I am at the crossroads between waking and dream. One path leads back to the world I left behind. The other path … the other path leads to a place of shadows. Between the familiar and the unknown, between certainty and doubt, my choice would seem obvious. Any sane man would turn around, return to the world he knows, forget what he has learned, and live his life in blissful ignorance. But in truth, it is too late. My choice was made many years ago, when I first embarked on this journey. I cannot turn back. I am at a crossroads, but for me there is only one path. I leave behind these words in the hope that, someday, they will serve as a map for someone else. To whomever reads this, Godspeed on your journey. If you ever decide to follow in my footsteps, look me up.

Yolett-McPhee-McClain, the head coach of the Ole Miss women's basketball team, is one such remarkable individual. Let's explore her inspiring journey from her childhood years to her current role as a trailblazing coach in the league. Yolett McPhee-McClain was born and raised in Freeport, Bahamas. From an early age, she displayed a deep love for basketball that would shape her future career. Growing up in a supportive family environment, she was encouraged to pursue her dreams and develop her skills on local courts. During high school at Tabernacle Baptist Christian Academy in Freeport, McPhee-McCain quickly established herself as a standout player with exceptional talent and leadership qualities. Her dedication to improving both on and off the court earned her recognition among college recruiters across America. After completing high school with an impressive track record, Yolett McPhee-McClain received numerous scholarship offers from esteemed universities across America. She ultimately decided to attend Palm Beach Community College (now Palm Beach State College) before transferring to Jacksonville University (JU), where she continued to shine brightly on the basketball court. McPhee-McClain's collegiate career at JU showcased her versatility as a player and leader within the team. Known for her tenacity on defense and ability to score from various positions on offense, she became an integral part of JU's success during those years while earning multiple accolades along the way. Following graduation from JU with numerous accomplishments under her belt, Yolett McPhee-McClain set out to pursue professional opportunities within women's basketball leagues around the world. She played internationally before joining teams within domestic leagues such as the American Basketball Association (ABA) and Women's National Basketball League (WNBL). While playing professionally provided valuable experience,McPhee-McClain's true passion for the game led her to transition into coaching roles. She began her coaching career as an assistant coach at Clemson University before moving on to other collegiate coaching positions. In 2015, Yolett McPhee-McClain was appointed as the head coach of the Ole Miss women's basketball team, marking a significant milestone in her career. Taking on this role allowed her to make a lasting impact on young athletes while shaping a program's future. Under McPhee-McClain's leadership, the Ole Miss Rebels have experienced positive growth and development. Her coaching style emphasizes discipline, hard work, and fostering a positive team culture. She instills confidence in her players while pushing them to reach their full potential both on and off the court. McPhee-McClain's commitment extends beyond basketball skills; she prioritizes mentorship and personal growth for her players.
