❝regeneration❞ | Alastor x time-Lord! reader
(SPOILERS FOR THE END OF SEASON 1 OF HAZBIN HOTEL)
note: this has been stuck in my head for a while, and I know it's random, but I really wanted to write a crossover one shot between HH & DW because I love these two shows so much T-T
Summary: after the battle between the extermination angels and the Hazbin Hotel staff, y/n had thought that all the drama was finally over and she could get back to trying to figure out how to get back to the doctor and their companion... That was the plan, but the universe seemed to have another plan stored for her.
y/n smiled at her friends, feeling relief washed over her as they finally finished constructing the new and improved Hazbin Hotel. She couldn't stop the swelling feeling in her stomach that something else would happen that day, but she had ignored it, continuing her conversation with her friends. If only she could include them as one of her companions, but the universe would never allow that, she doesn't even know why the universe would allow her in hell like this. She wondered if the doctor and his companion were looking for her.
It's been months since she last saw her fellow time-Lord and the human companion he had accompanied them. She had never been fond of humans, or human companions. Their lives were a blink, and they had such evil in their hearts. But after getting to know those human companions of his throughout history, she couldn't help but get attached to their species and their planet. Everything was so fascinating about them, especially when she had gotten sucked into Hell by accident when something had pulled the TARDIS. It was blurry on how they got separated, all she knows is that the two are either lost or are looking for her.
Her teeth grind together as she feels something beneath her skin pulse hard. No, not now. "Uh, hey toots, you okay?" Angel dust asked, which stopped everyone's conversations. y/n looked at them, a golden hue glistening from her skin.
"y/n, you've got, uh something on your skin." Lucifer said, pointing at his face. She stood up from her spot on the stool in front of the bar.
"no. No, no, no, no." y/n said, her body facing her friends. They've never seen a regeneration, they knew she wasn't humans, but the fact that this was how she would end her life, in hell of all places. She looked up at them, fear lacing her features. "No, please, I don't want to go. Not yet, I..." Tears started to stream down her face. Everyone looked at her as her hands started to also glow with the same sparkly golden hue. Alastor's smile strained, watching the person he surprisingly got close to, look at them helplessly.
"what's happening to you?" Charlie asked in a panic, wanting to help, but not understanding what to do. y/n turned around to face the front doors when she heard a voice she hadn't heard since the incident with TORCHWOOD.
"I'm regenerating..." She breathed, watching as a familiar blonde smiled her way. "Rose..." She said, watching the blonde walk up to her slowly.
"uh, who?" Angel spoke, confused.
"the first person to ever see this face. She's in another dimension, with another me. They're happy... She's happy." She watched the blonde raise a hand and put it on her cheek.
"I miss you," Rose whispered, letting her face go and backing up from her slightly.
"I miss you too. I'm sorry I never got the chance to tell you sooner," y/n said sadly, wishing she could actually feel her, but she couldn't. The time-Lord turned back around to her friends, her eyes meeting Alastor's. If there was anyone else she wanted her new face to first see, it would be the Radio Demon.
She held a hand out towards him, walking slowly to him, before stopping, the pain of the regeneration was great. She looked up at the ceiling, her arms now out. "Get back!" She heard someone yell as she screamed in pain, the energy leaving her body as it reshaped her cells into a new person. She didn't want to leave, but it was time. Sometimes, she hated to cheat death.
Once it was over, she leaned forward, gasping for breaths. Something with her voice sounded weird, but she didn't understand it. She grabbed her face and gasped, "oh my God! I'm a man!" y/n exclaimed, surprised with the new regeneration body. His eyes landed onto Alastor, who looked just as shocked as the rest. Never in their lives before death did they ever witness a regeneration. It was all new to them.
y/n walked quickly towards Alastor, which startled him, as he backed away and into the bar, sitting on one of the stools as y/n went between his legs to get a good look at the demon's face. y/n ran his tongue over his teeth, and gasped again, "new teeth! Ha! Now I know how the doctor feels! Hey, you're pretty cute for a dead guy!" y/n looked over Alastor's voice again before getting out of his space. "Boy, am I hungry. You've got apples? I sure do love apples! Honestly, I can never be sure though. New mouth, new rules. Such as, I have to go shopping for some men's clothes. Wow! I haven't done that in years!" He laughed. Though, before anything else could happen, he suddenly felt very sleepy. "Oh, boy, someone better catch me."
