hi hina rank all the jjk ops and eds!
ON IT BOSS
VIVID VICE : ABSOLUTE PEAK. ALWAYS IN MY HEART. MASTERPIECE. Also the only jjk song that continues to b in my liked songs rotation (I get tired of ops/eds real quick most of the time so for one to stick around as long as this has is no small accomplishment). It’s just . Exactly the kind of music I like what can I say :'>
Ao no sumika: this was a TOUGH race but I think I like it just *that* much more than kaikai kitan . it's something about the melody it sounds like summer it gives me *luna vibes somehow??? And tatsuya has the voice of an angel so
Kaikai kitan : if I rank eve any lower I will be beat with rocks but real talk it’s just SO good ,, also nothing will ever top watching this op for the first time and hearing eve to accompany it what an honestly perfect intro to the series as a whole
akari: the guitar in this gives me chills its so beautiful I love it SO much. As an ending theme it’s S tier. if we were just ranking the endings itd b first . Mwah
Lost in paradise: a certified Bop but I don’t like it enough to listen all the way through ,,, It’s kind of one note n I get bored after the first verse
SPECIALZ: overhyped imo is that a hot take? maybe im in the minority here but i just . ehhhhh. i skip
More than words: POINTS FR THE END VISUALS SO MANY POINTS IF WE WERE RANKING BASED ON THAT ITD WIN but th song is meh imo gomen
Give it back: points for making me want to commit die conceptually but apart from hurting me it's just not my thing musically :(

besides unbelievers, what other saiou fics do you recommend? (also thanks for drawing them so much! i’m very fond of them 🥰)
oho its been awhile since i cooked up a rec list... here's just a handful i really enjoy/ed:
pine soot | M, ongoing, noir AU | when you need underworld information, there's one organization you go to--but when a detective working off-the-clock turns up on Dice's doorstep, things get complicated fast. | also written by the lovely person that brought us Unbelievers! top tier ouma + squad fic with a heap of slowburn saiou. celestial's skill with writing atmosphere and intrigue shines through; so excited to see where this story goes...!
underbelly | M, no killing game AU | Kokichi wilts in stillness. Shuichi tries to understand. | short character study that beautifully captures the push/pull of each of ouma/saihara's insecurities. also: killer closing line
The Gospel Truth: Such a Cold, Hard Thing | post-canon | Or, Kokichi walks Shuichi home after a day at school. | i don't mind admitting i cried reading this :) all of OP's works are wonderful, this one just really yanked the heartstrings out (but there's a sequel if you need to have your emotional injury kissed better)
be the thing that buries me | hanahaki, saiou + harumomo | “We’re only fucked if they know. And they don’t. I just have to keep it a secret until it’s too late.” He grins brightly. “That’s why I need your help.” | op is right maki + kokichi could be an incredible friendship were the circumstances of Everything different
now you're speaking my language | hope's peak AU | Today, when Kokichi is bored, he is inventing a new language. | inventing a secret puzzle language to share with your crush is conceptually the sweetest thing of all time
The head of a pin, the tip of a knife | knife play (sfw) | A second round of the knife game. | knife romance knife romance knife romance!! this saihara has some chp 6 saihara energy if you know what i mean which is to say: hell yes hell yes
you fool yourself | canon-compliant | You fool yourself; that's privilege. | the awful intimacy inherent to violence!! fun ouma character study
and i'm sure it requires no introduction, but among all timeloop fic floating out there, Reaching is the juggernaut. incredible!!
happy (or, given the nature of this series, not so happy lmao) reading!

The Dangers in My Heart S2 was a wonderful sequel that improved on the good points of S1 in the right ways! I was impressed with the thoughtful character writing and the genuine relationship development between Ichikawa and Yamada.
Ichikawa really grew on me throughout the series! I really enjoyed seeing him grow as a character. It was great to see more of Yamada’s insecurities too. Unfortunately, since the story is from Ichikawa’s POV, we didn’t get more of Yamada’s side of the story.
The supporting character deserves a shout out too! I think their interactions with Ichikawa and Yamada made the series well-rounded.
The production value of the show was impressive! The character animation and visuals really stood out. The OP/ED are top-tier!
One thing that irked me was the fanservice elements (which were thankfully not frequent).
Overall, this series was a lot of fun to watch week-by-week!
8/10

