ME1 Systems
This list was made to not only catalogue where missions were, but to also make note of all the collectibles that you can scan for.
*this list was based off of Legendary Edition, but it should still be applicable for the OG trilogy(?)
The formatting is as follows:
>System Cluster -System name Planets Missions
*if there are multiple asteroid belts in a system, Asteroid belt 1 refers to the belt closest to the star.
*Cardinal directions are used to describe where the collectible is in belts, and so north is the top of the screen, east is right, etc.
A ME3 list will be coming soon! And if people are interested I can document all the discovery blurbs you get from scanning non-minerals: insignias, writings, etc. (hell, I might do it anyways but its nice to know I'm not shouting into the void)
If you find any discrepancies or have any questions let me know!

I crave your brilliant writing, Stumpy. How about #14 for the Things You Said prompt, "...when I wasn't meant to hear." ' v '
Very much inspired by your art and writing! My brain fully derailed on the tone but I love the Gammas and I bet they will have issues adjusting to the SoF and letting their walls down while they lick their wounds. I did crack open D*vine Wind again and that was a mistake so apologies for the tone.
-
Being a Spartan, an alive one, meant having near perfect situational awareness. It was beaten into you at a young age. Like a lot of other things.
You and your siblings were the last of your unit. Your pack, your family after the one that borne you died in fire and plasma, were clinging to life by the skin of your teeth.
You looked out for each other. You learned from your elders. And you always knew where the exits were and who held the keys. You and your siblings watched the docs and nurses and orderlies. You watched your mom sleep heavily under the drugs keeping her from feeling the skull fracture. You watched the IIs with open curiosity - how could they be so similar and different from Blue Team. You all knew it was time, but seeing it in person was strange. They were rough around the edges, eerily similar to you and your siblings, not fully tempered like Blue Team. Not yet.
You heal fast. The doctors whisper. You try their synthesized smoothers, under observation, and feel the world slip into focus a little more with every adjusted dose. You feel their eyes on you. You hear their fascination muddled by fear and discomfort. They're not a green crew but they only had 3 Spartans before and now they have 6.
And you're not like other Spartans. Not even like the rest of your generation. Gammas were something else. IIIs aren't as polite as IIs, there wasn't time in the suicide trainings for manners or etiquette or scholarly discussions.
Your team has specialists in stealth and information so it's only a matter of time before you heard it all. Gross devaluation of human life, ethics violations, just kids with scarred tissue aged at least a decade. Ticking time bombs, drain on resources, maybe not in so many words but hearing what they didn't mean to say, reading between the lines, knowing who on staff would break first was important to keep them alive. None of them were in top fighting form.
But not for long.
Still when you are welcome and abhorred by the same doctors that had one of your own under observation you had to play it safe.
The fighting was never done. Playing for time and breathing room was standard operating procedure at this point. ONI had made them see enemies in allies and vice versa.
All they could do now was wait. Time would iron out the rest of the details.

Going to go with DS9 for your "5 things you'd change" ask meme. Curious to hear your thoughts :з
send me a tv show/book/fandom and i’ll say the top 5 things i’d change about it
So, I'm biased and I'm tumblr user ezrisdax which means I need Ezri to exist but that said I'd change how Jadzia died. I've personally never been a fan of that, the ending and how she said her goodbye to Worf and Sisko was fine but Dukat killing her like that just...did not appeal to me at all, I hated that. Now how I'd have her die I don't know. Maybe while she was stuck in the Changeling mind trap place they gave her a drug and it's been slowly tearing down her ability to host the symbiont. (maybe that also means it can be removed but Jadzia has to be rushed to Trill and in a coma and thus gone for a time and Ezri is there still, I can still come up with Jadzia lives AUs right?). Or have her die defending the station just not...turning around and hey Dukat is there. At least let her get one punch in to him please.
Ezri and Julian and I don't have to expand on that, dear god, no.
Worf and Jadzia's wedding, not the wedding itself but the lack of the TNG characters. Like yeah I get not wanting to pay them etc etc but also listen, I need Jadzia and Deanna meeting properly and teasing Worf. It has always bothered me they weren't there for his wedding.
