â warnings | gossip, a lot of drama and random ass names (sorry i get confused when i don't name them), mention of panic attacks, hurt to comfort, pretty sure nothing else?
⨠missing out on updates? check out my wcbb masterlist!
"Y/N L/N, ONE OF the biggest names right now in the music industry has found herself at the center of yet another romantic scandal involving her ex and now, reportedly a new lover."
The 22-year-old pop sensation, who recently topped the charts with her latest single, was spotted last night leaving an upscale Los Angeles restaurant with actress and heartthrob, Camilla Harrison. The two were seen getting into the same car, sparking rumors of a budding romance.
This sighting comes just weeks after Y/N's highly publicized breakup with fellow musician Lauren Marie, with whom she had a tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship for over two years. The split was reportedly mutual, with both parties citing busy schedules and the pressures of their careers as contributing factors. However, sources close to the couple suggest that Marie was unhappy about Y/N's close friendship with Harrison, which began on the set of her recent music video where Marie made a cameo appearance.
"Y/N and Cam have undeniable chemistry," says an insider. "They've been spending a lot of time together, and it's more than just a professional connection. They're trying to keep things low-key, but it's clear there's something more than friendship between them."
Despite the drama, Y/N continues to thrive professionally. Her upcoming album set to release in the next couple month, is already generating significant buzz. Critics are calling it her most mature work yet, with deeply personal lyrics that reflect her recent experiences.
Meanwhile, Harrison, 26, known for her roles in blockbuster films and her good looks, has remained tight-lipped about the rumors. Her publicist declined to comment, stating that Marie is concentrating on her upcoming film projects.
ââ
"Okay, next question," the reporter smiled as she scrolled through her phone as Paige gave a tight-lipped smile toward the camera. "Oh! Found a good one, okay. Who is your celebrity crush right now."
"That's easy!" Paige laughed as she glanced toward the reporter. "Y/N L/N, she's beautiful and insanely talented,"
The room filled with laughter as the reporter raised an eyebrow, clearly delighted by the response. "Y/N L/N, huh? That's a popular choice these days, a lot of people are big fans. Have you met her?"
Paige shook her head, her cheeks slightly flushing. "Nah, I wish. But I'm a huge fan of her music. Every song is a masterpiece and I'm not usually into pop,"
"Interesting," the reporter leaned forward, intrigued. "You know, there are rumors about Y/N's love life all the time. How do you feel about all the speculation surrounding her personal life?"
Paige shrugged, maintaining her relaxed demeanor despite the stupid question. "I think it's tough being in the spotlight like that. People forget that celebrities are human too. Everyone deserves a bit of privacy, I'm more interested in her work and what she brings to the music industry rather than whoever she's dating."
The reporter nodded, appreciating Paige's perspective. "Absolutely. It's refreshing to hear someone focus on the artistry rather than the gossip!"
ââ
"Okay, quick. Who's your celeb crush right now, other than Cam," Bowen Yang, grinned at you, raising an eyebrow as the audience laughed, eagerly awaiting your response.
You laugh (and decide to ignore the comment about Cam), feeling a slight blush creep up your cheeks. "Oh, come on, Bowen, you can't put me on the spot like that!"
Bowen leaned in, his grin widening. "Come on, Y/N, the people want to know!" He pointed to the crowd as they cheered, causing you to put your face in yours hands.
You then take a deep breath, pretending to think hard. "Fine, if I have to choose... I'd say Paige Bueckers. She's incredible on the court, and I've seen some interviews with her â she seems like such a cool person."
The audience erupts with loud cheers, causing both you and Bowen to laugh. Bowen's eyes widen, clearly delighted by your answer as he clapped. "Ooh, scandalous! Paige Bueckers, I love that! Have you met her?"
You shake your head, smiling. "No, not yet. But I did see a clip of her saying some really nice things about me recently. It was super sweet."
Bowen's face lights up with excitement. "She was practically gushing over you, this is perfect, we need to make this happen. Maybe you could collab, I don't know how but uh, if anyone could make it happen, it's you."
"Thank you, I think?" You laugh, nodding. "Totally, we'll see what happens."
Bowen turns to the camera, his enthusiasm infectious. "You heard it here first, folks! Y/N and Paige Bueckers, the crossover we never knew we needed but now desperately want!"
The audience erupts in applause and cheers, and you can't help but smile at the idea. Bowen turns back to you, his tone shifting slightly more serious. "Alright, before we wrap up, I have to ask â how do you deal with all the attention and rumors about your personal life? It seems like you're constantly in the spotlight."
You take a moment to gather your thoughts, caught off guard by the serious question. "It's um, definitely challenging at times, but I try to focus on the positive aspects. I love making music and my fans. As for the rumors, I just remind myself that I can't control what people say or think. I stay true to myself and the people who really know me, and that's what matters most."
Bowen nods appreciatively. "Wise words, Y/N. And that's why we love you so. Thank you so much for being here tonight."
"Thank you for having me," you reply, genuinely touched by the support.
"And that's Y/N L/N!"
The crowd erupts in cheers as you genuinely smile, happy for the support, waving toward the audience.
ââ
"Hey everyone, welcome back to the podcast I'm Lila, and today we've got a lot to talk about. Y/N L/N is at the center of yet another romantic scandal, and there's even a new twist involving basketball star Paige Bueckers. Let's dive in!" Lila said, her enthusiasm palpable.
"Yaya, so excited," Maya chimed in, adjusting her headphones. "So, Y/N was spotted last night leaving an upscale LA restaurant with actress Cam Harrison. They got into the same car, which has everyone buzzing about a possible new romance."
"Yeah, and this is just weeks after her very public breakup with Lauren, I think that's her name? It's been a whirlwind, to say the least. But honestly, I think Y/N is handling it all pretty well. She's focused on her music, and she's just living her life. What's your take, My?" Lila asked, leaning in slightly.
Maya sighed, her skepticism evident. "I don't know, Lila. I get that she's young and living her life or whatever, but it feels like there's always some new drama with her. First Lauren, now Cam Harrison? It's starting to look like a pattern."
"But that's thing, with being in your early twenties. Figuring out what you want, who you want to be with? I mean, she's also incredibly talented and driven. Her new album is generating a ton of buzz and it hasn't even been released yet," Lila countered, her voice full of admiration.
"Sure, but it seems like she's always entangled in some romantic drama. Maybe it's just the nature of fame or whatever, but it can also come off as messy. And now, with Paige Bueckers gushing about her in that interview, it adds another layer. I just hope sheâs not stringing people along," Maya replied, her tone annoyed.
Lila nodded, annoyed at Maya's words but maintaining her supportive stance. "I get where you're coming from, but did you see Paige's reaction? She was genuinely excited about Y/N. It was sweet. Plus, Y/N responded so positively on the SNL interview. I think it shows she's got a good heart and she's just navigating her way through a complicated life!"
Maya hesitated for a moment as she glanced at the camera, then continued. "I mean, look at Taylor Swift. She's known for her string of high-profile relationships and breakups, and it hasn't always been received positively. It feels like Y/N is heading down a similar path- What?"
"Come on, Maya!" Lila glared at her, clearly displeased. "Comparing Y/N to Taylor Swift isn't fair. Taylor's faced a lot of unfair criticism for just living her life and expressing herself through her music. Y/N is her own person, with her own journey. She's navigating her twenties in the spotlight, and that's not easy."
Maya just shrugged as she glanced toward the camera, before adjusting her mic. "Well that got awkward, moving on..."

"I just kinda... wanna disappear for awhile," you confessed, your voice quiet as you pressed the phone to your ear. "Don't know why this keeps happening, you're the only that can... help me through it. Sorry if I woke you up-"
It happened again â over the last couple of months (ever since you'd broken up with Lauren) you'd gotten pretty severe panic attacks. You were told by everyone on your team to just stay off social media and what had you done... exactly the opposite of that.
"No, no, I was awake anyway, promise," Paige's voice echoed through the phone. You heard shuffling through the phone as you sniffled, sighing. "And I don't mind, like at all. I meant what I said, I'm always here for you,"
Your heart swelled as you managed a smile, as tears began to build in your eyes. You and Paige had only been talking a month and she already understood you more than anyone had in what felt like forever. Her steady presence was like an anchor in the storm of your life.
The constant media scrutiny and the aftermath of your breakup with Lauren had left you feeling alone, but Paigeâs calming influence was slowly becoming your safe haven.
"I just... I don't know how to deal with all of it. The rumors, the pressure, it's all so overwhelming," you admitted, wiping away the tears that had started to fall. "Half of it, it isn't even true."
"Hey, it's okay, I know, I believe you," Paige's voice was soothing, almost like a warm embrace over the phone. Even the smallest affirmation from Paige made you feel all okay again, even if it was just for the moment.
"You're not alone in this. We can figure it out together, step by step."
That part made your lips twitch up in a smile, feeling yourself relax again. You took a deep breath, feeling a bit of the tension ease from your shoulders. "I just feel like I can't breathe sometimes. Like the walls are closing in, y'know?"
"I get it," Paige replied softly. She'd know about it all too well, she'd been through it herself plenty of times. "Sometimes it helps to focus on the small things. One step at a time, remember? Have you tried any of those breathing exercises I taught you?"
You nodded, even though she couldn't see you. "Yeah, a little. They help, but itâs hard to remember in the moment."
"Next time you feel a panic attack coming on, call me. Anytime, okay? We'll get through it together," Paige's voice was firm, reassuring. "You don't deserve the shit they give you, like at all."
"Thank you," you whispered, feeling a surge of gratitude. "I don't know what I'd do without you, P."
"You don't have to thank me. I care about you, and I wanna help. Plus, I like hearing your voice," Paige added with a light chuckle, trying to lift your spirits.
You couldn't help but smile at that. "Me too, especially your cute tired voice."
"Cute, really?" Paige laughed through the phone and you swore you felt like your whole world felt even again. "But uh, if you do really wanna disappear you can always come to Connecticut."
The thought of escaping the relentless spotlight, even for a little while, sounded like a dream. "Really?"
"Yeah, you can stay with me for a bit, if that's uh... what you want." Paige explained through the phone. "My friends are super chill and it's always a fun time, if you ever wanna come. Think about it?"
The idea of spending time with the basketball player you'd quickly become enthralled with, seemed almost like a dream. And getting away from LA and all the madness that came with it sounded heavenly, you were going to give Connecticut a thought.
You sighed, feeling a warmth spread through you that had been absent for far too long. "Yeah, I will. And Paige?"
"Yeah?"
"Thank you. Really."
"Anytime, Y/N. Sweet dreams."

25 Hours a Day w/ Izzy Stradlin
Minors DNI 18+
âWant to go somewhere quieter?â His eyes were dark in the dim lighting of the bar. All onyx gleam against mine as he waited for my reply.
The world got quiet for a second as heat flooded my cheeks as I nodded your head, watching him stare for a second too long before closing out the tab, slipping his hand on my lower back as you stood up ready to go.
Izzy smelled like the woods after the rain, the wet pine and forgotten secrets mixed with the harder edge of city life, whiskey and tobacco, making him so distinct. You were wrapped in the scent of him as he guided you through the crowd towards where he had parked the 60âs Chevelle in a glossy black that must have cost a fortune.
Not that izzy seemed to bat an eye about money, it was just another thing he had.
A chill racked your spine, his thumb pressing into the bones, running it up and down as he opened the passenger door for you, leaning in as you bent to get in.
âDonât worry, Iâll warm you up soon.â
He was shutting the door for you, moving to the drivers side before you could gasp or call him out for what he had just said to you. His words leaving you with your mouth gasping like a fish out of water.
This was only my first date with him, despite this strange feeling that I knew him from somewhere. A memory just scratching at the surface but I hadnât been able to bring it to the top yet.
