Finally made a proper cover for Grueling and bitter work (my fic) (Heavenscoin🥺) because what else would I be doing with my spare time? I honestly prefer this one than with the title cause I feel like I screwed up with the layout :'))

So in terms of fics I like, I had to go back to my faves list to see if there is a pattern somewhere. Apparently there is lol, and it can be summarized into hurt/comfort and whump lol.

On a more detailed note, I like a lot of character exploration, particularly with fear (or lack of thereof). Like stories where a character doesn’t feel like they’re good enough but chooses to try and push on. Or where a character has nothing to lose and they don’t realize they’re walking a dangerous line they won’t come back from if they make a choice.

In terms of physical aspects, horror elements tend to be a fave. Body horror, monster horror, irrational creepiness, the whole nine yards. Psychological horror could go here too maybe?

That all being said I love a good tooth rotting fluff fic if there’s any that stand out for you. Comedy and crack are also fun. As for ships, I don’t have much ship preference so I’ll read any ship, healthy or toxic.

That’s all I could summarize it as! Basically hurt/comfort, whump, and character fear, unless some fluff, comedy, or crack sticks out. Hopefully that narrows something down? I feel like that covers too many bases XD

Blank Canvas - Lucifer's creativity when it comes to torture knows no bounds, and he yet again comes up with some new way to torment Sam. Even within the Cage Sam is reminded of what he truly is.

Pins and Needles - Since Sam stopped ignoring his hallucinations of Lucifer they've been getting increasingly worse, and he just wants it all to end. (Okay, summary doesn't really match the fic here, but this was for a Sammy's birthday prompt fill, and Lucifer just has a lot of fun with needles while Sam's on a bathroom floor.)

Sunder - After Sam gets mugged Dean sees it as his responsibility to get revenge. (Takes place during season 10.) (This one is definitely a character study.)

How to Get Rid of Nightmares - Dean has been getting nightmares since he got the Mark removed and the Darkness was unleashed. His unhealthy way of dealing with them leads Sam to summon a Baku, a spirit that devours nightmares, in order to help his brother. When the spirit turns Rogue, not only is Dean's life at stake, but his soul as well. (One of my first longfics.)

The Cave - Lucifer brings Sam back to life after he's killed by vampires in Apocalypse World and he forces him to make an impossible choice. (Bit of a rewrite of the scene in 13x21 "Beat the Devil" where Lucifer brings Sam back based on the original blocking to the opening of the scene.)

"Dean" - Lucifer uses his powers to make Sam think Dean is the one hurting him in the Cage. (I don't know where this one came from, but go nuts.)

Blood - Sam and Dean are investigating a vampire case, and for Sam it strikes a little too close to home. (First attempt at a script fic, so it's a bit of a mess, but I think it's a good Sam character study with decent gore and whump.)

A Rose by Any Other Name - Having the ability to manipulate the Cage to his will, Lucifer makes it look like he and Sam are in a rose garden. In this new setting, Sam undergoes unimaginable torture that makes him rethink who he really is. (READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.)

I'm Sorry - Now that Sam's back with Lucifer again the Devil tries everything he can to get him to say yes. (I think I wrote this one while manic. Enjoy.)

Nightmares - With Jack staying in the bunker now, Sam's finding it difficult to sleep.

Sam - Sam is captured by a Satanic cult, and without Dean to help him, he has to find his own way to get out. (This is all about the Sammy.)

Keep On Fighting - Sam's hallucinations find an ironic way to torture him, and he can't seem to find a way to stop them on his own. (Lots of fun gore. Thanks, Teen Wolf, for teaching me about trepanation.)

The Price of Dean - John takes off, leaving Dean without money as a way to punish him for an argument they had, and after running out of options, Dean realizes he has to do something dire if he wants to feed his brother. (Readers love this one.)

Take Me to Church - When Sam grabs onto Jack as Lucifer teleports them to a church, Lucifer decides to do more than give up lying. He wants to show Jack up close why Team Free Will hates him, why Sam is so afraid. (Takes place during the season 13 finale.)

