Finally made a proper cover for Grueling and bitter work (my fic) (Heavenscoin🥺) because what else would I be doing with my spare time? I honestly prefer this one than with the title cause I feel like I screwed up with the layout :'))

So in terms of fics I like, I had to go back to my faves list to see if there is a pattern somewhere. Apparently there is lol, and it can be summarized into hurt/comfort and whump lol.

On a more detailed note, I like a lot of character exploration, particularly with fear (or lack of thereof). Like stories where a character doesn’t feel like they’re good enough but chooses to try and push on. Or where a character has nothing to lose and they don’t realize they’re walking a dangerous line they won’t come back from if they make a choice.

In terms of physical aspects, horror elements tend to be a fave. Body horror, monster horror, irrational creepiness, the whole nine yards. Psychological horror could go here too maybe?

That all being said I love a good tooth rotting fluff fic if there’s any that stand out for you. Comedy and crack are also fun. As for ships, I don’t have much ship preference so I’ll read any ship, healthy or toxic.

That’s all I could summarize it as! Basically hurt/comfort, whump, and character fear, unless some fluff, comedy, or crack sticks out. Hopefully that narrows something down? I feel like that covers too many bases XD

Blank Canvas - Lucifer's creativity when it comes to torture knows no bounds, and he yet again comes up with some new way to torment Sam. Even within the Cage Sam is reminded of what he truly is.

Pins and Needles - Since Sam stopped ignoring his hallucinations of Lucifer they've been getting increasingly worse, and he just wants it all to end. (Okay, summary doesn't really match the fic here, but this was for a Sammy's birthday prompt fill, and Lucifer just has a lot of fun with needles while Sam's on a bathroom floor.)

Sunder - After Sam gets mugged Dean sees it as his responsibility to get revenge. (Takes place during season 10.) (This one is definitely a character study.)

How to Get Rid of Nightmares - Dean has been getting nightmares since he got the Mark removed and the Darkness was unleashed. His unhealthy way of dealing with them leads Sam to summon a Baku, a spirit that devours nightmares, in order to help his brother. When the spirit turns Rogue, not only is Dean's life at stake, but his soul as well. (One of my first longfics.)

The Cave - Lucifer brings Sam back to life after he's killed by vampires in Apocalypse World and he forces him to make an impossible choice. (Bit of a rewrite of the scene in 13x21 "Beat the Devil" where Lucifer brings Sam back based on the original blocking to the opening of the scene.)

"Dean" - Lucifer uses his powers to make Sam think Dean is the one hurting him in the Cage. (I don't know where this one came from, but go nuts.)

Blood - Sam and Dean are investigating a vampire case, and for Sam it strikes a little too close to home. (First attempt at a script fic, so it's a bit of a mess, but I think it's a good Sam character study with decent gore and whump.)

A Rose by Any Other Name - Having the ability to manipulate the Cage to his will, Lucifer makes it look like he and Sam are in a rose garden. In this new setting, Sam undergoes unimaginable torture that makes him rethink who he really is. (READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.)

I'm Sorry - Now that Sam's back with Lucifer again the Devil tries everything he can to get him to say yes. (I think I wrote this one while manic. Enjoy.)

Nightmares - With Jack staying in the bunker now, Sam's finding it difficult to sleep.

Sam - Sam is captured by a Satanic cult, and without Dean to help him, he has to find his own way to get out. (This is all about the Sammy.)

Keep On Fighting - Sam's hallucinations find an ironic way to torture him, and he can't seem to find a way to stop them on his own. (Lots of fun gore. Thanks, Teen Wolf, for teaching me about trepanation.)

The Price of Dean - John takes off, leaving Dean without money as a way to punish him for an argument they had, and after running out of options, Dean realizes he has to do something dire if he wants to feed his brother. (Readers love this one.)

Take Me to Church - When Sam grabs onto Jack as Lucifer teleports them to a church, Lucifer decides to do more than give up lying. He wants to show Jack up close why Team Free Will hates him, why Sam is so afraid. (Takes place during the season 13 finale.)

