There’s a YouTuber who I used to watch a lot, not so much anymore bc I don’t like that type of content anymore, but he still gets recommended to me and I noticed he put out a let’s play of the new Harry Potter game. Didn’t watch it but I took a glance at his subreddit and the tag on tumblr and of course there is a lot of controversy: I guess the story is that he got a sponsorship from Warner Bros., played the game, ended up turning the comments off because they attracted a lot of gross people, and gave an apology on Reddit because he honestly wasn’t aware that there was discourse surrounding JKR/the HP franchise. If you look at his social media you can tell he’s not really an “online” sort of person (good for him, honestly), and since his PS1 Harry Potter game playthroughs do so well, it struck me as a very genuine and honest apology from someone who just didn’t have any idea about the whole thing. He probably couldn’t take down the video because it was sponsored, so that explains why it’s still up. Some trans fans brought it to his attention, from what I understand.

His apology seems genuinely well-received but some of the responses confused me. First of all, a significant amount of people disbelieved that he could have not known about the JKR controversy, or what the extent of it was, and asked why he didn’t just “look it up”… which strikes me as a very chronically online take. I would say like 99% of the world has no idea Harry Potter is problematic. My family (millennial sibling and boomer parents) absolutely had no idea there was any sort of controversy. Adding onto that, JKR’s terfiness is much more well known than the antisemitism of the game in the mainstream media. I’m aware of both… because I’m a Gen z who spends all my time on fandom tumblr, like all the people I saw complaining about the apology. When you think of this youtuber’s situation in particular: straight, cis guy, Catholic, not American, and most of all ***not online***, what’s not adding up??

I guess I just don’t understand the outrage. Guy makes a mistake, apologizes, great! Why do we hold people to this impossible fucking standard and expect them to be mindreaders? I agree it’s good practice to research your sponsors but when it’s a company like Warner Bros. that you’ve worked with before and people have reacted positively to… idk 🤷‍♀️

She got her flower from Wakko and her skirt from Yakko. She's also very protective of them. If a stranger tampers with them, she'll go into a violent rage. (This peeve is even worse than being called "Dottie" since these were gifts from her big sibs)

Webby found out Dot was trans due to some rando who bullied her deciding to out her and Dot had a major panic attack and spiraled which caused her to ignore and avoid Webby and everyone else for days because she was too scared and ashamed to face her

Her bedroom is big, cutesy, and mostly pink

She loves gaming and has a cute set up in her room with a pink monitor, keyboard with cherry blossom flowers as keys, and cute arm and mouse pad (plays Fortnight, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Project Diva, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Overcooked, Outlast, Amanda The Adventurer, Splatoon, +) she also knows all the lore to every one of the games she plays and makes her own ocs

He still comes back to visit her and Yakko but it doesn’t make her feel better because he always leaves to go back home. + because Wakko’s dream is too lead a band and he already lives with his bandmates it means he won’t be around even more

Overworked Mascots Family in my AUs

Okay so this is to explain the whole dynamic of the whole entire family tree when it comes to this Universe

My Universe is also known as Three Toons and a Baby just a hilarious play on Three Men and a Baby,

Mickeys Eldest is Eleanor Patsy born to him and Minnie in 1975, she is MtF Trans she is a joyful sort that will remind you of Lottie from Princess and the Frog she seems spoiled at first but really it's just because she's overly exuberant as Mickey jokes you can hear her excited squeal 3 miles away

She is also the most powerful tune in Hollywood merely because she knows everybody from the janitors to the big CEOs she may gossip at times, but she is known for treating everybody equally. She may have a giant mansion behind wrought iron gates, but even her servants, Maids Butlers, ect, are living the high life while taking care of her and Oliver

One of their Butler's retired and they asked him what he wanted to do he wanted to cruise around the world for the rest of his life so they literally paid him over $200k so he could do that

Eleanor is what we wish Billionares would be, in her world once Elon Musk dropped out of paying for the EU world hunger thing she stepped up and was like Hey I will pay it for him,