Take Me Home -After Lucifer's death and Dean being taken over by Michael, Sam and Jack are left in the abandoned church all alone. With their injuries they're going to have to figure out a way to survive, and pray that Castiel will make it to them in time. (Oh, look, the sequel to the one above!)

Bleeding Reality - Two are dead in the quiet town of Windom, Minnesota, and with no obvious cause of death, Sam and Dean decide to investigate. A new monster has them digging into uncharted territory, where the dangers are those they can't recognize. They're drawn in deep, and for Sam, there are dire consequences. (Bit of a novella, lots of gore, lots of fucked up stuff.)

Deathless - While sorting through the artifacts kept by the Men of Letters, Sam happens across a mysterious and powerful amulet. As he is pushed into using its dark powers he is forced to face his traumatizing past and forge the way into a possibly more terrifying future. (One of my longest and most popular fics filled with whump, angst, and character studies. Don't read the sequel yet as I was working on a rewrite.)

A Knight of Hell - Abaddon's journey to become a Knight of Hell. (Dark and fun.)

The Hole - Hunters capture Jack, and they decide to bury him alive.

Where It All Started - Something visits Sam in a nightmare, leaving very clear instructions about what he's supposed to do, threatening to kill Jack if he doesn't comply. Sam listens to it, unable to do anything else. (Definitely on my darkest fics list.)

Where It Is - Sam gets back home after his meeting with Lucifer, and he has to follow his demands. Dean and Castiel have found Sam's note. (Sequel to above fic.)

Where It Will End - The end is here, as Lucifer promised. (Final piece of this tiny series.)

Infection - Sam gets raped by demons on a hunt, and he realizes he has to get tested for STIs.

The Sins of Heaven - After running away from home, Jack is kidnapped by angels who want to use him to repopulate Heaven's dying forces. (Another one of my most popular and longfics ever. Angst, whump, gore, messed up dark shit. I think I've read it at least five times.)

Splintered - Sam finishes up a normal day at school when everyone suddenly vanishes. And as if things couldn’t get any stranger, a man appears and takes him away. The journey that follows leads to places new and old, and self-realization with dire consequences. (This is actually in a Sam anthology! It was so fun to write.)

Eyeliner and Cigarettes - After the vampire hunt where Dean found the man wearing makeup, he's been curious, and now he wants to give wearing makeup a try. Dean doesn't really know what he's doing, but he's on a tough case and knows he could use something to de-stress. That seems to go sideways when Castiel shows up and drags him into more violence.

Death by a Thousand Cuts -Castiel makes a deal with Crowley to keep the demon king off the Winchesters' backs, but it lands him in trouble with their Purgatory deal and his position in the civil war in Heaven. TAKES PLACE DURING SEASON 6. (Lots of Castiel torture time, and angsty Destiel. Does have a continuity error in it, but it's too late to fix it.)

Adrenaline - Dean is captured and used for an underground demonic fighting ring.

Robo Fizz x DID!Reader Headcanons

DID stands for Dissociative Identity Disorder

Warnings:  Tooth rotting fluff lol

●  I headcanon DID takes on a unique form in Hell, in which it causes the one suffering with it to fully shapeshift when a different personality is fronting, and for little signs to show up, like eye color changing, when someone is co-fronting.

●  He typically misses your minor tells for co-fronts because his focus often wanders. XD

●  When he first notices the minor changes in your appearance for a co-front, he assumes it’s part of your abilities or normal demon appearance that you developed when you manifested in Hell.

●  If your personality alters a bit during a co-front, he’ll assume the physical changes are based on your emotions.

●  When you fully shapeshift when an alter fully takes over and act completely differently, his attention is now fully on you.

●  Demons all have fully demonic forms, yes, but he could tell this was different. For starters, you looked completely different from your normal form, and demonic transformations still looked close to the normal form.

●  When your alter gives him a different name, he gets confused and worried. What happened to you? What was wrong? Who was this? What was this? Where were you?