I was aware he was driving me to his place, unsure if I should say something to him about it but feeling the nervous energy pulsing through your body, tingling you between your legs as my clit swelled with need and the damp desire flooded the silk panties I had slid on earlier today.
That same sense of will he see them now making my heartbeat wildly?
Izzy reached over, his veiny hand laying on my knee, a collection of cool silver rings chilling my skin as he turned his palm, walking his fingers up the flesh of my thigh as a shattered gasp of shocked want filled the air. A terror filled me as I realized that pant of want had escaped my lips. It was my needy sounds in the car.
âItâs okay, violet.â My eyes went from where he was resting his hand high on your thighs. HIs fingers lazily stroking with a surety that you werenât sure existed in a bone of your body.
Violet? That wasnât my name.
âOn your lower back you have a birthmark, all violet in color and looking as soft as the petals of a flower.â He explained the nickname when he saw your confusion, my blush rising as I wondered how he knew about the spot that would only be clear in your swimsuits.
Sure I had spent time at the pool but that had been during the summer, weeks ago now that autumn had fully settled its dry bones over Indiana. Plus Izzy had been in LA, only visiting home recently to visit his family.
How could he have seen it?
But that information he didnât volunteer to me with words. Instead he looked at me at the redlight, unafraid to make me wiggle uncomfortable in his gaze. He knew his effect on people and still didnât care. He watched me in a way that was familiar, like his eyes had been on me for months and now you just realized all those times your hair had stood on end, looking around to see who caused me the feeling, was in front of me.
He smirked as he watched me swallow, his left hand moving to cup my jaw, thumb pressing where I had swallowed and trailing it down.
âDo you know how gorgeous you are?â The whisper was raspy with need and your eyes widened at the way he was affected by you.
As quick as he was on me he was off, pressing the gas as he squeezed my thigh, roaring down the street and getting closer to his house.
Everyone in our hometown knew where Izzy Stradlin lived. It was an old colonial style with so much land that you couldnât even see it from the road. The wrought iron gates had been snuck over by local kids trying to get a glimpse of their celebrity. It had gotten to a point that Izzy hired a guard, who was currently opening the gates for the two of you to drive in.
Izzy nodded at the man as he drove down the drive, turning around the circular drive as he parked the car in front of the house, giving my thigh one more squeeze before jumping out and striding confidently to my side and pulling open the door for me.
âBefore you come in, little violet, Iâm going to give you a chance to back out of this.â I looked at him, shivering as leaves made sounds of bones tumbling in the wind. Autumn was craving to be winter. âIâll drive you back to your house. Or you can come in and spend the night with me. Iâm warning you. Think about this because Iâm not sure Iâm going to be able to let you go after one night. You might have found yourself well and truly fucked, little violet.â
Blinking I felt my heart speed up. Izzy was 29, eight years older than me. We hadnât known each other in school and didnât have mutual friends. Us meeting had been strange. He had walked into my job at the law firm, where I did clerical work with some guy my mom had dated at one point, and asked if I would have dinner with him. When I had blinked, confused he had gone on giving me a time and asking me my address, which I gave to him without thinking.
Sure enough at 6:55 my mother was yelling at me that he was here, her energy as excited as mine. My mother had me when she was 16 which made us close in a way that all our friends had always been jealous of.
When I walked down the stairs, wearing the slinky back top that tied in the back and tiny little denim skirt with strappy heels I had stolen from her closet she had told me to call her if I wasnât coming home, making me burn like the sun as I threw open the door as Izzy walked up to meet me.
His eyes had widened as he stole a final drag of his cigarette, the cherry at the end burning as bright as his eyes as he looked at me as if I was the first girl he had ever seen. But he recovered quickly, holding out his hand as he helped me into his car and whisking me off to dinner and drinks.
And now I was in front of his house having to make a choice if I wanted to sleep with him tonight; I knew that was what was going to happen if I went inside with him.
âCan I use your phone?â he blinked, confused before smirking, recovering as he nodded his head, helping me inside his house.
I slid off the wool jacket I was wearing, letting Izzy take it as he motioned to where the phone was in the hall and mentioning he was going to go get us drinks.
Calling home my mother reminded me to have fun, knowing that she had taught me my whole life how to be safe. It was the fun part that she thought I didn't have enough of.
Slipping from my heels I groaned a soft sense of freedom as I returned to my height. Bare feet on cool wood floors quietly moved around until I was in the soft glow of a fire, watching Izzy carefully stroke it as warmth filled the room.
As a log cracked his eyes lifted from the flames to me, pausing as if he just remembered I was there with him and he wasnât alone. The look was enough to make me dizzy with need as I moved into the living room further as he set down the poker, stepping to meet me.
His arms fit around my body in a way that felt like we had done this a thousand times before and not just tonight.
âYouâre staying?â I nodded, my tongue suddenly heavy as I watched the way his lips lifted in the barest of smirks, âIâm going to kiss you now, little violet.â His fingers pushed back my hair as he got closer, not breaking eye contact with me, âAnd when I kiss you, everything is going to change.â
Before I could ask when he meant he was pushing a palm into my lower back to bring us flush together, his left hand tilting my chin up and cupping my cheek as he pressed his lips against mine in a possessive dominance that made my toes curl.
My hands slid up, over the black button down he had worn to clasp behind his neck, pushing myself up as I opened my lips, deepening the kiss that we were sharing. Heart thundering as Izzyâs tongue dragged along mine, our tastes becoming something new. Something that was distinctively ours.
It was delicious.
All at once it wasnât enough, I needed more of him.
âWe have a lifetime, little violet.â he warned as I pushed my hips against his , feeling the hardness he had for me.
âI want to start my lifetime now.â Izzyâs eyes flashed in desire before he was swooping me up, letting me wrap my arms around his waist as he spun us towards the couch in front of the fire, laying me down on the leather.
His body over me as he pushed against me, making me groan in need as I pushed up against him as he kissed me, claiming me and needing me. Our hips grinding against each other. Just his pants and my panties as a barrier.
But Izzy made quick work of all that, leaving us breathless and naked between kisses as his cock jutted, hard and leaking dots of precum that had me hungry for his cock. I wanted to taste him instead of letting it go to waste.
âI donât want a barrier between us.â I should have told him that he needed to wear a condom but I didnât want a barrier either. I wanted all of him. I wanted to see the way my body coated him with my wetness, to see how he looked covered in me.
âIâm on the pill.â He nodded, pushing the head into me as I felt the way my lips parted, hands searching for something to gasp as I looked down.
Both of us were staring, watching the place between my legs where our two bodies were joining together. Inch by inch he claimed me, pulling out to watch the way I made his cock glisten with my cum before burying himself back inside of me. Both of us are entranced by the beauty of our two bodies together.
âFuck.â Hearing him moan for me made me look up from where our desire was fueled and to his face. The way he watched my body, how he looked like I was his euphoria. It made my stomach knot with need.
Reaching out, I stroked his cheek, his eyes flashing up as he looked at me, Izzy was lost in me. His eyes not holding that calm collectiveness that he had displayed. He was losing himself and it was because of me.
Tugging his hair I pulled his lips to mine, sitting up as I slid him deeper inside of me,rolling his hips so that he could get deeper inside of me. Filling me in a way that had me so full I wasnât sure I would be able to walk after this.
He wasnât even going that fast or hard, taking it easy as if each second he was inside of me was a time that needed to be savored and appreciated. He was engrossed with me, so wrapped up as we panted, letting out sounds that I hadnât know were possible against each others lips as we moved together to music that our bodies were performing.
âYouâre perfect, little violet.â His thumb stroked the birthmark I had always been embarrassed about, turning my feelings into something beautiful. Making something I hadnât been happy about into something beautiful for me.
I was so close, Izzy seemed to sense my buildup. He pulled from our kiss, eyes on my face like he didnât want to miss a moment of pleasure between us.
âLet go for me. Let me see the way you look when you come on my cock for me. Let me see you, little violet.â His words rattled me as I wanted to do it, wanted to have him watch me as I shattered apart for him.
My orgasm burst between us, his eyes widening in primal need as his hands gripped my hips, thrusting deeper, harder as he fucked me through my orgasm, letting me collapse against his couch as he covered me, chasing his own moment
âIzzy, fuck!â I cried out for him as my toes curled, a second orgasm shattering me and blinding my vision with tears.
âYes, say my name again.â
âIZZY!â I cried out for him as I felt him, the warm thick feeling of being filled with ropes of cum as his cock rutted it deep inside of me, filling me with him before he laid against me, supporting most of his weight on his forearms as he tried to remember how to breathe.
The world was quiet chaos of crackling logs and breaths that shook our chests.
âIâve been waiting months for you.â his lips kissed my collarbone as I tried to make sense of what he was saying to me, âMonths of watching you just trying to be ready for you. I knew you were a hurricane. I just had to get ready for the storm.â His lips slid down as he kissed my stomach, my head heavy as I tried to make sense of what he was saying. âLets get you showered. I need to take you again, little violet. I want to make love to you twenty five hours a day.â My heart finally threw its opinion out there. Taking over for my brain who wanted to live and my vagina who wanted him.
My heart knew we were well and truly fucked.

Help! My classmate is a size shifter!
3.Oh Crap! You're Awake
(first/previous/next)
I had been scrolling on his phone, trying to distract Myself from the overwhelming panic my brain had resorted to, when I heard my shrunken classmate begin to stir. I immediately froze to see what he was going to do.
the tiny figure of Elijah was laying on top of an old folded up t-shirt, which acted as a make shift blanket as well. he slowly started to wake up, rubbing his eyes. Elijah was so tiny and frail looking, not to mention the lack of color on his skin, which couldn't have been normal. or maybe it was normal, after all, I had only recently met him and his overall complexion was quite pale. anyway, he was waking up, and i just sat there frozen in shock and awe.
he sat up and opened his eyes, the shirt sliding down his bare torso and crumpling in his lap. he seemed dazed at first then began to look around in a panic.
His eyes drifted around the room as he looked around with a confused demeanor. I watched him carefully until his eyes eventually landed on me. When we locked eyes a shock went through the room.
"h-hey....eli" i said softly, raising my hands as a sign of peace. unfortunately for me, it didnt work, as just the entire shock of the situation caused him to shrink back. he clamped his hand over his mouth as he looked at me.Â
the way his eyes widened with horror as he looked at me broke my heart. i felt so guilty for scaring him. i saw itty bitty tears well up in his eyes, and i started to panic, not sure how to deal with a tiny hysterical person.Â
"wait wait wait wait wait! hey bro its just me, its okay...im here" i leaned closer to his delicate form reaching out my hand gently.
"w-w-whats....whats going on....why are you- what happened to-" i saw him struggling to stay calm as his tiny form shook with anxiety.
"hey hey, its okay im here to help you" i cooed moving my hand to brush against his tiny arm. he flinched back violently which made me feel terrible. my heart squeezed with guilt as i saw my friend look at me like i was a monster.
i cringed "sorry, do you not want me to touch you?" i stayed still waiting for his response. he pressed his tiny mouth into a thin line and shook his head. i sighed, which ruffled his shaggy black bangs out of his face momentarily, and moved my hand away from him.
"i guess.....your probably pretty confused and scared right now" i looked down at my hand, sadly in awe of how scared he must be of me. for good reason too, i could-not that i would EVER do such a thing- crush him with barely any effort.Â
"w-what....w-why am i-" he choaked unable to continue the sentence.