"are... Are you gonna faint?" Charlie asked, walking slowly over to the new figure.
"mmm, in about, twelve seconds." He stuck his tongue out. His eyes rolled in the back of his head as he fell forwards, Charlie catching him as the radio demon rushed to them.
"what just happened?" Angel was confused, like all of them.
"I have no idea." Vaggie shook her head with a sigh.
"I think I'm gonna need a drink after this." Husker grumbled, watching as Charlie and Alastor out the newly regenerated y/n on the lobby couch.
"you and me both," Lucifer nodded. Things would only get more interesting from this moment on. Especially with y/n already choosing his own companion, even though they're already dead. But what's the worst that could happen? By definition, he was a God, and he could do anything he wanted. Screw what the universe thinks, he doesn't have to be alone anymore. Sure he had the doctor and the companion, but he never had a companion of his own. Hopefully it'll be more forgiving to him this time.
This is just a one shot, but if anyone wants a continuation from this, I'll be happy to write this whole crossover into a short story, or something. Yes, it's still an Alastor story, and I know he didn't talk in this one shot, I just didn't know what he'd say in this situation, considering it was new for everyone in the hotel.

Listening to the (radio drama) the dead line and Ianto's monologue while Jack lies in a coma is killing me aaaaaaa
I'm not much of a talker, Jack, you know that, but I'll talk to you now on the off-chance that it helps. Just promise me, if you're hearing this that when you come round - and you're going to, Jack, you're gonna come out of this - just promise me you'll never bring up anything I say to you now. How's that? Have we got a deal?
This must be the longest I've ever looked at you and not seen you smile. I've watched you in your sleep. Did you know that? So many times, just woken up beside you in the middle of the night, and watched you. Watched your eyes moving behind your eyelids as you dreamed. I tried to imagine what a man like you could possibly dream about. The things you've seen, the lives you've lived, the people you've loved. I wondered if you were dreaming about me. I hoped you were dreaming about me.
But let's be honest, Jack, I'm nothing more than a blip in time for you. Every day I grow a little older, but you're immortal. You've already lived a thousand lifetimes. How could you watch me grow old and die? How can I watch you live and never age a day? I suppose we both know that will never be a problem, not in this job. No one in Torchwood ever lives to draw their pension, do they? (Laugh.)
Even if by some miracle I survive to see my hair turn grey, or God forbid, fall out, I don't kid myself you'd still be around to see it. One day, you'll go again, just like you did before, and this time you won't be back. Maybe that's what you're dreaming about those nights when I watched you sleeping. Maybe that's why, even when you sleep, I see you smile. But you haven't gone yet, Jack. I know that. I know you're coming back to me.
#torchwood#ianto jones#janto#SO NORMAL ABOUT THIS AUGH#but also i am feeling sooo validated in the fic i am writing rn hehehe

All Clara-era scripts now online at BBC Writers Room
It's possible it's been this way for a while, but the BBC Writers' Room website has done a massive upload of Doctor Who scripts to its Script Library in PDF format.
Basically, every script for every episode produced since 2005 is now online, as well as complete scripts for Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures, Class, and some other spin-off works like the animated episodes. Even the BBC Radio produced Torchwood audio dramas (which predated Big Finish getting the TW licence) that were made to promote I think Children of Earth (which is included too for Capaldi completists). More than 200 in total.
Of course this also includes all the Series 7, 8 and 9 episodes featuring Clara, including some alternate shooting and "picture lock" scripts.
A number of these have been online for a while, but a number haven't been previously. And it's interesting to see what's in these scripts. As noted by another poster, the infamous "I love you" is not in the script for Mummy on the Orient Express, but in the script for Before the Flood Clara's plea "If you love me in any way you'll come back" IS (though the "I don't want to think about that" part does explicitly reference Danny in a sentence that was removed when the scene was shot).
I also note with interest that the Doctor Who scripts are divided into two sections: one covering 2005-2022 and the other covering 2023 onwards, adding credence to the reports that the BBC are treating the current iteration as a restart, not a continuation per se.
Anyway, head to the Script Library and start digging!
CORRECTION: Not all the nuWho era scripts are up. Only a couple of scripts from Series 1 (Eccleston) have been posted as yet.

60 Years of Doctor Who on iPlayer
To mark the 60th Anniversary of Doctor Who, the BBC is to make over 800 episodes of the series and its spin-offs available on iPlayer.