Take Me Home -After Lucifer's death and Dean being taken over by Michael, Sam and Jack are left in the abandoned church all alone. With their injuries they're going to have to figure out a way to survive, and pray that Castiel will make it to them in time. (Oh, look, the sequel to the one above!)

Bleeding Reality - Two are dead in the quiet town of Windom, Minnesota, and with no obvious cause of death, Sam and Dean decide to investigate. A new monster has them digging into uncharted territory, where the dangers are those they can't recognize. They're drawn in deep, and for Sam, there are dire consequences. (Bit of a novella, lots of gore, lots of fucked up stuff.)

Deathless - While sorting through the artifacts kept by the Men of Letters, Sam happens across a mysterious and powerful amulet. As he is pushed into using its dark powers he is forced to face his traumatizing past and forge the way into a possibly more terrifying future. (One of my longest and most popular fics filled with whump, angst, and character studies. Don't read the sequel yet as I was working on a rewrite.)

A Knight of Hell - Abaddon's journey to become a Knight of Hell. (Dark and fun.)

The Hole - Hunters capture Jack, and they decide to bury him alive.

Where It All Started - Something visits Sam in a nightmare, leaving very clear instructions about what he's supposed to do, threatening to kill Jack if he doesn't comply. Sam listens to it, unable to do anything else. (Definitely on my darkest fics list.)

Where It Is - Sam gets back home after his meeting with Lucifer, and he has to follow his demands. Dean and Castiel have found Sam's note. (Sequel to above fic.)

Where It Will End - The end is here, as Lucifer promised. (Final piece of this tiny series.)

Infection - Sam gets raped by demons on a hunt, and he realizes he has to get tested for STIs.

The Sins of Heaven - After running away from home, Jack is kidnapped by angels who want to use him to repopulate Heaven's dying forces. (Another one of my most popular and longfics ever. Angst, whump, gore, messed up dark shit. I think I've read it at least five times.)

Splintered - Sam finishes up a normal day at school when everyone suddenly vanishes. And as if things couldn’t get any stranger, a man appears and takes him away. The journey that follows leads to places new and old, and self-realization with dire consequences. (This is actually in a Sam anthology! It was so fun to write.)

Eyeliner and Cigarettes - After the vampire hunt where Dean found the man wearing makeup, he's been curious, and now he wants to give wearing makeup a try. Dean doesn't really know what he's doing, but he's on a tough case and knows he could use something to de-stress. That seems to go sideways when Castiel shows up and drags him into more violence.

Death by a Thousand Cuts -Castiel makes a deal with Crowley to keep the demon king off the Winchesters' backs, but it lands him in trouble with their Purgatory deal and his position in the civil war in Heaven. TAKES PLACE DURING SEASON 6. (Lots of Castiel torture time, and angsty Destiel. Does have a continuity error in it, but it's too late to fix it.)

Adrenaline - Dean is captured and used for an underground demonic fighting ring.

Robo Fizz x DID!Reader Headcanons

DID stands for Dissociative Identity Disorder

Warnings:  Tooth rotting fluff lol

●  I headcanon DID takes on a unique form in Hell, in which it causes the one suffering with it to fully shapeshift when a different personality is fronting, and for little signs to show up, like eye color changing, when someone is co-fronting.

●  He typically misses your minor tells for co-fronts because his focus often wanders. XD

●  When he first notices the minor changes in your appearance for a co-front, he assumes it’s part of your abilities or normal demon appearance that you developed when you manifested in Hell.

●  If your personality alters a bit during a co-front, he’ll assume the physical changes are based on your emotions.

●  When you fully shapeshift when an alter fully takes over and act completely differently, his attention is now fully on you.

●  Demons all have fully demonic forms, yes, but he could tell this was different. For starters, you looked completely different from your normal form, and demonic transformations still looked close to the normal form.

●  When your alter gives him a different name, he gets confused and worried. What happened to you? What was wrong? Who was this? What was this? Where were you?