"listen, i dont know myself. all i know is we were hanging out one second, then you double down and...you like...started glowing..." i raised my eyes to meet his gaze, my heart twinged as i saw he still was on edge and frantically glancing around. "....and then you just disappeared, and i found you like this in a pile of your clothes. i got scared and brought you to my place, its the only thing i could think to do" i said guiltily.
there was a tense silence that blanketed the room as i waited for eli to calm down enough to talk. i was about to speak when i heard a faint sniffling coming from my nightstand. i looked up to see elijah wiping away tears, his legs curled up in front of him.Â
"o-oh, eli" i cooed silently "its..its gunna be okay" i said trying to calm him and using all my willpower to not touch him.Â
"am-am i going to be s-stuck like this f-f-forever?" he looked up at me with terrified tear filled eyes in desperation.Â
"im-im not sure, but ill do everything i can to help you" i leaned in closer, trying to make him feel better. he scooted back anxiously away from me and looked up at me with fear.
"w-what are....you going to do with me?" the way he phrased it broke my heart. i looked at him sadly, and he returned the gaze with fear.Â
"eli-" i stopped, feeling my own tears well up at the realization that my friend thought i would do something to harm him, that i would take his free will just because of his predicament "elijah, i would never do anything to hurt you, well find a way for you to be normal again, i promise" i just wanted to scoop him up and cuddle him, assure him that everything was going to be alright. but i couldn't, he was small and scared of ME and i had to get him to trust me before i could help him with anything.
he bit his lip and nodded, hugging his knees tightly. i wanted so badly to hold him again, help him feel better. i wanted to comfort him and hug him and tell him everything would be okay.Â
"c-can i....can i hold you, eli?" i said softly looking town at him with pleading eyes.
a bead of anxious sweat trickled down my forehead as i anticipated his answer. he looked at me hesitantly and gulped. his eyes wandering up my torso and meeting my eyes as he shuttered involuntarily. Â
i sighed "i-if you dont want to its fine, i jus thought it might-" i started before he interrupted me.
"okay" one word. but that one word made my heart swell with affection and relief.Â
"okay" i breathed in eco as i reached out my hand to grab him, then a thought crossed my mind. i changed my hand positioning to be palm upward laying it next to him. "get on when you feel comfortable" i smiled encouragingly.

AITA for releasing an evil virus into the real world?
I (F), began working at this pizza place that belongs to my uncle (W. A) Sure, itâs a fine place with decent pay, but in reality i actually began working here because M, my brother, went missing after he started a new location for the company. I just.. had a weird feeling something was being covered up, yaknow? So I applied and got hired as the server manager.
A night or two ago, I was trying to back up all of the files, and Uncle W. A got.. really concerned? I was trying to explain I was just trying to keep all of his files safe, just in case, but he looked me dead in the eyes and in probably the second most chilling tone I ever heard, he said he wanted them âburnt to ashâ.
So.. I went to the backroom with all of the servers, and began doing just that, even snipping some wires in some old hard drives the company had stored away years ago. Iâm not an idiot though, I completely understood why my Uncle would want it all wipedâthe safety inspector was on top of the company recently, and any trace of the coverups the company has done to hide some.. strange deaths would cause the downfall of the pizzeria. Still, in all of the coverups I found, I never found anything about my brother M. Sure, his death was listed, but nothing much else.
Thatâs when the computer turned on by itself. It listed that, by itself, it was now searching through its database for instances of M, and I got curious. An âAccess Deniedâ message appeared, and without hesitation I overrode it. IâŚ. probably shouldâve thought twice, because the computer immediately began glitching out aggressively as it downloaded 40 million kilobytes.
All of a sudden, an retired Springlock suit snapped to life, moving on its own. I ran from the pizzeria (stealing one of the animatronics as I did, I didnât really want to, but he wouldnât stop beeping at me until I did) but.. I donât know.
I know I was tricked into releasing the virus, but I still feel like I shouldâve done something more than run away and quit my job. What if he hurts somebody???

Quimby headcanons maybe?đđ
These are just my headcanons of Quimby, and some of them are also observed from the shows as well that keep his character in canon. And I'm sure I missed something too.
To be clear this is for my Inspector Gadget Au, where it's more gritty and more like the futuristic aspect rather than the 1980-2015 world of Gadget.Â
His full name is Frank Mitchel Quimby.Â
He's also 41 years old. He's been married to a woman for 20 years, and has been divorced just recently.Â
He's a closeted homosexual, but feels more at ease and comfortable with Gadget than anyone else. He's known Augustin for years on the force and later turned into a romantic relationship between them. Their relationship slightly boarders on a rebound relationship.
His father was a military veteran and amputee, so he had years of understanding for those who have lost parts of them. Which allows him to understand Gadget on that level as well.Â
Years of smoking a pipe gives him a permanent scent of peaches. He likes his flavoured tobacco for his pipe and will always have a faint peach fruit to his clothes. Yet on most days he doesn't smoke his pipe, mostly just to have something in his mouth. All his pencils have bite marks so he opted to just holding his wooden pipe in his mouth instead.Â
He's an undercover agent himself, usually the one who gets the information on MAD and their plans. Making him the most sought after man in the entire department to be killed. He uses his stealth and many disguises to hide in plain sight.
So he lives a life of stress, and picks at his tie causing it to be loose and crumbled. He goes through them but it is too cheap to buy new ones. His stress also contributes to his weight gain as he rarely lives at his own home anymore in fear of MAD finding him, so he eats fast-food alot. He's a big meat guy, likes burgers and sausages with little on the veggies.Â
He's also a skilled shooter, his shape may not show it but he's very capable of moves after years of service to the force.Â
His favourite weapon of choice is the S&W Model 39, a small gun that takes much longer to learn to shoot but it serves its purpose. Even if it's defunct at this point he loves the feel of it and wouldn't want to replace it.Â
Now after all that's said and done, he's also a masochist. He loves a good bite here and there getting his head shoved down on Gadget's âgadgetâ. He lives to be subject to pain within his limits. In his first marriage, it was a dead and loveless time. But with Augustin, he's more free to be the person who was hiding in him all along. He's a complete bottom and doesn't mind it as long as his top is his Inspector. Yet due to Gadget's sheer weight from his machinery, Quimby rides cowgirl. With missionary position a limited event that is used to hit their sweet spots, especially Quimby's.Â
To everyone else he is mean and quick to anger but with Augustin he's a soft and gentle man. He also has a caring spot for Penny, especially little Penny. He feels more motherly towards her and will do anything in his power to be sure her uncle comes home alive everyday.Â
A firm advocate for Inspector Gadget and his ability to solve crimes, when sometimes he is just blinded in his infatuation for the man he believes Augustin can do anything. So he automatically congratulates him even when Augustin knows he didn't do anything.

ok, this feels like it needs to be the next post on this account before people start getting REALLY confused LOL
so, because i mentioned before that i have furry designs of everyone (even moreso than im planning to showcase here, the others are just gonna have to come w time i think, this shit is scary to admit LMAO) but they might be hard to identify without proper explanation. oh, and cw for nudity, i guess, i had to draw a picture of gabs w/o clothes because i needed a proper reference for his markings/gold stripes.
so we're starting w the blue bitch itself. uhh, let's establish this rq- i have nicknames for everyone. *everyone.* i usually just call it "vee" or "vibri." idk how these accumulated. sometimes, i'll use other pronouns as slang for it, usually being "he" or "she." i don't see it as either male nor female, these are just because i like the sound of these words LOL.
here's what the bastard looks like:
what a beast, huh? well here's some more examples:
as you can see, i get pretty varied w my art and depictions of these guys. the top one is the newest sketch, but the other two are pretty good so i included them anyway :3 ive started making it's wings more frilled/feather-like, but they are still the same material. i just like the way it looks.
the next one we'll be talking about is the evil red thing- again, w the nicknames, we usually just call her "two," and again w the pronoun thing. i like she/her-ing it, though.
here's a quick, thumbnail example:
and a couple more, older examples:
i'm not sure what animal it is!! i think either a bunny or a jerboa. some kind of prey animal, but not exactly meek. rabbits aren't pushovers, if you didn't know, they're very fierce little things. these are all kinda old, seeing as i don't draw her as often as. well.
you guys are gonna have to get used to me calling him nicknames as well, because it's just funny to call a grown man cute nicknames. so. gabby.
he may be hard to initially identify, obviously, but if you're confused, i did plan for that!
i like drawing the armor, but i'm usually drawing more casual situations, and i uh. don't feel like drawing allat. sorry LMAO. plus i like his face markings, i think they're pretty!!
OH and the halo is dynamic. it changes depending on mood, and how he's presenting (w the more "classic" pointy look being more for formal occasions.) i strayed a lot from canon w his design, in that i typically have his face uncovered and put him in pretty dresses, as opposed to the armor. he's fun for me to draw, so it'll be mostly him and vibri that you'll be seeing ;w;
here's some other examples of the big man himself (oh, and the last one, uh, naked jumpscare, its a ref for his patterns/stripes. i give him a lot of those.) (the one w the safe is in reference to a joke me and my friend have going on fffucking roblox, where we steal from people, and generally cause problems, hence the odd outfit for vibri. its the most recent armor reference i have :shinijchair:)
even this pattern ref is a little outdated, because i've started making his tail color-shift as well!! its more of a feather-fan now.
i have designs for a bunch of other characters as well, but i think these three are a good starting place ^^; so yeah, this should help w any amount of confusion anyone has!! also, if this is ur first post seeing me, hi!! i promise im normal LOL

Day 7 - Crossover
An Electric Dreams (1984) x FNAF crossover on my AO3 or below the cut
A little embarrassing, but that's the point haha
A blog that I followed for DCA content started fixating on Electric Dreams (1984), so I watched it and became a simp got hooked too. I wanted to write a full story and tag them, but I think they fell out of it already? Oof... oh well
Anyways, cringetober by @icryink
A New Dream
Summary:
As an employee at Fazbear's Mega PizzaPlex, you're no stranger to highly functioning AI that borderlines sentience. But what will happen when you you bring home an old computer from the 80s that longs for company and affection?
An Electric Dreams (1984) x FNAF Security Breach crossover because I apparently have a soft spot for silly sentient AI characters that cause chaos.
âââ
Chapter 1
"Sorry, Vanessa. Help Wanted will need to wait for another couple paychecks..."
You get back to your apartment in the early morning after another graveyard shift at Fazbear Entertainment's Mega PizzaPlex. It was surprisingly uneventful. There were no major potential lawsuits that needed fixing, and the cleaning aspect of your job was largely overtaken by staff bots after the recent mass human-employee layoff. They only left the workforce with the bare minimum: an underqualified security guard that's seemingly always at the Plex, an elusive daytime technician, and a general staff member (you!). Probably so they have someone to pass the blame on in case something goes horribly wrong with the animatronics. Either way, there wasn't much for any of you to do nowadays. But, hey, at least the pay was good, and the quirky animatronics never fail to entertain you.
After a couple hours of sleep and some lunch, you decide to go into town before getting ready for tonight's shift. You had met the security guard, Vanessa, for the first time the other day during your rounds. Despite being new, she seemed invested in the company and its history, even suggesting (rather insistently) that you check out Fazbear's VR game. You saw there was a recently released flatmode version on PC, but Vanessa specified that it had to be VR for the best experience. So there you are, browsing around at a local GameStop for the game and a VR set.
As you're debating the hefty price tag on the headset, you notice a man walk in with a large box. A closer look as he passes by reveals an old, shattered pinecone computer. With a heavy thud on the counter, the man asks the employee if he could trade in the machine. You eavesdrop in as he explains.
"Inherited it from my parents. I have no idea why they kept it for so long. It was destroyed even before I was born. Whenever I asked, they just said it had 'sentimental value' to them." He stops for a sigh. "But dad shot down any offer to get it fixed for whatever reason. Almost sounded scared... or guilty..."
