there's only two characters in warriors that i think are trans and i will take zero criticism on it. one is nightheart, who is a trans woman and the other is rowanstar who is a trans man. I have a load of other trans headcanons but these two are the only ones that have so much in depth reasoning behind it

nightheart is so transgender to me. his whole arc in the first 2 books is about escaping from a name he hates and expectations of how he should act which he knows he can never meet. he's uncomfortable with his old name. he has to face people telling him that they'll never accept his name change and that he's a disgrace to his family

Tawnyclaw is mates with Rowantooth (claw)! They r butch 4 butch lesbians with Rowan being a trans masc he/him lesbian!!

Main plot changes for them: Rowan treats his wife well (idk if he does in cannon but knowing how the erins write relationships... he probably doesn't LOL); i like the idea of Rowan being cringe fail just his whole life,, like he is badass but just so bad at leadership and NOBODY knows why his dad (Blackstar is his dad) made him his successor lmao; Rowan makes Tawny his Second and she becomes leader after he stepps down, tawny was basically leader even before this bec she needed to make up for her wife's terrible leadership skills... she still loves him tho adfggh

Riverstar - He's gay. He and his husband Mist are a happy couple!

Rowanstar - Randomizer you're going very easy on me. Rowanstar is indeed a trans man, his brother sired his and Tawnypelt's kittens.

Flower Foot - Skystar and Clear Sky's daughter is bisexual!

Strawberrytuft - The renamed Hollytuft is a lesbian! She is secretly mates with Bluebellsong (surviving Bluebellkit), and eventually leaves to join Shadowclan!

Tornear - Tornear is asexual! No mate for this guy!

Owlwhisker - Weird that I got Tornear's apprentice immediately after. He is gay!

Cloudtail - Cloudtail is now a trans woman! And a lesbian!

Echosong - Echosong was bisexual, and poly!

Gravelnose - Gravelnose is... Non-binary! A tolly! They go by They/He, but mostly They.

Nightsky - A poly lesbian! She'll be leaving for Skyclan to be with Pigeonfoot and Palesky!

Darkflower! She is Rowanstar's and Cedarheart's mom and Mate to Scorchwind. She first appears in Fire and Ice in the allegiances, as a black she-cat Queen, but her kits are not listed, as this was before that quality is added to the allegiances. Her final appearance is in the allegiances of A Dangerous Path, as a Warrior. In the main series she remains an allegiances only cat, but she does appear in Tigerclaws Novella, and presumably by mistake in the ultimate guide at the end of Tigerclaw's Leader ceremony as one of the deceased elders, despite being alive as a warrior in both the Novella and the Allegiances of A Dangerous Path. Its unknown how she passes, knowing how inconsistent allegiances only cats can be she may have been alive for longer, funnily enough in the non canon missing kits Su connected her to Kinkfur, a cat that appears in the Power of Three, a long time removed from her last living appearance (and also Pouncetail who appears in post Great Battle SE's but since Darkflower is confirmed in Starclan by this point that's definitely not canon). I'm just saying, lots of room for fanfiction.

Other than a couple speaking lines (including one during The Last Hope in Starclan's meeting about the final battle) There is very little on the pages written about her. She presumably should have been alive during Yellowfangs secret despite not appearing in that book if her mate really is scorchwind, but that info is only verified by the website family tree so, who knows really, He also wasn't in the main series at all at the time she would have had her kits. Otherwise she would have been another premature apprentice by Brokenstar, much like Dawncloud. I made her a tortie because she has a red solid son (whether you headcanon Rowan trans or not she still needs red in her genetics to have him). Also Her eye color is never confirmed, but there is a pretty heavy fan bias toward blue so I compromised with blue iris and yellow sclera.

Idk if this has been answered, but what's the situation with Rowan and Tawny's kits? From their birth to their own kittens and birth order and such

So to begin with... their birth is a little up in the air because I have made Rowanclaw trans. I'm not sure where the kits come from; but it is important they are related to Tigerstar else he would have slaughtered Flametail's ghost in AVoS... and I also would like to keep Brokenstar's genes present.

It could be the case that Brambleclaw was their donor (born to Rowan), or, Littlecloud (born to Tawny) is also a possibility... though they'd REALLY need to convince Littlecloud that it's fine because he takes his vow incredibly seriously.

But anyway, however they got these kittens aside, the Tawnyrowan kits are now part of two litters. The older one, Flametail and Dawnpelt, are about the same age as canon and have similar roles.

Tigerheart

Tigerheart was born in a litter of about 2 others, but both died and Tawnypelt had a bit of a Bluestar moment. "Okay fine StarClan, you want to take my kids? This one's named Tigerkit. Take it if you dare." Tigerpaw is apprenticed to Marshwing, and they go on the Beaver Journey which is where she meets Dovepaw.

Tigerheart is also trans now-- specifically she is transfemme.

Her oldest children with Dovewing, Shadowsight, Lightleap, and Pouncestep are biologically Bumblestripe's. Tigerheart adopts them. Lightleap looks a lot like Tigerheart as a really funny "coincidence"

coincidence = Purdy was on hypokit duty in StarClan that day

Rowankit and Birchkit of ASC, when we get there, are the couple's biokits.

Also I'm considering eliminating Pouncestep because she is redundant. Either in Bonefall TBC during a battle, or she just won't be born.

Dawnpelt

Dawnpelt is Tiger's cool older sister, and her loss affects Tiger massively. It's the second major death in the family, and Rowanstar is lost shortly after. I have plans for hers and Crowfrost's kits; Juniperclaw, Sleekwhisker, and Strikestone.

Juniperclaw and Sleekwhisker are similar to canon, but Sleekwhisker has some interesting reworks. She also becomes mates with Raven.

Strikestone I'm just, not killing. He's one of my little background blorbos and I like him too much, not to mention how massive of a waste it was genetically. He's Shadowsight's dark-humored older cousin.

I'll probably use him as a father to some kittens later, since ShadowClan's canonical family tree is so deeply fucked that I'm tossing the whole thing out; expect this tree to be extremely canon-divergent from AVoS onward.