The episodes will be released on iPlayer from the start of next month, with each one having subtitles, audio description, and sign language available. It will be the biggest collection of Doctor Who ever available on the iPlayer with hundreds of episodes available with multiple accessibility features for the first time.
With the Anniversary Specials due to hit our screens, next month, viewers will have the opportunity to travel back in time with any of the Doctors through the show’s 60-year history with the classic series, as well as explore the vast world of Doctor Who with spin-offs like the Sarah Jane Adventures, Torchwood and Class, or step behind-the-scenes with every episode of Doctor Who Confidential – all available in one place - BBC iPlayer.
With over 800 episodes of Doctor Who programming on iPlayer, Russell T Davies, Showrunner said:
I’d like to thank the BBC for all the hard work, to get this massive back catalogue under one roof, at long last. I'm so excited for new viewers - imagine being 8 years old, spending winter afternoons exploring the 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond. And we’re determined this won't be a dusty museum - we have exciting plans to bring the back catalogue to life, with much more to be revealed!
Dan McGolpin, Director of iPlayer and channels, said:
Doctor Who has captivated countless millions of viewers on the BBC for 60 years and in celebration of this special moment we are bringing classic series to BBC iPlayer for the first time. Fans will be able to enjoy many of the Doctor’s earliest adventures with William Hartnell right through to the very latest series and the soon to be released and tremendously exciting new anniversary specials with David Tennant. We want everyone to be able to enjoy this breath-taking back catalogue, so we are making each episode on iPlayer as accessible as possible, with subtitles, audio description, and sign language all available for the first time.
As the companion to the back catalogue, the BBC will simultaneously launch an extensive online archive from the show’s history at bbc.co.uk/doctorwho, with everything from interviews with cast to written documents, long unheard audio, and behind-the-scenes photos. Together, they tell the story of the ground-breaking series through 60 archive gems for the 60th anniversary.
The archive invites fans to delve even deeper into the show with curated journeys such as the genesis of Doctor Who, where audio from former Head of Drama, Sydney Newman alongside documents with his original handwritten notes guide you through the origins of Doctor Who.
In its beginning stages, this new site will feature curated journeys through the archive to bring the show’s extensive history to life for fans – with items like interviews with cast members, news pieces, audio, imagery, and written documents.
Over time, more content will be added to the archive including a special collection of photos that have been scanned at 8k resolution from an estimated total of 25,000 prints, negatives, slides and digital images, which will give an unprecedented insight into the show with access to all areas throughout the years.
The expanded archive will also feature additional gems from over 100,000 documents, including memos, correspondence, designs, and audience research, alongside orchestral scores of sheet music.
Also being added is a selection of audio clips about Doctor Who, including radio programmes, documentaries, interviews, and music.
BBC iPlayer’s back catalogue and the online archive will launch on 1st November before David Tennant returns as the Fourteenth Doctor for three special 60th-anniversary episodes.

Torchwood Jack and Ianto general doodles
Oh yeah I am back into Torchwood. I think the reason might be been that I recently bought season 2 boxset in Japanese during my Tokyo trip.
I think back then I was too scared/insecure about my artwork not matching the likeness of the actors. But now I am drawing fanart of other live action BL dramas like Sepakoi and Zettai BL and even some Kamen Rider fanart. I think WHY THE HELL NOT?!
Torchwood is a series important to me, I grew up on it. I am acutally NOT a Dr who fan at all.
So I am going to draw some colored comics/doodles basied on my favourite couple: Jack and Ianto.
They have been maybe the earilest gay couple that I was invested in way before BL dramas.
So here is how I am going to draw them, maybe the only change I will do is Jack's hair color because it's a similar color to Ianto's. I know both John and Gareth have the same color/shade of blue eyes but I decided Jack will have a lighter shade of blue compaired to Ianto's.
I MISS THESE TWO! But listening to the Big finish audio dramas/radio dramas I realised that I REALLY LOVE THESE TWO TOGETHER.
Speaking of Audio dramas
Snice I have been listening non stop to Torchwood audio dramas lately. I want to cover them with some doodle comics because they run in my head as I listen to them.
Update: House of the dead is complete with 26 pages of doodles lol, I really WANT TO COMMIT and do the other audio dramas as well. That's the goal of this mini project/dumb idea of mine.