●  If you change more with another alter switching out, his worry will only continue to grow.

●  One of them, probably a protector or soother, will get him to calm down a bit by assuring you’re okay.

●  He’ll be a bit skeptical, but will listen nevertheless. He can tell they have a connection to you because he noticed traits you had from them when they were co-front. He knows the body is still yours too.

●  Your alters may try to explain, but he won’t listen as far as that goes. They may have your body, but they’re not you, in fact they’re completely different. So he waits for you to come back for an explanation.

●  When you finally return, he bombards you with questions.

●  He hugs you and tells you he was worried. You get him to calm down and once he has, you begin to explain.

●  He has trouble understanding at first. He’s a robot who was built in Hell. Mental illness and disorders is a foreign concept to him.

●  You have to really simplify things for him to understand.

●  “I went through really bad stuff as a kid, so now I have different people in my head and I don’t know what happens when they're here and I’m not.”

●  He slowly starts to understand. But even though he’s a robot, he’s still an individual so it’s quite a bit to process. You settle for explaining more and more to him over multiple days so that he could properly process everything you were telling him.

●  He eventually gets the basic gist of it and is able to process it for the most part, especially if you keep explaining it to him.

●  He starts to ask questions about your alters. Who are they? What are they like? Should he watch out for anything? Things of that nature.

●  He’s fascinated by it all. He learns to see it in a way like there's more people to love. And he will love each and every one of them.

●  Probably only hesitant on persecutors since they cause harm to you and possibly the others.

●  Finds unique ways to tease each of your alters differently.

●  Goes out of his way to learn about each alter from them personally so he can deal with them more appropriately.

●  Always asks how they’re doing.

●  He’s great with any littles you have. After all, his job is as a child entertainer. Will play with them, love on them, hug them, sing them to sleep, and more.

●  Loves playing with any animals you might have.

●  Got a prankster? Oh boy, Satan help you…

●  Still constantly demands attention from all of them like he does with you.

●  Loves that he gets different kinds of hugs and cuddles from each of them.

●  All your alters love him. Or, at least, most do.

●  Sees them all as an adventure. He gets a different experience with each of them.

●  Gives you a necklace with his face as a pendant. You wear it as a reminder to him that, no matter who is fronting, you all love and belong to him.

●  He will always love you and your alters. Very, very much. No matter what.

I mean, their veeeery first meeting was when they were 6 and 8 and more than likely resulted in Yusaku’s kidnapping, so like, maybe have all that without the kidnapping and trauma.

I’m always bad at these kinds of questions unless I’ve like, definitively nailed down a song. 

Can’t Help Falling in Love With You tho, feels kinda fitting. So we’ll go with that.

5. Favorite canon moment of them?

Idk but I really liked the scene when we saw them meeting as tiny kiddos. That was adorable. Tiny babs. So innocent and pure.

9. Favorite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics?

I like that for all his ‘we’re enemies’ ‘I regret saving you’ ‘I’m not a good person’ that Ryoken puts forward to Yusaku, that he still turns around and is like ‘btw here’s a thing to keep you safe. also I’m glad your irl support system is safe as well’ like. Are you SURE you don’t care Ryoken? Are you really? Cause uh, some of your actions suggest otherwise (and for reasons more than just ‘I want to be able to settle this later’).

Ryoken does care to some extent he just, is to wrapped up in everything else-his pain and grief for one thing- to admit it.

11. If they aren’t a canon pairing, how would you get them together?

I mean, post canon once everything’s cooled down and they’re not trying to fight each other anymore and work all their issues out.

That surely makes things easier! Haha. Hmmmm I mean I like to say I'm very OT7 but yeah Taegi are my super soft spots lol. My biases before being OT7 so I can't get rid of the bias haha. Describe them in one sentence each? I'd say Yoongi is a quiet carer and listener who chooses his words carefully and meaningfully. I think of Tae as an openly loving person who balances a mature intelligence and child like wonder.