Yeah she's a force to be reckoned with her cute little thing is that if she tweaks her nose it activates her magic which she inherited from her parents, but she can do it with a hand wave,

Their second daughter is Marian born right in the middle of the divorce in 2023 although she's biologically Minnies, she doesn't see Minerva as her mother at all since she was raised like Walter with Bugs and Daffy

She is a genius when I am saying this she graduated by the age of 15 from high school she is a leader, very inquisitive, just like Mickey she likes to be challenged to solve problems,

Bugs and Daffys kids are Dorothy Eileen and Oliver a set of twins, Oliver is unique in his albinism being the only Warner toon with it

Oliver is complex as he is with Eleanor but they got together before Mickey, Bugs and Daffy did, so it really doesn't bother anybody despite the weird circumstances that they should by technicality be step siblings,

Oliver has more Daffy in him than his twin he's a gossip who knows his fashion like the back of his hand but his real specialty is Nails he's a nail tech, which is how he hears about the latest gossip in Hollywood.

Dorothy is known as Dolly and she's definitely more of bugs then Daffy, she's the one playing poker on Friday nights living a relatively calm life she's a divorcee with one child named Viola, she's suburban mom wine aunt vibes,

However the real wild card is Louis, he is a donor baby. Anyone remember Honey Bunny before Lola?

As Honey was getting less and less work from Warner, she was planning for her future which included wanting to be a single parent. She was one who wanted a kid, but not the partner. However it was the 90s and nobody would give her the chance so Bugs talked to Daffy and then donated, leading to Louis.

So Louis really wasn't connected to his other siblings as Honey raised him on her own across the country. He didn't even know Bugs was his donor until he was 18 and getting into acting,

Louis is also deaf, he was born this way this didn't change Honeys love at all for him. Fortunately by the time Walter is born in 2027 his mother has dissappeared if you don't understand she's dead because she was forgotten completely. So he does rely as an adult very much on his father's side.

As for the children between Mickey and Bugs that's Walter Fredrick, a mischievous Scamp with a penchant for trouble he's got a brilliant mind and a creative streak as big as his namesakes,

Eventually Walter even does something that no Toon has ever been able to achieve when working with animators one day he is entrusted with a project bringing a Cartoon to life, they do it thinking he can't yes they were trying to be mean

But he teaches them all a lesson when he actually brings a Toon to life, they do not know if this is a part of his gags and ability which he received from Mickey however it is still a shocking turn of events.

He prefers a quiet Studio though and a canvas he's always got paint on him somehow with his paintbrush behind his ear he's definitely like Walt in the sense of he can be larger than life but when alone he's humble gentle and kind

The other three you may see but these guys are not original characters is the Animaniacs Yakko Wakko and Dot Warner however they do have biological ties because of my headcanons and thoughts to Mickey they are his nephews and niece

They are the only three children of Oswald in Ortensia who were forcibly locked away after getting pissed off at the treatment of their family and causing the 1934 fire which took out 15 Acres of the Warner Bros Lots this is why they were locked in the tower

The damage they did was equal to 34 million nowadays. But if you ask them they will still look at you and say it was worth it,

An alarm blared into the early morning, stirring a young kid from his sleep. He groaned as he pulled a mallet out from under his pillow and smashed the alarm, he knew he had to get up but he didn't want to, especially not today.

He made a commitment into telling his brothers something that's been bothering him for about a year now, and he can't go back on that commitment. He already left a note out by the coffee pot and cereal shelf for each brother respectively, he couldn't back out now.

The dog(?) sat up and climbed down the loft bed, making sure to avoid getting his tail caught in his brother's hammock like he had done so many times before, once he got it caught and his brother fell out when he tugged it loose. He cracked open the door, noticing his brothers sitting at the living room eating what looked to be oatmeal and the other drinking coffee in a comically large mug.

He took a deep breath before walking out, knowing he'd be greeted by friendly faces and very wrong words. He quietly walked around them, trying to get a protein bar before he announced it, but luck wasn't on his side today. Yakko glanced towards him and waved, "morning, Dottie! What'd you wanna tell us?"