That definitely piques your interest. You discreetly examine the computer as the worker behind the counter takes it out and observes its state.
"Sorry, sir," the employee says flatly. "The serial number isn't legible from the damage it suffered." They put it back in the box on top of what you assume to be wires and accessories. "We can't accept it."
"I guess that's to be expected. Thank you anyways," the man picks the box up in defeat and heads towards the exit. "It was worth a shot for some extra cash before bringing it to the dump."
"Excuse me," you call out as you catch up to him before you could think about it. Something in you didn't want to imagine such a device ending up in a trash heap. Maybe all the time you've spent with the animatronics at work made you look at technology differently in ways other people normally wouldn't. "I couldn't help but overhear your situation. I'd be happy to take it off your hands if you're willing."
"You want this old piece of scrap?" he asks with raised brows.
"Yes, I'm something of a computer technician." You try to stifle the knowing grin tugging at your lips. If only he knew what you worked with. "It looks like an incredible model. I'd like to fix it up as a personal project. Of course, I'd be willing to pay you for it, too."
You make your totally not shady exchange in the parking lot. The man gives you the box after you send over the money. Safely tucking it into the seat of your car, you make your way back home, thinking about what parts you might need to repair the machine. Now you'll have something to look forward to during the days while you wait for your next shift.

Not Supposed to Be Here (Ebenezer/Constance)(Modern AU)
Unwanted company follows Constance home one day.
Rated 13+. Triggers for stalking from a third party, light violence w/ mention of blood, and some language. All the romance is just fluff, maybe with some innuendo if you squint.
Also, this takes place in a modern AU universe featuring @quill-pen's Bess (and her own Ebenezer/zar), Addie, and Gal. Cameo time!
Happy reading!
Usually, Constance felt safer upon entering their flatâs guarded lobby.
The gentle chime of the entry bell and lemony smell of freshly sprayed cleaner offered an air of professional hominess. It felt sophisticated, but also slightly cavernous, which usually aided her feelings of safety.
The building was old in design, with darkly lacquered walls and natural stone floors, but the cameras and keypads that dotted the vicinity were the best money could buy. The cost of the units within the building damn near insisted it. As a result, most of the residents did the same.
Literal resident, philanthropist (and casual billionaire) Ebenezer Samuel Scrooge, for example, had spared no expense in making her feel safe once she moved into his upscale London apartment. The man already had an impressive security system installed. A few years ago, he would have said it was to protect the funds, ledgers, and gold he prized. Now, it was to protect the woman with a heart of gold whom he had the honor of marrying in a few monthsâ time.
While Ebenezer treasured Constance open and ardently, her presence alone wasnât the only factor that inspired him to pay top dollar for security.
He knew that being at his side put her in the public eye, and considering her ex-husbandâs very active restraining order, he had updated the system to the latest model the day she first entered his abode.
Not only was the front door guarded by a doorman and the front desk staffed by two receptionists, but the floor Ebenezerâs flat occupied could only be accessed by a special elevator, which was manned by its own staff member at all hours, except for the occasional break. There was, of course, the fire escape out back, but that area was also guarded with cameras closely.
Yet, even as she made small talk with the attendants and checked their postbox for mail, a sense of uneasiness lingered over her like a storm cloud.
She felt unusually restless; like eyes were on her, but not just any set of eyes.
It had been just over a year since sheâs felt that familiar sense of dread ⌠the nightmare of his eyes, dark and cold as fog, watching her. Scrutinizing her. Hating her from afar.
A Harrods catalog slipped from her hands and onto the floor.
The rustle caught the attention of a nearby receptionist.
âSomething wrong, Ms. DoGoode?â one asked, peering up at her from their post behind a large Mac monitor. They appeared to be checking their emails, the camera feed resigned to a smaller window in the lower corner.
Constance turned and looked behind her, her gaze moving through the lobby and out into the busy London streets. The frost-covered glass hid the details of the sidewalk and traffic outside from her view, but nothing immediately caught her attention.
Prudence, the large mastiff that loyally followed her lead even without a leash, followed her eyes. In response to her ownerâs obvious discomfort, her stance immediately became more protective at the first showing of fear. She glanced around, growling in an attempt to stave off whatever was causing her new mama to tremble.
Yet, even as they both ladies stared out the front door, they saw ⌠nothing.
Perhaps she was imagining things. Or, imagining people.
Trying to save face, Constance chuckled and tucked her mail away in her evergreen Telfar shopping bag, a recent acquisition from New York that her mother had sent.
âIâm fine,â she said, making sure to flash the receptionist a grin. âClumsy as always, haha! Thank you for worrying.â
As if sensing her discomfort, Prudence whimpered and pawed at her lower legs. She bent and scooped up the mailer, then rubbed her large, meatball-shaped noggin. âSorry, girl. I guess Iâm just imagining things.â
Something must have triggered the feeling, she thought. Maybe another man in the lobby was wearing the same cologne as him, and sheâd picked up on it subconsciously. Maybe she hadnât seen someone coming in behind her at the entrance, and sheâd let a door fall shut on someone. Yet, if that was the case, they apparently hadnât stuck around to chastise her.
With kind words of parting, Constance made her way to the gilded elevator tucked in the back of the lobby. Prudence stayed behind just a moment longer, cocking her face at something beyond the glass.
Constance whistled as she held the door. âCome, Prudence.â
With a huff, the pup gave up her pursuit and trotted into the elevator.
âGood girl,â she praised. With those words, the elevator doors fell shut.
Moments later, the front door opened softly, and a man stepped in.
âExcuse me,â he asked as he approached the desk. We wore a dark trench with camel-colored gloves tucked into his pockets. His American accent was distinct, with a slight Dutch twang. âI looking for someone, and I think I just saw her go up.â
âLetâs seeâŚoh, Harrods opened their Christmas department,â Constance exclaimed as she read the mailer on the ride up. âOh, they already have their teddy bear display up this year! The Cratchit children would adore that. We should all go on an evening after work!â
While Constance attempted to distract herself by reading the seasonal ads, Prudence kept glancing around, as if even the tiniest shadow in the elevator could pose a threat.
âI wonderâŚhas Bess ever been before?â Constance pondered aloud. âIâll have to text Wolf and see. What a fun surprise that would be!â
Lacquered maroon nails tapped the glossy paper impatient. She glanced around the small space and heaved a sigh. âThe, um, attendant must be on break.â
The mastiff definitely wasnât listening. Her expressive eyes furrowed at every sound, and when the doors opened on the private floor, she even let out a bark.
Smiling softly, Constance gave Prudence a reassuring pat on the back as they exited. âYouâre so brave, protecting me. Thank you, sweetheart.â
The praise temporarily distracted Prudence from her apprehension, her tongue lolling from her gummy jaw. Her tail swayed like a shipâs mast during a sea storm.
âNow, keys, keysâŚâ Constance said, reaching her entire arm into the large bag to fish out the front door key to the apartment.
When her fingers brushed the distinct, heart-shaped keyring, a grin bloomed on her face. âThere you are! Sneaky.â
Constance unlocked the front door, making sure to wipe her heels on the welcome mat before crossing the threshold.
âEbenezer?â she called into the space, only to be greeted with silence. She heard no voices, or even music, from within. It seemed he was still out on business. Heâd been called to a private meeting at a clientâs estate. As the meeting was outside of their usual office location, there had been no reason for Constance to accompany him. Instead, he recommended she take the day off.
She smiled at the memory, especially how he had promised her heâd be back by dinner, then kissed her lovingly on her lips to seal the promise.
In fact, he kissed her each and every time they parted, no exceptions.
She kicked off her heels quickly, then reached up to a keypad located right next to their coatrack.
In addition to a front door key, the apartment had a security system that triggered every time the door was unlocked from the outside. Upon each entry, a special code had to be keyed in to disarm the system until the next time someone entered the space.
Some called the measure tiring or even nerve-inducing. She understood those sentiments, but to her, it was nothing but reassuring. It was a small price to pay for safety, in her mind. More than anything, she was grateful that Ebenezer took her safety so seriously.
She reached up and keyed in the code, her manicured nails tapping polished nickel buttons quickly. By now, she knew the code so well that she could enter it without even looking at the numbers.
A gentle beep sounded from the device, and Constance grinned in satisfaction. âThere we go! Now then, miss maâam Prudie, letâsââ
Without warning, the mastiff began to howl and bark. The volume of her bellows was so loud that the windows seemingly rattled in place.
His cheap cologne gave him away to Prudence before Connie had realized.
Just as the door was about the latch, a gloved hand shot through and stopped it from falling shut. The hand was large and masculine, adorned in a nondescript leather glove that would have been commonplace for anyone in London to wear, especially during the ideas of winter.
However, Constance recognized the glove instantly. She only knew one man who wore camel-colored leather gloves, complete with gold buttons at the wrists.
âWell, well,â Orin Spiegler grumbled, throwing the door open hard enough that the knob punched the drywall and left a hole. âThe Sun was right.â
âOrin.â The sound came out as a choked gasp rather than a question.
âNormally I donât read the tabloids, but when I saw that you hadnât sent me a wedding invitation, I thought Iâd check in with you personally.â
On stockinged feet, Constance stepped back from the front door. Shock stole her voice and ability to move, causing her to creep away with the speed of maple syrup through a frozen tap.
After a terrifying beat of silence, the man raised his arms like a preacher in a sermon and let out a loud laugh. âWell, donât just stand there! Why donât you give your ex-husband a hello, at least? After all, I flew all the way here. Donât I at least get a kiss?â
She felt physically sick, as if she could vomit right there on the spot. âYouâre not supposed to be here.â
âIâm banned from London? Iâm here on business, Connie. Something our little ⌠separation almost ruined for me. Donât worry, I have no hard feelings about it, so donât worry yourself into an episode over it.â
âI have a restraining order,â she said, her voice steady but far from confident. The acid behind his stare made it hard for her to control the tremble in her voice. âY-You know that. You can be in London, of course, butâŚâ
âI know you do, my little pumpkin-haired princess,â he said, his tone as condescending as his verbiage, âBut, I was in the neighborhood. You know, the financial district, and saw you walking that fabulous little pup of yours.â
Her eyes flitted to the keypad, the red âAlarmâ button in the corner practically screaming to be pressed. She wanted to lunge to it, but her ex-husbandâs broad-shouldered frame blocked it readily. Perhaps she could shove him, she thought, though her gut knew that she could move him even if she tried her hardest.
Sheâd never been able to shove him away before, after all.
Prudence continued to growl at the strange man, her canines flashing, and her impressive berth only accentuated by her splayed pose. Lowering herself close to the floor, she looked ready to spring up and attack, like an overwound toy or Jack-in-the-box.
âEasy there, princess. Iâm not going toââ
When she snapped at his leg, his brow lifted in surprise.
âTemperamental, are we?â Orin sneered, âI never did like dogs. Too needy.â
His words sounded assured, but Constance couldnât help but observe that the man had shrank away from her the tiniest bit.
He was scared of Prudence, she realized. Good. This was very good!
âSheâs weary of strangers,â she offered, tilting her head down slightly.