I have always been terrible with date ideas haha. So honestly, I have no clue on that front XD but I'm also not very picky about that kind of thing!

I'm glad someone appreciates me enjoying major drama and fucked up shit lol! Like, without conflict you can have an enjoyable story for sure. But not always an engaging one. I love tooth rotting fluff, no hurt, sunshine and rainbow one shots! But those are really slice of life or more like a single scene. A longer story needs a mess, and when it's a complicated but understandable mess *chef kiss*. Like the clones are left as slaves while the jedi go between worshipped heroes and treated like villains, but I love that when you sit with clones and jedi you see them as real people instead who care about one another. They don't buy into the bullshit, but they don't have the means turn the situation around either, that's the whole tragedy of the Jedi Order is how they really can't win. Every choice they make will make things worse in the end, and that's not their fault. Make it sloppy but leave a trail to follow and I will love it (and probably suffer through people who take everything in the show at face value)

I will say the shipping bullshit has gotten better. My god, end of season 3 was a Rough Time to be in the fandom. The absolute batshit things that happened while S4 and S5 came out was insane. I ended up not posting several fics I had just finished or nearly finished for several ships because of how that all shook out, because i didn't want nor need people's anger focused on me like that.

These days it's way more chill, even if not totally relaxed. So when I saw Super Poly Trio asks I was just excited to talk about one of my top favorite ships in the show lol. I've had the seeds of a SPT canon divergent AU kicking around in my head where Hordak is more swayed to not banish Catra anywhere at all preventing a lot of things from happening, but so far it's been mostly "Hey boy, listen boy, It's me, the voice of new wips in your head. Leave your other wip, you don't need her, you need me!"

Yeah, I hear you. I can't just be loud and proud about some of the ships I enjoy anymore, no matter how popular or common they once were. Like, they're not all my favorite ships of all time, but I like them still!

I think a lot about when I was in the ST:VOY fandom and how I ended up on a forum for B'Elanna/Seven specifically (I think they're still kicking around actually just somewhere else now) to enjoy that ship without a lot of people trying to get in my face about other ships canon or otherwise. And one of the things there that at first I liked, but then changed my mind on was the intense hatred for Tom and Chakotay they had. But when I eventually wrote a fic where I gave Tom and Chakotay a really fair shake I got comments about how it was refreshing to see that and how it helped some of them break out of a really negative mind set. Not everyone for sure, but a few, and it was amazing! She Ra is not like that, I try to write some serious CoW (....look it's funny, I gotta say it at least once because it's fucking funny) I will immediately get jumped for forcing "a lesbian" into a "straight" relationship. My guys, gals, and nonbinary pals, they are not real people. I would not be forcing anyone to do anything. 12. Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

This is a hard one because the fandom at large likes every arc, it just evens out across the encampments of shippers lol. I feel like the most unpopular arc is probably Glimmer's descent in season 4 which I enjoyed a lot because, I mean, c'mon, getting to see Glimmer not fight with herself and instead just selfishly choose things was fantastic. She really just started doing what she wanted without actually considering anyone else or any other options, and it was so fascinating to watch her go for it after several seasons of this side of her being hinted at.

14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

We can WAAAAAY too much about shipping and want to make it everyone's problem.

Stop tagging your anti-whatever shit with shipping tags, block that tag on your side and move along. I don't care why you think C/A is abusive, I don't care why you think A/G is abusive, seriously shut up or keep it in your corner of the fandom.

I've been in fandoms that break down into smaller fandoms (star wars is by era ususally, zelda is by game, etc) and every fandom I've been in has done a good job of keeping their negative opinions contained to spaces where it's others who share it. She Ra is the first fandom I've been in, and I've been doing this 20 years now, where people really couldn't live and let live because they like this ship and if you don't then you're an awful abusive asshole to fit their narrative of victimhood.