●  If you change more with another alter switching out, his worry will only continue to grow.

●  One of them, probably a protector or soother, will get him to calm down a bit by assuring you’re okay.

●  He’ll be a bit skeptical, but will listen nevertheless. He can tell they have a connection to you because he noticed traits you had from them when they were co-front. He knows the body is still yours too.

●  Your alters may try to explain, but he won’t listen as far as that goes. They may have your body, but they’re not you, in fact they’re completely different. So he waits for you to come back for an explanation.

●  When you finally return, he bombards you with questions.

●  He hugs you and tells you he was worried. You get him to calm down and once he has, you begin to explain.

●  He has trouble understanding at first. He’s a robot who was built in Hell. Mental illness and disorders is a foreign concept to him.

●  You have to really simplify things for him to understand.

●  “I went through really bad stuff as a kid, so now I have different people in my head and I don’t know what happens when they're here and I’m not.”

●  He slowly starts to understand. But even though he’s a robot, he’s still an individual so it’s quite a bit to process. You settle for explaining more and more to him over multiple days so that he could properly process everything you were telling him.

●  He eventually gets the basic gist of it and is able to process it for the most part, especially if you keep explaining it to him.

●  He starts to ask questions about your alters. Who are they? What are they like? Should he watch out for anything? Things of that nature.

●  He’s fascinated by it all. He learns to see it in a way like there's more people to love. And he will love each and every one of them.

●  Probably only hesitant on persecutors since they cause harm to you and possibly the others.

●  Finds unique ways to tease each of your alters differently.

●  Goes out of his way to learn about each alter from them personally so he can deal with them more appropriately.

●  Always asks how they’re doing.

●  He’s great with any littles you have. After all, his job is as a child entertainer. Will play with them, love on them, hug them, sing them to sleep, and more.

●  Loves playing with any animals you might have.

●  Got a prankster? Oh boy, Satan help you…

●  Still constantly demands attention from all of them like he does with you.

●  Loves that he gets different kinds of hugs and cuddles from each of them.

●  All your alters love him. Or, at least, most do.

●  Sees them all as an adventure. He gets a different experience with each of them.

●  Gives you a necklace with his face as a pendant. You wear it as a reminder to him that, no matter who is fronting, you all love and belong to him.

●  He will always love you and your alters. Very, very much. No matter what.

A Friend in Need

((Hello, it’s me again! I have one more fic for now. It’s more of a fluffy fic with an ambiguous ending. Hopefully the format isn’t changed too much 😅 and thank you everyone who’s been showing so much love for my writing!! Enjoy!))

Being friends with a predator wasn’t as terrifying as many borrowers made it out to be. But then again, it might depend on the type of predator.