Jadzia's lack of interaction with other characters after Worf's arrival. I do feel starting season five it gets really bad; she doesn't have a lot of interactions with the others that don't also involve Worf in some capacity after that and while I do enjoy that ship I wanted more weird Trill adventures as it's own thing.
Alexander's whole thing in DS9, I didn't think it fit him at all and I absolutely hated it. Like first of all he should have just been with Worf anyway I thought we went through this in TNG and second of all he's never been interested in the Klingon stuff and he shouldn't have to and then why did they make him an idiot at it? He was a smart kid, c'mon.
Did I say top five? Just kidding here's more because I can't decide. Everything about Profit and Lace. I tend to skip over that episode during rewatches and it's bad. I think they should have brought Pel back instead and have another episode with her where it shows how much she's flourished and profited in the Gamma Quadrant.
I minute thing that's also always bothered me, Mirror Jadzia dies for....???? reasons? Like Ezri in the Mirror verse is Ezri Tigan, she doesn't have or need the symbiont and they just drop that Jadzia is dead that episode for zero reasons, like why couldn't she be away on a mission or something. I'm sorry but that stuck in my head and ate away at me for the longest time.
Sisko and Ezri and the lack of a relationship in any way after the third episode of season seven. Like she Dax and she pulls him back in and I think them navigating a new relationship again where this time Sisko is the mentor figure would be way way way more interesting then the Ezri/Julian storyline they stuck in instead.
VIC FONTAINE. I hate that fucking holoprogram. Too many episodes were about him and why the fuck is there an alive mirror verse version of him?????
Screw SNW I want a DS9 musical episode.

. TW: Attempted suicide, violence, a small bit of angst, hating your parents?
. (this is gonna have multiple parts :3, and this is very much a slow build story sorrrry)
. authors note, masterlist, rules, and taglist below ;3
There you were. Standing on the ledge of HQ, staring down at the ground below you.
The wind was blowing calmly through your hair, a soothing feeling.
You stood there, eyes shut just thinking. You breathed in calmly, and out shaking.
You want to feel something. Anything at all.
You heard him call out your name. Thats when you leaned forward and allowed yourself to fall, letting go of your worries, and the tinge of betrayal you felt.
You let yourself fall, not shooting out a web to catch yourself. You opened your eyes, seeing the ground get closer and closer to you, almost. As the wind rushed between your fingers, you began to think.
'Why am I here?'
You shut your eyes again, the ground so close, as if you could caress the pavement. Images surging through your mind, taking you back. Way back.
~~~~~~~~~~
[1 month prior]
"What do you mean I can't draw anymore money out? It's my money- is it not?" You asked the bank teller, annoyed that she won't help you.
"I'm sorry sweetie, but without you having some kind of steady income I can't draw out more money for you. I know this was left to you by your parents but the businesses that they had open aren't functioning anymore. I'm sorry I really am." The bank teller tells you regrettably, placing her hand on top of yours.
You flicked her hand off yours and looked down in your lap, "Okay, so you're saying if I get a job I can get more money out?"
"Yes-" You stood up before she could say anything else blurting out a 'thanks' and storming out of the bank.
You thought about how your parents screwed you up. You hated them with every part of your being.
They tested on you as a kid, shoving test tubes in and out of you, pricking you with needles, feeding you disgusting liquids and serums, hooking you up to machines and moniters.
They tested on you with spider venom and blood. Exposing you to dangerous amounts of radiation and gamma rays. As much as you tried not to think about the torture you went through as a kid, wishing you could only remember small bits and pieces. But unfortunately, you remember everything.
The testing they did on you gave you spider-like abilities. You could climb walls, shoot out webs from your wrist, made you extra sensitive to sounds, you could feel the vibrations of everyone walking and other things alike. Just something your parents cursed you with.
Your parents died. They were killed, probably pissed someone off. 'Deserved' You thought to yourself. After they died you had to live with your uncle Micheal and his shitty girlfriend Beth. Uncle Mike died too, you were more than upset. He was your rock and *poof* he was gone. His girlfriend moved on and wanted nothing to do with you, you were cool with that.
Dragging yourself from your thoughts you opened up the door to a diner. The sweet smell of buttercream pancakes and syrup flood your nose, the smell so strong you could almost taste the bacon.