He froze up, slowly turning around and waving awkwardly back at him "o-oh.. yeah, that..." He forced himself not to grimace at the thought. "I'm gonna wait until... After breakfast! Yeah, can't have an announcement without a proper meal first!"

His other brother piped up from the floor infront of the couch, talking with his mouth full of porridge that he was shoveling into his mouth. He was definitely on his 3rd and last bowl full, he always gets 3 refills of breakfast. "Announthemen'? Wh-" he paused, making sure he didn't choke on his food. "Wha' you mean?" He questioned, holding his head towards the ceiling so he could stop himself from accidently spitting up the oatmeal in his mouth.

"Wakko, did you even read it?" The yaking cat(?) questioned, to which the shorter confidently shook his head no. The eldest rabbit(?) shook his head, pinching the bridge of his snout and sighed. "Dottie wanted to make an announcement on his birthday, if you read it you would have known that."

Dottie slowly tip-toed backwards towards their shared room, quickly closing the door quietly behind him and locking it. He let out a breath he didn't even realize he was holding, leaning against the door before slowly sliding down to the floor.

The mouse(?) dragged his knees to his chest and hugged them, trying to figure out how to tell his brothers. He could pretend it was something el- no. He had to do this. They won't judge him, they're his siblings.

He lied his head on his knees, recounting every way he could explain the situation. Nothing seemed to stick out other than one, and it scared him, but it's who he wants to be.

Dottie sighed and let go of his legs, creaking the door open again, his eyes cartoonishly stretched out from his face as he peered through the crack. His brothers had calmed it seemed, and had already finished their "breakfast" it seemed. How long was he sitting in here? It seemed like only a minute, but a glance at the clock revealed it had been about fifteen minutes.

The cute ferret(?) Slowly closed the door and pushed himself up using the door, walking into their shared closet and taking out an old pink sweater of his brother's as well as a pair of scissors. If he couldn't leave the tower to get new clothes he could make them himself, so that's what he did.

He took some of Yakko's thread and needles that he used to patch up their clothes, and he attempted to sew the piece together, mostly succeeding other than occasionally stabbing his fingers with the needle when pulling it through and accidentally not sewing the side fully and leaving a small hole which he had to go back over with the needle and thread.

They slid on the scraggly sewn together clothing, it's a little tight but at least it won't fall off when they're moving. They grabbed a yellow faux flower from their desk and wrapped the stem around a darker yellow bowtie that they fashioned into a hair tie, wrapping their ears together with it.

The chinchilla(?) Took in a deep breath and covered their eyes before they walked Infront of the large mirror in the corner of the room, they slowly uncovered their eyes as they held their breath.

It was like a switch flipped in the rat's(?) head, this is who she was. She found herself. She let out a small laugh of disbelief as she stared at herself, gloved hand over her agape mouth. She twirled and spun around as she giddily took in her appearance.

A scrappily sewn together hot pink skirt took the place of the purple shorts she had worn earlier, and her ears were tied up with the flower. She loved it so much, she wanted to stay like this forever.

...

But now was the hard part, explaining this to her brothers.

She slowly stood up from the curtsy she was in the middle of performing, and smoothed out the wrinkles as best as she could. (though some of them were sewn into the fabric by her poor sewing attempts.) She sighed, glancing at the door. What would they say? Would they hate her?- no, they love her, they would never hate her.

The adorable raccoon(?) ambled her way to the door, peaking through the doorway as she slowly opened it, the "akkos" were messing with the remote, so she cleared her throat to get their attention. They didn't notice so did it again, which got their attention.

"Dottie? Why are you in the bedroom with the lights off?" Wakko tilted his head, his tongue peaking through the side of his mouth where his tooth was missing.

She took in a deep breath as she quickly turned on the light and pushed the door fully open, "Introducing your new sister," she pushed the door open with the roll of a red carpet before jumping out from behind the door. "Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca III! But you can call me Dot!" She curtsied, mostly to avoid eye contact with them.