Jack wasn’t like the stereotypical predators that you’d learned about at a young age, the ones that gobbled up borrowers with no thought to how they felt. Jack made sure to only eat borrowers as a last resort, and even then, if he could find a way to keep them from meeting their fate inside his belly, he would. Often times, however, his predator instincts would be unbearable, and he had to compromise, lest he lose control and hurt someone on accident. But still, you stuck around. You should’ve just snuck away, as you had been planning to, but something about Jack kept you there. He was kind, fun to be around, and loved all people with his whole heart. Besides, he had rescued you from the snow when you were first discovered, holding you close to his chest and nearby a toasty fire to keep you from getting hypothermia. You owed him your life, practically. The predator’s home was surprisingly open to other borrowers. You’d seen others come and go, some relieved by the predator’s kindness, some too weary of him to stay too long. A few, however, had actually been violent, trying to force you out of your home to claim as their own, but Jack always intervened. He made sure to punish those territorial borrowers by letting his instincts take the wheel, the cruelest ones disappearing down his gullet and never coming back out. In that way, he showed just how fond he was of you, always pampering you and taking care of you when you were sick or hurt, and snuggling against you as he purred warmly. Now it was autumn, almost a year since you’d been saved by him, and you could tell. Visits from other borrowers became rare, with few only staying to warm up. Some winters caused borrowers to flood the outside world until they found suitable shelter, but other winters were scarce of them. It was a quieter winter, where the borrowers had nice little homes and were warmed and well fed in their new homes. But that relief for borrowers seemed to be an ordeal for predators. You witnessed the toll of winter firsthand, watching as Jack became more lethargic, his weight slowly but surely diminishing. Had he lived closer to the city, he probably would’ve been fine living off of what he could buy, but his home was in the forest, where borrowers dwelled away from humans, but also where he could record his videos in peace. He was walking a fine line between his common sense and his survival instincts, one that you couldn’t help but shudder at. He was silently suffering, and you couldn’t help but feel guilty. Suddenly, you thought back to how he had helped you, how you had wanted to pay him back. Maybe you could pay him back now. - - - You squeaked as you stood at the foot of Jack’s bed, catching the predator’s attention instantly. For a split second, you could see the instincts kick in, but once he realized it was you, he calmed himself down, watching as you climbed the bed frame and strolled up to him and climbed his gigantic body. He greeted you with a deep purr, rubbing the top of your head with his thumb.  His stomach rumbled loudly underneath your feet, begging for at least a little bit of food. Jack flinched in pain, chuckling shyly as he shifted in an attempt to keep the hunger at bay. He apologized awkwardly, trying to play off his hunger; but you knew better. You thanked him for saving your life all those months ago, and told him how you’d been looking for a way to pay him back. When you told him your plan—you wanted him to eat you as a way to keep him satisfied—he was visibly shocked, quick to wave away such an absurd idea, and he insisted that he couldn’t possibly do such a thing to you. But you wouldn’t accept defeat; you wanted to help him, and you couldn’t bare to see him quietly starving. He still refused, about to speak up before another loud growl from his belly interrupted him. It seemed like he didn’t have much of a choice, and he accepted your offer. You’d seen how he ate borrowers before, so you knew what to expect. He carefully lifted you to his face, opening his mouth and letting you climb in. You felt his sharp fangs, which were meant to tear into flesh, against your back, but they did no harm. Jack closed his mouth gently, his cheeks puffing out slightly with how you filled his entire mouth, and he carefully moved his tongue, tasting you. His heavy purr made you giggle, and you made yourself as flat and straight as possible.

Glp.

The sound as you were pulled into his throat was surprising, but you didn’t flinch. The walls of his throat gently cradled your form, pushing you deeper with each swallow. Soon enough you were being pushed down, deeper into the predator’s body, until an opening appeared in front of you. You carefully slid into the awaiting stomach, careful not to hurt yourself or Jack as you entered in. The walls stretched as more of your body fell into his belly, leaving a decent bulge in Jack’s middle as you curled up. Jack was still purring, but much louder this time, as he gently pressed his hand against his belly in satisfaction. It’d been forever since he’d felt full, feeling the borrower shifting inside his stomach was something he secretly enjoyed, and it catered to the predatory side of him. He burped suddenly, causing you to laugh cheekily, and Jack laughed in embarrassment. Perhaps he was a little too full, actually.  Inside, the walls of his stomach held you, gurgling and growling in fullness at your form. You stretched out your hands and massaged the flesh around you, the predator responding with happy giggles. The massaging sensation only served to make him feel more full, it seemed. Only a few seconds later, Jack fell asleep, his hand resting atop his rounded stomach and occasionally rubbing at your form. The warmth and darkness of his insides made you feel sleepy. A voice in the back of your head wondered if he’d let you out, but that didn’t matter at the moment. You had intended to be a meal for a friend in need, and you were content with that thought. As you closed your eyes, the sounds of Jack’s belly and slowed heartbeat lulled you to a blissful sleep.