You sat down at a booth and waited for a waitres to come up to you.
After about 5 minutes, a short blonde woman with a round face came up to you with a pen and pad.
"What can I getcha darling?" She had a sweet southern accent, surprising since you're in the north. Her name tag said, 'Donna' in pretty cursive writing.
"I'm uh- I'm actually wondering if I could get a job here?"
Her eyes widen slightly, but smiles softly.
"Yes of course sugar~ I'll be right back!"
You smile back at her and watches as she trails to the back of the diner.
As people begin to place their tips down and leave you realize how small and empty the place is.
The lady comes back with an equally as short and stubby man. A tall and lanky man comes out from the kitchen as well with a broom, he gives you a toothy grin.
'I'm gonna like it here.'
[2 weeks later]
You were wiping down tables and brushing crumbs on the floor. The lanky man you first met 2 weeks ago hands you a bottle of vinegar.
"Thanks Randy." You give Randall, or Randy as you like to call- him a smile when you grab the bottle from him. You spray small spurts on the table and wipe them down.
John; the stubby man from before, walks out from the kitchen and grabs a remote. He points the remote towards the small box tv in the corner of the diner and places his hands on his hips, flicking between channels before stopping on the news.
"Oh my god..." Donna says as she drops the broom on the floor and brings her hands to cover her mouth.
You flick your eyes up to the box tv, hearing everyone's cries coming from it. The sound of the news reporter being drowned out as you look at the villain on tv.
She's nothing you've ever seen before. She's different than the other villains you usually fight.
She was a tall, 7-8 feet. She was semi-reptile with dark green hair and piercing yellow eyes.She was scaling the side of the empire state...
It looked like she didn't belong here...
You snapped out of your trance and began to speak up.
"I uh I have to um go- I have to uh... i have a doctors appointment."
You began to rush towards your bag, the bag that has your spider suit in it.
"Johnny we should just tell her we know.." Donna says in a hushed voice.
You freeze in your tracks.
'They know? How do they know?'  You weren't going to lie to them anymore. After these long two weeks Randy, Donna and John have become your...third family.
"H-how?" You say walking into the bathroom with your stuff. You slipped out of your work uniform quickly and put on your spider suit. You walk out the bathroom with your mask in hand looking at their faces.
"You leave at odd hours, or whenever someone is attacking the city," Randy speaks up giving you a somber look.
"I'm the one that brought up the bruises to everyone, wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one that saw them." John says chuckling a little to lighten the mood.
'I could've hidden those better' You think to yourself as you pull your mask on.
"Well. Guess it's out then. I'll be back, I always am."
You ran out of the diner, but looked back and waved before you slung out a web and pulled yourself away.
You swing from rooftop to rooftop, getting as close as you can to Empire state. You didn't even think as you swung yourself onto the building, scaling up the building faster than you ever have. The sounds of people screaming and glass breaking flooding your senses, your muscles screaming at you to stop climbing.
"HEY." You scream as you ram your foot into the reptiles face, barreling her inside the building.
"Who the fuck are you- what are you?"
"Fia."  She growls her name at you as she lunges forward, gripping you in between her large hands.
You two are falling through the air, getting closer and closer to the ground.
You punch at Fia but she doesn't let go.
You begin to tear up, thinking this may be your last time alive. You claw and scratch at Fia but she doesn't let up, she smiles devilishly at you.
You shut your eyes.
You feel a strange warmth and light engulf you.
You hit the ground hard causing you to scream out.
You cough and roll over to your side, you peel your mask off and open your eyes taking in your surroundings.
'Where the hell am I..?'
You hear Fia yell, saying something along the lines of let me out. You turn over and see her stuck inside a red-like net and other...Spider-people? around her.
"Are you ok?"
You whip your head back around as you hear a husky voice beside you.
It's a man with sharp features and tan skin, hair slightly below his ears, he's..cute.
"What the fuck~" You slur and say with a confused look before falling back and passing out, everything fading to black...
For the top five ranking ask.
Top five Sonic video game characters?
5) Gamma. For being a filler character that died in a game of 1998 and never came back again (at least, not as himself), his emotional impact is immense. Not only it was a novelty to play as one of Eggman's robots, but just... his character arc of realizing that he deserves better than Eggman as his master, his quest to kill/free his siblings, and the poignancy of his death, they didn't need to go this hard.