You want to know what one of my favorite rarepair crackships is? Catra/Bow. But if I dared to explore it at all, in any fashion, I'd be murdered. The only fic I've ever taken down due to harassment after posting what an explicit Catra/Bow/Glimmer fic where they, as two consenting adults in a poly relationship, agreed to have sex with one another in large part to turn on their girlfriend Glimmer for her birthday. TERFs found that and gave me hell.

Like, you could probably find some of the really awful and explicit shit I posted when I was 13 and had no fucking business writing explicit fic or posting it, but now I'm locked out of my old accounts and can't actually remove them. But no, let's go wild over the C/B/G fic instead!

13. Unpopular opinion about XXX character? (Entrapta and Catra)

I feel like I don't have any unpopular opinions about Entrapta over all? Probably the most controversial thing is that I like that the Princess Alliance was shown mistreating her by leashing her. It's very much portrayed for laughs, but whether they meant to or not think it helped set up another difference between the alliance and the horde. Yeah, at first she's chained up in the Horde as a prisoner and we see how long that lasted, but she is literally given more trust and freedom with the horde. Where's Entrapta? Who knows! As long as she shows up again at some point we don't care. Is she distracted by tech again? Annoying, but alright she IS the tech person. Then Entrapta goes back to the alliance and once again they are just trying to control parts of her because they don't understand. IDK, I like the contrast of it, so even though it wasn't put in respectfully it gets a weird pass from me.

Unpopular but not in the circles I run? Catra did more than enough for a "redemption" on the show. It is amazing how many people hate that take.

Unpopular within the circles I run? Not sure this counts or not, but Catra really is a lot like Shadow Weaver/Light Spinner, and I don't think we lean into that nearly enough (either in the show or fandom tbh). Light Spinner especially really reminds me of Catra in early seasons, and seeing S5 Catra by the end is like seeing what Light Spinner could've been under different circumstances. But Catra is also a lot like Shadow Weaver, she is not wrong or lying when she says she sees herself in Catra. I think we spend too much time trying to justify why Catra is nothing like her, when they are really very similar. And I think that's a big disservice to the narrative of abuse in the show. No one wakes up one day saying, "Well gee golly, today I think I'm going to start being an abuser!" They slide into it and eventually start making justifications to themself for why it's okay/they're allowed/whatever to do what they do. Catra could've been the next Shadow Weaver easily, pretending otherwise lessens the impact of her choices to try and change her own behaviors and thoughts.

15. Unpopular opinion about the manga/show?

The best friend squad is boring. Sorry y'all, S1 and S2 of the BFS are really not that interesting to me. It feels super basic, and the conflict has to be shoved onto them from other sources to have their dynamic work. I think there should've been more infighting and especially with Glimmer jealousy issues. Like, you don't have to go wild with it or anything, but they only start to become interesting to me in S3 when Shadow Weaver starts fucking shit up in the background.

They are cute and fun and I enjoyed their stuff! They just! Are also! Really boring!

(I used to actively filter out any fic that was too focused on the BFS, Glimmer, or Bow. At times I even blocked Adora because I live for the personal conflict drama and that was only even explored with Catra during S1-2)

15.Unpopular opinion about the manga/show?

I like that TCW never really talks about the way the clones are treated. TCW is mostly set from the perspective of the Jedi Order in some way, and I wish there had actually been more jokes made in show about it to be honest. The way clones are treated is horrifying, objectifying, and disgusting. I wish we could've seen more of how awful they were treated side by side with how no one seems to care.

Yes, the Jedi care about the clones, but they are so busy trying to survive themselves that there's nothing left in the tank to try and help them out in a meaningful way. Some members of the Senate care about the clones, but they are either focused on other peoples lives or are too afraid of losing their army to do anything. I love that. I love how fucked up that is, and I love that there are so many times in TCW that something horrible happens to a clone but then gets overshadowed by something else.

The citadel, of course comes to mind. I really love that there were troopers who died horrifying deaths during that rescue, who's bodies are left behind, who are quickly mourned through a wince and then abandoned. Then a Jedi dies and "Well hang on now, we gotta carry his body and give him a proper farewell!".

It's messed up, and I love it.
