Garroth being made fun of when he was younger for 'looking boyish' and Garroth being actually happy about it, but unable to express it.

Garroth ending up being tall and broad, and then bulking up enough that he mostly just looks like a cis guy who doesn't grow facial hair.

Lucinda clocking him anyway, and saying she's got a little something that would fix the 'no facial hair' issue.

Garroth suddenly understanding why Lucinda is so insistant about showing off her curves. She made em' herself to fit(Magic is awesome).

Lucinda and Garroth both being surprised when Laurance and Aphmau find out and basicly just respond 'cool' and move on.

Garroth and Lucinda ending up as much closer friends than in the original series.

Ooo thanks for asking!! It's not super deep but here it is! I think the song is meant to be about the singer being trapped in a relationship with this girl who won't leave him alone, named Lucinda. My interpretation is centered around changing "let me be, Lucinda" into "let me be Lucinda" -- note the comma --, so the song becomes about a trans woman named Lucinda who isn't being supported/allowed to come out.

A lot of the verses are about not changing and being unhappy with the way things are now, so it fits pretty well in my opinion! ex. "seasons change, but I'm not changing" and "I'm alive, but this ain't living." Some parts of it I also see as the narrator characterizing Lucinda as separate from themself, like "let me sleep, Lucinda" = kept up at night by gender thoughts, and "but she's not burning" = no matter what, Lucinda is still there inside of the narrator -- along with the previous line, "I still burn," others/the narrator themself are trying to "get Lucinda out" of them by hurting them, like "burn her out", but it's not working. "All I want/is to be/alone" might mean they only feel comfortable being themself alone -- perhaps wanting time to dress as a woman, as most of the other trans Brobecks songs involve crossdressing. Even "I'm a fool, but she's not foolin'" kinda works -- the narrator feels silly for wanting to be a woman, but thinks that everyone can see through them and knows they're trans.

Some Mystreet headcannons;

Aaron definitely has a tattoo sleeve on one of his arms, he still wears his dog-tags from military-school (despite the rules, he felt more free then with his dad.)

Aphmau has ADHD, like terribly, and will often hyperfixate on small things for DAYS, She's medicated, but often forgets to take it.

Garroth is a Bi disaster, he just doesn't realize it. People he currently has crushes on? Aphmau, Kim, Laurance, and Aaron (Brought on by watching how sweetly he treats Aphmau, go figure.)

Katelyn and Aphmau made out once in college, after Luca obviously. Neither have mentioned it since but both enjoyed it.

Kawaii~Chan and Aaron are incredibly close freinds, She knew about his chocolate allergy before Aphmau did and would make him peanut-butter based sweets. Aaron is also incredibly protective (and affectionate) of her, just much as he is of Aph.

Zane and Kim share snark, with them constantly trading barbs and antagonizing each other. It's fine, they love it, it drives Ghost mad.

Nicole is related to the Lycan family, not directly, but she calls the Lycan sibs "Cousin"

Vlayd can see the future, it's why he bailed after season 1, fuck that shit, he's in Vegas.

Lucinda has tried to get everyone in bed with her at least once, at varying points.

Laurance is trans. Fite me.

Wait, wait, Malcolm is transgender?! Wow, I only found out about this now!

Yup. There are a couple references to it in book 1. Someone tries to dead name him on Hazel's route. Lucinda never refers to him as her son. Just her 'child'. And at one point he is shirtless and you ask about his scars. He lets you know he got in a fight with his boobs and won.

But yes, Mal is trans. I struggled a lot with how to present that in the story because it felt really weird for him to just tell people since he is a he. But I kind of like the idea of it not being a conversation. Because why should it? Especially right now.

Lucinda forced herself to wait five minutes as she read what she could before she gathered the papers and shoved her chair back. “Going to just...” She thumbed towards the door. Rolling them into a cylinder so they were easier to carry, she ran up the street, skidding around the corner into the alley. She stopped, panting, at the bottom of the fire escape. “You walk fast!” she told Sara, who had paused at the top to look over at her.

“Problem, Cinders?” Sara asked.

“I’m going to kill you,” Lucinda huffed, “but also I’m like, super grateful, like incredibly, massively grateful.”

“You know how I feel about gratitude, Cinders,” was the curt reply, but she could hear a smile in it. “I owe you nearly two years of wages.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Lucinda waved a hand at her before standing back up.

“Are you coming up?” the queen asked. “Don’t you have an application to read thoroughly and fill out?”

“I’m coming up, I’m coming up,” Lucinda wheezed. “I’m gonna do it in the office. Safer. And I’ve got another person to yell at.”

“Good choice,” Sara said, “don’t yell too loud, I’ll be working. Oh, and, since you are here... I have something else to discuss with you.” She disappeared through the door.

When Lucinda caught up with her she asked, “You want to discuss first, or is my intended plan of application, yell at Will, then discuss inconvenient?”