Now then, there's a good chance that when the dust settles, G-Witch will be among my favorite anime, if not my favorite anime. I've certainly never loved or developed such a strong attachment to any other anime in my life. I love it, despite it's flaws.
But it is flawed. The 1st season is pretty solid. It's slow paced but it builds up the characters well and gives the show that much more tension when things go south. But it feels like they got too ambitious in trying to expand the scope of the story in S2, and it started to catch up to them. The pacing was fast but fine, until the final 4 episodes, when everything started to catch up to them and they had to really rush things along. The bones were there and it was fine, space magic and all, but they didn't give the final arc enough time to breathe.
If they had been given 3 seasons from the start, and had been allowed to tell this story over 36 episodes, I think it would have been phenomenal. There would have been so much more time for character developments from the school episodes, so much more time to expand upon the world and political situations they wanted to touch on but just didn't have enough time for in 24 episodes. And even with the 24 episodes they had, if they had just trimmed a lot of the unnecessary fat introduced by trying to expand the story too much, I think the final arc would've been amazing.
I wouldn't be surprised if we learn in the future that there were behind the scenes issues with this show, beyond just the production falling behind. It really does feel like they were setting up for more seasons in S2, but something spooked Sunrise/Bandai, and despite the sales numbers, they made the staff have to rework the ending to wrap up everything. It's just baffling to me that they had a bona-fide hit on their hands, the biggest since SEED, and they made the staff end things as conclusively as they did. Even if I didn't want it, I thought a 3rd season was a forgone conclusion.
I'm going to love G-Witch anyway, flaws and all, because it delivered on a satisfying conclusion to the character arcs of Suletta, Miorine, Elnora and Eri. And there's so much else there not tied to the plot that was amazing as well: animation, music, mechanical designs and OP/ED themes were all top tier. But I can definitely see how some people will be disappointed or look at this show and go "what if?"

anime ive watched in 2022, ranked least to most favourite:
12: overlord (2015-)
(this show doesnt deserve a gif)
listen. its a bad show. anyone who tells you is good is marvelpilled to see action=good. the world setup and characters had a lot of potential in season 1, but with each season it got progressively worse. the show spends a lot of time developing side characters, and then kills them off just to show how strong the protagonist is. said protagonist goes through little to no character development over 4 entire seasons. even the action and fights arent well done theyre just fights. everything’s a curbstomp and it sucks. idk man even fic cant fix this one.
11: tales of phantasia (2004)
Tumblr media
pros: seeing the characters animated instead of in little pixeled sprites. cons: everything else. its a bad adaptation.
10: chainsaw man (2022-)
Tumblr media
this one’s also not for me! i think its a really good show, between the pacing, interpersonal relationships, and animation (plus a different ending per ep is god tier). but it makes me feel bad to watch and not even in a cathartic way.
9: spy x family (2022-)
Tumblr media
its a fun show! the animation’s great and its funny. but it doesnt stand out to me as much as its hyped. definitely recommend, but doesnt compare to my other faves.
8. black butler (2008)
Tumblr media
the story? WACK. the characters? WACK. made me laugh though and it was really fun to watch as like, something id only heard about back in middle school. would not recommend but i had fun watching it. plus, its one of the few shows (ok first seasons) that actively keeps its word and doesnt try to pull a deus ex to save the protag at the end. we need more of this.
7. the case study of vanitas (2022-)
Tumblr media
the way this show deals with unreliable narrators and complex interpersonal relationships and still manages to have incredible worldbuilding… the characters are all so well done and i NEED to have more of it animated.
6. demon slayer (entertainment district arc) (2022-)
Tumblr media
i dont care what anyone says i love this show. best quality animation of the decade. super compelling cast of characters. i watched the rest of the show last year, but this one gets included bc its new and it made me rewatch the entire show twice. that fight at the end had me truly speechless
4. komi cant communicate (2021-)
Tumblr media
i laughed until i cried several times while watching this and that alone puts any show near the top for me
3. fabiniku (2022-)
Tumblr media
see above. every ep had me in tears. best ending song of the year (hiii most played song). plus its gender.
2. mairimashita! iruma-kun (2019-)
Tumblr media
life changing show. to me. like i dont even know what to say about it. character designs rule. op/ed AND musical songs are good. first anime to make me pick up its manga in a literal decade. theres nonbinary characters. its an isekai. every character makes me go :D when they come up on screen. 11/10
1. mob psycho 100 (2016-2022)
Tumblr media
show of all time TRULY. nothing i can add that hasnt been lauded on here before. soundtrack, animation, character designs, writing, attention to detail, humour, it has EVERYTHING. has a (new) favourite character of anything ever (ritsu). ive rewatched it three times in 3 months (incredibly high praise from me)