âDidnât seem weary when you were in the lobby.â
Her stomach congealed. So, he hadnât imagined the feeling after all. âT-Then you must have also seen that I was talking with building security.â
âWho are just SO great at their jobs!â Orin mockingly posed, index finger bouncing in the air as if to tap an invisible period on the end of his statement. âTruly, bravo! I mean, all I had to do was walk in and speak to that lovely receptionist. She heard my accent, and I said I was a friend of yours. I told her Iâd seen you while walking by and had just missed you in the lobby. Not a lie, after all. Then it was just a matter of choosing the right floor.â
âThe right floor?â
âEveryone knows where your decrepit fiancĂŠ lives,â he said. âExterior shots are all over the gossip rags. You should read them, actually! They say some things about you. Mostly about your breasts and age. I canât believe they think youâre a 32DD. We all know youâre aââ
âPlease stop,â she pleaded, holding a hand up, âI donât care. I really donât.â
âYou should. Theyâre short-changing you, babe.â
âDonât call me that. Also, donât insult Ebenezer.â
âWell, anyway, images of you at your last dress-fitting kept me and all the other guys very entertained in the airport,â he said with a smile. âYou ladies all looked so cuuuute! Iâm glad you had some friends for this fitting. It must have been so lonely last time, with just you and your parents.â
âI-IâŚâ
âI recognized Bess â fucking gorgeous lady, tell her I said thatââ
âI wonât.â
ââand the other two ⌠Addie and Gal, yes?â
âIâm not telling you.â
âSo, Iâm right. Fah-bulous. Are they taken?â
âIn every way, shape and form,â she said flatly. âAre you satisfied?â
Orin chuckled a little too hard, until the sound petered out into a garish gasp. Then, his eyes drifted out the nearby apartment window, as if he was lost in thought. She almost thought she could sneak past him, until his eyes flashed back to her at the speed of an owlâs.
âWhat the hell do you think youâre doing, Connie?â he asked. âYou. Here. With him.â
Constance furrowed her brow. âI donât understand the question.â
âYouâre not going to fall for the same song and dance again, are you?â he asked. âDoesnât this feel familiar to you? The courting? The sweet nothings? You, sitting alone in an apartment, biding your time until he grows bored with you?â
It was Constanceâs turn to laugh, but this time, in disbelief. âYou and Ebenezer are nothing alike. Not in any way.â
âNow, that canât be true,â he objected. âAfter all, you love him ⌠and you loved me. Once upon a time, maybe, but you did. We must have a few similarities.â
âI loved the man I thought you were.â
âPerhaps we have acting in common.â
âNo.â
âYou think this one will last?â he asked. âThat a man with his wealth and status will be satisfied with just you?â
âYou have no right toââ
"Want a little insider tip?â Orin asked with a smirk. âThink of men like cabs, babe. When they're available, their light goes on. Ping! They wake up one day and decide they're ready to settle down, have a couple brats, theyâre like a driver on-duty. The light goes on, and then, itâs a race against all the other cabs to get their next passenger. The next woman they pick-up? BOOM! That's the one. Marriage, kids, life-rending depression.â
Constance shook her head. âYou might be like thatââ
ââAll men are like thatââ
ââBut Ebenezer isnât.â
The guffaw that left Orinâs lips was as strident as cannon fire. âYou think you're living a sweet little love story? You got lucky. You were just a pretty, desperate redhead on the curb. He pulled up, and you couldn't wait to hop in, couldn't you?"
Constance couldnât look Orin in the eyes. âI-IâŚaccepted Ebenezerâs kindness, yes. But I assure you, he was kind to me out of the goodness of his heart. He never expected anything in return because heâs a good man. A generous man!â
âRight,â Orin said. âAnd yetâŚhere you two are. Living together. Engaged.â
âStop.â
âA therapist would call this a troubling pattern, Con. Youâre the common denominator here.â
âYou were the one who asked me to marry you!â she asserted, her voice starting to hike in volume.
Then, to her horror, a grin split his face. âOh ⌠thatâs right. I asked you. I flicked my little light on when I chatted you up, bought you a few vodka sodas on starry rooftops, compared you to a Botticelli angel, held your hand when we ice-skated in Rockefeller Center âŚI pulled my car up to your curb. And what did you do?â
He stepped forward again, which sent Prudence into a frenzy of howling and barking. Given the volume of her bellowing voice, it wouldnât be long before neighbors (or security) investigated the noise.
This time, however, he didnât shrink away. Instead, he reared his foot back and landed a solid kick right in her gut. The force sent Prudence staggering back enough for her to lose her footing.
Constance blanched at the sight. âPrudence!â
âYou, a beautiful but dense girl from Manhattan, saw my light was on ⌠and jumped right in.â Â
She flew to her knees and went to check on Prudenceâs condition. Thankfully, it wasnât a second of checking later that the mastiff was back to her senses. It appeared his blow had merely stunned her temporarily. With one shake of the head, she was right on her feet again.
Prudence weighed more than Orin by about twenty pounds, and while she had been holding back before, his attack only shattered her self-restraint. She lunged forward, jaws snapping and gullet foaming with rage. The force of her attack sent him to his elbows with a bone-rattling thump. Prudence didnât cite or claw at him, but she did make a lot of noise while pinning is chest.
As predicted, the commotion caused doors to open in the hall, and Constance heard the concerned questions of neighbors.
While Orin was distracted, Constance bolted up and slammed the âAlarmâ button on the system. Along with the loud, reverberating barks from Prudence, the rhythmic blaring of the alarm created further commotion.
Pressing the button also automatically pinged authorities of an emergency.
It would also notify Ebenezer via cell message â a notification she knew he never silenced.
She wasnât answering.
Ebenezer had no doubt heâd find at least twenty traffic tickets in his mailbox in the coming weeks, but the alarm had been activated at his flat and Constance wasnât answering her phone.
If only heâd been at his usual office; he could have sprinted home, but no. Today of all days, he had been in a meeting outside of London, and had had to drive 15 minutes out to meet a particularly uppity client at their private estate.
Ebenezer had a feeling that the man would become an ex-client after how heâd dashed out after barely a word to Bob and his twin brother Ebenezar, but he couldnât even care.
âDammit, MOVE!â he swore, avoiding a flock of cyclists as he sped down A2198.
Once again, his call went to voicemail, and he immediately dialed again. All he could focus on was driving (AKA not crashing the car) and calling Constanceâs phone over and over.
He left one pleading voicemail after another, begging her to call him back and also letting her know that he would be there soon.
When he finally had a visual of his building, he saw police parked out front, but their lights were off. Most importantly, there were no ambulances or other emergency vehicles. This slightly ebbed his panic, but not enough for him to coast into the buildingâs private garage and find a spot. Instead, he pulled up and parked in the street with alignment that could generously be described as cattywampus. Â
Again, he couldnât care. Let them blast his windshield with parking tickets
Pushing the doors open and sprinting into the lobby, two of the guards immediately went to his side. Their goal had likely been to inform him of the situation, but their insistence upon pleasantries was too much chatter for him to handle.
âSir, weâre glad youâre here!â one said, a light sheen of perspiration already coating their face. âThank goodness, we were just going toââ
âTalk while you walk with me,â Ebenezer ordered, his voice practically bladed with tension. âNow.â
Instead of taking the elevator, he keyed into a private side staircase and took the steps up two at a time. Even professional firefighters would have had a hard time keeping up with the man.
Ten floors passed in the blink of an eye. Upon arriving at his flatâs level, he threw the door open to his floor to see a gaggle of officers crowded around his open doorway at the end of the hall. For a moment, his heart stopped at the sight before him.
Then, amidst a sea of curious onlookers and uniformed constables, he saw a flash of red hair. He would have recognized that hue anywhere.
âConstance!â he yelled, running down the hall at the sight of her.
Upon hearing her name, she turned to face him, her face puffy and her eyes blazing from worry. She was sitting on the floor in the doorway of their flat, Prudence seated at her side and nuzzling her face. They were okay, he thought, barely resisting tears.
She didnât have time to speak before Ebenezer had shoved his way through the crowd and enveloped her in his embrace. They crashed together like comets compelled together by gravity.
Once in his arms, he felt her sink into him desperately, as if she was a small animal seeking solace from a hunter. âE-Ebenezer âŚIâm so sorry.â
He shushed her kindly but immediately, his wide palm falling protectively across her back. He urged her closer, and she obliged with a thankful sob, her shoulders shaking as she wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in the crook of his neck.
âItâs okay, Sunshine,â he whispered, turning slightly to place a kiss upon her damp cheek. âGods, Iâm so relieved to see you. I-IâŚcanât even tell you what I was thinking on the drive ⌠â
As they embraced, Scrooge heard nearby officers chatter about what had just transpired.
âThe bloke said he was here on business, but his name isnât pulling up any employers here or Stateside.â
Business? Stateside?
With Constance still folded tightly in his arms, he looked over to see a smaller group of officers that had gathered around ⌠someone. He squinted his eyes, as if trying to peer through the physical entities that blocked his view.
âIs he going to need a transport for any injuries?â a voice radioed in. âThe dog jumped him, but all injuries look superficial.â
Dog? Were they talking about Prudence? He looked over to see that Prudence was staying close to Connie, hugging her flank closely while laying his head upon one of his bent thighs.
âHey there, girl,â he whispered, his hand giving the base of her skull a scritch. âAre you okay?â
Prudence whispered, and Scroogeâs confusion deepened.
âNo, we checked him out and heâs going straight to holding,â the officer replied, his tone clipped. âHeâs breached a restraining order.â
âActing in contempt of court, huh?â another repeated, followed by a huff of amusement. âStupid bastard.â
Ebenezerâs blood ran cold. The realization of what had transpired hit him like a ton of bricks.
All other senses; his sight, his hearing, his sense of touch; faded away, and all he became conscious of was a building fury that threatened to turn his vision red. There, through the narrowest gap of legs, he saw the distinct pale skin and dark-hair of the man that had tormented his fiancĂŠe for decades.
âYou.â Ebenezer stormed to his feet and crossed the hallway in two steps. He was driven by blinding anger, which caused his heart to buzz like a saw. With the posture of a lion spotting wounded prey, he surged forward and grabbed the front of Orinâs coat. The over-starched lapels crunched under the older manâs fingers from the strength of his grip.
At this lunge, panic ensued.
âMr. Scrooge, sirâ!â
âW-wait! Ebenezer!â
Ebenezer paid the others no mind as he hauled Orin close to his face, their brows nearly touching as he eyed the man like a Minotaur out for blood.
Orin wheezed out a laugh. Only then did he notice the light bruising and raised marks on the manâs neck, each swatch standing out brightly against his sickly skin.
Oh, he would absolutely reward Prudence for her hard work.
âI should put your hard head through this bloody wall, Spiegler.â
âThen weâd both be off the jail, wouldnât we?â Orin taunted. When he grinned, he saw his teeth outlined in red. âSee, I tried to tell Sunshine that you and I were more alike than different.â
"Did you?" he asked, practically snorting in amusement.
"Yes, but I see that time in sleepy little London has made her more of an airheaded bimbo than she already was. She just couldn't seem to grasp the concept."
He raised his other arm in preparation to dislocate Orinâs jaw first-hand, but paused just short of contact. Unfortunately, the goblin of a man had a point, and he was in no mood to be forced away from his wife. Or go to prison.
With a furious sneer, Ebenezer threw the man against the wall in release. The officers fumbled to catch him, but understandably, made no effort to chastise the philanthropist for his reaction.
âGet him out,â Ebenezer whispered, his shoulders hiked up to his ears, and his voice oozed with venom.
âW-Would you like us toââ
âI want everyone who isnât a resident on this floor off of it,â he seethed, his tone oozing with disappointment. âAny officers that need to question us can come inside.â
When his gaze fell on Constance, still huddled next to Prudence on the ground, his icy gaze melted into something more careful and tepid. Slowly, he sank back onto his knees and pulled her into another hug.
âCome one,â he urged, his voice soft and so, so tender. âLetâs go inside. Iâm with you.â
The entire questioning process was as cut-and-dry as it could have been, considering the circumstances. With the assistance of Orinâs digital footprint in addition to the less than glowing testimonies Constance and Ebenezer offered, the authorities were able to piece together a likely series of events. It seemed Orin had lied about his employment status. He was a self-employed crypto investor after having a falling out with his New York office and had no reason to be in London for any professional reason.
