling your pulse against his glossa, Bombshell can’t deny he’s tempted to sink his denta in. Because he’s always hungry and unlike weaker Cybertronians, there’s nothing they can’t eat. Maybe just mark your soft skin, a little taste. Knowing he might not be able to stop if he does. Hesitating when your head turns, and you press your face against his neck, breath warm on his mesh. And Kickback and Shrapnel are both watching and tense until he lifts his head, servos stroking through your hair. “Take our little queen,” he growls, handing you over to Kickback. “I need to hunt.” Needs to feed so you don’t look so tempting. Still wants to mark you, but not until he’s more in control.

• Cradling you to him as Bombshell mass shifts and transforms to head out, Kickback runs his servos down your neck, exploring you as you curl into his warmth. “You’re going to be such a good carrier,” he croons to you, nuzzling against your cheek. Give them so many sparklings and build a strong hive. Aware of Shrapnel shifting closer, going up on his knees a hand grabbing Kickback’s shoulder as he leans over you, mouth brushing the back of your neck so you’re trapped between them. Bombshell’s still not fully convinced on taking a human queen, he knows.

• “Not fully ours yet, yet.” The one draped against your back says. You feel sharp teeth scrape your skin to make you shiver. And the one holding you is tipping your head back, mouth brushing your jaw. “We don’t have to wait. Still need to crown our queen, queen,” The one at your back adds. Drifting and almost asleep as they shift against you, the one holding you eases back and pulls you down to sprawl on him as the other follows you both down to sandwich you between them. Feel plating shift against your skin and then you’re wide awake, arching between them you get snared on both sides by light and warmth.

So one day Bumblebee locks himself in his room and comes out a week later with a Sparkling in his arms announcing to everyone, in the most casual yet proud way in the universe, that he has a baby. The entire base freaks out because, number 1: Bumblebee had a baby and, number 2: no one knows who the Sire is.

The entire team, after much chaos, scolding, and Bee yelling at them to shut up because they scare his little femme, finally calm down and accept the Sparkling as part of the group and promise to take care of her and support Bee with all.

Overall, everyone is very sweet and helpful, always there supporting Bee (who turns out, surprisingly, to be a great Carrier) and the little one. They are very kind, caring and understanding.

The problem comes when, eventually, suspicions about the Sire become more and more serious because Bee keeps saying that "there is no Sire" when asked about it, as if it were normal, and the Autobots start to wonder if it's possible that they're a Decepticon. They run to Ratchet (who has examined the baby to make sure she's healthy) to ask if he has any idea who is responsible, but he refuses again and again. When they ask if it's possible a Decepticon, Ratchet finally gets angry, believing that they're accusing Bee of betrayal, and tells them that no, if they were, Sparkling would have Decepticon traits, since Cons CNAs are very dominant. The little girl is an identical copy of Bee.

That actually doesn't help at all to solve the mystery and instead turns the base into a game of Sherlock Holmes because now all the robots are paranoid about the other being the Sire. When they're with the mom and the baby they pretend to be normal but when they're alone they accuse each other (they're also twice as suspicious because they've all been very affectionate with Bee and the baby since she was born and that makes them look more guilty) they even accuse Ratchet but that ends soon because Bee starts trying to get his baby to say the names of the team and when they get to him he tries to teach her how to say "grandpa".

In general, everything is a disaster that pretends to be normal around the little ones.

The Plot Twist: Neither is the Sire. No one. Bee is actually part Insecticon and that makes him able to reproduce via parthenogenesis like bees, meaning he has given birth to a clone of himself. Ha.

I wasn’t expecting this plot twist but i like it, Picasso.