Ahhh anon, that was lovely! You're running me dry of unique compliments, because this was so good too XD Jack to me is a very versatile character in pred-prey situations, he plays both roles well; him as a predator can make for interesting fearplay and doubt— or delicious tooth-rotting fluff (and yes, whenever I say fearplay any time on this blog, I mean the platonic kind that's "experimenting with fear to invoke feeling within the reader", aka. basically angsty-fluff). I like that you went ambiguous so parties of both safe and unsafe could imagine their own ending or possible demise, but at the same time I am once again eager to see more of this universe, haha.

i feel like i’ve improved and i’m really proud of the story (thorns) i’ve created. i never in a million years thought people would actually enjoy it, but it’s literally the reason for my current follower count lol. my previous works could definitely use a touch up and i’ll end up doing it sooner or later............

Favorite trope to write?

I was about to say hurt/comfort, but that’s a genre, whoops. I think the Morality Pet and variants might be it - this is also part of why writing moirallegiance is so appealing to me. Essentially, someone dangerous as hell and generally willing to fuck things up, has someone kinder/gentler whom they listen to and for whose sake they’ll stop destroying things. I don’t often play it to the max or very obviously, but looking back at my fics there’s definitely elements of that in a lot of them.

Ever use a notebook and pen?

My first-ever fanfic was written in a notebook with looseleaf pages jammed inside after the notebook got full. I have no idea where it ended up, and I’m kind of sad about that because while it was a laughably bad fic (I mean I was like 13 and it was my first-ever fanfic, of course it’s laughably bad), I’m really proud of it and also curious to read it again and see how far I’ve come as a writer. 

I did try recently to use a notebook and pen during my commute, because I have no cell reception for like 2/3 of it and figured longhanding a fic would be a good use for all those notebooks I keep getting in swag bags. But it turns out I don’t write in a way that works well for pen and paper - I change up things a lot as I’m writing, which you can’t do easily on paper. So I ended up going back to writing on my phone and just dealing with the bad reception.

Pinterest boards or playlists?

Actually, no. (I’m an internet fogey and am still unclear on what, exactly, a “pinterest board” is, lol) I’ll sometimes listen to certain music when I write, but it’s more for the atmosphere - so if I’m working on the Ignis fic, I’ll listen to the FFXV soundtrack, or if I’m working on a Supernatural fic, I’ll pull up my Amnesia: TDD OST or the Submachine OST. (I listen to a lot of soundtracks...) I do occasionally write a specific scene to a specific song, like I did with the Lucifer reveal and Archangel in Cross Cases, but that’s rare. I do have songs for characters(Rammstein’s Engel for Dean Winchester, Sirenia’s Lithium and a Lover for Sam Winchester, Florence and the Machine’s No Light, No Light for Noctis Lucis Caelum), but those are entirely independent of fics. 

Headcanons I won’t give up despite fandom?

Aro/ace Noctis. Insomnia has a sort of local intranet, but “the internet” as we think of it doesn’t exist on Eos. Not sure if it counts as a headcanon since it’s proven in canon, but MTs are not humans in armor and all those MT!Prompto fics are woefully inaccurate. 

Favorite characters to write? 

Ooh, this is a hard one. MCU Loki, for sure, and Tony Stark. Sephiroth, for all that I’ve written one chapter of one fic with him in it. Gerald Tarrant is fun but difficult as hell. I love writing the chocobros as a unit - in the Ignis fic, the first time I finally had all four of them in the scene it felt like a dislocated joint coming back into place. 

Favorite story?

That’s like asking me to pick a favorite child!!! XD Honestly, though, I think J'entre dans la légende is still my favorite, even all these years and all these other fics later. Things just kinda came together in that fic in a way I’ve never had happen since, and I’m still absurdly proud of the twists and turns and emotional reactions of my readers. 

Scariest thing about writing?

Having people mock me. There’s a lot of tooth-rotting platonic fluff I’d love to write, but I don’t because it’s like... pure cuddlefluff, which is an ace thing that doesn’t tend to go over well in fandoms where usually if two characters are cuddling, there’d better be sex soon. :/ So I don’t write it, just to avoid having to deal with the backlash from that.

Best thing about writing?

Making people feel emotions! I love seeing people’s reactions to my fics, seeing them get mad at the villain or be afraid for the hero or cry at an emotional scene or laugh at something funny. It’s by far the most rewarding part of writing - connecting with others like that, giving them an emotional experience.