âThere is ⌠much for us to look into,â a constable said as they jotted notes in a small flipbook. âMs. DoGoode, you said he made a comment about watching you enter the lobby. Yet, you say you didnât see him?â
âN-No,â she answered, her voice sanded with exhaustion from the dayâs events. âI felt like someone was watching me, and Prudence was looking out the front window too. I ⌠thought maybe I was imagining things? I never actually saw him, though. Not until I keyed in and he grabbed the door.â
âAh.â The officer scrawled another note.
âH-How did he get up onto the floor?â Constance asked. Prudence sat to her right, head in her lap, and Ebenezer sat to her left. One of his hands cupped her knee, his thumb moving in gentle rotations in one of the indents there. It was a soothing reminder of his presence that she was beyond grateful for.
âWeâve already interrogated the main office and are currently looking into where the oversight occurred.â
âThat should be no issue, as there are cameras all over the building,â Scrooge chimed in, peering at the officers with impatience. âThat should alleviate much confusion.â
âYes, it should sir,â one replied. âWeâre working to secure that footage properly.â
âGood.â
Constance watched her fiancĂŠ in intrigue. In all the time theyâd known each other and dated, she had never seen him stare anyone down before, and she had to confess ⌠it was quite unnerving. Regardless of how he addressed the officers, his hand remained tender when touching her.
Meanwhile, while the couple chatted with authorities, other members of the growing Scrooge family pack (comprised of the many friends, associates, and relatives that the twins had connected with) texted in. His twin brother, Ebenezar, had known something was amiss. Heâs watched him sprint from the meeting after all.
Upon receiving a brief overview of what happened, as well as a request to inform the others, the messages trickled in steadily:
>>Ebenezar: I knew something was wrong when you left ⌠but I had no idea that it was that bad, Sammy.
>>Bess: I will KILL that man, I swear.
>>Ebenezar: If the authorities half-ass detaining him, theyâre not going to like the next letter from our firm that crosses their desk.
...
>>Addie: Donât worry about any errands! Tom and I can bring things your way!
>>Tom: You bet we can. Are you both set for dinner tonight? I can run something over.
...
>>Harry: Iâm so sorry, Uncle. Can Hela and I do anything? Just say the word.
...
>>Bob: I just called Mr. Ebenezar as well, and weâre going to divide and conquer at work. Consider it all done.
>>Ethel: What cell is he in? Iâve been taking axe-throwing lessons, and my aim is damn good.
...
>>Gal: If you guys need some door security thatâs worth a damn, Jake and I are free tonight.
...
After one last swipe of their men, the interviewer cleared their throat, the loudness of it conveying a sense of finality.
âWeâll keep you both apprised of any updates,â the officer said as they pushed themselves up from the sofa. With a nod to their partner, they reached across the table to shake Scroogeâs hand. An odd gesture, all things considered, but he did reciprocate, though his eyes remained as sharp as a steel edge.
âI certainly hope those updates include information on whether Mr. Spieglerâs detainment details change,â he said. âClearly an order from the court is not enough to stop him.â
Absolutely, sir. Weâll keep you both posted.â
Constance was relieved the questioning was over, and allowed her fiancĂŠ to take the reins at leading the officers out the door. After a few more pleasantries, she heard the reverberating sound of the door latch and the telltale beeping of the security system turning on for the night.
When she looked up, she saw Ebenezer tentatively approaching her. His footfalls were soft, as if he was walking on snow. His touch was even softer as he reached down to push a few strands of auburn hair back from her face.
âIâm so, so sorry,â she started. Her tone was borderline formal in manner and delivery, as if she was speaking to an associate rather than the man she wanted to marry.
Ebenezerâs gentleness turned to confusion swiftly. âGoodness, whatever for?â
She paused to blink back tears before answering. Another apology left her.
âIâm sorry for how ⌠for how I seem to always make your life more difficult,â Constance said slowly. She directed her gaze at a notch in the hardwood flooring, unable to look her fiancĂŠ in the eyes. She knew in that moment that, if she glimpsed his face, she knew she would cry again. âI-I should have noticed him sooner. I should have trusted my gut better.â
âNo, sweetheartââ
âI should have trusted Prudence,â she said, looking down at said pup, whose head still rested in Constanceâs lap. Upon seeing her sweet, droopy eyes peer up at her, Constance caved as a sob rattled her body. âH-He kicked Prudence, Ebenezer! She was so brave, protecting me, a-and I let her get hurt!â
For a moment, Ebenezer couldnât find the words to speak. Did she ⌠really care more about Prudence than her own safety?
Seeing Constance cry spurred London's finest lady (and treat aficionado) to lift her head and lick the womanâs face, lapping away her tears. She was also incredibly ticklish there, and Prudenceâs kisses dissolved her tears instantly. With peals of laughter leaving her, Ebenezer leaned in and gave Prudence an affectionate kiss on the forehead.
âSheâs a strong girl,â he assured, grinning broadly. âArenât you, Prudence?â
She barked in agreement, her warm and deep âruffâ filling the space.
Constance huffed out another laugh, always amazed at how the pup seemed to understand conversations better than some humans. Although Prudence had done a sterling job at ridding Constanceâs face of her tears, Ebenezer still fished a clean handkerchief from his trouser pocket. He dabbed her face gently, careful not to pull or tug her skin.
âTomorrow, just to be safe, weâll take her to the vet,â he promised. âWeâll get her looked over and make sure sheâs in tip-top shape. Trust me, Prudence has had many children accidentally tumble over her before. She helps the Cratchit children decorate at Christmas, after all!â
Constance giggled again, covering her mouth sheepishly as she did so.
Just the sight of her smile was enough to lift a huge weight from his shoulders. While the entire afternoon had been an exercise in panic, all that mattered to him was that she was safe.
âNow,â he said, placing the handkerchief in her hand, then caging her smaller hands in his, âWhat weâre also going to do is take a holiday. Weâre going to spend some time away from the flat and let things calm down.â
The suggestion brightened Constanceâs eyes, but that excitement was almost immediately tempered. âWhat about work?â
âIâll call in some favors. My brother is a damn fine businessman â definitely better at handling clients than I am. Don't tell him I said so, though. Bob will handle the books. And if all else fails? Well, being a private practice has many benefits.â He then paused to rub his chin in thought. âActually, it might be good to close our doors for a few weeks to give everyone a break.â
âY-You think?â she asked. âWait, but what aboutâŚ?â
âProfits?â he asked, unable to hold back a smirk. âYouâve seen our accounts. We could shut down for the next thousand years and be right as rain. And thatâs a moderate estimate.â
Again, that beautiful smile came back. Mere hours before heâs suddenly been faced with the possibility of never seeing that smile again, and the thought of that physically sickened him.
âSunshine, what you said earlierâŚâ he said, his voice dropping to a whisper, âIâŚnever want you to think that I see your ex-husbandâs actions as a reflection of you. When you say you donât want to make life more difficult for me, I realize that I cannot even begin to describe all the ways your have made my life immeasurably better since we first met.
âSince you came into my life, Iâve been changed in ways that, frankly, I thought I were beyond me. I thought I was too old to experience many of these lovely, sentimental emotions that poets love to wax on about.â He laughed, tossing his head back and staring at the ceiling. âGods, Iâve never met someone who makes me feel so excited every time Iâm proven wrong. Itâs a feeling Iâd wish every human could feel.â
Transfixed, she could only watch as he slowly turned to face her again. âYou have made me excited to face each day. Youâve inspired me to notice small things â before meeting you, I donât think I ever paid attention to those fuzzy caterpillars that come onto the sidewalks after it rains, or the way Prudenceâs nose always wiggles slightly when sheâs about to sneeze.â
âReally?â she asked. Her tone sounded so hopeful that it practically broke his heart.
âYes!â he confessed. The answer couldnât rush from his lips fast enough. âWhen I was calling your phone earlier, IâŚstarted thinking the worst. I suddenly couldnât bear the idea of walking into that flat again if you werenât there, or going back to work and seeing your desk empty. Seeing your coats line dup so neatly in our hall closet. Seeing your make-up on our bathroom sink. Not smelling your perfume on the pillow beside mine. Not hearing you have a sneeze attack every time you smell pepper, or not being able to race you down to the front lobby when we order take-away.â
Constanceâs breath caught in her throat as she noticed tears prickling the cornerâs of her loveâs steely eyes as he rambled.
âWhen I tell you that there is no possible way you could make my life worse by being a part of it, Iâm deathly serious,â he confessed. A tear darted down his cheek, and as he attempted to stifle a sob of his own, she dabbed it away with the handkerchief.
As if this gesture proved his point, a puff of laughter escaped him.
âThe only possible way you could make my life harder or worse ⌠is if you were no longer in it.â
It was his turn to cry as the tension of the day caught up to him, and he felt the floodgates break. Blast, he hated how easily he could be brought to tears sometimes.
What made it easier, however, was feeling Constanceâs embrace circle him. Her hands latched at the base of his neck as she leaned in and covered his broader body with hers. His arms circled her waist, securing her in place, keeping her safe and present with him.
For many hours, they stayed like that, silently sobbing and embracing each other as the anxiety of the day left their bodies in literal waves. By the time theyâd both exhausted their eyes to achy redness, sleep lingered over them with overwhelming insistence.
With mutual understanding, both parted ways to make some small changes before laying down. Ebenezer loosened his tie and Constance removed her constricting pantyhose, leaving her only in her blouse and pencil skirt. He gave her an impish whistle, and she threw that garment at him playfully.
Using her fiancĂŠâs head as a pillow, she curled up atop his body and nuzzled her face against his shirt. Her ear laid squarely over his heart, where she could hear its steady and strong beat just inches away. Ebenezer moved a hand to the small of her back to not only make sure she stayed in place atop him and didnât roll off, but to remind her of his presence.
âIâll watch the door,â he promised, kissing the top of her head. âYou sleep. I insist.â
His broad hand gave her waist a reassuring squeeze, hugging her close.
âAnd Iâll be right here when you wake up.â
>>Hello! Youâre reached the voicemail for Constance DoGoode. Iâm away from the phone right now, but leave your name and number, and I will return your call as soon as possible. Thank you!
⌠<BEEP>
<<Sunshine, itâs me. Please, please tell me youâre okay. I need to know youâre safe. I-Iâm sorry for calling you over and over, and ⌠fuck, I promise Iâll be there soon, angel. I promise. I love you, okay. I love you so much. I-Iâm going to call again. Okay, love you. Please call me.â

thank you!! <3 have a lovely week!!
I'll answer all of them! :D!
2. Go to your AO3 âWorksâ page, to the sidebar with all the filters, and click the drop-down arrow for âAdditional Tags.â What are your top 3-5 most used tags? Do you think they accurately represent your writing habits?
So this one is kinda interesting, because it's very different if you include all my works (207 thus far (soon 208) and I'm not done transferring everything from my FFN days) compared to my One Piece offerings, which is what you, my specific friend, are most familiar with. Under all stories my list is:
Prompt fic (117)
Fluff (says 55, toggles to 57)
Alternate Universe (says 41, toggles to 60)
Not Beta Read (37; the real tag is no beta we die like Roger: laughing at the chaos we've caused)
Angst (25, toggles to 33)
...but if we filter to only One Piece stories, we've got (aside from the specialized No Beta tag and designating what originally posted to FFN):
Alternate Universe (18)
Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence (10)
Crack (9)
Pre-Canon (6)
Alternate Canon (6, toggles to 11)
That's... a difference. The first list is pretty clear that I've done a lot of prompts with plenty of fluff, angst, and AUs. The second focuses in on those AUs. I do have a lot of non-searchable tags in the more recent offerings, which affects things. They're both pretty spot-on, though playing around with my filters brings surprising stuff in many of the categories.