4) Amy. No special reason. She cute <3 she's spunky and represents the power of compassion, she loves Sonic but she also wants to help others. When written well, she's an adorable badass girl.
3) Tails. He was my icon here for years :P I relate to him and his character arc of growing up to be more than Sonic's shadow (an arc happened in 1998 btw cough cough), and also he's so cute and fun to play as <3 and he's Sonic's best friend through and through! The Unbreakable Bond! Love it!
2) Eggman. An entertaining villain that combines callous selfishness and one hell of a style, what with his flying fortresses and amusement parks and casual defacing of ancient ruins :P narcissistic and determined and quite cunning at his best, he's a worthy foe to face over and over and he doesn't need to be replaced anytime soon.
1) Sonic. The one. The myth. The legend. The friend of all time. I love my boy so much, he's cocky but loves his friends and he's effortlessly awesome and he's so polite and happy to help for no other reason than he wants to! He's truly freedom incarnate, and an inspiration.
thank you for reading all of it let me know what names are your favorites
The names are okay overall. I also have an Amethyst, but she's not a tribute, so it should be fine.
I'm confused as to how the kids were born if their parents died in the Games. And how did both parents die, and now the kids are sent into the games as well? Were they all reaped?
Io da ieri continuo a pensare a quei disgraziati del team marketing Balocco. Quelli che in una riunione di brainstorming, svariati mesi prima del Natale, hanno avuto la brillante idea di fare questa operazione commerciale in collaborazione col top di gamma delle influencer, il non plus ultra, massì, puntiamo in alto, successo assicurato! E così hanno pagato un cachet esorbitante, si sono ritrovati con il 20% di prodotto invenduto (costi per realizzarlo, costi per distribuirlo, costi per smaltirlo), e alla fine si sono pure beccati circa mezzo milione di multa per pubblicità ingannevole. E sì che se ne erano anche preoccupati: non volevano esplicitare una relazione diretta tra vendite e donazione, perché non sussisteva. E perché va bene che la charity rende tutto più notiziabile (viceversa chi se lo caga un pandoro industriale che costa 10 euro), ma non si può proprio dichiarare il falso, speculare sull’equivoco, strumentalizzare la beneficienza e intestarsi meriti e donazioni che non ci sono, no? E invece sì. La comunicazione che ne è derivata (comunicazione che, per chi non lo sapesse, parte sempre da un comunicato stampa congiuntamente redatto e approvato dalle parti), era ingannevole per i consumatori. Tutto in buona fede, s’intende. Mi chiedo se quei disgraziati abbiano ancora un impiego o se, come succede nel mondo dei comuni mortali plebei alle dipendenze di qualcuno, non sia saltata qualche testa. Mi chiedo se quelle teste sappiano ancora come pagare le rate del mutuo a tasso variabile oppure no. Mi chiedo soprattutto se questa vicenda possa diventare una bella case history di insuccesso, di quelle raccontate ai corsi di alta formazione, di lauree in digital-cose, insomma una parabola che serva a formare i futuri manager e a ricordare alle aziende che i soldi possono essere investiti diversamente: in beneficenza a chi ne ha bisogno, certo, ma pure distribuendo premi di produzione ai dipendenti, offrendo benefit aziendali ai lavoratori, retribuendo gli straordinari (ove non retribuiti); assumendo le persone invece di fare tagli sistemici all’organico da anni; investendo sulla formazione del personale; aumentando gli stipendi che sono fermi da decenni e sono tra i più bassi in Europa mentre il costo della vita è alle stelle. Avete letto che per circa la metà dei 40enni che percepiscono la tredicesima, essa va destinata in toto al pagamento delle spese arretrate? No, per dire, cosa accade in questa privilegiata fetta del mondo occidentale. Qualche volta, in qualche corso, qualcuno disse: non esiste pubblicità migliore per un’azienda di quella che fanno i dipendenti soddisfatti. In quel caso, non vi arrivano nemmeno le multe dell’Antitrust, pensate un po’. Con cordialità, dalla mia anima ingenua, populista e sindacalista. Memorie Di Una Vagina, Facebook
AFFINESSENCE • GINGEMBRE-LATTE • Top Notes Collection • Eau de Parfum •
Dealing with an incantation. A milky freshness that last forever. A blast for my olfafeelings. Trust the process.