1. If you had to change the pairing’s very first meeting, how would you change it?

I mean, their veeeery first meeting was when they were 6 and 8 and more than likely resulted in Yusaku’s kidnapping, so like, maybe have all that without the kidnapping and trauma.

2. What song fits your pairing the most?

I’m always bad at these kinds of questions unless I’ve like, definitively nailed down a song. 

Can’t Help Falling in Love With You tho, feels kinda fitting. So we’ll go with that.

5. Favorite canon moment of them?

Idk but I really liked the scene when we saw them meeting as tiny kiddos. That was adorable. Tiny babs. So innocent and pure.

9. Favorite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics?

I like that for all his ‘we’re enemies’ ‘I regret saving you’ ‘I’m not a good person’ that Ryoken puts forward to Yusaku, that he still turns around and is like ‘btw here’s a thing to keep you safe. also I’m glad your irl support system is safe as well’ like. Are you SURE you don’t care Ryoken? Are you really? Cause uh, some of your actions suggest otherwise (and for reasons more than just ‘I want to be able to settle this later’).

Ryoken does care to some extent he just, is to wrapped up in everything else-his pain and grief for one thing- to admit it.

11. If they aren’t a canon pairing, how would you get them together?

I mean, post canon once everything’s cooled down and they’re not trying to fight each other anymore and work all their issues out.

Hgnnnn, it’s a toss up between fluff and angst tbh. I love mushy, tooth rotting fluff. But oh boy, I torment them (Yusaku esp) a hell of a lot in my writing so. Yeah fluff and angst it is.

Thoughts and Preferences on V/ore

Zharin here, don’t mind me resuscitating an old ask about vore preferences to sneakily introduce myself a little bit more to you guys >^>

So I’ve been around vore my entire life, but it was only recently I found not only wonderful peeps to call friends, but also an accepting little group in which I could not only feel not alone but part of an incredible community. Having this fascination had always made me feel alienated, so you can imagine just how honoured I was to get invited to join this blog. :)

And yes, Zharin is a pseudonym, but it’s a cool name too so it’s sticking around ;P With that said though, let us commence my eighteen+ years of vore experience into a severely shortened list for sanity’s sake:

I am 100% all for soft vore. I cannot do hard vore at all, IMO it goes too far-- and all it does is make me gag

Oral vore. Just… Don’t ask me for other orifices please No after-dealings either, ie. scat.

Male predators only; female preds always get taken way too far and oversexualized, and just… yuck. There hasn’t been but two or three creations that I’ve stumbled across where the female gender doesn’t get abused or teased. (In other words, I’m against sexual vore and very much so aboard the feelz train)

The majority of the time I’m all about safe vore and cuddles, though I occasionally get in a mood for helpless prey; in my mind, they sort of “reform” one way or another, even if “off camera,” so digestion isn’t a problem for me. (Basically my brain doesn’t register permadeaths within vorefics, probably due to overexposure XD)

I’m not a huge fan of same-size vore. Giant/tiny (Edit: Not micro/macro with the extreme microscopic proportions, my mistake) however, is delightful, but half-size is the perfect sweet spot.  Any size differences is a green light. (Edit: But again not extreme or where the prey is smaller than a pinky finger, sorry for not clarifying!)

I don’t really do anthropomorphic characters, usually humans, hybrids, or just actual animals (circle of life lol)

70% of the time I’d say I’m in a safe mood, which will typically involve angst and tooth-rotting amounts of fluff X3  With unsafe, it’s a matter of focusing on the fear factor, rather than the process itself. (Edit: Though I’m a huge sucker for fearplay all around-- and when I say fearplay, I don’t mean sexually, I mean exposing the character(s) with factors of fear to coalign with plot or care for said characters.)

