Thinking about transmasc sanji again... who undergoes top surgery before he joins the strawhats and doesnt tell anyone that hes trans. The only person who knows (that hes aware of, Robin knows everything) is Chopper who gives him his HRT shots. He's convinced Luffy (and Chopper somehow) that he has an illness that he must be given a shot for every month or he'll die just to keep them off his back (he stole the idea from Ussop). He is the only morning showerer and intentionally schedules his time in the bathroom to when everyone else is asleep.

Sanji learns what it means to be a man from the chefs at the Baratie. He purposefully twists his love of women to look horny in the eyes of others, because thats what he saw the chefs do. He refuses to show any positive affection to men and channels it into aggression instead because thats what he saw Zeff do to the other chefs. And leans so hard into being masculine that no one will ever be able to question his masculinity.

He is finally able to internalize that its okay to be himself when hes on Momoiro island, and learns that you can still be masculine and wear dresses and feel pretty. And when he comes back after the timeskip and finally comes out to all of them.

No worries! It's p easy to get in a huff about this (I know I did lol) and it took me a hot minute to go "Oh they think I mean this in a Terf Safe way instead of Terfs Fuck Off way." But I did follow the OP of that post and have been keeping a close watch on how Tumblr's been treating trans women in the past few months. It's a snarky tag meant to be a condemnation of Tumblr's moderation instead of something for Tumblr and its users/mod team to be proud of.

Predestination being a scifi film obviously takes some liberties with how both time and biology work but I think it works just really well to show us how the protagonist never had a choice both in terms of the ouroboros situation and their gender by tying it to something real life intersex people unfortunately go through all the time.

We know that they struggled with their identity from their childhood so we don't actually know what they would identify as if they had been informed and given a choice - if they had chosen to live as Jane or John or someone else entirely

tbh im always a little bit haunted by the first tumblr radfem meetup i ever went to. they were nice ladies nd all. we met up a few times we made a discord i actually dated one of the gals for like a year. but i do remember when we went on a night out and we went to a shitty lesbian bar that is well-known locally for not being much of a lesbian bar. and there were a lot of dudes there like a lot of straight-up 'cis' dudes. but one of the gals after a few drinks started getting all up in this transwomans business like "this is a LESBIAN bar you aren't a lesbian you're a man why are you here!! why are you fucking here!!" and this transwoman was like. im just here bc its a bar in the gay village idk. im just here. and i did get a little between them bc the gal was getting a bit verbally aggressive. and its not like the transwoman was getting particularly aggressive back but i was like ok we are stopping this shes drunk and im sorry like just. sorry but just walk away please. but it was like. listen girl i know ur mad that there's no such thing as a real lesbian bar i get it. but there are so many fucking dudes here. if a transwoman is just a regular-ass man to u then why did u pick THIS one regular-ass man to start a fight with. like there are SO many dudes here. but u arent starting on any of them. u picked the transwoman specifically. like she wasn't doing anything she wasn't harassing anyone and no shes not a lesbian yes shes male but why did u pick HER instead of any random dude here. well. i know why we all know why.