“Hmm. I suppose it might affect your application choices so we’d better talk first.” Sara sat herself in the office chair and steepled her hands in front of her face. “I’d like you to take over the running of Rent-A-Legend.”

Lucinda just stared at her.

“Not immediately,” Sara added. “In a few years perhaps. If you want to. If you don’t, I need to find another suitable candidate.”

“Me?” was all Lucinda could think to ask.

“(redacted for spoilers) You know how everything works, you know all the doors. I trust your judgement on who to bring in.”

“But... me?”

“You’re not ready now, I know that,” Sara told her. “But college would be a perfect time to learn what you need. I looked over those prospectuses and there are some good electives you could take.”

“Me, though? Like, me? Lucinda ‘didn’t read that contract’ Martin?”

“If you don’t want to, then just say so,” Sara prompted.

“I just... Wow.” The only chair in the office being occupied, Lucinda sat on the floor. After some minutes of silence she said, “I want to keep working here for sure. I never thought it would be as the boss, but... I can try? But... I wanted to help Rosie with her vampire research too. She offered to make me her apprentice. Is that going to be okay?”

“It’s up to you,” Sara replied, laying her arms flat on the desk. “Whatever you think you can handle. I don’t want to push you into anything.”

“I’ll try.” Lucinda stood up again. “It gives me something to aim for. I... I had no idea what I was aiming for. This helps.” She squeezed the papers in her hand. “Um... I have some things to talk to you about too.”

“Go ahead.”

“I uh... think I want to be a girl, if that’s okay? I’m happy being a prince but like... I want to stop pretending to be a boy. It’s starting to bug me a bit.”

“Hmm.” Sara steepled her fingers again. “Story karma doesn’t seem to care, so neither do I. Very well. Besides, if you are to run this place, you must make decisions as you see fit.”

“Okay.” Lucinda was a little caught off guard by how easy that was. “I think I’d also like try a few quests as a magical girl. Probably not with Hettie, not at first, I think her and Lolotte will work better without me, but I’d like to try. I’m going to start learning magic. I don’t plan to learn anything too flashy, but some would be helpful and I already know a bunch of potions.”

“(redacted). I have no objections,” Sara agreed. “You know more about these new types of stories than I do, another reason you’re a suitable candidate.”

Repo thought Luci was a boy for a very very long time. Moths can be subtle in their difference of genders, but generally females have larger wings and thinner antenna. Being mutated, and not having any other mutated moths to compare to, Repo didn't really have a lot to go on. He assumed Luci was a boy because of how small she was. Luci is also shaped more androgynously, and her clothes mainly came from Repo anyway. When they first met, she looked even more gender neutral. In the US, 'Lucy/Luci' is considered to be a unisex name and could be short for Lucius (a masculine name) or others, so Repo didn't really bat an eye when Luci said she wanted to be called it. When Luci actually looked up her name (spelling it the less common way as Luci), she found it to be a shortened version of Lucinda so she thought that's what her full name was.

Luci, not knowing these things at first, didn't think to bring it up to Repo when she found out and understood she was female because it just wasn't an important thing on her mind. But as she got older, and Repo kept giving her certain things, she wondered if he was aware of this or if he truly didn't know.

In case of any confusion: Luci is not trans (though I was quite tempted to). It was just Repo misunderstanding because I thought this would be funny. idk, I thought this was cute! And it'd be something Luci could make fun of Repo for (though Repo immediately telling Todd likely led to Todd telling Pico, and Luci would be forever embarrassed by it)

- hung around lucinda a lot to learn magic from her so she could become a better witch ! still retains the ability animate dolls into little maids, though it doesn't stick for very long so often times she has to reapply magic onto a doll when the spirit magic runs out, this is mostly because i think that, even though i think she has practiced magic users in her family that are quite powerful, it diluted over time.

- runs a multishipping blog that's semi-famous, makes a lot of content for her favourite ships and goes by "kc" on it

- magical girl anime is a special interest of hers!! she also really likes doing the work of gods and archiving generally not well known magical girl manga and anime online, sometimes subbing an ova or two and or doing the typesetting for certain mangas if she feels up to it, because being able to speak japanese also helps greatly in archiving otherwise "lost" media, she thinks of herself as a magical girl conoisseur

adding onto that, she also knows how to rip footage from vhs tapes and dvds to aid in her archiving and for her own personal use!

and also, magical girl anime sort of helped her realise that she was trans

- still protective of aphmau, but also, among aphmau's other friends, begs her to not cause any trouble ! nana doesn't ship aarmau in this rewrite, mostly because she recognizes the fuckin age gap and how creepy that would be! aphmau and aaron are just friends in this, where aphmau is a feral little freshman that thinks she's hot shit and aaron is a tired senior telling her that no, she isn't, and helps her study for werewolf class! nana has claws for a reason though she Will use it on people who threaten Any of her friends.