When it comes to safe, what matters at the end of the day to me is the predator protecting the prey with their very body. Their entire being, in that one moment, is a temple of sorts dedicated to that life inside, to keeping them warm and safely isolated from the dangers of the world, sealing them away in their very cores so that the prey may, at the very least, feel or sleep peacefully. Carrying around the prey while being acutely aware of everything going on inside is heartwarming, especially if the pred nods off with that irresistible sensation of a warm and full belly; additionally, youth prey should be some of the softest stuff you ever come across. Having any powerful and easily overwhelming pred soften up to weaker or younger prey is just so precious, and watching as they interact so gently despite gargantuan scales of lethality or height is just pleasing. Unsafe vore, as I mentioned before, focuses more on experiencing the fears and ultimate helplessness of the prey, with the contrast of a contently satisfied pred.

Having been exposed to a great deal of variations of vore throughout my life, I have quite a broad spectrum for the feels of preds and prey. It all depends on the depicted scenario, what they would be or should be feeling, as well as my mood whilst writing the vorefic. One day I’ll favor an absolutely soft and timid pred, the next be craving a cocky and voracious nommer. Same with prey, as well as scale of size difference, etc... it’s all just a bunch of finite things I can’t quite put into words. For so long, this has all had to be unconsciously registered instead of getting to voice these things, so it’s quite curious to see the words before me now. While I may have had to undergo these things by myself, I do know that everyone has their own preferences and opinions on the specifics of vore, so you do you, and don’t be ashamed of it.

2018 Fic In Review

looking back, did you expect to write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected? If I’m taking into account the fics that are still WIPs, I’d say I accomplished more. Honestly, I never start my years with high expectations, so yeah. XD

what’s your own favorite story of the year? Uh, good question. I guess it would be either You Make My Heart Beat or Gotta Get Back In Time.

did you take any writing risks this year? With Gotta Get Back In Time I wrote in present tense. An interesting thing to try for me (who always does past tense) but I don’t think I’ll do it again for fanfic. It messed me up so badly.

do you have any fanfic or profit goals for the new year? I’d like to get this one fic I’m working on out there on AO3. It’s going to be a very long one, and likely a series, but it kind of depends on the fandom’s reaction to it (it’s a TWD fic, btw)

best story of the year? Idk how to choose this, but I’m pretty happy with You Make My Heart Beat so far?

most popular story of the year? Gotta Get Back In Time seems to be the most popular :)

story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: That’s a hard one. Uh, maybe Sweetest Devotion? Or You’re My End and My Beginning. 

most fun story to write: Wishing On A Star by far has been, but mostly because it’s kind of crack-y and also based on another story so it’s pretty easy to write, lol. But I’ve been having fun with it, and was happily surprised people are enjoying it, considering.

story with the single sexiest moment: Ohhh….Probably A Bond Eternal. Horny vampire mating certainly made it very steamy ;)

sweetest story: You’re My End and My Beginning for sure! I mean, it’s a wedding fic for Gobblepot, so how could it not be tooth rotting sweetness and fluff?

“holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you!” story: Eh, I don’t tend to go really off the rails enough to cause this kind of reaction. There was one fic I’d started that might have gone there, but I scrapped it so… Yeah.

story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters & most unintentionally telling story: Again, I don’t really think I did this. Maybe the closest would be with You Make My Heart Beat ? Perhaps when it’s finished, idk though.

hardest story to write: I guess it depends on how this is meant. In terms of I’m struggling to finish it because my brain wants to focus on other things? Then it’d be A Bond Eternal. In terms of amount of research and planning? Well, the fic isn’t out yet, so I can’t say. I mean, I did a lot of planning for You’re My End and My Beginning, but it wasn’t exactly hard.

biggest disappointment: I guess mostly just how long it takes me to write and update chapters once I get past a certain point. Like, anything past chapter 7 is going to take me a few weeks to complete. Sometimes chapter 4 if I’m doing really badly. I just tend to focus on so many different things at once that I kind of lose track and then it takes some time to remember where I was going with my writing. Oops.

biggest surprise: How well my fics have been accepted by the Rickyl/TWD fandom. I was worried people would hate them or ignore them completely, so I was really happy that I’ve got some fans of my fics. ^_^