.
Dopo il successo ed i riconoscimenti internazionali ottenuti con la prima collezione fragranze dedicata alle Note di Fondo, Sophie Bruneau con Affinessence coglie l’attimo e omaggia l’esuberante freschezza delle essenze esperidate, che costituiscono il bouquet aromatico tipico delle Note di Testa, con la sua recente trilogia olfattiva, Combava-Cédrat, Bergamote-Racines, Gingembre-Latte.
Oh sì, c’è del profumo in questa meraviglia!
Gingembre-Latte è un’esperienza imperdibile, di assoluta unicità nel panorama dei profumi di alta gamma.
Alexandra Carlin, che ha sviluppato la fragranza con Sophie, ha saputo trovare il registro perfetto per mantenere inalterate nel tempo le note fresche, e solo quelle! Su pelle non subiscono evoluzione alcuna e sono quindi apprezzabili in purezza, senza distorsioni aromatiche (testa/fondo) di sorta.
Ciò attiene all’estro creativo oltre che ad un originale procedimento tecnico che concede a queste note una definizione realistica e un’eloquenza longeva.
Inusuale, allettante, raffinato il dosaggio tra note fresche e sfaccettatura gourmand.
Questo zenzero brilla nella sua tonalità acidula circondato da accenti citrini speziati di verbena, pepe rosa, citronella e, quando sembra smarrirsi nell’accordo di te verde, mate e latte, ne riscopri la corroborante presenza, rinnovato in floridezza, filtrato da una piacevolezza soffice e cremosa.
È un finale di delizia ad emergere dal sottile intreccio di baby patchouli e germogli di ribes nero, prodighi a trattenere nella scia tutta la dolce freschezza che questa creazione promette, un’intensità aromatica luminosa, stabile e persistente, come mai percepita prima d’ora.
Di chiara entusiasmante bellezza.
Creata da Sophie Bruneau e Alexandra Carlin.
Seems like the Atomic Age inspired every second superhero to get his or her powers through radiation. The radioactive spider bite is probably the most well known example, but I saw some pretty wacky ones. Wondering if you know any other crazy or interesting ones too?
A lot of the Silver Age superheroes were radioactive, in no small part because Stan Lee was a nut on the subject and didn't particularly care about the actual science. So in addition to Spider-Man (and many of his rogues' gallery), you have the gamma bomb test that created the Hulk and many of his rogues' gallery (although Al Ewing invented a fascinating Kabbalistic mythology on top of the whole gamma radiation thing), the radioactive ooze that blinded Matt Murdock (and created the Ninja Turtles), and on and on...
Tumblr media
The one you're probably less familiar with is the first origin story for mutants in the X-Men:
While the nuclear origin of Professor X and the 05 were eventually superseded by Chris Claremont's decision to shift from atomic radiation to genetic mutation, which would be formalized as the X-Gene, X-comics didn't completely abandon the Silver Age origin story for mutants. Building on Xavier's backstory of being the children of government scientists working at a top-secret project at Alamagordo, New Mexico (a clear allusion to the Trinity Test conducted at Los Alamos as part of the Manhattan Project), Fabien Nicieza, Craig Kyle, Chris Yost, and especially Mike Carey invented the Black Womb Project.
Tumblr media
In a feat of paranoid conspiracy rarely seen outside of a game of Illuminati, the Black Womb Project was a secret genetic mutation research group using nuclear research as a cover story. Led by "Dr. Nathan Milbury" (aka Mister Sinister aka Nathaniel Essex) and the almost-as-evil Amanda Mueller (aka "the Black Womb Killer"), the Black Womb Project hired Dr. Brian Xavier (Charles' father), Dr. Kurt Marko (Cain Marko's father), and Irene Adler (working undercover to foil Sinister's bid for Dominion).