10. How do you decide what to write?
I do not decide what I write. God decides what I write. Sometimes He leaves it to my brain. That's usually a disaster.
15. What's your favorite AU that you've written?
I love all my AUs what are you talking about...
If I had to pick one I think my favorite right now is a tie between little seagull, little seagull, where shall you go? and Adventures with the Denizens of 1000 Sunny Rd, just because they're both really fun for completely different reasons. One's just the Great Dilfening of Trafalgar Law in its varied forms and the other is Modern pseudo-Midwestern American AU w/Sunny as a sus af party house in rural suburbia that totally isn't based on my local metro area what are you talking about. Both torture Law though, and that's what counts. :D
42. Have you ever received a comment that particularly stood out to you for whatever reason?
A comment that stood out? Well, I think comments that stand out to me are usually the long ones, as well as the ones that end up in long-winded conversations and exchange of fandom squealing. While I've gotten some in recent years, I cannot express how it was very different back in the heyday of my years mainlining FFN. So, like, 2004-2010, I'll say. Those were really good days, and people loved commenting/reviewing! There were still lurkers, obviously, but there was way less commodification of fandom like we see now. It's definitely not a "fandom old yells at teens" thing because I know it's not necessarily fandom's fault for the shift and is instead the corporate end that has trained us (especially newer fans) to treat media and fandoms alike the same one would cheap paper towels, but that's not what fandom is, and oh would you look at that I strayed from the topic.
21. If you wrote a âmissing sceneâ in Double Date from Hell, what would it be?
A missing scene from Double-Date From Hell? Well then, don't mind if I do...
âAh, thereâs your kid,â Bell-mère noted. She watched Law cross the street from the hospital to head into the restaurant a few cars ahead of them. At least he was in scrubs and a doctorâs coat, making it a little less likely heâd murder them. âDidnât you teach the little shit not to jaywalk?â Jaywalking is the least of our worries right now,â Cora replied, his eyes following his son as he disappeared into the restaurant. âWhat if they see right through us?â He worried his hands as he grew progressively more fidgety in the passenger seat. âTheyâll be too off-guard to think that,â she replied. From her vantage point, she could see the kid walk to the back corner of the seating area and slide into a booth, face getting real close to someone with very orange hairâmustâve been Nami. âCome onâwhereâs your sense of humor? It was working great last night.â âLast night I wasnât staring this down so concretely,â he frowned. âI donât want my kid and his super-cute girlfriend to hate me now that theyâve both met me.â âIf she hasnât run for the hills yet, theyâre fine.â Bell-mère winked and killed the engine. âCâmon, letâs get this party started, shall we?â

How do you or would you headcannon Bilbo and Thorin accidentally proposing or getting engaged and how would they proceed when they find out or the other accepts the proposal? Do you think Fili would be helpful to the situation or just laugh about it?
okay okay okay so im really sorry for not answering your first message yet i havent forgotten it!!!i just cant choose an OC for it i just have way too many and that battle royale takes some time
I blacked out for half and hour and this is the result i guess (most of it under the cut cause its kinda long)
okay so accidentally im headcanoning theres some sort of betrothal braid for dwarves (which like yes it has been done to death but again accidental) and bilbo like just offers to braid thorins hair on like a lazy morning of very little to do in the shire, theyve been to the farmers market, thorin has done his social call at the bee keeper to check in on his bees (hes allergic so they cant have them in bag end so he has a bee sitter, but theyre still his bees and he is kinda obsessed w them, just as much as his veggie patch thank you very much, his zucchini won a prize recently actually)
so anyway thorin gets home (bilbo went home after the farmers market) maybe its starting to get a tad autumnal and they cozied up outside on the bench and bilbo offers to braid his hair because "oh look at that youve got a leave or two stuck in your hair, really early ones this year" so he untangles bits and strands of thorins hair and then decides why not braid it, it would look so nice braided he likes braids all the dwarves like braids in their hair, he's seen so many dwarves in his life and they all had braided hair and beard styles (more or less kili is an outlier and refuses to be counted) so he weaves his fingers through thorin's hair and voila would you look at that! he is actually kinda proud of himself
thorin only notices the braid and the specific style and nature of the braid once he wants to braid his hair for bed (for safekeeping so it doesnt get frizzled and tangled while he sleeps) and he pales and then blushes because what is this? and he tries to undo it but then - - - stops
he leaves it that way, he thinks it suits him and besides whos gonna notice anyway, it can be his secret for now. so he secures the braid
it isnt until after the harvest, and after thorin and bilbo started fretting about the weather further east, especially in the mountains, especially with them expecting company that has to cross those mountain passes that must be quite treacherous with the first snowfalls of the season, that thorin remembers the braid.
not that he ever forgot it, he makes sure its in tip top shape every morning afternoon and evening, bilbo has even commented on him becoming vain in his old age (not that Thorin is old) and everytime he does it fills him with so much warmth and giddiness that he just has to scoop up bilbo and smother him in kisses (which doesnt help with endless the teasing but thorin can tease back plenty) but he remember that even tho bilbo doesnt know what it means (or at least thorin thinks his lover doesnt, bilbo has after all never really done anything to show that he knows about dwarven customs like this one specific one) that they have enough visitors coming to fill every nook and cranny in bag end who do know the precise and very specific meaning of that braid.Â
So he tries to explain, he tries his best, he doe his best to at least try and get bilbo to understand, to prepare him for the onslaught of stares and jests and rowdy comments, he cooks a fancy meal, a four course one that would make every hobbit housewife proud (and he did have some tips from his bee sitter mind you, where to forage the best mushrooms which butcher has the best mutton, the best herbal marinades, the hobbit essential to giving your special someone a special someone, she even wishes him the best of luck with his endeavor and squeezes a few extra bottles of honeyed ale into his hand and even sends her grandson?? Thorin isnt quite sure how this young hobbit is related to her but he is, he looks like he is to get some flowers, o thorin must be a pitiful sight, he couldve gotten the flowers himself, he knows which ones are bilbos favourite wildflowers, the bouquet filled with some ears of barley some sunflowers and some umbels of elderflower for their sweet smell) but he accepts never the less and hurries on home, his arms overflowing with baskets and flowers and bags
His only silver lining is that the company isnt supposed to arrive until later this week, that he has a few days still, a few days to make this right, to explain things and learn more about hobbit customs, especially the ones that have to do with the whole spending the rest of thor life together part, right now that seems like the most important part, the part that makes his heart hammer wildly and makes the pieces all set in place, makes him see it all clearly.
The road leading up to bag end is already jammed with carts and ponies when he arrives, most of these dwarves he knows of course and most of them are on their way to the blue mountains and only staying long enough to unload their gifts and trunks and passengers right at bilbos door. He almost wants to drop everything hes carrying, all his treasures, and hurry up the rest of the road, the last few metres to bilbos door
Bilbo has to knowÂ
he needs to know
He elbows his way through the gathering crowd, pushes past hobbits and dwarves aside alike not really caring if they moe out of the way in time or not, he wants to apologise but also this is not the time his mind is only focused on one thing and that is getting to that door and to bilbo before-Â
âUncle!â comes a unison shout followed by a stern âWell if that isnt my oakhead of a brother, hello dearest, oh whats this then?âÂ
and thorin almost trips over his own two feet.
âYou two?? Engaged?? And not even a raven, my my what a great brother i have in you.â
Its bilbo that pipes in to save him âwell⌠erm⌠we were going to wait until you all arrive, isnt that right, honey, thats why you bought all that food.â
âThats not gonna feed us all after our long journey, but congrats I guessâ Dis claps him on the shoulder and thorin feels his soul leaves his body, he can see mahal and mahal is facepalming and shaking his head in disappointment as if he just lost a bet with his wife.
When he comes back to himself, fili is the only other dwarf still standing outside the door of bag end, mouth agape, like he too just lost a bet.

hospital tripping
it starts with us in my school hallways weree giving out something. im w 3 other people. n when we reach the rubbish bin someone said to the other person that he dated his brother. the guy spits out his water. also gru was there somewhere
now im watcing a drama video about this person. TURNS OUT THAT IT WAS NOODLES EX. (i dont think noodle actually has an ex) and like its a minecraft drama video czu of course it is. smhmyhead. and they do an interview with noodle and her username is censored. BUT YEAH. I KNOW A NOODLE WHEN I SEE ONE. and im like uhhhhhh i wanna ask noodle about it. but i dont wnana cuz it seemed recent n they didnt tell me so like. i end up in the hospital.
next section
im in a corn maze n it plays out like pacman in 3rd person back and im like i wanna go everywhere. so eventually i end up on a highway in a car learning how to drive and im connected to another car w my friends parents by a dog leash. so im learning ho wto turn. then they go into the middle field so i go in too and start to relax and i lay down on my back. then the leash breaks. my friends parents say thi is why we have solutions to things. and they fix the leash. but i done caused traffic on the entire highway and everyone was yelling and mad. people start to walk out of their vehicles and complain. someones like "is this why all of [SCHOOL] is leaving" or smth like that and im trying to pick up all my things off the ground. my mom picks me up telling me its time to go. im sobbing and i drop my brushes and she keeps on trying to tell me its time to go. but i told her that we paid for all of these. i have a lot of brushes. and i eventually get all of them. im back in the hospital. the same room as before. i left my notebook in there. i look out the window. its all white and bright. someone visits me. i dont remember or know who. but we were friends.
now im at school. and its all people who also went to the trip. its nighttime there and the lights are all on. it looks nice. i walk thru the 2nd floor hallway. theres some people whispering abt me. i go into the library and sit at a magenta tbale. i cry for a little bit and leave after. i see an old school friend while leaving. we just stare at each other. my friend takes me upstairs and on the top of the stairs are 5 coloring pages with 5 colors. red, green, yellow, blue. she says that not all colors are accurate to the piciture because the fmaily doesnt want to do it. ok but HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS???? PHILOSOPHICAL MUCH??? i go downstairs again and i see that old friend again and we just stare at each other again.