1 and 8 for the op/ed ask game?
hi hi hi!! ty for sending an ask !!! :D
1. Fav op/ed:
op: ok there's a lot to choose from but admittedly. Kick Back from csm (by kenshi yonezu) hits different in like every aspect for me? visual metaphors, animation, song is literally so good, just top tier for me for sure. close second is 99 from mp100 (by mob choir) because it's also . so fucking good. those vibrant colors and maximalism babey
ed: again so much to choose from but I'm gonna go with Kamisama no Iutōri from the tatami galaxy (by etsuko yakushimaru) !! I was really awed when I first heard it a very long time ago and it still holds out. close second is Zanki from csm (by zutomayo) again for stunning animation and style and song is perfect fr which also applies for most of csm's eds tbh.
8. An op/ed you always skip
ok admittedly i don't stay for many eds unless they're bangers but I very rarely skip an op so this is hard... I think I skipped the rahxephon op almost always just because it's not very memorable </3

Anime I Watched in 2022 Part 1:
1. Belle 3/5
*spoilers ahead*
Ughhh I really wanted to like this one. The songs and ost’s were amazing and the visuals were beautiful. I think the creators focused so much on the music that they lost sight of the plot. I had so many questions at the end of the movie: why did she go to rescue the kids on her own; couldn’t her father or some other adult go with her? Why did they build up a romance between her and Beast for nothing to come of it? Why after the entire movie of her friend not being interested in her, he suddenly showed romantic interest? I really wanted to love this movie like everyone else did but I can’t.
Tumblr media
2. Promare 5/5
EPIC. The only word I can use to describe this movie. From the soundtrack, to the visuals, storyline and likable characters, this one will hook you from the opening scene. This one will have you feeling like you’re on an acid trip but it’s a good one, trust me. This is one anime movie I can see myself rewatching many times and never get tired.
Tumblr media
3. Banished from the Hero Party 4/5
Such a cute romance. Very likable characters. The plot was interesting and the romance was so adorable; my only criticism is that it felt a bit rushed at the end but overall it was a great series. Doubt we’ll be getting a second season though 🥺
Tumblr media
4. The Boy and the Beast 4/5
This movie got a lot of negative reviews and I can’t understand why. It was so interesting and going in blind I didn’t expect certain events to take place. I really enjoyed this one. The artwork, the soundtrack and even the characters were all amazingly done. If you haven’t watched this one give it a chance. Ignore all the bad reviews and go into this with an open mind.
Tumblr media
5. Demon Slayer Season 2 10,000/5
Where do I begin with this masterpiece. Uzi Tengen has my heart, ; honestly he’s my second favorite Hashira (Giyu being the first ofc). Can we nominate Inosuke as the MVP of this season? This was a relatively short Arc but my god the studio did such an amazing job that every Sunday I was glued to my screen. Once again the Op and Ed were greatly done. The animation was top tier. The voice acting was superb. This is one of those series that I’ll actually sit down and rewatch with no problems
Tumblr media
6. Moriarty the Patriot 4/5
This one has been sitting in my watch list for a while. I don’t know why I never gave it a chance before but I’m glad I did. This was such a nice twist on the Sherlock Holmes world. It was so good that in the beginning I didn’t even realize that the characters were based on the Sherlock novels (yes I missed the first couple minutes of the first episode but don’t worry because I binged it after I was done); this series got me supporting criminals without even realizing it. The writing in this was so good. And the chemistry between Moriarty and Sherlock 😚. My only criticism is that after reading the manga A LOT was left out that really fleshed out the stories and characters. Seriously hoping for another season but from that ending I really doubt we’ll get one.
Tumblr media
7. Eight Six 86 5,000,000/5
I really want to kick myself in the behind for this one. I started this late last year and dropped it after the first episode. I really wasn’t feeling it. Maybe because mecha isn’t my favorite genre of anime but I wasn’t hooked so I put it aside and convinced myself that I would continue once the second season had been concluded; I didn’t. But a tiny voice at the back of my mind persuaded me to watch it and boy am I glad I did. The soundtrack was godly. Jesus Christ I don’t think I’d love a soundtrack more than AoT and Gintama but this won me over. The characters were all likable; expect the republicans of San magnolia, they can all rot in hell. It depicts a more realistic take on racism and war that your heart breaks for the soldiers especially knowing that most of them are children. Shin and Lena, two characters that never met face to face had so much chemistry that they could give a lot of Shojo animes a run for their money. I loved this series so much that I went on to read the novels. I might do a more in depth review on those later but seriously everyone needs to give this anime a chance.
Tumblr media
8. Ranking of Kings 10,000/5
This is another series I almost ignored but thank goodness good sense prevailed and I gave it a chance. I was one of those who judged it because the artwork looked like classic cartoon drawings but my first indicator of this being a spectacular series was that it was being produced by Wit Studio. The character development in this one was amazing. What I loved about this series is that we couldn’t judge a character from first meeting them. Everyone had their reasons and stories for being the way they were. Boji is not your typical anime protagonist, with many disabilities that made the people of the kingdom judge him harshly, he definitely deserves best boy award and the world. Watching him at the beginning of the series had me crying in the middle of the night. Seriously he deserves everything. And queen Hilling is the MVP of the series; she took the clichéd step mother role and turned it on its back. If you haven’t given this one a try please do, you won’t regret it.
Tumblr media
9. Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 5/5
There are no words to describe how much I enjoyed this season. Seriously, Mappa outdid themselves. I know a lot of people are upset that we have to wait for Part 3 but I actually prefer that they take their time to animate the ending because there’s still so much to cover. Also can we talk about how amazing the OST’s were this season. Like goddamn!
Tumblr media
10. Parasyte: The Maxim 4/5
I really enjoyed this one. I did. Honestly. If you ask me why I feel so cheated with the ending I can’t tell you. I guess I expected a more of an all out war between Migi and the other parasytes but nope. Trust me I get it, the ending was the most reasonable but I still felt like something was missing. Maybe I need to rewatch. But story wise, it was great; the main character was very likable. Seeing him turn from a regular teenager to cold, emotionless and back to his self was enjoyable. Tbh I didn’t really like the female lead but I guess she grew on me in the last episode. Also, the opening and ost’s were giving me an eargasm.

