Hi everyone! I got accepted into a writers residency for poetry and am short on rent for my move-in to my new apartment in late july. would appreciate if you could reblog this or donate. its a great chance to refine my craft as a writer. ill be going to classes and workshops and learning from people in the industry. im jobless right now because im disabled (in both fibromyalgia and C-PTSD which both make it difficult to hold down a job for long), and i do have some money saved up but its for eventual top surgery and its not enough. i need 520 by july 1st for rent and electric and 2040 more by July 18th for the residency. i have a cashapp, venmo, and paypal you can donate to as well. please share this and invest in black trans futures. this will really help me advance and is a great oppurtunity. and i'd like enough money to secure housing too. thank you.

I’m a struggling disabled afro-latinx nb trans guy who makes art, and I could really use more patrons on my patreon so I can come closer to working less and relying on my art for a living more! I’m currently at a job where after a year of working there I’ve only gotten a 5 cent raise, I don’t get enough hours, and I’ve been passed up for promotions twice despite my experience, so I could REAAAAAALLLLLLLY use more patrons!

#reflecting o Honoring my journey on #transdayofvisibility , Uplifting my transcestors who stood before me, Celebrating the #tqpoc wildflowers that exist radically moment by moment. Today, my spirit has been fed and filled by my kindred, family and community. There were so many moments I exuded in the joy of being Black, Queer and Trans with others, but one moment resonates deeply. There was a white trans person who bought 5 copies of my book, #InspiredbyaBlackWoman and reserved 3 (yes) copies for fellow #tpoc that may not be able to afford a copy, but desired one. Yo...my heart and eye balls. Today was a good day. In addition to that, 40% of black trans people said they hadn't seen a doctor in the past year because they couldn't afford it while 26% said they didn't see a doctor for fear of being mistreated.

tired but i feel good abt my new handpoke tattoo by my dear friend - it was a gift - literally, given as a gift - to hold ceremony and watch this protector come into being. my friend named them "lightning shield"! AND i feel good abt my face today. i feel properly sunned and glowy. despite my hair looking like an early 20s white nonbinary dye job </3

i like that im covering myself with people's art and that my friend has let me claim four of her pieces. next month im holding ceremony again with a (found) family member of theirs - another chest piece.

around four i held ceremony with myself and painted abstract art for the first time since february or march. it felt good even tho im in pain.

i sat in a graveyard and discussed my art over discord with the author that inspired the piece. that also felt gratifying and warming. i realized im an abstract artist (who took to suprematism so well) in my poetry AND fine art because of the way my brain tends to ground what im exploring abstractly in a concrete framework of tactility. its nice to discuss art!