If thereâs one chemical that causes excitement in the search for biosignatures on other worlds, itâs methane. Itâs not a slam dunk because it has both biotic and abiotic sources. But finding it in an exoplanetâs atmosphere means that planet deserves a closer look. Methane captures scientific attention mainly because of its short duration in a planetary atmosphere. Methane canât withstand starlight for very long, at least not in terrestrial atmospheres. It succumbs to photodissociation and needs to be replenished continually to maintain its presence in an atmosphere. If a rocky planet has a lot of methane, then the source has to be massive, making a biotic source likely. On Earth, biological activity creates an enormous amount of methane. Metabolically, methane is not difficult to make. Methane is common in our Solar System, though not necessarily plentiful. As far as scientists can tell, itâs all abiotic. Processes like serpentinization could explain it. Serpentinization is a natural, abiotic process involving water, carbon dioxide, and the mineral olivine. Olivine is common on Earth and is the primary component of our planetâs upper mantle. Weâve also found it on the Moon, on Mars, and on some asteroids. Recently, the James Webb Space Telescope detected methane in the atmosphere of WASP-80b, a gas giant about half as massive as Jupiter. WASP-80b orbits a K-type main sequence star about 1.5 billion years old. WASP 80 is about 162 light-years away, and WASP-80b is the only planet detected around the star so far. This image shows the measured transit spectrum (top) and eclipse spectrum (bottom) of WASP-80 b from the JWSTâs NIRCam. In both spectra, there is clear evidence for absorption from water and methane. During a transit, the planet passes in front of the star, and in a transit spectrum, the presence of molecules makes the planetâs atmosphere block more light at certain colours, causing a deeper dimming at those wavelengths. During an eclipse, the planet passes behind the star, and in this eclipse spectrum, molecules absorb some of the planetâs emitted light at specific colours, leading to a smaller dip in brightness during the eclipse compared to a transit. Image Credit: BAERI/NASA/Taylor Bell. Since WASP-80b is a gas giant, then life is ruled out, barring some extreme sci-fi scenarios. But the serpentinization of olivine, the most well-known abiotic source of methane, is also ruled out since WASP-80b is not a rocky planet. But finding it is still interesting. Thatâs partly because we can now compare the exoplanet to the methane-containing atmospheres of Uranus and Neptune in our own Solar System. That can only help us understand future methane detections better. A new paper published in the journal Nature presents the detection. Itâs titled âMethane throughout the atmosphere of the warm exoplanet WASP-80b.â The lead author is Taylor Bell, a post-doc researcher at the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute. WASP-80b is a warm Jupiter. Its temperature is about 550 Celsius (1,025 F; 825 K.) So itâs in between hot Jupiters like HD 209458 b (the first transiting exoplanet discovered) and cold Jupiters, like our Solar Systemâs largest planet. Our Jupiter is about 112 Celsius (235 F; 125 K.) Three Jupiters: Our Jupiter (L) is a cool Jupiter. WASP-80b (M) is a warm Jupiter, and HD 209458 b is a hot Jupiter. Image Credits: Jupiter: By NASA/Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory/Southwest Research Institute. WASP-80b: NASA. HD 209458 b: By JohnVanVliet â Own work, CC BY-SA 4.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=87759452 The temperature is an important point. Thereâs a dearth of methane detections in exoplanet atmospheres, so at this stage of the game, each detection plays an important role in developing atmospheric theory and guiding follow-up research. WASP-80bâs temperature puts it in âan interesting transitional regime where equilibrium chemistry models predict that there should be detectable CH4 and CO/CO2 features in the planetâs transmission and emission spectraâŚâ the authors of the research explain. WASP-80b is really close to its red dwarf star and takes only three days to orbit. Because the planet is so far away and so close to its star, even the powerful JWST canât actually see it. Instead, astronomers used the JWST to study the combined light from the star and the planet in transits and eclipses. There havenât been many methane detections in exoplanet atmospheres by telescopes like the Hubble and the Spitzer, which can both observe in infrared, though not like the JWST can. The lack of detections led scientists to develop theoretical explanations of how methane could be depleted in atmospheres. High metallicity, high interior heat flux, and other reasons were explored as methane depletion mechanisms. Since the JWST has now detected methane, it raises an important question. âHowever, this definitive detection of methane throughout the atmosphere of WASP-80b with low-resolution, JWST spectroscopy raises the question to what extent past non-detections were affected by the sparse wavelength coverage and precision achievable with HST and Spitzer,â the authors write. So if astronomers keep detecting methane in more exoplanet atmospheres, we may have to change our thinking about methane as a biosignature. This figure from the research shows the light curves from WASP-80bâs transit (L) and eclipse (R) observations with the JWSTâs NIRCam instrument. One thing to note is that the error bars in panel c are smaller than the point size. That indicates a strong detection. Image Credit: Bell et al. 2023 âAs we find methane and other gases in exoplanets, we will continue to expand our knowledge about how chemistry and physics work under conditions unlike what we have on Earth, and maybe sometime soon, in other planets that remind us of what we have here at home,â the authors wrote in a NASA blog post. The researchers explain that finding exoplanets with methane in their atmospheres also helps us understand our own Solar System. âNASA has a history of sending spacecraft to the gas giants in our solar system to measure the amount of methane and other molecules in their atmospheres,â the authors write. âNow, by having a measurement of the same gas in an exoplanet, we can start to perform an âapples-to-applesâ comparison and see if the expectations from the solar system match what we see outside of it.â NASAâs Voyager 2 spacecraft captured these views of Uranus (on the left) and Neptune (on the right) during its flybys of the planets in the 1980s. Both planets have methane in their atmospheres which makes them appear blue. But they have different amounts. Uranusâ atmosphere contains about 2.3% methane, making it the third most common component. Neptune contains about 1.5% methane. While that may not seem like a huge difference, it could be a clue to how and where planets like these form, either in our Solar System or elsewhere. Image Credit: NASA/JPL/Caltech The researchers also say that measuring methane alongside water helps define how and where a planet formed. âFor example, by measuring the amount of methane and water in the planet, we can infer the ratio of carbon atoms to oxygen atoms,â they write. âThis ratio is expected to change depending on where and when planets form in their system.â Astronomers can use this data to determine if a planet formed close to its star or formed further away and then migrated inward. The JWST likely isnât done with WASP-80b. This data is from the space telescopeâs NIRCam instrument. Future MIRI and NIRCam observations will probe the planet at different wavelengths, which should detect other carbon molecules like carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. âOur findings lead us to think that we will be able to observe other carbon-rich molecules, such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, enabling us to paint a more comprehensive picture of the conditions in this planetâs atmosphere,â the researchers explain. While methane catches everyoneâs attention because of its link to biology, this research shows us another side to methane. It can help us understand how and where some planets formed and if they migrated. Methane detections in exoplanets will help us build a better overall understanding of exoplanet atmospheres. They can even help us understand our own Solar System, about which we still have so many questions. The JWST is poised to play a key role in building our knowledge of methane and atmospheres. âOne thing is clear: the journey of discovery with the James Webb Space Telescope is brimming with potential surprises,â the authors say. Embrace Smooth and Natural Hair Removal at home with Sugar Waxing
Introduction The pursuit of smooth, hair-free skin is a typical objective in hair removal. However, the techniques used range widely, from conventional razors to cutting-edge laser treatments. Sugar waxing is a technique that has become more popular recently because it is a safe and efficient approach to get rid of unwanted hair. Using sugar waxing kits at home is convenient and makes it simpler than ever to get salon-quality results. We'll go into sugar waxing in this blog post, examine the advantages of utilizing a kit, and show you where to acquire one. Understanding Candy Waxing An ancient Egyptian practice called sugaring, sometimes known as sugar waxing, has been around for centuries. To remove hair from the root, a natural paste mostly composed of sugar, lemon juice, and water(w) is used. Sugar wax is gentler on the skin(s) and less prone to cause allergies or irritating reactions than standard waxing, which employs resin-based chemicals. Since the sugar paste sticks to the hair and not the skin, the discomfort related to hair removal is decreased. The Advantages of Sugar Waxing Organic Substances: The ease of preparation of sugar wax is one of its most important benefits. You may make a sugar paste free from harsh chemicals using sugar, lemon juice, and water that can be applied to even the most delicate skin types. kinder to the skin Sugar waxing doesn't stick to living skin cells, so there's less chance of irritation or redness. This makes it perfect for anyone with sensitive skin or skin that is easily irritated. Less Painful: Because the sugar paste is administered at body temperature, it considerably lessens the pain felt when using hot wax. Additionally, the ripping sensation is significantly gentler because the paste just holds the hair and not the skin. Sugar waxing eliminates hair from the root, which results in slower regrowth than shaving. You can have smooth skin for several weeks if you wax regularly. Sugar waxing exfoliates the skin as well, eliminating dead skin cells and revealing a radiant complexion.
Using a Home Sugar Wax Kit With sugar waxing's development, anyone who wants hair-free skin in the comfort of their home can now use it. The equipment and instructions needed to successfully finish the process are included in sugar waxing kits. These kits frequently include reusable fabric strips, sugar paste, and occasionally wooden applicators. It's crucial to properly clean and dry the area you want to wax before using a sugar wax kit. Cornstarch or baby powder can be lightly sprinkled on top to help absorb any excess moisture and improve the sugar paste's adherence. You'll have smooth, hair-free skin once the paste is applied for hair growth and removed against the law of change. Where to Buy Kits for Sugar Waxing Sugar waxing kits are offered online and in shops that focus on skincare and cosmetics. There are numerous possibilities available on online markets including Amazon, eBay, and specialty beauty websites. Read product reviews and the ingredients list before buying a kit to be sure it's a high-quality, natural hair removal product. Conclusion In the quest for smooth, hair-free skin, sugar waxing appears as a natural, delicate, and effective hair removal technique. You can put an end to using traditional razors and harsh chemical treatments by switching to the ease of sugar waxing kits made for home usage. You may take care of your skin and embrace an age-old method that has survived the test of time in the comfort of your own home by embracing sugar waxing.

hi this is the anon before who said their only criticism for tmc was the timeline, but after al3xâs recent twitter qna i suddenly have a few others things i want to say about this series that iâm not sure where to share so iâm going to dump it in your inbox if thatâs ok <3
anyway first things first i just want to say i love tmc, itâs one of my favorite analog horror series, i love the characters and the aesthetic, i love getting on discord to watch the newest videos with my friends, but even as my favorite series iâm still willing to criticism it (excluding the timeline thats already a mess).Â
and lately iâve been thinking about it after rewatching the latest video a few times and seeing other content creators react to it, iâve just now realized that the series⌠doesnât scare me anymore? maybe its because iâve been watching it for a while, but probably not because the old videos still ruin my insomnia after i watch them tgouivrfi but aside from that ever since vol4 was released i just havenât gotten scared by anything presented in the new videos at least once.
like the latest video didnât give any horror vibes for me especially when adam namedropped god like ok cool (although i did love the sarah+evelin interactions we were given and hope thereâll be more of that duo), and the diary thing just idk its interesting but meh. this is just my opinion tho i hope no one attacks me for it
then i saw al3x say in his qna that vol1 was his least favorite video overall and tbh that⌠kinda makes me sad? because i still love that video since it still frightens me to this day, and seeing him not like it and make a new version that had some good parts removed + make it less scary just ehh this series really isnât as frightening to me as it used to beâŚ
its probably because of everything thatâs gone with crewdela, with gab3 being fired and the community being infested with minors who want to sanitize horror (and a certain person in the crew who shall not be named) so this is just the end resultâŚ
but at the end of the day this is al3xâs series and heâs free to do what he wants with it and i will be seated for vol5, its still an interesting series to watch at the end of the day but just not as scary for me.
anyway sorry for traumadumping LOL /j
ohyah, you're free to info dump w/e thoughts you got! :3
i was honestly in the same boat as you, where tmc used to be my top series of all time cause of the usage of religion here, instead of the cookie cutter aesthetic of haunted animatronics or aliens invading the earth. while rlly not scary to me overall, the unsettling nature behind was enough to spook me!
however, as you've mentioned, it just stopped being scary overall when not only god was namedropped like that but....the intrigue around the series was just gone when "gabriel" revealed who he rlly is after all this time. the reveal happened way too soon, and using the usual "THE DEVIL WAS BEHIND IT ALLLLL" is just eh :/ could have made it where it could have been something else puppeting the body of the archangel gabriel??
and tbh, with how much lore and attention is given to emo fuck ( adam lmao ) here, it's feeling more and more like a damn soap drama that your grandparents would watch lmao nothing rlly horrifying, unsettling, or even violating in the sense that it's supposed to be intimate given the core concept that used to be present in early vids ( there's a reason why intimacy and religion tends to go hand in hand )
all the biblical horror flies out the window when we're seemingly supposed to care about adam here -- i honestly don't give a shit about the guy atp lmao i was here to watch some actual frightening shit, not...this
yeah, alex has mentioned several times that vol 1 wasn't his fave but goddamn, did he just...rlly made the scare factor and nostalgic elements even worse. nothing there to grasp you except "LOOK! THE ANIMATION IMPROVED!! :OOO"
those are my thoughts there lmao x3
#Anonymous#forever salty that this series just got *so sanitized*#religious horror is such a good concept#that when you fuck it up or just drop it entirely; it's like ''well what's even the point for caring?'' :/