This project involved wildly unethical experimentation on thousands of children abducted by FBI agents Fred Duncan (who would become Professor X's FBI liason) and Carl Denti (the future anti-mutant villain "X-Cutioner"), including many of the Silver Age villains like Fred Dukes (the Blob) and Mortimer Toynbee (Toad), as well as experiments conducted by Drs. Xavier and Marko on their own children Charles and Cain. Supposedly, the Black Womb Project was designed to test a number of different methods of activating latent X-Genes...
But secretly, Nathaniel Essex/Mister Sinister was intending to use the Project as a springboard for his goals for immortality and ultimate dominion through something called the Cronus Device. This involved the implantation of Sinister's DNA into Xavier and Marko so that if Sinister ever died, a failsafe would activate that would wipe the minds of Charles, Marko, and their descendants and implant Sinister's mind and abilities into them.
While Sinister's plans were foiled by Irene Adler's precognition and Amanda Mueller's attempt to usurp the Cronus Device and replace Sinister's backup with her own (Mueller's mutant power gave her immortality but not eternal youth, so she wanted to use Sinister's backdoor to clone herself into youthful bodies), it did succeed in installing a Sinister backdoor into Charles Xavier and Cain Marko that Sinister would eventually infiltrate into the mutant DNA database at the heart of Krakoan resurrection. Sinister then used his backdoors to attempt to seize control of the Quiet Council and create an intergalatic mutant empire, which he would then sacrifice to fuel his ascension into Dominion.
Okay so
For various reasons, Sonic Adventure (SA1) is among my dead favorite games. The two relevant to this rant are the characters and the gorgeous soundtrack (in fact, I might go on a tangent about individual songs at the end of this).
My favorite character in the game is E-102 “Gamma” (btw if you derail this post about Omega, you die), a robot built by Eggman, who runs on animal power, as Eggman’s robots usually do. However, Gamma contains a very special animal - it’s a surprise tool the will help us later. Five minutes into being born (and after training, ofc), he is forced to shoot his brother, E-101 “Beta”. Following this, he board’s Eggman’s ship (the Egg Carrier) and is tasked with catching the tailed frog. Upon collecting the frog, he is transported to the past, where he experiences childlike wonder at the chao. Back on the Egg Carrier, the rest of his siblings are cast out because of their failure to get the frog. After that, Gamma is sent to execute a prisoner. On the way, he makes a wrong turn and ends up in the machining room, where he experiences eldritch horror at the sight of his brother being disassembled and reassembled. In the prison, he finds Amy Rose, who has a blue bird flying around with her looking for its parents. She convinces him not to kill her a la Mindy Animaniacs, and protects Sonic out on the deck of the ship, further confusing Gamma. He leaves the crashing ship, now convinced to “rescue” his disowned brothers. After successfully disposing of them, he is ambushed on the Egg Carrier by Beta Mk II, who feigns death in order to shoot Gamma in the back, and they both die as a result. Lo and behold, Gamma and Beta contained the parents of the bird. Reunited, they fly off into the sunset.
TLDR: Gamma is Eggman robot who experiences eldritch horror and compassion and forsakes his master as a result. He “rescues” his siblings before dying himself, and the animal inside him reunites with its family.
Now, a little more background before we get to the main point. SEGA Sound Team popped off for this game. Each character has a theme song that plays during their respective recaps and end credits (each one has an entire storyline with slight variations on who does what (it’s all happening at once)). Side note: I’m like 70% sure SA1 is the origin of Knuckles jazz. It should also be noted that I have a youtube playlist of songs on queue for downloading, and when I run out of ideas I scroll through the recommended additions section.
E-102’s theme is in my top three favorite songs from SA1. You’ll never guess what it’s called! Theme of E-102γ. And that’s my first talking point. I was reading the comments on one of the music videos, and one of them made a connection that his theme doesn’t get a proper name because he’s just another cog in the machine. Even Big the Cat has a greater role in the main story than him. And yet, doomed by the narrative as he is, he gets his own story. As another comment pointed out, each story has its own (literary) theme: Sonic is Adventure, Tails is Independence, Knuckles is Recollection (I’m kinda iffy on that one), Amy is Protection, Big is Friendship, and Gamma? Gamma is heart and soul. Compassion. Morality, something that shouldn’t be possible, and definitely isn’t comprehensible for a robot, especially one of Eggman’s creation.