Wish me luck lol.

A Whovian Watches Star Trek for the First Time: Part 075 - Saving the Earth
Star Trek: Enterprise - Season 3 Episode 24 - Zero Hour
Time to wrap up Season 3, and the chase to reach the weapon, before it reaches earth is on!
Seeing Hoshi in this state of self guilt and not sure who she's talking to hurts, I don't like that archer is pushing her like this. She needs time to recover, especially in regards to him wanting to bring her onto the sphere with the strike team.
After that discussion, Archer gets time jumped into the future by Daniels, again. This time 7 years into Archer's personal future, to the founding of the Federation that Daniels keeps drip feeding us about. However, Daniels is unable to convince archer to change his mind about anything.
Hoshi, even in her current state, has made good progress, but unfortunately the reptilian ship has drifted from the Weapon. The reptilian ship attacks and destroys one of Earth's research satellites, with around 40 civilian targets on board. I get that that's tragic and all, but Archer literally did something similar to a Xindi research station less than 5 ago, he has very little room to be sad about this.
The reptilians prepare to open fire on Degra's ship, but thankfully the Andorians arrive in the nick of time to take care of things. My man, Shran is the MVP, Archer owes him indeed. Shran's appearance gives the crew a chance to get onto the weapon and start disabling it. The final fistfight between Archer and Dolim was also amazingly brutal. Archer, however doesn't make it out.
Meanwhile, Enterprise is going down into a spacial anomaly to attack one of the key spheres and knock out the Sphere network. The anomoly is wrecking the same cellular decay on the crew that the test subject was undergoing. Then, the Sphere builders board Enterprise and start tearing it apart. Luckily they take down the sphere and all the others with it.
After the fighting, while Enterprise awaits to rendezvous with the other team, we get just a little bit of flirting between T'Pol and Trip, which was nice to see.
We only really get to see T'Pol and Phlox's reactions to loosing archer, not even the team who he was with on Degra's ship. Everyone's reactions to seeing Earth again was beautiful, however everything is short lived, because no broadcasts have been coming from Earth or the Moon. Something is wrong. When a shuttle touches down, weapons start opening fire, and they're not from Enterprise's era. We've gone back in time to World War Two, Archer has been left in Nazi hands, and there's an alien commanding these Nazis, and that's the cliffhanger we're left on. Bit of a bombshell to end the season on.
The action in this episode was excellent, both the battle on the weapon and the battle on Enterprise. This Season finale was really good, but I'm happy we're finished with this whole Xindi arc. As much as I've loved the side episodes here, this seasons arc has not been it for me. I'm really interested to see where the series goes now that Archer and Enterprise are Stranded in World War 2. Also seeing Shran again was a highlight.
Comparing my Enjoyment of this Episode with a Doctor Who Universe Story of the Same Title
Torchwood: Aliens Among Us - Episode 7 - Zero Hour
Yep, Spin Off of a Spin Off. In 2017 Big Finish used it's licence to make Doctor Who Universe Radio Drama to start Torchwood: Aliens Among Us, a continuation. They had already done a few audio dramas set after Torchwood: Miracle Day, but Aliens Among Us was marketed as a true Season 5 of Torchwood, despite the change of Media and replacing the various members of the cast that died throughout the show.
On the whole, I do like the Torchwood Continued saga, it does fall into a lot of the same pitfalls as the actual Torchwood series does, but that's definitely by design in recapturing the show's vibes, and the series is genuinely well written. Aliens Among Us is wonderful. It's cast is in some ways even better than the Original Torchwood team.
But this segment is about it's 7th Episode, Zero Hour. Zero Hour is focus story for Tyler Steele, one of the new additions to the cast that Aliens Among Us throws in. The episode also takes on a sort of allegory for how companies such as Deliveroo and Uber exploit their workers, and does it wonderfully. The Suspense behind exactly what Deliverables is, is built wonderfully. Hasan as a guest character is so well written, and the budding relationship between him and Tyler was really good. It's a shame the faceless corporate entity incinerated, fired in the most literal sense, him the moment he "qualified for basic workers rights".
I enjoyed both Zero Hours, but Torchwood's Zero Hour won out for me. As good as the Action in Enterprise's Zero Hour was, Torchwood's felt like it actually had something to say. Sci-Fi always works best when it's allegorical for real world issues, and Torchwood Zero Hour was an amazing example for that.