SxF Chapter 55
(Beware spoilers)
Okay, first of all, so many things happening for sxf fandom! I feel so blessed to be part of this fandom 🥰
Spy x Family get an anime!! AAAAAHHH! I'm loving all the artworks, and the tiny bit of Loid's voice. Uuhh... I can't wait to hear Yor and Anya, and the background music, the OP the ED, and of course, to see my favorite panels in color and moving!
And earlier that day, we were granted with vol 8's official Yor art that is so awesomely drawn. She's so pretty 🥰🥰
And then, we have this closure chapter (before the family fluff I believe), that is so warm, almost like it tend to Yor's wound. I'm sobbing 😭😭
We are so blessed. Thank you so much, Endo!
Okay, now unto the chapter.
So, Loid showing off his analytical skills, which once again reminds us why he's considered one of the best.
Tumblr media
His deducing skills here??? Top tier!! 😫👌👌
Unfortunately, he needed to experience the ugly side of bureaucracy (Ugh, I always hate when spelling this word. As I also hate the meaning of the word).
Saving face? Usual practice. Fortunately for the SSS, Twilight here was the worker type that had so many creativity to overcome the obstacles given to him.
He managed to save the ship, and all of its passengers. During his vacation nonetheles!
Btw, I love the parrallels here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heh.... Loid really learned a thing or two from his wife.
Plus, as @eldraftsman point it out, the arc opened with Yor yeeting something, and ended with Loid yeeting something.
Yep. So poetic 🤣
Another parrallels that I noticed:
> In this arc, Yor's "boss enemy" (a.k.a Sniff Jobs and Snoop) managed to get away from Yor, but getting blown away by Loid.
> In Inusan Crisis, Loid's "boss enemy" (a.k.a Keith) managed to get away from Loid, but getting kicked by Yor.
And in both arcs, Anya was the one pulling the string, manipulating people here and there, to keep her parents (and everyone else) save. Using any disguises and any reasons and any acts accordingly.
Tumblr media
🤣🤣
I love this family so much. They really are meant for each other.
Love this Loid getting soft, and slowly but surely turn into real family man.
Tumblr media
He's become a real dad.
Good for you, Loid 🥰
Now the thing that made me sobbing in this chapter, were these panels:
Tumblr media
I love the metaphore in these panels.
How Yor viewed herself as "dirty". She never enjoyed to be in this job, but then she reminded herself that she is doing this just for a simple purpose: to prevent tragedy befalling one or two person near her.
And by Olka being "the person" to be at the recieving end, didn't hesitate in holding Yor's dirty hand, it's as if Yor's simple wish was approved. And she was rewarded with warmth. From both the mother and the innocent child.

A real warmth that perhaps Yor has forgotten.
These panels.
With her dirty hand, getting a hug from contended Gram. I'm..... I-....... *sobs* 🥲🥲😭😭😭😭
Yor finally get the overdue recognition for her hardwork.
Now please Endo, let Yor got the warmth from her family next, yeah? 🥲🥲
Bonus??
The soft McMahon.
As a family man himself, he of course understand a thing or two that made Yor showing that face.
Tumblr media
Finally he let go of that strict mask of him, and gave Yor her rewards. The director relayed Loid's message to Yor. He even teased Yor not to use swimsuit 🤣
Ah, this side of him, made me wonder if @lacrow theory is right. That McMahon's family was long gone. 🥲
Anyway, this week has been super awesome for us.
And I can't wait to see the Forger family reunion 🥰 To be exact, I can't wait to see Loid's face when he saw Yor after 2 days separation.
Praying hard for TwiYor content here 🤞