As a side tangent here, I’ve been putting rescued in quotes when it comes to Gamma and his brothers, but I realized something between the time I started writing this and now. The animals that drop from the E-series robots are birds. They’re all his brothers, inside and out. I had always assumed that Gamma had meant rescue only in the liberation sense. I never realized that he meant it both ways. I just… I’m need a moment.
As a side side tangent, I think this is one of the biggest differences between E-100 ZERO and the rest. To my knowledge, he didn’t have any animals, much less another bird, and that was what led him to the brutish oafishness that we see displayed by him.
Back to the main points, I think that all of this is reflected in the song. It starts out with all of the synth, vague vocals, electro, etc. that would be expected from the theme of a robot, and then you’ve got… PIANO. Oh my god the piano. Piano Man has its harmonica, and this song has its piano. In the midst of the circuits, the wires, the computers, there’s life, a heartbeat, a soul. And with the soul comes that twinge of sadness. Sure he freed the animals, but to do so, he had to kill his brothers with his own two (?)(does the gun count?) hands. Due to this and the cumulation of everything else, hearing the song (or the variation of it) during his final cutscene hits and hits hard.
youtube
THE REPRISE OF THE MAIN THEME PIANO AS HE DIES IN OBSCURITY. THE OTHER BIRDS ARE LIKELY THE ONLY ONES THAT END UP KNOWING ABOUT HIS DEATH
It’s okay I’m okay I’m so normal about this
Now that the main rant is over, it’s time for me to hoot about the other songs
Be Cool, Be Wild, Be Groovy …for Ice Cap
I get that it’s a snowboarding section, but still. THEY BOTHERED TO USE GUITAR IN A SNOW LEVEL. NAME ONE OTHER INSTANCE OF THAT THAT ISN’T LITTLE BIG PLANET’S THE WILDERNESS’S SITAR.
Limestone Cave …for Ice Cap
Ambience plain and simple. Good for falling asleep to
Snowy Mountain …for Ice Cap
Another ambience piece, this time with another guitar (no this doesn’t count for the challenge I posed above). Love the mix of electric and acoustic
Welcome To Station Square
“The train headed for the Mystic Ruins will be departing soon.” Came for the guitar, stayed for the trumpet.
Red Barrage Area …for Hot Shelter
SAX (shout outs to the rest of Hot Shelter’s music btw)
Militant Missionary … Boss Egg Walker & Egg Viper
Hopelessness, despair, DRAMA. Things may not have gone to plan, but Eggman is surely still the one in control.
And finally, shoutouts to Bad Taste Aquarium, Pleasure Castle, and Dilapidated Way for going full throttle right out the gate.
Quel pirla adorato di mio cugino si è comprato l’iphone 15 (top di gamma fra l’altro) spendendo un rene e un pezzo di milza e dopo tre giorni l’ha dovuto rimandare perché quella cacata di cellulare per 3/5 identico al 14 surriscaldava come un piano ad induzione per cuocere le uova.
Gli iphone ormai si sono appiattiti sui livelli dei vari android cinesi e steve jobs si alzerà dalla tomba come undead per ammazzare chiunque nel reparto sviluppo.
Se gli azionisti hanno guadagnato più dei Ceo, chi è rimasto indietro sono i dipendenti. Nel 2023 la remunerazione media dei responsabili delle aziende quotate a Wall Street è stata pari a 300 volte il salario medio dei dipendenti della società, in netta crescita dalle 255 volte dell’anno precedente. Da questo punto di vista la società Usa con la massima sperequazione fra top manager e dipendenti è Coty, azienda che realizza cosmetici per brand come Gucci, Calvin Klein e Tiffany. L'amministratrice delegata Sue Nabi ha ricevuto un pacchetto remunerativo di 149,4 milioni di dollari, la maggior parte dei quali provenienti da un premio in azioni di 145,8 milioni di dollari. Questo dato la colloca al terzo posto nella classifica dei manager Usa più pagati e le permette di essere al primo posto per il più grande incremento di stipendio del 2023: il suo è salito del 4.000%. La sua remunerazione è pari a 3.769 volte lo stipendio medio dei suoi dipendenti, che con 39.634 dollari all’anno sono fra i meno pagati in Usa.