She waited, but it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, they paused the movie to hear what she had to say but she wished they hadn't. She heard the sound of the couch creak as both her brothers sat up,

She heard them walking towards her and all she could do was stand there, arms stuck to her sides and staring at the ground.

Yakko stepped in front of her, and she immediately closed her eyes to stop herself from crying. "Can you look at me?" He asked softly, so softly that Dot almost believed nothing bad would happen. Almost she slowly peaked her eyes open and looked up at him, his arms were wide open for a hug as if understanding how much she needed it.

Dot jumped into her brothers arms and wrapped her own around him, nearly knocking him over as she did so. "Dot? Not Dottie anymore?" Wakko asked as he joined in the hug.

"No, just Dot," She muttered into the hug. "Call me Dottie and you die." She semi-joked, not knowing any way to articulate how the name made her feel. They accepted this without a second thought, as if they were finally understanding the immense hatred for her old name.

"Okay, 'Just Dot.'" Yakko joked, resulting in the smallest opossum(?) stomping on his foot.

"We love ya, sis. And we'll love you no matter what, like the blue alien guy from the mouse company says, 'Ohana means Family, family means nobody gets left behind.'" Wakko muttered as he purred into the embrace.

"Wakko that's Stitch." Yakko corrected him.

"No, these are stitches!" The sibling who was 5% salamander held up his tail, which indeed had a lot of stitches. All of which Yakko was aware of because he sewed them.

Dot escaped the embrace, grabbed an anvil from off screen and dropped it on both of their heads.

(Comedy is calling the Warner's literally every animal ever no matter how bizzare)

Synopis: In 1945 Congress and the Senate demand that the Toon Studios of Warner and Disney settle their differences after both are caught forming battlelines. The government forcing them to choose one toon on either side that would be married to each other to cement this bridge.

After being locked up in the water tower in 1934, James Rabbit Aka Yakko Warner would do anything to free his siblings but is he willing to be married off to some Disney Toon named Max Goof for that freedom?

A/N: Something I cooked up for the Yax folks have this sneak peak that I'm sure will make you just as mad as Goofy is over this situation. Yakko is trans as well so TW for misgendering and Misogyny

He growled lowly as the man grabbed his face, Walts eyes narrowing,

"Behave yourself," he said sharply as he moved Yakkos head, looking closely,"Mmm, and you say she's a Warner? Some of the linework it is like ours."

The Warner boss grinned asking innocently,

"Didn't you hear me, Mr Disney? She is from one of your creations. It is why we figured over at Universal and Warner, Yakko would be perfect for your little Max. She is the daughter of Oswald and Ortensia, the Niece of Mickey it would assist in tying the Goof and Mouse families together as well." The CEO chuckled as Walts eyes lit up, his grip tightened, making Yakko wince at the vice like grip, before letting go,

The Animator turned going to his desk,

"She will do then, Max is being redesigned, and she should be as well, I had to go through Marceline over that." He sighed, Yakko could see in his eyes he was tired, he shrugged, pulling out a cigarette,

"It is the government, though. I told her that unless someone else wishes too then this is the only option." He put the object to his lips and lit it, taking a drag he muttered with a shake of the head,

"I don't want to make children grow up faster than they should. However, it has come to this. Just thanking the Lord above that they aren't forcing em to produce offspring, I know Max still has the mindset of a 6 year old, Yakko is that of a pre teen, she has no manners either, one of us would be stuck raising the mongrol to make sure they didn't end up feral."

He took another drag, James had already decided he didn't like this Walt Disney. But it also seemed like he had prior history with his Dad, so he'd play nice for now, putting on a smile fiddling with the skirt he couldn't wait to get out of,

"We are already working on that redesign." The Toon blinked horror shooting through him,

He knew how these animators treated female toons, let alone he didn't want to be, but he remembered Bugs warning of

"Yakko!" The sharp call made him snap to attention, he realized Walt was looking at him, softening his voice to be like they wanted,

"I was saying that you should go with Minnie and Lillian and get your wedding dress sorted this weekend. The event is 7 months away,"

"And I agreed since your redesign is tomorrow"
